CHAPTER:1

Boys were starting to ask girls to the Last Blast. Belle remained
unasked, and she remembered her experience at the dance at the beginning of
the year. She had to be asked. She thought that since she and Shawn had
become better friends recently that he might ask her and maybe even Philip.
But with a week left until the dance, Belle was getting very nervous.
“I can’t believe no one has asked me! This is horrible” She told Mimi.
“Belle stop complaining. You are beautiful, you will definately be asked.
Its me that should be worring about not getting a date.”
As the girls were talking Shawn walked up with a large bouquets of long
stem red roses. Belle thought that her moment had finally come, that she
would get a date. But instead Shawn said:
“Have you guys seen Chloe around anywhere?”
Both Mimi and Chloe’s jaws dropped to the floor.
“Why are you asking Vampira? She doesn’t even want to go Shawn.”
Belle quickly ran down the hall to the bathroom and started to cry. “How
could this happen? How could Shawn do this to me?”
LATER THAT NIGHT
Chloe ran home to tell Nancy the news about her being asked to the last
blast. She tried not to act to excited but she just couldn’t pretend not to
be happy anymore. She wished that Philip would have asked her, but Shawn was
a great guy and they had lots of things in common. Chloe called Belle and
told her all about what happend.
“He came up to me and sang me a song, and asked if I would like to go
with him. It was very nice and sweet.”
“So are you two... um...dating now?” Belle asked on the verge of tears.
“Oh no! We are just going as friends. We could never be romantic like
that.”
Belle breathed a sigh of relief and told Chloe that she really had to go
start her homework but that she would see her in Chemistry tomorrow.
THE NEXT DAY
Belle walked around sullenly for the whole day. When Shawn asked her what
was wrong she just told him to stay away from her and never talk to her again.
Belle still had no date to the dance and it was in 6 days! She had to
find a date and fast! She decided that she would have to flirt up a storm
with Philip.
She saw Philip at the end of the hall, so she ran to catch up with him.
“Hey Philip, Wanna go to Dot.com and get a Cappucino with me?”
And of course he accepted! He had had a crush on Belle Black for as long
as he could remember. He silently thought to himself that maybe, just maybe,
now that Shawn had a date to the dance that Belle might go with him.
Right then Mimi ran up and asked Philip if he wanted to grab a bite to
eat with her. Belle could tell that Mimi had the same plan as her, two best
friends after the same guy. Philip invited her to join them, because it would
be rude not to. He thought that he could ask Mimi too, because she was fun
and was always willing to help him get Shawn & Belle away from each other.
CHAPTER:2

Mimi, Philip, and Belle went to Dot.com and got some dinner. Both girls
were doing their best to flirt with Philip but he didn’t seem to be
responding to either of them. All he could do was stare at Shawn and Chloe
who just walked through the door. Finally, Mimi said:
“Hey Phil! Would you stop staring at goul girl and listen to my story!”
“I wasn’t staring at her, I just got distracted because your story was
so boring. I would never stare at Vampira, ever.”
Mimi go angry with Philip and told him that she didn’t need him and went
home.That left Philip and Belle all alone. The two of them were watching
Shawn and Chloe look over some classical CDs. Belle felt a jealous pang in
her heart.
“That should be over there!”
“What did you say Belle?”
“Oh nothing. You know me! just talking to myself.”
Philip decided that he had to ask Belle to the dance. What normal guy
wouldn’t want to go with the most beautiful, popular girl in school??
“Hey Belle, how would you like to go to the last blast with me?”
“I would love to Philip” Belle screamed as she ran around the table and
gave him a hug.
Shawn looked over when he heard Belle scream, and was glad that she had a
date. Shawn and Chloe walked over to Philip and Belle and sat down.
“Hey Chloe, do you want to go dress shopping this weekend? They are
having an awesome sale at my favorite store!”
Just as Belle was saying this, Mimi walked in to grab the purse that she
forgot. Mimi felt her world collapsing around her. She was the only girl not
going to the dance and she was loosing her best friend to the Queen of Freaks.

The dance was only 3 days away now!Mimi still had no date, and decided
that it would be better to pretend like she didn’t want to go.
“Belle, I am going to visit my Aunt Jeanie this weekend. It should be a
lot of fun, but I won’t be able to go to the last blast anymore. I’ll see
you in a week!” And with that Mimi was gone.
“Shawn, Chloe and I bought the most beautiful dresses!”
“I’m sure you did perfect girl. I have to run to Calculus.”
Shawn grabbed Chloe and they headed off to class together. Philip came
and got Belle for gym class.

LATER THAT DAY:
The voice of our Principal came over the Speakers during 8th period.
“Just a reminder, the polls are open for the King & Queen of the Last
Blast until 5:00 tonight. Please come and vote. Also, make sure to buy
tickets to the dance, they are $8 for a couple and $5 for one person. Thanks,
classes are dismissed.”
The students all started talking about who they wanted to win and they all
headed down to the gym.
At 5:00 the teachers started to count the ballots and there were clear
winners.
CHAPTER:3

Chloe headed over to Belle’s Penthouse to get ready for the dance. Chloe
bought a beautiful navy blue strapless dress. Belle had convinced her to buy
the dress because the color was close to black which is Chloe ever wore!
Chloe rang the doorbell.
“Chloe! I am so glad you are here. I am so excited.” The girls ran up
the stairs to get ready.
Belle decided to give Chloe a total makeover! Belle straightened Chloe’s
hair and then put it up in a french twist. Then came the makeup. She looked
absolutely stunning. She wanted to put on her glasses but Belle would not
allow it! Before they could even put on their dresses, Philip and Shawn were
at the door. Marlena answered and told them to sit down and make themselves
comfortable because the girls still weren’t ready.
Belle and Chloe slipped into their dresses and ran down the stairs.
Shawn and Philip looked at their dates, and then at each others dates. Of
course Belle looked beautiful, because she always did. But the shock was
Chloe! Philip could not take his eyes off of her. Marlena came and took
pictures of the foursome and then shooed them off to the dance.
When they walked in the music stopped and everyone stared. Chloe, getting
self conscious turned and ran out of the gym.
“Chloe wait!”Belly yelled out.
Shawn went to go find her, but Philip grabbed his arm and said, “Wait.
You and Belle go in. I will find her.”
Philip searched through the halls and finally found her in one of the
classrooms. She was crying.
“Chloe, don’t cry.”
“Go away Philip. I want to be alone”
“Listen, they weren’t staring because you look bad, they were staring
because you look unbelieveably beautiful tonight. The way your eyes looked in
that light, I couldn’t stop staring at them Chloe.”
Chloe looked up at him.
“I just couldn’t handle all of them staring, I didn’t know what to do.”
“Why don’t we go back in there right now, together. I’ll be right there
if you need anything.” He said as he held out his hand.
She took his hand and they walked through the halls together. Philip
reached up and wiped a tear from her face. They looked into each others eyes
and then they walked into the gym. Everyone looked at the two of them, and
Chloe felt the urge to leave again, but Philip just grabbed her hand and
pulled her over to Shawn and Belle who were standing next to the punch bowl.
“Chloe, I am so glad you are back!” Belle told Chloe when she came over
to them.
“Chloe, I forgot to tell you back at the penthouse, but you look
wonderful tonight. You are very beautiful.”
Chloe started to blush and looked down towards the ground. Then, the
principal got up on the stage and said:
“Attention everyone. Attention! We are about to announce the King & Queen
of the Last Blast. And the Winners are.....”
CHAPTER:4
NOTE: This chapter is a little short, I have finals this week and didn’t have
time to write a long chapter!

