Max sat in his room with Liz, and Isabel. They had just gotten back from the UFO center, and experimenting with Brody. They were all in shock from what Brody(Larok), had told them. To get off the planet. Max turned to Liz. " Liz, I think it would be safer now, if you left. Just go back to whatever you were doing before I came and picked you up."
" Max this is important. I don't want to leave."
" Thank you Liz for looking out for us and for your help, but for now it would be better if you left." Liz didn't want to argue with Max. She knew that Max didn't want her there, and that he saw her in a different light.
" Okay." Liz stood up, and began walking to the door. Isabel eyed Max.
Signaling him to go after her and talk. Max brought his voice to a whisper, " Isabel, not now."
Isabel rolled her eyes and then waited for Liz to leave. " We need to call Michael, and tell him whats going on."
" How are we going to reach him? I don't know Maria's cell phone number."
" Liz!"
" What about Liz?"
" Liz has Maria's cell phone number." Max sighed.
" I am going to do more research concerning Poleman Ranch." Max then turned away from Isabel, and then continued with an obvious hint of sadness. " Go to Liz and get Maria's number."
" Me? Why can't you talk to her?" Max brought his voice to a demanding tone.
" Isabel. Don't argue with me." Isabel rolled her eyes and then ran after Liz.
Isabel ran down the hallway and out the front door.
Liz was halfway down the street when she heard her name being called. She stopped and turned to see Isabel running towards her. " Isabel, what's going on?" Isabel took a minute to catch her breath and then answered. " We need Maria's cell phone number."
" Oh, yeah sure." Liz reached into her bag, and pulled out a piece of paper and pen. She then wrote down Maria's cell phone number.
" Thanks Liz."
" Yeah, no problem." Liz then quickly turned and began walking home.
Max sat back in his chair, staring at the computer screen. Who was he kidding? He couldn't do research let alone focus. All he could think about was Liz on the couch with Sean. He was touching and tickling her. Max groaned and then stood up, knocking his papers to the floor. " Damn it."
Max quickly looked up to the sound of his bedroom door, being opened. It was his mother, Diane and Isabel. " Max, honey what's wrong?"
" Oh, um nothing. It's this project I am working on for Biology. I can't seem to figure it out." Diane nodded.
" Well okay. Your father and I are going to bed now. So I will see both of you in the morning." Max and Isabel nodded as their mother left.
Isabel shut Max's door and then turned to him. " I have Maria's cell phone number."
" Okay good." Max began reaching for the paper, but stopped. Brushing one hand through his hair. " Liz was walking home, alone. Wasn't she?"
" Well yeah." Max groaned as he brushed pass Isabel.
" Iam going after her. It was stupid of me to let her go home alone." Isabel grabbed Max' s arm.
" Wait. What about calling Michael?"
" I want you to call him. Tell him what's going on and that he needs to come back."
Liz walked down the street with her arms crossed, hoping to keep warm. She was startled by the sound of an approaching car. Liz kept looking in front of her, not wanting the person in the vehicle to notice her. She could hear the vehicle slowing down. Her fears were put to rest when she heard a familiar voice call her name. Liz smiled as she turned to see Max. " Liz, come on. I will take you home."
" Yeah thanks. That would be great."
Liz ran around to the passenger's side and stepped in, and then closed the door.
" I am sorry Liz. I shouldn't have let you walk home alone."
" No, Max it's okay."
Throughout the ride, Liz attempted to make eye contact with Max, but he kept his eyes on the road. The ride to Liz's house was silent. Neither one of them said a single word. Once Max had arrived at the Crashdown, he unlocked the door, so that Liz could step out. Before leaving the Jeep, Liz turned to Max." Thanks again."
Max just nodded, not saying anything. Liz sighed and then spoke again.
" Max..." Still avoiding eye contact, Max spoke interrupting Liz.
" Goodnight Liz." Liz sadly nodded.
" Goodnight Max." She then walked into the Crashdown, without giving a second look.
Max started the Jeep and headed home, as a single tear slid down his cheek.
Liz quietly crept into her room, not wanting to wake her parents, throwing her things to the ground. She then walked over to her dresser, picking up a picture of Max. Holding the picture to her heart, Liz crawled onto her bed, and cried.
