Only You...(Continued...)

Chapter 19:

DAY BEFORE WEDDING

“Wake up handsome.” Sheridan whispered as she caressed Luis’ cheeks with her soft hands. “Mmm... morning gorgeous.” Luis said sleepily as he placed a gentle kiss on Sheridan’s lips. “Luis, can you believe that we’re getting married tomorrow? Tomorrow!! I can’t wait!” Sheridan cried excitingly. Luis smiled at her and said, “I know sweetheart, I’m excited too. I can’t wait to make you my wife. We’re going to have a wonderful life together, I promise you.” “I know we are, honey. I can feel it!” she replied giddily. “Okay, well, I’ve gotta run some errands today. You know, get everything cleared up at work, finish filing any papers, and whatever, so that I can be free for our honeymoon!” Luis said.

Sheridan’s eyes lit up. Luis hadn’t told her where they were going yet and she was dying with suspense. “Luis! Where are we going? Come on! Tell me!” she whined. “Nope. Sorry, no can do. You’ll find out when we’re at the airport tomorrow night, after our reception. You’ll find out then.” “Okay, okay. I can see I’m not getting anywhere with you! I guess I’ll see you later then. I’m taking my bridal party out to lunch today, remember?” “Oh, yea, that’s right. Well, have a good time.

Try not to miss me too much.” Luis said as he hopped out of bed to get showered and changed. “I’ll try.” Sheridan replied smiling as she pulled back the covers over her. She still had some time to kill so she figured she’d just go back to sleep for awhile. “Bye sweetheart! See ya later! Love you!” Luis hollered from the front door as he was getting his jacket to leave. “Love you too, baby! See ya tonight!” she yelled back. Then, she heard the door slam and Luis was gone. Sheridan let out a contented sigh and leaned back against her pillow. “I can’t wait to become Mrs. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald!!!” she cried happily.

Luis had just arrived at a quaint, novelty shop, located in downtown, Harmony, and he was approaching the counter. He had ordered a special wedding gift for Sheridan and was going to pick it up. “Ah, Mr. Lopez-Fitzgerald your order just arrived this morning. It’s in the backroom, let me go get it.” the saleswoman announced. Luis nodded and smiled softly. Sheridan was going to love this present! “Here you go. I’m sure it’s just what you wanted.” said the saleswoman as she handed Luis a large, pale pink box.

He opened it slowly and removed the pale pink tissue paper and his eyes lit up. Before him lay a perfect, large, dark tan, teddy bear. It was dressed up in an adorable police uniform complete with hat and walkie-talkie. It was incredibly fluffy and even had a cute, silver-star badge pinned on the left side of it’s chest. Luis had the badge inscribed to say, “Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald a.k.a. Teddy”. “This is perfect!” cried Luis, “Sheridan’s gonna love it! Thank you so much ma’am!” The woman smiled at Luis’ excitement. It was obvious that he was deeply in love.

“I hope your girlfriend likes it.” she said. “Oh, well, actually, tomorrow she’ll be my wife!” Luis said happily. “Wow! Well, congratulations to you, Mr. Lopez-Fitzgerald and I hope that your soon-to-be wife likes her gift.” “Oh, she will! Thanks again!” Luis replied as put the bear back in it’s box and turned to go back to his car. Luis walked all the way to the parking lot wearing what seemed like a permanent grin. He was ecastic. His gift had turned out to be great and he couldn’t wait to surprise Sheridan with it tomorrow, before the wedding.

He would have it delivered to the bride’s dressing room at the church, since it was bad luck for him to see her directly before the ceremony. Luis was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn’t notice a man come up behind him. He kept walking, completely unaware that he was being followed, opened his car door and gingerly placed the gift box down on the passenger seat. Before he got a chance to sit in the driver’s seat and close the door he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and suddenly everything went black.

Meanwhile at Harmony’s Country Club...............

“Sheridan! Yo, Sher? What’s wrong? You look kinda pale all of a sudden.” Brianna said as she noticed Sheridan’s sudden change in demeanor. The bridal party was at the country club, courtesty of Sheridan, having lunch, chatting and laughing away when suddenly Sheridan became uneasy. “Hello? Sher? Did you just hear what I said? You look kinda pale, is everything okay?” Brianna questioned again. Sheridan slowly shook her head no. “Something’s wrong. I just have this bad feeling that someone I love is in trouble.” “Oh God.” Theresa said quietly, “Well, who do you think it is? We’re all here.

Mama is at work. Miguel is at soccer practice and he has Jayden there with him. Luis is.... wait, where’s Luis?” Sheridan tensed up at the mention of Luis’ name. “Um, well...” Sheridan started, “he said he was going to work to clear up some last minute things. You don’t think it could be him, could it? I mean, what could happen to him at the station?” “Could it be Ethan?” Gwen said shakily.

“I don’t know you guys! Really, I don’t. I just have this feeling. Okay, Gwen, you get a hold of Ethan, just to make sure. Theresa, you try to reach Miguel. Brie, you call Mom at work. I’ll try to catch Luis. I just have to clear my conscience here. Something’s nagging me and I wont feel better until I know all my loved ones are safe.” Sheridan said. “Okay, Sher. Whatever you say.” Brianna replied. Each of the women pulled out their cell phones and began dialing frantically.

In Julian Crane’s library.............

RIIING RIIIING!!!! “Hello?” Julian Crane said as he picked up his private phone line. “Yes, Mr. Crane, it’s Carlos. I have some information regarding Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald and it involves your father.” This immediately got Julian’s attention. He was starting to come around and accept Luis and Sheridan’s relationship but he knew his father never would. He was also aware that Alistair had cooked up some dirty scheme to separate the two and he couldn’t let that happen.

He saw the way Sheridan and Luis loved each other and he didn’t want to take that away from her. When his mother died, Julian made a promise to her that he’d forever watch over Sheridan and take care of her. Boy, did he ever screw up! Julian decided to hire a private detective to keep an eye on Luis and Sheridan and let him know if something ever happened to them.

“Yes, Carlos, what is it? Has my father put his plan into action or what?” Julian asked nervously. “Indeed he has.” Carlos responded, “Luis was out picking something up this morning and as he was about to get into his car to return home your father came up behind him and injected him with a needle! He then took Luis away in a black van!!” Julian slammed his fist on the desk. “Damn! I can’t let anything happen to him. I’ve never been a fan of Luis or his family but Sheridan loves him and I promised my mother that I’d watch over her.

