"Twin Trouble"

Logline: A continuation to the story "A New Home" in which the twins, Mark and Matt, fly to New York to grant a friend's wish

Set-up: All is concurrent with the series, except for the addition of Oscar's adopted children

"Come on guys" Oscar called from the entryway of their new house. I don't want you two to be late on your first day in a new school." Danny had already grabbed his things as was waiting in the car.

"Marc, Matt let's get a move on." He called again.

"Here we are dad." They called as they came down the stairs. "We're ready."

"Mary we're leaving. Don't forget to pick the twins up at 3:00. I don't want them to walk home by themselves."

"I'll be there Mr. Goldman." She said as she dressed Joey for school

When they got to the elementary school Oscar turned to Danny, "Wait right here, I'll be right back."

"Ok." Danny took a book from his backpack and started thumbing through it.

Oscar walked the boys into the school building. "Now I want you two to behave yourselves understand?"

"We will." They answered together. 'It seems like they do that more and more,' Oscar thought to himself.

They walked into the principal's office. "I'm Oscar Goldman. My sons are starting here today."

"Yes Sir I'm Phil Johnston. I'm the principal. Let's see Marc has Mr. Elder. And Matt has Miss Frank. Come on boys, I'll take you to your classrooms."

"I'll just go on ahead then. I filled out all the paper work. So you should have my private number at work. The call will go directly to me, if you need to contact me. Oh, before I forget. We have an appointment with Judge Owen on Wednesday. I' m adopting all of my nephews. We make it official on Wednesday."

"That's fine. Do you want us to use Goldman as their last name then?"

"I would appreciate it."

"No problem." He took the twins by a hand and walked them to their rooms.

Mr. Johnston knocked on Mr. Elder's door. "Sean, this is Marc Goldman. He is going to be joining your class." She introduced Matt. "This is his brother Matt. He has Miss Franks.”

The Principal tapped on Ms. Franks' door. "Ellen, This is Matthew Goldman he is going to be in your room. He has a twin brother across the hall in Sean Elder's room."

"Very good. Matthew."

"I go by Matt."

"Very well Matt you can take this seat right here." She turned to the class. "Class, we have a new student. His name is Matt, I want you to make him feel welcome."

The same thing was going on across the hall in Mr. Elders' room "Ok gang we have some one new to our little group. I want you to all give a great big room 106 welcome to Mr. Marc Goldman."

At recess Marc and Matt met up with each other. "How do you like your teacher Marc?"

"He's great. I really like him."

"I like Ms. Frank too She's pretty."

After recess they went their own way back into their own classrooms

"Hey Marc want to sit by me at lunch? My name is Timmy."

"I don't know. I might want to sit with Matt."

"You can't. You have to sit with your class."

In Matt's room Ms. Frank hadn't come into the room yet. Matt had just sat back down in his desk, when a bigger boy, who looked to big for the second grade walked up to him.

"Hey Goldman. Give me you milk money."

"No way it's my milk money."

Trevor leaned over Matt's desk. "I said give me your milk money or I'll blacken both your eyes."

Matt reached into his pocket and pulled out the quarter his 'dad' had given him before he left. He handed him the quarter.

"Now we do this everyday. I get everybody's milk money and those that don't give me their milk money live to regret it." Trevor sneered.

While Matt was handing over his milk money to Trevor, Oscar dropped Danny at the Richmond school before he went to work. "You have a good day."

"I will dad."

"Don't forget, Russ will pick you up at 3:00 to take you to work with Rudy. I'm glad you changed your major."

"Me too. See you this afternoon."

"Don't forget to give that note to your teacher. It explains why you will be gone on Wednesday."

"I won't forget." Danny walked into his school.

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

At lunchtime Marc walked over to Matt's table "Why didn't you take milk?"

Matt looked at Marc and began to talk to him so that only the two of them knew what he was saying.

"SEE THAT KID OVER THERE. HE STOLE MY MILK MONEY. HE SAYS HE TAKES EVERY BODY'S MONEY EVERDAY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO."

"I DO. YOU LET ME KNOW IF HE DOES IT TOMORROW. I'LL SHOW HIM."

Mr. Elder came over to Marc. "Come on sport, we sit at this table." Marc went with hi, leaving his brother at the mercy of a bully.

After school Mary was there to pick them up. The boys got into the back seat.

"DID HE GIVE YOU ANYMORE TROUBLE?"

