Fan of the Month

August 2002

This month's fan has been around now for four years. Not only is she a brilliant writer, she is also the co-webmistress of The Buck Stop and co-president of the Buckettes. Our fan this month is none other than Lisa!

Lisa

1. What is your name or TYR name?

Lisa, some people know me by my screenname/email which is Cassadine1.

2. How old will you be on your next birthday-include the date if you want?

I will be 28 on my next Birthday, Sept 4.

3. Tell us a little about your childhood.

I was born in the South Bronx where I lived until I was 3, then my family moved to a housing project in the North East section of the Bronx (not too far from the Connecticut border) where I still live. My parents are still together after 35 yrs, I have an older bro and I lived with my grandmother (very typical of a Hispanic family LOL). I had a pretty normal childhood, I always enjoyed music (I come from a musical family) so I sang a lot, did a lot of school plays and had a musical theater minor in college.

4. Are you married, have children?

Not married, no Kids except for a nephew whom I spoil.

5. What do you wanna be when you grow up?

LOL, I wanted to be a lawyer but I don't have the patience for any more school ( I am a certified paralegal though). If I had my wish I'd sing professionally but I hate auditioning so that'd never happen LOL. But I can say that I am happy in my chosen field, I'm a Treasury Asst. for a multimillion dollar paper company in lower Manhattan.

6. What really annoys you the most?

It used to be people who stick their noses into business that doesn't concern them or people who make assumptions without really knowing the whole story first. But I'm learning to ignore that, 9/11 affected me and others like me who saw and or experienced the tragedy firsthand immensely and I realize life is too short to let things bother you.

7. Who are your fave characters and why?

Buck Cross :0)
I always liked the soft spoken brooding type, he was the kind of guy you wanted to hug. I also identified with him, being a minority and having to deal with the prejudice associated with it.

8. When did you find the TYR sites on the web and start visiting them regularly?

Roughly 4 yrs ago (wow has it been that long?) I was a fan of the UPN show Legacy, which Brett Cullen starred on, on a whim I checked the web for TYR sites cause I loved the show when it originally aired on ABC, at the time there were 5 sites tops. I started visiting and I've never stopped. :0)

9. Who was the first person that you had contact with from TYR land?

Joanna welcomed me with open arms.

10. Do you have a site or share a site with someone?

I am the Co-Pres of the Buckettes (the very first organized fan group on the web) and I share the site with my bestest friend Melissa whom I met on the net through her other TYR site.

11. If you could be one character from the show(guest stars included)who would it be?

Hmmmm . . . . I always loved Jane. I would have said Kathleen for the whole kissy thing but I dislike her too much to even consider it seriously LOL.

12. Which ep is your fave and least fave and why?

My favs are the Exchange or Home of the Brave, least favorite is anything that Buck's not in (I skipped A LOT of 3rd season eps LOL)

13. If you could meet one person-dead or alive-who would that be and why?

I'm a CW buff soooooo, maybe Abe Lincoln or Belle Boyd. Love the era, love the stories from the time.

14. If you had five minutes on national TV to discuss any subject-what would it be and why?

Ooooh that's good . . . . I'd probably want to discuss homeland security, boring sure, but because living in the city (er NYC) will never be the same it's a subject near and dear to my heart.
