This is the flow of healing energy from the therapists hands to the recipient. It acts as a safe space and catalyst for self-healing to occur. Benefits are different for everybody. They can be on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level. Common benefits reported are improved well being, relaxation, peace, sleep, mood, coping mobility and pain.
It does not promise cure. It is not specific to any religion, denomination or faith. You do not need any beliefs for the therapy to work.
The therapist starts by placing their hands on your shoulders and then moves them over your body a few inches away, occasionally lightly touching. It ends when the therapist touches your shoulders a second time. It is usually deeply relaxing. Often people experience heat, cold, tingling, pressure or colour sensations. Some people don't feel anything. Occasionally it is an emotional experience.
Arun is a GP who has been living in Inverness for 7 years. He is a fully qualified member of the NFSH which is the largest healing organisation in the U.K. This includes insurance, a code of conduct and a complaints and disciplinary procedure.
The sessions cost £15 for 25 minutes or £30 for 50 minutes. (50% refund if you are not happy with the results.)
