The information on this page was sent to me in an e-mail. It was written by a person who attended the taping of the finale. I actually had this in April and just now realized, less then a week before the airing, that I never put any links to it and the one that I did have was broken. Oh well. Sorry. If you really wanted to know, I'm sure you have the same source I do. :-)

If you don't want to know what happens, DO NOT read this!! THIS IS ACTUALLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN GREAT DETAIL!!!

This spoiler comes from kristy friends ( go.to/kristysfriends ) FYI: 624 isn't the season finale (so there is still hope for R+R) Thanks to David Jorion for the spoiler and Mailys A Suncic for translating it.

Everything begins in Monica and Chandler's apartment. Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler are in the living room and Chandler is showing them the ring that he's going to give to Monica that night in his favorite restaurant. Phoebe looks at the ring and asks Chandler if she can have the ring if Monica says no. Chandler says she won't say no. Phoebe says IF she says no. Chandler says yes, and Rachel gets jealous. Ross says that the ring is beautiful, and Rachel tells him that he must have about a million like that from all his marriages, to which Ross replies that she didn't get one. Monica enters the apartment, and scared that she might see it, Phoebe puts the ring in her mouth. Monica goes to her room, and Chandler wants his ring back. Phoebe says she swallowed it, but then gives it back. Mon comes back from her room, and this time, Chandler puts the ring in his mouth. Phoebe says it's like she just kissed Chandler because he didn't have time to wipe off the ring.

In Central perk. Chandler, Monica, Joey and Phoebe are sitting. Monica has already been invited to the restaurant by Chandler. Rachel arrives and announces that she has a charity gala that night and asks Chandler and Monica to go with her, forgetting about Chandler's plan. Chandler gets mad, afraid that Mon will cancel the date to help Rachel. Rachel then invites Joey and Phoebe, who accept. Ross arrives, and says he's spending the night with Elizabeth, and everyone asks him how long their relationship is going to last, because she is too young for him and could get fired from his job.

In Chandler and Monica's apartment. Chandler is practicing proposing to Monica, while she is in her room. Joey, Phoebe, Rachel and Ross arrive to reassure him. They ask him if he has the ring, and Chandler says yes, in his pocket. Phoebe gives him a hug and steals the ring at the same time.

Chandler asks to get it back right away. Monica arrives ready to go, and the other four look at her. Ross goes to get Elizabeth, but when he arrives, he gets grabbed by Elizabeth, because she and her friends are having a water balloon fight with her neighbors. Ross finds himself in the middle and gets all wet. He gets pissed off because he says he was wearing a nice suit, now all wet.

Monica and Chandler arrive at the restaurant. chandler makes sure he has the ring. Monica asks him why he is moving like that, and asks him if he's alright. Chandler then asks her if she's alright, and Mon responds that she is a bit cold. Chandler starts to give her his coat, but then realizes that he can't because the ring is in the pocket, so he refuses to give it to her, saying that he is cold too, and that she should have brought her own jacket. Chandler starts to get up to propose a toast, and starts to ask her slowly, saying that he'd never felt this good before he was with her, when Monica yells out "Richard!". Surprised, Chandler says no, I'm Chandler, but Richard has just come in with a date. Afraid that he might not see her, Monica yells out once again Richard, who is also surprised to see her here. Richard and his date find themselves sitting next to Chandler and Monica.

At the gala. Joey is running from buffet to buffet, and Rachel pretends that she doesn't know him. The gala is for children without toys and money. The biggest donations will receive a gift, a trip to Paris, and a sail boat. Rachel tries with a donation of $20. They're handing out the prizes, and a guy wins the trip to Paris, and Joey wins the sail boat! Rachel is very surprised, and Joey says, "I won, I correctly evaluated it to $20,000!". Rachel says he wasn't supposed to evaluate it, but buy it! Joey panics doesn't know what to do because he doesn't have that much money. Rachel's boss goes to see Joey, to congratulate him, but Joey tells him he can't pay. Afraid to lose her job because of this, Rachel laughs and tells Joey that it's a good joke, which reassures her boss. Rachel then asks the boat's price, $19,000. Phoebe comes back from the bar, with 21 glasses of alcohol, and gets drunk. Joey finds a way to get the list of people who gave the most money, and finds the guy who gave $18,000, who should have won the boat. Rachel and Joey decide to go talk to him while Phoebe is flirting with the guy who won the trip to Paris. Joey and Rach tell the guy he should have won the boat that Joey can't pay for, and Rachel makes him believe that any woman would be very happy with a boat like that, that they'll be able to go fishing, and have a good time. The guy says ok, he'll buy the boat, but the Joey refuses to sell it, because he too wants to be able to enjoy all of that. He decides to take out a loan from his bank.

