Prologue
Brownstone
“Carly isn't dead Luke, I know it I feel it.” Bobbie said.
“Barbara I'm not saying she is I'm not saying she isn't. But what if she is?” Luke asked. Before Bobbie could answer Taggert Jax and Mac entered. Bobbie looked at them dreading the news.
“We found her.” Mac told her.
Bobbie closed her eyes and said a silent thank you.
“Where is she?” Bobbie asked.
Jax fought back tears.
“She's on her way to General Hospital. It doesn't look good Bobbie. She was pretty bad when we found her.” Jax said Bobbie slowly nodded and followed them to General Hospital.
General Hospital
Bobbie, Sonny, Zander, Jax, Sky, Alexis, Luke, Lucky, Sarah, Laura, Mike, Nikolas and Gia all sat in the waiting room each hoping, each praying for a miracle. Tony looked at them all through the glass, he took a deep breath and came through the doors of the ER. Sonny, Jax and Bobbie all jumped up when he came out. Scott came running down the hall and finally reached Bobbie.
“Tony how is she?” Bobbie asked. Tony stared at her and took a deep breath.
“Carly suffered massive head trauma, internal bleeding and some swelling in her lower back causing some paralysis, we were able to stop the bleeding, however it is the swelling to her brain we are concerned about. I can't operate it is to risky, I could lose her. She is in a coma.” Tony said.
“Well when will she come out of it?” Bobbie asked hysterically.
“It's hard to say, a week, month, years? Monica, Alan and I have all looked at the x-rays I won't lie to you Bobbie, she will probably never wake up, the chances are too high and there is to much damage.” Tony said.
Bobbie let his words sink in before she collapsed to the ground in tears with Scott and Luke by her side. Sonny sank to a nearby chair and put his head in his hands and cried. Jax took a deep breath and walked down the hallway where he collapsed against a wall and began sobbing.
Chapter 1
6 Years Later
Carly's Hospital Room
Sarah Webber entered Carly's room. Same thing every day checking her machines and making sure her vitals were good. She went about checking not noticing Carly's fingers moving on the bed.
Carly's Mind
Something was happening she could feel it. She could feel her finger and it was twitching. She slowly opened her eyes and bright light cascaded down into her eyes, she frantically grabbed for something anything.
Carly's Room
Sarah was checking the equipment and didn't hear or pay attention to the beeping of the machines increasing. She felt something grab her arm. She screamed and turned around. Carly's bulging eyes and frantic face stared back at her. Their skin was touching and Sarah could feel an intense heat burning between Carly's hand and her arm.
Inside Carly's Head
Carly could see it the ER somewhere in a foreign country. They wheeled a man in on a streacher. She could see the people in the room. The man was disfigured. Carly was standing in the room watching a frantic Sarah and the other ER doctors working on him.
“Jason, oh god Jason, no!” Sarah screamed as the heart monitor went flat.
Carly looked at the man's left finger, no wedding band. It wasn't her husband. The images faded pushing her back to reality.
Carly's Room
“Carly, let go.” Sarah said trying to get Carly to calm down and release her arm. Carly calmed down and looked at Sarah calmly.
“Your husband is alive.” Carly said. Sarah felt her heart stop beating.
“My husband died, Carly. Do you know where you are?” Sarah asked.
“No, he is alive Jason is alive. Where am I? Why am I hooked up to these machines?” Carly said she started to panic. Sarah restrained her and Tony Jones bust in through the door. He quickly helped Sarah calm Carly.
“Why am I here? Why can I see your husband alive?” Carly asked trembling and crying.
“Carly how much do you remember?” Tony asked. Sarah stood back still stunned by Carly's vision.
“I remember seeing Sonny with Alexis in bed, getting in my car, water, crashing then blackness. Why am I here?” Carly asked sobbing.
“Carly, you've been in a coma for 6 years.” Tony replied.
Penthouse 2
“Alexis, Alex is asleep. I'll be at the warehouse late tonight.” Sonny yelled up the stairs.
Michael looked at his dad from the couch.
“Can we go see mom sometime?” Michael asked. Sonny's eyes watered.
“Sure buddy we'll go soon.” Sonny said. He was about to say something else when the phone rang. Sonny answered it.
“Corinthos.” Sonny asked.
“Mr. Michael Corinthos?” The receptionist said.
“Yes.” Sonny relied.
“This is Elsie from General Hospital. Dr. Jones asked that I call you and inform you that Carly Spencer-Corinthos awoke from her coma this morning.” Elsie said. Sonny dropped the phone in complete shock.
Brownstone
Bobbie was getting everything in order for Lucas's return home from college when the phone rang.
“Hello?” Bobbie asked.
“Hi, Bobbie this is Elsie down in ICU, Tony wanted me to call and inform you that Carly woke up this morning.” Elise said.
Bobbie dropped the phone in complete shock and tears of joy streamed down her face.
Club 101
Lucky and Jax sat going over paper work when Luke bust through the door with a huge grin on his face.
“Dad? Are you ok?” Lucky asked.
“I just got off the phone with your aunt and you'll never guess what she told me?” Luke said.
“Let me guess? Lucas decided to come home married ?” Lucky asked jokingly. Luke laughed.
“Well that would have been good but no. Seems that your dear cousin Caroline has decided to grace us with her presence again.” Luke replied slapping Lucky's shoulder.
“You mean she?.....” Jax began.
“Yes Candyboy the woman who you refuse to let go is awake, heard she scared Sarah half to death when she woke up too.” Luke said. Jax smiled and grabbed his coat Lucky followed.
“Hey where are you all going? Not even a drink?” Luke said. Luke sighed and smiled to himself following them out the door.
