Memories part 1 Story By Raven {Raven} Raven walked alongside the Sage Kyalen inside their interplanetary vessel. Raven looked at his old, yet impressionable figure. He was bald save the graybeard that grew from ear to ear in length and stopped midway down his chest. His eyes were deep blue and looked both worn and cold though out the many centuries of his life. Kyalen's clothing consisted of a long black hooded robe that had white embroidery along the collar in the design of small triangles. "If I were much younger Raven I would be getting aroused by your wandering eyes." He looked into his young warrior's eyes, so dark and empty, filled with energy. "I meant no disrespect." Raven said while lowering her eyes to the ground. However the old sage picked up her face with a quick jerk that made her neck hurt. "Never ask forgiveness of anyone and never lower your eyes." He said in a ferocious growl, "Respect comes from others fearing you. Never show weakness." His features relaxed "Come now it's time to reveal our next conquest." Kyalen touched the cold steel on the side of the ship, which became liquid so the two of them could pass through. Once through Raven saw the other two sages, Harlow and Junco looking out the giant glass window at a small white dot. "We're going after that tiny, little, moon! Why?" Raven asked in disbelief. "That dear sister is the place we'll take out one of the main sources of energy, the Silver Imperial Crystal." She felt her brothers hands glide round her shoulders. "Why don't we just blow it up and be done with it then?" "Because what we need is on the inside of the moon. It's a place I'm sure time forgot many centuries ago…The Shadow Temple." Kyalen took a deep breath of remembrance. "It will serve as our new base during our next conquest and become a permanent home of. You were brought there when you were still a baby, the reason we left so long ago was in fear that due to our increased activity we would be found. After all home would be the last place anyone ever looks for a threat." Her brother walked closer to the window running his finger in circles round the far off moon. "Besides sister, you don't want to miss the party Queen Serenity is throwing this evening do you?" Kijiro smiled at her; "It gives us time to play with our prey first." The party has just begun… Kijiro with Raven on his arm made their way up the long staircase to the ballroom. The Earth hung in the sky like a giant blue and green eye. Kijiro wore one of his best kimonos, deep blue with silver sashes. His hair tied in the back in a braid. Raven had worn a long black satin dress, cut off at the shoulders exposing her pale skin, and long black gloves. Her hair was worn up in a bun with roses placed through it while curled bangs bounced on both sides of her face. "Their so trusting here, it's pathetic…" Raven whispered into Kijiro's ear. "Now, now, dear sister, the more trusting they are the quicker we shall succeed in our mission." Raven continued to look at the spectacle in front of her, some guests wore masks or had their faces brightly painted. All she could hear were them laughing and singing to the music in back of them like a bunch of jackals over the new kill. "I'll see if I can find Queen Serenity's room, she should still be in there along with the crystal." Kijiro said as he let go of his sister and disappeared into the crowd. "I must find that girl again," he thought to himself. "It's been so long since I've touched her." Kijiro wandered the halls careful not to make himself suspicious to any of the guards. In the corners he had caught many couples enjoying a quick moment of ecstasy away from the crowd. He moved quickly out of the halls and to the balcony walkway. That's when he saw her, not the Queen but instead the girl with long brown tied in a tail wearing a deep green satin gown. "You came back?" She asked through deep crimson lips. "I couldn't forget about you…" Raven walked through the crowd. She tapped the side of her leg to feel the dagger she had placed there. It was cold against her skin. Then she saw her brother coming down the stairs with a woman in a green dress. Many of the guests had stopped their own conversations just to look at them. Raven pushed her way through until she had a better sight of them. They went on the ballroom floor and started to dance. She watched as her brother slid his hands along her waist and pushed his lips ever closer to the woman's neck. It was a blur of green and blue spinning wildly in front of her. Just like the Earth against the black sky. Infuriated she walked away and headed towards the Queen's chambers. She walked down the halls until she had reached the throne room there just two lone soldiers blocked the doorway in the far right corner of the room. Seductively she walked up to them batting her eyelashes and wrapping a finger through one of the locks of hair. "What's so important that