True Love With Us Conquers All

Chapter 1:

The cold night air , caressed Harmony with its tenderness. In the past couple days, many lives in harmony were completely changed, and everything had gone topsy turvey. The truth behind Ivy and Sam Bennett's secret past , had finally been revealed , causing the most catastrophic events in harmony. Not only , did the revelation of them as past lovers , and how her family , as well as the Cranes , ultimately altered and manipulated her life , to their own advantage , but also , the truth of the fact , that her son, raised as Ethan Crane , was in truth and in fact , the son of her former lover, Sam Bennett.

The shock came to everyone. Relationships and friendships were completely changed after that night. Though Julian and alistair also attemptd to use the upsetting revelation , to manipulate sheridan , into changing the direction she and luis were planning for their life, they were unsuccessful , and luis's continuous reassurance of his love for her and his committment , seemed to be enough. It also became more direct to her , the very first time she and luis made love.

The night it happened was one of the most amazing , most beautiful , happiest nights of sheridan's life. Luis had taken her to a romantic mountain resort for Valentines. The suite was beautifully adorned with roses , flower arrangements , vanilla scented lit candles , inviting satin sheets on the bed , chocolates , champayne , and a delectable dinner, that surrendered the romantic appeal of the occasion. Luis also arranged to have a warm bubble tub bath awaiting them , thick deep red towels, to savor the valentine flare.

Sheridan felt happy , leaning against luis's warm body , her head resting against his upper chest, in the warm soothing appeal of the water , with the tingling of soap bubbles , slithering over them. They were both lost in a world of each other. Every now and again , they would share the most intimate , longing kisses , and they would talk about any and everything.

They would talk about ethan and theresa , about ivy, about pilar, about sam and grace , and their children, the loss of charity, and of grace's baby. They would vow to each other , that they will never allow the destructive wrath of the almighty crane family , interfere , with their love and committement , for each other , and being together.

After the romantic bubble bath , and delectable dinner , with the addition of a little romantic dancing , luis and sheridan were drawn to the inviting appeal of the smooth satin sheets ,holding each other , the kisses they shared , the light fiery touches against their skin, the caressing , and the most passionate lovemaking , any two people have ever shared. They were in another world., and seemed in another dimension.

By the following morning , luis and sheridan could'nt get enough of each other , and with just one gaze into each others eyes, the invitation to return to that other world was again accepted. For the three days they were there , nothing mattered, they were finally able to enjoy each other's company , enjoying being together ,without interruptions. Very few times did they ever leave their suite , but to those who did see them , they were noticeably , a couple in love.

Everything was going well for sheridan and luis. until , the day , her father and brother , became a major thorn ,and because of their inhumane act , sheridan and luis's love was tested to it's greatest. The tape of sheridan's confession to murdering luis's father , was played , and luis's reaction spoke to sheridan , with the most frightful the most painful , heartbreaking conversation she was ever faced with.

Sheridan once again felt unworthy of the love of this man , whom gave her a reason for living, became the soul strength of her being, whose love saved her from death , and whose devotion, saved her from a lifetime of unhappiness and loneliness. All the dreams they planned together for their future , now seemed shattered , but after awhile , luis's heart told him a different story. In his heart he disbelieved what he heard , and committed himself to proving sheridan's innocence.

He was determined. he decided he lost her once before to death , got another chance , and now he decided he is not going to lose her again. Finally , after persistant determination , , through the help of some unexpected friends , and continuous probing into sheridan's nightmares , and abbreviated hypnosis she had undergone , luis successfully proved that his beloved sheridan was indeed , innocent of the accusations made.

During the moments of seperation ,Sheridan and luis grew to appreciate and protect the value of their love and the important and speciality of them being together. The crackling in the fireplace, the dancing of the flames of candles , the warmth and energy both provided , caressed , the emotions in the room. Luis held a tearful sheridan in his arms. Sheridan cried ," You still want me!! you still love me!!" Luis smiled , with tears in his own dark pools of dark eyes , replied," Are you kidding. of course i still want you.

Why would'nt i. I promised you , and was committed to you , ever since we got together , and nothing , nothing in the world was going to make me give you up. No matter what kind of 'truth' came out , when i fell in love with you , i knew in my heart , no matter what your father and brother threw at us , i know i was not letting you go. "

Sheridan answered," But luis , what about the tape. Even though , you proved i was innocent , before you did , that tape indicated i killed your father , would you still have loved me , and wanted me , even if you were'nt able to prove my innocence. " Luis replied," Listen , when i heard the tape , i was shocked. I was in disbelief. Eve told us that nothing happened.

She told us you were innocent months ago , and even though , she covered up what she taped , i was still confused , until, alistair tried to make us believe it was true , and he was only protecting you. I'm sorry if at the time , i looked as if i was withdrawn from you , but i was shocked , it is not that i did'nt love you anymore. But sheridan deep down i knew you could'nt have done it , and i had to prove it. Hey , my love for you won't just disappear . I love you, and i always will, and i'm never going to let you go."

Sheridan , caressing the side of his cheek with her finger , whispered," Always, you promise. We'll always be together?" Luis answered ," well i know no matter how many times your father and brother try to break us up , i'm never going to let them. I'm going to hold on to you , with everything i have. As long as you'll promise , you hold on too. " Sheridan replied ," Ohh , luis , i'm going to hold on. Hmm , i did'nt just come back from death , with your love , just to let go. I came back to be with you , to love you , and to spend the rest of my life with you."

Luis hugged her close, tears running down his cheeks as well as hers, there eyes , searched each others , their hands , caressing each other's face , and sheridan confessed ," Luis , i was so scared , i thought i lost you, i , i can't imagine my life without." Luis then chuckled ," well , then i guess you'll just have to marry me, huh??" Sheridan cried ," What!!, what did you say??"

Luis slid his hand in his pocket , and pulled out a velvet covered , box , and bringing it , in the middle of both of them , confessed ," I .. ahh, I was planning to do this , the night of theresa and ethan's engagement party , but , with everything that happened , you know. I love you sheridan , only you. Between you and me , i think i fell in love with you , the moment you crashed into my car, but it was killing me to allow myself to love you knowing you were a crane , and me believing you maybe just like them.

Until i learnt differently when we were in Mexico together. Even though your last name , maybe crane , i love you , i love you , i love you , and nothing is going to stop that. You are the most wonderful , most beautiful woman in the world. Please sheridan , say yes , say you'll make me the happiest man in the world , i'm already the luckiest , and happiest , but let's do it.

I can't imagine being with any other woman , i will never be with any other woman , i'll never love another woman , i can't. I'll never , make love with any other woman. The only woman i want to spend the rest of my life with , to love , and to make love to, is you." Sheridan's tears , twinkling in her eyes , , as she gazed into his, the , ring , she delicately held in her fingers, , the faint smile , , coming to her face. As she slid the ring on her finger , a mixture of emotions , flooded her. She was happy. Her dreams were finally coming true.

She finally found her soul mate , and she believed the angels were now rejoicing for her. She cried , " Yes!! , i will , ohh luis , i will. how i love you so. Ohh God!! , All my dreams are finally coming true. Luis , you have made me so happy. I would love to be your wife." Luis pulled her in his embrace , and kissed her deeply. After a few moments , luis exclaimed ," Hey , let's go and tell mama , and theresa , and ethan , sam , and..." Sheridan interrupted ," Luis , would you mind terribly , if we not say anything tonight. I mean , with everything that has happened. after the engagement party . We could tell them in the morning."

Luis replied ," Hmmm , i love that idea. And anyway , i am sure i could find something to fill up my time , that is even more , wonderful." He drew himself closer to sheridan as they sat on the sofa. He slowly and masterfully , unbuttoned her halter dress, as he kissed her. During this time , her fingers fiddled with the buttons of his shirt , and releasing it off him.

Within moments , he was carrying her into the bedroom , on the soft bed , laying her down gently on it , and covering her body with his. Slowly the warmth of the sheets were covering them, and sheridan stole a whisper, " Father and julian are probably having a fit they lost the battle this round huh??" Luis remarked ," They better get accustomed to it. Wait till the grandkids start arriving."

Sheridan chuckled," Hmm , i can't wait." Then they resumed to the Passionate love making they were lost in. A world that belonged to them , to only them. To each other.

Chapter 2 :

The welcoming of a new day brought the joyful singing of the birds and a happy , glorious smile from the sun. Luis stirred under the scant sheets that barely covered him, nudging sheridan to awaken as well. As she lay , on her side, her back facing him, she raised her hand , to admire the beautiful engagement ring that adorned her finger. She smiled, her joy and happiness radiating the glow on her face.

She finally found someone who loved her, she will no longer be alone and unhappy. This man truly made her feel loved. Even now , tears ran down her cheeks . She could'nt believe how happy she was. Luis came closer to her, wrapping his arms around her, kissing her on her cheek, which brought a smile to her face. Luis whispered," I love you sheridan . I could hold you like this forever. " Sheridan lay her arm on luis's that was resting on her waist, and replied," I love you too."

Sheridan turned in the embrace of his arms , then said ," Luis , i'm worried," Luis replied,' Sheridan , stop worrying , you and i will...." Sheridan interrupted,"luis , honey, i'm not worried about us. i know we'll always be together, no matter what. It's ethan, ivy , and Pilar. I mean with everything that has happened , what is going to happen to them. " Luis answered,' I know what you mean, i've been thinking of Sam and Grace as well."

Sheridan nodded," Yes , everyone's life, have changed ." sheridan paused then smiling at luis , and hugging him tighter , said " Let's go to the bookcafe . We could have breakfast there. " Luis answered "Hmm, do we have to." Luis paused , tracing sheridan's face with his finger. , then on the uncovered , bare portion of her uppper chest, and continued ," I thought , we could , you know , stay here , make up for all those many times we tried to make love but were interrupted, i mean , we are amazing together." With a smirk on his face.

Sheridan chuckled ," In more ways than one. You know i would love to but we should really see how everyone is doing... ;but, i promise , later , okay??" Luis , his lips just inches away from hers , groaned ," hmm..mmm, just wear something that won't tempt me. " Sheridan smiled , and pulled him into a kiss before getting up from the bed."

Within an hour , luis and sheridan strolled into the Bookcafe hand in hand, when they saw familiar faces scattered around the room. All with gloomy expressions. Chad behind the counter , with theresa and whitney talking to him, Pilar , ivy and eve , sitting on one of the sofas, in the back of the room ,and TC and Sam , sitting at one of the tables in the center of the room. Luis and sheridan strolled over to chad , whitney and theresa , at the counter , and sheridan said ," Hey guys , "

Theresa , whitney , chad , turned to face them and theresa replied ," Hey , sheridan , luis , ... wait a minute , you're here together , you resolved everything .. please tell me you did." Luis and sheridan stole a glance at each other , smiled , and sheridan then smiled at theresa , and showed them the beautiful ring on her finger. Theresa began to scream, and pulled sheridan and luis in a hug. Whitney slapped her hand on her chest in surprise , and acclaimed," Ohh , my gosh , con... congratulations, luis , sheridan. "

Sheridan and luis thanked her , so as chad congratulating them . On hearing theresa's screams , ivy , pilar , eve , sam and tc , turned and pilar inquired ," theresa , what is it.." Theresa exclaimed , drawing sheridan and luis closer to them ," mama .. mama... sheridan and luis .. they are.. they're getting married , isn't that wonderful." Pilar smiled , but it was ivy who congratulated them. She stood , and came closer to them , and said ," Sheridan , luis , i'm so very happy for you. I'm so proud and pleased that you two are'nt making the same mistake sam and i did.

Sheridan , i want to tell you , i know you are still upset with me , for not telling ethan , for what i did , but if you would remember , i told you a little of my problem last year. I told you . that i made a mistake when i was young. And that if i did go after my dream then , i would have hurt many people , and i guess even though i fought to keep my past a secret, it was revealed. Please know , i never meant for this to happen. I .. i , guess , i also did it cause i thought ethan would be the best person to head the Crane empire someday.

I knew all along who his father was , and that made me even more determined. I mean fo you , born a girl in your family , your father would'nt give you any leadership opportunities with the business and his precious empire , only to the first born son of a crane , and since ethan was ,y son , i thought that maybe one day when he is incharge onf the family , he'll change it. And with me there , i was going to make sure he did , change it for the better, my intention was not to hurt him."

Sheridan replied ," Ivy , i'm sorry , i did'nt mean to snap at you that night , i was just upset , i understand what you're saying. I guess at the time i could'nt face it that i saw myself in your shoes, and i got scared." Ivy answered," I understand , but the thing is sheridan , don't allow yourself to get sucked into the family's lies , don't let them hurt you. And now you and luis are going to be married , you can only protect each other."

Sheridan smiled and hugged ivy and said ," Thankyou!! it means alot. Where's ethan??" Theresa replied ," I'm not sure , but he told me , that he'd call this morning , so i'm waiting." Sheridan nodded , then sam and Tc , congratulated sheridan and luis , pilar came over to hug them , so as eve . But sheridan , luis , theresa , and ivy could see the worried look on everyone's faces. . but sheridan broke the ice by ," Theresa , i want you and whitney to help me plan my wedding , please." Theresa and whitney exclaimed ," Sure .. "

Sheridan replied," good!! thanks " Luis then said ," Well guys , umm , sheridan and i we're going over to the youth center for a few minutes , okay, then we're off to lunch." Sheridan and luis kissed Pilar , hugged theresa , then hand in hand strolled out of the bookcafe , going in the direction of the youth center.

Chapter 3:

Luis and Sheridan , strolled into the Youth Center, arms about each other , when sheridan said ," Ohh, i miss this place. It holds so many memories for me , of us , you and me. Happy ,.. and.. not so happy memories. " Luis took her hands in his , and said ," Sheridan , remember the good ones okay. don't , try not to think about the bad times , think about the good times. We had so many more good and happy times than bad ones.

The way i feel , the way i love you .. i , i don't remember much of those bad times. i more remember the good ones." Sheridan replied ," I know.., me too.. we shared so many good and happy , as well as exciting times together , some of it , right here." Luis chuckled ," Hey , you remember that day you , umm . ,, walked in on me , when i just came out of the shower." Sheridan chuckled , as luis wrapped his arms about her , waist pulling her to him so her back leaned against his chest," Don't remind me.

I've never felt so embarrased in my life. I mean all i was doing was looking for some sugar for my coffee. I thought that door was a closet door , or one leading to a kitchen or something , i never expected a locker room. " Luis teased ," i know .. that is what you said .. but perhaps......" Sheridan interrupted before he could continue and nudged him," Hey ... come on...anyway.. hmm. we had even more enjoyable and memorable times than that. What about our New Years eve dance .. or the tango we did for kay , before valentines day."

Luis replied ," ooohh yeah!! We were amazing both times. You know , i can't wait to create more memories with you. Now that we're getting married , the youth center is yours too. " Sheridan sighed ," Really?? Then could we have the wedding reception here. I mean, i think it has enough room for our friends and family. I mean , there is your family .. and well , mine , hmm , will only be . ivy .. and ethan , "

Luis inquired ," That's all. No cousins , i mean i know your father .. would'nt , and maybe julian , but what about cousins." Sheridan smiled and replied ," I . i have some cousins. Many people don't know them. They are really second cousins. I have'nt seen them in years. Father used to let me visit before i was sent to europe.

They are from the west. California actually. few people know we're related. They are actually my mom's family. My mom's cousin . His family , was more or less like mine , but .. different. I mean though they had the wealth , and businesses . and everything .. they were different. " Luis inquired ," Well , who were they ."

Sheridan replied ," Well first off , he , my mom's cousin , did'nt accept my mom marrying my dad. They were cousins , but he was so protective of my mom. If you've ever heard of C. C. Capwell, the owner of Capwell enterprises. He's my mom's cousin. From as far as i remembered , the Capwell's and the Crane's never really got along.

Anyway , my cousins , i have'nt seen them in years. They would come and visit me sometimes when i was in Europe. You want to hear a joke. Well , i heard that both of my cousins , both Eden and Kelly , they both fell in love and married cops. Eden , well she was having some problems , and did'nt want to poison the family with it ,.. so sadly ,.. according to my uncle's wife , sophia, Eden left , no one knows where she is.

She left her husband Cruz , and her two children, to protect them. My other cousin kelly , well she married a cop , his name is Connor , and they are very happy." Sheridan paused , then turned to luis , and continued ," So luis , you see , we are'nt the only ones. My cousins , both wealthy women fell in love and married cops .. and things worked out great. I mean , at first uncle C.C was not happy with eden falling in love with someone out of her class, but in the end , he accepted and grew to be happy for them.

He loves his grandchildren dearly.. Eden's daughter .. she's about six years old now , but she's so beautiful. She has the most beautiful long , curly , blonde brown hair , and the most adorable face. " Luis smiled and hugged her once again , against him , her back against his chest , his arms around her, and said ," Well , maybe one day .soon. we'll have a little blonde curly hair daughter too. " Sheridan replied ," I .. i want to give you a son first. After what happened with ethan , and i saw how devastated Julian was to learn that the first born son he had loved , was not his .. i realised that . having a first born , that is a son .

is important. I guess it has something to do with men's machismo , right ? i've seen alot of it. Not only with julian , but my father , sam , ;having a first born son , is important." Luis replied ," Sheridan , honey , it does'nt matter to me. I love you , and i'll love each and every one of our children the same way. And besides , the only person that can decide whether our first born is a boy or a girl, is the man above. Anyway , i think you should invite your cousins. They don't sound vindictive , and ruthless like alistair and julian."

Sheridan replied ," No , they are'nt. You're right , i'll get in touch with them. So , do you think we should marry before ethan and theresa , or after. You told me your aunt maria , and your sister Paloma will be coming in for ethan and theresa's wedding , it will be great if they are here for ours as well. I can't wait to meet them Do you think they'll like me , seeming i'm a crane." Luis answered ," They are gonna love you, because i love you , and they know how happy you make me. So , when will you like to set the date for ."

Sheridan replied ," How about a month from today. or is that too soon??" Luis sighed , sarcastically ," soon?? you mean not soon enough. Just kidding. That is wonderful time, and i know you are going to make a beautiful bride." Luis turned her in his embrace , and confessed ," I love you soo much. Thankyou for making me the happiest man on earth."

Sheridan smiled , gazing into the dark pools of his , and replied," I love you too , thankyou for loving me!!" With that , luis brought his lips down to meet hers , in a kiss , so passionate , so yielding , so intense , that luis groaned ," Come on , let's get out of hear , i. i need you." Luis kissed her once again , sheridan with a smile on her face , as they happily waltzed out of the youth center hall , and out of the building and into their car. They just added a new wonderful memory of a moment to their adored collection.

Chapter 4:

Two weeks had gone by. Back at the mansion, Ivy was clearing away the last of her belongings. Because of her deceit concerning ethan's paternity , Julian had insisted her moving out the Mansion , and off crane property. Despite everything , pilar , invited her to stay with her and her family , until she was able to find suitable lodging.

Ivy strolled passed the library , and overheard julian , talking with Alistair, who was on the speakerphone. Ivy stopped in her tracks , hiding behind the slightly ajar door , when she heard ," Julian , i can't believe that blasted tape did'nt work. we were so close to destroying sheridan and luis for good. But nooo, cursed to love. I told you love was dangerous. The tape was so definate , but luis , it did'nt take long for him , to believe in his heart that she was innocent. Damn Love.!! Now he knows his father is definately alive. And i'm sure he and sheridan both suspect we know where he is. "

Julian then said ," Father , i told you sometime ago , why don't we just leave sheridan and luis to each other. The more we interfere , the more they suspect we are involved , the more they are determined to prove it. If we leave them , they'll be so wrapped up in each other , to think of investigating where martin is."