Once Max arrived back home, he ran upstairs to Isabel's room. Opening the door, Max realized that she was sleeping. Not wanting to disturb her, he quietly shut her door, and then went to his room. Max shut his door, and flipped the lights on. He opened his dresser drawer, pulling out a picture of Liz. Holding the picture to his heart, Max crawled onto his bed. What happened to us? Max was distracted from his thoughts, when he saw that the parasite was glowing red, not green. Max stood up and began walking towards the parasite, but suddenly stopped by a wave of dizziness. He sat down, and rubbed his eyes. Max turned so that he was facing his bedroom mirror. Slowly he removed his hands from his face, revealing the color red in flickering in his eyes. Max stood up, noticing that the parasite was gone. An evil smile formed on his face followed by an evil laughter.
NEXT MORINING-
Isabel finished getting ready for school, and then ran to the front door to meet Max. Isabel noticed that Max was ready,and waiting by the front door.
" Okay Max, let's go."
" You're late."
" I know. I'm sorry. I woke up late."
" I don't want to hear your excuses! If you can't be at the front door by 7:30 A.M. then you can walk your ass to school." Max then strolled out to the Jeep, with a confused Isabel following him. They both hopped into the Jeep, and sped off.
As Max was driving through the neighborhood, Isabel noticed that his speed was rising. " Um..Max. This is a 25MPH zone. You are going 55MPH. Slow down."
Max rolled his eyes. " I am glad that you can count." Max then put his Linkin Park cd in, song " With You." He turned the volume up, drowning out Isabel's voice.
Liz was getting ready for school, when her cell phone began ringing. " Hello."
" Hey girl, it's Maria!"
" Oh My God Maria. Where are you?"
" I am impatiently sitting outside the Crashdown, with Michael and Laurie. We are waiting for you to get your cute butt down here."
" Wait Maria. I thought that you and the others were out of town."
" We were, but Isabel called us last night at 9:00P.M., tellling us to come back. So we hauled ass to get back here. Now come on. You are going to make us late for school." Liz laughed.
" Okay, Iam coming."
Liz grabbed her things and ran outside, as she said goodbye to her parents.
Laurie was sitting quietly in the back seat, biting her nails. Michael noticed this and then spoke. " Hey Laurie don't worry. We won't let anything happen to you. While Maria and the others are in school, I will stay out here with you." Laurie nodded. Maria saw Liz coming towards them.
Liz smiled and greeted everyone. On their ride to school, Liz informed everyone about Brody being possessed by Larok, and the information about the parasites. On their way to school, they came to a red light. Maria gasped when she saw a vehicle coming up beside her at high speeds. As the vehicle passed Maria, and ran through the red light, they all realized that the vehicle was no other than Max's Jeep. Michael's eyes widened. " What the hell, Maxwell?" As soon as the light turned green, Maria sped off after Max.
Isabel clenched to the seat, with her eyes closed. Max looked at her and then began laughing. " Don't piss your pants." Max pulled into the school parking lot. As soon as the Jeep came to a complete stop, Isabel jumped out. Just as Maria pulled up beside them.
Michael turned to Laurie. " Stay here." Laurie nodded, with understanding. Liz, Maria, and Michael stepped out of the Jetta, and walked over to Max and Isabel. Liz and Maria were comforting Isabel, as Michael approached Max. " What the hell is wrong with you?" Max evily eyed Michael.
" Excuse me?"
" Gee, Maxwell lets think..racing through town at high speeds, running through red lights....need I say more?"
" No please don't. Iam sick of hearing your voice. Oh and another thing. That hair style you got going, well it doesn't do much for you." Michael grabbed Max's shoulder, but Max retallitated by shoving Michael up against the Jeep.
" Don't fuck with me!" Max then let go of Michael and walked through the school doors. Isabel and Maria ran over to Michael. Maria wrapped her arms around him. " Michael are you okay?" Michael shook his head. " That isn't Max."
Liz couldn't believe what she saw Max do. She had to find out what was going on. Liz grabbed her things out of the Jetta, and ran after Max. Isabel saw this. She wasn't going to let Liz face Max alone. Isabel ran away from Michael and Maria, and after Liz.
Liz ran through the doors, to see Max not to far ahead of her. It was obvious that he was pushing his way through the hall. Liz was about to yell after him, but was caught off guard by someone grabbing her shoulder. Liz turned to see Isabel. " Liz, wait I want to come with you." Liz nodded.
" Okay, come on, We have to hurry." Isabel and Liz ran through the hallways looking for Max. After ten minutes, Liz spotted Max at his locker. " There he is Isabel." The both of them ran up behind him.
Isabel said his name first. " Max." Max rolled his eyes.
" Listen Isabel. Iam not in the mood to deal with your crap."
" Max, we have to talk."
