Mark: "Whew!"
Angie: (singing) "I'm in the finals! "I put a tattoo with my lucky number seven on it. Lucky seven. "Me and Dennis and Mark. This oughtta be fun."
Dennis: "I'm gonna miss you Tracey. I thought you was the Mole. Had me fooled for a minute."
Keeping his promise from the previous night's execution, Mark dons a cape for the final round.
Mark: "Henceforth I shall be known as Mr. Danger! Mr. Danger, he's one of my alter egos who is there to save the world, to do the things that Superman and Batman and all the other superheroes can't do. He's a crime fighter. "For the final challenge, I call upon Mr. Danger!"
Dennis: "Mr. Danger...he just made that up."
The final three walk to a poolside location to find Ahmad reclined smoking a cigar. He congratulates them on outlasting the others and making the finals.
The first order of business involves three silver briefcases to the left of Ahmad. Each player gets one. They are not under any circumstances to open them until Ahmad tells them and they must not let them out of their sights.
The contents of the briefcases could be very valuable to them. Handle with care.
Angie repeats the phrase "handle with care," apparently trying to discern some meaning.
The three take off with their new briefcases.
Angie: "Ahmad told us not to open up that briefcase. When someone tells you not to do something, you always want to do it. You know, one quick look."
Dennis: "I figured that, you know, it's gotta be something like a 007 type of mission."
Mark: "There's something in that briefcase. I didn't know what it was. I thought it was some kind of secret clue. I said 'Let me open up this briefcase and just see.' It can't be an exemption. That briefcase has something to do with money being in the pot."
In the van, Angie asks the other two if they opened the briefcase. Mark says he took a peek.
At a beach, Ahmad asks for two pop culture buffs and one person who likes to get to the bottom of things.
Mark and Dennis will be the pop culture buffs, and Angie will get to the bottom of things.
At the bottom of the lagoon lay many treasure chests, four of which contain gold bullion bars worth $10,000 apiece. The chests are in pairs, and the clues for each are on buoys above the chests. The two pop culture buffs will be in a canoe going from buoy to buoy and radio the clues to the other player, Angie who will be walking on the bottom of the lagoon in a scuba suit and will open the appropriate chest.
There is one catch - the canoe has a rather large hole in it. While Mark and Dennis paddle around looking for the buoys, they must also keep the boat from capsizing. There is no time limit for the game except the boat. If the boat sinks, the game is over.
The game is worth $40,000 total.
Ahmad shows them an example of the clues they will find floating on the water - "CHILD BOULDER."
Mark and Dennis are stymied, but Angie answers correctly "Kid Rock." Too bad she'll be at the bottom of the lagoon.
Angie: "It was a little scary for me because I have a phobia with an open ocean."
Angie will be able to hear Mark and Dennis, but they cannot hear her. Angie can communicate with Ahmad, though, who holds a bullhorn on the beach.
Mark: "The boat had four holes in it. But, see, we have big feet. So I said, 'Dennis, block those holes with your feet."
Ahmad signals the beginning of the game.
Angie: "I tried to pull the boat, but the boat was heavy."
Mark directs Angie to the chests, and Dennis sees the clue marker.
"CELEBRITY BATTLES."
Again, the men in the boat are stuck, but Angie screams in vain that they are morons and this one is easy.
Mark is stuck on Celebrity Mole, wars, battles. He shouts Star Wars! to the beach. Ahmad confirms he is correct.
They tell Angie the first answer, but she must choose the correct chest. One is labeled "OPENED IN 1977." and the other "OPENED IN 1979."
Angie: "Remembering years...I am lousy at that. "I was like, eenie, meenie, minie, moe. "They didn't lower the basket, so I was like trying my best to hook that bag somehow on the life preserver to take it up to them."
She strains to make the choice and in th end picks one but has trouble getting it back up to the surface.
Upon Ahmad's direction, Dennis drops the basket.