"NO IN FACT ONE OF THE KIDS SAID HE ONLY DOES THAT IN THE MORNIG."

"WELL HE'S NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH IT."

"ARE YOU TELLING DAD?"

"NO WAY, HE'D ONLY COME TO THE SCHOOL AND MAKE MORE TROUBLE. I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT."

"HOW WILL YOU TAKE CARE OF IT?"

"I HAVE AN IDEA. IF HE TAKES YOUR MONEY TOMORROW, ON THURSDAY WE WILL SWITCH PLACES. I'LL PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE."

"MAYBE IT WILL BE NEAT HAVING A BIONIC BROTHER AFTER ALL."

"What are you two talking about back there?"

"Nothing" They said.

"You better not be plotting anything."

The twins looked out the window. "Mary" Marc said. "Where are we going?"

"Rudy wants to see Marc So I am taking you there."

"Oh" they answered again.

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

They arrived at the OSI building. The guard at the gate looked in the car. "Hi Marc. Your dad is waiting for you in Rudy's office. I'll escort you up there."

"I want Matt to come with me."

"Sorry Matt doesn't have clearance to go there."

“Then I'm not going."

Matt started talking to his brother.

"LET'S NOT TELL HIM WHICH IS MARC AND WHICH IS MATT.'

"THAT'S SOUNDS GOOD TO ME"

"Now stop that, boys." Mary scolded.

"Which ever one of us is Marc" Marc began

"Which we're not going to tell you." Matt added

"Is not going with out Matt." Marc concluded.

"You can't tell us apart." They said together. "You can take one of us, but if you take the wrong one, Dr. Wells is going to be very upset."

Defeated the guard was left with no choice but to allow Matt to go with his brother.

"I can't tell them apart either" Mary lied when the guard looked to her for help. "I'll see you boys at home tonight."

"See you Mary"

"I'm sorry Sir." The guard said when he got up to Rudy's office. "They wouldn't tell me which was which. And Marc wouldn't come without Matt."

"That's fine. They can both be here."

"I didn't know that."

"Well now you do." Oscar warned.

"Hi Marc." Rudy said. "Michael is on vacation, but he wanted me to check on something. Just sit back and relax."

Oscar turned to Matt. "Matt, why don't you come with me?"

"Ok."

"How did everything go at school today?"

"Alright I guess."

"Just alright huh?"

"I don't have any complaints."

Russ showed up at that moment with Danny.

"Hi Dan. Ready to get to work?" Oscar asked.

"Sure."

"Just go on in son. Rudy is expecting you?"

"Ok."

"Come on in Danny" Rudy said. "I want to show you something."

Danny walked over to where Rudy stood.

"I want you to try this. Just connect this wire right here to this circuit right here."

Dan took the instrument that Rudy gave him. "Like this?"

"Perfect. Does that feel better Marc?"

"Yea, I didn't even know anything was wrong. But what ever you did it does feel better what did you do?"

"Just a little repair job."

"You did just fine Dan"

"Thanks."

Oscar poked his head into Rudy's office. "Is Marc ready. I need to get them home. They have to eat dinner and get ready for bed."

"Yea we're finished. Dan, you'll be here all day tomorrow right?"

"I sure will"

"Ok, we'll see you then."

"He won't be here till after lunch on Wednesday. That is when the adoptions are finalized. I thought we would go to lunch afterward. Do you want to join us?"

"We'll see. I have a lot of work to do."

Sounding a little disappointed, "I was hoping we could celebrate."

"Well I'll have to check my schedule Oscar. I don't know if I can make it or not."

"I understand. I was just. Never mind."

He took the boys out to the car. And they started home.

Smiling Rudy picked up the phone and dialed. "Jaime, Rudy. Are you and Steve still planning on coming on Wednesday?

"We wouldn't miss it for the world. Steve has been visiting his parents this week. We are flying in on Wednesday morning. We should be there when they come out of the courthouse."

"That's great. I told him I thought I had plans that day. Too busy, he almost cried. I think."

"Oscar, Cry? I don't believe it."

"Those kids have changed him. He's is even different around here."

"Oh Rudy I know. He isn't as grumpy as he used to be. He even says please when he asks you to go on an assignment."

"I know. Do you and Steve need me to pick you up at the airport?

"That would be great. By the way, how is Marc doing?"

"Better than any of us expected. It is remarkable how well he adjusted and how quickly. They started their new school today. I haven't heard any bad reports anyway. Danny starts working with me tomorrow for his class project.

