Greenlee’s mind wandered as she drove to Leo’s apartment. She was thinking about her life. Leo had asked her to marry him and she had agreed. She had then gone to Jake and told him. She had hoped Jake would profess his love and talk her out of it. But he didn’t. Why was Greenlee so disappointed? She decided go look for Leo. Leo was suppose to be having lunch with Bianca, or as Greenlee liked to call her Lesbianca. Greenlee smirked at the nickname she had given the teenager. Actually, Greenlee wasn’t that much older than Bianca. And as Greenlee thought about it she felt a bit sorry for the girl. Her mother had disowned her and was on trial for murdering Bianca’s girlfriend. Greenlee thought that Bianca was a very pretty girl. Actually, the more Greenlee thought about it, the more she realized that Bianca was actually very attractive. She parked the car and headed for went to Leo’s apartment.

Bianca answered the door. Greenlee looked her up and down before she realized what she was doing. Greenlee was grateful that either Bianca didn’t notice or just didn’t comment.

“Come on in.” Bianca said stepping aside as Greenlee walked passed her. “Leo asked me to wait for you and tell you that he’ll meet you later at the Valley Inn.”

“Why?” Greenlee asked avoiding Bianca’s eyes.

“Don’t get mad.” Bianca said raising her hands up, palms forward in a gesture meant to calm Greenlee.

“Don’t tell me Laura!” Greenlee said angrily.

Bianca walked over to Greenlee and put her arm around her. “Leo loves you very much. He’s just got to tie up some loose ends with her.”

Greenlee jerked away from Bianca.

“I’m not hitting on you.” Bianca said defensively. Greenlee ignored the statement. “Why can’t he see that she’s a lunatic?” “He knows Greenlee.” Bianca said softly. “He knows.” “What is it with her? You fell for her.” Greenlee said angrily. “What’s so attractive about a psychotic bitch?” Bianca shrugged her shoulders and slumped into a chair. Greenlee ranted and raved for a few more minutes before she noticed the look on Bianca’s face. “Er, I’m sorry.” Greenlee said slowly. Bianca said nothing. “How is the, uh, trial going?” Greenlee asked. “Do you care?” Bianca retorted. Greenlee took the reproach gracefully and sat down next to Bianca. “I know we haven’t always gotten along…” Greenlee began. “You’re a homophobe.” Bianca accused interrupting. “Aw, come on.” Greenlee said disdainfully. “I was just teasing you before, you know with the whole Lesbianca stuff. Can’t you take a joke.” “No offense. But I’ve got better things to do than put up with you.” Bianca said starting to get up. Greenlee grabbed her by the arm. “I’m, well, I’m sorry.” Greenlee said in a rush. Bianca looked at her, trying to see if Greenlee was sincere. Bianca’s gaze bored into Greenlee. Greenlee pulled her hand from Bianca’s arm and looked away quickly. Bianca noticed and stood up fast. “You can’t even stand to touch me.” Bianca charged. “I’m not trying anything. I haven’t even, you know yet, with girls I love. So, I’m certainly not trying anything with you.” Greenlee was taken aback by Bianca’s words. She had assumed that Bianca and Frankie had consummated their relationship. Greenlee grabbed Bianca’s arm as she headed for the door.

“I didn’t think you were.” Greenlee said. Bianca again gazed upon Greenlee to discern the truth. This time is was Bianca that was forced to look away quickly.

Bianca shook her head. What was she thinking? Her mind was reeling. Was she so desperate for attention that she was picking up imaginary vibes from Greenlee? Greenlee noticed Bianca’s distress. She wanted to say something. But nothing came to mind. She wasn’t accustomed to trying to be nice. That was Jake’s department. She tried to think what Jake would say in this circumstance. She could think of nothing. She could only think of Jake’s words. He had said that no one man would ever satisfy her. She’d always be looking to the next. No one man would ever satisfy her. No man would ever satisfy her. She may not know about that, but she knew one thing. She didn’t want Bianca to leave. She wasn’t sure why but she didn’t. Maybe Jake was right. Greenlee’s hand, where she was touching Bianca’s arm, was searing her. Bianca moved to go to the door again. Greenlee suddenly knew how to stop her.

Greenlee pulled her into a kiss. Bianca started to fight her. Her emotions were in turmoil. But her passions got the better of her. She released herself into Greenlee. The two kissed passionately. Bianca felt all of her feelings boiling up. Thoughts of Rain, of Sarah, and of Frankie poured through her mind as she embraced Greenlee. Then Leo suddenly flashed in her mind. She pulled back quickly, but Greenlee didn’t let her go completely. Bianca looked at Greenlee.

“Why did you do that?” Bianca asked.

Greenlee couldn’t answer. She didn’t know the answer. She did know that she wanted to kiss Bianca again. She pulled herself into Bianca again.

“Greenlee this makes no sense.” Bianca said pulling her head back.

“Does it have to?” Greenlee asked.

Bianca wanted to say that it did have to make sense. It had to make a lot of sense, and that it made no sense. But Bianca was trapped in Greenlee’s gaze. She felt a lurch in her belly. She had felt this lurch before. Bianca felt full to overflowing. She wanted to release the tension she had been feeling for months. Greenlee caressed Bianca’s face. Bianca pulled Greenlee to her. Greenlee and Bianca fell to the couch.

They began to lose themselves in each other’s bodies. Neither was sure exactly what to do or how to do it. Greenlee began to realize how truly wasted those months with Leo and Jake had been. She pulled Bianca’s clothing off. Bianca did the same to Greenlee. They fumbled and felt their way through their passion. Greenlee cried out in rapture as Bianca focused all of her passion. Greenlee then returned the favor. Bianca tossed her head back as she cried out. All of the tension Bianca had had over the last year dissolved in that instant.

Bianca relaxed into Greenlee’s arms and began to cry. Greenlee wasn’t sure what to do. Greenlee wrapped her arms around Bianca and stroked her hair.

After a few minutes Greenlee finally spoke. “Shhh.” She said softly. “It’s OK. It will all be OK.”

Bianca took in a deep breath and leaned herself on one elbow. The tears continued to stream down her cheeks. “How? My mother murdered my last girlfriend. And I just had sex with my best friend’s fiancé. How on earth will it be alright now?”

Greenlee kissed Bianca on the forehead. Then Greenlee said looking deeply into Bianca’s eyes. “Because it will be.” And inexplicably Bianca knew she was right.