"FELINE FOREST." is the next clue.
They get this one quickly - Tiger Woods.
The chests on the bottom have "WON MASTERS IN 1996." and "WON MASTERS IN 1997." on them. She chooses '97 and sends the bag to the surface.
Angie: "When Mark was pulling on that rope, it was pulling that thing off my head, and cocking it sideways."
The boat nearly tips over as Mark pulls the basket in.
Angie: "Every time he would pull the boat, my head would go TCH TCH..."
Ahmad tells Mark not to pull that one.
Mark: "I didn't know what rope was what. I didn't know that was Angie's helmet. Oops."
The next clue is "A VOLKSWAGEN'S EXISTENCE." Mark asks to buy a vowel.
They put the pieces together and correct answer A Bug's Life.
But Angie doesn't know who was in it, dammit. The chests read "MOVIE WITH KELSEY GRAMMER." and "MOVIE WITH KEVIN SPACEY." She never saw it.
Angie decides to guess Kelsey Grammer and swears as she opens the chest.
The two in the boat start taking on more water and the going gets harder as they try to reach the last buoy.
Angie: "Mark and Dennis were really slow getting those codes."
Dennis: "Mark is throwing water in the boat and I've been getting water splashed to my face. I'm like, this guy, he sure is making it obvious, boy. Okay, Mark, I got you now. I guess what's going on with you know. I see you."
Mark: "Sabotage!"
Mark tells Angie to go toward Ahmad, which is funny because she can't see him. Ahmad relays that to the boaters.
Angie: "Where the hell is Ahmad? I can't see him. "I was like, 'Ahmad, could you please tell Mark that he's stupid!'"
Dennis: "I saw her, I saw her underneath the water. I mean, she was, she wasn't really trying to help."
Angie is spending valuable time looking at the fish down under the surface.
Mark: "I guess she, I don't know what she was doing."
Dennis: "It was difficult. Me and Mark had a difficult time trying to get to each buoy."
Angie: "There might have been some sabotage going on in that game. But at one point, I sat down on the chests, and started tapping my fingers, like 'Come on!'"Dennis: "We were really doing a good job. He was actually trying to sink the boat. Just so happy he tipped the boat over on one side and the other side."
Dennis blows "Taps" with a hand trumpet and the boat capsizes.
TEST FAILED TOTAL - $182,000
Mark: "We didn't get no money in that game. But it was fun getting in the water with a cape on."
Ahmad goes over the answers. Angie picked 1979 for Star Wars, but 1977 was correct. She picked 1997 for Tiger Woods, which was correct. She picked Kelsey Grammer for A Bug's Life, but Kevin Spacey was correct.
Mark: "Angie was the one underneath the water, and um, I think, for example, the one question was Kelsey Grammer or Kevin Spacey in A Bug's Life. And if you were an actress, you would have known that. You know, I think, being in this actor world. So she's very suspicious in a lot of things she does. She's very suspicious. "Dennis Rodman wears size 15 shoes. And I was watching him, his foot wasn't on that hole. And that water was coming in. The first thing you do, if you get in a boat with a hole in it is keep your feet on the hole. Dennis, what are you doing?"
Angie: "He wasn't Mr. Danger. He had no superpowers. His powers were to sabotage that game. That's what his powers were. He should have had a big S. Instead of Superman - Sabotage!"
Dennis:"Mr. Danger, he was actually trying to sink the boat. I mean he was actually, you know, wasn't really trying hard enough to, uh, trying to find the treasure."
Ahmad returns the briefcases to their proper owners and assures the players more chances to win money.
Angie: "Mark, you the Mole!"
Mark: "Sabotage!"
Dennis: "Only three people. You know. Not that difficult."
At lunch, the players bitch at one another for their poor performances in the last game. Mark and Angie seem to suspect one another. Dennis still refuses to name a suspect.