Alistair answered," Never mind that. Just as long as luis knows now that we never 'killed' his father , but be damned if i'm going to let your sister , taint the Crane blood!! There is no way , i can allow her to marry , Luis, and have a set of half breed brats. Ivy already shamed this family by what she did , in hell will i ever let your sister do the same thing."

Julian replies," but father , if the luis mask , did not break them up , and the tape ,did'nt destroy their love , how are you so sure that they'll ever break up. you were so insisting that once they became lovers , it will be almost impossible to destroy them. And father , right now they are lovers. They have been for over a month now i think , if not longer. ' Alistair exclaims ," I don't care , julian , whatever we have to do , we have to make sure , that , that wedding , never takes place."

Back outside the library , Ivy , tip toes into the family room , and says ," How dare they. They'll never give up. I can't allow them to get away with this , this time. I think it is about time , julian and alistair , has one of their plans backfire , and stay that way. I have to talk to luis and sheridan , but first , i must see pilar." Ivy picks up her coat , and hurries out the mansion , and as she walked towards her car , she glanced across the grounds , and realised luis's car was gone.

Ivy , stepping into her car , commented ," hmm , they probably went to see pilar. well , sheridan , luis , time to change your wedding plans, and we'll have to get to work." Ivy , pulled into Pilar's garage , and saw luis's car . She stepped out , and strolled , across the lawn path , and up to the frontt door , knocking on it.

Within minutes , Pilar opened the door , and said ," Hey , Ivy , you are here , good!!." she held the door open for her to enter , and ivy said ," Pilar , i have to talk to you. Is luis and sheridan here ?" Pilar answered ," Yes , why , is something wrong." Ivy replied ,' Well , first i have to talk to you , then , i'll need to talk to them. " Pilar says ," They're in the kitchen. Sheridan and theresa , are trying to decide on a wedding gown, and a wedding cake. "

Ivy said ," Well , i hope they did'nt order anything yet. Julian and Alistair , right now , are scheming to ensure that the wedding , and marriage never takes place. There is no telling what they'll do. " Pilar inquires," Ohh my God , how do you know this." Ivy answers,' I overheard them. they did'nt see me." Pilar says ," Well , we've got to do something. Sheridan and luis have been through enough problems from her father and julian. "

Ivy then suggests ," Well , .." both sitting on the sofa , then ivy continues ," I have an idea. We are going to move the wedding upwards. I know we won't be able to have the same big wedding planned , but we can still make it special for them. " Pilar , then says ," I think we should talk to sheridan and luis about this. Let me call them in."

Ten minutes had gone by , and ivy had related on part of the stunning news. She also explained her sggestions, when sheridan said ,"You know , i can't believe my father and brother wants me to ensue a war against them. I can't believe i can't even get married , when i want , how i want without worrying what they'll do next to stop it. "

Ivy then said ," Listen , i think this is the best way to go. Julian and Alistair will never expect this to happen. I think we should give them a dose of their own medicine." Luis then says ," Well , though on normal times , i would'nt agree to something like this , since i am a by the book person, if it is the only way to do it peacefully without having sheridan worried , and what her father and brother can do , i'll go along with it."

Sheridan turns to luis ," Luis , are you sure you want to do this. " Luis smiled ," Hey , just as long as you are the bride , and i'm the groom , just as long as we are spending the rest of our lives together , then , the rest is just minor detail. I'll do anything for you." luis pulled her in a kiss , when theresa said ," Well , i guess i better start working on the wedding dress.

Now , mrs. Crane , do you really think if we have the dress , custom made , Mr. Crane will know what is going on." Ivy says ," Definately. The wedding was scheduled for two weeks time. If you have the dress custom made, the seamstress , delivers the dress , two days before the wedding, to do last fitting and adjustments. And seeming half of harmony , are alistairs , spies , you can't trust anyone.

Now , the guests. i think we should get in touch with them , through phoning and word of mouth, but don't tell them that they are coming to a wedding , tell them you are having an engagement party. Leave everything else to me. you guys handle informing the guests , We have one week , to get everything done. So , next Saturday , we'll have a wedding.

Sheridan , i suggest you and theresa get to work on the gown. Luis , maybe you can make some of the calls , and pilar and i , will handle the rest. " Within minutes , Pilar and Ivy were left alone , in the family room. Ivy could'nt believe how easy it was to convince sheridan and luis. She knew , that after so long of being together , they wanted to celebrate with a wedding in Grand style , but right now, plans had to be changed.

Ivy says ," pilar , we have to see about the caterers. " Pilar comments ," well sheridan and Luis had'nt decided on a menu yet." Ivy answers ," good!!. Now all we have to do , is get in touch with some caterers , let them know that next saturday , they'll be catering for an engagement party. The only thing is , we'll have to get the teens to help serve , since we really don't want this to leak out , till time. "

Pilar then said ," No problem , we can have everything buffet, everyone serves themselves, but since it is a wedding , we very well can't have an engagement cake. This is sheridan and luis special day. " Ivy suggests ," Well , why not you make the cake pilar. I know you can ice cakes beautifully."

Pilar then said ," But , ivy , with everything we have to do , i don't know if i'll have the time. Making roses , and all the detail and intricate work takes time. " Ivy smiled , and replied ," Well , don't make roses. Listen , i have an idea,." Ivy continued to tell pilar about her plan , that would ensure , Alistairs failure in causing problems for sheridan and luis's most deserved wedding.

Chapter 5:

Days of preparation had gone by. The guests were notified, and Luis's aunt Maria and sister Paloma, were arriving within two days time, so as was sheridan's cousins, Kelly , and her husband Connor, Mason , and his wife Julia, and Ted , and his wife Lilie, as well as her uncle C.C and his wife Sophia. Sheridan stood , in Pilar's bedroom , gazing at the simple , yet beautiful cloud of white infront of her, fitted on the mannequin. She smiled and said ," Theresa , it is beautiful , it is perfect , thankyou."

Theresa smiled back at her and replied ," Your welcome , i was happy to do it, but it was mama really , she sewed the final touches on it , and she did the veil." At that moment Pilar entered the room with Ivy , and eve , who sheridan confided in about their plans , and Pilar announced ," Cakes are in the oven ." Sheridan replied ,"Ohhh , thankyou, so much. I just hate putting you guys through all this work. "

Pilar said ," Nonsense. I always told you , i thought of you like one of my daughters , and like a mother , i would do this for my daughters. " She pulled sheridan in a warm hug, then eve asked ," So sheridan , where are you and Luis going for your honeymoon?" Sheridan grinned and replied ," I , i don't know , Luis said it's a surprise, i just wish he would tell me , so i'll know what to pack,." Theresa chuckled ," Well , maybe you won't need clothing where you two are going? .. he he he, I am kidding , well , sheridan , think of some of the places you have been together , that you'll want to visit again , or think of some places you both have talked about and never been but want to go. You know how big luis is on sentiments. "

Sheridan replied ," I know , but that leaves , a big or small list , depending on how you lok at it. Well , i guess i'll just pack the basics. But i can't wait!! " She turned to face all of them , then confided ," You know , i've never met anyone like luis. I guess at first , when we first met , both of us were dealing with some situations , that we were to caught up , to give each other a chance, but you know , when we went to New Mexico together , that is when i realised how special luis was.

" she paused , and glided , across the room , picking up a framed picture of luis that was resting on Pilar's bedside table. She gazed into the familiar eyes of one she loved so dearly , and continued," I'm so glad we put the past behind us. I don't think if we did'nt , i would have loved anyone else. When things went bad for us , awhile back , i decided to leave harmony , for Paris , to try to get over him like i've done with every other man , who 'hurt' me , now i know , why when i did go , i could'nt get over luis.

Every step i made , every where i turned , somehow , he was there , maybe not physically , but i could'nt get him out of my mind. I realised i was more in love with him , than i was , willing to admit. The funny thing is , i went to a church in Paris , to pray , and ask our blessed mother , to intercede, to the father , for guidance for me , to finally meet the right man.

To help me get past , luis , and find that man , who'll , you know , love me with a Passion. When i left the church , i thought two things .. either . 1. Though my faith was strong , either , i was always going to remain alone , no one to really and truly love me , as much as i loved him , and no one to raise a family with .. orr..2. I was going to die , and never be happy , never have a chance to be happy. .. then guess who was to show up in Paris , to come to my rescue again?? The same things i prayed for .. he fullfilled.

You know , if it were'nt for my father and brother's interference , that heartless thing they did to luis and me , to keep us apart , that caused me to hurt luis ,.. and all that time he did'nt deserve one bit of what i did or they did to him, if father and julian , were'nt so, vindictive and heartless , luis and i would have probably been married by now. Damn them. i can't believe they would even consider trying to interfere with my wedding."

Ivy then said ," Sheridan , as we said , as luis said .. let's . let's leave the past , in the past , okay./ Let's look forward to the future , with you and luis being together. When Alistair and Julian do learn that you and luis are married , they'll get what's coming to them. Let's hope they won't learn until after you are married , but from what i understand , they don't suspect a thing." Sheridan answered ," ThankGod... Well just 3 more days. " Theresa inquired ," Are you nervous?" Pilar , said ," Of course she's nervous , what bride won't be.It's normal to have wedding jitters."

Theresa then commented ,"Well certainly not for the wedding night , i mean it is no secret that you and luis .. you know .. have'nt." Both, whitney and Pilar , shocked exclaimed ," Theresa , what a question to ask sheridan, that is her and luis's business , what they do." Sheridan said ," Noo , Pilar , it's , it's alright , i mean it is an awkward question , but i want to be open. You are right theresa , luis , and i did'nt wait till , ... and maybe we should have , but .. i've always felt this special connection with luis .

both physically , and spiritually , emotionally , everything. We've wanted to be together for a long while , but because of , what i heard 'luis' who i thought was luis .. say . i was holding us back. Even when i confronted luis and he denied it , because all the while he was innocent, i could'nt put what i saw and heard out of my head, and i .. i broke us up , i told luis i could'nt be with him. I mean my heart was telling me to trust him but my head was saying something else .. before luis came i used to trust my heart , but it failed me in the end and i got hurt even more .. i was afraid if i did listen to it again , i would get hurt all over again."

Theresa then inquired ," Yes , i remember that. But .. what happened, to change your mind." Sheridan confided ," The night of ethan and gwen's engagement party , on our way , we met this little boy who's mother was having a baby. Luis and i went to see if we could have helped. The woman's husband was at his mother's , who was dying. I felt closer to luis , taking care of the woman's four children , all under the age of nine.

Then when luis and i helped her deliver her baby , i guess this just struck us even more what we wanted for ourselves. Despite the woman not having much, she knew what was important , love , family . ... later that night , i heard luis tell hank , he cared deeply for me , but because of what i heard him say , it was keeping us apart, and luis overheard me talking with ethan , telling him about my feelings for luis. Luis begged me , to give us another chance. If it were'nt for that one night , we would be together.

He was right , because after our first date together , i could'nt see myself with any one but luis. I was happy , safe , i felt finally for once in my life , i could have trusted someone, i knew he loved me , for who i was , not for what i had. Luis begged me to put that day behind us , to act like it never happened. After awhile , i decided to , cause i could'nt se myself wanting , being with any other man. Luis made me happy, i loved myself more when i'm with him. Our connection became stronger , our bond deepened , our trust , everything was stronger , and we committed to each other.

We knew we wanted a future together , and we worked towards that. That night , we almost .. you know , but then we were informed about the happenings at the mine shaft , and our night was cut short , then the following day , we tried again , but then Agent Freeman came to take luis to washington, but not one time did'nt i feel happy , feel safe , cause i did.

Then when , you know, i died , i thought , that was it , I mean i knew about the plan , but i also knew the risk , but i loved luis so much , that i would have risked my life to get the drug cartel off our back so luis and i could have a normal life together, without having to watch our backs all the time. Then was my christmas miracle , and luis's love brought me back , i got a second chance , i knew that there was only one man i would ever , and would ever want to belong to , and it was luis.

When we finally did come together , i knew i was where i was meant to be , with luis. I finally found my soul mate, and i'm very happy." Theresa commented ," I could see that , especially at ethan and mine engagement party , i could see how happy you and luis were. I'm sure the guests thought that they were celebrating the wrong couple. You two looked more like the engaged couple , than ethan and i was. "

Sheridan smiled ,then pilar added ," Well sheridan , i'm happy that you are happy. That's all i've ever wanted for you. ... Anyway , why not we go to the kitchen and have lunch. I made luis's favorite, Arroz Con Pollo." Everyone agreed , and as they all strolled out of the bedroom , sheridan paused in her tracks , turned , took one more quick glance at her wedding gown, smiled , and turned around once again and left the room.

Chapter 6:

It was a cool , Friday night , the day before the wedding , and sheridan and Luis were the center of attention, surrounded by the warmth of their families. Luis's aunt and sister , as well as sheridan's family , arrived just hours before, and both families were immensely pleased for the happy couple. At first glance , sheridan felt a slight discomfort around luis's aunt maria, but later , learnt that looks can be decieving.

Her resemblance with Pilar , except for the quiet , nature , that Maria was not blessed with. She was more forward in expressing her feelings , than Pilar is , but still a little reserved in herself. She was very pleased for Luis , and she quickly became satisfied with his choice of a wife , which pleased sheridan. Luis's sister Paloma , was not much different herself to theresa.

The beautiful hispanic family goodlooks ran through her blood as well, with a tanned smooth skin , not damaged by the warmth of the Mexican sun , living there for years , her well chisled cheekbones , obviously a trait Pilar passed on to her , the exquisite pools of dark eyes , and thick dark lashes , much like the beautiful ones of Luis's , sheridan constantly gets lost in, and Paloma's hair , well styled for her features , thick , dark , with hints of red and brown.

Her youthful beauty was an obvious inherited trait , that Pilar , so elegantly was happy to share with her offspring, and Paloma's personality , was very much her mother's. When it came to sheridan's family , Luis was surprised to see how different they were to the Cranes. Their warmth and love for people was much like sheridan's own uniqueness, and C.C. dislike for Alistair was very much displayed, which made luis more comfortable around them.

Luis developed a close relationship , with Connor , kelly's husband who is also a cop , as well with Ted , and Mason. , in such a short space of time. At this moment , sheridan and luis cuddled together on the sofa , with theresa sitting a little away beside them. Luis and sheridan became lost in each other , forgetting they had company , feeding each other grapes, and lost in the whisper of the music playing in the background.

Theresa, Ivy , sophia , kelly , julia , lilie , Paloma, and aunt maria , gathered opposite sheridan and luis , some sitting on chairs , some on the softness of the carpet , watching the couple absorbed in their own world. Theresa confides ," Don't worry , these two are always like this. we have gotten accustommed to them now. You should have seen them at my engagement party , i could swear that at the time , they were the ones engaged.

there was no question the entire night , that there was only one thing on their mind." Miguel confessed sarcastically," yeah , the bathtub." Theresa chuckled ," The bathtub and everything else." Kelly inquired ," What does the bathtub have to do with your party." Theresa replied ," W..e..ll..ll, when they were supposed to be enjoying spending time with ethan and me at our engagement party , they were more enjoying the plans they made for that night.

I began to think that if it were'nt for the party , and us wanting them there , they would have busied themselves with each other instead. If you had seen them , you would think they were a newly wed couple who were still on their honeymoon and really could'nt think of anything else but each other. " Miguel added ," Yes!! , and sheridan and luis were talking about how they could'nt wait to get back to the cottage , to be alone , and filling up the bathtub for their candlit bubblebath."

Ivy then sarcastically confessed ," Ohh , yes!! and i heard something about bathoils , being used ." Just then sheridan and luis returned to the attention of their families , with sheridan saying ," Thankyou guys for sharing that. Who knows , the next time , luis and i could video tape it so you won't need the commentary." a smile on her face , then luis added ," We were having such a romantic , wonderful , amazing time with each other , when you hollered , and interrupted us, but we forgave you about that." Theresa replied ," That is so nice of you. thanks!!."

Then Maria interrupted them saying ," Luis , your mother was telling me , that you and sheridan are also a wonderful couple on the dance floor. She said you two dance an amazing Tango." Miguel commented ," Aunt maria , you mean a HOTT Tango. You should see them. The first time , was at Mama's birthday party a couple years ago. Sheridan had just come back to harmony , and at the time , she and luis were'nt let's say , seeing eye to eye." Theresa added ," Were'nt seeing eye to eye. That is being generous. More the word , they hated each other."

Sophia and Maria exclaimed ," What!!??" Sheridan and luis glanced at each other and Pilar stepped in ,' They did'nt hate each other , they just .. did'nt like each other ." Theresa reinforced," They hated each other. Mama , they constantly fought." Aunt Maria then said ," Ohh , well , it is not that they hated each other , it's , just that they,.. loved each other , but were to chicken to admit it , so they felt safer arguing , just to cover up their true feelings.

Now , that is how true lovers are. And the Hotter the arguing , the more Passionate , and more heated their passion for each other is. I'm just so glad you finally got past everything and are together. it would be very disappointing if you two threw away everything , from what i see , you have a very amazing love for each other. You'll be very happy together." Pilar smiled and said ," well , luis , sheridan , when your aunt maria says that , you know it's true. "

Maria added ," Yes!! i can see it. it's in your eyes , very Passionate , very loving emotions. You chose well Luis. " Paloma commented ," Well ,.. i agree , but not to sound rude or anything .. Sheridan i do like you , i think you are perfect for my brother , but Luis , what happened to Beth, i know you and her had something going in school." Maria , exclaimed ," That girl is no where suitable for your brother, She's faint pretty , but no where as beautiful as sheridan.

What your brother and Beth had , was not love , it was nothing . And she's too skinny , too childish i think. The true love and passion of a man , you could tell by his eyes. The heat and fire burning from love and passion is there , in any man who has found true love , yet also a hint of gentle significance that solidifies and strengthens a relationship. Both Luis and Sheridan have that for each other. Yes!! , they will be very happy , just as long ad they believe in the power of the love they have for each other.

And they'll have beautiful children together, the combination is a perfect blend, gentle , fresh and exquisite." Sheridan's eyes glistened , hearing the words from a woman , of experience and knowledge, with an amazing level of ability in the use of the english , which sheridan at first thought would be a second language to her , but she used it well , as if it was her first language , and sheridan came to learn that Maria , did not ignorant herself , into too many old ways.

She educated herself to learn english , to become equipped to relate with the new mother world , that still embraced the lifestyle of the world that gave her life. Maria then requested ," Sheridan , luis , mi quiero , tango for me. Dance for us. please." Sheridan jumped up , strolled over to maria , lay a kiss on her cheek , and said ," Anything for you ." Luis jumped up , to join sheridan , while , miguel set out to set up the music, with everyone following their attention to the couple in the center of the room. Luis and sheridan hinted a smile to each other , playful , and yet loving , as the ,usic began to play , and luis led sheridan in the dance.

They became absorbed. No one was watching they thought. They were just the two lone souls in this world. eyes for each other , for every turn , twist , every step , and movement , every interlock of their legs ; the fiery featherlike touch of their finger tips , the gentle yet sturdy grip of their hands , the soft caressing of their bodies . The dance became a seductive yet cleansed display of a couple's passion , the toddler of their lovemaking , to the eyes of their audience.

When the dance was over and sheridan and luis came to a pause of silence , seducing themselves , back to the present with the help from a thunder of applause , showering over them , they took hold of each others hands , and their eyes , broken from the gaze of each other , danced around the room at the smiles. Kelly acknowledged , " That was wonderful. You guys were amazing." A repeat of the comment came from C.C , Sophia , Ivy , Ted , Lilie , Mason , Julia , and paloma , while smiles just came to theresa , miguel and pilar who had grown accustommed to one of sheridan and luis's greatest assests.