" Get away from me, before I have to make you."
" Max, please. " Max clenched his jaw, and then prepared to hit Isabel across the face. Liz noticed this, and then stepped out from behind Isabel. Max immediately stopped, when he saw that he was about to hit Liz. Isabel was shocked. Max wouldn't hit Liz.
Liz touched Max's face. " Please. I know this isn't you." Max gently grabbed Liz's hand.
" Stay away from me. I could never hurt you." Max moved away from Liz, and then shoved his way by Isabel. Liz stood there, and watched him leave.
Liz sat in her seat feeling afraid, but determined to help Max. She was about to speak to him, but her head began pounding. " Ahh." Liz brought her hand to her forehead. As she brought her hand down, it was covered in blood.
Max turned to see what Liz was doing. His eyes bulged when he remembered that he had hurt her earlier. He was about to help her, when he noticed that someone was following them. It was Michael and the others. Max laughed as he began to speed up. Liz took a deep breath. " Do you have to go so fast?" Max clenched his jaw.
" Shutup and trust me." Liz leaned back in the seat with her hand to her forehead.
Michael knew that Max had seen them. " Damn it. We won't ever catch him now." Maria cleared her throat and then spoke.
" He knows that we are following him." Maria gasped and then looked forward. " Oh my God Michael. Where are they?" Michael, Isabel, and Laurie swore under their breath. Micahael slowed down and scanned the area. " Shit. We lost them."
Max was still laughing. " They'll never find us now." His victorious feeling left, as soon as he looked at Liz. She was hurt, and it was his fault.
" Damn it." Max swerved to the side of the road, pulling over, and parking. Liz noticed out of the corner of her eye, that Max was moving closer to her.
" What are you doing?" Liz could feel his hands wrapping around her waist. Suddenly her world went black.
Michael hit the steering wheel in frustration, " Shit." Maria eyed Michael.
" Watch it. This car is the key to me and my mother's relationship." Michael sighed.
" Listen I am sorry, but now what are we suppose to do? I mean Max has gone pyscho. He has Liz and we don't have the slightest idea of where they are." Maria threw her hands up in the air.
" Great Michael. Thanks for the recap."
Michael was about to respond, but Isabel spoke first. " Listen. We don't have time for either one of your warped flirting. We have to figure out what is going on with Max, and where he has taken Liz." Michael nodded and then started the car.
" Okay, so what do we do?"
" I think we should head back and meet up with Alex, Kyle, and Tess. Then go from there." Maria nodded in agreement, as Michael turned the car around heading back to the school.
Liz woke up, finding herself lying on a bed, which appeared to be in a motel room. Liz began to sit up, but was gently pushed back down. " Ah ah ah." Max said as he pointed his finger at her. " Don't move." Liz also realized that her head wound was healed.
" Max, where are we?"
" You are in a motel, and Iam leaving. Oh and don't worry. You can call the others, by using the motel phone, and tell them where you are."
" You're going to leave me here?" Max quickly turned around, his eyes blaring with anger, and his voice loud.
" Listen. I told you to stay the fuck away from me and thats how it has to be!" Liz sat up and moved closer to Max as she cried out,
" No Max. The others and I can help you." Max felt his anger rising, as he knocked the lamp stand to the ground.
" No Liz you can't!" Liz felt her eyes filling with tears.
" Max I won't, I can't lose you to this." Max groaned and leaned back against the room wall, taking deep breaths. Liz wiped her tears and walked closer to Max. She was now within touching distance. Max slowly reached his hand out, and touched her waist, bringing her closer to him. Max lifted her chin with his other hand, so that he was now staring into her crying eyes. He then whispered,
" Liz I don't know what is happening to me. My anger lashes out and I can't control it. I almost killed Michael. I won't take that chance with you." Liz and Max both were now in tears.
" Max I don't care." Max lowered his head, so that their foreheads were pressed together, their lips barely touching. "..but I do."
Max loosened his grip and began walking out of the motel room door, as Liz cried out, " Max please don't go. I love you." Max still not turning around, " I have to."
" Why Max?" Max then half turned, so that he was able to look at her.
" Because I love you too."
Liz began to follow, " Max." He then whipped around, his eyes a dark red as he screamed, " Stay away!"
Liz stopped dead in her tracks, as she watched Max walk away. As he moved farther and farther away from Liz, Max whispered, " Goodbye Liz."