Dennis: "Everybody's trying to figure out who is the Mole now. He was trying to figure it out who it is. You know, it's all for one and everybody for himself, That's what this game is all about. What I think now, it's the easiest part of the game right now because you don't really have to think too hard now, because there's only three people in the game. Only three people now."
Mark: "This woman right here is the Mole. Because she had lost money in almost every game. She seemed to sabo - - not sabotage, but in every game something seemed to have happened. Plus, being a supermodel, me and Dennis, well, we don't even mind her messing up. 'It's okay, it's okay. You lost us $50,000. Don't worry about it.'"
Angie: "Dennis would be a good Mole because everyone thinks he's so crazy that the producers would never pick Dennis Rodman as the Mole. 'Cause we just don't know what he's gonna do next.' He didn't say anything, and he gave everything away and he was - he never committed to anything, really. He just kinda followed and watched what everybody else did."
Mark: "Angie, you're the Mole. Dennis, you're the Mole. That way, I'll never be wrong. Just edit that."
The players stand in front of Ahmad blindfolded holding their briefcases. This game will test their memory. He tells them to remove their blindfolds.
He tells the players to pick which one is the fastest, who is good at cleaning up, and which one has the best memory.
It is Dennis, Mark, Angie, respectively.
On the wall behind them are 27 photographs. They have 1 minute to observe them, no talking.
The photographs are about the four-year history of The Mole on American TV.
Talk about an easy game for all of us!
The first panel of pictures shows five people from Mole past, Anderson Cooper, Kathryn Price, Steven Cowels, Bill McDaniel, and Dorothy Hui.
Mark: "Well, the first group, I didn't know who they were. And then, uh, I knew the second group was Celebrity Mole, 'cuz I had watched that last season. So that's all I knew. It was interesting seeing it."
Time is called. Each of the players will get one minute in the room to replace the photographs correctly on the wall, which have now been taken down. Dennis is first, followed by Mark, then Angie. Each correctly re-placed photograph is worth $2,000.
Dennis starts his run. He doesn't move very quickly at all, and places just one picture correctly.
Mark follows.
Mark: "I did what was across from the other picture. That's what I did. You know, almost like when I used to study in college. I'd always do that word association. I paired everybody up in the relationship. So it was like Keshia's picture, with Baldwin. I said Keshia and Baldwin are married. I didn't even realize the second two boards were all the games that we'd played. Duh! Duh!"
Time is called. After Mark's turn, ten pictures are correctly placed.
Angie: "I got the ones that were on my side of the room. More of those right, because I was looking at them, and I remembered where they were. And the other ones, I couldn't remember the order of the games. So, because after so many days it was all kind of jumbled together."
Ahmad calls time to end Angie's turn.
All three players meet back in the room. Ahmad goes over the results. Dennis had one picture right.
Mark: "That looks like a last-ditch effort to me to Mole something out. Dennis Rodman!"
Mark had ten. Angie had twenty. So $40,000 is won.
However, the briefcases now come into play. What was inside the briefcases were the answers to this challenge. Each page was printed on photographic paper. If under development, the paper remains white, that means the player did not open the briefcase. If it turns black, they did. If all three players kept their briefcases closed, the $40,000 won in this game will become $80,000.
Ahmad takes the briefcases to go develop the paper.
Upon his return, the briefcases are opened. Mark opens his. The paper is white. He shows the back, which does indeed have the answers.
Angie opens hers. Also white.
Dennis cracks his briefcase open. His paper is black. No extra $40,000. Ahmad and the other two players can't believe he looked but still only got one correct picture.
TEST PASSED - +$40,000 TOTAL - $222,000
Angie: "He got one right, and he opened up his briefcase? Please."
Mark: "Dennis Rodman opened up the briefcase, looked at the answers, and still get one on the test. That's an impossibility. Only a mole, somebody who wants to sabotage something, can do that. Dennis Rodman, we got your drift, man. We follow you. We know what you're up to."
