Road Rover Mission Control

The scene opens with a clear view of the black RR logo. Panning back, it is evident that the logo has been painted in the middle of a wide street. The road appears to be part of a monstrous track at Road Rover Mission Control, looping and twisting into a tight knot. Still in view of the logo in the middle of the road, a deep rumble is heard. A silver-and-blue speedbike screams over the insignia, leaving a tire track through the center. In a split second, three more bikes closely follow in the same path. A close view of the lead driver reveals he is wearing a black jacket with the familiar logo emblazoned in red on the shoulder. His lower body is clad in silver, his face masked by a helmet. The silver armor is clearly visible on the other three, but one of the figures is female. She drops behind momentarily and the other two take immediate advantage of it. They speed ahead, racing side-by-side. One is slightly taller than the other, driving more erratic. He turns his helmeted head towards the other and flips up his mask. It is Blitz. He then gives a wave toward the still-straggling female and attempts to pass the driver beside him. He cannot get by. His helmet Comlink crackles to life.

EXILE (over Comlink): Not so easy as used to be, eh?

BLITZ flips a switch on the handlebar and responds: Get out of my way you girly dog, before I wipe the street with you!

EXILE laughs and accelerates. Blitz makes a hard turn, nearly clipping Exile's rear wheel. Exile falters and momentarily loses control. Both comlinks register.

COLLEEN (over Comlink): Coming through!

Colleen speeds by the two and gains distance as Exile regains control of his bike. Blitz, in last place, flips yet another switch and small jets fire. He gains the advantage of speed and quickly passes Exile. Meanwhile, farther down the track, Colleen is attempting to regain the lead. She approaches the leader, who turns his head. He activates his Comlink.

HUNTER: (over Comlink, in Colleen's helmet) Gonna give me a race, huh?

COLLEEN: Trying, now why don't you move way over to the side of the road for me?

Hunter's laugh is drowned out by the screaming bikes. He flips off the comlink and fires his jets as he enters a loop. Colleen follows. As Blitz closes in, Exile is seen in the near distance. He fires his jets halfway into the loop and gains on Blitz, who looks back and panics. Attempting to jet again, he realizes he is out of fuel. Exile catches on.

EXILE (over Comlink): Cannot do the speeding away this time, eh Blitz? Welcome to dead last, comrade!

Exile fires jets once more and passes Blitz. Angered, Blitz activates a small torpedo weapon from under the bike and aims at Exile's tire. Exile closes distance on Hunter and Colleen.

EXILE (over Comlink): Look behind you, fearless leader!

Hunter looks back, and Colleen takes the lead.

COLLEEN: (over Comlink): Too bad, Huntie. Maybe next time.

HUNTER: You think it's over?

Hunter accelerates, but Exile is beside him. A short distance behind, Blitz fires. His aim is off, and a torpedo loosens one of Exile's jets. Exile collides with Hunter, and the two speed off course. Exile's bike skids to a stop on its side, with him on it. Hunter is not so lucky. He careens into a pole and is thrown from his crumpled bike. He lands in the dirt with a thud.

COLLEEN: Huntie!

BLITZ: (over Comlink): Shag! Get out here!

From a control tower building aside the track, Shag runs out with a first aid box. Colleen off-roads her bike and gets there first. She tries to run up, but Hunter raises his hand to stop her. Shag finally arrives and bends down to examine Hunter. Blitz is the last to arrive.

SHAG: lots of intelligible barks.

HUNTER (groaning): ...yeah, I think I'm okay. The suit took most of it...what happened?

EXILE: Lost control of bike for some reason. (stares angrily at Blitz) Sorry, sir.

HUNTER: ...don't worry about it. He tries to stand, cannot. Gimme a second, Shag.

Shag is resolute and insists on looking him over. Hunter finally agrees.

SHAG: more intelligable barks.

COLLEEN, BLITZ, EXILE: Ohhhhhhhhh. ...What?

HUNTER: He says I'm okay, I'm just bruised. (lays back down in the dirt) Wow, that was pretty cool! What a wierd way to start a season, though. Who's writing this stuff?

