Ridge Racer V

Ai Fukami memory card icon The memory card icon starts out as a car. After beating the game and unlocking everything, the icon will turn into Ai Fukami.

Unlock Pac-Man Once you've raced over 3,000 kilometers, the Pac-Man race will become available to you. Win the Pac-Man race, and the Pac-Man car and the ghosts on mopeds will become available.

Third-person-view onscreen display While racing in the third-person perspective, hold select to display onscreen information.

"Intro effects"

Press the R1 button to cycle through different graphic effects for the intro sequence, change the intro to black and white, to a yellow tint, and a blur effect. Press L1 to cycle back.

"Unlock bonus cars"

Successfully complete each of the Grand Prix circuits to unlock new cars. Breaking the time-attack high scores also unlocks additional cars.

"Unlock duel mode"

Finish in first place in lap and overall time in the standard time attack GP.

"Unlock 99 lap mode"

Set the top score in each race of the time-attack GP in extra mode, finishing in first place.

"50s Super Drift Caddy"

Finish in first place in the Danver Spectra race in duel mode to unlock the '50s Super Drift Caddy car in free run, time attack, and duel modes.

"Devil Drift"

Finish in first place in the Rivelta Crinale race in duel mode to unlock the Devil Drift car in free run, time attack, and duel modes.

"VW Beetle"

Finish in first place in the Solort Rumeur race in duel mode to unlock the new style VW Beetle car (with super-grip handling) in free run, time attack, and duel modes.

"McLaren F1 clone"

Finish in first place in the Kamata Angelus race in duel mode to unlock the McLaren F1 clone in free run, time attack, and duel modes.