Maria then exclaimed ," Yes!! that was .. beautiful. You brought out the true essence of the dance. It was very good..... Anyway , i think it is time , i go to bed. The Big day is tomorrow , and i want to get my beauty rest for it. Sheridan , mi , nina, it is a blessing to finally meet the woman who has made my nephew so happy. I hope we'll get to spend more time together , maybe after you return from your honeymoon . Paloma and i will be staying in harmony for awhile. "

Sheridan smiled and hugged her and said ," I'd love that. thankyou." then watched her as she bid goodnight to the everyone else gathered , and then was lead by Pilar to get her settled in, shortly followed by Paloma , then sheridan's family , who were going back to the hotel. Within half an hour, sheridan and luis were sitting in the quiet , darkness of the room. cuddled together. Pilar and Aunt Maria , were sharing a bedroom , Miguel was sleeping over at the Bennets , which was a usual habit, which allowed Paloma , to have that room , while sheridan bunked with theresa for the night , while , luis slept in his own bed.

Before bidding each other goodnight , luis held sheridan in his arms infront of theresa's door and kissed her passionately. Then after a few moments , she slid behind the crack she made in the door , smiling to this man she loved , her eyes twinkling in the sliver of darkness of the night , as she disappeared in the ocean of it's embrace, for them not to see each other till morning.

Chapter 7:

The mid morning saturday sun shone brightly. And the most special ,day in Sheridan and Luis's life , was under way. Earlier that morning Pilar had the wedding Cake decorated, and delivered to the Youth Center individually in cake boxes. On arrival at the youth center ,

She arranged the cakes in tiers , using stemmed glasses , then , because lack of time , disabled her from making the iced flowers , pilar decorated the cakes with sprigs of fresh roses, and fine fern , that adorned the iced embroidered carpet, then finishing the bottom curved edges , with loosely set rose petals, giving the three tiered wedding cake , a soft , yet sensual , romantic appeal. She set the wedding cake on a circular mirrored table , drapped with tulle , to accentuate the softeness and a few of the rose petals , feathered there , to finish the setting. The view was breathtaking.

The rest of the room ,one long table , set against the wall , with chairs comfortably behind it , for the bridal party , so that the view of their guests is easily accessible , and round tables set opposite them , on the other side of the room , leaving an open space for dancing, and on the far left side of the room , tables for the food. Flower arrangements , streamers , yards of tulle , and strings of fine lights , added in elegance and delicacy , the aesthetic charm and appeal for the occasion .

Sheridan , in luis's office , where she used as a dressing room ,stood in her wedding gown, that truly accentuated her figure. Its off the shoulder long sleeved embroidered knit bodice , flattering her bare , smooth and fair shoulders and neckline, then set off by the sleek, loosely smooth fit , of the skirt , that caressed the floor , to a defined acute , trane ,teased with the veil , that flowed its length , with it being secured by an ivory pearled slide comb , that nestled in the mid center crown of her hair , styled brilliantly to accentuate the fit of the comb and veil. Her makeup exquisetly done .

Infront of her ,with her back facing them , stood pilar , theresa , ivy , and aunt maria . Her head raised and her eyes , as if looking up to heaven , pools of blue glistening . She turned and smiled , and Pilar cried ," You , you look so , beautiful, your mother would have been very proud , and happy for you." Sheridan smiled and replied ," Thankyou. ...I wish my mother was here." Pilar answered," She is. she's always where you are. "

Ivy and theresa came forward , and said ," Sheridan , you have been so special to us , even though in the past , at times , you may not have thought so. You know , with us not telling you nor ethan , the truth , but we did love you , ... anyway , ethan , theresa and myself , wanted to give you something for this day." Ivy handed her a silver grey , velvet jewelry box , and opened it to expose a pair of beautiful delicate diamond earrings with a matching diamond necklace. Sheridan's eyes opened at its beauty and cried ," ohh my gosh , it's beautiful, thankyou .. i'll wear them now, help me." Sheridan fingered the delicate earrings and put them on , while ivy placed the necklace on her.

Sheridan then said ," Something new , thankyou ." she hugged both ivy and theresa , then pilar said ," well , you already have something old. The comb that is with your veil , it was your mothers. Before your mother died , she gave it to me to keep for you , until the time was right , that you should have it. I think the time is now. " Sheridan's eyes , filled with tears , lightly touched the comb in her hair , and cried ,"

This , this is my mother's? I'll , treasure it , always . Thankyou." She hugged Pilar , then ,Aunt Maria , came forward , and said ," Sheridan , i know we've known each other just two days , but i feel as if you've been part of our lives forever. When Pilar told me , you were a Crane , i was worried for luis , because i know his past behavior with your family , but now i know why he loves you so. You have a beautiful soul and heart, and your love is pure. I'm happy he is marrying you, and he's happy.

I wish you all the best in your life together. I ,.. i brought this for you. I know , right now , it may be too early , but , i thought you may want it. " She handed sheridan a neat , white box , . When opened , it revealed a pair of contents, at , the top was a delicately folded baby blue lace handkerchief, with the insignia of her and luis's initials , finely embroidered at one corner , embraced by a heart. Then lifting it out gently , sheridan sighed at what was underneath. There lay nestled was a pair of baby blue knitted baby booties.

Aunt Maria confessed ," It is something for you to look forward to. In mexico , it is customary for a close family member to give the bride , a pair of baby booties as part of a personal present , to bless her , and remind her of the blessings and joys , that God will shower upon her , as a chosen soul to share her goodness. " Tears ran down sheridan's cheeks as she pulled her in an embrace ,and whispered ," Thankyou.. i love it.

i'll use the handkerchief now , and this , i'll save it for later. " A smile on her face , then aunt maria added ," If your first born is a girl , just give me a call, i'll make one specially for her." Sheridan chuckled ," You got it , thanks. Well when time comes , you'll know. " Just then , there was a knock on the door , and sheridan called ," Come in." The door opened , to welcome C.C , and kelly.

Both commented on how beautiful sheridan looked , then kelly said ," Sheridan , did you get anything borrowed yet , cause i brought something for you." She too handed sheridan an open jewelry box , to reveal a beautiful fine cut diamond bracelet, and kelly confessed ," I wore that for my wedding. and i'm lending it to you ." Sheridan smiled , and thanked her, then C.C , said ," Well , Sheridan , i have something for you to. but it's not here.

Actually , it was your mothers' , and your father does'nt know about it , which is a good thing. When your mother , realised she was dying , she called me, and asked me , to do something for her. Your grandmother , left some money to your mother , but your mother never used it. She gave me , authority over it. Your father never knew , but as i said , when your mother realised she was dying , she wanted to leave something for you , something valuable , and something she thought you may love.

It's not money , it's not jewelry , " he handed her an envelope, with a neat clipbox. , then he continued ," There is a mountain cabin east of the Harmony hills , your mother bought the land , and had the cabin built , before most of harmony became crane property. That piece of land is not , it is Capwell land , but it is your property.

A couple times a year , i had a caretaker , upkeeping it. It is now yours. Yours and Luis's. No one can take it away from you , because it is still capwell land. I hope you two will love it , and use it well. It meant alot to your mother , for you to it. In the envelope is a copy of the deed , and in the clipbox is the key."

Sheridan cried ," You mean , this is mine , the property , everything is mine?? " C.C answered ," Yes ., it is , your mother wanted you to have something that is yours. Not one part , is Crane touched. It is yours , " She hugged him , then wiping her tears away , eve interrupted at the door ," Sheridan , everyone is here , and so is Father Lonigan. I'll go and explain things to the guests and then we'll start okay." Sheridan smiled , thanked her , and as eve closed back the door , sheridan sighed ," Well , this is it. "

Chapter 8:

Moments had gone , by , where everyone left , sheridan in the room , by herself , and where , theresa had returned , saying ," Sheridan , you need to come with me." Sheridan curiously inquired," Why? Where are we going? What about my wedding. ?" Theresa replied," Trust me. This is part of your wedding... but , before we go , ..." Theresa removed the veil from sheridan's head and unhooking the slide comb from the fabric, she slid it back in her hair., then she said ," Sheridan , i have one more thing to do, that . will probaby shock you, but .. please.. trust me."

Sheridan smiled and said ," Okay..yy." Theresa fingered with the sleeves of sheridan's off the shoulder dress , and within minutes had removed it , revealing a quickly made pair of one inch wide straps, that rested at the tips of each shoulder. Sheridan inquired,"How .. how did you do that?" Theresa grinned and revealed ," It's called bias binding adhesive tape." Sheridan asked ," Wait a minute , is this supposed to lead up to where we are going??"

Theresa replied ," Only part .. okay , good , now you're ready. ,... Actually , well , not quite , but when we reach where we are going , then we'll do the rest. Luis has planned, this surprise for you . He said it is to give you a clue as to where you are going on your honeymoon." Sheridan confessed ," You have me intrigued ." Theresa answered," Wait till you see what's coming next." .... Just then there was a knock on the door, and ethan entered saying ," Hey , you guys ready? (turning to theresa , asking ) does she know?"

Theresa admitted ," She knows that we're taking her somewhere , and the alternation of her dress has something to do with it , but that is it , nothing more. " Ethan replied ," Hmm , luis is such a romantic , you're going to love this sheridan." Theresa turned to sheridan and asked ," Ready?" Sheridan nodded , and ethan lead her out into the hall, where she noticed was completely empty and quiet. She was then lead out of the building and in an awaiting car.

It was 5 pm, and they approached the silence of the park , just off the stretch of the beach , . Ethan parked the car , then he and theresa helped sheridan out. Sheridan became absorbed by the fresh , lushious green of the trees and well kept lawn , as well as the glorious flowers the caressed the beauty of the scenery , of red , yellow , garden green and glazing white. The air was fresh and cool, and the tantalizing aura of the surroundings , accentuated the romantic seduction of the senses.

Then came the tingling of voices , not too far in the distance , caressing the air , and theresa and ethan lead sheridan along a path , then around a bend , then finally in a quiet area, where familiar faces , gathered , on both sides of a walkpath of a lushious white carpet of hibiscus flowers , and at the other end of the path , there she saw him.

Luis stood there , all dressed and dazzling in his tuxedo , talking with Father Lonigan , and Pilar. As the voices stopped to look at sheridan , luis stopped talking as well , and turned his head , to see her , standing looking at her , as beautiful as he had ever seen her. Their eyes meeting , an instant connection. Their lips smiled , and their eyes interlocked. It was magnetism!!

After a few moments, Sheridan turned , to theresa and asked," Theresa , everything is so beautiful. What is all this?" Theresa replied ," What does it look like? It's your wedding silly. Luis thought you'd like the ceremony here, instead of the youth center. We will go back there for the reception , , but luis thought you'd like the ceremony here. Romantic , isn't it. ?" Sheridan smiled and replied ," Very, it's amazing."

Then sheridan became once again absorbed in the scene , and in luis , across the flower path, when theresa said ," Well, here is the last thing you'll need." Theresa placed a large , long hawaiian garland of flowers , of white , with hints of yellow , hibiscus , and green leaves , called a lei, around her neck , and resting gently on her shoulders with it hanging short infront of her and long at her back. Then she stuck a single white hibiscus in her hair using the comb slide to secure it , just above her ears.

Sheridan became engrossed in the lei , she cried ," Theresa , it is beautiful, but where did .." Theresa interrupted ," You know luis. He has his ways. So , have you figured where he is taking you on your honeymoon." Sheridan answered ," You mean , it's real. we're going to hawaii?? Theresa nodded , and sheridan turned to look at luis smiling at her, nd she returned his smile. The tears flooded and holding in her eyes. Just then , sheridan was surprised to hear the music being played. and theresa said ," Sheridan , it's time ." Ethan took her hand , and as the song played , the music sheering through the battery operated CD player chad had.

During the song , ethan lead sheridan along the carpeted flower aisle , to meet luis, but not one minute did she take her eyes away from him. , the excitement grew , with all eyes focused on them. Tears flushed her eyes, and for luis , her beauty amazed him. She glowed , and it was breathtaking. Ethan delivered her to luis , and as luis took her hands in his , still gazing at each other, luis smiled at her and mouthed ," I Love You."

Sheridan grinned and returned his words of love. The couple stood infront of Father Lonigan , who guided them through the traditional vows to love and cherish till death do they part. , to the witness and family and friends, and with the giving and exchanging of rings, and Father Lonigan blessed the union , and pronounced them husband and wife. Luis and sheridan sealed it with a kiss. that was as passionate , as fevered , as intimate as any of the kisses they've ever shared in public.

Their kiss brought an applause that vibrated the air , and when it broke , ignoring the applause , they smiled at each other , and once again , mouthed ," I love you ." then stole a quick kiss , before they were surrounded , by family and friends . After awhile , luis announced that he was driving both him and sheridan back to the youth center for the reception, and they escaped to a quiet , private spot in the park, where luis stopped and pulled her in a deeper kiss , then sheridan hugged him tightly and confessed ," Ohh luis , i love you , and thankyou , it was so amazing , so romantic , i can't believe where we are going for our honeymoon."

Luis smiled and inquired ," Surprised , ??" Sheridan confessed ," Yes , i.. i don't know what to say ." Luis chuckled ,' Well , i thought , that we could visit somewhere romantic , and learn and explore the place together. We can build our memories together , with hawaii , as a wonderful place that neither of us has ever been before." Sheridan sighed ," Ohh , i love you ..." They kissed once again , before luis lead her to the car , them still holding hands.

Sheridan and Luis entered the Youth Center Hall , to be greeted by a thunderous applause from the guests, then they were encouraged to share their first dance together. Luis held her close, their eyes interlocked , then occasionally , sheridan would rest her head against one side of luis, her hair slightly tickling his ears. At some moments she and luis would wisper something to each other , and at one point luis asked her," You're happy?" Sheridan smiled , and replied , with a glistening in her eyes ," I am very happy. Whenever i'm with you , i'm happy. " Luis smiled ," I love you ." Sheridan confessed ,"I love you too. Thankyou so much , I wanted to tell you again. I love the surprise. Now i'm going to have to learn to hula dance ."

Luis chuckled ," Well , i don't think that should be a problem. We may not have time to hula , i plan to keep you all to myself. We can hula together , in our bed,.hmmhmm..you want to hear another surprise?" Sheridan replied ," There's more ?" Luis answered ," Well , it seems your uncle C.C , has a beach house on one of the islands. A private beach house , and he is letting us use it. So it will be just you and me , no interruptions. " Sheridan chuckled ," Hmm hmm , I love the sound of that. But .. Luis , how are you going to pay for the trip. i mean you know.."

Luis answered ," Hey .. don't worry about that. Money is no obstacle, remember , we made that pact. I love you , and i want us to go , somewhere very special where there'll be no interruptions , just us, and not only that , but the beach house , has a hot tub. We leave tonight. ... Alright , to be honest , i really wanted to take you , to hawaii , and was planning on it. Before your family came here , i spoke to him on the phone.

He asked where i was planning to take you , and i told him. He offered , the house for as long as we want it, and , his pilot is going to take us , so we won't have to worry about that. But everything else i'm taking care of. I really wanted to do something very special for you." Sheridan smiled and confessed ," You already do so many special things for me. I can't wait ."

Luis smiled, and drew her back against him, and confessed ," I can't wait either." They continued dancing through the song , and at moments , sheridan would lip sync some of the verses of the song, and luis would just gaze into the blue pools of her eyes. When the song was over sheridan and luis stole a quick kiss from each other , before strolling off the floor and were joined by Pilar , Aunt Maria , and members of sheridan's west coast family , who congratulated them.

Later , luis and sheridan hugged pilar and maria , and thanked them for the support and love they bestowed upon them. Pilar cried , caressing the side of luis's cheek," I can't believe my boy is finally a married man. Married to the woman , who i have loved like a daughter for many many years , a woman who has changed our lives , has made my son happy. You are now truly my daughter ( pilar glancing lovingly at sheridan. for a moment then back at luis ) you two have truly conquered a long line of obstacles. "

Luis hugged her again , followed by sheridan , then pilar continued ," I .. uhh .. i need to talk to you two about something ." Sheridan and luis nodded , then as both sat at a table in a secluded area of the room , and pilar joined them , pilar said ," Luis , i'm planning to leave harmony , move back to mexico. I don't think my job at the Crane estate still stands , since , you know... and ivy said she'll probably go and stay with some cousins she has. " Sheridan exclaimed ," Whhatt!! Noo!!"

Pilar continued ," Yes!! , Luis , you are married now , and soon theresa will be to ethan. Miguel , he's , planning to move out. He wants to get a more permanent job , and purchase the small island he always talks about. Maybe in the next three years i'll come home for his wedding. Who knows .. but , i think my place is now in mexico , with maria , and paloma , she's still young , and will need me ,"

Sheridan cried ," But .. but .. i'll need you . I'll need you here with me . you can't leave me ." Pilar answered ," Ohh , sheridan, you have luis now , you take care of each other. " Sheridan replied ," but what about when luis and i start having a family, i'll need you to help me , you raised wonderful children , i want my children to be just like yours ." Pilar answered ," Not to worry , they will. They'll have the most wonderful , loving parents , in the world. You'll do fine."

Sheridan cried ," Noo .. noo ... you can't leave , please pilar. I want my children to have at least one grandparent around them. I mean , you could forget about my father , Alistair does'nt care about anyone , but himself , the crane name , power , everything that comes with it. My mother is dead , luis's father , is missing .. we need you , please don't leave." Luis also added ," Mama , please , listen to sheridan. Hey , i was'nt going to tell you this , but sheridan and i , we're planning to look for papa , now that we know he is alive , we're going to find him. I promise. We'll find papa. Please stay."

Pilar taking their hands in hers , said ," Listen , i want you to forget about your father , okay , concentrate on building a life together , it's only if Alistair only suspects about what you are up to , i don't want to begin to think about what he'll do. I'm already nervous of how he'll react when he reads tomorrow's paper and finds out you are married ." Luis replied ," Don't worry mama , but i am going to find papa ."

Pilar answered ," Look , your father , would have agreed , we want you to have the house. We have built many memories there , now it's your turn, it's your home too. We want you to have it. " Sheridan smiled and slowly shook her head ," It means alot to us , since we have to move out of the cottage .. but .." Luis continued ," But we can't take from you what you and papa built together. Please say you'll stay , please ."

His begging , was adorable , and pilar could never turn him down , then said ," Alright , but just for now, but i want you and sheridan to have your father and my room. It is your home now , you should have the master bedroom , i'll stay in the back guest bedroom, theresa and i will share it till she and ethan marry. We'll give you two as much privacy as possible. " Luis and Sheridan hugged her before returning to the excitement of their guests.

Chapter 10:

The reception was in full swing, including the music and dancing , and everyone were enjoying themselves despite everything that happened over a month ago. Chad selected the music for the night with impeccable taste, and luis and sheridan ruled the dance floor, together. After awhile , everyone , with glasses in hand , stood , gazing at ivy , who had called for their attention, she then said ," Everyone , i would just like to say , congratulations to sheridan and luis.

I am very , very happy for them, i wish you both the best of everything good , that life has to offer. Also , i .. umm. i would like to add , thankyou for everything you've done for my son and myself, in the past month or so. after everything happened , i.. umm. i did'nt know how ethan and i were going to make it. I was more worried for ethan. I made very bad choices in my life , choices that affected my son ethan's life. And the thing is .. when i thought i lost everyone , i thought i could have depended on, when i thought i lost people who would understand why i did , what i did , i , really did'nt lose them at all."

