Tatya is my uniqueness. She's different. Because of that, she's not exactly popular with some people. She doesn't fit in. Now there's nothing wrong with that, but it does affect her actions.
Tatya didn't really assert herself until she was back in the company of Jamie, helping her develope a new navigation system for Babylon. In the past few years, she's become more confident which allowed her and Jamie to become "The Second Paris and Kim Duo" aka unstoppable pranksters. Originally, after her work with Babylon, Tatya was under assignment to pilot Voyager upon recommission; however, due to Babylon's unique navigational system and lack of sufficient crew members, she was assigned as a temporary pilot to Babylon.