COLLEEN: Yeah, what kind of demented...

EXILE: Pyrover.

ALL (turn to audience): Ohhhhhhhh....

Undisclosed Location (Middle of Nowhere)

The scene shifts to a heavily guarded military building. Human and cano-mutant guards patrol the area onfoot and in small jeeps. A large armored truck pulls up to the door. Two Cano-Mutants leave their posts at the door as a cloaked figure exits the truck. He is escorted into the building.

Inside, General Parvo is seen at a desk. He is showing visible signs of fatigue. Clear tubing runs from his helmet to a pack attached to his belt. Groomer is sitting solemnly beside him. The cloaked figure, with the guards, enters the room. Parvo dispatches the cano-mutants to their post.

PARVO: Sit? Shake?

FIG is silent.

PARVO: Let's talk, then. (defeatedly) As you know, our situation is grave. I heard of your group's development, and I...

FIG: (slowly) What do you want?

The figure speaks in a deep, metallic voice. Parvo is intimidated by him.

PARVO: ...The chip is obviously what I want. I...

FIG: What can you give me?

PARVO: I own several Cano-Mutator chambers in the surrounding area...

FIG: They are of no use to me.

PARVO: Of course they aren't! Of course! But my troops...

FIG: Will all be dead in a matter of weeks, maybe days.

PARVO: ...Money! Money! That's what you want! And boy do I have it.

FIG: Your currency means nothing to me.

PARVO: ...There must be something you want from me.

The figure stares down at Parvo. His left eye , a perfect circle, glows red. A movement from within the cloak, and a small computer chip is tossed upon Parvo's desk. The cloaked figure steps to the door. He stops without turning.

FIG: I will think of something. For now, consider it a gift and your life temporarily spared. We will negotiate further. The figure exits.

Parvo heaves a sigh of relief and turns toward Groomer.

GROOMER: You're not done yet, sir.

PARVO: Get every human scientist we have duplicating this thing, pronto!

GROOMER: Yes, sir.

Road Rover Mission Control

Ah, the Mission Control Kitchen. Once again, the Rovers assemble for a relaxing bit of breakfast and conversation, usually lasting a total of thirty-five seconds. Exile and Blitz are at a table, already eating, Blitz trying to fake a good mood. Shag, in his festive chef's hat and "I'm A Cook...That Means I'm Better Than You" apron, is thoroughly enjoying the preparation of breakfast. The door slides open and Hunter enters. Except for a slight limp and a few small bandages on his head, it is hard to tell he is injured.

BLITZ: Mornin' boss! How'd you sleep? Everything just peachy?

HUNTER: (wondering what that was all about) ...yeeeaah...fine. Mornin' Exile.

EXILE: Morning, Hunter. How do you feel?

HUNTER: A little hungry. (yells) Shag? You back there?

SHAG responds with a woof.

HUNTER: Great. Whadda you makin'?

SHAG: more of those confusing barks.

HUNTER: Great! I'll have some of that.

EXILE: What did he just say?

HUNTER: I have no idea.

Colleen enters.

COLLEEN: Mornin' all!

Everyone says good morning.

COLLEEN: You feel okay, Huntie?

HUNTER: Yeah, no big deal. Fallen off of bigger stuff before.

BLITZ: Yeah, but didn't you almost die that one ti...

HUNTER: You're missing the point here, Blitz.

COLLEEN: What's everyone having?

BLITZ: Steak.

EXILE: Ham and eggs.

HUNTER: Uhhh, ask me again in like five minutes.

COLLEEN: (yells) Shag? I'll go with...

Hunter quickly motions for her to stop.

HUNTER: Let me try this...(yells) two eggs, over easy, three pieces of toast, orange juice, and raspberry jam. Not blueberry, Shag. Raspberry.

Colleen gives Hunter a smile.

SHAG: yells something from a back room.

HUNTER: Well I'm colorblind too, Shag! Just read the label!

A smirk from Colleen.

