WATCH A CLIP: Watch some outtakes from Stanton latest stint on "Twins" co-starring Sara Gilbert and Melanie Griffith. Click here to tune in!

According to the ‘Hollywood Reporter’, Stanton will star in the potential new sitcom ‘Twins’ along with ‘Roseanne’ alum Sara Gilbert. The show will focus on fraternal twin sisters who are total opposites. This is the actress’s first major role since leaving the supernatural NBC soap opera ‘Passions’ in 2004. Stanton had played the troubled teen heroine, Charity Standish, since the shows debut in 1999. Her former co-star Jesse Metcalfe hit it big after exiting ‘Passions’ last summer when he joined the cast of ‘Desperate Housewives.’ Could Stanton be in line for a similar breakout success? If ‘Twins’ is picked-up by The WB, the announcement will be made during their Fall 2005-06 Upfront Presentation in May.

Casting News! Molly Stanton ("Passions") will star opposite Sara Gilbert in the WB's now titled Twins. They play fraternal twins who have nothing in common. The show is set to air in September 2005 on the WB.

LATEST: Molly begins production on the spinoff from Lizzie McGuire Stephanie "Stevie" Sanchez (younger sister of the parent show's Miranda character) in February 2005, playing Candy Johnson. Much like Lizzie, Stevie will feature an animated alter ego that speaks the character's inner thoughts. Kallie Flynn Childress (Sleepover), Blake Foster (Power Rangers), Shane Hunter (Grind), Kelli McCarty (Passions), Armando Molina (Lizzie McGuire), Dyana Ortelli (Lizzie McGuire) & Molly Stanton (Passions) are all welcomed to the cast of Stevie Sanchez. The show is set to air in September 2005. Check back for more info as it becomes available.