Ivy strolled up to sheridan , and taking her hands in hers continued ," Very few people knew what it was like to be a woman in the Crane family, whether you were born into it or married , it was the same. It was tough, and you of all people knew , understood what it was like. I guess .. that if , i had supported you , been kinder to you when you were a child , i could have protected you from the pain and suffering you went through ,.. but then again .. if i did .. you may never hve met luis.

I thought the night , my past , about sam , and the truth about ethan's paternity came out , i thought , after we .. umm. talked , i thought you were angry with me , and hated me. But then , you , and theresa brought ethan back to me. So actually the people i depended on , i did'nt lose. Anyway, thankyou both for everything, for helping me and ethan through some very difficult times , sheridan you are unique, very special."

Ivy turned to the others and continued ," You know , when , Alistair , and julian , and even rebecca , and even sam , turned their backs on ethan , this girl , his beloved aunt sheridan , stood by him. It did'nt matter to her that ethan was no longer a crane, she took him in and helped him , and loved him , no less than she did just hours before she knew the truth, she loved him even more after. That meant alot to me. And luis was right , Sheridan is the only Crane that is good , that is different. I wish you two all the happiness in the world , because you deserve it , so much. "

Ivvy embraced sheridan and luis , then theresa came forward and said ," Well .. I guess as Luis's sister , it is my turn . .... All my life , i have dreamt of the day , that true love will come to me , that the man i dreamed of marrying one day .. a man , many , many people , thought impossible for me to marry , even luis .. he kept on telling me to get my head out of the clouds cause it would never happen.

I think partly , is because he thought i should'nt dream of the impossible , to him , and the other , because he did'nt approve of this man's family. It's no secret that luis always hated the cranes. But i thought , my brother just needed time. He needed to find true love in his life , to understand my dreams.

Who knew that one summer , two years ago , his true love would have come crashing into harmony, literally too!!." She said laughingly, then continued ," I remeber at mamas birthday party , how they were , they could'nt stand an inch away from each other without fighting. And then mama wanted luis to do the tango for her, and she sent him to look for a partner, look who he happened to end up dancing with.

This was the first time , luis , put so much meaning into his tango. Then after that day , there was this .. i don't know .. this magnetic heat between them , even though they still fought for months .. but then gradually , they both mellowed together , and allowed themselves to fall in love.

I mean do you know how wonderful it was for me .. to know that i was in love with a boy from the family luis hated , and luis was inlove with a member of the same family... finally , i mean unfortunately , it took sheridan's .. death.. for luis to see how important true love was , because when he lost sheridan that time .. he had fallen apart , and we realised how much he loved her.

I mean ethan had told me that sheridan loved luis .. and Mrs. Crane had said that sheridan and luis loved each other,.. they just had'nt admitted it yet .. but with everything that happened , with them .. it just goes to show how love can conquer all. Luis was'nt ready to let sheridan go , and she was not ready to leave luis .. That's true love .. and mama taught me that.

I am so happy , that luis finally found someone to love and that loves him , and he finally is experiencing true love, he's experiencing what i have for ethan. .. Congratulations you two. ... Everyone raise your glasses , to true love ." Everyone echoed ," To true love!!"

Then luis and Sheridan hugged theresa .. then moments later , everyone had gathered around the table to witness sheridan and luis cutting and feeding each other, a piece of their wedding cake .. followed by a kiss , and then a last dance. Moments had gone by , when Sheridan through her bouquet and she and luis announced they were leaving for their honeymoon. They kissed , and thanked everyone , hugged their families , then sped off through the harmony hills , to the awaiting plane , to take them to hawaii.

Chapter 11:

Sheridan and Luis sat cuddled together , holding hands, and sheridan's head , bent sideways , resting on luis's shoulder, while their private plane flew over the American states , towards the pacific ocean , for the Hawaiian islands which were hours away from arriving , when luis said ," You know , the captain told me earlier , that we'll be stopping off in New Mexico, first before hawaii. I was thinking , what if we spend a couple days there?? You remember the last time we were there together?" Sheridan smiled ," Remember? I'll never forget it. We went there to search for martin." Luis then added ," And you fell into the turbulent river , while we were climbing the mountain , to search for his cabin."

Sheridan sighed ," And you saved me , It was the first time , of the many times , you saved my life. I'll always remember that. " Sheridan raised her head to recieve his kiss, which lingered , for awhile , until it broke , and she continued,"hmm, and uhh , remember what happened when we finally reached the cabin, i was sick and dilirious ,and ...." Luis then continued for her ," And you kissed me and asked me to make love to you."

Sheridan replied ," And , you refused me. You were a perfect gentleman , and did'nt take advantage of the situation, even thoughhhh... there was this feeling in me , that wished , you did make love to me. " Luis then confessed ," Well, you need not worry about that , cause this time , making love to you will be my top priority." Sheridan sighed ," Ohh , luis , i love you." His lips just inches away from hers , he confessed ," I love you too."..He kissed her , and then caressed some of the stray strands of her hair with his fingers , then he continued," So , What do you say.

We could spend a couple days there first?" Sheridan smiled , and with her fingers caressing the soft fabric , of his t shirt , she replied ," Wellll... why don't we just spend our honeymoon there , cause i think once we have settled there , we won't want to leave until after the honeymoon. I see us changing our minds , and staying there . I mean , we can always take the hawaiian trip another time, right ?" Luis sighed ," Hmmm , i like the way you think. Okay , we can leave hawaii for another time ."

Sheridan inquired ," Are you sure you don't mind. I mean you had this wonderful trip planned , .." Luis replied," Hey , as long as i'm with you , that's all that matters." Sheridan sighed , and hugged him , then a stewardess appeared , and announced ," Mr. , Mrs. Lopez Fitzgerald , the captain wanted me to tell you that we'll be landing in Santa Fe , New Mexico , soon , before heading to Hawaii."

Luis then explained the change in plans , which brought a smile to the stewardess. She seem to realise that New Mexico , held more memories for them than hawaii could and they were anxious to begin their honeymoon. After leaving sheridan whispered to luis..Mr. and Mrs. Lopez Fitzgerald .. hmmm, i like the sound of that." Luis smiled ," Me too , especially knowing you are the Mrs. I love you." Sheridan replied ," I love you too," which both sealed it with a kiss!!

Hours had gone by , and finally the plane had landed. Sheridan and luis thanked the captain and the stewardess , made arrangements for their return trip back to harmony , then , collecting their belongings , they made their way , to the same hotel , they stayed in , on their last trip there. They then checked into their suite , where luis called for a room service dinner. While sheridan changed out of her travel clothes , luis set the suite for a romantic wedding night , that they'll always remember.

Sheridan strolled out of the bathroom , wearing a thick robe . She approached luis, whose back was facing her , as he gazed out the window , and the scenery down below. She wrapped her arms around him and whispered ," Luis..." He turned , and said ," Hmm , you are tempting me. Dinner will be here in an hours time ." Sheridan smiled and said ," Well..." she started , fingering with his t shirt , then continued ,"

Why don't we , take a quick shower together, then , we can umm , have dinner .. after. " Luis chuckled ," Hmm ,.. then dessert , sounds wonderful." Sheridan nodded , then luis lifted her , up in his arms , and carried her through the bedroom and into the bathroom, shutting the door behind them, with the sound of the hot steaming water trailing in the air.

Chapter 12 :

Many hours went by, and sheridan and Luis lay in the embrace of each other's arms, a smile glowing on both their faces , when Sheridan sighed ," Dinner was wonderful , and making love with you was wonderful." Luis chuckled , " Hmm , which one was more wonderful , ceviche, mexican tomales, champayne , dessert , or ... me making love to you." Sheridan replied smiling , gazing into the dark pools of his eyes ," Which one do you think?"

Luis chuckled ," Hmm.hmm, I think , we are on the same page , " Sheridan sighed ," I know we are..." Luis then said ," I have an idea , tomorrow , we can do a little exploring. Hey , we could go to the cafe , we went to last time , and we could take a drive up the same road , we used when we were going to the cabin. " Sheridan confessed ," Sounds wonderful. "

Then for a few minutes , there was silence ,.. then sheridan said ," luis , i promise , i'm going to be the best wife , i could be , i'm , i'm going to , do , everything i could. " Luis replied ," sheridan , there is nothing more you have to do , you were always perfect for me. " Sheridan sighed ," Ohh , luis , ..... i know we discussed this before , but i want you to remember that the Crane money , meant , nor means anything to me. All that is important , is that we'll always be together.

We'll spend our entire life together. I mean , i know there'll be times when we'll have to sacrifice alot of things , . I mean , yes , i used to travel alot , there are so many places i visited , so many in europe , but right now , when i look back , i was'nt very happy doing it, because i was basically alone. I did'nt have you to share it with. And all the beautiful jewelry , and clothes , i loved them , but even those did'nt make me happy. Only when you came into my life , that is when i realised how everything i had before , money , jewelry , beautiful clothes , everything , they were'nt important .

You know , .. i .. i used to be jealous of beth." Luis inquired," Why ?? I know that , you told me you felt incompetant , when compared to mama and beth , but why jealous?" Sheridan confessed ," Because of the same thing. Compared to her , i am incompetant, and also compared to your mother. I have watched pilar , do so many wonderful things.

Remember that night , we were looking at the clips of spain , and we fell asleep , and pilar, walked in on us , kissing. She brought us muffins to have for breakfast the following morning. Luis , i .. i can't even make muffins. All i can make is scrammbled eggs , coffee, and toast. but other than that .. i am hopeless. And when it comes to caring for a home , i .. i don't know, .... i mean pilar was always there for me . I just pray that i don't disappoint you. "

Luis replied ," Sheridan , honey you could never disappointment me. We have lived together for months at the cottage , and we got through it. We did'nt have any maids , we did'nt have to depend on money. You and i worked at it together. Remember? Mama , stopped bringing breakfast for us , cause you and i took over that responsibility, and the same with taking care of the cottage. And i still say you make the best coffee." Sheridan smiled ," hmm, well , if it's the only thing that i make best." Luis teased ," Ohh it's not the only thing."

Sheridan chuckled ," Well i promise, i am going to learn to do many of the things your mother does. I'm going to be the best wife i could be ." Luis then answered ," And as i said , you already are. I love you , with all my heart and soul." Sheridan replied ," I love you too. You know , we should really call the family , let them know where we are , let them know the change in plans. " Luis said ," Yeah .. well , we could call them in the morning before we go exploring , but right now , there is only one thing on my mind."

Luis brought himself even much closer to sheridan , his warm body against hers , the back of his hand caressing the side of her face , her arms around him in a loving embrace , and sheridan saying ," What's that." Luis returned her smile , with ," This .." He lowered his lips , to meet hers , in a kiss so deep , his body , embraced hers , with the intensity, passion and love .. to fullfill what their hearts desired .

Chapter 13:

By the following morning , Sheridan and luis had awaken to the beautiful morning , that called to them. They rented a car and began exploring what awaited their curiousity of the mystery behind, this place , that was so rich in culture , and people. They visited roadside cafes and diners, and seducing sites that santa fe offered, all romantic , and alluring. They ate of the rich culture , of the mexican people , the delicious flavours of soft and crisp tacos , stuffed with delicate shrimp , or beef , topped with crisp chopped lettuce , plump juicy red tomatoes , and cheese .

and satisfied in wetting their palette , with mexican orange sangria. They then visited the local church , that housed , proof of history of the people of New Mexico , their strong religious beliefs, of statues of remembrance of saints , of the Holy Family , of the Blessed Virgin Mary , and that of Jesus. It's simple architecture , did not decrease the height of beauty and delicate aura , that caressed the church , with the glorious flowers , and the flickering of holy prayer candles.

It was a moment , sheridan savoured , as she drew luis deeper into the heart of the quiet church , where she lit one of the candles , and in conversation , confessed her love , and appreciation for the blessings and joy bestowed upon her. Days would go by , where Sheridan and luis spent moments together , enjoying the activities , surrounding them. But not one time , did they lose sight of each other. Without interruptions they savoured these moments , in each others arms , not worrying of visitors at the door , or the ringing of the telephone.

During the day , Santa Fe , was a busy place , people bustling here , to there, but at night , the picture was somewhat different. On the last night of their stay, they dined in the hotel restaurant, where they noticed a family that seemed familiar to them , yet seemed to increase in numbers , with children chattering , and babies sleeping , in the arms of their mothers, the aura was comforting and inviting.

After a few moments , an elderly couple , from the sizable family , whom gathered , and swallowed up most of the dining room , strolled over as they saw sheridan and luis , smiling in their direction , gazing in delight , and as the approached sheridan and luis , the woman, her hair , shoulder length , of brown , with a hint of red and black , with the smooth , lines of grey and white at her temples , said , " Excuse me , but you seem familiar to me , do you live in new mexico?"

Sheridan smiled and said ," No , no we don't . Luis and i were here some years ago , we met you right here , you invited us , to dance with your family. " The Woman replied ," Ohh yes , i remember, it was for my and my husband's anniversary. I think i remembered telling you that you two made a beautiful couple, i still do. Listen why don't you join us. My grandaughter has become, how do you say it ?? umm, engaged . Please."

Luis then said ," Ohh , we'd love to , but umm, we , we are on our honeymoon, and tonight is our last night here ." The woman exclaimed ," You married, this is wonderful. Please , just for a little while. We can toast to you too. " Luis , glanced at sheridan for just a minute , smiled , and nodded , then he and sheridan accepted the woman's invitation. Within minutes , they were whisked away , to join the family, They were introduced , and they were toasted too.

The woman , then announced ," To this beautiful couple , may your marriage , bring you ,an abundance of the many joys , and happiness ,that you deserve , may the power of your love strengthen to the majestic heights, and may you be blessed with the joy of the laughter of many children , that we have , from your children , to your grandchildren , and thereafter. God bless." Sheridan and luis accepted the toast joyfully , and sheridan hugged the old woman , in thanks. Moments later , music began to play, the strumming of the guitars , and cuatro , inviting them to dance.

Firstly , the old woman and her husband , began to dance , then , both came hurriedly across to sheridan and luis , pulling them on the dancefloor . The seducing music , lured sheridan and luis in a seductive tango, with everyone looking on , cheering them. The perfection of each step , each turn , twist , move , swirl , each intertwine , each eyelock , the touch , the heat in their caressing fingers, brought the sex appeal of the dance , to pulsing heights. The love and passion they had for each other , was now a front page headline sight.

And when the music ended , luis met sheridan's lips with his in a kiss , to conclude the dance, then as the applause , came , flooding the acoustics of the room, they thanked the family, wishing them well, and recieving the same in kind , sheridan and luis, hurried out of the dining room, their hands and fingers interlocked in each other , up the staircase , and through the corridor and into the cool darkness of their bedroom, where , the hunger of their passion , and love , journeyed them into a passionate and sensual lovemaking , into a world that was all their own , a world that only two of them would share together.

Chapter 14:

Meanwhile , back in harmony , theresa , ethan , whitney and chad , were having cups of cuppaccino , at the bookcafe , when beth walzed by and heard theresa and ethan talking about sheridan and luis. Beth stopped at their table and inquired ," Theresa , umm , i have'nt seen luis or sheridan in awhile. Are they okay. I have been out of town for weeks and when i came back , luis has not visited the book cafe, nor the pool hall."

Theresa , chad , whitney and ethan glanced at each other , and theresa said ,' Ohh , you have'nt been in harmony for awhile , then i , uhh , i guess you have'nt heard. Luis and sheridan , they are on their honeymoon." Beth replied ," Honeymoon??" Theresa answered," Yes , umm , they got married about a week ago. " Beth said ," Really?? I guess , things did work out great for them ." Ethan replied ," Yes , of course , why won't it. Sheridan love luis and luis loves sheridan. I mean , i admit even though i knew he cared deeply for her , it was only when she died i saw how much he loved her. "

Theresa whispered ," Ethan.. umm." Beth replied ," No ,,.. theresa .. it's alright. I heard about that. You know , sheridan and what happened. I thought that , luis would have been very upset. I mean , i heard they resolved their problems and were umm, alright with each other. Chad had told me about the mine shaft incident , and then i found out how devastated luis was , when sheridan , died . It must have been awful."

Theresa answered ," Yes , it , was . Luis was not the same. He did'nt come home the night. He was lost , he did'nt want to be around anyone. He wanted to be as close to her as he could. He went places where they had been together. Maybe one of the worst was .. um ... at her funeral , he was... shattered , destroyed , he was neither the luis i knew before sheridan came back to harmony , or even the luis i knew when she was here. He was not luis. ...

You know , beth , i know you and luis had something in high school , and it ended , maybe at one point what you two had was very special , but , when ethan , myself .. when everyone saw , how luis was when sheridan died , we realised that what they share , was something extremly special.

When luis found out that she was buried alive , and that her murder was an fbi plot to bring out the drug cartel , and he and ethan went to save her , but they were too late , and we thought she was dead , luis grieved for her all over again , but he did'nt want to accept she died , and he prayed , and cried , and begged her to come back to him. When he held her lifeless body , it was so sad.

And when she came back , it was a miracle. but he is happy beth. I know you wish that it was you he was with , but , he's happy. he's more happy than i've ever seen him. even mama was commenting on that. "

Beth confessed ," Well ... i'm... i'm glad. I told him that before i left harmony weeks ago. as long as he's happy. So ,.. i uhh , guess , luis , has settled to live her lifestyle." Theresa answered ," Noo,, . sheridan is going to be living with us. she has given up everything. She knows it is going to be hard for awhile , but she did'nt mind. She really loves him, she'll do anything for him." Beth sighed ," Well i hope she knows what she's getting herself into. I mean , i'm happy they are happy , but it will be more difficult for her to adjust than she thinks ."

Ethan exclaims ," Are you suggesting that sheridan , is incapable of living a normal life of a cop's wife. When sheridan sets her mind to something , she works hard to make it happen. And knowing that luis loves her just as much as she loves him , will drive her to be the wife luis will want, and sheridan won't have to work hard , cause luis chose her , he loves her for who she is .

that is important. I can't believe any other couple being in love more than theresa and i , but , sheridan and luis .. wow ." Whitney exclaims ," Ohh , yes , like at your guys engagement party , i could swear that those two wished they were elsewhere , than there." The foursome seemed to be forgetting that beth had now joined them , sitting at the table , and chad continued ," And did you see how fast they flew out of there , with these huge smiles on their faces, it was as if something big was going to happen. " Theresa confessed ," Well , whitney remember what you told me ."

Whitney replied ," ohh , you mean , what my mom said ." Theresa nodded and ethan inquired ," What did doctor russell say." Whitney confessed ," Well , according to my mom , and mind you , i heard her telling my dad , that , it seems sheridan and luis have been trying to .. you know , make love for awhile , but they always gets interrupted , and then there was sheridan's death.

But anyway , my mom said that new years day , she was told that luis called her saying that sheridan was having these dizzy spells , so she went over to check on her at the cottage , and it seems my mom interrupted something .. umm., you know .. intimate between them. Anyway , my mom checked sheridan and told her she needed to take it easy, and that they could'nt make love until sheridan had a full recovery . Mom said that at the party , she gave sheridan and luis the go ahead, that is why they flew out of there so quickly. "

Ethan asked ," how do you know this , how did your mom tell your dad." whitney confessed ," Well , daddy said that at the party , sheridan and luis seemed more the engaged couple than you or theresa were , and my mom explained to him what happened, and then how my mom reacted when she saw sheridan and luis coming back to the mansion after she gave them the go ahead, but sheridan had forgotten her purse."

