When two men are murdered in the same way, Mulder and Scully find out that their young daughters look exactly alike though they are not twins. The investigations leads agents to terrifing truth.
Young Teena Simmons is the only witness of her father's secret death. He is found at the backyard, out of the
blood. Scully and Mulder interview Teena and learn about "the red lighting" and "the men from the
clouds who have come after her dad". During the interview Scully gets call about another murder. It took place
in Kalifornia at exactly the same time and the circumstances are identical. Meanwhile Teena is kidnapped from Social
Services Hospital. 
Agents go to the second victim's house to talk with the family. There, they discover that the man's daughter; Cindy
looks like she was a twin sister of Teena. They learn from Cindy's mother that they were problems with get her
pregnant so they decided to use in-vitro fertilization.
They leave the house. Mulder decides to keep an eye on Cindy, while Scully goes to the Luther Stapes Clinic where
Mrs. Reardon got pregnent. There Scully talks with dr Katz who shows her files whers Scully finds that both families
were treated by the same female doctor. Dr Katz tells Scully that they had a lot of problems with her. She was
doing the experiments. Then she desappeared.
Mulder suspects that mabey now she wants to destroy its resultats.He gets a message from Deep Throat. They meet
and Deep Throat tells Mulder about the secret project from Cold War times called Litchfield Project. The Goverment
has created six identical boys and six identical girls. Deep Throat organised a meeting with one of the girls,
who now is adult and is prisoned in Litchfield. It is Eve 6. She tells agents that Adams and Eves had extra hromosomes
and that made them stronger and more inteligent, but gave them also psychosys.She and two other Eves a
re the only who survived. Eve 6 shows a
picture from childhood. It presents eight little girls. All of them look exactly the same like Teena and Cindy.
Mulder and Scully come back keep an eye on Cindy. But she gets kidnapped anyway by Dr Kendrick who is Eve 7. She
takes her to Point Rays where she has already taken Teena. The worker of the hotel notices them and informs the
police. Eve 7 presents Cindy to Teena. She talks with the girls and asks why they killed fathers. The girls admit
that they have known about each other from some time. They killed fathers because "they weren't they fathers"
anyway. Teena and Cindy manage to poison Sally Kendrick, too. When Mulder, Scully and police arrive, it is to late.
The girls tell that Eve 7 and another woman who looked alike tried to killed them and that another lady managed
to escape. Scully and Mulder decide to take girls back.
On the way home, girls want to use the bathroom. Mulder stops the car and they all go to cafeterie. Mulder orders
sodas. When everybody is in the bathroom, Cindy gets out and puts the poison to Mulder and Scully's drinks. But
Mulder forgets his car key so he had to go back and discovers its traces at the table. When Teena and Cindy discover
that agents already know the truth, they escape. But Mulder catchs them soon and they are taken to custody.
Scully and Mulder talk to Mrs Reardon but she telles them she doesn't care about Cindy, because she has never been
her daughter.
In the prison for mental ill in Litchfield, Cindy and Teena are prisoned as Eve 9 and Eve 10. They meet there Eve
6. They also have a guest. It is Dr Alicia Hughes - Eve 8. She tells them she comes for them, but they admit that
they just knew about it.
