Macster - The Missing Links
"Where Are All the Matches?"Bluebell had his large forehead scrunched up, and then understanding dawned across his face. It was as if he'd actually had a thought.
"I think...we might be in her pocket," Bluebell said in amazement.
Blabberwort stared at her brother in consternation, and saw the same expression reflected on Burly's features. They couldn't have heard that right. "What?" Burly asked in disbelief.
Undeterred by their doubt, Bluebell remained insistent. "I think she might have shrunk us...and put us in a matchbox in her pocket."
For a moment Blabberwort allowed herself to believe him, and a shiver of fear ran through her as she and Burly gazed with new eyes at their prison. Luckily she regained what little sense she'd had to begin with and smacked Bluebell across the face. Burly followed suit.
"That's ridiculous!" he snapped. "You're falling to pieces, get a grip on yourself!" Gesturing around the cell, he continued, "How can we be in a matchbox, you idiot? Where are all the matches?"
Bluebell frowned, then looked crestfallen at this unassailable logic. Clearly he had not considered that aspect of the situation...but then he never did think things through.
Blabberwort nodded emphatically in agreement with Burly. Snorting, she turned away. Sometimes she didn't know how Bluebell could be their brother.
