<Lady Thundera> Welcome viewers. It's a beautiful day out here and we're ready and waiting for one of the most anticipated events in this Olympics: the Tank Joust. Joining me today is Cheezey, renowned fanfic writer and Lunatac expert. Welcome, Cheezey.
<Cheezey> Thanks, Lady Thundera. We're situated outside Cat's Lair on the other side of the moat, and we're ready to start. Officiating this event will be Mongor and Hachiman. An interesting combination that will probably spend more time fighting each other than actually watching the vehicles.
<Lady T> Very true. So what's the competition going to be like in this event?
<Cheez> Interesting. We have some authentic land vehicles, and then we have some modified space ships. First up for the humans, we've got Safari Joe and Captain Shiner. They're using a scout ship from Captain Shiner's mercenary ship, but they've made some modifications so it runs on the ground. It looks unstable, but sources tell me that it doesn't lack for fire power. Safari Joe has supposedly beefed it up.
<Lady T> And of course there's the Thundertank, driven by Tygra and Cheetara.
<Cheez> No description needed here. Everyone knows the capabilities of the Thundertank. The Lunatacs are driving the Lunattacker, with its formidable array of weaponry and its superior mass. I'll be interested to see if anyone can top them.
<Lady T> WHAT IS THAT?!
<Cheez> Ah, that is RoBear Bob and RoBear Belle. They've entered their Candy Fruit Picker in this contest. Watch for them to be eliminated quickly. The Driller and the Enflamor have stolen the mutants' MuTank and will be using it. It's small, but it is fast. The mutants themselves will be using the Fist Pounder, driven by Monkian and Jackalman.
<Lady T> And there's the signal! The vehicles are off.
<Cheez> They're starting out by playing bumper cars, but sooner or later, they'll start teaming up to defeat one another. The Thundertank is backing off and waiting to see who emerges as a force to contend with. Cheetara's up taking cheap shots at anything and everyone.
<Lady T> The MuTank is backing off, too. It doesn't have the size to sustain the kind of pounding going on in there. Wait, something is happening in...WOW!
<Cheez> That was impressive! Captain Shiner's modified tank just let loose a blast from one of the biggest laser cannons I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it was too big and they blew their tank backwards into the Lair's moat. One down, five to go.
<Lady T> Three to go.
<Cheez> What?
<Lady T> That laser cannon vaporized the Lunattacker and cut the Fist Pounder in half. I don't konw how the Berbils survived, and the MuTank and Thundertank were off to the side.
<Cheez> That's not possible!
<Lady T> Hey, I just call them as I see them. Don't blame me. Now the Berbils and Thundercats are taking on the MuTank. Boy, that's a fast little thing.
<Cheez> This match just became pointless. Without the force of the Lunatacs, the Thundercats have a win for...wait a minute!
<Lady T> Now that's ingenious. The Berbil Candy Fruit Picker just drove a large stake into the ground and they're starting an earthquake!
<Cheez> They use this to shake Candy Fruit off the trees, but it's working quite well against the MuTank and the Thundercats.
<Lady T> Cheetara's been shaken out of the Thundertank! What are the rules on that?
<Cheez> She can't get back in. Tygra has to go on without her. He's pulling the Thundertank back as best he can, but that earthquake has everyone's bolts shaking.
<Lady T> And there goes the MuTank! It's been shaken apart.
<Cheez> I don't believe this. The Berbils are going to win. Excuse me while I gag.
<Lady T> Don't gag just yet. The Thundertank isn't quite done. It's...it's burrowing! It's tunneling beneath the Candy Picker.
<Cheez> Go Thundercats! My guess is the Tank's claws just grabbed that metal rod and stabilized it, because the ground's stopped shaking, but the Candy Fruit Picker has gone into seisures. And it's shaking itself apart!
<Lady T> This is 'shaking' up to be a great match.
<Cheez> You are no longer allowed to pun. And here comes the Tank back out of the ground. The Thundercats have won!
<Lady T> And Hachiman and Mongor stopped arguing long enough to recognize the fact. Look at that celebration. Let's see if we can catch some of that. Lady Bast is down on the field now. Is your microphone working yet?
<Lady Bast> Yes, it is. But I can barely hear you. The noise from this crowd is deafening, and the fact that Tygra hasn't turned his engine off yet doesn't help. Let me get a little farther away. And I have with me Cheetara who has consented to answer a few questions. So what are your reactions, Cheetara?
<Cheetara> A great match, in my opinion. The Berbils gave us a surprise at the end, but I was confident that we could pull through.
<Bast> We were all watching when you were shaken out of the Tank. Care to comment on that?
<Cheetara> Not my finest moment, that's certain. I kept telling Tygra to pull back, but he didn't do it in time. Thankfully, he was able to turn the Berbils' weapon against them.
<Bast> Now, I saw you and Safari Joe exchanging words before the match. What was that about?
<Cheetara> Well, I guess Captain Cracker stole the Sword of Omens during the Martial Arts competition and he was making us a deal. If we won, he and Shiner would get it back. If they won, Tygra and I would become his prisoners.
<Bast> Wow. And what was your response?
<Cheetara> I probably should have spoken to Tygra about it first, but I agreed.
<Tygra> Spoken to me about what?
<Cheetara> Um, nothing. Nice work out there.
<Tygra> No, you said something about Safari Joe. What was it?
<Bast> I think I'd better toss this back up to you, Lady Thundera and Cheezey. I sense a cat fight brewing.
<Cheez> Good idea. And that's all we have, folks. Tune in next week for the results from the events in the TreeTop Kingdom.