The principal got up on the stage and said:
“Attention everyone. Attention! We are about to announce the King & Queen
of the Last Blast. And the Winners are...” He starts to open the envelope and
when he finally gets it open he says, “Philip Kiriakis and, wait, this can’t
be right. And your queen is Chloe Lane. Philip and Chloe come on up here to
get your crowns.”
Philip started to walk up and Chloe followed him up there, but she
stopped and said, “Belle, this should have been you up there. You should go.”
“No Chloe, you won! Get up there, you deserve it.”
Everyone applauded loudly for Chloe, even though they had voted for her
as a joke, they now thought that she was the most beautiful queen they could
have gotten.
Philip and Chloe were crowned by last years winners. Overcome with
happiness Chloe began to smile but then the principle started to talk again.
“It is now time for the King & Queen’s dance. Guys, please head down to
the dance floor.”
The lights dimmed and a spotlight came onto Chloe and Philip. Philip held
out his hand to Chloe, and she took it. They walked down to the floor looking
into each other’s eyes. Chloe put her arms around Philip, and he did the same
to her. They were so lost in each other that they could not ecen here the
music.
Shawn & Belle were in shock that these two were so close to each other!
They wouldn’t even be in the same room before, now they were dancing.
The principle now said, “Ok, everyone else join these two on the floor”
Shawn said, “Well, since both of our dates are taken, would you like to
dance with me?”
Belle nodded and they headed out onto the floor. “Wow, slow dancing feels
weird with you. I’m used to disco dancing!”
“Well perfect girl, we’ll just have to do a fast dance after this.”
Belle smiled, and felt very happy being in Shawn’s arms.
But all of a sudden Shawn said, “Wait, there is something that I have to
do. I’ll be back in a little while. “ And Shawn left quickly through the
crowd. Belle stood there hurt and confused so she went and sat by herself at
a table. She looked over at Philip and Chloe dancing happily, and she felt a
little bit of jealousy. She should have been the one dancing with Philip,
and then when she was happy to be with Shawn but he left her too. Belle got
up and ran to the bathroom. She sat down and cried. Both of the guys that she
liked had been taken away from her from one reason or another. Her night was
ruined.
Back in the gym the lights started to come on again and a mysterious
figure showed up on the stage.
CHAPTER:5
NOTE: This chapter is a little short, I have finals this week and didn’t have
time to write a long chapter!

The mysterious figure stepped into the light and was followed by a bunch
more mysterious figures.
“What is going on?” Belle exclaimed.
The students, especially the girls, all gasped when they saw who it was.
It was *NSYNC.
They walked up to the microphone and said that they were passing through
town and they heard that they had some big fans in Salem. “We would like to
ask Belle Black and Mimi Lockhart to come up here.”
Every girl became envious of Belle as she walked up to the stage.
“Oh no! Mimi isn’t here.”
Just then Shawn ran back into the gym, and he had someone with him. It
was Mimi!
She headed up to the stage and gave Belle a hug.
“Mimi, I thought you were at your Aunt’s house!”
“I lied because I was embarassed that no one asked me. But I’m here now.”
*NSYNC started to sing to the girls and they both melted! They could not
believe this.
Shawn & Philip sat there laughing at the girls, and Chloe found herself
dancing to this “teeny bopper” group. She laughed at herself.
When the song ended Mimi and Belle gave all the boys a hug and then went
down onto the dance floor.
“Shawn! How did you know to get get Mimi?”
“When I was dancing with you I saw the group out in the hall, and I knew
they were Mimi’s favorite.”
Mimi looked up at Shawn and decided that this guy was the perfect guy for
her.
At the same time Belle was thinking about how kind and caring Shawn was,
and maybe he wasn’t so bad after all.
Mimi, finally noticing Chloe’s new look, said, “wow. Chloe you look
amazing.”
“Thank you Mimi.”
Everyone danced together in a big group. This night had been a memorable
one.
CHAPTER:6

Belle woke up on the first day of her summer break thinking about the
Last Blast. She had had so much fun and she could not believe that *NSYNC had
been there! It was so amazing even if she hadn’t been crowned the Queen.
Chloe deserved to be queen, she looked absolutely beautiful. Just then the
phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Belle its Shawn. Philip and I wanted to know if you and the girls wanted
to go swimming. There is a pool right next to my house.”
“I would love to go. I will call Mimi and Chloe right now. We’ll meet
you in an hour.”
Belle hung up and immeadiately felt her heart start to pound. She
couldn’t wait to spend the day with Shawn. She called Mimi and Chloe and told
them to go to the pool.
When Belle arrived only Shawn and Philip were there. The boys admired her
with every step she took.
“Damn! She looks hot” Was Philip’s comment but all Shawn could do is
stare.
“Hey guys. You both seem zoned out. Is everything all right?”
“Everything is perfect, perfect girl!” Shawn grabbed Belle and threw her
in the pool.
“Sorry about the Belle. You seemed like you needed to cool down. Let me
help you out of the pool.” Shawn held out his hand and Belle grabbed, but
instead of getting out she pulled him in.
The two of them started dunking each other and Philip just sat there
watching. Just then Mimi and Chloe walked in. Mimi saw Shawn and Belle in the
pool and felt a pang of jaelousy.She quickly covered her dissapoinment by
running over Philip.
“Meems! Hey!” Belle jumped out of the pool and gave Mimi a hug. She saw
Chloe standing on the other side of the pool look uncomfortable.
“What’s up with Chloe? Shawn will you go get her?” Shawn started to head
over there but Philip said, “Don’t worry about it man. I’ll get her. She
doesn’t want to see your ugly face anyway” And he walked away laughing.
Philip got to Chloe and she started to blush.
“Are you coming to sit with us or what?”
“Yeah, I’m coming. I was just thinking about something.”
“What were you thinking about? Last night?”
“Yeah. It was so much fun. I didn’t think I could have that much fun at
a school dance.”
“It was great. We will have plenty of fun times this summer too, starting
right now. Come on, lets go see everyone else.”
“My mom packed us all lunch, and don’t worry Chloe, there is a
vegetarian sandwich just for you.”
“Thanks Shawn. Your Mom is so sweet.”
After lunch Belle, Mimi, and Chloe decided to sun bathe rather than swim.
Philip and Shawn were trying to impress them by doing cool tricks on the
diving board. Shawn tried to do a double front flip, but after the first flip
he hit his head on the diving board and went crashing down into the water.
Belle and Mimi both screamed in horror
CHAPTER:7