"That is wonderful. I am so glad Dan changed his major. Hopefully in a few years it will take a lot of the burden off of you. I mean between Michael and Danny it should work out great."

"Hey I'm not ready for the rocking chair yet. So please don't put me there."

"I'm sorry Rudy. I didn't mean it that way."

"I know."

"Anyway, I'll see you Wednesday."

"What time will you be here?"

"Oh I'd say around 11:00 or so."

"Ok see you at Dulles on Wednesday then."

“Right"

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

At dinner that night Oscar asked how the twins day at school went. "How was the first day at your new school guys?"

"Well," Matt started.

Marc gave him a slight kick under the table. They started jabbering again.

"I SAID I WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. DON'T TELL HIM, HE'LL JUST GO TO THE SCHOOL AND MAKE TROUBLE. I KNOW HOW TO FIX IT SO THAT TREVOR DOESN'T BOTHER ANY KID EVER AGAIN."

"OK"

"It was fine dad." Matt answered.

"How bout you Marc?"

"I think I already have a friend. His name is Timmy. He asked me to sit by him at lunch."

"Well that's good. Matt did you like Timmy?"

"We don't get to sit together. We have to sit with our class."

"Well I guess the school saw the two of you coming. I like that rule."

"Well we don't!!"

Oscar and Danny laughed. "It's ok guys" Danny said. "You're together all the time here. It's good that you make your own friends."

"Well if you two are finished I suggest you go upstairs and get ready for bed. Then you can do your homework."

"Ok dad" They got up from the table and raced upstairs, as always Oscar kept a close watch on Marc. 'He holds back very well' He thought to himself.

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

The next morning Oscar not only had to drop the twins off at their school, buy Mary had asked if he could start dropping Joey off as well. It would give her a head start on her housework.

They stopped at Joey's school first. Oscar was kind of glad that Mary had asked him to drop Joey off. He had never seen Joey's new school or met his teachers.

"Hi you must by Joey's dad. I'm Miss Kent. I'm Joey's teacher."

"Yes I am. How is he getting along?"

"Mr. Goldman. He is doing great. We are hoping that next fall, he can start kindergarten in the school system."

"That is great. He is making that much progress?"

"Yes he is. We are very proud of him."

"Well so are we. I wish I could stay more, but I have a car full of kids downstairs. I have to drop them off at their respective schools."

"I understand. Come on Joey. Let's get started."

Before he went with the teacher, Joey turned and gave his new dad a hug. And Oscar thought for just one second he looked right at him.

Next to drop off were the twins. "Can you two go in by yourselves? We're running rather late this morning."

"Sure dad, no problem."

"Ok then see you tonight. You have your homework and everything."

"All set" They said and headed for the school building.

Marc went into Mr. Elders' room and Matt went across the hall to Ms Franks's room.

“REMEMBER WHAT I SAID BIG BROTHER. I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT. YOU LET ME KNOW IF HE BOTHERS ANYONE ELSE TODAY.”

"What kind of a language is that?" Timmy asked Marc as they walked into room.

"It's our own." Marc answered proudly.

In Matt's room it was business as usual.

"Good morning" Trevor said taking the cap off of his head. "Does anyone know what time it is?"

"8:30" Matt answered.

"Wrong Goldman. It's milk money time. Everyone gives me their milk money."

"And if I don't?"

Trevor made a fist and stuck in under Matt's nose. "Then you will eat lunch through a straw cause you won't have any teeth."

Matt handed him the quarter, as did everyone else in the room.

Before Ms. Franks came into the room Trevor once again walked over to Matt. "I'm only going to explain this once more for the new kid. You see this is the drill you give me your milk money and I won't break your face. I don't want anymore arguments about it, Ok?"

"Yea, sure, ok."

After Oscar arrived at headquarters he escorted Danny up to Rudy's lab. "Rudy Dan's here. I'll see you at lunch, son."

"Ok Dad."

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

That night at dinner "I want everyone ready for bed early tonight. We have a big day tomorrow. I'm keeping you all home from school so we can go talk to Judge Owen."

As they headed upstairs Marc and Matt were jabbering to one another.

"Does it seem like they do that all the time anymore.”

"I know. I wonder if they're talking about us.”

"DID HE BOTHER AGAIN TODAY?"

"YES HE DID. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD KNOCK OUT ALL MY TEETH IF I DIDN'T GIVE HIM THE MONEY."

"I'LL."

"That's enough of that, boys. I want you to use the English language please."

