Trapper was Hawkeye’s first bunkmate in the Swamp and helepd to build the infamous still. Although married and devoted to his family in his own way, Trapper managed to date most of the nurses at the 4077th.
Trapper came from Boston, Massachusetts and missed home a lot during his time in Korea. When a rumour started that the war was over, Trapper was the only person pessimistic enough not to believe it, and in the end he turned out to be right.
When a little Korean boy named Kim came to the outfit everyone thought he was an orphan and Trapper and his wife wanted to adopt him. Trapper was very glad because he felt he finally had a reason for being in Korea, whereas before he had seen it as senseless. He was very disappointed when Kim’s mother was found.
Trapper eventually left the 4077th when he collected enough points to return home.
