Chapter 1: Quite a Predicament!
Sheridan sighed. She breathed. In, out. Trying not to breathe
too much
air. She felt a tear stream down her eye. Luis was supposed to have
dug her
up by now. Something was wrong, she knew it. Something happened, and
she
was going to die. She would never see Luis, Ethan, Gwen, Hank, or any
of her
loved ones again. She frowned. She found it hard to breathe now, for
it had
been more than two hours, and the oxygen already in there was now
running
out. She had less than 30 minutes to live. She started to doze off,
thinking of the good times.....
Crashing into Luis's car, Luis kissing her at Pilar's party, her first
tango,
New Mexico, New Years' Eve, Paris, babysitting the little kids, and at
the
dinner, her last dinner with Luis...
~*~*~*~*
Sheridan smiled, remembering all of the times she had with Luis....
She
breathed heavily, breathing her last breath, smelling the single pink
rose
that Luis gave her, saying out loud, "Luis, I love you."
Meanwhile....
Luis slammed the door of the Lopez-Fitzgerald house. He got into
his
car, and sped off, down the street by the railroad tracks. He sighed,
looking at all of the Christmas decorations, and thinking of the
upcoming
holiday.... Christmas was going to be hell....now that Theresa was
fighting
with him over Ethan.... He frowned, thinking of the special holiday
without
the woman he loved....Sheridan. He drove to the pier, and parked his
car.
He got out, and walked along the boardwalk, looking across the misty
waters.
He frowned, looking at his reflection. He turned away, and looked at
the
spot where he kissed her....Sheridan. Memories flooded back, and he
pounded
his fist against the wood. "Why did she have to die? Why did she
leave me?
I love her....I need her." He sat down, with his head between his
knees, and
rubbed his temples. He got up, and said, "I have to see her-one more
time."
Once he got to the cemetery, he walked to Sheridan's grave. It was
filled to the brim with flowers, and he smiled. She was such a loved
woman,
she was so kind. He had to see her. He took off his suit coat, and
undid
his tie. He grabbed a shovel, and began to dig. "I have to see her."
He
kept on repeating, going mad. He dug and dug, reducing him down to a
hungry
sweat. He took off his shirt, and wiped his forehead. He got to where
he
could see the shininess of the casket. He smiled, and he began to
brush off
the dirt. He found the lock, and began to open.....

Chapter 2:
Luis opened the casket, and peered inside. There, Sheridan looked
so
calm and peaceful. He sighed, and he placed his hand on her forehead,
gently
stroking it. He gasped. She felt...warm. He placed his index and
middle
finger on her neck, where her veins were.
"Oh my God! There's a....pulse!" He bent down, and rubbed
Sheridan's
cheek. "Sheridan, Sheridan. Wake up! It's me, Luis. Please,
Sheridan....wake up."
Meanwhile, Sheridan was asleep, and she couldn't wake up. She was
having a
dream...
Everything was white. White clouds, white skies, white everything.
She
looked around. She could see nothing but white. Suddenly, Katherine
appeared. Sheridan gasped. "Mommy?"
Katherine nodded. "Yes, Sherry. It's Mommy. Don't be afraid, my
child.
Everything's going to be okay."
Sheridan looked around. "Where am I? What am I doing here? I was
just
in the casket....Is this heaven? I'm dead, aren't I?" Sheridan began
to
panic.
Katherine placed her hand on Sheridan's shoulder. "Sweetie. This
is
heaven. But you're not dead...not yet. You have the choice, honey."
Sheridan looked confused. "Choice?"
Katherine nodded. "Yes, dear. This is not your time yet- not at
all.
You still have a full life ahead of you, Sheridan. With Luis..."
Sheridan felt a tear roll down her cheek. "Luis....I miss him so
much."
Katherine smiled. "Sheridan, go back, back to Luis and your loved
ones.
You will have time here, child. But now is not the time. You must
go...."
Sheridan nodded.