After I saw just how cold my father can be I’ve decided to accept whatever man that makes my sister happy! Carlos, do you know where the car was headed?” “Well, I know they took Old Mills Rd. That’s the back street that’s been shut down for fifteen years! I’ve heard that there’s some run-down factory somewhere along that road so I assume they’re going there.” Carlos said completely horrified at the lengths Alistair Crane would go to just to preserve his precious empire!

“Okay, Carlos, good work. I want you to call the Harmony PD and get everyone they’ve got on the case and then I want you to try to locate my father and Luis. I’m gonna head down that road myself to see if I can find them. I have to let Sheridan know what’s going on first, though. I’ll get her, we’ll go pick up Luis’ car and then we’ll drive to that factory together.” Julian said as his head was spinning from hearing this news.

“Okay, Mr. Crane. I’ll get right on it. I just hope you can keep Sheridan calm. She’s at the Country Club with some friends. You asked me to keep an eye on her too so I know for sure that she’s there right now. Good Luck.” Carlos replied. “Thanks, Carlos. You’ve done a really good job for me here. Let’s get to it. Call me as soon as you know something!” Julian asked. “You got it, boss.” Carlos replied as he hung up the phone to call the police department. “Oh, Sheridan. I just hope you forgive me for all the wrongs I’ve done to you in the past and let me help you this one time. Please.” Julian pleaded out loud as he got up to go get Sheridan.

At the Country Club...........

“Sheridan, Mama is perfectly fine at work. She says nothing unusual has happened today.” Brianna announced after she hung up her cell phone. “Yup. I got the same news from Miguel. His soccer practice is done and he and Jayden are at the park now. Nothing weird has happened to them.” Theresa chipped in. “When I reached Ethan he was in the middle of a meeting. He said everything was fine and not to worry so much.” Gwen added. “Did you reach Luis, Sher?” Brianna asked. Sheridan slowly turned pale and shook her head no. “He-he-he didn’t answer his-his cell ph-phone.” she stammered out in utter fear.

Whoa, Sheridan please relax. He could just be busy at the station.” Theresa offered. “N-n-no! I called there! Sam said he wasn’t there and he wasn’t sure when he’d be returning!” Sheridan cried. “Well, we can’t go jumping to conclusions Sheridan! Come on now, knowing Luis he’s probably working on some big surprise for you and he just didn’t want to get distracted so he’s not answering his phone! There’s a ton of possibilities so please, just relax.” Brianna begged. Sheridan nodded uncertainly and gave the best smile she could manage at a time like this.

Just then the girls heard someone calling out Sheridan’s name and they all turned their heads up only to see Julian storming his way over to their table. “God, what could he want?” Sheridan questioned sourly. “Hello everyone. Sheridan, sister dear, I really have to talk to you. It’s very important!” Julian said quickly. “What could you possibly have to discuss with me Julian, we barely ever see each other!” Sheridan snickered back. “Just listen! I know in the past I’ve been ruthless and I’ve done a lot of bad things along with Father, but I want to change all that, Sheridan, please just give me a chance. I have some info on Luis that you need to know!”

This got everyone’s attention and Sheridan nodded her head signaling for Julian to continue. “Okay, Father was conjuring up some plan to split you and Luis up for good but he didn’t tell me what it was because he thinks I’m a major screw-up. Luis came over and demanded I tell him what it was but I honestly didn’t know and I told him that. Anyway, I saw how much Luis loved you and I didn’t want you to lose him. I wanted to do something right for once and make Mother proud of me, like she used to be.....”

Julian trailed off as he saw Sheridan tear up at the mention of her mother. Brianna placed a comforting hand on her shoulder as Julian continued, “Well, I hired a private detective named Carlos Rodriguez to keep an eye on you and Luis just to make sure nothing bad happened. He called me this morning telling me that he witnessed Father inject Luis with a needle and kidnap him in a black van!!!”

Sheridan’s jaw dropped and her eyes began to water. “Oh nooo!! LUIS!!! Oh my god, oh my god!!!! What are we gonna do? Julian do you know where they went?” she asked trembling with fear. “Yes, I do. Carlos said they took Old Mills Rd., the one that’s been closed, and there’s an old factory site located along there somewhere and we think that’s where Father has taken Luis.” Sheridan rubbed her hand over her belly gently as tears cascaded down her face. “Our baby... Luis has to be okay! He has to be! I can’t live without him and neither can our child. Please, Julian! We’ve gotta do something to save him, please!!!” Sheridan cried.

“I know and we are. Luis’ car is parked at some store downtown so we’re gonna go there, pick it up, and you’ll drive it and follow me in my car, down Old Mills Rd. I’ve got Carlos and the cops already investigating and some of them should be heading to the factory as we speak! So, come on!” Julian said. “I’m coming.” Brianna and Theresa said in unison. “No! You guys, this could be dangerous and I don’t want you two to get hurt.” Sheridan replied. “He’s our brother, Sheridan, come on!” Theresa begged. “You guys, I think Sheridan’s right. Alistair is an evil man and he wouldn’t hesitate to take out anyone that got in his way, including two young, innocent, women.” Gwen added.

“Thank you, Gwen.” Sheridan said, “Now could you guys go home, tell Mom and Miguel what’s been going on and then please, please, say a prayer for Luis.” Sheridan said as a few more tears fell down her face. Brianna and Theresa nodded as they hugged Sheridan and solemnly turned to leave. “Sheridan, I’m going home to wait for Ethan and I’ll fill him in as soon as he gets back. Just hang in there, okay? Luis loves you and you two have got so much to look forward to. I know he wont leave you now.” Gwen offered. Sheridan smiled softly and gave Gwen a hug. As she turned to Julian she said a quick Thank You to God for turning her brother around and she also asked God to watch over Luis.

Julian noticed that Sheridan was slightly shaking and more tears were spilling our again. He didn’t want her to have a breakdown now, he needed her to be strong so he had to get her out of there and over to the factory immediately. He just hoped she could handle whatever their Father had done to Luis. “Okay, Sheridan come on! We don’t have much time, let’s go!” Julian prompted as he and Sheridan ran all the way to his car.

In the factory basement..........

Luis slowly woke up only to find himself on what seemed like a bed made of steel. He felt like his body was being weighed down by a hundred ton elephant and he was rather tired. “What in the hell happened??” he moaned grogily as he opened his eyes. Just then flashes of the teddy bear he bought for Sheridan came to mind and he smiled softly. Next he remembered walking to his car and then feeling the worst pain imaginable and then he saw darkness.

