Lexi Through the Seasons

Season Four

When Dr. Brett Cooper moved out to L.A., his soon to be ex wife, Lexi Sterling, followed him and hooked up with Peter, now Coop's partner in a private practice. The two snuck around until Coop's divorce was settled then revealed themselves and Lexi moved in with Peter. Peter was unaware that she was suffering from a pill addiction. Coop still prescribed pills to Lexi. Peter found out, and once Lexi figured out that Peter knew, she drove her car and hit a stranger. The stranger could barely remember her so Peter tried to cover the incident by painting her car and feigning ignorance.

Season Five

Jennifer Mancini found out about this and blackmailed Lexi to let Coop off the hook from his alimony checks, hoping this would indirectly benefit Michael. Lexi, upset over the occurence, overdosed for the last time on pills. The guy who Lexi hit, Bob, came to Lexi and Peter's home and asked to stay there. Eventually, he realized Lexi was the one who hit him, and threatened Peter. Lexi finds out Peter is still in love with Amanda. Lexi was distraught over this and, in a moment of vulnerability, told Bob the truth about the accident. He said he cared about Lexi and would go to the police and drop the charges. When the two returned home, Bob found Peter and Lexi ordered him out of the house. They told him the whole thing was a fix-up just for him to drop the charges. Bob left, and Lexi's father, Thomas Sterling, arrived. Behind Lexi's back, he made it clear to Peter that he didn't like him. He gave Lexi money to start a business, provided that Coop was her partner, thinking that Coop was the only one ever good enough for Lexi. Peter, fed up with this, hid a tape recorder and wanted to get Thomas on tape voicing his hate. While Peter's plan was set in motion, Thomas had a stroke and died. Later, Megan recovered the tape from Peter's jacket pocket and played it for Lexi. Lexi then dumped Peter. Lexi and Coop went to the reading of her father's will and there was a hidden clause which only Coop and Peter knew about -- if Coop remarries Lexi within the next year, then the two of them will inherit 10 million dollars. Peter and Lexi got back together when she got over the death, but Peter then realized that he was still in love with Amanda and dumped Lexi to pursue Amanda again. Lexi found herself in financial trouble with her late father's business, Sterling-Conway Enterprises, and she could be jailed for some incriminating documents that she signed. Peter told Lexi about the clause and Coop and her married, making life complicated for Megan, who was engaged to Coop.

Season Six

Lexi decided she wanted Coop back so began making a play for him. Megan had to save Lexi when she realized Coop was trying to kill her and Coop left town. Lexi got herself out of financial trouble and turned Sterling-Conway into an advertising agency, hiring Megan. She learned that Peter was responsible for a kidnapping that put Amanda's life in jeopardy and demanded that either he sleep with her or she'll tell Amanda everything. Peter refused and Lexi started to tell Amanda but Peter stopped her, and then Lexi decided that she wanted to go after Amanda instead. She publicized the news of Sterling-Conway being an ad agency to compete with AWA.When Amanda was nominated for businesswoman of the year, Lexi started a rumor that Amanda slept with the coordinator to get the award. Amanda found out just in time to humiliate Lexi. Lexi started seducing Ryan McBride and Megan saw them together, which almost shattered Megan and Lexi's friendship. Megan forgave Lexi and Lexi made her a VP in the company.

Season Seven:

Amanda, Lexi, and Eve buried the hatchet for a PR move to donate money to the Wilshire children's division. Lexi suspected that Amanda and Eve were hiding a secret about Eve, who was then married to Peter. Lexi started attacking Eve for more info but then told Peter to ask Eve about it. After realizing that she couldn't spend another Christmas alone, Lexi recruited Megan to find her Mr. Right. After placing a series of ads and tests, Megan found out that Ryan matched as Lexi's Mr. Right. Lexi got hold of Megan's laptop and found that information, so launched a plan to steal Ryan away from her. She tried to hit on Ryan in Hawaii by getting drunk with him. They ended up spending the night together, but Lexi had no intention of confessing what happened to Megan because she knew it would damage their friendship. So she tried the next best thing, she discovered from Ryan's ex-fiances that the person would propose to Ryan, then he'd leave on a business trip to New York, then come back, and call off the engagement. They described getting engaged to Ryan McBride as the "kiss of death." Lexi saw this at the perfect chance to split Ryan and Megan. She got Megan to propose to Ryan, who later confessed to sleeping with Lexi. Megan broke off the friendship with Lexi, and she tried a plan to discover the truth of Ryan's past, using Michael along with her. They disguised themselves as a priest and nun and found out Ryan had a daughter. Lexi told Ryan the truth of what happened, and he got back together with Megan. Lexi and Michael then fell together and she plotted to steal the Tony Marlin account from Amanda. Lexi managed to get Tony to sign on the dotted line, but he died in her bed before any further action could be taken. Michael and Lexi set it up so it would look like Tony died at his desk. Lexi then took Eve back to Oakhurst, where she would be sure to remember what happened on that night she pushed Kent Demarr off the bleachers. As it turned out, Amanda had actually killed Kent with a rock. Lexi planned to call the police and tell them everything, but Eve knocked her out before she could. When she and Michael escaped Eve's trap, they called the police, only to be arrested themselves for supposedly running down Amanda and Peter. They were cleared and Michael tried to go through with his wedding to Lexi in the pool, which ended with Lexi telling him that she was only going to cheat on him later down the line and he deserves better. Upon hearing that Peter had supposedly died in a cabin explosion, Lexi went to his and Amanda's funeral, only to have Eve throw his "ashes" all over her. Lexi was last seen brushing Peter's ashes off.