Ethan answered," yeah , i heard they had a big night planned . I was so sorry that my paternity problem, interrupted their plans, but from the look of it , they did make up for it after. Remember when i called you from sheridan's cottage that night. Well let's say , if i had come minutes before , we would have had an awkward encounter." Beth then opened up , in exclamation ," Okayyyy , i really don't want to hear about sheridan and luis's umm, romantic affairs , i'm really not interested ,"

The fourome glanced at each other in shame , and theresa cried ," Beth , we are sooo sorry , we , i mean , we forgot you were there , you were so quiet, it's just , when we're together , there are a couple topics we talk about and sheridan and luis are one of them. We're sorry," Everyone ele also apologised as beth got up from her seat, and beth replied ," That's . that's alright . well as long as sheridan makes luis happy. As long as both are happy." Theresa and ethan confessed ," Yes , well , they are. Very happy." Beth , gave them a nod , then as she began to walk away , theresa said ," Ohh i can't wait for them to come home tomorrow.

Mama is planning this wonderful dinner , to welcome them back. I hope you chad, and whitney will come. Sheridan's family is still here as well as my aunt maria and my sister paloma , and they'll all be there. It is a welcome back for sheridan and luis and a sort of farewell , with lots of love for sheridan's family , and my aunt and sister before they leave." Chad and whitney replied ," Ohh i would'nt miss it for the world. thanks theresa." After awhile , theresa confessed ," I feel so bad , discussing sheridan and luis infront of beth. I forgot she was sitting there."

Ethan answered ," me too , i just hope she does'nt try to cause problems for them." Chad replied ," Nahh , beth will never do that. /i think she realises that sheridan and luis love each other more than life itself , ad she'll move on with hers. She is not the type to cause trouble." Theresa answered ," Well chad , i can't agree with you. I mean , beth has known luis for years.

I've never known her to just give up. I do feel sorry for her , but the thing is after she and luis broke up , he never gave her even the slightest indication he wanted her back. i think from the moment sheridan came to town , i think luis was only focused on one girl. Sherian. If you don't mind , i'll keep an eye on her. " Chad replied ," suite yourself." And with that , they finished their drinks , and parted their ways for home.

Chapter 15 :

The sun rose to welcome a new day , and just before midday , Ethan and theresa met sheridan and Luis at the airport, then driving through the harmony hills , towards town , theresa revealed stunning information. Events that occurred during their absence., which astounded the couple. For , on hearing of sheridan and luis's surprise wedding , Alistair was raging with anger, the fury of his response , was clearly noted.

He ordered julian, to have sheridan stripped of the title , he had her cottage stripped of her belongings , having her clothes and books , tossed into boxes , and sent to pilar .. and the crane family jewelry , that was given to her , was retrieved and locked away in the family vault at Crane Industries.

The rest of her jewelry , , simple diamond and pearl earrings , that were given as gifts by Ivy , and Ethan , as well as friends she had in Europe , and those pieces she purchased of her own , , were also , tossed with her belongings. The cottage was then bolted shut and chained , to prevent anyone from entering. The tingling she felt surge through her spine , and her body , gave her a sense that , the lack of dignity and respect , was now in full force , by her brother and father.

She knew she should'nt have expected less. Even her mother was denied , a life of complete respect and love of a husband, and honor of a son , so why should'nt the daughter and sister suffer the same fate. Not wanting to go home at the Lopez Fitzgeralds , just yet , a home filled with an abundance of love , that she so envied ever since her arrival back in harmony , from escaping a mistaking relationship in paris , with jean luc.

A home where she'll be beginning her new life with as Mrs. Luis Lopez Fitzgerald, with the love of a man , whom had rescued her from a life of sadness and loneliness. Who caressed her and filled her , with a love so rare , so rich , in honor , respect , security , passion , a love they so cherished together.

And though the news of their disrespect for her , burned and scorched her , a heat that burned within her , the love she felt from luis , his family , the capwells , and ethan , was able to prevent the painful knowledge of her father's lack of love and understanding for her , from burning a hole in her heart , leaving just a faint blister. Sheridan asked ethan , to take them to the boofcafe for awhile , which he was more than happy to oblige.

On arriving at the Bookcafe , ethan and theresa walked in first , followed by sheridan and luis , when familiar eyes of eve , whitney , chad , ivy , and sam , gazed in their direction, and smiles welcoming them back home. Sheridan was greeted with hugs , and curious requests of their honeymoon experience.

Luis chuckled , as sheridan was being lead , to a connecting table , where their friends were sitting . Beth , standing behind the counter , looking at sheridan with envy , and mischief , and luis having purchased a couple raspberry creamcheese croissants , and cups of coffee, gave beth a quick hello , then hurried over to where his new bride was sitting.

Eve , gazed at sheridan with curiousity and asked ," Soo, you two , how was it?? I heard that you guys did'nt go to hawaii anymore but you went to new mexico," Sheridan stole a glance at luis , a smile on her face , and answered ," Yeah , well , we had to make a stop off in new mexico before heading to hawaii , but then we decided to stay in new mexico instead ,since , it is one of our favourite places. "

Luis added ," Ohh , it is my favourite place , and of all of new mexico , the hotel room is my favourite ." with a chuckle. Sheridan blushed and said ," It was wonnderrful. i loved every minute of it." Everyone smiled , then after a few minutes , beth came over to the group , and looking at sheridan and luis , said," Umm , .. Sheridan .. luis.. i .. umm. i just . wanted to say congratulations , i wish you the best , of everything ."

Sheridan gave a faint smile , and replied ," Thankyou beth . that meant alot , especially from you. I do hope we'll be able to be good friends, despite everything." Beth answered ," Hmmm, i'm .. umm, i'm.. sure we'll be." With that she excused herself and left. Theresa bent over to sheridan and whispered ," Sheridan , i would advise you, keep you eyes open , i have this feeling she is going to come with something , to try to damper you and luis ."

Sheridan replied ," Ohh don't worry about that. Nothing and no one can come between us. And i don't think beth would really do something to hurt us. She is not that petty."

Theresa gave her a faint yet unconvinced smile , and said to herself ," None the less , i'll keep my eye on her. Something is nagging me about it. Almost a month ago when she told luis she was happy for him , she seemed to settle to easily with luis's choice , she must be up to something." Then after a few moments , she turned her attention back to the discussion that was going on.

Chapter 16:

Hours had gone by, when sheridan and luis visited the crane estate to speak with julian , however, their presence was not welcomed and by orders from Alistair , the couple were restrained from entering, and with great annoyance and disgust, they left , and made their way , home where pilar was preparing a special dinner. Holding the steering wheel , with one hand , and the other resting on sheridan's lap , her arm , around the back of the head rest , of luis's seat, luis glanced at her with concern, and said ,' Sheridan , you okay? Julian and alistair are horrible."

Sheridan gave half as smile , and luis could see a hint of tears in her eyes flickering and she confessed ," Yes , they are. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed and hurt i am by their actions. , but...." she paused for a second , and reaching for his hand that was resting on her lap , and taking it into her own , and clasping it , her fings interlocked with his , she continued ," As long as i am with you , as long as we love each other, i'll be just fine." Luis smiled and tightened the grip their hands held , then said ," Well you'll be great , cause i do love you. We'll always be together, and i will always be here for you."

She then returned his smile with an even wider mmore glorious one than before. Within minutes , they had arrived home , to be greeted by , sheridan's family , as well as ethan , theresa , pilar , Aunt Maria , ivy , chad , and whitney. Time had passsed and though nothing could cheer up sheridan , she still enjoyed the sumptious delicious dinner Pilar and aunt maria prepared. They made dished of Arroz Con Pollo, Tamale , a delicious Rich meaty stew of chicken, beef and Pork, served with flour tortillas, and green salad, as well as Iced cold pitcjers of Iced Tea , Mexican Orange Sangria, and pots of Hot coffee, with servings of fresh fruit cocktail and icecream.

After dinner , Sheridan and Luis , as well as their friends and family , gathered in the family room, infront of the fireplace , sheridan and luis cuddled , on the sofa, . After awhile , sheridan said ," Luis , i promise, i'll help you find out what julian and alistair are up to, and what happened to your father. They are up to something and i have to find out what it is. " Luis answered,' Sheridan , don't worry , i'll find a way. "

Pilar cried ," Luis , sheridan , i beg you , please , drop it. You're beginning a new life together now , please don't burden yourselves with that. Not now anyway. As i told you before , sooner or later the truth will come out. It always does." Luis answered ," Mama , i'm sorry , we can't. " Sheridan continued ," Luis is right. We have to find out where martin is. We just have to find a way to get in the mansion or Julian's office at Crane industries. " Ivy , then said ," Well i guess , that it is a good thing that Julian has a meeting out of town next week.

It is so easy to learn information from julian when he thinks i no longer visit the mansion and he leaves his library door open. It is a wonder how much you could find out. Hmmhmm, meeting .. out of town... next week.... away from crane industries ... away from the mansion." with a hint of sarcasm in her voice , and giving a cross glance to the couple whose attention she caught. Sheridan and Luis smiled and pilar said ," Ohh God, don't.. don't tell me , you're going to do what i think you're going to do. Please don't tell me.."

and luis replied ," Okay.. we won't tell you." Pilar sighed worrisome. She knew what luis and sheridan were getting themselves in to. Hours had gone by , where sheridan's family said their farewells. They were leaving the following morning before the sun would come up. Sheridan and luis thanked them for their love and support , and as the car drove away , they waved them goodbye. Within minutes , sheridan and luis were strolling in the house , wishing everyone a goodnight , and hand and hand , went off to bed.

Chapter 17 :

It was just after midnight , and the lopez fitzgerald house was quiet, just the cool wind rustling in the leaves. Luis was wishing his mother a goodnight once again. Sheridan sat at the edge of one side of the bed, dressed in a baby blue silk nightgown, staring down at the telephone on the side table , tempted to make a call. She lifted the phone in her hand , not being able to ignore the temptation , and dialed a number she knew so well.

After a few minutes of it ringing a familiar voice on the other end , announced," Yes , Julian Crane speaking." Sheridan hesitated to answer at first , then she said ," Julian , it's me , sheridan." Julian replied ," Yes , sheridan , what do you want ." Sheridan answered ," Why? Why julian. Firstly , you disown ethan , you've known him all his life , your own son , and now you disown me, your own sister , because i love luis."

Julian answered ," Sheridan , you looked for what you got, you wanted luis , well fine , but then you'll just have to live with the consequences. you can't have everything . You have luis , so you gave up any right you have to anything with the crane name , that includes the cottage , as well as your unlimited expence account , your name .. everything , even calling here. Sheridan , you are no longer a crane , so you are not permitted to call here again , neither will you be allowed on crane property again. "

Sheridan cried ," I never cared for the money or power julian, all i wanted was for my family to love me. Everyone was right about you and father. Not only are you ruthless , and despicable , but you are also evil. Luis was right. You and father are evil. " Julian nagged ," Ohh Sheridan , you don't mean that , boohooo, you poor child , You seem to forget that you were a crane too. You have Crane blood running through your veins.

If luis hates father and i so , then has'nt he considered , you , father and i share the same blood. We all have crane blood in our bodies. Your children will have crane blood in theirs. Has'nt luis thought of that fact. That by getting involved with you , marrying you , that his children , by you will have crane blood in them , the same blood of the people he claim to hate and despise."

Sheridan replied ," It is not the blood that flows within us that makes us evil julian. You and father are the way you are because you have no heart. No soul. You lived your lives without feeling , experiencing what love is like , real love. Well i do. Luis and i have that type of love. It won't matter if our children have crane blood flowing within their bodies , just as long as their hearts and souls are good and pure , is what really counts."

Julian sighed ," You know sheridan , i think having pilar firstly as the one who helped raised you , and our mother being so different from the rest of the cranes , and now pilar being your mother in law , you were poisoned against the family from birth , perhaps from conception. i guess you were always meant to be a thorn in this family. I'm saying this again sheridan , don't call here , or even come here , ever again. Or i can promise you , father will be even more displeased with you , ."

With that julian hung up the phone. Luis had just entered the room seeing sheridan wipe tears away from her cheeks , but before her pain could explode in an ocean of tears , luis pulled her within his warm loving embrace and held her close, then drawing both of them under the comforting softness of the bedsheets where they held each other , until they drifted off to sleep.

A week had gone by , by which , luisa had returned to work and to be greeted by a line of assignments that required his attention. Meanwhile , sheridan spent the time , without luis's knowledge , searching through the classifieds , for vacancy, job positions , which she may apply for. Even though her experience was very minimum , she was determined to make it work. She'll find a job and surprise luis , and making him proud was her goal. She knew he was proud of her , she knew he loved her.

He never failed one moment to tell her. And she loved him. But she always envied the women they knew who held a successful careers , to give added fullfillment in their life , and assist in supporting of their families. Eve , a qualified , professional doctor , though had made some downfalls in the past , had recovered , and her talent , and committment was very much recognised, Grace , managed her own bed and breakfast , as well as crafts store , and beth , manages the book cafe, and pilar , her own mother in law , god's gift to the cranes.

Their housekeeper , without her , they were nothing. everything she touched , turned beautiful. It was evidenced in the children she bore. Sheridan wished one day she'll be just like her. It was a daily routine for sheridan , for a week now. She and luis would wake , they would have coffee together , for breakfast , maybe eggs , muffins and fruit , then sheridan would go to the station with him , kiss him , then say goodbye , till later, where he would meet her and the book cafe.

Sheridan would then spend time at the bookcafe , with theresa, and she'll endulge in the classified ads section. she would inspect each one carefully , circle the possibilities , then make her visits. She would then spend time at the youth center , and help theresa plan her wedding. This one evening she and luis planned to meet at the book cafe , the sun had come down , pilar and aunt maria who had spent time with sheridan , sipping on hot chocolate, were getting ready to leave for home when sheridan felt a presence come up behind her , kiss her on her cheek , and as she turned .,she saw the smile of her beloved. She jumped up . and hugged him , and luis pulled her in a deeper kiss saying," Hey..., you ready?"

Sheridan nodded and sweeping her coat around her pilar inquired ," Where are you two going?" Luis answered ," Mama , did you forget. Tonight , sheridan and i are going to Crane industries. Julian left on his business trip. We have to take advantage of it. " Pilar said ," ohh goodness, dios mio.. i really wish you would'nt , i fear for you two." Sheridan kissed her cheek and said ," Don't worry we'll be fine.. gotta go." Pilar answered ," Well , be careful. Please be very careful." Luis answered ," We will." Then taking sheridan by the hand , the two whisked out of the bookcafe , leaving Pilar and aunt Maria watching them leave.

Chapter 18:

Luis and sheridan arrived at Crane Industries. As they walked along the lonely corridors , sneaking and tiptoing , nervously hiding at times behind corner walls , being careful so as not to get caught by any of the few night workers or guards that were on duty, . After awhile , they successfully entered the cold blackness of Julian's office. Luis pulled out his flash light , and both he and sheridan began to rummage through drawers and filing cabinets, then sheridan raised her head and said ," Luis , the only other place i could think of now is the archives."

Luis replied ," Remember what happened the last time we were there. And besides Julian destroyed the file they had on my father. " Sheridan nodded , " Yes , i remember. I also remember when i almost lost you. " Luis took her hands in his , gazing into her eyes , and said ," You would never lose me. There is nothing your father or brother can do now, or ever could have done. I love you , more than anyone or anything in my life. You know , that day , i kissed you on the warf , i knew in my heart , you were the one for me.

I felt the difference of being with you , and being with beth. When i'm with you , i like myself. I am able to be myself. I have never said those words to beth , or to any other girl but you. I love you. and nothing is going to change that. " He pulled her in a kiss which they got lost in for awhile , until they heard the sound of footsteps approaching the door to the office , and saw the knob being turned.

Luis pulled Sheridan behind the desk , and under the desk cove, to hide , as the door opened , and the footsteps strolled along the carpet, the stranger , checking the office , and replacing files in a certain cabinet, when the desktop phone rang, and the footsteps became louder as they approached closer and closer , then the person's voice saying ," Hello , Mr. Crane's Office." Then after a couple minutes , the voice woman's voice answered ," Yes , Mr. Crane , the enclosed file you requested for me to burn , i'm seeing about it now. "

Then ," Okay , Mr. Crane , I will. goodnight." After awhile the phone was placed back in it's socket holder , and the woman strolled over to julian's mini, fireplace , and through the file book , within the burning firment , then left the room. Luis immediately , at the sound of the door being clicked shut , jumped out from hiding , and helping sheridan to her feet , which caused her to sway as the room began to spin , and luis holding her before she could fall , with him saying ," Hey , hey , you okay ?"

And sheridan gave a half a smile replied ," huh? yes , yes , i'm fine. I can't believe after doing this so many times i'm still claustrophobic. i just felt a little dizzy , that's all. I'll be okay." Luis smiled , but with a concerned frown on his face said ," Well you just hold on to me ." Sheridan smiled and replied ," i will always . Boy that was close. I wonder what that woman put to burn." Luis answered ," Well let's see , it must be something big . " Luis immediately strolled over to the mini fireplace , using a poker , quickly plucked out the partially burned file book , and flipped through the pages, when sheridan cried," Luis , could we read this later , there is something about this place that gives me the creeps. As if someone is watching us. Please let's get out of here."

Luis answered," You're right. Who knows what hightech child's toy your brother or father may have here,. Come on , let's go." Luis , with his hand clasping sheridan's opened the door slightly and peeked out , then finding it clear, quickly and quietly lead sheridan along the carpetted corridor , around the bend ,down the back staircase , and out the back ground floor window , from which they first entered, then out the building .

Within minutes they were driving out of Crane Industries , both blowing sighes of relief , sheridan still clutching the soot covered , smoky scented book, and luis , reaching for her hand , as they drove through the harmony hills , with him saying ," You okay ." Sheridan replied ," My heart is beating a mile a minute. " Luis smiled back at her , then there was silence for the remaining of their journey home.

Chapter 19:

An Hour had gone by. Luis emerged from the bathroom , to see sheridan sitting on the bed , her back leaning against a propped pillow , her legs stretched out infront of her , and her eyes absorbed in the file book , they found at Crane industries . As she felt his presence , and eyes gazing upon her , she said ," Hey , ..... everyone's asleep . .. You know , there are so many employees names here , and there are receipts to go with almost every employee ." Luis joined her on the bed and inquired ," What kind of receipts."

Sheridan answered , " I'm not quite sure, but it seems that crane industries used to pay some medical , expences , and other receipts relating to it. " Luis became curious and asked ," Are there any for my father , ?" Sheridan flipped through some of the leaves of receipts , and also through the book for martin fitzgerald name. After a few minutes , she came upon , a page that was partially torn , with a piece missing , but the name at the top was clear. she flipped through the receipts on that page , and handed them to luis.

Luis's eyes danced on the receipts , and on the page and sighed ," Sheridan , honey i think we may have something , but there is a page attached here , but no inked words , but there is noticeable , indentating in the page to show that something was written on top. Tomorrow i'll have one of the guys at work pass it through the system , see if we could make out what it is. This might be it sheridan . We might finally find out what happened to my father. " He smiled at her in excitement , and pulled her in a hug , then sheridan said ," I do hope we find out something luis. We might find out where he is. "

Luis pulled himself a little way from her to gaze into her eyes ," You are so sweet for helping me with this. But you know. We might not find out the information right away. The problem with this is , it could take days , maybe weeks . I'll have them go through the book , maybe there is more on my father. And we'll have to confirm what we find out. It could take awhile." Sheridan answered," At least we'll know something." He sighed ," Yes!! " He then drew her close to him , and kissed her , than as the kiss broke , sheridan smiled and said ," Hmmm, i love you , so much ."