As Luis was recalling these events his smile quickly disappeared and his face held a look of rage, disgust, and fury. “Who did this to me?!?!?” he screamed and his voiced echoed through the dark, dusty, room. “DAMNIT!!!!! I know you’re in here somewhere! Show yourself you sick bastard!!!” Just then Luis heard footsteps and looked up into the doorway only to meet the coldest most heartless pair of eyes he had ever come across. He would know those eyes anywhere. And that face too. He’d seen it in too many society magazines to ever forget.

“ALISTAIR CRANE???? You did this??? You fucking prick!!!! I’m gonna kill you for this!!!!” Luis yelled in sheer anger. “Whoa whoa! We’ve got quite a temper there haven’t we? Oh, and I don’t think you’ll be the one doing the killing!” Alistair snarled as Luis looked on. “Why? That’s the only thing I wanna know. Why? You see how happy your daughter and I are together. You know she’s pregnant don’t you? You know our wedding is tomorrow right? How could you do this to her? To your only daughter? Why?” Luis said as a lone tear streaked his face. He began to reminisce about all the wonderful times he and Sheridan has spent together and how much dreams he still had for them in the future. Alistair wanted to laugh at this scene unfolding before him.

“I’m doing this because I don’t want you anywhere near my daughter!!! You’ll get too close.... too close....” Alistair said as he trailed off. “Too close for what? Huh? What the hell are you talking about, old man!?!” Luis asked as he was utterly confused by Alistair’s cryptic statement. “Well, you’re gonna die anyway so I can tell you. I murdered you father years ago because he witnessed me kill another man. Sheridan was there that night but she was just trying to protect herself with that letter opener. I let her think she killed someone and I sent her away.

That may seem cold to you but a rich and prominent man like man couldn’t risk having my pest of a daughter ruin things for me. Anyway, I couldn’t let Martin link me to that murder so I had to kill him too. I knew if you and Sheridan got together you’d probably find out so I guess I have to do away with you too.” Alistair said all this so casually that it made Luis want to vomit.

“DAMN YOU CRANE!!!!! DAMN YOU for ruining my life, my family’s life, and Sheridan’s life!!!!!! I HATE YOU!!!!! God, I wish to God that you die and rot in hell for all eternity you worthless asshole!!!” he screamed in fury. Luis began to tremble thinking of what this cold bastard had done to his life and to Sheridan’s life, making her believe she killed someone. A few more tears began to streak his face as he slowly came to the realization that he may never, ever, see Sheridan again...... ever.......

Chapter 20:

"Okay Sheridan, there's Luis' car! Go hop in and follow me to the factory!" Julian ordered as he pulled into the store parking lot where Luis had been. Sheridan immediately did as she was told and ran to Luis' car. She used her set of keys to get in and start the ignition. She glanced over and noticed the pink box sitting on the passenger seat. She gently picked it up and opened it. Tears quickly came to her eyes as she saw the cutest teddy bear Luis had gotten for her.

"Oh Luis. You're such a sweetheart! It wasn't supposed to be this way! I hate my father for this! Don't worry, baby, we're gonna get you outta there!" she said out loud to herself as she felt her heart breaking for the man she loved. "Sheridan, COME ON!! Step on it! We don't have much time!" Julian screamed snapping Sheridan out of her daze. She quickly put the car in drive and sped off down Old Mills Rd. right behind Julian.

At the factory...........
Alistair had left Luis alone after their last confrontation to 'go get things ready' as he so casually put it. Luis couldn't believe this was happening. Here he was locked up in some dungeon-like basement with no windows, no water, no food, no nothing! "Dear God, please let Sheridan be okay. I couldn't bear it if her father did something to her too. Please.

Watch over her while I'm in here and help me find a way out! Please!" Luis prayed. Just then he heard a lot of bustling going on upstairs and then he heard a gunshot! "Yes! Maybe that's Sam or someone coming to get me outta this hell hole!" Luis said hopefully, "Or, it could just be Alistair getting in a little practice before he does away with me! Damnit! I hate him! He's gonna pay for this........."

Upstairs, in front of the factory...........
Squad cars swarmed the area and Private Investigator Carlos Rodriguez was in the centre of the mix. He had gotten the entire police department to back him and they were surrounding the building. One of the men's guns had accidentally gone off and Carlos was pissed that they may have given themselves away. "Come on people! Back into positions! Old man Crane probably already knows we're out here so let's just bust in! Wait for my signal!" Carlos shouted. Meanwhile Alistair had seen all of this going on and quickly rushed back down to the basement to do away with Luis.

"Well, well, well, Low-Life Fitzgerald, it looks as though your cop buddies have come to save you but they're too late cause I'm finishing you off right now!!!!!" Alistair snarled. Luis looked Alistair straight in the eyes and said, "I am going to haunt you for the rest of your mother fucking life, you cowardly bastard!!!!!!! Damn you for doing this to me and to your own daughter! Damn you!!!!" Alistair had heard enough of Luis' mouth and he cocked his gun and pulled the trigger, firing a bullet right under Luis' heart.

Luis toppled over and fell to the ground clutching his wound. Alistair just smiled and turned on his heel to leave. There was an underground passageway that he could escape through. He was sure that no one would find him. Upstairs, Carlos and the cops were getting ready to move in when they heard the gunshot. "MOVE NOW!!!! GO! GO! GO!" Carlos ordered as an army of cops broke through doors and windows and flooded the factory. Just then Carlos turned around at the sound of a car screeching to a halt.

It was Julian with Sheridan right behind. The two siblings hurried out of their vehicles and up to Carlos. "Did you find him? Is he in there? What's going on? Is he okay?" Sheridan rambled nervously as a few tears trickled down her cheeks. "I don't know yet Ms. Crane. We were set to bust in when we heard a gunshot. I sent the guys in right after. I don't know what's happening in there now." Carlos replied. "Well, surely they'll find him, right Carlos?" Julian asked uncertainly. "It's hard to say, Julian.

We did hear a gunshot and we don't know who was wounded." Carlos replied. "God, I can't take this. This is just too much for me right now!" Sheridan cried. "What, what is it? Is it the baby or something?" Julian asked worriedly. Sheridan was touched to know that her brother actually cared about what happened to her for once, that was a lot more than she could say for her father, who was responsible for this entire catastrophe. "No, no, it's not the baby. I just need some time alone. I'm gonna take a walk around to the back of the building. Call me as soon as you know something." "Okay, go ahead but, here, take this just in case." said Carlos as he handed Sheridan a loaded gun. "Wh-what? I hate guns, what would I need this for?" "It's just a precaution, Ms. Crane. Please, just take it for safety." Carlos urged.