MEANWHILE, AT WEST ROSWELL HIGH-
Maria, Michael, Isabel, and Laurie ran through the school entrance, to find that the student body was still gossiping about the scene that Max had put on earlier that day. Maria spotted Tess, Kyle, and Alex standing by the vending machine. " Hey guys! There they are!" Michael turned to Maria, Isabel, and Laurie. " Okay you guys go back and wait for me at the car. Iam going to go fetch football, face paint,and band geek." Isabel, Maria, and Laurie laughed while nodding in agreement.
Michael ran over to Kyle, Tess, and Alex. " Come on! Let's go! Now!" Tess looked at Michael in pure confusion.
" What's going on Michael?" " I will tell you later. Now come on!" Tess, Alex, and Kyle grabbed their things and followed Michael out to the Jetta, to see Isabel, Maria, and Laurie waiting. Michael turned to Isabel. " Okay I want you to go with Kyle, Tess, and Alex in Kyle's car and meet us at your house. While on the way there explain to them whats going on." Isabel took a deep breath and then nodded. Then her, Kyle, Tess, and Alex ran off. Maria and Laurie jumped into the car with Michael and they headed to Max's house.
AT THE MOTEL,
Liz began pacing back and forth,as tears slid down her cheeks. She glanced at the motel phone, and then remembered what Max had said."Oh and don't worry. You can call the others, by using the motel phone, and tell them where you are." Liz thought to herself, should I call the others? If I did would Max cause them harm? Liz turned away from the phone and grabbed her jacket. If Max was in my position. What would he do? Liz smiled. He wouldn't let me go. Thats for sure. Liz ran out of the motel room, after Max.
Max stormed out of the motel, and headed towards his Jeep. He had to stay away from Liz. No matter how much it hurt. He was quickly distracted by the sound of someone's voice calling his name. Max clenched his jaw, knowing that it was Liz. He decided to ignore her. Max walked faster to his Jeep.
Liz noticed that Max was walking faster. She had to think of something and fast. A smile lit her face. She knew exactly what to do. Liz began walking down the road, slowly disappearing into the dark, as she screamed out, " Max, Iam going to keep walking untill you come back. Hey look it's getting dark. Who knows what horny men are out tonight."
Max frowned. What the hell is she talking about? Max glanced in her direction to see what she was talking about. He felt a jolt of panic and fear at the thought of Liz walking alone, at night. Max wasn't going to let her be out alone, and the thought of some stranger touching her. " Damn you Parker", he muttered under his breath as he slowly ran after her.
Liz laughed, thinking that she might have a little fun with him. She began walking a little faster, and then even a little more faster.
Max was not amused with Liz's actions. " Liz get back here!"
Liz smiled and bit her lip. She then took her jacket off. Speaking loud enough, so that Max could hear her. " No guys going to want me with all these clothes on."
Max was enraged with her behavior. " Put that back on!"
Liz had to admit, she liked this other side of Max. She then let her hair down, from her pony tail. Liz then removed her shirt so that she was wearing a light pink tank top, and black pants.
Max began running after her. If she wanted to play, then he would play.
Before Liz knew it, Max had caught up with her. He wrapped his arms around her,and both of them fell into the nearby field. Liz was about to make a remark, but Max had already covered his mouth with hers.
Michael, Maria, and Laurie waited imapatiently for Isabel, Alex, Tess, and Kyle in Max's room. Laurie sat on Max's bed, biting her nails, with Michael beside her. Maria paced back and forth, mumbling things to herself. Maria was nearly startled to death as Isabel, Tess, Kyle, and Alex ran into the room, shutting and locking the door behind them. Isabel faced Michael, " Okay, I told them everything about Max."
Tess held onto Kyle, as she spoke," Our Max would never act this way." Isabel pulled her hair back, and then also began to pace.
" Max, Liz, and I went to Brody,and we used his body to contact home..Um, he was some guy named Larok. Anyway he told us that the parasite comes from our planet, and now that it had made contact with Earth ..we were in danger."
Kyle rolled his eyes. " What that puny crystal, that I stole from my father's office?"
" Yes Kyle. It's dangerous." Alex stepped up to Isabel. " So where are you keeping it?" Isabel sighed, " It is right.." Isabel gasped. " Oh my God! Where is it? It was right here! Max had it in a jar, next to his computer."
Alex put his hand on Isabel's shoulder. " What are you talking about?"
" Alex! The crystal was in this jar, the last time I saw it, which was last night."
Maria covered her mouth with her hands and then gasped. " Oh my God!" Michael immediately noticed this.
" Maria, what's wrong?"
" What if ...if Max was effected by the crystal somehow? I mean he was the last one with it, before he changed."
