A question is often posed to me as to why I do not allow Prayer Request on the Message Boards. In my mind, the answer is quite simple, but it is often a topic of hot debate from time to time.

I realize, as do many other fans of The Express Station community, that we are a very close group. Through the years, many of us have become especially close and it’s only natural to share personal problems and difficulties with your friends. When someone close to you comes into difficult times, it’s often natural to ask others to offer prayer to help those individuals through those hard times. I in no way mean to discourage that.

However, more often than not, religious discussions are not viewed and welcomed in the same way in which you view and welcome them. Our community is made of a variety of religious denominations. My religious view is not the same as yours and I would never presume to declare my creed upon you. Therefore, I ask that you do not declare yours upon me. I am not only speaking of myself, but this is also the request of countless visitors of the Express Station Community.

Unfortunately, this is a policy that I have established for my Message Boards. Will this policy change? Perhaps not. Therefore, it is not a topic for future contestation and debate.

I respect religious freedom more than you know. I ask that you respect my decision to keep religious discussion and prayer request off the Message Boards.
