Janine Lecroix is a dancer from Australia. She was Joey’s roommate for awhile after Chandler moved out to live with Monica. Joey and Ross both were very attracted to her. Joey was advised not to hit on her because it would make living together very weird. When he found out that Janine didn’t feel the same way about him, he decided to “turn on the charm” and tried to get her to share his feelings.
After a few months of trying, Joey finally got Janine to come around. She invited him to dance with her on the filming of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 1999. At fake midnight, the director cut before they could kiss. She confessed to him how disappointed she was they didn’t get to kiss.
They began dating, but it was short-lived. Janine and Joey double dated with Chandler and Monica for their first date. She told Joey when they got back that she couldn’t stand to spend two nights in a row with Chandler and Monica because he was blah and she was loud. He told her this would be a problem, but when they kissed he said that he would sell his friends and use the money to buy her presents if she wanted him to. But Chandler and Monica found out about Janine’s feelings about them and she and Joey broke up and she moved out.