Belle and Mimi screamed in horror as they saw Shawn’s head hit the diving
board. Belle jumped up and dove into the pool after Shawn. She grabbed onto
him and started swimming up to the top. When she reached the surface Philip
pulled Shawn out of the water, he was bleeding a lot from his head.
“Someone call 911” Mimi screamed. She ran over to Shawn and started
crying.
Philip pulled out his cell phone and called an ambulance. The paramedics
ran in and put Shawn on a stretcher. Belle held onto his hand and jumped into
the ambulance with him.
“Shawn, please wake up. C’mon! You have to wake up. Everything will be
ok! Be the Tough Boy that I know you are.”
The Paramedics shut the doors and turned on the sirens and headed off to
University Hospital. When they arrived, Chief of Staff Dr. Craig Wesley was
waiting for them.
“He has a sever laceration on his head. He has been unconscious for 7
minutes but he is breathing.” One of the paramedics told Dr. Wesley.
The nurses wheeled Shawn into the ER. They had to rip Belle’s hand away
from Shawn so that they could check him out. “Ma’am, we are going to have to
ask you to leave. We don’t need you distracting us. Why don’t you call the
patients parents and get them down here.”
“No. I want to stay with Shawn, that’s his name. He isn’t just any
patient, he is more special than that.” Belle collapsed onto the floor
crying. Philip rushed in and pulled her up off of the floor.
“Belle, lets go sit in the waiting room. I’ve already called Bo and
Hope. There is nothing more you can do right now.” Philip said.
“Belle, everything is going to be all right. Craig is a really good
doctor. He will take good care of Shawn” Chloe tried to sound as reassuring
as possible as she and Philip helped Belle to the waiting room.
When they got to the waiting room Belle saw Mimi hysterically crying in
the corner. She walked over to Mimi, and the two of them comforted each
other. They both were worried about the guy they loved who was fighting for
his life.
Half an hour later Dr. Wesley walked out of the Trauma room and ripped
off his gloves and threw them in the trash can. He went over to the counter
and put his head in his hands. Seeing this, Belle, Mimi, Chloe, and Philip
all got extremely nervous. They saw Bo & Hope running into the emergency room
at the same time.
Hope saw Belle crying and asked,” Honey what happened? What is going on??”
“Hope it was awful! Shawn hit his head on the diving board and I tried to
save him but there was just soooo much blood. “
“Oh no. He isn’t dead is he? Belle answer me.”
“No, Hope. He is unconscious. There’s Dr. Wesley. Let’s ask him.”
Right then Craig walked up to the group and said, “I hate to tell you
this, but I have some bad news..........”
CHAPTER:8

Right then Craig walked up to the group and said, “I hate to tell you
this, but I have some bad news..........”
“What is it Dr. Wesley? Tell us, we can handle it!” Bo screamed
“I’m afraid to say that Shawn has suffered sever head injuries. Right
now we have him on life support, and he is still unconscious.”
“Craig, are you saying that Shawn is in a coma?”
“Yes, Chloe, he is.”
“Dr. Wesley. What is his prognosis? Is my little boy going to be ok?”
“Its hard to say Mrs. Brady. The next few hours are absolutely critical.
We will be sending him up to the ICU and they will monitor him very closely.”
At that moment the nurses wheeled Shawn out of the Trauma room. AS he
went past everyone shouted words of encouragement.
“Dr. Wesley, can we go visit him?” Belle managed to squeak out through
her tears.
“Yes, but only one at a time. It is important for family and friends to
be by his side. Maybe one of you can give him the strength to wake up.”
“Belle, Bo & I are going to go talk to him, and then you can go. Does
that sound good?”
“Yes. Thank you.” Belle went and sat down, anxiously awaiting her turn
to talk to Shawn. There was so much she had to say to him.
Hope walked into the ICU barely holding back tears.
“Listen, Shawn-Douglas, sorry, Shawn. I just want you to know that there
are a bunch of people who love you sitting her waiting for you to wake up.
All of your friends are here, and the rest of the family is on the way to the
hospital as we speak. So don’t leave them waiting too long! We love you so
much.” Hope could no longer keep from crying. She ran out of the ICU, she
didn’t want Shawn to hear how upset she was.
Bo went in and talked to Shawn for a little while and then came out and
comforted Hope. He also went to Belle and told her she could see Shawn now.
As Belle was heading to the elevator, she heard Mimi say to Philip, “It
just isn’t fair that she gets to see him first? Why does she get to go before
me?”
Belle continues onto the elevator and then went into the ICU. She sat
down next to Shawn’s bed but instead of saying everything that was in her
head, she just sat there silent.
“Ya know tough boy. I’m not really sure what to say. I want to say so
much, but I don’t know how to say it. All I know is that you have to fight
your way back to us. I know you can do it. You are one of my best friends and
I have no idea what I would do without you. Shawn Brady, you are the most
special person I know.” She bent over and kissed him on the forehead. She
wanted to give Mimi and the others to see him so she squeezed his hand and
went back to the waiting room.
Every day for 4 days Belle came and sat with Shawn trying to get him to
wake up. She would tell him stories about their childhood, hoping that they
would help him. “Shawn, do you remember that time that we built that
tree-house and we worked so hard on it. We spent the whole summer up there.
That was so much fun!” Belle relived the entire summer for Shawn until the
nurse came in and said, “Sorry hun. Visiting hours are over.”
Right as Belle was standing up to leave, she felt Shawn’s hand move.
“Oh my gosh! He is waking up! I have to go get Bo & Hope.”
Bo & Hope were where they had been for the past 4 days, sitting outside
of the ICU. They were both sleeping.
“Bo! Hope! Shawn moved his hand! Hurry up! come inside.”
The three of them ran into the room together and crowded around Shawn’s
bed. His eyes started to flicker and then they slowly opened. He looked
around and suddenly got a look of complete horror on his face.
“Shawn honey, what’s wrong?” Hope exclaimed.
CHAPTER:9