~*~*~*~*
Luis was sitting, next to the casket. He looked up at the starry
sky,
and a single cold tear ran down his chiseled cheekbone. He looked back
at
Sheridan, such a calm and peaceful look. He smiled, and held her hand.
"Sheridan. I never told you this. I was too afraid, too cowardly. I
thought you never felt the same way about me....I love you so much. We
had
the rest of our lives together. We were going to have children, and
grandchildren....we were going to grow old together." He sighed,
looking at
her eyelids. "I wish you could open them for me just one more time."
He
kissed her eyelids, and backed away. He looked at them for a moment,
and
then to the ground. "What a lousy Christmas this is going to be...."
Sheridan's eyelids fluttered, and she gasped for air. Luis's eyes
lit
up, and he looked quickly at Sheridan. "SHERIDAN! Oh my.....you're
alive!
You're alive!" She smiled faintly, and she began to breathe, in and
out.
She tried to speak, but nothing came out. Luis smiled. "Sheridan....I
thought....This is a miracle!" He caressed her face with his hand, and
she
smiled. She tried to sit up, and Luis helped her.
She lowered her eyebrows, and
wispered..."L...u..i..s.....I.....w..a..s.......bu...r..i...e..d.....a.....l..
..i....v........e......I....w...a...s......never.....dead." She
started to
regain her voice, and she smiled. "It was all a hoax, Luis. The whole
plan.
It was Hank's idea.
He would "shoot" me, and then Pierre and Roger
would
know I was dead. It went as far as to the burial, and they gave me a
drug,
but it didn't work, Luis. I nearly went mad from the claustrophobia."
Luis sat there, with his jaw wide open. "I'm so glad you're back.
God-why didn't you inform me of the plan?"
Sheridan smiled. "Hank didn't think it was a good idea." Sheridan
paused for a minute, and her eyes lit up. "Hank....wait. How did you
know I
was alive down here?"
Luis frowned. "I didn't. I had to see you one last time...."
Sheridan gasped. "Hank! Oh no.....he's in trouble, Luis. Roger
and
Pierre must have....oh no! We have to save Hank."
Luis looked wide-eyed at Sheridan. "Sheridan, you go back to the
cottage. I'll find Hank. I will not risk losing you again."
Sheridan started to protest, then she stopped. "Okay. We need to
hurry!"
Luis nodded, and he helped her out of he grave. They got in his
car, and
he dropped her off at the cottage. "You stay here, okay?"
Sheridan smiled. "Yes, Luis. Be careful, I don't want anything to
happen to you. I love you."
Luis smiled. "I love you too, Sheridan!" He kissed her, and he got
his
gun and bullets, and smiled. "Stay here. Bye, Sher."
Sheridan sighed. "Bye, Luis."

Chapter 3:
Sheridan looked at the closed door, and she frowned. She looked
around
the cold, dark room, and she shuddered. She felt something...something
bad
was going to happen.
Luis was driving down the road, to the Bennett house, and he parked
in
the driveway. He ran to the door, and banged. Sam, in royal blue
pajama
pants and no shirt, opened the door. His hair was disheveled, and he
groggily greeted Luis. Luis told Sam all about Hank's situation, and
his
eyes widened. Sam got his pants on, and a shirt, and loaded his gun,
and
they rushed off in Luis's car. They arrived 5 minutes later at the
wharf,
now with full police backup, and they roamed the area, looking for
Roger and
Pierre.
"Okay, Luis. You take Parkman, Rogers, Carter, Smith, Jackson,
Stevens,
Mulder, and Scully (LMAO) and go east. I will take Bridgeman, Jones,
Hoffman, Bordner, Polanic, Toth, Holmes, and Cucinella, and we will go
west,
towards the park. You all know what the suspects look like, and the
order is
apprehend them, no matter what. Shoot them if conditions permit. Good
luck,
men."
They all went in their ordered directions, and Luis walked towards
the
dock. He listened for any noises, and he could hear none. He walked
further
on, searching.
Meanwhile, Sheridan was back at the cottage, making some food for
herself. She was showered and dressed, and she stirred the pot full of
noodles. She turned on her CD player, and put in an NSYNC Christmas
CD.