Luis replied ," I love you too. You know , we've had a long night. Let's just hold each other tonight hmm, you look tired , and let the soft music of the breeze , sing us to sleep." Sheridan , and luis sunk under the thick sheets , holding each other , sheridan's head nestled on luis's chest , holding hands , their eyes closed , as both drifted off to sleep , but meeting once again , together , in their dreams. A couple weeks had gone by , where Luis was still following up on the information they acquired.

One morning , Sheridan was running along the warf , hurrying to reach back home before luis left for work. This particular morning , she had woken early , and gone for her early morning jog , then stopping to purchase some of Luis's favourite Lobster rolls , to treat him for breakfast. She was so excited, to tell him her news. The FBI , and the Harmony DA , had contacted her , to let her know she had been considered for an employment position with the firm.

Ever since the Drug Cartel situation , ever since Agent freeman , walked into their lives, ever since the day sheridan , hank , agent freeman , and eve came to an agreement , regarding the FBI plan to lure Roger and Pierre out of hiding , and the deal going sour resulting in the plan turning deadly , causing sheridan to lose her life ,then her return through a line of surprising turn of events , into miracles. The FBI had kept their eye , on her. Though she was not highly qualified for the job , and though she had no training , the FBI thought she had done a remarkable job , in her attempt at pulling off one of the most difficult schemes against the Drug Cartel , than anyone else.

Her sacrifice was acknowledged. She knew what she was risking, her life , to better the one of the man she loved. She believed that with Roger and Pierre behind bars , the FBI would consider awarding luis for his services in protecting her , by presenting him with his life long dream. Becoming a detective. After speaking with agent freeman a couple weeks ago , he had informed her that Luis's case was being considered.

He also informed her that Harmony was getting a new DA , a woman who is highly intelligent , a professional and master at her craft , and a dedicated , high standard lawyer , with great attributes, with an addition of one thing that would make life simpler for sheridan. This woman was considered , as one who believed she worked for her country , not the people who believe that country and state was theirs.

Sheridan realised that her father and brother , were not appreciating the change in authority in this woman , the new DA , who considered herself for the people , and not for anyone else. And sheridan had been chosen to be her assistant. The DA , was pleased in learning about Sheridan Lopez Fitzgerald. Though she learnt that before marriage , sheridan was a crane , the dauther of the ruthless Alistair Crane , and the sister of Julin Crane , but sheridan gained great respect from Mrs. Kissinger.

The New DA. She learnt that unlike the rest of the Cranes , sheridan was different , her sweetness , sincerety , kind heart , beauty , and openess to love without discrmination , gave Mrs. Kissinger the want and incentive to like sheridan right away , and want her as an employee. Sheridan was to begin work within a couple weeks time , and since her work had also been said to be very demanding , like luis's job , she decided to spend as much time with her beloved as possible.

... Her hands held the box, with the lobster rolls , the warmth and freshness as well as delicious aroma filled the air and stirred a hunger within sheridan. She slowed down her pace slightly , to search in her waist band purse , for some change , to slip in the charity money box , outside the bookcafe ,when she accidently collided with someone coming from the opposite side. After a few minutes , she looked up and saw the familiar face of someone who had been out of town for months, the voice said ," Hey Sheridan" Then sheridan gave a slight smile and replied ," Hey... hank.. this is a surprise."

Chapter 20:

Hank smiled at her and said ," Hey , it's been awhile ." Sheridan replied ," almost eight months. " Hank answered ," Yeah , you look great!! sexy as usual." Sheridan chuckled ," well .. thanks" Hank added ," And happy. You look happy." Sheridan answered ," i am. I have never been happier." Hank inquired," Luis , you and luis , you guys , still together?" Sheridan glowed," Yes , we are. Actually , we're married ,"

Hank exclaimed ," Married!!. Man, you guys did'nt waste any time , did you." Sheridan answered ," actually we wasted too much time. Ethan and theresa are engaged , and luis and i are married." Hank sighed ," Wow , hmm, i did miss alot of things while i've been gone ," Sheridan replied ," Yes , you have" Just then her cell phone rang , and sheridan excused herself to answer it. She spoke with the person on the other end , then hanging up after awhile she said to hank," I wish i could talk longer , but i have to get going. I got a job with the District Attourney , and i was supposed to start next week , but she just called. She needs me out today. Hmm , and i wanted to surprise luis with a special breakfast before he left for work.'

Hank asked ," Work?? you are working. well things have changed. How does luis feel about his wife working?' Sheridan answered," Ohh well he does'nt know yet. so many things have happened, in the past months. But it was only a couple days now that i knew i got the job. Besides, i want to surprise luis. I was thinking of working for a couple days , before i tell him. I want to make sure the job is a definate thing.

Anyway , hank , i really can't stay. I have got to get back home , take a shower and dress for work. Umm if you want to see luis , maybe you can catch him at the station about midday. " Hank replied ," Okay , sure , no problem." Sheridan said ," Anyway , great to see you. take care." Hank nodded , as sheridan strolled away . An hour later , after breakfast , luis jumped up from his seat and planted a kiss on sheridan's lips saying ," thankyou for breakfast. i loved it . and i love you." Sheridan glimmered. She loved him more and more as the days went by . She smiled and replied ," Your welcome , and i love you too. I know how much you love lobster rolls."

Luis answered ," I love you more." He stooped down , and gazed up into her eyes and continued ," I'm blessed being married to you. I'm so lucky." Sheridan replied ," I'm lucky too. I'm happy luis. i am very happy. You make me happy." Luis answered ," And you.. me." Then Pilar interrupted ," You two make up your mine. Either luis go to work so you could come back to her early , or call in sick today, and spend the day with her ,"

Sheridan jumped to her feet and said hugging up to luis , his arm about her , she said ," You know , though i would love for you to stay with me , for the day , i think you should go to work. And you can come home early. You missed so much working hours for me already . " Luis answered ," You're right. But i promise i'll come home early. I hate spending time away from you." Sheridan replied ," i hate it too." Luis pulled her in a kiss , then one last one , before he left for work.

In the months that had gone by since he pulled sheridan from the coffin. Since her coming back to him , not once ha luis mentioned hank's name , and at first she was skeptical towards telling him about his arrival back in harmony and their meeting that morning , but when she finally told him , luis hardly said anything , and he decided to change the topic, since it seemee very sensitive still to mention hank's name after everything that had happened.

As luis's car drove off sheridan immediately ran upstairs to dress for work. Pilar folled her and sheridan excitedly revealed the secret about her job. Pilar's happiness and excitement for sheridan was very evident , and sheridan explained she wanted to keep it from luis until she was sure that her job was a sure thing , and financially she and luis , as well as everyone else in the family , would be okay. Pilar agreed , and within half an hour sheridan was dressed and on her way out the door , to work, with the DA's office being half an hour away from the station house.

Chapter 21:

Many hours had gone by, and it was finally three o' clock. Sheridan was clearing her desk for the evening , when Mrs. Kissinger knocked on her door , and entered saying ," Sheridan. You did quite well today. I was very impressed by your first day of work. ." Sheridan replied ," Really? I was worried. I made so many mistakes , with some of your files and i thought i messed up., and..." Mrs. Kissinger interrupted saying ," Hey , it was your first day. These things happen. Tomorrow , you'll be more settled in. Don't worry. Ohh , by the way , I'm shifting your duties slightly.

I have a new assignment for you. The child welfare league has asked me , to help them in a couple projects, but i am swamped with work , so i was thinking , maybe you'll like to do it." Sheridan smiled and answered ," Child Welfare league , i did'nt know the Harmony DA was involved in those things." Mrs. Kissinger replied ," Honey , now that i am DA , we are going to be involved in alot of things. So what do you say. And don't tell me you don't know anything about things like that. It is a couple of fundraising ventures , you'll be in charge of, get the entire town involved , whatever, but i know you can do it.' Sheridan excitedly answered ," i'd love to."

Mrs . kissinger , this stocky middle aged woman , very friendly and easy to talk to , nodded her head , and said ," Good. I'll let them know. You may start tomorrow... Ohh by the way. Someone is here to see you. I think they came to take you home." Sheridan curiously inquired ," Really? Who?? I brought my own car with me ." Mrs.Kissinger replied ," I think it is your sister in law. Theresa i think her name is.

" Sheridan answered ," Yes!! , is she outside?" Mrs. Kissinger nodded , and sheridan picking up her bag , went through the corridors followed by her boss , .. around the bend , then sheridan saw her standing at the waiting desk. After meeting her , and introducing theresa to her , sheridan said her goodbyes , then both she and theresa strolled down the long staircase, and on reaching the landing , sheridan swayed slightly. Theresa taking her by her arm , said ," sheridan , you okay."

Sheridan raised her drained looking eyes, to look into theresa's saying ," Yes!! I'm fine , just missed lunch today. And my day was really ,. how would i put it... exciting. My first day at work." Theresa replied ," Well you should have had lunch. If you'll like we could stop at Sally's or at the bookcafe for something. " Sheridan answered ," No , no , thanks. I'll have something when i get home. I just want to get home before Luis does. He does'nt know i am working. I was planning on teling him tonight , since now i know definately i have this job. "

Theresa smiled and replied ," Okay. Well first i need to get something at the pharmacy, i'll drive , if you'll like you can wait in the car. I promise i won't take long." Sheridan agreed , and within minutes , they had arrived at the pharmacy , and just as theresa promised , she quickly purchased what she needed to , then had returned to the car , where they were now driving , on their way home. As Sheridan stepped out of the car, theresa handed her the blue pharmacy bag , and said ," This is for you. "

Sheridan beamed her a smile and replied ," For me ,? what is it ?" Theresa answered ," Take it out and see." Sheridan curiously placed her hand in the bag , and took out the contents , which was a rectangular shaped box , and reading the inscription , said ," You've got to be kidding right. ? Come on theresa , you're joking , tell me you're joking." Theresa answered ," Does it look as if i'm joking.? Come on. try it." Sheridan replied ," Theresa , it is a home pregnancy kit. "

Theresa chuckled ," Yes!! it is. Sheridan i swear , sometimes i wonder about you. Both you and luis. Sheridan , for days now you've been "swaying by accident" remember you told me you got dizzy , when you and luis went to Mr. Crane's office." Sheridan answered ," My claustrophobia." Theresa continued ," And what about the other day. Mama , made your favourite for breakfast , Eggs Benedict , and then for lunch she made enchiladas for lunch , you got quezzy , just looking at them. ohh and this morning , you brought the lobster rolls , you hardly touched it. .. Come on sheridan. Take the test. You are pregnant ."

Sheridan gazed in her eyes , and nodded her head , then both walking inside the kitchen , from the garden door , and into the living room , , sheridan was surprised with a not very welcoming face , Luis's eyes pierced hers , and she knew something was wrong. Sheridan stuffed the bag with the pregnancy kit in her bag , and theresa excusing herself , sheridan saying ,"Luis , is something wrong." Luis gazed at her , his eyes , not cold , neither angry , but full of mystery. Luis went over to her , took her hands , and lead her to sit on the couch saying ," Sheridan , i thought we were going to be totally honest with each other."

Sheridan replied ," Of course we are, why , what happened ." Luis answered ," Why did'nt you tell me you were working. Why did'nt you tell me you had a job." Sheridan replied ," Luis , It was only definate today. i did'nt want to make a big deal out of it , in case i did'nt get it." Luis said ," I thought we agreed that when the time is right , we'd discuss it. Sheridan , i don't want you to feel obligated , that you should have a job. I promised you i would take care of you, of the family ." Sheridan answered ," I know , but i just wanted to help. " Luis replied ," Don't you trust i'll be able to provide for all of us?" Sheridan confessed ," Luis , i did'nt think it was a big deal. I wanted to be able to help out financially. I thought you'd be happy."

Luis then answered ," Sheridan , i have always looked upon my mother as a wonderful , hardworking woman , but i never believed she should have to work , but i knew if she did'nt work we would starve. That is the only reason i accepted her working , after papa left , even after i kind of became the head." Sheridan sighed ," well , maybe you were the head too long to realise you and i , as a couple , we are equal. I have had enough of staying home. I want to be your partner in everything , and that also means contributing to the family."

Luis answered ," As i said , the only reason i let mama work is to help provide for theresa and miguel , anyway , next time you decide on something , share it with me first , before i hear it from a grape vine. " With that luis stampered out the room , and slammed the door behind him. Sheridan tried to run after him , but a slight nudge in her tummy , stopped her , and pilar , coming from behind the corner , said ," Sheridan , honey , don't worry. it is not you he is angry with. He is happy you have a job , if it is what makes you happy , it's just , it's just , those files , you found at mr. crane's office , everything came up empty.

Luis is just disappointed there were no leads. " Sheridan answered ," I .. i understand. Searching for martin is very important to him. he has waited so long , and we really thought we got somewhere when we found the login books." Theresa then said ," Sheridan , luis will be fine , you go , take the test , i'm sure the results will make you feel better." Sheridan gazed at the box as she took it out of the bag , then nodded her head , and leaving the room. Pilar , turned and asked theresa ," What test."

Theresa answered ," Mama , prepare yourself. You're about to find out you are going to be a grandmother." Pilar's shocked face sent her into silence. Moments went by , and sheridan emerged from her bathroom , gazing into the eyes of pilar and theresa , who had now settled on her bed awaiting news of the results. Sheridan raised the strip for them to see, the positive result ,. and her shaking hand covering her mouth , with pilar jumping off the bed to hug her.

Theresa too hugged her , then said ," Sheridan , go and tell luis. Go down to the station and tell him now. Do it." Sheridan smiled , tears running down her cheeks , and picking up her bag , and putting on her coat , she took up her car keys , and strolled out the door.

Chapter 22:

The cool late evening air, mingled , the night was drawing close , and sheridan, stood on the warf , overlooking the calm waters. She had been there for ten minutes. She had been nervous calling luis , asking him to meet her there. She did'nt know how to tell him. How do you tell the man you love , the man that loves you , the man who shared the same dreams that you did , that another of those dreams were coming true.

It had been one hour since she took the test, the positive red line kept on flashing in her memory. It had been half an hour ago , Dr. Russell , confirmed it. Actually eve hardly hesitated. She knew seeing sheridan in her office , at an awkward time could only mean one thing, and eve confirmed it. The surprising thing is , Sheridan learnt she was more farther along than she suspected. She was eight weeks pregnant, and it was news that shocked her. The symptoms were there , but she had ignored it , and passed it off as a result of stress. Now she knew the truth.

She saw women , with their children pass her by , or sometimes a complete family. And she would envision her and luis with their children. After a few moments she heard a voice behind her saying ," Sheridan." Sheridan turned and saw luis coming closer. He took her hands in his and gave her a brief kiss saying ," Hey.." Sheridan sighed ," Hey.. I'm glad you came ."

Luis replied ," I finished off some paper work and came as soon as i can. I'm off for the rest of the night. Is everything okay?" Sheridan answered," Yes.. everything is fine." Luis then said ," Good, i'm glad. umm, sheridan, please forgive me, for my behavior earlier on. I did'nt mean to snap at you." Sheridan smiled and replied ," I know , .." Luis then continued ," i have just been so stressed lately , you know , trying to find out something about papa's disappearance. But i keep coming up empty, and my failure to find something , is just , driving me crazy. ."

Sheridan confessed ," Luis , you have been working so hard , for us. for all of us. And then trying to find martin. It's wearing you out." Luis sighed ," I know. You know , i'm glad you got the job. Your boss is a lucky person. spending almost every hour with you. " Sheridan chuckled," My boss is a woman. middleaged woman, very kind , friendly. She uhh , she assigned me to some projects in raising funds for the child welfare league." Luis excited , hugged her and exclaimed ," But that is great. " Sheridan answered," isn't it. something i think i could really do well. "

Luis replied ," You'll do great!!." Sheridan smiled , and luis turned her around so her back was leaning against his chest. His arms about her waist, her hands covering his , her head almost resting back on his shoulder, and sheridan confessing ," I want to do so well with this job luis. " Luis answered," You'll do wonderfully. Don't worry. " Sheridan smiled and replied ," Hmm, you know , i was thinking , luis , remember before we were married , before we got together , do you remember all the dreams we both had that we shared with each other. All the hopes and dreams we had for our own life?"

Luis answered," Hmm hmm," Sheridan continued ," Have you thought about those dreams lately?" Luis replied ," Well , somewhat. All my dreams came true , did'nt it. I married you." Sheridan confessed ," But marrying ... me , was'nt the only thing in that dream." Luis answered ," I know." Sheridan , smiled secretly. She knew what was coming next. She knew what she wanted to tell him. Then she said ," Well another of our dreams is coming true. Actually , it has come true ." Luis curiously inquired, with a chuckle ," What .. what are you talking about." Sheridan smiled. With her back facing him , her head barely resting on his shoulder, he could'nt see the smile she had.

She unwrapped his arms from around her , and taking one of his hands , opened his fingers out , spreading them , then , with her hand covering the back of his , she placed his hand over her tummy, and sighed ," This dream , luis , it won't be your sister's or brother's diaper you'll be changing. They are adults now , so you'll be changing someone else's diaper." Luis then loosed the embrace he had around her and cried ," A .. a baby." Sheridan turned , to gaze into the dark pools of his eyes., and said ," hmm hmm. " Luis chuckled ," now don't kid with me know. is it true ."

sheridan replied ," Well according to a positive pregnancy test , and a visit to eve , yes!!"" Luis pulled her in his embrace and sighed," ooohh , this is , wonderful ." Sheridan commented ," So , you're happy, right??" Luis answered ," Are you kidding , i'm excited , thrilled ," Sheridan confessed ," I'm happy too. And i'm a little nervous. And the great thing about my new job , it is not a daily , hourly thing. Eve said after what happened to me last year , i should take it easy." Luis replied ," And she's right. You know , i'm too excited to stay out here , and it's getting very cold.Let's go home..."

Sheridan smiled at him , and luis continued ," I love you ." Sheridan answered ," I love you too. so very much." He kissed her for a brief moment , before surprising her , picking her off the ground , holding her , and dancing around the warf with her before heading for their car. While in the car , luis driving , he inquired ," Do you feel okay. " Sheridan smiled and nodded ," Actually i do. The cold night air seemed to help too. maybe before it was just anxiety finding out ."

Luis then said ," Does mama and the others know ," Sheridan confessed," Actually both her and theresa were there when i took the test. They probably told the others by now. " Luis then said ,"I think they have waited for this for a long time," Sheridan confesses ," So have i, but until you came into my life , i thought it would never happen. Now it's a dream come true ." Luis then answered ," For me too. " After a few moments Sheridan cried ," Ohh , i .. i just thought about how my father and julian are going to react when they find out."

Luis chuckled ," well when they do , they'll probably spend the time bashing each other over it." Sheridan smiled ," Yeah.. ohh well that is too bad for them. What matters is you and me. I'm so excited luis." Luis chuckled , " me too." He turned to smile at her , then bending towards her kissed her for a brief moment , before returning his attention to his driving. Sheridan was thrilled , know word could describe the feelings she had , and the thoughts , were amazing , but behind it all julian and alistairs reaction , haunted her.

Chapter 23:

Months had gone by and all of Harmony gathered at the Park for a Family Day. The Sun was blazing it's glory , the air was cool , and the sky was comfortable soft blue. The teenagers and harmony men were playing football , in a short distance away, and the women , sat on picnic mats around each other , chatting about work , and family , and most , more interested in Sheridan and her new job. Just a week before she had organized and hosted a charity carnival as part of her fund raising ventures for the assignments she was given. And it turned out to be a big success.

