The Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival kicks off on 4th September 2005 with Mr. S R Nathan, President of the Republic of Singapore, as Guest of Honour. Appearing in his first major community event in his new term, the Mid-Autumn Festival was launched with the release of 25 Kung Ming Lanturns and the Chinatown Lanturn Dragon Eye Dotting.