Kyle rolled his eyes. " Well, what's the big deal? Max already had problems. Now it's official."
Alex hit Kyle and then spoke, " We have to find him and Liz."
Max forcefully continued to kiss Liz. They both laid there for at least 15min. when Max suddenly pulled away. " Max what's wrong?" He groaned as he moved farther away from Liz, and then kneeling to the ground. Covering his face with his hands he began yelling at Liz,
" Go! Get Away from me! Go the motel room and call the others!" Liz at first hesitated, but then knew that to go against Max wasn't such a wise idea. Quickly she stood up and began running towards the motel. Max was still yelling at her, " Go Liz! Call the others! " Max uncovered his face and slowly looked up, glancing in Liz's direction. His eyes now pure red and his voice at a deep whisper, " Go!....before I change my mind." He then stood up and began running after Liz.
Liz ran as fast as she could towards the motel room. Liz wasn't sure,but swore that someone was following her. Glancing back, she could see Max running towards her. For the first time, Liz was deeply afraid. Afraid of Max.
She ran into the motel and down the hall to room 47, where her and Max had been earlier. Just as Liz grabbed the door knob, she was jerked back. Max had her! Liz could hear his evil laughter echoing in her ear. Instinctively, Liz stuck her foot out, and by pure luck, it tripped him. As Max fell down, she opened, shut and locked the door. Liz frantically ran to the phone and dialed Maria's cell phone number.
Maria and the others were desperately trying to come up with a plan to find Max, when Maria's cell phone rang. " Hello?"
" Maria! It's me Liz!"
" Oh my God Liz! Where are you?"
" I'm at the Shack Inn Motel, outside of town, by the oil tower! Hurry please, Max is...(Liz screams).
" Liz?" Maria immediatley turned to the others. " Liz is in trouble. Her and Max are at the Shack Inn, by..." Maria was cut off, when Michael spoke. " by the oil tower. I know where it's at."
" Why am I not surprised." Isabel rolled her eyes. " Quit flirting! Now come on."
Max had unlocked the door and then pulled Liz away from the phone to the floor. Max was now on top of her, as he held his hand out. Max placed his hand over Liz's heart. She struggled to move, but it was no use. Max was much more stronger than she was. Liz shut her eyes and whimpered. His hand began glowing,when he pulled away screaming, " No! I can't hurt you. I won't hurt you." He fell back off of Liz. She scurried away from him, and out the motel. Liz ran outside just as Maria' Jetta, and Kyle's Mustang pulled aside. Liz held back from jumping in either one of the cars, for her she didn't want to leave Max. Her heart cried for him. Before she could run back to Max.
Michael and Kyle grabbed her, dragging her to the car. " No! We have to help Max!" Michael and the others turned to Liz. " We know, but how? We think Max was infected by the crystal parastite thingy." Liz nodded.
" If that's true, then we have to go to the source." Isabel stepped up to Liz, " Frazier Woods." Without further discussion they all jumped back into their cars and drove off, in the direction of Frazier Woods.
Max stood in the doorway of the motel, " Frazier Woods here I come."
FRAZIER WOODS-
Liz and the others arrived at Frazier Woods, followed by no other that Max himself. Michael saw Max pull up behind them. " Shit." Isabel ran to Alex, Tess to Kyle, and Michael to Maria and Laurie. Liz sighed as she saw everyone pairing up in fear.
" No guys, we have to stay on track and find the main crystal. Don't let Max being here distract you." Liz turned to the sound of Max clapping.
" Well said, my beautiful scientist, but I am afraid that you don't need to look far."
" What do you mean?"
" I am the main crystal." Liz and the others gasped. " No!"
Max began laughing, " I am afraid so. The only way for you to destroy the crystals is to kill me, but that won't be happening, because I plan on killing everyone of you first."
Alex spoke up, " No Max! You won't be hurting any of us." Max rolled his eyes, and an evil smile lit his face.
" Oh is that right. Well please puny tell me how are you going to stop me?"
Alex frantically scanned the area, and then picked up a piece of broken crystal. Holding it enclosed his hands, Alex prepared to throw the parasite at Max, but realized that the parasite had disappeared. " What the hell?" Liz smiled and then blurted out,
" That's it!"
Isabel rolled her eyes and then eyed Liz. " Mind sharing?" Liz ignored Isabel and then continued.
" When the parsite's pores are enclosed, it dies!" Liz frowned when she realized that she wasn't getting a response from anyone. " Without oxygen, it dies." Everyone then nodded and smiled when they knew what Liz was saying.
