"The Coronation's Back On Again!"Both doors of the Council Chamber flew open, banging soundly against the walls. All the Council members stared, some half-rising in their seats. Lord Rupert did rise fully to his feet, a look of dawning hope on his face.
Chancellor Griswold spread his arms grandly and waved his hands. "Gentlemen, the crisis is over!" He dashed along the table, slapping shoulders and backs, gripping hands, taking hold of documents and hurling them in the air. When he reached Lord Rupert he beamed even more. "The Kingdom is safe again! He's coming home! The coronation's back on again!"
Lord Rupert's face lit up as brilliantly as the sun, and his cheers were the loudest of all as he ripped up the document signing away the Kingdom's sovereignty and threw the pieces high before clasping the chancellor in a rough embrace and dancing about. All the regents and advisors were on their feet now, cheering and laughing and shouting their excitement.
At last, at long last, they could get to the real business. Wendell was coming back where he belonged, and with his arrival would come endless peace and serenity. Nothing would ever threaten the Fourth Kingdom again.