you have to guard that door on a night like this?" Raven watched the two men got aroused, one with blonde short cut hair, the other long brown, both with strong powerful builds. They were probably the queen's personal bodyguards. The one with blonde hair spoke. "It's our duty to watch the royal chambers." "I see, Queen Serenity still putting on her make-up right boys? Well she wouldn't mind if you two had a little fun now. So should I take you together or one at a time." She let her finger run the length of his chest then once reached his crotch rubbed her palm against it. Raven could feel it hardening. They both had dropped their defenses and the one with brown hair grabbed her from behind grabbing onto her breasts, rubbing them while licking her neck, while the other fell onto her forwards, racing his hands up her dress, that's when he felt the cold dagger strapped to her thigh. "What the…" Raven quickly reached for the dagger and smiled wickedly. "Oh this?" She quickly sliced open his throat and stabbed the other in the forehead. "I never leave home without it." Neither one of them had made a noise save for the small thud the blonde's body made when she rolled him off her. Raven stood and snapped her fingers, "Can't have blood on when I meet her majesty." She was now wearing a black general outfit with cape; she undid her hair so it fell freely onto her shoulders. Raven opened the white doors lined with gold but to her dismay there was no one inside save a lone servant girl. She gasped when she caught sight of Raven and shook in terror. "Please don't hurt me." The girl wore a plain brown dress with her mouse colored hair tied in a tail. The girl's dark brown eyes started to tear as Raven came closer. "Where's Queen Serenity?" Raven hissed while grabbing the girl by the collar and slamming her against the wall. "Her majesty left by the back door, she was on her way to the party." "Then where is the silver crystal?" "I swear I don't know, only the royal family knows." Raven put the girl back down. "Why aren't you at the party?" "Because I am a slave. The Queen tells me what to do and I obey." The girl started to cry. All her memories of her planet came flooding back because this stranger had come into her life. "What was your crime?" "Queen Serenity vanquished my planet many years ago, all that's left of it is the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The elders on my planet wanted to rule the system as it always had been since the beginning of time. When Queen Serenity refused to go along with the system a war begun that ultimately destroyed my planet. Only a handful of us made it. Myself and five other girls found our way here where we were forced into slavery for a war we didn't join in." "What's your name?" "Sara…" Raven felt sorry for the girl and her friends. It wasn't fair for her to be suffering. "Sara I'm going to let you in on a one time opportunity. If you or any of your friends wish to escape this moon come to the southern gate at midnight." With that said Raven turned to leave leaving the girl to dwell in the idea of freedom. "I better get rid of these bodies," Raven thought as she waved her hand and the bodies disappeared. "Wouldn't want to start a commotion just yet." Raven walked down the staircase to the gardens. Fountains with clear water ran down white pillars while wild roses climbed their way to the top of them. Suddenly a blade swung out stopping an inch from her throat. From behind one of the pillars a female warrior came out. She was tall with fiery red hair with equally colored eyes wearing battle armor that was foreign to this region. "I saw you come from Queen Serenity's quarters. I've never seen you here before explain your business here on the moon." Raven starred at the warrior and flicked the sword away like an annoying fly. "It is none of your business why I'm here." The female warrior however swung the blade back up to Raven's throat this time toying with the soft flesh underneath to make sure Raven understood she meant business. "I am Star, Sacred Shadow Warrior of the Abyss and I make it my business to know." Raven rolled her eyes then stepped back from the sword. "I am Raven Lafey, an ambassador from the Novas Galaxy. I'm here to make a treaty with Queen Serenity but, as I see I've come during a party." The female warrior's sword relaxed and she put it back in its sheath. When she turned back to Raven she smiled and said, "I don't believe you for a moment." "I knew you wouldn't. So why put down your sword when you know I'm the enemy." "Because, if you know what's good for you, you won't try anything on my watch." Raven then felt the strange power coming off the warrior. It was evil and good at once. Star was different from the others on this moon, perhaps the galaxy. "What about if I try something off your watch." Raven's sword appeared on her hip and in a flash was in her hands and inches away