"Okay, okay." Sheridan gave in as she took the gun and walked silently around to the back of the building. She just stared up at the sky saying a silent prayer for her beloved Luis. She thought she heard some rustling beneath her feet but she figured it was just the wind blowing around. She heard it again but this time it felt like the ground had moved. Sheridan was beginning to get frightened as she slowly stepped backwards and looked down at the spot where she had been. She was shocked beyond belief. There, before her on the ground, was a wooden door partially covered with dirt.

It looked like someone was trying to get out or something because it was rattling slightly. "What in the hell.... oh my god..... a door? In the ground? I must be losing it." Sheridan said to herself. Just then the door began to open slowly as Sheridan clutched the gun tighter in her hands. She saw a man emerge from the underground, through this door, and was about to scream bloody murder but her voice was lost when she saw who it was. "F-f-fat-ther...??????" Sheridan choked out. Alistair whirled his head around at the sound of his daughter's voice and almost fainted when he realized that it was indeed Sheridan.

"Why, hello, my dear. Um, I was just um... I was umm..." Alistair was at a loss for words for once in his life. "Shut up! I know the whole story! You kidnapped Luis! Where is he, damnit??? Where is Luis?" Sheridan demanded. An evil grin spread over Alistair's face as he slowly shook his head. "I'm sorry my dear, but I had to do away with him. I thought he was going to get too close to the truth about his father. So I saved him the trouble of looking. I told him the truth, about how I killed Martin Fitzgerald, and then I killed Luis too."

Sheridan felt like the wind had been knocked out of her. "Nooo! Oh god no! Not Luis... noooo! Damnit! I hate you! I'm gonna kill you for this!!!" Sheridan screamed as she raised the gun to her father and held him at gunpoint. "Sheridan, darling, whatever are you doing? You can't kill me? Your own daddy? I love you sweetheart, you know that. Everything I ever did was for you and your brother. Come on, you won't kill your own flesh and blood. You love me too, don't you Sheridan?-" "SHUT UP!!!!!!!!" Sheridan cut him off. She was way too pissed off to hear any of his lies.

"CARLOSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT ALISTAIRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! HURRRRYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sheridan screamed at the top of her lungs. Alistair had a look of fear on his face as he spun around and began running as fast as he could. Sheridan didn't have time to think she just cocked her gun and pulled the trigger firing a bullet square into her father's back. Just as Alistair fell the ground in pain Julian, Carlos, and several other officers came running.

Sheridan just turned to them and dropped the gun onto the floor with shaking hands and tears in her eyes. "I had to do it. He said he killed Luis. I had to kill him too." and with that she broke down into heartbreaking sobs. "Shhh.... Sheridan, don't worry. Father could've been bluffing. We're gonna go down and see what's really happened to Luis. You go back around to the front and wait with one of the officers. Okay?" Julian said.

Sheridan nodded and she took one last look at her father and then she turned to leave with an officer. "Stay here with him and call an ambulance to haul his sorry ass outta here. It's a good thing he's dead!" Carlos ordered another officer. Julian was growing impatient now. "Come on, Carlos, let's go down and see if we find Luis!!!" With that the two men hurried down into the factory through the wooden door and along the passageway praying that they weren't too late to save Luis.

Meanwhile, Sheridan was pacing in front of the police cars wringing her hands together as she often did when she was nervous. "Ms. Crane, I'm sure your fiancé will be just fine," one of the officers consoled. "Thank you." Sheridan replied softly as she began praying, "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven........" She couldn't go any more. Her body was wracked with sobs as she just let the tears flow. "Please God! Don't take Luis away from me or our baby! Please, we need him! Let him survive....... I love him!!"

Chapter 21 :

Julian and Carlos traipsed through the dark tunnel and when they finally came to clearing they heard a moan. “What the hell was that?” Carlos asked in fear. “Well, you’re the professional, go find out!” Julian said in aggravation. He’d never forgive himself if something happened to the man Sheridan loved. He didn’t like Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald that much but he did love his sister.

Carlos glared at Julian after that smart remark and said, “Whatever. Come on, we’ve gotta hurry!” They ran towards the sound of the moan and came to a dark and dusty room. “Hello? Anyone in here? Luis?” Julian called. They heard the moan again. Carlos moved toward a dark figure lying on the floor and his eyes widened in shock. It was Luis! And he was moving! “Holy shit! Julian, it’s Luis! We found him! He’s alive!”

Julian’s head snapped around and ran to where Carlos was standing. “Luis! Luis, wake up!” he urged. Just then Luis moaned again and slowly opened his eyes. “Julian.... what the..... what are you doing here?” Luis said in a daze. “Luis I’m here because I was suspicious of my father. I hired Carlos here to keep on eye on you and Sheridan, just in case. He called and said you had been kidnapped. I got everyone on the police force on the case. There’s dozens of officers upstairs.” Julian explained quickly. Before Luis had a chance to respond Carlos stepped in. “Wait, wait, wait. Hold up just a second. We heard a gunshot when we were upstairs, what happened?” he asked.

“Well,” Luis started as he slowly sat up, “Alistair Crane shot me. But, luckily I had my bullet proof vest on and nothing happened.” “You were wearing a bullet proof vest???? Why?” Carlos asked. “I was going in to work this morning. I had to finish up some last minute errands first but I still left the house wearing my uniform to save myself from changing later on. Part of the Harmony PD’s uniform is a bullet proof vest.”

Luis explained. “Wow! Talk about being lucky!” Carlos said. “Anyways, this is enough chit-chat. My sister is upstairs going out of her mind! Let’s get you to her.” Julian said. Luis’ eyes lit up. “Sheridan’s up there?” “Yup” Julian replied. “God, she must be going crazy thinking that I had been hurt, or worse! I’ve got to get to her.” Luis said as he stood up. “Whoa, Luis, wait. Um, Sheridan is also broken up over something else. She um.....well, you see, she..... um......” Julian stuttered. “Spit it out, Julian! What else could Sheridan be upset over?” Luis asked.