"Ok" They said.

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

Wednesday morning Oscar sat outside the judge's chambers. He had all four boys, and Mary with him. "I hope this goes smoothly I am anxious to call you guys my sons."

Just then the door opened and the court clerk stepped out. "Mr. Goldman, the judge will see you now."

"Thank you. Come on guys."

They all followed the clerk into the Judges Chambers. "Please everyone, have a seat," the judge said pleasantly. "Now Mr. Goldman are you sure you want to adopt all four boys."

"Yes your honor, I am very sure."

"Fine, I have one more question. Is this what you boys want?"

"Yes Sir." They all said. Even Joey was in on the action.

The judged turned to Mary. "You are Joseph's private nurse?"

"That is correct, Your Honor."

"And your work has mainly been with autistic children?"

"Yes."

"Ok, I have no problem with allowing this adoption to take place." The judge waited 5 minutes, which seemed like five hours for anyone that wanted to raise an objection to do so.

As the judge signed each paper he handed it to Oscar. From now on these children shall be known as Daniel James Goldman, Marc David Goldman, Matthew Jacob Goldman and Joseph Patrick Goldman. You may take your sons home now."

"Thank you your honor." Oscar said.

Oscar and the kids left the courthouse. Steve, Jaime and Rudy were waiting for them.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We thought we would take you to lunch."

"This is quite a surprise. Rudy, you sad you couldn't make it. Then am I to assume you're treating?"

"Treating? I never thought of that. Ok, I guess we can do that." Jaime teased. "Do you want to meet us at the restaurant?"

"Yea we decided on Mulligan's. The kids love it. I'm just glad that this whole thing is over. They are my kids now. No one can take them away form me."

"Dad" Marc and Matt said. "Can we ride with Steve?"

"It's ok with me, if it's ok with Steve."

"Yea, it's fine with me. You two just need to behave yourselves."

"We will, we promise." They said together.

Steve opened the back door of his car. "Ok guys hop in."

The twins scampered into the back seat. Steve slid into the driver’s seat.

"Ok guys, are you ready. Put those seatbelts on."

"Do we have to?"

"Yes, come on put them on or we're not going anywhere."

They fastened their seatbelts and Steve started driving.

Even though they had on their seat belts, they could still reach each other. They started wrestling and chattering in that strange language of theirs.

"ANYWAY.' Marc said. "AS I STARTED TO SAY LAST NIGHT. I'LL SWITCH PLACES WITH YOU TOMORROW AND TEACH TREVOR A LESON HE WON'T SOON FORGET."

"I'M JUST GLAD THERE IS NO SCHOOL TODAY. I'M REALLY TIRED OF GIVING HIM MY LUNCHMONEY EVERYDAY."

"YOU WON'T HAVE TO AFTER TOMORROW."

Steve kept one eye on the road, and the other on the review mirror. He was afraid Marc might forget himself and hurt Matt. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Oh nothing" they answered, giggling.

Steve laughed. "If you're talking about me?"

"No we're not talking about you."

"Then why don't you talk so I can understand you."

"We don't want to."

'Sounds reasonable enough' Steve thought to himself as he pulled up in front of Mulligans.

They all arrived at the restaurant at the same time. They parked next to each other and headed into the restaurant. "Rudy, you made the reservations didn't you? " Oscar said as they all walked inside.

"That I did. This is why I told you to let me make them. I knew how many were coming. You didn't know Steve and Jaime were going to surprise you."

"I know it was quite a surprise.

"Well I'm just glad someone made reservations, they look pretty busy to me." Steve said.

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

After lunch they all went their own way. Steve said he would meet Oscar in his office. Rudy took Danny so they could work together. Jaime went to the hotel to check in for the weekend and Mary took Joey and the twins home."

On the drive home Mary asked the twins. "In view of the special occasion, is there anything special you kids would like for dinner tonight?”

"Chocolate cake" Joey said.

"Is that ok with you two?"

"Yummy" They said.

"Ok then. When we get home Joey is taking a nap you two do your homework. I'll get the cake started."

When they got back to the house the twins went up to their room but homework was the last thing on their mind."

"WE BETTER TALK OUR SEPCIAL WAY. JUST IN CASE SOMEONE OVER HEARS US." Matt started "JUST WANT ARE YOUR PLANS TOMORROW?”

"I THINK I WILL LET IT BE A SURPRISE."

"YOU DON'T KNOW YET, DO YOU?"

