Episode 1: Last Stop Vienna

In the heart of Vienna, a bomb explodes. A pursuit across the roofs ensues, and ends in a shooting. Rex’s boss is killed, and Rex himself badly injured. Richie Moser knows he can save Rex, but Rex has refused any food. In most cases, the dog is to be put to sleep, but Rex breaks out of his kennel. Moser thinks he knows where to find Rex...

Episode 2: Diagnosis Murder

Dr Graf does an autopsy on a body from the insane asylum in Vienna. Although the corpse smells of caraway schnapps, there is no sign of alcohol in the dead man's blood, which leads to the assumption that this was a murder. Two others from the asylum have also died, and their deaths were presumed to be suicide. They were both alcoholics. The question now arises, is there a connection? Inspector Moser goes into the clinic posing as a patient and finds himself in a dangerous situation

Episode 3: Respectable Neighbourhood (a.k.a A fine house)

In the attic of a terraced houce, on new years, a woman is found hanged. No suicide as it turns out, the crate she eledgedly jumped off is too small. The inhabitants of the house attempt to pass themselves off as ‘fine people’, until Rex finds the body of a man, locked in a refridgerator.

Episode 4: The Body at Schoenbrunn

A zoo worker finds a murdered woman in the grounds of the park surrounding the famous Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. Alarmed, he covers her body under a pile of leaves and runs away. But he is seen by an elderly lady who takes a daily walk in the park. She is the only witness and helps the police make up an identikit picture.

Episode 5: Perfect Murder

First the innkeeper dies, then it's his sister-in-law's turn. Are both murders a family affair? Hans, the innkeeper, his wife, his brother and his sister-in-law all work in the family business in Vienna. Hans and his sister-in-law meet regularly in the cellar for their on-going affair. One night, Hans suddenly collapses and dies of a heart attack. The coroner finds that it was deliberately induced, and the other family members all become suspects. Then the sister-in-law overdoses on sleeping pills. That alerts the nose of Inspector Rex to sniff out the real story behind these sudden deaths and the culprit who committed what seemed to be the perfect murder.

Episode 6: Deadly Teddys

Who put the explosive in the teddy bears? Moser has a broken leg and is working from home with Rex looking after him. When a bomb inside a teddy bear explodes in a toy shop, their talents are needed for the case. There has already been a similar case in a department store. The teddy bear is made by Gurmann, a firm which also sells explosives and has recently sacked a number of employees, all of whom have a possible motive. Moser and Rex investigate.

Episode 7: Dance On the Volcano

At the Viennese Ballet Academy, drama ensues when a criminal takes some young ballerinas hostage. Borek is a hardened criminal dealing in high-grade pure plutonium, who escapes from jail with the help of a friend. When he is nearly recaptured, he takes a group of ballet students and their attractive young teacher hostage and threatens to kill them. Inspector Moser and Rex face the impossible task of overpowering him without risking lives

Episode 8: First Prize

A twelve-year-old girl has just won a prize in a piano competition. When her mother is not home after school one day, the little girl goes out again and is found dead two days later strangled in a cellar. Another girl of the same age who was also found dead had piano lessons with the same music teacher who is now a prime suspect. Rex is called in to investigate, employing his exceptional hearing ability 400 times stronger that of the human ear to help solve the mystery.

Episode 9: Bring Me the Head Of Beethoven

A stonemason, Nemetz, gets into Beethoven's grave in Vienna's famous Central Cemetery and steals the skull in order to make a packet.

Episode 10: Amok

A group of swinging friends meet regularly in a castle at weekends. They are frightened of AIDS and they have one rule: they can have sex freely within the group, but not outside it. When a member of the group, Stefan Lanz, is admitted to hospital after a car accident, he learns that his blood test is HIV positive. He is convinced that it is from someone in the group. When dead bodies turn up, Rex and Inspector Moser are on the scene.

Episode 11: Escape To Death

In a remote parking lot at the outskirts of a town of Vienna a corpse is found in a dumpster - without identity papers. Moser and his team assume that the man is an illegal immigrant . With Rex ' assistance Moser finds organization, which operates more than slave trade: It murders immigrants from the east, in order to sell their kidneys on the international black market. Whilst attempting to arrest gang members, Moser is taken prisoner . Rex finds the severely wounded Moser in a cellar, into which the criminals have him imprisoned. A race with the time begins...

Episode 12: The Old Lady Murders

Rex, Moser and a small boy are on the case when three wealthy, elderly ladies from the same part of Vienna disappear. The only clues are a cap found by a small boy in a lift shaft, traces of a sealant used at building sites, and plastic bags from Kopetzky's Delicatessen, which had all three victims on its home delivery list.

Episode 13: Under the Streets Of Vienna

Inspector Moser and Rex descend into the sewers underneath Vienna to solve a murder mystery. When workers find the arms and legs of a dismembered corpse in one of Vienna's sewers, the man's identity is very hard to identify as several body parts are missing, notably his head.

Target Rex 

Rex is kidnapped by a gang of criminals and Inspector Moser puts his career on the line in order to save him.