"Mmmmm
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
Oh yeah
We've been waiting all year for this night
When the snow is glistening on the trees outside
And all the stockings are hung by the fireside
Waiting for Santa to arrive
And all the love will show
'Cuz everybody knows
It's Christmas time and
All the kids will see
The gifts under the tree
It's the best time of year for the family
It's a wonderful feeling
With the love in the room from the floor to the ceiling
It's that time of year
Christmas time is here
And with the blessings from above
God sends you his love
And everything's okay
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
Ohhhh
Bells are ringing
It's time to scream and shout
All Scream and shout
And everybody's playin cuz school's out
Celebrating the special times we share
Happiness cuz love is in the air
And all the love will show
'Cuz everybody knows
It's Christmas time and
All the kids will see
The gifts under the tree
It's the best time of year for the family...."
Sheridan smiled. She walked over to he window, and looked out at
the
falling snow. The white flakes drifted down from the ominous sky, and
she
looked at the fresh white blanket of snow. Her hot breath steamed the
window
up, and she looked back at her living room, and she frowned. "I need
some
Christmas things in here." She went to a closet filled with Christmas
things, and she got out a big box with lights. She looked at them, and
smiled. "Please God, let Luis come back to me nice and safe, I
couldn't
imagine this Christmas without him."
Meanwhile, Luis was rounding a corner, and he stopped. He heard
two
French voices, and he cocked his gun. He breathed heavily, but not
making a
noise. He slowly stepped out, and aimed his gun. "FREEZE! Harmony
Police,
you are under arrest!"
Roger looked up, and reached for his gun. A shot rang out.

Chapter 4:
A shot rang out. Roger clutched his chest, and gasped for air.
"That's
what you get for trying to kill Sheridan, you bastard." Luis smirked,
and he
heard a gun trigger being cocked. He whirled around, and found a
glaring
Pierre pointing a very large gun at him.
"Freeze, Monsieur. It's time for payback after killing my
associate."
He aimed right at Luis's chest. He started to pull the trigger, but a
rushing figure came towards Luis. He and the figure fell to the
ground, and
Luis looked up. He saw Sam and Agent Freeman handcuffing Pierre, and
he
looked at the figure. "Hank?"
"Hey buddy. Pretty close there, huh?" He smiled. Luis smiled
back, and
helped Hank.
"You saved my life, Hank. I can never begin to thank you."
Hank just waved him off. "Luis, I know you would've done the same
thing
for me." Luis nodded.
"I would've." Hank smiled.
"OH no! Sheridan!"
Luis smiled and patted Hank's back. "She's fine. I dug her up.
She's
okay. Everything's fine now."
Hank smiled. "Thank God." He yawned.
Luis chuckled. "I think it's time we go home and sleep. It has
been a
long day.'
Hank laughed. "That's an understatement. That's a good idea,
Luis. I
feel like a walking mummy. And I'm sure you want to see Sheridan."
"You know me too well. Goodnight, Hank."
"Night, Luis."
Luis walked away, and hopped in his Jeep. He raced home, and went
to the
door. He pounded, and Sheridan looked through the door. She smiled
brightly, and opened the door. She swung her arms around him, and
kissed
him. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and kissed her, with all
his
might. He opened her mouth with his curious tongue, and she welcomed
him.
Sheridan wrapped her legs around Luis's waist, and played an
exciting
game of tongue tag. Luis pulled back for some air and looked into
Sheridan's
smoky eyes. "Sheridan, I love you."
Sheridan's eyes widened, and she smiled. "I love you too, Luis."
She
caressed the side of his face, and she looked into his luscious hazel
eyes.
They glowed with passion, and she lustily licked her lips. He smiled,
and
bent down to kiss her. Sheridan moved back, and looked into his
confuzed
eyes.
Sheridan smiled. "Make love to me." She said, in a throaty moan.
Luis smiled, and replied. "I thought you'd never ask."