Chandler and Monica's apartment. Ross is alone, because he cancelled his date with Lizzy. Chandler and Monica come back, and Ross is all happy and asks how it went. Chandler makes big gestures to let him know that nothing happened, and tells him that Richard showed up. Ross says yes, that's Richard's favorite restaurant. Monica gets ready to take out the trash, and Phoebe and Joey arrive and ask her to show them her hand. Surprised, Monica asks what her hand has, and once again, Chandler gestures that nothing happened. Phoebe says that they don't want to see her hand, but what she has in her hand, the trash. Monica takes out the trash and comes back. Rach arrives and asks Mon to show her her hand. Phoebe screams that it's too late, she's already taken out the trash, and there is nothing left to see. Ross tells his story, and everyone convinces him to break up with Lizzy. He goes back to her apartment, and talks to her. When he comes out of the apartment, Liz calls him from her window, and says that he's an idiot, and throws a water balloon at him.

Central Perk- Chandler and Joey are sitting, and Chandler is waiting for Monica. She arrives and Chandler and Joey tell her that they were looking at websites and came upon a wedding website that said that Weddings were nothing at all, and Chandler says he doesn't understand why people get married. He's doing that to make Monica think that he is not interested in marriage. Joey all of the sudden gets up and runs outside because his boat has just arrived.

In Monica's kitchen at her restaurant- Mon is cooking and her chef tells her a client wants to congratulate her. Monica gets ready by pretending to cook well, and the client, Richard, comes in. Mon asks him what he's doing here, and he tells her that it's not to congratulate her, but to let her know that he's still in love with her.

And now for the finale....

They showed the first part of the episode on the monitors, but I believe there are already spoilers for part 1. (See above.) Well, the episode leaves off with Chandler wanting to propose to Monica, but not being able to. He decides to pretend to be dead-set against marriage, so when he eventually does propse it will be a surpirse. Richard shows up at Monica's restaurant and tells her he still loves her.

Part 2:

Monica is shocked. Richard continues to tell her that he still loves her and wants to marry her and even have kids. Monica reminds Richard that she's with Chandler now, and Richard says he knows but he can offer her things that Chandler is not willing to. Monica says that isn't true and says that *she* is actually the one who doesn't want to get married.

The next scene is Phoebe and Rachel at Central Perk. They are happy for Monica and Chandler but Rachel can't help but be 98% happy and 2% jealous. Phoebe says she is 90% and 10%. In case she doesn't find love, Rachel wants a back up guy-- like if they're both 40 and not married, then they marry each other. Phoebe says her back-up is Joey. Joey enters dressed like a captain because he received a yacht from the auction in part 1.

The next scene is Monica and Chandler at a pizza place. Monica asks if Chandler ever wants to get married. He says be probably never does. Chandler explains how marriage is unnatural and says that pigs mate but never get married. Monica then asks what are they doing if he never intends to get married. Chandler calls her a "mantrap" tells her to quit pressuring him.

The next scene is Captain Joey in his apartment Monica enters upset. Joey tells her to tell the captain what's wrong. Monica says she feels like she is going no where in her relationship with Chandler. Joey says that "Chandler is not fellow who will take a wife." Monica asks if that's boat talk. Joey goes on to say that Chandler is against marriage. Monica says that there other people who want to marry her-- like Richard. Joey is shocked to hear that Richard wants to marry Monica so he then tries to tell her that Chandler loves marriage, but Monica doesn't listen and leaves.