The three of them ran into the room together and crowded around Shawn’s bed.
His eyes started to flicker and then they slowly opened. He looked around and
suddenly got a look of complete horror on his face.
“Shawn honey, what’s wrong?” Hope exclaimed.
“Where am I? What’s going on?”
“Shawn, its ok. You are in the hospital, you had an accident at the pool.
You hit your head on the diving board.” Hope told him
“Oh, I see. And who are you?”
Hope looked back at Shawn in disbelief. How could her own child not
remember her?? “Shawn, its me, Mom.”
“I’m sorry I don’t know you. Who are you?” He said to Belle.
Belle couldn’t answer though. She broke down in tears and ran out of the
room. Shawn had been her friend for as long as she could remember, and now,
he didn’t even know who she was.
“Belle, what’s wrong?” Philip asked. Mimi saw Belle’s expression and
instantly started to cry again.
“Shawn is awake.”
“That’s good news. Why did you scare us so much by coming out here
crying if he woke up.” Mimi screamed angrily at Belle.
“Because, Shawn isn’t back to normal.He, He........” Belle could not
finish it was just too hard for her. Chloe put her arms around belle and
said, “Its ok Belle. Just tell us what happened.”
“ He has amnesia. He doesn’t remember Hope, or Bo, or...........me.”
Philip, Chloe, and Mimi just sat their silently letting this new
information soak in. Suddenly Mimi got up and ran out of the waiting room.
Everyone just let her go because they didn’t have the strength to get up
and help Mimi. They all needed to think some more about what was happening
with their friend Shawn.
Belle moved to the corner and started crying again. Chloe started to cry
because she had just started to have a good relationship with Shawn and now
he will not even remember that. She would have to start all over again.
Philip, seeing how upset Chloe was, put his arms around her. Chloe sank into
his chest feeling very comforted by the strong arms she had around her.

In the Bathroom:
Mimi thinking to herself,” I can’t believe Shawn has amnesia. This is
totally crazy. Hmmmmmm, but maybe.............Yes, that’s what I will do! I
am so smart, what a great idea!!!!!”
CHAPTER:10

Mimi thinking to herself,” I can’t believe Shawn has amnesia. This
is totally crazy. Hmmmmmm, but maybe.............Yes, that’s what I will do!
I am so smart, what a great idea!!!!!”
Mimi walked out of the bathroom looking refreshed. She walked into the
waiting room, but only Philip and Chloe were in there. Belle was nowhere to
be found.
“Hey you two, where is Belle?”
“She went home to be with her family. She couldn’t handle being here and
seeing Shawn like this” Chloe told her.
“Perfect, I can put my plan into action.” Mimi said quietly to herself.
“What did you say Meems? “
“Oh nothing, it isn’t important Philip. Later guys.”
Mimi headed to the elevator and pushed 4 for the ICU floor. Mimi walked
to Shawn’s room and saw his parents walking out
“Fancy Face, it will be ok. Shawn will get his memory back. Craig says
that is could just be temporary.”
Mimi noticed that no one was in Shawn’s room, but he was wide awake. She
walked in there and sat next to his bed. She leaned over and gave him a big
kiss on the lips.
“Whoa! What are you doing lady???” Shawn yelled as he pushed Mimi away.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t remember. Please forgive me. What is your name?”

“Mimi don’t be angry. I’m sure our memories will come back to me.”
Shawn reached out and held Mimi’s hand. “For now, why don’t we make some new
memories.”
Mimi smiled, knowing that her plan was working!
“Do you want to watch some TV with me?” Shawn asked.
“I’d love to.”
Shawn patted the bed and said, “Why don’t you come up here and sit with
me.” Mimi jumped into the bed with him and he put his arm around her. They
watched the movie Liar, Liar with Jim Carrey. They were both laughing
hysterically.
“Hey, Mimi. Why don’t we make this our movie. We don’t have one already,
do we?”
“No we don’t. This should definately be our movie.” Mimi yawned and put
her head down on Shawn’s chest. Shawn smiled thinking about how lucky he was
to have a girlfriend who loved him enough to stick by his side, even when he
couldn’t remember. He put both of his arms around her and they fell asleep
just like that.
Just then the elevator doors opened and Belle walked out. “I can’t just
leave Shawn when he needs me. I should go sit with him and try and help him
remember. She walked into the room and her jaw dropped to the floor. She
could not believe what was happening........

Just then the elevator doors opened and Belle walked out. “I can’t just
leave Shawn when he needs me. I should go sit with him and try and help him
remember.” She walked into the room and her jaw dropped to the floor. She
could not believe what was happening. Mimi was lying in Shawn’s arms. Belle
turned around to walk away when she heard Mimi say, “Belle, where are you
going?”
Belle turned around and tried to hold back the tears. “I didn’t want to
wake you up you looked so, so peaceful. Shawn, how are you feeling?”
“I’m feeling good, a little confused, But my girlfriend, Mimi is helping
me out a lot. So how do you know me?”
Belle started to cry and walked out the door.
“What’s wrong with her Mimi?”
“I have no clue. You two are always fighting,so I have no idea why she
would be upset.” Mimi smiled, thinking about how she could make Shawn think
that he hates Belle.
“I see. Well I’m just glad that I have someone honest and caring like
you.” Shawn leaned in and gave Mimi a kiss.
Just then Craig walked in. “Sorry to interrupt kids. Shawn, I just wanted
to let you know that you are going to be released in a couple of days. You
seem to be recovering quite nicely. I just want to watch you and make sure
that everything is fine.”
“Thanks Dr. Wesley.”
“Shawn, I better get going. My mom will be worried if I don’t get home.
I will see you when you get home.” She kissed him and then left.
Mimi walked into the elevator and laughed. “ I can’t believe how well my
plan is working. Now I just have to make sure that Belle will never have
Shawn.”

“How can Mimi do this? I knew she liked Shawn, but how could she lie to
him and tell him that she was his girlfriend? That is terrible. I need to
tell Shawn the truth. I am going back to the hospital!” As Belle was walking
out the door the phone rang. She ran to answer it, “Hello? Oh hi Philip.”
“Belle, how are you doing? Is everything ok with you?”
“No, it isn’t. I need your help. Can you come over here.”
“Yeah, Chloe is with me. Is it ok if she comes too?”
“Definately. I was going to ask for her help too.”
“Ok, we will be there soon, what is going?”
“I will tell you when you get here, I have a plan.”
HALF AN HOUR LATER:
Belle waited anxiously for Philip and Chloe to arrive. Then the doorbell
rang. Belle jumped up and opened the door. Belle explained everything that
Mimi had done.
“What was she thinking? How could she be so rude?” Chloe said.
“So what is your plan Belle?”
“I say we go in there and tell Shawn the truth. Someone needs to distract
Mimi long enough so that Shawn can learn what is really going on.”
They all sat there thinking for a couple of minutes until Chleo broke the
silence, “ How are we going to distract Mimi? She won’t want to leave
Shawn’s side.”
Just then a figure covered in black and wearing a ski mask pulled out a
gun and said, “No one is going anywhere.”