Dennis: "People say, why'd he open the brief - - why did that dumb sun of a g un open the briefcase knowing that he shouldn't a did it? That's a part of the game, right? You manipulate it, you uh, you do what you gotta do to try to throw the game in a big twist. I've already saw the answers. I saw the answers. I knew where, the, uh, folders were."
Ahmad forces an apology from Dennis.
Mark: "Angie did a good job in the game. Now I've changed my mind. Dennis is the Mole. Dennis is the Mole. Is Dennis sticking his head out because he's the Mole? Ha ha. I bet if you go to his room, I bet he didn't sleep on his bed but underneath the bed, 'cuz moles like to sleep underneath the ground."
The players and host sit at the long dinner table with nine places made out, but only four being used. Ahmad reminisces to when all the places were full and again lauds the final three for making it all the way.
Angie: "I've made it to the finals, whoo-hoo, without dying. Now is when it's down to the nitty gritty."
Ahmad offers cheers and good luck on the final quiz.
The aired questions were numbers 1, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 19, and 20.
1. Is the Mole male or female?
Angie: "Mark Curry, he's funny. I can't quite get a read on him. He'd make a great Mole."
Dennis: "He sure is making it obvious. He's throwing water in the boat."
Mark: "Angie, I think had the most suspicious moments of everybody. Without Angie, somebody could have had an exemption and money in the pot. That was suspicious."
2. How was the Mole introduced in the Taxi Loco game?
3. What is the Mole's journal number?
4. What role did the Mole play in the Artifact or Fiction game?
Dennis: "It's easy to lie, but it's very difficult to really lie good."
5. What did the Mole do during the Moon over Yucatan game?
6. What outcome did the Mole bring to the Piņata Party game?
7. In which piņata was the Mole stuffed in the Piņata Party game?
Angie: "The pig was the first piņata chosen by Mark. And usually, men are not going to pick something pink. It has the exemption, and pink?"
Mark: "The piņata game - 10 grand out right there. She stepped out of the circle. Suspicious. You can't stay in the circle? Uh oh, think about it."
8. How much money did the Mole's team win during the Clucks for Bucks game?
9. In the maze game, was the Mole a navigator or a runner?
Dennis: "Somebody forgot to tell me one little piece of advice. Take the belt with you. No one told me that before I went in. It was setup."
10. Did the Mole earn money for the pot during the Tequila Shooters game?
Angie: "The only one that was suspicious during that game was Mark. We're all on the bridge, and Mark is in front, and he stops, and causes every single one of us to lose our bottles. Sabotage."
11. What was the Mole's role in the Still Life painting game?
Mark: "I told Angie to paint a face. She painted a face that looked like Mick Jagger, on drugs, looking at himself in a broken mirror. Something. I didn't know what that was."
12. At the third execution dinner, what did the Mole say their adult film name would be?
13. During the Donkey Ralley game, was the Mole a member of Team Paco or Team Pepe?
Angie: "I just think that Mark sabotaged quite a bit. He attempted at the very beginning to read out of the book. Was told that he couldn't lead my donkey. He led my donkey. He put the banana in the bag when he said he wasn't taking any bananas."
14. During the Graduate game, how many questions did the Mole answer correctly?
15. Has the Mole received an exemption in this season of Celebrity Mole?
Mark: "Dennis Rodman is definitely the Mole. He passed up an exemption earlier. You don't pass up an exemption. I don't care how cool you are, how wild and crazy you are."
16. Who was sitting next to the Mole at the last execution ceremony?
17. What role did the Mole play during the Treasure Code game?
18. At the beginning of the flashback game, what color was the Mole's blindfold?
19. What role did the Mole play during the Flashback game?
Mark: "He knew if he opened up that briefcase it was going to sabotage some cash from the group, and so he opened that briefcase. Only a mole, somebody who wants to sabotage something, can do that. Dennis Rodman, we got your drift, man."
20. Who is the Mole?
Each player now says they are not the Mole.