Joey (still dressed like a captain) is on the phone at Chandler and Monica's, he is asking Gunther if he has seen Chandler then he asks what kind of muffins they serve at sea. Then Chandler enters. Joey asks where he has been. Chandler responds, "I was making a coconut phone with the Professor." Joey tells him that he was been looking for him because Richard told Monica that he loves her and wants to marry her. Chandler is pissed and says that he should go and kick Richard's ass. He asks Joey to help him, but Joey thinks that getting both their asses kicked is not a good solution. Joey tells Chandler to just find Monica. Chandler grabs the ring and runs out.

I believe the next scene was a pre-taped scene with Ross at his apartment. Rachel stops by and asks him to be his back-up marriage guy. Ross says that would like to but he is already Phoebe's back-up. Rachel tells him that Phoebe has Joey as a back-up.

The next scene is Monica arriving at Richard's apartment. She doesn't know why she is there. Monica says she is upset at Chandler. Richard asks if she ever thought about him after they broke up. Monica said that she thought about him a couple months ago because she didn't like her new eye doctor. Richard then asks her if she even thought about him in a non-eye doctor way. She says no because getting over him was one of the hardest things she's ever done, so she doesn't let herself think about him.

The next scene was another pre-taped scene. Rachel and Phoebe are at the coffee house, Ross and Joey burst in telling Phoebe to choose her back-up. Phoebe says that she can't decide-- Ross is good with kids and Joey has a boat. They then want to become Rachel's back-up. Phoebe tells them not to be hasty. Rachel then says she'll write Joey's name and then Ross's name and then they'll pick a name and stick with him as a back-up. Phoebe draws Ross and Rachel draws Joey. But then they switch.

Monica is still at Richard's apartment. She comments on how it looks like grown-up's apartment. She then says that what she should want-- a grown-up. Richard agrees and says she should go for one with a license to practice medicine and mustache. Monica says she wants a guy who will come to her work and tell her he loves her not someone who talks about pig sex over lunch. She goes on to say that it's not fair how Richard didn't want to marry her then and how Chandler doesn't want to marry her now. Richard hugs her and comforts her. Monica is confused and says she needs to leave and figure stuff out.

Richard's apartment- there's a knock at the door Richard gets up to get the it and it's Chandler. Chandler asks where Monica is and that he is not afraid of Richard. Richard says she's not there. Chandler is pissed because Richard told his girlfriend he loves her and made her think about stuff. Richard tells Chandler he is not willing to offer Monica things that he can. Chandler says that he was going to propose but pretended to be against marriage so it would be a surprise. Chandler goes on to say that it's not fair because he and Monica are meant to be together and that Richard had lost his chance. Richard tells Chandler to go get Monica and not let her go. Chandler thanks Richard and leaves, he runs back in because he forgot the ring.

Chandler is in the hallway about to go into their apartment. Joey comes out and tells him that Monica packed and left to her parents. She doesn't want Chandler not to call. Chandler tells Joey how he should have told Monica that it was all a mistake and that Chandler doesn't really feel that way. Joey says he tried but Monica didn't believe him. Chandler feels he just messed it all up. Joey says he's sorry. (How I've described the scene does not do justice to how Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc played it. They played it with real emotion and both are near tears.)

Chandler enters the apartment which is dimmed and decorated with candles all around. Monica is standing there and tells Chandler, "Well you wanted it to be a surprise." Chandler looks to Joey who smiles and quietly leaves. Chandler walks to Monica who bends on one knee. She attempts to propose but gets caught up in tears and tells him that girls are not good at this. Chandler gets down on his knees too and tells her how happy she has made him and that he hopes she will give him the rest of their lives to try to make her just as happy. He asks her to marry him and she says yes. They kiss and hug. (The scene was done so beautifully by Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox Arquette. It is a sweet and beautiful moment. I was trying hard not to cry!) Through the door Joey in an emotional voice yells to let them in. Phoebe, Joey and Rachel enter. Monica says they're engaged. They all hug. Phoebe breaks it up and was it's wrong because Ross isn't there. Rachel says that Ross has done this 3 times already, so he knows what it's like. They all hug again.

I pray to god that it isn't the end.

There you have it. Here's what we have to look forword to in the next month. I hope this not the last time we will ever see new "Friends" episodes. By the way, any spelling errors you found weren't mine. I didn't type this. I just copied and pasted. :-)