“I know that voice.” Belle whispered to herself. “But I can’t put my

The person walked over to the door and locked. They took off their mask.
Belle gasped at the person, her best friend Mimi.
“Meems why do you have a gun? What is going on with you?”
“Just shut up Belle! I am so sick of your crap! I know you like Chloe
more than me. I know that you don’t care about me. Just stay away, I have
Shawn now and I am not going to let you ruing that!.”
“Meems, you don’t have to do this. You can have Shawn. We won’t tell him
anything. Just please put the gun down. No one needs to get hurt here.”
“I am so sick of you Belle.You are a liar. You will run to Shawn the
second you can!”
Belle started to walk towards Mimi, trying to calm her down, and then a
shot rang out. Belle’s body crumpled to the floor and blood started to spill
out.
“Oh my gosh! Mimi what have you done? “ Chloe screamed as she ran over
to Belle.
Mimi started to cry. “Ok, Chloe, Philip get up.” She pushed them onto a
chair and tied them together. She put chloroform over their mouths and they
instantly passed out. Mimi threw the mask on the floor and ran out of the
penthouse.

Shawn was sitting in his hospital bed watching TV when Mimi walked back
in. She seemed upset about something. “Mimi, is something wrong?”
“No honey. Everything is fine now that I am with you.” Mimi kissed Shawn
and they started talking about what they were going to do once Shawn got out
of the hospital.
“Shawn, what do you say we sneak you out of here early. There is some
place we can go, just the two of us to be alone.”
“Ok, but how are you gonna get me out of here?”
“I’ve got a plan............”

BACK AT THE PENTHOUSE
Belle started to moan as she lied on the floor. She tried to drag herself
to the phone, but she didn’t have the strength. Right then John walked in. He
didn’t see Belle at first. All he saw first was Philip and Chloe tied up on
the chair. He went over and untied the young teens. He threw water on their
faces but they didn’t wake up. Slowly Chloe came around.
“Belle......Belle......”
“What about Belle, Chloe? What is going on.” Just then John noticed the
blood on the floor. “Oh god! Izzy????Where are you. “ He followed the trail
of blood and found Belle lying face down on the floor. He saw that she was
bleeding out of her arm. John grabbed the phone and dialed 911, “Hello. This
is John Black. My daughter has been shot. I need someone to get over here
right now.”
John hung up the phone and cradled Belle in his arms. Within minutes the
paramedics arrived and rushed Belle to the hospital. Another ambulance came
for Philip and Chloe.

John grabbed the phone and dialed 911, “Hello. This is John Black. My

and Chloe.

AT THE HOSPITAL
The ambulance pulled up the Emergency Room and found Dr. Lexie Carver
waiting for them. “What do we have?”
“15 year old female shot in the arm with significant blood loss”
“Lex, you have to save my little girl! Please!!!”
“John, Oh my gosh! Is this Belle???”
“Yes. Please help her.”
The next ambulance pulled up containing Chloe & Philip. Philip was still
unconscious and Chloe was suffering of a terrible headache and was very dizzy.
Dr. Wesely came out and when he saw Chloe in the ambulance he started
running towards the ambulance.
“Chloe what happened? Are you ok??” Craig pulled Chloe into a tight hug.
“Craig, I’m ok. Just a little dizzy. Help Philip, he has been
unconscious for a while now. After you help him I will tell you all about it.”
“Why is he unconscious??”
“Because, we were chloroformed.”
“You were what?!?!”
“You heard me! Noe please help him!”
Craig and other doctors brought Philip into the Trauma 2 room right next t
o Belle’s.

“It seems that he just got a large dose of chloroform. Put some smelling

The nurse did as Dr. Wesley told her, and after 30 seconds, Philip woke
up.
“Chloe? Where are you? Belle?”
“Philip, everything is ok. Chloe is fine and Belle is in the Trauma room
next to you.

“We need 2 bags of 0- blood STAT!!!” Lexie was trying to stay calm
knowing that she was working on her friend’s daughter, but she felt a sense
of urgency that she couldn’t deny. “Let’s get her up to the OR (operating
room) right now. We don’t have time to spare.”
Belle’s heart rate started to drop, and the heart monitor began to beep.
“Oh no. We don’t have time to get her up there. We will have to operate
right now.”
Lexie began to extract the bullet from Belle’s arm. Once this was done
she started to repair the vein’s and arteries that had been hit by the
bullet.

Chloe and John nervously paced the halls outside the waiting room. Just

3 hours later, Lexie walked up to John and said “We have news about
Belle.”

3 hours later, Lexie walked up to John and said “We have news about

anesthesia and is in the ICU. She should be fine. We just have to hope that
the bullet didn’t hit any major nerves.”
“Thank you for helping her Lexie. I appreciate it so much!”
“How did this happen John? Who would want to shoot Belle? She seems like
the type of girl that everyone would like!”
“ I don’t know. I’m going to ask Chloe and Philip right now........”

Mimi was sitting in Shawn’s room in the ICU when she saw Belle being put
in the room next door. Shawn was sleeping so she decided to go see Belle. She
felt very guilty about what she had done.
Mimi sat down next to Belle and held her hand. “Belle I am so sorry I had
to do this to you. I didn’t want anyone to get hurt, but you know I couldn’t
let you have Shawn. I love him so much, and I wouldn’t be able to live
without him. Don’t be mad at me.” Mimi started to cry. “Belle you know that
you are my best friend and I hated doing this to you. But I am taking Shawn
away. We are gonna start a new life together, just the two of us. I couldn’t
risk Shawn staying here, he might remember you, and then you two might be
together. I couldn’t have handled seeing you too together! Please be happy
for me, Belle.”
Mimi was about to tell Belle more about her plan when she heard the door
start to open.............
CHAPTER:15

Mimi ran out into the hall to see who was there, but she didn’t see
anyone. She went back into Belle’s room and said, “Goodbye! Please forgive
me.” Mimi went back into Shawn’s room and he was awake.
“Hey hon! Where have you been. I didn’t like waking up without you by my
side.”
“Sorry. I was just visiting a friend who was hurt.”
“Is she ok? What happened?”
“How did you know it was a she?!?!?!?!”
Shawn looked around nervously, trying to cover up his mistake. “I’m
sorry to upset you Mimi. I just guessed it was a girl.”
“Sorry Shawn. I’m just a little flustered right now. I have been making
plans for us, and I just want to make sure they go off well.”
“Where are we going?”
Bo & Hope walked in right then. “Mimi, what are you doing here?”
“Don’t be so rude to my girlfriend. You may claim to be my parents, but
that gives you no right to act this way.”
“Your girlfriend? What are you talking about? When did this happen?”
“Mr. & Mrs. Brady, I think he means I am a friend of his that is a girl!
Of course I’m not his girlfriend.”
“Sorry bout that Mimi. We are just stressed right now. We have had no
sleep for this whole week.”
“Why don’t you guys go home and take a little nap. I will keep Shawn
company.”
“Thanks Mimi. Shawn we will be back in a little while.”