“She was getting fresh air to calm her down because she was so worried about you. Then, she saw Alistair emerge from some secret passageway that this place has. We had given her a gun to protect herself just in case and she used it to threaten him with. He tried sweet talking her but she wouldn’t let him. Just as she was calling us to come Alistair tried to run but she caught on quickly and shot him in the back.

He’s dead. As much as Sheridan hated him she still killed her own flesh and blood and now she probably thinks you’re dead too. Which is why, we need to get you to her, now.:” “Oh god. Poor Sheridan. My sweetheart. She’s probably having a nervous breakdown!!! Come on, take me to her.” Luis ordered. Carlos and Julian led him back through the hallway and then up through the passageway.

Meanwhile, Sheridan was going mad, still pacing in front of the factory. She was about ready to pull out her hair when she heard her most favorite voice in the entire world call our her name. ‘No. It couldn’t be... could it?’, she thought to herself. That couldn’t have been Luis! She willed herself to turn around and when she did she saw the most gorgeous sight, Luis was healthy and running towards her.

She grinned broadly and said a quick ‘thank you’ to God as she ran right into his arms and flung her own arms around his neck and hugged him tightly to her. “Luis!!! Oh my God! You’re okay! You’re alive and you’re here, with me! Don’t you ever leave me Luis, never! I love you so much! I would die without you!” Sheridan cried as tears began to slowly fall down her face.

Luis buried his face in her shoulder as he shed a few tears himself. He pulled away just a bit, to look into her eyes, and said, “Sheridan, I will never, ever leave you. We have too much to look foward to, together. We’ve even got ourselves a little one on the way. I love you too much and I would never ever let you go!” Sheridan just smiled softly at him and pulled him in for a fiery kiss that was filled with urgency and pure hunger for one another.

“Ahem, ahem.” Julian cleared his throat as he tried to get the lovebird’s attention, “Well, we know that Alistair was responsible for the whole thing, Luis, and he’s dead, so you two are free to be together! I will not stand in your way. I know you may still have some qualms about me, Luis, and I don’t blame you. Alistair and I have done some sinister things in our time.”

“Yes, indeed you have, Julian.” Luis responded while securing one arm around Sheridan’s waist while she rested her head on his shoulder, “But, what you did for Sheridan and I today was unbelievable and I do see that you are changing your ways.” Sheridan quickly snapped her head up remembering that their wedding was supposed to be tomorrow! “Oh my god, Luis! The wedding! It’s tomorrow! Are we ready? Are you up to it? Are you okay? Do you think you can handle it? And then there’s the honey moon? Will you be up to going? I know you’re probably hurt or injured or something! Do you need a doctor?”

Luis’ head was spinning at Sheridan’s ramblings that he didn’t know which question to answer first! “Whoa, whoa! Baby, relax! I haven’t been hurt! I had my bullet proof vest on the whole time so the shots Alistair fired didn’t do any damage. We are definitely getting married tomorrow and we are definitely going on the honey moon and we are definitely going to have a good time, okay?” Sheridan let out a sigh of relief. “Whew! Okay, good! Well then let’s get you home to rest up before you go over to Mom’s house for the night!” Sheridan said.

Luis looked shocked. “We’re still going through with that plan? I have to go over to my old house and spend the night there while you, Brie, Resa, and Gwen stay at our place?” Sheridan grinned, “Yup! That’s exactly what’s gonna happen! So, let’s go on home, you can get some rest before you have to leave for the night! We’ve got a big day tomorrow!” Luis noticed that Sheridan seemed unusually happy seeing as though her father had just died. “Sher, sweetheart, I don’t mean to dampen the mood but as your soon-to-be husband I have to ask... are you okay? I mean, your father just died... and if you’re not up to getting married tomorrow I understand.”

Sheridan hung her head for a moment but then looked up to meet Luis’ eyes and said, “My father meant nothing to me. He hated me and eventually I grew to hate him. I don’t care that he’s gone! It just makes things all the better for us. We’re finally free to be together and we are getting married tomorrow!” Luis smiled brightly, “Good, that’s what I was hoping you’d say!

Okay, well let’s leave this God-forsaken factory and get home cause I gotta get my rest if I’m gonna marry the most gorgeous woman in the world tomorrow!” “Aright, I drove your car over here so I guess we’ll be taking that back home.” Sheridan said. Luis looked worried as Sheridan mentioned that she drove his car. “You-you drove my car? So that-that means you-you saw my gift?” he asked tentatively.

“Awww, Luis. Yes I did. I’m sorry! I didn’t know what it was at the time and I was so emotional thinking that you were in trouble. Sorry I ruined your surprise but if it makes you feel any better, I love my present and I will cherish it always! Thank you.” Sheridan replied. “Okay, okay! I forgive you.”

Luis smiled as he brushed his lips against Sheridan’s. “Okay, time to go!” Sheridan announced, “Bye Julian, Carlos! Thanks for everything! See you both at the wedding tomorrow?” “You bet!” Julian and Carlos said in unison. Sheridan and Luis hopped in Luis’ car and drove off to their condo just happy to be alive and with each other...........

Chapter 22:

“Okay mister, go get some rest for our big day tomorrow!” Sheridan ordered as she and Luis entered their condo. “Sleep? Awww, don’t I get something special? After all, this is our last night together before we’re officially husband and wife, you know!?!” Luis hinted as he hung up his coat and sexily strolled over to sit with Sheridan on the couch. “Oh no! Nuh-uh! You’re not gonna sucker me in with your incredibly enticing eyes and sexy smile! We’ve both been through a lot today, you especially, and you need your rest... I wouldn’t want you falling asleep at the altar!” Sheridan replied.

Luis giggled as he envisioned himself collapsing on Sheridan while saying their vows. “Sweetheart, I wouldn’t a second of tomorrow’s ceremony for anything in this world!” he said. “Well, good! Now scoot! I’ve got to pack some more of our things for this honey moon that you’re being so mysterious about! Plus, I think if we go a night without each other, until tomorrow, when we’re officially married, it’ll be kinda special, don’t you think?” Sheridan asked.

Luis thought this over and saw her point. “Okay, okay. I give up! You win. I’ll go take a nap while you pack.” And with that he gave her a sweet kiss on the lips and retreated to the bedroom to follow his soon-to-be wife’s orders. As soon as Sheridan was satisfied that he was in bed and about to drift off to sleep she ran over to the phone and began dialing frantically. “Hello, Theresa?” she asked.