The turnout was unbelievable. She gained great support from the locals, their love and acceptance of her knowing she was formerly Alistair Crane's daughter, Julian Crane's sister , the two most despised men in harmony , possibly the world, did'nt seem to matter. She gained great respect because of the deep love she had for one of their own , giving up everything to be like them for the opportunity of love. She attended school functions , became a member of the PTA , though not having had yet a child , but felt obligated for the near future. Even Beth seemed to support her , donating items for stalls , and offering her services , was a surprising joy for her.

Now on this beautiful midday, seven months pregnant , sheridan , dressed in a floral capri , pants , a soft , white, cool spaghetti strap, inner vest , and pink cotton three quarter sleeve overtop, and a pair of neat comfortable white sandals , leaned back , on one hand , and the other resting on the curve of her swollen tummy, enjoying the glory of the sunshine, and smiling in the direction of the man she loved dearly.

After a few minutes , Pilar , theresa and whitney joined her on the mat , with theresa handing her a glass of lemonade, and sheridan saying ," Isn't this a woonnderful day. the sky is so beautiful , the sun is shining , what more can we ask for ." Pilar answered," It is a beautiful day." Theresa added," Itwould be better if ethan and i did'nt have to delay the wedding for awhile , while he was away on business." Sheridan answered ," Don't worry , he'll be back soon. In the meantime , you could help me with the baby's nursery." Theresa chuckled," You mean babies' nursery."

Then theresa continued ," Yes , i know... " Sheridan inquired ," How , how do you know. Luis said we were keeping it as a surprise." Theresa and pilar glanced at eve who then said ," I .. i thought they knew. I'm sorry. Yesterday, when i saw them i asked them how you were going , and it kinda slipped , I really thought they knew about the twins." Sheridan smiled then replied ," Well guess it's out now. " Theresa answered ," But sheridan it's great news. Twins . "

Sheridan answered ," I know , i could'nt believe it myself . We went for my normal appointment. Eve did the ultra sound , she saw two heartbeats , that was the first time , then now there are two bodies. Three blessings , in one. Luis and i are together and now we're expecting twins , it's unbelievable." Theresa and pilar smiled , then after a few minutes , it seemed theresa and sheridan's little conversation became headline news , chattering among the women , to the playing field , brought everyone closer , on learning the latest news.

After a few minutes , a phone call came in on luis's cell phone , and sheridan quickly took it out of his jacket to answer it. The voice on the other end says ," Could you tell Officer Lopez Fitzgerald , that we have some information he has been inquiring about concerning his father and his connection with Crane Industries and Mr Alistair and Mr Julian Crane. " Sheridan nervously frowned and inquired ," What information. " The Woman said ," Mrs . Lopez Fitzgerald , it is important information that we are trying to keep , secure, Your husband has been searching for , we have it. "

Sheridan again asked ," What information , who are you." The woman said ," Ma'am, i know what could have happened to your father in law. The same thing happened to my husband many years ago. Listen , i can't talk long , but please tell your husband i might be able to help him and give him my number. he can contact me , anytime , but the sooner the better." Sheridan hurried down the number on a piece of paper , and tucked it into her bag, then said her goodbyes.

After a couple minutes a familiar voice came up behind her , wrapped his arms around her so the palm of his hands lay flat on her tummy , his head tucked in the space between her shoulder and the side of her head , in the openess of her neck and said ," Hey , you okay." Sheridan smiled and covered his hands with hers then replied," Hmmhmm, you want to go for a walk ," Luis smiled and replied ," Would love too." She carefully , got up off the mat , with luis's help , then both walked off in the cool , embrace of the breeze when sheridan said ," Luis , when did you start back searching for information about martin.

I know you had put it off for awhile , but you never told me you were starting back." Luis answered ," Only just recently. I decided to try something different and was waiting for a lead , Why?? how , did you know ." Sheridan answered ," Because just now , someone called on your cell , for you , about it. They gave me a number for you to call. It's in my bag." Luis answered ," Okay , thanks. Sheridan , i was going to tell you , it's just i did'nt know if , i'll get anywhere , so i did'nt want to get our hopes up."

Sheridan stood closely to him , facing him , her hands on either side of his waist , and she gazed into his eyes saying ," Luis , i want to do this with you. Help you. We are a team remember. Always were and always will be. " Luis smiled and answered ," I remember , but this is dangerous ." Sheridan answered ," Well remember, when i married you , i embraced everything , i promised i would and i do. Where you go , i go. Just remember i want to help you.

" Luis smiled and pulled her in his embrace , and he chckled sarcastically ," I think we have been watching too much TV, having the entire family involved with this. One day our children might even accompany us , when i have a case , they might end up being my little private detectives , if you have anything to say about it." Sheridan laughed ," Well , if it is the only way we could keep each other safe , we'll all stay close. "

Luis said ," How i love you." Sheridan answered ," I love you too , so very much." luis kissed her then said ," Hey , let's go back , so i could make that call." Luis taking her hand , started to walk off , but sheridan halted him saying ," Could we have lunch first , cause you know when you get started with that , nothing could keep you from following through with your leads ,"

Luis came back to her , smiled and replied ," Now that's where you are wrong." His hands and fingers interlocked with hers , sheridan said ," I am" Luis answered , teasing her ," Nothing could keep me from making love to you. " Sheridan chuckled moving in for a kiss and saying ," Ohh i know that. Look what it gave us ." Luis answered ," And what a beautiful sight it is ." He kissed here once more before leading her back to the picnic, and their friends and family.

Chapter 24:

Later tht evening , sheridan stood , looking over into the darkness of the ocean a distance away , just the harbor lights , adding a twinkling of brightness , the air cool , and family and friends saying their goodnights and preparing to make their way home. After a few minutes , Sheridan felt , the warmth of a shawl being draped around her shoulders , and turned to recieve a kiss from the man she loved. She smiled at him and inquired," Hey , got through with returning the call?"

Luis nodded and replied ," I , have to go , meet her." Sheridan replied ," ohh , well where?, When?" Luis answered ," Tonight, within the hour. I have an address." sheridan says ," But , Luis , tonight?? And , umm , can you trust this woman?? We don't know anything about her." Luis replied ," Well , i guess we'll just have to check." Sheridan answers," Well , okay , let's go." Luis shook his head and said ," no sheridan ,i am going alone." Sheridan sighed," What , ?" Luis confesses ," Sheridan , as you said , we don't know who this person is. I think it will be better if i go alone." Sheridan replied ," No , i'm going with you. "

Luis takes her hands in his and says ," Sheridan , please don't fight me on this one. Look it has been a long day. You have been working extra hard in the past couple weeks, you should go home , and rest. " Sheridan answers ," Luis , it is sweet you are worrying about me , but don't, i'm fine. Just because i'm pregnant , does'nt mean , i should just sit by and do nothing, i want to come with you. Remember we were going to do this together ." Luis took a deep breath , it was hard winning an argument with her. She was as stubborn as he was. And to him , that was one of the reasons he fell in love with her.

Their passion , love , and obvious chemistry did'nt only exist in each other , or through their lovemaking , but through their arguments as well. And luis found it hard at times to resist her, or deny her anything, though she hardly asked for much. Luis replied ," Sheridan , don't fight me on this. I don't want us to argue over this, i don't want us to argue at all." Sheridan answers ," Good , me neither , so , let's go." She strolls off , in front of him , not waiting for him to reply to her. She was'nt doing this for him alone , but for herself too . Maybe this mysterious woman , knows something , that could help them. And sheridan wanted to be present.

She knew Martin's disappearance has haunted luis for years , and his beliefs that her family , were involved , and his public accusations , provided alistair , with the hunger to ensure luis and sheridan would never be together. She knew , now that they were, happy , together , building a life together , alistair may try to make power his , and stop to no lengths, to protect himself , and his stature , and securing what he considered his , the Crane Dynasty.

She knew she and luis will always be a target for Alistair's wrath , which proved very clearly , his guilt , and an abundance of illegalities, which can damage the Crane's reputation of power , money , and dynasty , which could cause it to come tumbling down. And luis learning the truth , could just be the dynamite that causes it.

Luis was like a puppy with a chew toy. He nibbled and nibbled at it and as the hunger grew , he grovelled at it ,and won't let his building hunger , fade away to just a craving. She has watched him , day after day , might after night , moment by moment , after knowing him for two years now , that the emptiness inside to know the truth was eating at him. And she wanted to help him, for both their sakes.

Luis followed her without arguing. Them getting into the car , and luis driving through the harmony hills , towards an unknown destination. At least Pilar and the others were offered a ride home by grace. Within an hour , luis and sheridan arrived at the given address. It was a quaint little house , tucked away , in the depth of the hills , and trees, more like a mountain cabin. Their nerves were getting to them. What to expect?? Was she to be trusted?? Was it safe.??"

Were all questions they asked themselves. The house was dark , or it appeared to be. Sheridan and luis stepped out of the car , and strolled hand in hand closer to it , till a voice from behind startled them," I was wondering how long it would take for you to come. You came for answers , and before you leave here , you'll get them." Sheridan and luis glanced at this person , then at each other , pulling sheridan closer to him , as their nerves build a tower of anxiety.

Chapter 25:

Luis and sheridan stood there , gazing in nervousness at this middleaged woman. The lady then said ," Well , don't stand there , i took a chance inviting you, come in." Luis held sheridan's hand and cautiously followed the woman inside the neat house , a fire roaring in the embedded, embrace of the stone fireplace. , she invited them to sit , and offered them coffee, then sat opposite them , gazing at luis. She smiled and said ," So , you are martin fitzgerald son, i've heard so much about you." luis curiously inquired ," you knew my father." The woman nodded and replied ," I met him. He and my husband , were friends and they worked together for Mr. Crane. I also heard about you from around. This is not exactly a large town . "

She then stood and strolled over to sheridan , sat in a very nearby stool chair , and smiled at sheridan saying ," And you , you are , the unhappy princess, miss sheridan. My husband told me about you too. You are the the little girl george spoke of , the beautiful princess , with a innocence and love in her heart and eyes , yet still a painful unhappy childhood. I can see that your unhappy childhood past , has been healed somewhat. I'm surprised your father allowed you to marry little luis, " Luis asked ," You know my name?" The woman who introduced herself as Nora replied ," yes , of course. "

sheridan also said ," My father was against us marrying , but he could'nt stop us." The woman then said ," Hmm , well i knew your mother too. when i first met her , i thought it , strange for such a wonderful , kind hearted woman , to be married to such a cold ruthless man. You took after her, . My husband would tell me of this girl who was like a princess , beautiful , wealthy in material things but not in love." Luis interrupted ," Well i see you've done your homework. You know alot about us , but we are at a disadvantage , "

The woman smiled slightly , then leaned back in her chair , sipped at her coffee , then began to relay , a story that seemed somewhat familiar to luis. Her husbands almost secretive work duties he did for Alistair , late hours , and that late night phone call. All seemed to similar. Then her husbands untimely disappearance. Luis sat back in his chair , his hand resting on his forehead , in total oblivion. Sheridan on the other hand was more in shock. She felt a lump in her throat, and chills went up and down her spine, like an elevator.

Then Nora said ," One night , i overheard my husband on the phone talking. I gathered it was a conversation with Mr. Crane. It was very strange. Then he left home , for a couple hours. While he was out , i decided to see if i could find out anything, He kept this journal, much like a diary , but not as detailed , more sketchy , information. " She handed him the book that lay on the nearby table. I found it in a trunk he had , under the bed.

Then continued ," The gist of what i read was that Mr. Crane has been involved in some major , unlikely business associates , as well as a couple of the most high handed mob families in the country. Now to me it looks as if my husband was just gathering information and proof. He was not involved in mr. Crane's mob dealings. anyway , i'm thinking maybe , Mr. crane found out my husband's suspicions and dealt with the matter. And then i realised after reading it , maybe the same thing happened to your father. He learnt information that he should'nt have. Information that could destroy the crane's.

Luis in awe and wander said ," So you think my father found out something that could literally destroy the crane's. " Nora replied ," Why do you think they did'nt want you and sheridan together. " Sheridan replied ," What luis and i being together has to do with this." Nora replied ," You don't remember , do you." Sheridan inquired ," Remember what??" Nora answered," my husband , together with luis's parents , were planning to expose the crane's, but they did'nt want you to get hurt.

Their plan , was to take you somewhere , where you'd be safe. You knew about it. Look , not only was your father involved with this mob thing , but he made a deal with one of the families , in exchange for a high amount of power, and first class, dealings , you were going to be calateral. Your father was more than happy to get rid of you for the power and money , he could have. It was as if you were going to be sold off to the highest bidder. " Luis then said ," Wait , wait , you said parents , not just my father , but my parents. They both were involved?"

Nora answered ," Yes , your mother too. She did'nt know much really , only that sheridan's life was in danger. You see , when your mother went to work for the Crane's , when Mrs. Crane , married the young Mr. Crane, your mother learnt , from the first Mrs. Crane , that the first mrs. crane, Miss Sheridan's mother , well let's say , she had a huge chunk of authority over Mr. Alistair , that she was afraid to use, which when she died , was turned over to /miss Sheridan. Something , you did'nt know about.

Your father saw to it you did'nt. he feared if you learned about it all his dealings and everything will tumble and ou'll have control of Crane industries and all the power that came with it. Your life was dangerous to him.Anyway , Luis , your mother , confided in Sheridan that she was going away somewhere nice , somewhere safe and happy , but she was not to tell anyone. " Sheridan , flashed back to that night. Her being happy , the first tme in her life" I remember now. I was happy. For the first time in my life , since after my mother died , i was happy."

Then Nora continued ," Yes, then something went wrong. the Crane's found out the plan , my husband , never came home , and neither did your father return either. well , when this particular mob family , learnt that they were on the brink of being destroyed becauise of their association with Mr. Crane , they called off the deal, and there was no more exchange. " Sheridan's eyes , watered with tears , and she slowly stood to her feet, then began to cry ," so , i was just a possible business deal for my father. From childhood , i was just a proposition. All this time , i had the power and authority over my father and brother. I had the highest ability to help this town.

And my father felt so threatened , he wanted the money and power for himself, he did'nt care of anyone else. So , he had a choice , offer me as a piece of meat to a family who did'nt care about me , or kill me, to regain control completely of the family business. Good God!! I don't believe this." Luis stood immediately , and held her in his embrace. when Nora said ," I'mm, sorry , maybe i should'nt have said anything." Sheridan wiped her tears away , then said ," No , no , it's alright. I'm , i'm glad you told me. We needed to know." Nora then said ," Umm, could i get you anything , would you like to lie down a little.?/" Sheridan replied, accepting a glass of water from her ," Noo , no , i'm .. i'll be fine , thankyou."

Nora asked ," How far along are you?" Sheridan smiled , saying ," seven months. twins." Nora chuckled ," Twins?? Your first?" Sheridan and luis nodded , then sheridan answered," Yes, we are lucky." Luis answered ," Very, very lucky, " smiling at sheridan. nora then said ," Okay , i know yoy think i may know everything about you , but i don't. I only know that you met two years ago , nd that it was'nt exactly love at first sight." Luis guided sheridan back to the sofa, and sheridan answered," No , it was'nt. But things changed." Nora then said ," I know that your family interefered in your relationship, i heard they hired someone to impersonate luis to make you think he was just using you , to keep you to apart. "

Sheridan nodded,"Yes , They really knew me. Luis nd i had just started in a relationship , when they did that , so i was vulnerable. " Nora then answered," They did'nt even care to hurt your feelings. But they were trying to keep you two apart to prevent you from learning any information that could destroy them." She paused then continued ," But i could tell , you really love each other. You always have. Hmm , it pleases me that your family failed at something , keeping you two apart. And nolw you are welcoming two young ones."

Sheridan smiled , and replied ," Thankyou. Luis and i do love each other, very much. I can't wait for the babies to be born. Having children is something i have always wanted, and luis has fullfilled all of my dreams." Nora answered ," You are so unlike Mr. Crane. You are so much like your mother. She too believed in love , and she too wanted lots of children, but she did'nt find out she'd be highly disappointed until after she married your father. You'd make a wonderful mom. " Sheridan replied ," I hope so. You know finding true love , and marrying my true love , having lots of children with him were always my dreams , and luis made each one of them come true.

Nora smiled," Ohh that is so wonderful." Then her expression changed and she sighed ," Well , i hope you two find what you are looking for , but let me warn you. If Mr. Crane finds out , what you found out , you could be in alot of trouble, so please , be careful. There is no telling what he'll do." Luis aanswered ," Don't worry , we will be , " Then getting up from his seat , followed by sheridan , he contiued ," Thankyou so much for your help. We'll keep in touch,."

The woman nodded , then as sheridan and luis were walking out , Nora , went to sheridan and said ," Listen , you are a beautiful , wonderful woman , your mother would be proud. Be happy , okay. Now you have luis , your brother or father cannot hurt you. Just both of you , promise me you'll be careful." Luis answered ," We promise."

Then they strolled out the door , and towards the car , hopping into it , then before luis could drive off , Nora said ," The book has alot of information , some i don't even understand , keep it. it will help you. And next time, if you come to visit me , take the back road. It will be safer. I don't trust Mr. Crane , he has his people all over this damn town. " Luis and sheridan nodded , and then drove off in the darkness of the night , with only the twinkling of the few stars in the sky , to shed a hint of light.

Chapter 26:

Half an hour later , sheridan and luis strolled along the warf , on their way to Sally Chin's restaurant. Sheridan seemed totally lost in her own thoughts , when luis commented," Thinking about tonight , are'nt you. And about everything Nora said " sheridan gave a faint smile and replied ," hmm , yes , would'nt you. I mean everything she said ..." she paused , and luis continued ," And the book her husband wrote , it has much more than she told us. "

Sheridan then turned to him sayung ," luis i'm scared. i'm scared of what more we'll find." luis answered ," Don't be , i'm here, and we'll stick together through this ," luis glanced in the restaurants window and saw pilar , theresa , ethan being served by Sally. Then luis continued," Hey , mama is here. we could tell her everything we found out and ask her what she knew. If nora is right , mama , knows alot more than she is willing to admit. " Sheridan nodded , and luis took her hand and lead her through Sally's front door, to be greeted by an attendant.

Before the attendant , could take sheridan and luis to a table , Sally came hopping across to them . Sheridan and luis had'nt been to Sally's in months , and though she knew of their engagement , and marriage , sheridan's pregnancy was a surprise to her. She greeted the couple with hugs and kisses , and said ," I missed you two coming by. I hope to see you more often in here, would you like to sit with your mother luis , or would you guys like a separate table." Luis answered ," ohh we'll sit together."

Sally nodded , then leading them to the table with pilar , ethan and theresa who welcomed them excitedly , sally said ," Pilar , i brought your entire family here. You never told me you were going to be a grandma." Pilar smiled as sheridan sat beside her , then replied ," you did'nt know?? Yes , in less than three months , i'm going to be a grandma , to twins."

Sally exclaimed ," Twins?? Well this is amazing news. You know what , to celebrate , i'm going to treat all of you to a Sally's special dinner. " Theresa chatered ," ohh sally , that'll be great , since we have'nt ordered yet." Sheridan smiled and said ," Thankyou Sally." Sally nodded and left , then pilar gazed at sheridan and luis and inquired ," Did , you guys , get through?? " Sheridan glanced at luis , who then said ," uum , yeah... well i guess we should tell you."