“Shawn, I’m sorry. You can tell that your parents don’t like me very
much. A long time ago we decided not to tell anyone about our relationship. I
didn’t want them to find out about us now, because if my plan to get you out
of here is going to work we have to leave right now. Are you ready?”
Shawn hesitated for a moment. He wasn’t sure what Mimi had done to that
girl Belle and why she thinks that he and Belle might get together. *I have
to play along, I don’t want her to do something to me like she did to Belle*
Shawn thought to himself, then he told Mimi“Of course honey. Lets get out of
here.”
“Ok. I have to go make my final preparations. I will be back in 5
minutes.”
The second Mimi left, Shawn got up and snuck into Belle’s room.
Belle started to wake up. She was still groggy from the anesthesia and
the room seemed blurry. She felt a lot of pain in her arm. Then she
remembered what had happened.
“Shawn. I have to tell Shawn the truth. Mimi can not have him.” All of
a sudden a person showed up above her. Belle screamed out in horror, “NO
MIMI! STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!!!”

Belle started to wake up. “Shawn. I have to tell Shawn the truth. Mimi can
not have him.” All of a sudden a person showed up above her. Belle screamed
out in horror, “NO MIMI! STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!!!”
Suddenly a hand covered her mouth to keep her from screaming. Belle tried
to get the hand away , but she couldn’t move her arm.
“Belle, SHHHHH. It’s Shawn Brady.” Shawn uncovered her mouth and she
said, “Oh Shawn! I am so glad you are here, I have so much to tell you.”
“I know everything that happened, but I am a little confused. Why does
Mimi want to keep me away from you? What is she afraid of?”
Before Belle could answer Mimi appeared at the door. “Shawn, how could
you lie to me and make me think we had a future?” Mimi started to cry and
thought to herself *even without his memory he is still drawn to her.There is
nothing I can do!*
“Why do you always get the guy Belle? Why do you always get everything?
It isn’t fair.”

MEANWHILE IN THE WAITING ROOM:
Philip and Chloe were sitting near the back of the waiting room, watching
TV, waiting until they would be allowed to visit Belle. Then John walked up
“Guys, I want to know exactly what happened tonight.”
“Me too” Abe Carver walked into the waiting room.
“Well, we were at the penthouse trying to come up with a plan to help
Shawn, and tell him what was really going on and that Mimi was lying to him,
but then all of a sudden this person dressed all in black jumped out from
behind the curtain.”
Chloe picked up from there. “That person turned out to be Mimi. She was
so angry with us for trying to keep her and Shawn apart. She just went crazy.
She completely flipped out at Belle, and then she shot her. I tried to help
Belle, but she tied me up with Philip.”
“I’m gonna have to ask you to come down to the station to fill out a
formal report.”
“Ok Commander Carver, but can we come later? We want to see how Belle is
first.”
“That’s fine, I’m about to head up there and see if she is awake to
give me a statement.”
Abe left the room and headed up to the ICU.

“I can’t stand this anymore Belle. I just can’t.” Mimi pulled out a gun

Abe heard Belle’s screams and ran into her room. He saw Mimi with the
gun. Her finger was on the trigger and she was about to pull it. Abe dove and
knocked Mimi to the floor.

Philip, Chloe, & John ran down to the hall towards Belle’s room in the
ICU after hearing the gun shot. When they opened the door they found Abe
lying on the floor on top of Mimi.
“Abraham! Are you ok????”
“Yes John, I’m fine.”
John looked down and saw that Mimi had a gun in her hand he ran and
grabbed it before she could do anymore damage.”Izzy, are you ok?”
“Yes Daddy. I’m feeling much better. My arms hurts a little, but I’ll be
fine. Phil, Chloe, how are you two? Did she hurt you after she shot me?”
“No, we’re ok.” Philip said while he put his arm around Chloe.
The hospital security came in and helped Abe arrest Mimi. “Mimi Lockhart
you are under arrest for the attempted murder of Isabella Black and the
kidnapping of Philip Kiriakis, Chloe Lane Wesley, and Isabelle Black.” He
read her her rights and they took her out of Belle’s hospital room.
One of the nurses walked in to make sure that everyone was ok when she
saw Shawn in his hospital gown next to Belle’s bed. “Mr. Brady, you need to
be inbed. It isn’t safe for you to be walking around.”
“Can’t he stay for a little while longer?” Belle asked the nurse.
“Well, Shawn is going to be moved out of the ICU today, and you will
probably be moved out too. Why don’t we see if we could get you a room
together. Does that sound good?”
Shawn didn’t know why, but he felt like this was the best thing for him
and Belle. Maybe he could remember his relationship with her if he was around
her more often. “Sure, Nurse, that sounds fine. What do you think Belle.”
Belle tried to hide her happiness so she said, “That sounds ok.”
“I will make the arrangements right now.”
“I will help you Nurse.”
“Thanks Mr. Black.”
“I can’t believe that Mimi did all of this. I thought I could trust her
when she said she was my girlfriend, but I knew that something was wrong with
her. And then when I overheard her talking to Belle I knew she was dangerous.
I am just so sorry that you guys got caught in the middle of this.”
“Shawn, its ok. We will all be fine!” Belle said as she grabbed Shawn’s
hand. Shawn felt like a bolt of electricity had just gone through his body
when Belle touched him. He had a flash of Belle dancing with him at a dance.
He could feel the passion of the moment.
“Shawn, you seem a million miles away. Are you ok?”
“Yeah, Chloe. I’m fine. In fact I’m great. I’m starting to remember a
little bit.”
“Shawn, what are you remembering?”
“You, Belle. And me.”
Belle felt a smile spread across her face. She thought to herself *I hope
he remembers everything, and realizes that he has feelings for me!*

Shawn & Belle were moved into a double room down on the main floor.
“Shawn what were you remembering about us before?”
“I was remembering a dance, when we were dancing out on the floor and
everyone was sitting there watching us!”
“Oh yeah! You rescued me from embarrassment. I didn’t have a date, and
Philip saved me first, and then when he was nowhere to be found you came and
danced with me!” Belle smiled, remembering the fun they had that night.
Bo & Hope walked in right then. “Hey sailor man. How are you feeling?
Have you started remembering anything?”
“Yeah Bo, I mean.....Dad, I remembered dancing with Belle.”
Hope smiled, knowing that Shawn & Belle had feelings for each other but
that they were always both way too stubborn to admit it. “That’s great
sweetie. Dr. Wesley says that they will be releasing you in a couple of days.”
“Really? Great! I can’t wait to get home. I want to see if it will
trigger any memories for me.”
“Shawn, your dad and I have to head back home and take care of the baby.
We will be back to see you tonight. Love you! Bye Belle.”

