He-man and the Masters of the Universe is believed by many to be the greatest cartoon of all time! He-man was brought to life in the 80's by Filmation. He-man lived a long life of 130 episodes, a Christmas Special, and a full length animated movie, The Secret of the Sword, which introduced his twin sister, She-ra. A live action movie, title Masters of the Universe, was also produced, but was nowhere near the greatness of the animated series. In an attempt to revive the famous franchise, The New Adventures Of He-man debuted in 1990. This new series, now known to many fans as the Space He-man, was a complete flop. The show lasted only one season, leaving many fans feeling that the show had disgraced, and possibly ended, the legacy that is He-man! However, in 2002, the fears that He-man may never rise again were washed away. He-man and the Masters of the Universe, cleverly given the same name as the original, debuted to huge ratings and enormous fan approval. This new show, having only aired a few episodes, has already been labeled by many as being better than the original series! Accompanied by a new wave of fast selling action figures, this new He-man line looks like it's here to stay!
