My name is Philippa, but most of you know me under my webalias Nesciri, which in fact is the only name I’ve used on the web.
2. How old will you be on your next birthday-include the date if you want?
Believe it or not my birthday is 29th Oct and I will be -choking sounds- 34.
3. Tell us a little about your childhood.
Raised on the Swedish West coast (where the beaches beat the Californian
ones -grin-) my younger sister and I usually hanged out on the beaches which
was only a short bike ride away, in early age playing cowboys and Indians
(the foundation of my more recent obsession of TYR
;-)) and later for
checking out boys. The interest of the Wild West also took meant watching
endless reruns of Bonanza and The Little House on The Praire and various
other Westerns on TV and reading a small (originally German) cartoon
magazine about a young Kiowa(!) chief and his white friend. I still got a
few examples of that magazine left and now I can’t believe that we found it
so fascinating that we used the weekly allowance to buy it. Did all the
other normal stuff, went to school, travelled through Europe with my parents
and tried out different sports, basket team, handball team, tennis,
badminton and a poor attempt at learning to play the violin. Influenced by a
friend I took up riding lessons, but ended that when Dad decided to get a
horse. Then I probably managed to grow up - at least I think I did.
4. Are you married, have children?
So far family life has eluded me, but I hope that one day you’ll find me with a nice husband and two adorable kids :-)
5. What do you wanna be when you grow up?
Day dreamer and writer - and sometimes I even manage to reach to those ambitions on my job-while-waiting. However, the only way I will be able to achieve this is by not growing up and in some miraculous way get hold of enough money not to worry about them.
6. What really annoys you the most?
When people don’t listen - and one of the reasons why I hate it is because sometimes and not very good at it myself. And dishonesty. I do not like dishonesty.
7. Who are your fave characters and why?
Cody. Because he is Cody.
8. When did you find the TYR sites on the web and start visiting them regularly?
I found Wendy’s The Pony Express Station in the end of 1997 and explored the TYR world from there. From beginning of 1998 I was a regularly visitor and autumn 1998, my own site, Ponnyexpressen, was born. Fashionably designed with a pee green (yack) background and the title in a green sunset something it harboured a few pages and my second fan fic, The Name Of The Game.
9. Who was the first person that you had contact with from TYR land?
Michiko. We used to chat for hours and exchange recipes, I got Japanese ones and she got Swedish. Normally it was late night for her and just after work for me and since these chats took place with me still in the office it normally ended with Michiko being tired and me hungry, LOL. Then I found Kathy from Australia, who became my very first beta-reader and an immense help. And other amazing TYR fans as the girl that copied and sent me TYR tapes all the way from Australia just out of kindness. That’s what TYR friends are all about.
10. Do you have a site or share a site with someone?
I do have a site called Ponnyexpressen (http://w1.864.telia.com/~u86402084/), although most of you probably knew the part called The Reading Room (http://w1.864.telia.com/~u86402169/) best.
11. If you could be one character from the show(guest stars included)who would it be?
Cody. Because he didn’t have too many love problems and a lot more adventures :-)
12. Which ep is your fave and least fave and why?
My fav ep…sigh…all Cody ep, except Survivors… and especially the one featuring Bart the Bear. And my fav answer to why - because they deal with Cody’s adventures, LOL.
Least fav…let’s see - the one with Janusz Tarkowski, the blacksmith. It does not bring out any special features of the characters except Jesse and, nae, I just didn’t like it. And now I revealed my lousy knowledge of episode titles.
13. If you could meet one person-dead or alive-who would that be and why?
My grand-grand mother that was forced to divorce her husband and leave her two teenage children and then put on a boat to America by her former husband and his new wife, where she allegedly was stabbed to death by an American lover. I would love to hear her side of the story.
14. If you had five minutes on national tv to discuss any subject-what would it be and why?
National TV - hmm - in my case that would be Swedish TV, so the choice is obvious: Why they, as non-commercial TV, never ever, have showed the best TV show on earth, TYR?
