Thundercats

They've done their bit for king and country (one of them WAS king) and now they've passed on.  Well, kind of.  They come back a few times, so they're really not moving on, but we can say they have.

Jaga: The Specter who can't leave well enough alone
I suppose that the leader of a powerful band of warriors/peacekeeprs (isn't that an oxymoron?) needs a figure to look up to.  And so Lion-O has Jaga the ghost.  The only problem is that Jaga doesn't know when to leave the lion alone and when to keep bugging him.  Yes, Lion-O does need to be reminded that the Sword is omnipotent and can do everything.  But wouldn't it be neat if Lion-O figured this out on his own sometimes?  Why does it always have to be Jaga that informs him of the obvious?  Well, I guess I should say something good about Jaga since I've said something good about everybody else.  Jaga was Lord of the Thundercats at the time of Thundera's destruction, defending the planet for as long as possible against Ratilla and his band of mutants.  He piloted the Thundercat flagship to Third Earth while the rest slept in their suspension capsules and then died.  So he's noble, even if he is a busybody.  Lion-O is the only Thundercat who can see him (most of the time) but Cheetara can sometimes sense his presence.
Claudus: The Deceased Dad
What would a cartoon character be without origins?  Well, probably a cartoon character.  The rest of the Thundercats don't have parents, but I guess since Lion-O's the leader, he needed a father.  Claudus is Lion-O's father.  Lion-O met his father once on freak journeys backwards through time, but the lion doesn't really remember him otherwise.  Claudus was also a Thundercat, but he was blinded somehow and was merely a figurehead.  Jaga did the real leading.  But Claudus now has a few points over Jaga in that he doesn't keep appearing with sage and completely obvious advice from time to time.  He only shows up in one episode and it's Lion-O that does the visiting, not Claudus.
Kano:  The Typical Loyal Pet
Kano only appeared once and it was in that freak journey through time where we got to meet Claudus, too.  Kano was Lion-O's faithful pet when Lion-O was still a cub on Thundera.  He was also very loyal to Claudus and pretty good at taking down mutants.  I don't think Kano did anything else, but he doesn't look like someone to mess with.  Maybe I'll take him snarf, err, squirrel hunting with me.

Aww, I'm touched.  A memorial to the dead.  Okay, take me to the biography page, now.

This is kind of morbid.  I want the main page.