from Stars heart. "Cute trick, but look down Raven." Raven looked down and saw that Stars dagger was tapping against her stomach threatening to cut it open. Raven nodded and took her sword away from Stars throat. "Impressive…" Raven did a back flip in the air and landed three yards away from Star. By this time Star had retrieved her sword and was ready for a fight. Kijiro and Lita had become tired of all the dancing and left the ballroom and back onto the balcony where a shower of falling stars flew around them. Lita rested her head against his shoulder. "I've missed you so much, every day I thought about the day I would hold you again." Kijiro said as Lita blushed then grabbed his shoulders and brought him down to her. However when she kissed him she felt something was wrong. Quickly she pushed him away and backed away. "What's wrong Lita?" Kijiro asked stunned at her sudden change in moods. "When I kissed you, it was so cold, so empty…you're a demon!" Kijiro's face grew stern and walked towards her. "I'm not a demon, look at me, these eyes, these hands, these feelings I have for you. Their all human traits aren't they?" Kijiro held her shoulders and looked longingly into her eyes. Lita knew he was evil and punched him hard in the ribs. "You can't fool me, I shouldn't known from the beginning. Your just using me, you're a…a scout for the enemy!" Lita was crushed she should have known from the beginning he was a demon. Kijiro held onto his sides then for once in his life he felt rejection and hated it. He had found this girl to be everything he had been searching for all throughout his life: beautiful, fun, and strong. "I…I'll change for you Lita. You want me to give up the darkness…I will for you." Kijiro was filled with a sudden light and Lita ran to him and held onto him. His body was finally rejecting the evil it had been injected with all his life. Kijiro felt such warmth and held onto Lita. Her green light mixed with the white. "Finally I'm free…" Steel on steel clashed and emitted sparks as the two women battled. Each skilled in their own each respected fighting arts. Raven found this girl amazing. "Night…Fog!" A layer of thick fog made it harder for Star to find her. Raven grabbed her waist and spun her. Both their swords found each other and they were once again face to face. "You're not one to follow the Light, Star, come with me and we can restore the Darkness." "Though I carry evil inside me, my choice is to stand beside the Light." The fog had begun to clear and above them the stars from the sky fell creating a glow around them. However the ground beneath them started to shake and both warriors stood back from each other. Raven looked and there coming from the sky was a shimmering black cloud. "This was not in my plans…" Lita looked at Kijiro and he down at her. She wrapped her hands tight around his shoulders and kissed his lips. This time she felt love, pure and untainted. "I've made so many mistakes in my life Lita. How can you forgive me so quickly? I was going to kill you tonight once I got you back to your room." "You gave up the darkness willingly, for me…because you love me. And I love you." Lita kissed him again and held onto him tightly, that's until the ground beneath them started shaking, when they looked up into the sky they saw the black cloud that was coming upon them. "It's the Negaverse! Hurry Kijiro we have to warn the others." Raven took her eyes away from the sight and concentrated her powers to focus on the oncoming creature. "It's Queen Beryl, I can sense that snake from anywhere. Star it's not too late you can still come with me, there's no way your pathetic Moon Kingdom can defend against her. Beryl has been getting ready for this battle for a long time and caught you and your friends off guard. I know you're truly evil, you just need to let your mind accept it, your body already does." Raven spun Star around and melded with her thoughts. She saw a small portion of Stars past in a second then broke away. "You're a stubborn one Star." "I'm standing behind the light, I don't run from any battle." Raven couldn't believe her ears, she thought Star was talking like a manic. Raven couldn't let Star stay here, suddenly Raven pressed her lips against Stars; the adrenaline was such a sudden rush. Raven broke away and jumped high into the air and hovered there ashamed at her impulsiveness but excited at Stars taste still on her lips. "I'll come back for you…" Raven disappeared and went to get the slave girls away from the moon before it was destroyed. Hours have gone by, the battle still rages over the moon surface. Raven learns that Kijiro has stayed to fight Queen Beryl and has been exiled by the Tricouncil. The slave girls have been safely transported to Raven's ship. Now Raven is in the ship looking at the battle beneath her confused at her feeling towards the warrior girl she has met and worried for her safety.
