Part 6

"Well, at least they didn't take our car."  Majken commented as she buckled herself into the front passenger seat.  

With Birkoff settled into the back seat and Majken watching the front entrance for any sign of Jess, Adriana started the car and pulled out onto the main street, heading towards the BB's temporary HQ.  

Stoping at a red light, Adriana glanced over towards Majken.  "Was there any sign of Jess?"

"Nope.  Didn't see her.  I think she fell for it."

"Lets hope so, because the last thing we need right now is more complications.  Majken, I want you to get on your cell phone and call Sage, let her know we are en route to..."

"Adriana, Majken?"  Birkoff interrupted, glancing nervously behind him.  
"Uh...I think someone's following us."

"What?!  Can you tell who it is?  Is it Jess?"  Majken questioned as she turned around in her seat to get a better look at the car following them.

"No I can't.   They're too far away.  Adriana, slow down a bit and let them catch up."

"Right.  Got it.  Majken, you might want to go ahead and call Sage, let her know what’s happening and make sure to get Katoa'a and Gap's last location. See what they want us to do."  While glancing in her rear view mirror, Adriana stepped off the gas and began gently slowing the car down.  The only problem was, the more Adriana's speed dropped, so did their pursuers.

Ann, Raine, Sage and iluvbirkoff sat quietly in the black car parked outside of the Oreo plant.  They had watched as Katoa’a picked the lock and opened the door to the abandoned building, allowing the two BB's to be lead inside at gunpoint by Sandy.  

Raine was in the process of getting various info on the plant such as structure and layout while they tracked Katoa'a and Gap's progress on their screen.  Without correct information, one wrong turn in the dark building could blow their whole mission, not to mention putting the two BB's lives in danger, and the waiting was tense.  The only sound or movement came from the rapid taping of Raines fingers as they flew over the keys of her laptop, trying to get the information as quickly as possible.  Just then, the shrill ringing of Sages cell phone disturbed the quiet, making the BB's jump.  

"Hello?"

"Sage?  Its Majken.  We're on our way to your location but there's a problem. Someone is following us.  Adriana is slowing down now to figure out who it is, we think its probably Jess but cant be sure."  Majken yelled over the cell phone static while she sat turned around in her seat, keeping an eye on the car behind them.

Watching the car behind her slow down, Adriana knew this wouldn’t work.  They needed answers and fast.  Making a quick decision, Adriana checked to make sure everyone was buckled in and that there were no other immediate cars within the area.  "Birkoff, Majken...this isn't working...hold on tight."

"What?  Hold on?"  Majken looked confused but did as Adriana said, grabbing hold of the door handle and bracing herself.  Then remembering Sage was on the phone, she put it back up to her left ear in time to hear Sage's concerned voice over the static.

"Majken?  Majken?  What’s going on?"

"Sage.  Hold on.  Tell ya in a minute."

Just then, Adriana slammed on the brakes after going around a corner.   Causing all three to slide rapidly forward into their seat belts as the car came to a screeching halt, bringing their pursuer to a stop right behind them.

Birkoff turned around and saw that it was Jess with a com unit in one ear who had been following them.  "Its Jess!  She's got a com unit too.  She probably knows where Gap, Katoa'a and Sandy are."

"Yea, and I'll bet they want the necklace and Jess is here to make sure we don’t interfere with Gap and Katoa'a telling Sandy where it is." Majken stated.

Pushing on the gas pedal, Adriana peeled away from Jess and began racing down the semi-deserted streets, sticking to the less populated areas and weaving in and out in an attempt to lose Jess who now followed right behind them.  

Turning her attention back towards the phone, Majken hoped Sage was still there.  "Sage?  Did you hear all of that?"

"Yes, I heard.  You're right.  You've got to stop Jess, make sure she doesn’t get to where Sandy is.  Majken.  Tell Adriana not to go to the HQ.  Gap lead Sandy to the abandoned Oreo plant.  We're there now on the north side of the building, just waiting on more intel before proceeding.  You guys will be back up.  I doubt we'll need it but just in case Jess comes with more friends, we'll need you there.  When you get here, meet up with us so we can tell you the plan.  I've got to go.  Good luck."

Turning off her cell phone, Majken told Adriana what Sage had said before digging through her purse in an attempt to find her gun.

"What are you doing?"  Adriana glanced hurriedly at Majken as she turned around another corner, still not able to shake Jess off her tail.

"Trying to find my gun.  I figure if we blow out one of her front tires that should stop her.  Ah!  Here it is!"  Majken pulled her 9-millimetre gun out of her purse and unbuckled her seat belt while Adriana hit the power windows button.  As Majken began to pull herself out of the window enough for a clear shot, Adriana began to slow down and pull onto a street that was fairly straight and in good condition.  Taking aim, Majken fired off three shots and successfully shot out Jess' tire, forcing Jess to loose control of her car and crash into a streetlight.  

Sighing in relief; Adriana, Majken and Birkoff all relaxed in their seats.   Slowing down somewhat, Adriana turned onto the street that would take them towards the four BB's waiting for them and in less than a minute they were parked next to the other BB car.  

Majken got out first, gun in hand, and let Birkoff out of the back seat while Adriana pulled her similar 9 millimetre from behind her back.  Walking over towards Sage, who had gotten out of the black car, the three huddled around the laptop Sage had pulled out and listened as she explained their latest mission.

Gap and Katoa'a stumbled through the dark and abandoned Oreo plant with only sporadic beams of moonlight to guide their way.  Moonlight which glinted off the deadly steel of Sandy's gun, pointed at the back of Gap's head.  

"Where is it?"  Sandy's voice echoed throughout the dust covered building as they zigzagged their way in between crates and boxes, heading for the middle of the abandoned oreo plant.
