Jason held Kevin closely in his arms. What a relief, thought Jason, 'twas only a dream. My beautiful Kevin is here, and I'll never let him leave my sight. He smiled at Kevin who was smiling back at him. Then he noticed an odd expression on Kevin's face. The blond beauty was looking at something behind Jason. Jason followed Kevin's gaze and turned to see what it was that had caught Kevin's attention. Kevin quickly sat up and reached over with his arm to grab the object in question. He moved so quickly that he almost appeared to be a blur to Jason.

Kevin then quickly opened the drawer to his nightstand and put the object inside and closed the drawer. He did all this without saying a word.

Jason stared at Kevin. Then he spoke.

"What was that?"

"What was what?"

"Don't be coy, much as you look so adorable when you are being coy," said Jason. "What did you just grab and put in that drawer?"

"Nothing important. Let's cuddle." Kevin moved over closer to Jason and pulled Jason's arms around himself.

"O-kay," said Jason slowly. "Cuddling is good. I always enjoy a good cuddle with you, my sweet." Then he quickly pinned Kevin down on the bed so that he was on top of the blond beauty, his hands holding Kevin's hands firmly down.

"What did you put in that drawer?" he asked Kevin again.

"Jason, trust me. You don't want to know. Please don't look inside that drawer."

"Now you've really got me curious. Stay here and don't move." Jason kept Kevin pinned down on the bed as he moved a bit closer to the nightstand. He opened the drawer and reached inside. There was only one object inside. He pulled it out and looked at it.

He stared. Finally he spoke.

"Oh. My. God. No. Please. No."

Kevin sighed. "I asked you not to look."

Jason's sense of reality was again shattering into a thousand tiny pieces. He stared at the object in his hand: the scroll. The message from Kevin that was sent to him through the vortex. He opened it and saw the familiar words.

"Kevin, uh, this is the scroll from my dream. That must mean that I'm still dreaming. Or it means I'm very much awake and you are indeed, uh, indeed, that elf from that Tolkien world, oh shit, would you listen to me! I can't tell anyone about this or I'm going to end up locked in a rubber room in some mental hospital!"

"Yes, Jason. It would be in our best interests that you not speak of this to anyone," said Kevin.

Jason closed his eyes and covered his head with his hands. He curled up in a fetal position and rocked back and forth.

"Jason?" said Kevin softly. "It's okay. I promise you it'll be okay. I'm here. We'll get through this together."
