Natalie smiled at Chad, picking up her purse. "Thanks for the drink," she told him, leaving Break Bar. She liked Chad, he was a nice guy, but she wasn't interested in him the way he was interested in her. Walking into the warm night, her mind trailed off.
~Cristian walked around, trying to collect his thoughts. He and Jen had been over for a long time now, but only tonight had it came crashing down. She just snapped, went crazy, and it broke his heart. He loved her, and in a way always would. But he could no longer hold on to her. Shaking his head, he walked on.
~In the alley behind Break Bar, Natalie stopped for a brief moment, kicking the piece of paper the had blown onto her shoe off. At that moment a man approached her.
~Entering Break Bar, Cris sat down and started a conversation with Chad, trying to clear his mind. They talked, laughed, and joked for a short while.
~"Hey there," the man's voice came.
Natalie spun around. "Hello," she murmured, walking away."Not so fast," he said, walking towards her. "What's in the purse. No wait. Natalie. I know you, every one knows you, the real Buchanan baby. So you probably got tons of money in that designer hand bag," he spoke, fingering the strap of her bag.
"Leave me alone," she told him, trying to run away. He grabbed her, stopping her getaway.
~Cristian said good-bye to Chad and left the bar, using the back door. Outside, the first thing he heard was "Let go!" He rushed to the female voice, seeing Natalie.
"Let her go!" he demanded, pulling the man off her. "What the hell did you think you were doing?" he asked, punching the guy.
"Hey man, chill out. I wasn't going to hurt her, I was just looking for some money," he stammered, running off.
"Are you OK? Did that creep hurt you?" he asked her, holding her close.
She blinked back a few tears. "No, I'm fine."
"You sure?" he asked again.
"Yeah. Oh my God, Cris, thank you so much, if you weren't here.....I'm just glad you were," she told him.
"Let's get you home," he told her, leading her toward Llanfair.
~"You OK?" Cristian asked again, as she sat on her bed.
"I'm fine, really, you can go now, back to Jen, I'm she's wondering where you've been."
"Me and Jen are over," he admitted, looking at her.
"Over? Since when?" she blurted out. "Oh Cris, I'm sorry," she said sincerely, patting his hand.
"Thanks."
"What went wrong?" she asked softly.
"Everything. She's changed," he shortly said.
"I know a thing or two about breaking up," she admitted, remembering the last heart to heart they had about lost loves. She blushed.
"Seth."
"Yeah. Seth."
"You moved on though," he started.
"Yeah, and you will too."
"I think I already have."
She raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? So soon?" she asked, laughter in her voice.
"Yeah," he said softly moving closer.
She looked at him as their lips met in a sweet kiss.
