This is a quick help file to run through upgrading your Aston/Cryptoworks CAM using Windows 95/98 and PCMCIA.
ATT: Do not use on Aston 1.04 CAM only on 1.00 or 1.03 versions.

Perfrom this at your own risk.. I had no problems, but it could fry your cam...

Files:
load.exe Program to load .bin file to CAM
aston95.inf driver file for Aston CAM under win95
aston98.inf driver file for Aston CAM under win98
cryptoworks95.inf	driver file for Cryptoworks CAM under win95
cryptoworks98.inf	driver file for Cryptoworks CAM under win98
aston103.bin Aston CAM v1.03 update file
cw112.bin Cryptoworks CAM v1.12 update file
cw114.bin Cryptoworks CAM v1.14 update file
UpgradeReadme.txt	This file

Delete the .inf files you don't need, for example leave aston98.inf if using win98 and updating an aston Cam.

Boot your PC into windows insert your cam and when prompted for the driver point it to the directory
with the .inf file. If prompted to restart do so.

Ensure that in device manager you have a Smart Card section with the CAM with no error symbols.
If you have errors you may need to adjust the resource settings.

Only proceed if you are sure of the above.

Run a command prompt change (MS-DOS Prompt) to the temp directory and enter below on one line.

load aston103.bin (for update to aston 1.03)
or
load cw114.bin (for update to Cryptoworks CAM v1.14)
and so on......

It should then cycle through a counter which is programming your cam.

Do not interupt it, breath too heavley etc when it is programming as this will fry your cam.

When it is finished it will tell you.. Press Q to quit.

You can remove your CAM and there you go you have a an updated CAM :-)

Hope this helps you..

Regards,