Michael frowned and then turned to Liz. " If Max loses oxygen..he'll die." Liz shook her head. " No he won't. If we were to lower his oxygen intake to almost nothing, the crystal would began to die. Once the crystal is drained, we can restore his loss of oxygen. By using your powers you can balance it out, so that he doesn't die." Michael patted Liz on the back. " You are a true geek."
" Why thank you."
Before any of them could put their plan to work, Max had already grabbed Kyle. Kyle began screaming hysterically.
" Help. Pyscho Evans has me! " Liz gasped. " We have to distract him away from Kyle." Isabel turned to the others.
" Who does Max want the most?" Everyone immediantly looked to Liz. Liz sighed and then ran up to Max and kicked him. Max clenched his jaw, letting go of Kyle, and then after Liz.
Michael,Tess, and Isabel began preparing to use their powers on Max.
Liz could hear Max's footsteps and breath getting closer. " Hurry up guys!" Liz screamed as Max grabbed her from behind, pushing her to the ground. Max held Liz down, as he placed his hand over her heart. " No Max! No it's me Liz!" It was obvious to Liz that Max had no idea who she was. His eyes were red and his hand began glowing. Liz continued to scream, but knew that it was no use for her energy began to drain, whispering Max' s name as her world went black.
Just then Max felt himself being pulled back from Liz by an unknown force. Michael, Tess, and Isabel focused on Max. He fell down and began shaking as red streaks began leaving his body. Max still shaking began yelling from the pain that was being inflicted on his body. Maria, Alex, and Kyle stood back, watching in horror. Maria then noticed a lifeless, Liz lying a small distance from Max. Maria screamed,
" Liz!" as she ran over to Liz and held her. Maria began sobbing as Alex and Kyle knelt beside her.
Michael, Isabel, and Tess continued to focus on Max until, the red streaks were no longer present, and also because Max was screaming at them to stop. Max began gasping for air, as tears of pain slid down his cheeks. Isabel, Michael, and Tess ran over to Max and engulfed him in their arms.
The reunion between, the four aliens was disrupted by the sound of Maria, Alex, and Kyle's cries. Max and the others quickly looked over to see a lifeless Liz being held by Maria. Max sprang from Isabel and the other's grip, to be near Liz. Maria relunctantly let Liz slide into Max's arms.
Max cried out, " No!, No! " Max had never cried so hard in his life. He laid Liz down, to see a silver handprint on her chest. " I did this. I killed you! "
Max violently yelled and hit the ground as he looked up to Michael. " Kill me."
" Maxwell stop talking like that! "
" If she dies, I die. " Michael and Isabel wrapped their arms around Max.
Michael then spoke, " Maxwell, you didn't have any control or knowledge of what you were doing."
Max just cried harder, as a result of this his body began to shake. He moved closer to Liz. " Liz I am so sorrry. Damn it. I let you down. I was suppose to protect you!...When I kissed you. Flashes flooded my mind. I know you didn't sleep with Kyle. I know everything." Max began punching the ground. " Shit!" Max leaned in a kissed Liz lightly on the lips. " Liz I love you now, and forever. There's no goodbye."
Michael, Isabel, and Kyle pulled began pulling Max away from Liz. " No I want to stay with her."
" Maxwell, don't make this harder on yourself." They continued to drag Max away from Liz and to the Jeep. Alex held Maria as they walked to the Jetta. Maria looked to Michael, and gasped. " Oh my God Michael."
" What?"
" You're scratches and bruises that Max gave you earlier are gone."
" So."
" So, how could they have healed so fast?" Isabel turned to Maria.
" Oh my God Maria! When we killed the main parasite, maybe everything Max did when he was under it's control, was reversed! "
Max and the others turned around, looking in Liz's direction to see her standing up. " What you guys were just going to leave me here?"
Max immediately broke away from Michael and Isabel's grip and ran to Liz. He grabbed her by the waist, as they both fell to the ground, laughing. Max covered her mouth with his. Liz pulled away from him and smiled. " I love you Max, good or bad." Max touched her hair and then caressed her cheek.
" I love you." He then stared into Liz's eyes, not saying anything as a tear slid down his cheek.
" Max, whats wrong?"
" I thought that I had lost you. The thought of never touching you or looking into your eyes...." Liz pressed her finger to Max's lips.
" Max, whether I die tomorrow or fifty years from now my destiny is the same...it's you." Liz kissed Max's tears, as their lips met once more.
