Attack of Cockatoos on Australia Zoo's Birds Leaves Tragedy
I am sorry to announce the death of one of Australia Zoo's more well known tame cockatoos, Cocky. Cocky was a wonderful bird that pretty much belonged to Tracie, one of the Australia Zoo team members.
The entire zoo has been saddened by the event, but will go on. The wild cockatoos had pushed Cocky and Joe-Bob, Cocky's pal, into dangerous areas of the zoo for cockatoos. Joe-Bob was hurt by one of the eagles in a near-by
exhibit, but is ok now. Cocky, however, was killed by one of the guard dogs, Shadow. Shadow was just doing what his instinct told him to and shouldn't have to pay too high a price. We all miss Cocky.
Sui- the Dog Wonder from Down Under
Sadly, just recently, Sui has been diagnosed with cancer. Steve and the rest of the family
have been staying with her long hours during her kimo sessions and helping her pull
through. I hope she does.