"OF COURSE I DO. I JUST DON'T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW ABOUT IT YET. BUT BELIEVE ME, WHEN I GET FINISHED WITH TREVOR, HE WON'T EVER BOTHER YOU OR ANYONE ELSE EVER AGAIN."

I HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT. I JUST HOPE DAD AND DR. WELLS DON'T FIND OUT. YOUR AREN'T SUPPOSED TO USE YOUR BIONICS OUSIDE RUDY'S OFFICE."

"I KNOW I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT, BUT I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE. NO ONE PICKS ON MY BROTHER AND GETS AWAY WITH IT."

I'M GLAD YOU WANT TO HELP ME. JUST DON'T GET IN TROUBLE."

"Boys it's time to eat. Your dad and brother are home."

Marc and Matt ran down the stairs to greet their dad. "Hi dad!" They said together.

"Hi guys. Do I smell chocolate cake?"

"Yup" Joey said. "Joey's chocolate cake."

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

The next morning the twins came downstairs for breakfast.

"What are you two up to?" Oscar asked, "You both look like the cat that swallowed the canary."

"Nothing dad. We're just getting ready to go to school"

"Now why don't I believe that?" Oscar laughed. "I don't want the principal calling me today reporting that you two have been up to your tricks."

"They won't."

"Let's hope so. Come on guys. We need to get going."

They all got into the car. After dropping Joey off, Oscar dropped the twins off at their school. After the got out of the car and headed for the school Oscar turned to Danny. "They’re up to something. I only wish I knew what it was. If they would speak English that would help."

"I think you’re right. I know several languages and I still can't figure that one out."

The twins walked into the school. "OK MATT. YOU GO ON INTO MR. ELDERS ROOM. I'LL GO INTO MS. FRANKS’S CLASS"

"OK GOOD LUCK. I SIT IN THE SECOND ROW THIRD SEAT."

"I SIT IN THE FOURTH ROW, THIRD SEAT. I SHOWED YOU TIMMY SO IF HE SAYS SOMETHING YOU WILL KNOW WHO HE IS."

Marc headed into Ms. Franks' class. He sat in Matt's seat. He had only been there two minutes when Trevor walked in.

"It's milk money time."

Everyone in the class took their money out and laid it on their desks. Trevor went around collecting his earnings.

When he got to Matt's desk the quarter sat on the corner of the desk. "Do you really want it that badly?" Marc asked.

Trevor reached for the quarter.

Marc pressed his four finger of his right hand against his thumb and flicked the quarter across the room. It shot off of Matt's desk and through the teacher's desk and embedded itself in the wall.

"If you ever bother any of these kids again I can do the same thing just as easy with you head.

Ms. Franks walked into the room. Trevor stood staring at Marc. The rest of the class was doing the same.

It took Ms. Franks only a second to see the hole in the wall. "Who did that?"

"Matt!" the whole room said.

"Matt Goldman. You and I are visiting the principal's office young man." She grabbed him by his elbow and led him to the principal's office.

"Phil, do you know what he did? He put a hole through my desk and the wall behind it with a quarter."

"I don't believe it."

"Well go to my room and see there is a hole straight through my desk and the quarter is still in the wall."

Mr. Johnston walked down to Ms. Franks' room. He saw the hole in the desk and the wall. "Who did this?" He asked the class. "Matt did. He flicked a quarter off of his desk and it landed in the wall." A boy named Billy in the front row said.

Back down in his office. Mr. Johnston said to Marc, "I'm going to have to call your dad on this one. Someone has to pay the damage."

He sat down behind his desk and dialed the direct number to Oscar's office.

Oscar was in the middle of talking to Steve, Rudy and Jaime the call came in.

"Yes this is Oscar Goldman. And you are?”

"Mr. Goldman, This is Phil Johnston. I am the principal at Marc and Matt's school."

"What can I do for you?"

"We had a little incident regarding Matt this morning. "

"What happened?"

"Well it appears he put a hole in the wall of his class room with a quarter."

"He did what!!" Jaime, Steve and Rudy who had been talking amongst themselves while Oscar took the call turned in Oscar's direction.

"Mr. Goldman, someone is going to have to pay for the damage."

"I understand. I'll be right there."

Oscar hung up the phone. "That was the school. Matt put a whole in the teacher's desk and the wall with a quarter.”

"Matt?"

"Well the school thinks it's Matt. I'm sure it was Marc. I have to get over to the school. Do you want to come along?"