“I don’t need to be a matchmaker. Those two are meant to be together.”

go numb, or something doesn’t feel right. If you nothing goes wrong you can
go home tomorrow. And Mr. Brady, How is your head feeling?”
“Much better. My Mom said that I am going to be realeased in a couple of
days?”
“Yes, if you keep progressing well.”
“Thanks Dr. Wesley.”
“Sure Shawn. I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone now.” He left with a
smirk on his face. Belle and Shawn were both blushing.

THE NEXT DAY:
Marlena was signing Belle’s release forms out at the nurse’s station,
and Belle was busy talking with Shawn.

“Of course I am! I can’t wait to be home.”
“I want to get out of here either. I don’t know how much longer I can
handle the hospital”
“Don’t worry Tough Boy, you can make it!”
“Tough Boy???”
“Oh, I forgot you still have amnesia! That is what I call you, and you
have this annoying tendency to call me Perfect Girl.” Belle smiled
remembering the names they had for each other. Shawn thinking to himself *We
must have been close if we had cute names for each other!*
Belle got uncomfortable with the silence and said, “Well, I better go and
change. “ Belle walked into the bath room.
Suddenly, Belle screamed out in pain which made Shawn wake up. “Belle,
are you ok?????”He jumped out of bed to help her, but he got dizzy and had to
lay back down. He pushed the Nurse call button and she came into the room.
“Is everything ok Mr. Brady?”
“No, Nurse. Belle just screamed. Something is wrong. She is in the
bathroom.”
The Nurse ran into the bathroom and screamed, “Call the doctors. Get them
in here right now.”
Shawn pushed the emergency button on his bed. Doctors came running into
the room and Shawn directed them to the bathroom. Belle was placed on a
stretcher and taken out of the room. Marlena went up to Shawn, “What happened
to my baby? What happened?!?!?!?!”
“Marlena, I don’t know. All I know is she was changing and then she
screamed out. When she was being pulled out there was a lot of blood.”
“Oh no! I have to call John, this can’t be happening. John, Belle is in
trouble again. What? I don’t know. Just get down here now!!!!!!” Marlena
hung up her phone and started to leave the room when Shawn said, “Marlena,
wait.”
“What is it Shawn?”
“Can you take me down to the ER with you?”
Marlena smiled and said, “Of course.”Shawn got in a wheelchair and
Marlena brought him down to the ER. Right when they got there, John was
walking in.
“John, how did you get here so fast?”
“I was across the street at the police station. How is our baby girl?”
“We don’t know yet Mr. Black. They just brought Belle down here. She is
bleeding a lot.”
Marlena and John paced the waiting room while Shawn sat there in his
wheelchair. It seemed like hours had passed when Dr. Wesley came out.
“Mr. & Mrs. Black, I have news about Belle.....”
“John and Marlena thought about how many times they had heard that
recently, and waited for the bad news.
CHAPTER:20

“What is it Dr. Wesley, what’s wrong with my baby girl?”
“Well, Marlena, John, nothing is really wrong with her. She was getting a
little ahead of herself when she tried to dress herself. When she put her
shirt on she tore a couple of the stitches and reopened the wound. We fixed
all of those problems, and she is as good as new. We want to observe her for
a couple more hours, but then she can go.”
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Belle was on a stretcher and being
brought back up to her room.
“You gave us quite a scare Izzy.”
“Sorry Dad. I was so excited to get out of here that I didn’t want to
wait for Mom to come help me get dressed. I am so sorry!” Belle looked around
and saw that Shawn was watching her from the waiting room. *He must care
about me if he is down here.* she thought.

SHAWN & BELLE’S ROOM
“Belle, how is your arm feeling?”
“Fine Shawn. I am just so embarrassed! “
“Why are you embarrassed?”
“Because I tried to do everything by myself, and I ended up hurting
myself. I just need to learn to accept help from other people.”
“Well, If you ever need help, you can ask me.I probably can’t help you
with the getting dressed thing though!”
Shawn & Belle laughed and Marlena walked in. “I’m glad you two are
laughing! Its good for both of you. You ready to get going baby?”
“Definately Mom. Lets get out of here.” Belle jumped out of bed.
“Not so fast Missy! Into the wheelchair for you.”
“Mom! I hurt my arm, not my legs. I can walk!”
“Belle, weren’t we just talking about you needing to accept help from
other people!”
“You’re right Shawn! Ok, I will go in the wheelchair.” They all laughed
at Belle sitting uncomfortably in the wheelchair.
“C ya Belle!”
“Bye Shawn, I will come and visit you when you get home tomorrow.”
“That would be great.”
That night both Shawn & Belle thought about what the next day’s visit
would bring. Shawn knew he had a special connection with Belle, but he didn’t
know what it was. He hoped he would learn the next day. Belle was hoping
that she could help Shawn remember his past so that everything could get back
to normal. Needless to say, neither of them got any sleep!
CHAPTER:21

SHAWN’S HOSPITAL ROOM:
“Honey, you look exausted. Maybe we should keep you here for another day.”
“No! Mom, I just had things on my mind. I was too excited to sleep, I
can’t wait to get home.
“Ok, sailorman, we’ll take you home.”
“Dad, Why do yo call me sailor man?”
“For lots of reasons, the main one being that we used to live on a boat.”
Shawn had a memory flash, he saw a sign that said The Fancy Face.”The
Fancy Face?”
Bo & Hope looked at each other and smiled. “Oh sweetie! You are
remembering.”

