If the story has an "R" by the title it has been published in the Relativity zines put out yearly by Elaine Gustainis and Jill Hargan. These are crossover zines that present an Alternate Universe. However, since many of the people reading these stories may not be familiar with this universe, I have removed most of the non-SMK characters when possible so they are mainly SMK stories. This was not possible with the first story THE ANNOUNCEMENT since half of it takes place in New Mexico. Therefore, please let me introduce the cannon of Relativity and the non-SMK characters you will encounter. This AU started in the first season when little was know about Lee’s background. In this AU, Lee’s father is in the military, and his parents are killed in a car wreck in Japan. The Colonel is named Charles Stetson. Lee’s mother comes from a large family that live on a ranch in Glorieta, New Mexico. The family name is Michaels. Jennifer and Matthew Stetson elope and spend most of their marriage estranged from her family. Lee learns about these relatives when the Colonel sends him to the ranch for the summer when he is still a young child. There he meets three young male cousins. For reasons unknown and regretted by certain members of the Michael clan, they allow Lee to be taken away every fall by the Colonel which makes coming back and leaving each summer harder and harder for the growing Lee to deal with. Amanda meets the family when Phillip is kidnapped and the search ends up taking them to an area located near the ranch during one of the yearly family reunions.
The characters have been patterned after recognizable TV characters.