“Sheridan! Oh my God! You’re home? What happened? Is Luis okay? Did you find him? What happened? Is the wedding still on for tomorrow? What happened? Are me and Brie still spending the night at your house? Is Luis still coming here to sleep? What happened? What’s going on? Tell me! Tell me! We’re all going mad over here!” Theresa blabbered. Sheridan had to laugh at the way Theresa said ‘what happened?’ every two seconds. “Well, Theresa, Luis is fine.

My father kidnapped him and tried to kill him but he was wearing his bullet proof vest which saved his life. However.....” Sheridan’s voice trailed off as she recalled what became of her father. “However, what? What else went down tonight?” Theresa asked curiously. “I shot my father. He said he had killed Luis and I was in such a rage. I hated him so much! He tried to run away, to escape getting caught, and when I saw him running I shot him... and he died.” “Oh my God! Sheridan, are you alrite? I know you must be hurting. Even though you hated him he was still your father.”

Theresa reasoned. “I know. And I was shocked and a bit hurt at first but as long as I have Luis everything will be okay. I’m not going to dwell on that. Now that Alistair Crane is out of our lives and Julian has come around, I’m a much happier person! Not to mention, I’m marrying the most handsome, most wonderful and understanding man on the planet, tomorrow!” Sheridan informed. “Oooooh! YESSSS! The wedding’s still on! Whoooo hooooo!”

Theresa squealed, nearly deafening Sheridan. “Yes, Theresa, it’s still on. That’s the other reason I called, besides to inform you about Luis. I still want you and Brianna to come tonight and get dressed with me here, tomorrow morning. But, besides talk, I want us to do something else tonight.” Sheridan said. This piqued Theresa’s interest greatly. “What are you up to Sheridan?” she asked. “Welllll, remember when Luis got the guys together and asked Brianna to coach them so they could perform that song for me?” Sheridan asked.

“Well yea, of course! How could I forget?!” “Okay well, I want you guys to help me practice a song to see for Luis during the ceremony tomorrow. You know, how some people make their own vows, we’ll Luis and I decided to make our own and on top of mines, I want to do a song for him. I mean, he’s told me I have a pretty good voice, so why not?” “Oooooooh! This is gonna be soooooooo fantastic Sheridan! Luis will love it!” “I hope so! Now, you two get over here ASAP!” Sheridan said. “Alrighty.

We’ll get Miguel to drive us so that way he can take Luis back home with him.” “Sounds good to me. See ya in a bit!” Sheridan said. “Bye” Theresa said as she hung up. Sheridan was giddy with excitement about practicing her song for Luis. She was considering it for a long time now but after that episode earlier when she thought she nearly lost the love of her life, she decided she was going to do it. She had yet to decide which song to do. She was thinking of singing that Whitney Houston song she and Luis danced to the night he proposed to her.

It would hold a lot of significance if she sang that one. But, she had always loved the song ‘From This Moment’ by Shania Twain. She really wanted to do something that described her feelings for Luis perfectly so she thought of doing, ‘I Turn To You’ by Christina Aguilera. “I really hope the girls have a way to help me figure this out!” Sheridan said to herself just as the phone rang. “Hello?” she answered. “Sheridan, you’re home? It’s Gwen! How’s everything with Luis?” Gwen! Sheridan had completely forgotten to call her and fill her in.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t call you Gwen!” Sheridan apologized as she proceeded to tell her good friend the events of the day. “Oh my Lord!” Gwen said when Sheridan was done, “Well, thank goodness you two are both safe and sound. So what’s going on with the wedding?” “It’s still on! There will be absolutely no delay! I love Luis and want to become his wife more than anything!” “I’m glad that you’re so happy Sheridan. You deserve it. So, are the plans still on for tonight. Me, Brianna, and Theresa are coming over to your house?” “Yup! It’s still on so you can come over whenever you’re ready!” Sheridan replied.

“Wellll, Sheridan, I don’t know, I mean, ever since I married Ethan, Theresa and I haven’t been on good terms. I mean, you’re going to be her sister and Brianna’s too, maybe I should just stay home and then come in the morning, leave this night for family only.” Gwen suggested. “No, Gwen! That’s nonsense! I know you and Theresa aren’t really friends but she’s managed to put aside any upset between you for my sake. You can still come over!”

“I don’t think so. Thanks for wanting to include me but I would rather stay home and let you and your future sisters have some time alone. I think that would be best. I just wanted to call and see what happened after you left the Country Club.” Gwen replied. “Well, Gwen, the decision is yours. If you change your mind you can come any time tonight, we’ll be up late. If you decide to stay home then make sure you’re here tomorrow bright and early!” Sheridan said, a little disappointed that Gwen wouldn’t be joining them tonight.

“I’ll be there as early as possible Sheridan! Have a wonderful night, see you in the morning! Bye!” Gwen said as she hung up the phone. About an hour had passed by and Sheridan figured it was time to get Luis up since Miguel and the girls would be there soon. She tiptoed into their bedroom and stood over Luis and gazed at him sleeping soundly for a few seconds. She admired his gorgeous body and his ruggedly handsome features. She thanked God everyday for bringing him into her life.

He was her soulmate, the love of her life, her rock, her entire life, and she knew she couldn’t live without him. Just then Luis stirred, shaking Sheridan from her daydreams and then she bent down to give him a little peck on the cheek. “Mmmmm, that’s all I get?” Luis joked as he came out of his slumber. Sheridan giggled. “Oh you just wait Lopez-Fitzgerald, you’ll get plenty more tomorrow night when we’re in whatever place you’ve chosen for our honeymoon.” Luis sat up and pulled Sheridan down to sit on his lap.

“That’s right... I still haven’t told you about our honeymoon. Well, I’m a hundred percent sure you’ll like it.” Luis teased. “Well, thanks to your not telling me I had to pack clothes for all types of climates. I guess I’ll get my revenge when I laugh at you toting all our heavy suitcases around!” Sheridan laughed as she kissed Luis. “Ha-ha! Very funny! Well, nice try, but I’m still not telling you.” Luis replied. “Okay, okay!” Sheridan gave up, “Anyway, you’ve gotta get up now.

Miguel is dropping Brianna and Theresa over here any time now so he’s gonna take you back to Mom’s. I’ve packed an overnight bag for you and the bag with your wedding clothes is hanging in the closet.” “Mmmmm...” Luis hummed as he kissed Sheridan’s neck, “My beautiful soon-to-be wife is soooo good to me, packing my bags and everything. Thank you baby.” Sheridan blushed at this. She never had any experience doing things like packing bags and organizing things for others. Her nannies and maids always did that for her growing up.