BELLE’S PENTHOUSE:
Belle walked down the stairs in her pajamas.
“Hey Izzy. How is the arm feeling?”
“Better Dad. “
“You look really tired sweetie. Are you sure that you are ok?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. I just couldn’t fall asleep last night. But anyway, I
am going to go take a bath.”
“Make sure to-”
Belle cut Marlena off, “Keep my arm out of the water. I know, I know.”
Marlena laughed, “Such a smart girl!”
After Belle’s bath she started to get dressed. She put on a button down
shirt that was easy for her to get on by herself and her new jeans. “Hmmm,
what to do with my hair. Maybe I should do it all crazy again so that Shawn
will remember the times when he made fun of me!”
Belle called her mom up to her room. “Mom, can you help me with my hair?”
“Sure sweet pea. What do you want to do, a ponytail?”
“I was thinking somethine a little bit crazier! I want my hair to look
really cool today.”
“Any special reason you want to look so cute?”
“N....No, I just, I just want to look nice.”
Marlena fixed Belle’s hair in a very elegant fashion, with lots of curls
and twists.
“Thanks Mom, that looks great. I am gonna go meet Philip and Chloe at

“Yeah, we have put aside our differences and just learning to deal with
each other.” Philip laughed.
“What is so funny Phil?”
“Nothing Belle! I was just thinking about how mean we used to be to each
other, and how my feelings have completely changed for Chloe.” Chloe’s face
turned a deep shade of red.
“Chloe, girl conference! Right now! Lets go talk over there.”
The girls walked over to the CD’s. “Chloe! What is going on with you and
Philip!?!?”
“Nothing really. He just walked me home from the hospital yesterday, and
the he.....”
“Then he what! What did he do?????”
“He kissed me on the cheek.”
“Oh! I am so happy for you. This is great news. Ok, lets go sit back down
with him.”
“What were you two lovely ladies discussing?”
“Nothing Phil. But, I have to get going. I am meeting Shawn at his house
in a couple of minutes. I’ll tell him you guys say hi. You two have fun
together.” Chloe glared at Belle for being so obvious about Chloe & Philip
being alone together.

“Ok Shawn. You lay down on the couch and get some rest. Dr. Wesley

“Shawn-Douglas Brady, you sit your butt down! I will get it.”
“Whoa, sorry Mom.” Shawn sat back down and started to laugh.
“Shawn, it’s Belle.”
“Hey Shawn, how does it feel to be home?”
Shawn burst out laughing and fell on the floor.

“Shawn Brady! You tell me what is so funny right now!”
Shawn’s face was turning different shades of read because he was laughing
so hard. After a couple of minutes he regained his composure. “I’m so sorry
Belle. It’s just, It’s just....”
“What? It’s just WHAT?”
“It’s you hair! What is going on with that? I have never seen it that
funky before?”
“Are you saying you remember the times when it was weird before?” Belle
screamed with excitement.
“Oh my gosh! I do! I remember the chopsticks and all the knots! I can’t
believe it”
Belle ran up to Shawn and gave him a hug, “I am soooooooooo glad you are
remembering, I can’t wait until you remember it all.”

“Hey, do you want another Herbal tea?”
“No thanks Philip. I’m not thirsty anymore.”
“Ok, why don’t we go for a walk to the park. Maybe we can rescue some
more little birds.”
Chloe laughed, “Ok. I’d love to.”
They walked to the park and sat down on a bench. Philip had brought some
bread to feed to the birds. He gave Chloe a piece. They started to feed the
birds, and after a couple of minutes they were surrounded by birds. Philip
and Chloe were laughing hysterically. All of a sudden it started to rain.
“oh my gosh! Lets get out of here. Shawn’s house it right near here.
Lets go there!”
Philip and Chloe started running to Shawn’s house.

Belle started to feel a little nervous and slowly pulled out of the hug,
her eyes locked with Shawn’s. They started to lean in for a kiss when the
doorbell rang. Belle jumped up and said, “I got it!”
Belle opened the door to find a drenched Philip and Chloe. “Guys, get in
here. You must be freezing.”
“We’re ok, its actually kind of fun!!!” Chloe and Philip were still
laughing hysterically.
“How’s my nephew doing today?”
“Oh! Its my favorite uncle. I’m doing great. Thanks.”
The teens sat down on the couch with Shawn. “Hey, who wants to watch a
movie?”
“I do!” they all exclaimed at the same time.
“I’ll go get some popcorn.”Belle left the room and came back 3 minutes
later with the popcorn.
During the movie, Shawn and Belle realised that Philip and Chloe hadn’t
been laughing at any of the funny parts. They turned and looked at the two
and found them kissing. “Maybe we should leave them alone.” Belle helped
Shawn get up and they went to the front door. “I know where we can go. I’ll
have my mom drive us.” They got in the Truck and Shawn whispered to his mom
where he wanted to go. She smiled and said, “That is a great idea! She will
love it. I will take you there only if you promise not to over exert youself!”
“Sounds good mom. I hope you like this place.”
“Shawn Brady, where are you taking me?”
“You will see.”
CHAPTER:23

Belle’s excitment grew as they drove along the streets of Salem. Shawn
pulled a blindfold out of his pocket and put it over Belle’s eyes. “Hey!
What is this for???”
“Belle, I want it to be a surprise. If you saw what street we were on you
would know where we are going.” A smile grew across Shawn’s face.
“Ok you two. We are here. Belle, you make sure that Shawn doesn’t do
anything to strenuous. He is still recovering.”
“Ok Mrs. Brady, I will watch him very closely once he takes this
blindfold off.”
“Bye Mom. I’ll call you when we want to be picked up.”
Hope drove away thinking to herself *Those two are the perfect couple.
There is nothing that will keep them apart.”

AT THE BRADY HOUSE
Philip and Chloe were still making out like crazy when the movie ended.
They finally took a breather and noticed that Shawn & Belle were gone. Chloe
blushed and got nervous about what had just happened between her and Philip.
Philip sensed her uneasiness and grabbed her hand. “Its ok. Don’t worry
about anything. Lets go to the park and watch some fireworks, it is the 4th
of July.”
“Ok, lets go.”
Chloe and Philip left the house and headed towards the park.

SHAWN AND BELLE
“Ok Shawn, it is time to take this blindfold off.”
“No, not quite yet.” Shawn grabbed Belle’s hand and started to lead her
away. Belle felt a smile growing on her face, she couldn’t believe that Shawn
was holding her hand.
“Not too much farther. ....... Ok. We are here. You can take off the
blindfold.”
Belle’s eyes ajusted to the dark and she saw where she was. “Oh Shawn!
You remember! You have to remember because no one could have told you about
this place, it is just for the two of us.”
“I remember everything, Perfect Girl. I remember the summer that Grandpa
and Bo helped us build this tree house. Do you remember the sleepovers we
used to have up there?”
“How could I forget?! We made a pact that if we ever needed the other
person that we could go here and just get away from the world.”
“Lets go up and check it out. After you.” Belle climbed up the ladder
and entered the tree house. Shawn came in right after her.
“Shawn did you do this?”Belle was amazed at what she saw, two sleeping
bags, marshmallows(her favorite), and some pillows.
“No, I had some help from Grandpa. I had my Mom call him and tell him we
were coming over here. I have another surprise for you. Come sit and look out
the window.”
Belle looked out the window, “Ummm, Shawn I don’t see anything.”
“Be patient! It will come.” Just then fireworks went off. Shawn grabbed
Belle’s hand and said, “Happy 4th of July Perfect Girl.”
“Happy 4th of July tough boy.”
Shawn leaned in and kissed Belle. He then pulled her into his arms and
they spent the rest of the night watching the fireworks.