Luis started to relate everything he and sheridan were told , including the book they were given. Then luis said ," Mama , did you know anything about this. it is a time to be honest now." Pilar glanced at sheridan , luis , then from theresa to ethan. Theresa , then seeing pilar's hesitation to answer , said ," mama , are yousaying that everything , it's all true.??"

Pilar answered ," Look , ever since i started working for the cranes , there were alot of things i heard. Katherine , Sheridan's mother .. well , the truth is , from what i understand , the crane's were having some , financial problems. Alistair , he was umm friendly with katherine's family, who had alot of money. Upon marrying Katherine Alistair and the Crane business , was once again , on top , katherine brought alot of wealth to the crane's. When sheridan was born , most of that wealth that katherine still had in her name , was turned over to sheridan, the money , katherine had aswell as whatever power she got from her own family was to be sheridan's one day. The day sheridan married ,"

Sheridan stopped chewing her food as pilar mentioned that. Then luis said ," Are you saying that , sheridan's mother , signed over everything to sheridan , which sheridan will only recieve on her wedding day, the title and everything." Pilar nodded ," Yes , that is one of the reasons why , i think Alistair did'nt want you to marry, Upon her marriage , sheridan has the capability of over throwing alistair and julian , and acquiring the family business as her own."

Ethan then said ," so , you could say they were stealing the business away from sheridan." Pilar added ," Yes , look sheridan marrying was not the complete problem , but sheridan marrying luis. That was the problem. Martin i think knew everything about what katherine did and what Alistair was planning to do.

So martin was a big threat. And with luis investigating Martin's disappearance , i think Alistair was afraid that everything , and i mean everything will be revealed. The family business will then be turned over to Sheridan, Alistair will lose his control , and sheridan as well as her family , will gain control. That is all i know." Everyone sat in complete shock , absorbing everything Pilar said and trying to make sense of everything that was going through their minds .

Chapter 27:

Hours Later , Julian , sat in his car , speeding through the Harmony Hills, on his way into town, and he flashed back, on his phone conversation with Alistair who had blasted ," I'll deal with Sheridan , luis and that family. They have become a major thorn in my side. How dare pilar defile me. She has to be the one that told them everything. I'll deal with all of them , then they'll wish they never heard the name crane. " Julian stuttered ," Fffaaathherr, what are you ggoing too do." Alistair answered ," What you should have done a long time ago.."

Back To the Present...

Julian knew what his father meant. He was going to have Sheridan and Luis killed. Julian says to himself ," I never had a problem breaking up sheridan and luis , but killing her?? My own sister?? Never. I can't allow father to do this. I have to stop it somehow. Maybe if i save her life , she'll help me get control of Crane Industries over Father... yess.. now that she knows about her title , she can gain control of crane industries , but , luis won't want any part of the business , so sheridan could turn over everything to me. Right. That's it. I have to get down there."

Back At Sally's

Sheridan nibbled at the food infront of her. Her appetite had gone, and her mind was focused on other pressing matters. Pilar's words as well as those of their new found secret friend kept echoing in her ears. Crane Industries was hers. Luis , pilar , ethan and theresa stared at her. They knew her body was there , but her mind , had left hours before. Theresa called ," Sheridan , sheridan , .." There was no answer. Luis waved his hand infront of her face , but there was nothing . Pilar then took the fork from Sheridan's hand and dropped it into her plate and ethan said ," Sheridan, hey , snap out of it."

Just then her eyes blinked , and sheridan answered ," What?? sorry, did i miss something ," Luis answered ," I think you left yourself in the car , you okay." Sheridan answered ," Umm , yeah.. i guess , just thinking about what , pilar and uhh, nora said tonight. " Ethan and theresa said ," Well i can understand how in shock you must feel. I'm in shock too." Luis then said ," Hey , we've had a long day , and alot of things to absorb , why don't we go home. You'll feel better. " Sheridan shook her head ," No ,, no , i'm fine." Just then , Sheridan's boss entered the restaurant. The look of strain and the lines of worry on her face. Sheridan jumped up from her seat and waddled over to where this woman was."

She turned and saw sheridan coming over to her and said ," Sheridan , i'm glad you're here. I need to talk to you." Sheridan answered ," What's up, is something wrong." The woman , whose first name was maggie , said ," Sheridan i have some really bad news. I'm being sent back to atlanta. I got a call , from the mayor , my contract and everything , has been suspended ." Sheridan exclaimed," What?? , How , how is that possible." Maggie Replied ," I don't know. My lawyers are checking into it.

But that's not the only problem. Because i have been fired from my job here , unfortunately it's going to affect you as well. You too, have been released from your duties as my assistant." Sheridan felt weak in the knees , as she said ," but how could this happen. " Maggie answered ," i don't know , but i'm , i'm so very sorry.Listen ,i have to go , but tomorrow i'll see you at the office. We have to pack and collect our things. i'm so sorry again." Sheridan nodded , as she said her goodbyes to maggie , then making her way back to the dining table.

Sheridan began to explain what happened , and pilar replied ," My God , poor woman. I don't know why but i have this feeling mr. crane is behind this." Sheridan answered ," You really think so?? why?? no , no , i really don't think my father would do that.." Ethan said ," Come on Sheridan. where have you been all night. You and i both know Alistair has his spies all around harmony. For all we know one could have been listening in on our conversation here when pilar told you about your mother. Luis agreed ," Yeah , who's to say , that he is out to get back at us. hmm, having you fired , was so uncalled for."

A multitude of voices kept bombarding her ears , theresa , ethan , luis , pilar , all trying to share their thoughts. Afterawhile , sheridan became emotional. and she jumped up from her seat , and ran out of the restaurant , with whatever strength she had , but the wait of her 7 month twin pregnancy had seemed to slow her down. As luis got up , to go to her , his cell phone rang , and pilar advised him to answer it. She will go tend to sheridan.

Moments later , sheridan stood a distance away from the restaurant , her arms wrapped around a lamp post , streams of tears running down her cheeks , when she felt comforting arms embracing her. Pilar tried to quiet her down , but sheridan cried ," How could my father be sooo. cruel, so evil. " Pilar lead her , to an area on the warf overlooking the water, dark , deep , with just a faint twinkling of light, kissing the film on the surface.

Pilar answered ," Listen , you've gone through alot today. Let me go and tell the others we're leaving okay, you should really go home." As pilar started to walk off , luis caming running towards them , shouting something that seemed to blend into the wind , causing the inability to make out his words , but they all heard a shot fire out , and then three bodies collapsing on the floor of the warf , with screams coming from a half a dozen voices.

Chapter 28:

Sheridan and Luis Lay in a tangle embrace on the ground , Pilar a short distance away as shots were fired. Sam came running when luis pointed in the direction were the shots came from , and Sam with some of his officers , taking heed. After a few minutes Luis asked Sheridan ," you , alright ?" Sheridan nodded , the tears still wet against her cheek. Then Luis's eyes glanced at where his mother was and said ," Mama , you okay , ?? the gunman has gone , sam went after him, you okay?"

There was no sound. Luis asked again ," Mama , do you hear me, are you okay." There was nothing. Luis cautiously fearfully , bopped over to pilar , and turned her on her back , to see blood seeping through above the waist band of her dress. and hints of tears seeping from her eyes , blood stain on her hands where must have clutched the wound. Sheridan screamed ," ohh my god! nooo, pilar.." Sheridan crawled over to her , as luis knelt in shock and disbelief over his mother . At that moment ethan and theresa came running in with theresa crying out ," Mamaaa!!." Sheridan sniffled , " Ethan keep her back.."

Then she looked at luis's distraught face , his hands clutching pilar's skirt , then she said ," Luis , Luis , go and call for an ambulance , goo, ." Pilar, then was only able to say a few words ," Sheridan , .." Sheridan answered," ohh Pilar... i'm soo soo sorry." Pilar answered," Noo, noo , don't be. i'm glad you are okay." Sheridan then cried," You got shot." Pilar answered," noo, noo, it's , it's just scraped me." Sheridan then said ," Scraped you, ?? but you are bleeding. " Within minutes Luis came running back with eve , who said ," okay , move back, " Eve loosened Pilar's blouse , to reveal the bruise the bullet made , scraping along her torso area.

Afterawhile the ambulance arrived , when eve gave them instructions , then turning to sheridan eve said ," Sheridan , i want to take a look at you too, make sure you're okay. You had quite a fall." Sheridan answered ," Noo, no, i'm i'm fine. " Luis said ," Yes , i think Eve is right. Let her take a look at you." Sheridan replied ," No , i told you i'm fine. We should go to pilar." Eve then said ," Sheridan , you are in no condition to refuse. Now i'll meet you and luis at the hospital. I want you to check yourself in , and i'll be there to see you, okay." Sheridan once again , declined , but luis said ," Sheridan , listen to Dr. Russell. please let her take a look at you."

Sheridan saw the look in luis's eyes and she knew she could not refuse him. She nodded , and eve smiled , then left in her car on her way to the hospital , while Sheridan and Luis went in theirs with ethan and theresa following closely behind. Within Half an hour , Sheridan lay in a hospital bed, luis sitting beside her, while eve, with her stethoscope, checked to listen in on the babies. Sheridan's eyes danced to eve's movements, as eve prepped her for an ultra sound. With the cold gel against her skin , sheridan and luis glanced at the screen monitor , while the thumping noises of the twins heartbeats echoed the room, and sheridan inquired," Well, eve, is everything, okay."

Eve replied," Everything is fine. Your in extremely good shape, very healthy, and so are your babies. How do you guys do it. You survived your trip to New Mexico, you survived New Years , when the martin look alike tried to kill you, you survived the months you two were emotionally apart, when you went to paris and almost being killed there and thereafter. You survived from being killed at the Crane cabin, you survived being hypnotised, You made it out of the Mine shaft adventure, then having your life being threatened and dying, you survived death, and i can go, on and on.

What's your secret. Are you a cat with nine lives?" saying sarcastically. Sheridan grinned and replied," Ohh, well who was by my side all the time, Luis knows that i have no life without him." Luis smiles and bends over and gives sheridan a quick kiss. Then eve sighed," Hmm, i can agree with that. Soo, do you guys want to know the sex of your babies?" Sheridan replied," Is it true, you can really tell, by the ultra sound?" Eve nodded," Yep, it's about ninety nine point nine percent accurate, most of the time. I can tell you now if you want too."

Sheridan answered," Well, umm, i don't know about Luis, but i'll like to wait, and be surprised. " luis agreed, then eve said ," Okay. it's up to you." Sheridan then said ," They are so tiny, is that okay?" Eve answered," well, in normal multiple births, if it is twins, triplets, whatever, the babies are less in size , and sometimes less in weight at birth , than single babies. But they're fine. Sheridan then smiled, and said," Are they sucking their thumbs."

Luis glanced at eve who smiled and replied," Yes, it seems they are. Babies do alot of things while in utero. They kick, turn, sometimes it may seem as if they're dancing, when they hear sounds from the outside. You'll be surprised of the number of things they do in there. " Sheridan turned her head to look at luis. Their eyes meeting, their smiles matching, when she said," It's amazing isn't it." Luis replied," Yes, it is." He smiles. Then eve, says," Okay guys, that's it. Let's wrap up here, so we can go and see how pilar is doing." They smiled and nodded.

Chapter 29:

Two Hours later , Sheridan and Luis , along with Ethan and Theresa, arrived with Pilar, at the Lopez Fitzgerald home. Despite protests coming from Ethan and Theresa, sheridan and Luis , and eve, pilar still refused to spend her night at the hospital for observation , so eve respected pilar's wishes , and allowed her to be sent home , promising to check up on her the following morning. Luis and ethan helped pilar out of the car , her wound securely protected by the bandages, but the graze , still sore , and painful.

Sheridan striding infront of them , to open the door. The cool darkness of the night , did'nt seem to help , reflecting the expectation of the darkness of the house, however on entering , a pale brightness, glimered through the living room , where they found an unexpected surprising figure, when sheridan said ," Julian, what are you doing here." Julian answered , as Luis helped pilar to the sofa," I came to talk to you." Sheridan , shocked, replied," Ohh , well that's a first. What about. I hope you did'nt come to cause problems for me and luis. We have had our fair share of that already. When are you and father ever going to leave luis and me alone."

Julian answered ," If you'll just keep quiet , and listen , you'll hear what i have to say. It's about what happened tonight." Ethan then inquired suspiciously , " what do you know about that." Julian answered," Well, did'nt luis tell you?" Sheridan answered ," tell us?? tell us what?" Luis quickly said ," Julian, i did'nt get a chance too." Julian answered," Sister , dear , i think you better sit down, you may tumble over when you hear what i'm going to tell you." Sheridan answered ," Julian cut out the false concern , i'm fine right here."

Julian then taking sheridan's hand , lead her over to sit beside pilar on the sofa , said ," Sheridan , sheridan ,please , humour your brother , sit down," Sheridan did as asked , then inquired ," okay julian , i'm sitting. What is it about Pilar's shooting that you know and that you want to tell us." Julian then said ," Sheridan , it's father. He has totally become irrational. Sheridan , he is out for blood. Blood of anyone who gets in his way. I mean , i'll never kill anyone , for power or money , but father..." sheridan interrupted," kill.."

Julian answered ," Yes , father found out that Pilar told you about...." Sheridan answered," And he wants to kill me because of it." Julian replied ," Sheridan , it's not something i wanted to tell you. But yes. For a long time father has been wanting too... kkkiii...." Luis added ," kill." Julian said ," Kill you and luis. But i was totally against it. He was concerned that with you and luis together , you would have learnt the truth , so it was between breaking you up , or killing you two. In myself i could'nt very well kill my own sister."

Sheridan answered ," Well thanks for that. But how could father even consider... me.. his own daughter..." Theresa brought over a cup of hot chocolate she just made and handed it to sheridan. Juluan then continued," Sheridan , you and luis have to get out of here. Out of harmony. It's too dangerous, Father is not going to stop till......" Luis added ," We're dead??" Julian nodded , and sheridan asked," And why should we believe you. You have been helping father break up luis and me for years, and i'm sure that father isn't too pleased about the babies. I can guess he was furious when he found out i was pregnant. "

Julian answered ," Yes , yes he was. but i was happy for you." Sheridan huffed ," Yeah , i bet you were. You know , julian , i don't know why you bothered coming here at all. " Julian answered," Because sheridan despite everything , i want you to be safe. " Sheridan spat," Julian you have never given me any reason to believe you before , so why should i now." Luis added ," Cause he was the one that called and told me someone was hired to kill you. Just when you ran out of Sally's ,my cell rang , it was julian. " Sheridan glanced from luis , to julian , then said ," Well i don't believe this." Julian continues ," Sheridan ,please , you and luis , leave harmony for awhile. get away, go somewhere where father will never find you."

sheridan answered ," And where is that?? father has spies everywhere. why can't the police go searching for him and arrest him for attempted murder." Julian answered ," How do you search and arrest a physically invisible man. Sheridan, if i knew where father was, you don't think i'll find him myself and deal with him. That man has been a pain in the ass since i could remember . All i here is "julian you're an incomptentant fool , and julian do this , julian do that, julian why can't you do anything right for once." He has been as much a pain in my ass, than ivy was."

Ethan scoweled," Leave my mother out of this. If you would have said something about this early , then Pilar would have never gotten hurt and sheridan and luis won't have to run for their lives. What kind of life you think Sheridan , luis and their children would have if they have to continue running and hiding, just so that they could be happy. "

Pilar then said ," Well, Julian , i respect your honesty on the matter,and God will deal with Alistair in his own good time , but right now , i think julian is right. You two must leave Harmony for awhile. " Sheridan replied ," But .. but .. what about.." Pilar answered ," I'll be fine , and theresa and ethan are here. " Julian added ," Sheridan , they can join you later on, but i suggest you leave here. Tonight." Sheridan then turned to luis and asked,," Why should we leave. Did'nt you say that sam caught the hitman."

Luis answered ," Yes , he did. but Alistair could hire more." Sheridan then asked ," Julian , how is luis and myself going to make out. financially. I lost my job this evening , so all we have is what luis makes." Julian took an envelope out of his pocket and handed it to sheridan ,and said ," I know, part of Father's doing , no less. Here , this is for you. It should help you , for awhile." Luis then said ," We are not going to accept crane money." Julian then replied ," I knew that would happen too . It is not Crane money.

When i heard that Sheridan got fired , i took the liberty of contacting her boss , tonight. She used some of her contacts , and got this for you. It is this month's salary , as well as extra , from the other projects you were involved in. Plus , there is also a cheque, and a form , allowing you access to the bank , of money to what mother left for you in her will. I had the name changed , to mother's nickname. I remember her writing it , in a storybook she gave to you.

Father never knew the name. that does'nt mean to say , he won't be able to trace it after awhile , it just means right now , it's yours. Of course it is not all the money mother left to you, just a portion. " Sheridan gazed at julian for a second before curiously inquiring," Why are you doing this for us julian. After all this time." Ethan said ," I have to agree. Julian , what are you up to. What do you get from helping sheridan and luis. You must have some ulterior motive."

Everyone stared ,waiting on him for an answer , when he exclaimed ," alright , alright. !! you are right. Here's the deal sheridan. You have half of the crane power now. mother's will and testament has alotted you her half of Crane Industires. Until father dies i have nothing. If you could turn over your half to me , i'll be able to overthrow father , and get full control of Crane Industries. I am the perspective heir , and if father dies , then i'll be in control , but if he changes his will before i get some leverage, then who knows what father will do with his half.

he has no other sons , nor soul grandsons , soul heirs. " Sheridan astounded replied ," Julian , i don't believe you. If i turn over my portion to you , what happens to my children. Mother left it for me to turn over to my children." Julian answered ," Sheridan.. dear,, you really don't think luis has changed his mind about you or your family having anything to do with Crane Industries Luis answers ," Julian , who are you to say what i have on my mind. I think if Sheridan's mother left it to her , she should be able to decide what to do with it." Sheridan glanced at the faces around her , then said ," theresa , can we borrow your laptop please, I'll like you to type up a document for me."

Theresa nodded , and ran up to her room , where she collected her computer, then came back to the living room , setting it up, when sheridan said ," I want you to type up a document stating that for the time , i would like all the assets and everything my mother turned over to me , i would like it to be temporarily turned over to Julian Crane , Ivy Crane and Ethan Winthrop."

Julian started to protest when sheridan interrupted ," Julian , i quicker trust ivy and ethan before you , but since you are my brother , and are the soul heir , i will entrust you with it , but with ivy and ethan's assistance, as your partners. And when the time is right , i'll decide whether it's worth transfering it back to me , for my children , or to let the three of you continue. " Pilar , ethan , luis and theresa smiled at her , they were pleased with her decision. It allowed ethan to be reinstated at Crane Industries , and ivy to have a position in the crane work force.

Julian seemed partially disappointed , however he realised that now he has opportune with ivy and ethan , to contest al's rights and possibly the ability to gain control of Crane Industries. Theresa typed up the document , which , with ethan as witness , had it printed on her attached portable printer. , where more than one copy was made, as well as carbon copies. Ethan , had sheridan and julian sign it , in agreement , and he signed it himself as both a witness , and business partner to the format.

Within an hour they had contacted ivy , who arrived to sign the document. Ethan then told them that by the following morning , he would have judge randolph , one of Alistair Crane's enemies on the council, approve the document. And within the hour , sheridan and luis had packed clothes and a few personal items , for their journey.

They decided to first stop off at the book cafe , to purchase some things , before driving to boston, where they hoped to seek help from an old friend. They said their sad goodbyes to pilar , ethan , theresa , and ivy , who promised to explain things to the russels , and bennets about their whereabouts. As Luis drove off , sheridan waved goodbye to the loved ones she was temporarily leaving behind.