It felt good to know that she was able to do things on her own now and that Luis was proud of her. “You’re welcome, hun.” she replied kissing Luis sweetly on the lips. DINGGGG DONGGG! The doorbell sounded. “There they are. I’ll get it while you get dressed.” Sheridan said as she stood up giving Luis one last kiss before going to get the door. Luis watched her leave and silently thanked God for blessing him with such an amazing woman. He quickly got up and got dressed as he was glad he was going to see his brother and sisters, especailly after what he had gone through earlier that day.

“Hey Sheridan!” Miguel hollered as he gave his soon-to-be sister a huge bear hug. “Hi Miguel! Thanks for dropping the girls over!” Sheridan replied as she went over and hugged Brianna and Theresa. “Um, Sheridan, where’s Luis? We’d really really really like to see him after everything that’s happened today!” Brianna asked. “I know you’re anxious to see your big brother. He’s just getting dressed, he’ll be out in a sec.” Sheridan informed. “Actually I’m already out!” Luis said as he appeared in the living room.

Well you would’ve thought Miguel, Theresa, and Brianna hadn’t seen their brother in years the way they ambushed him with hugs and kisses. Sheridan just locked the door and turned to admire the love the Lopez-Fitzgerald’s have and have always had in their family. She only wished she had had that type of affection growing up. ‘No, Sheridan. Stop this. You can’t dwell on the past. You have a new family now- Luis, Brianna, Miguel, Theresa, Pilar, and the rest of the Lopez-Fitzgeralds that you haven’t even met yet! They’re your family and they love you!’ Sheridan said to herself.

After all the Lopez-Fitzgerald hugs and kisses were all delivered and exchanged Miguel spoke up, “Okay bro! Time to get you outta here so the women can do, you know, their girly stuff!” Sheridan and Theresa laughed while Brianna said, “Exactly, hermano! Now, come on, you’re invading on our time here!” As Miguel went to get Luis’ bags for him, Brianna and Theresa began talking about what they could do for the remainder of the night, and Luis went to say goodbye to Sheridan, “Well, sweetheart, we’re almost there!

After a long, hard, and strenuous road of ups and downs, we are almost there, and it was worth it! I am so happy! I want you to be my wife more than anything!” Sheridan’s eyes sparkled, “Oh Luis! I am so excited! I doubt if I’ll get any sleep tonight! I don’t know if I can wait another day for you to be my husband! I love you so much! You’re my teddy!” Luis blushed at that last comment. “Umm, let’s keep that nickname to a down-low, shall we? And, I love you too, with all my heart and soul.” He slowly bent down and gave her and passionate kiss full of love and promise. When they broke apart they were both breathless.

“Well, Mr. Lopez-Fitzgerald, I suggest you get going. Just make sure you meet me tomorrow, at the altar, and don’t be late!” “Well, Mrs. soon-to-be Lopez-Fitzgerald, I think you’ve got yourself a wedding date! I love you!” “I love you too Luis, forever!” Sheridan replied as she kissed Luis one last time and watched him and Miguel stroll through door and away to their childhood home. “Oooookay!” Brianna said, “Now that we’ve gotten rid of them, what should we do first?” “I know!” Theresa exclaimed, “Why don’t we all share secrets about Luis?!?”

Sheridan’s eyes lit up at the thought of having something to tease Luis with. “Oooh! I like that idea Theresa!” Sheridan responded with a huge grin. Before Brianna could say anything her cell phone rang. “Hmm, I wonder who that could be?” she thought out loud. She reached into her bag and answered, “Hello?” “Brie? Thank God you left your phone on! It’s Luis, but don’t say my name, I don’t want Sheridan to know you’re talking to me!”

Now Brianna was utterly lost. She knew it was indeed Luis she was talking to, but hadn’t he just left the condo like five minutes ago? Why didn’t he just talk to her when he was there? “Where are you calling from?” she asked. “I’m in the car. I just wanted to remind you of something you have to do tomorrow and I didn’t want to do it in front of Sheridan cause it’s supposed to be a surprise!” Luis replied. “Ooookay! What are you talking about?” Brianna questioned. “Well, don’t you remember a looooong time ago, when we were kids, when you promised me you were going to sing at my wedding?

Well, I’m going to take you up on that!” Brianna’s head was starting to spin now. He was requesting a song from her at this late notice? What if she wasn’t familiar with the song he wanted? Oh God! Brothers! What can you do with them? “At this short notice?” Brianna asked uncertainly. “Yes! I forgot about it till just now. You promised me and I think it would be great.

I want you to do this Whitney Houston song for us. I think it’s called ‘You’ll Never Stand Alone’ or something like that. It’s the song that Sheridan and I danced to when I proposed. Could you do that for me please? Pretty please?!?” Luis pleaded. ‘Well, at least I know the song off by heart!’ Brianna thought to herself and then she finally said, “Okay, okay! I’ll do it! No problem.” “Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you sooooo much Brie! I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then. Love you!” and with that Luis hung up.

Brianna was trying to come up with an excuse for who was on the phone as she knew Sheridan and Theresa would probably ask. It was probably okay to tell Theresa though. “Well, that’s taken care of!” she said as she placed the phone back in her bag, “It was some local restaurant asking me to sing at one of their functions next week, that’s all.” “Oh, okay. That’s great! Well, back to our night of fun right?” Sheridan said. Brianna let our a little sigh of relief that Sheridan bought her story. “Yup, you got it!” Brianna replied. The three women gathered around on the floor surrounded by blankets, pillows, and popcorn, ready to have some girl talk.

Meanwhile, over at the Lopez-Fitzgerald House...............

Luis and Miguel had just walked in and dropped all the bags in Luis’ old room, which had still remained untouched. “So where’s Jayden?” Luis asked. “He should be around here somewhere. Mama was watching him.” Miguel replied. “Hey Jayden!! Jayden!!! Get in here buddy, I got somethin to tell ya!” Luis hollered. Just then Jayden came bounding through the kitchen door with Pilar hot on his heels. “Unco Wees!” he cried as he ran and jumped into Luis’ lap. “Hey sport! Guess what?” Luis asked. “What? What? What?” Jayden replied anxiously. “Well, you know that tomorrow you’re coming to my wedding right?” Jayden nodded and said, “Yup! You’re going to marry Aunty Sher, right?”