"Yes I do." Jaime answered. "Oscar, that is not like Marc at all."

"Well I intend to get to the bottom of it. Rudy I think I want you to be ready to tune him down when we get back. Obviously he can't handle that much strength.”

"Oscar don't do that." Steve objected. "Marc must have had a good reason for…"

"Disobeying me? He is not to use bionic strength outside of the lab at all. He knows that we have all told him enough."

"Oscar I agree with Steve. Let's wait and see why he did it before we jump to any conclusions."

"I'm willing to give him the benefit of a doubt. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe something is wrong. I'm riding along too." Rudy added.

"Ok. Steve you coming too?"

"Yea I agree with Rudy and Jaime. Maybe something is wrong. That's happened to me before."

"Well I doubt that. You see Marc was in Matt's class when this happened. In fact I suspected something first thing this morning."

They were in the car on their way to the school. "So they switched places huh ?" Rudy said.

"Yes they did. That's why I don't believe it was an accident."

smdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdmsmdm

When they got to the school they found Marc sitting in the principal's office.

"I want to show you the damage first."

They followed him down to Ms. Franks' room. “Here you see the quarter is still in the wall."

"I see Oscar said."

"I don't know how much it is going to cost to repair the damage."

"Where are the children?" Oscar asked.

"They are at recess."

"Can I see Matt."

"Yes. Right this way"

They got back down to Mr. Johnston's office. Marc was still sitting there.

"First of all this is not Matt. It's Marc. I want to speak to my son alone."

"Very well. I'll be in the outer office."

"Marc, what in the world did you think you were doing?"

"I'm sorry dad."

"Why would you do such a thing? I thought we told you, you are not to use your bionics outside of the OSI."

"I know but I had to."

"No you didn't have to."

"Yes I did."

"Marc there is no..."

"Oscar.” Jaime said in a calm voice, “Let him explain."

"Ok" Oscar said "You have 30 seconds."

There is this kid in Matt's class named Trevor. Everyday since we started he had taken Matt's milk money."

"I'm listening. You just gained another minute."

"Thanks. Nobody wants to stop him. I think the teacher is afraid of him. He takes everybody's lunch money. I just wanted to show him he's not going to push any body around anymore."

"That's still no excuse, but I guess I will forgive it this once."

Oscar informed the principal he could come back into the room "Let's discuss a boy named Trevor. Apparently he has been extorting his entire class out of their lunch money."

"We are aware of the problems with Trevor."

"And what are you doing about it?"

"Trevor is seeing the school counsellor."

"Sounds like he needs more time in the counselor's office to me." Oscar grumbled.

"Well Trevor has some problems."

"NO!! You're joking" Oscar snorted.

Let's not get sarcastic Mr. Goldman."

"Look I am not sending the boys to school that can't handle a seven year old boy."

"Trevor is nine."

"Why is a nine year old in the second grade?

"I told you, Trevor has some problems. He's been held back a couple of times."

"You mean to tell me a nine year old is in the same room with seven year olds?"

"That's correct."

I can't believe it. I'm not sending my sons to this school anymore. I'll send them to private school."

"Mr. Goldman you can't."

"Oh yes I can. If you can't control Trevor, I don't want my sons around him. Oh and his parents can pay for the damage to the wall and desk. I am well aware of the fact too that you get monies from the state of VA for every student you have. Well thanks to Trevor, you just lost two. I refuse to send my sons to a school where a nine year old bully is able to rule."

"Mr. Goldman please be reasonable."

"I am being reasonable, I feel I'm being very reasonable. If I were being unreasonable you would be looking at a lawsuit. Oh and speaking of lawsuits, if you want your wall and desk paid for. I suggest that you talk to Trevor's parents. Please give me my son's records so I can enrol them in their new school."

Phil Johnston reached into the file and removed Marc and Matt's files. "Here you are. I am very sorry that things didn't work out."

Thank you. Let's go Marc. We'll pick up Matt on the way out. By the way you are grounded for a week for using your bionics away from Rudy's lab." Oscar said as they walked down the hall to Matt's room.

"I'll accept that."

"Look Marc, I know you were only trying to stick up for your brother but you can't do that. What if someone suspects. You could be in serious danger."

"Your dad's right " Steve said speaking for the first time. "We have dealt with that for years."

They picked up Matt and were on there way home in a matter of moments.

"In the mean time, until I can get them into Bates Academy would you teach them Jaime?"

"Of course I would love to."
