Character Biographies

This is Luke Duke. Luke was raised by his Uncle Jesse, along with his cousins, Bo and Daisy. This is because their parents were all involved in a car accident. Luke and his Cousin Bo built their car from the ground up. This car, of course, is the General Lee. Luke and Bo frequently used the General Lee to evade the corrupt Hazzard County law men. Luke was a man who fought for what he believed in. A former Marine, Luke was also a strong man. Last we heard about Luke, he was a smoke jumper for the U.S. Forest Service.

This is Bo Duke. Bo, like his cousins Luke and Daisy, was raised by his Uncle Jesse, and continued to live with his uncle and two cousins on his uncle's farm. Bo was the more irrational cousin. Quick thinking like his Cousin Luke, Bo could usually get out of any jam involving the corrupt Hazzard County law. Bo was also a ladies man, and got on well with the women of Hazzard. Bo enjoys driving fast cars, which explains why he and his Cousin spent a year on the Nascar Circuit. From what we hear in the first Dukes Reunion, Bo found his way back to Nascar.

This is Daisy Duke. Daisy Duke was raised by her Uncle Jesse, just like her cousins, Bo and Luke. Daisy was very beautiful, and caught the eyes and attention of many men. The Duke Boys, including Uncle Jesse, were very protective of Daisy, often to Daisy's frustration. She knew they meant well, but sometimes felt smothered. Daisy had a crumby job working for Boss Hogg at the Boar's Nest. From what we hear about Daisy in the first reunion movie, Daisy went on to get a degree at Duke University.

This is Cooter Davenport. Cooter is Hazzard County's most loyal mechanic. Cooter is also a good friend of the Dukes, and even refers to Jesse as Uncle Jesse. Cooter spends most of his time repairing the General Lee and the Hazzard County parol cars, as they are always crashing. In fact, those are the only cars you usually ever see Cooter working on. Does anyone else suspect a government conspiracy? Hmmm...

This is Jefferson Davis "Boss" Hogg. Boss Hogg is the county commissioner of Hazzard County. Boss is a very greedy man who loves his money as much as a very good and very BIG meal! Boss is always involved is some crooked scheme to frame the Duke Boys. But when the Hazzard County Law Men consists of the innept Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane, Deputy Enos Strait, and Deputy Cletus Hogg, Boss' plans always fail. Boss is also Jesse Duke's former Ridgerunner partner, and even though Boss has been crooked all of his life, he always keeps the promises he makes after shaking hands under the Ridgerunner rules. Unfortunately, Boss Hogg, along with Sorrel Booke, his portrayer, passed away in 1994.

This is Deputy Cletus Hogg. Cletus is Boss Hogg's nephew. Cletus replaced Deputy Enos Strait when Enos left for the L.A.P.D. in 1980. Boss decided to keep Cletus around when Enos came back the next year because he knew that he needed all the law men he could get to frame the Duke Boys. Although Cletus often went along with Boss Hogg's schemes, he was a much better person than his uncle. Like Enos, he didn't really want to harm the Dukes, but went along with Boss Hogg's schemes in order to keep his job. Family or not, Boss would fire Cletus if he felt it was neccessary. In fact, he did fire Cletus once because the Duke Boys escaped from jail under his watch. Of course, the Duke Boys got his job back for him in the end. And just between you and me, if Boss should have fired anyone, it should have been Sheriff Roscoe. He was the most innept sheriff I've ever seen!