Luis smiled and replied, “Yes, I am. And, you have to do a favour for us! We want you to be the ring bearer!” “Huh? What’s that Unco Wees?” Jayden asked puzzled. Miguel and Pilar giggled softly at Jayden’s cuteness. “Well,” Luis started, “the ring bearer has a very important job. He has to carry the wedding rings, which are very nice and expensive rings. He has to carry them down the aisle of the church and then he has to give the rings to the bride and groom when they’re ready to put them on.” Jayden’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Really? Wow! Cool!” Jayden cried with delight.

Luis smiled with satisfaction and then said, “Okay buddy, well you’re gonna need your rest to do that big job so how about you go with Grandma upstairs and brush your teeth and stuff so you’ll be ready for bed?” “Okay, Unco Wees. Goodnight!” Jayden said as he gave his uncle a big kiss. He got up and toddled over to where Miguel was, “Goodnight Uncle Migwel” he said. “Awww! You’re too cute Jayden. But you know what, you gotta get my name right! It’s Miguel, not Migwel!” Everyone laughed at that one.

Pilar came forward and gave Luis a kiss on the cheek. “Mijo, I’m so proud of you. I know you and Sheridan will have a wonderful life together. Sleep well, tonight. I love you.” “Thanks Mama. That means a lot coming from you and I love you too.” Luis replied. Pilar took Jayden from Miguel and went upstairs. “It was really cool for you and Sheridan to pick Jayden as your ring bearer. I mean, he’s not even three years old!” Miguel said. “Well, he’s my nephew! I wanted him to be a part of the wedding! Too bad we don’t have any little girls in our family for the flower girl.” Luis replied.

“Oh yea! Who did you and Sheridan pick for the flower girl anyway?” Luis smiled, “Well, there’s this cute little girl at the Youth Center who just loves Sheridan to death. We asked her and her parents were thrilled! Her name’s Brittany and she’s too adorable for words! She’s a bit taller than Jayden so it might look weird for them to walk down the aisle together, but hey, they’re kids, so who cares?” “That’s cool. Anyway, I haven’t figured out what I’m gonna say during my big best man speech tomorrow! I’m kinda nervous!” Miguel confessed.

Luis just laughed, “Don’t worry little bro! I’m sure you’ll think of something great. And Sam is my other best man so he’ll be making a speech too so you won’t be all on your own. It doesn’t have to be U.S. Presidential quality you know!” Miguel laughed, “I know I know! But I want it to be special. I know how much you love Sheridan.” “You’re right about that one. I do love her, more than anything in this entire world. I’d do anything for her. Anything.” Luis replied as he smiled softly thinking of his one true love. “Wow. That’s really deep. I don’t know if I’d die for a girl. Maybe when I’m older and I really know what love is.

But, really though Luis, let’s say you were walking in the park to meet Sheridan and you saw her on a bench sitting and waiting for you. Then, out of nowhere, you see some strange man with a gun lunge towards her and taking fire. You run up to try to save her but the man fires anyway. You have two choices, let Sheridan take the bullet or you push her out of the way and take it yourself.

What would you do?” Luis let out a shaky sigh and said, “Whoa Miguel. That’s a pretty intense hypothetical you’ve conjured up there. But the answer is simple, I’d take the bullet for Sheridan without a second thought. I love her. And that’s that.” Miguel just nodded his head knowingly, “I thought you’d say something like that. I know you two are going to have a terrific life together, I know it.”

Back at Sheridan’s place with the girls................

After plenty of laughing and giggling over funny Luis stories the girls finally calmed down and got ready to help Sheridan pick out a song to sing for Luis. “Okay guys, I hope I still have my voice after all that laughing! You two wore me out!” Sheridan said smiling broadly at her two soon-to-be sisters. “Oh don’t worry Sher, you’ll be fine.” Theresa encouraged, “Now come on, let’s help you choose a song.” “Okay well, I say you sing I Turn To You by Christina Aguilera because the words are so perfect!” Brianna suggested, secretly knowing that the real reason she wanted Sheridan to sing that song was because Luis had requested her to sing the Whitney Houston one as a surprise for Sheridan.

“Well, that’s true. It does express how I feel about Luis. But, You’ll Never Stand Alone by Whitney Houston holds special memories for Luis and me. We danced to that song right after he proposed to me!” Sheridan countered. Brianna needed to talk her out of that idea and fast! “Umm, well that’s true. I mean, it is a pretty song but like you said, it has special memories for you and Luis, close and intimate memories. I think that’s something you should save for the two of you.

When you’re having you’re romantic nights together you can play it and just savor the sweetness of it together. I say go with the Christina Aguilera one for the wedding. That way you’ll have two special songs, one from the engagement and one from the wedding.” Brianna amazed herself with the argument she put forth and prayed Sheridan would buy it too. “Well, you do have a good point there Brie.” Sheridan started, “Okay! I’ll do the Christina Aguilera song!” Brianna breathed a sigh of relief, “Arite, cool! Let me look for the CD and we can get you practicing!” “This is going to be soooo fun!” Theresa cried with excitement. She was about to continue with her ramblings when the phone rang. Sheridan got up and answered it, “Hello?” she said.

“Hey baby, you miss me yet?” Sheridan would recognize that sweet voice anywhere. It was her Luis. “Hi hun! Of course I miss you! But the girls and I are having a blast!” Sheridan replied. “Well, I’m glad you all are having fun. I’m just calling to wish my one true love a good night’s sleep.” Luis said. “Awwww! How thoughtful of you! Well, thank you. And I hope you have a wonderful night’s rest too. I want you to be full of energy for tomorrow and of course, tomorrow night!” Sheridan said seductively.

“Ooooh! Sounds enticing, Mrs. soon-to-be Lopez-Fitzgerald! You’ve got me hooked!” Luis replied laughing. Sheridan smiled, “Seriously, though Luis. I want you to rest up! We’ve got a big day tomorrow!” “I know sweetheart and I will go to be early, I promise. I love you so much, I want you to know that.” “I do that know, hun! And I love you too! I can’t wait till tomorrow when I become you’re wife!” Sheridan cried with glee. “I can’t wait either!

Okay, goodnight mi amore!” “Goodnight Luis!” Sheridan said smiling, as she hung up the phone. She was sure that tonight would be full of warm dreams of her Luis. The sound of music shook her out of her daydream and she remembered she still had to practice that love song for Luis. She smiled again, knowing that their day tomorrow would be nothing short of magical....................