HUNTER: And a Milkbone!

COLLEEN: Uh, Huntie, I don't like Milkbones.

HUNTER: Yeah, but I do, and I already ordered, so...

A beeping comes from the table. Hunter presses a button and a hologram is projected. It is the Master.

HUNTER: Shag, get in here! Yes, sir?

MASTER: Good morning, Rovers. Our satellite system has traced excessive Cano-Mutant activity to a heavily wooded area in Vermont, USA. Security has been very high and there is little we have picked up, but it appears Parvo is massing for some sort of attack. There is no other logical reason for this centralization of his troops.

Hunter ponders. Shag runs in.

MASTER: I am sending the entire team. If you can fight off Parvo before his troop concentration becomes too high, we may be spared some time at the least. You have your orders. Any questions? Then move!

HUNTER: You heard the man, let's hit the road, Rovers!

---

Wednesday, 7:15 A.M.

Vermont, USA

The Rovers are in flight above snowy Vermont aboard the Sky Rover. Hunter is at the controls, alongside Blitz. Colleen and Exile are in the back, checking their gear for dustoff.

HUNTER: Something just doesn't make sense here, Blitz. Even Parvo wouldn't be so stupid as to mass so many soldiers in one area like this. Are we being drawn here for a reason? Will he strike somewhere else once we're distracted?

BLITZ: Who knows? In my humble opinion this whole thing is a death trap. What good are the five of us going to do against Parvo's army?

HUNTER: It's not the army we want, Blitz. Just Parvo. We're going to sneak in with as little noise as possible and try to de-centralize this whole thing before Parvo can launch another attack somewhere else.

BLITZ: Whatever, I just got this feeling that somebody's going to get hurt.

EXILE: (from back) Is going to be you if you don't be shutting up!

COLLEEN: Yeah Blitz, cheer up! We've been in worse, you know.

Blitz silently walks to the rear and prepares his gear. Hunter puts the Sky Rover on auto and goes back as well. A beeping sound is heard by the cockpit, so Hunter turns around, goes back up and presses a button. A hologram of the Master is seen.

MASTER: The situation has changed, Rovers. Parvo has been sloppy with the displacement of information, and we have been able to probe deeper into the base. It is in chaos. We do not yet know the reason for this disorganized state, but Parvo is obviously in no condition to plan any sort of attack. I want you to get into that base and find out what is causing this. Keep casualties to a minimum. Good luck.

The hologram fades.

HUNTER: I would not have predicted this...

---

Wednesday (again), 8:45 A.M.

Vermont, USA

The base is in a shambles. Cano-mutants lay everywhere. More troops scramble to take the place of those fallen.

A heavily-armored cargo craft performs a vertical landing in the base. A door is slid open, a platform dropped. The same dark, cloaked figure steps down. Darth Vader music plays. Two Cano-Mutant guards step from their positions at a door of the fortified main hangar to escort him in. One guard suddenly grabs his head and screams. He crumples to the ground, motionless. The cloaked one kicks him aside as the other guard continues on.

Parvo is again at his desk. Human guards surround him. Groomer still sits beside him, a worried look on her face. The figure enters, alone. For the first time, he is not in shadows. He is a human, his body covered with gruesome steel implants. His cloak covers his arms. His head is less than half robotic, wires and cables protruding from a smooth steel skull showing on the left side of his head. An impression in the steel makes for a circular eye socket, glowing bright red. It does not blink, only focus in and out from time to time. This is the figure of Dreadclaim. Parvo looks up. He is visibly weaker.

DREADCLAIM: Your guards to the door have fallen. Replacing them would be wise. You are weakening, I see.

PARVO: Why did you deactivate the chips? Why?

DREADCLAIM: I bestowed upon you the privelige of a temporary extention on your life. You attempted to take advantage of this gift. You are not trustworthy.

PARVO: I was only trying to save what was left of my...

DREADCLAIM: You wanted to negotiate. I let you live so we could do just that. I am no longer interested in negotiation. You have insulted me, and you will waste away with your pitiful followers. Dreadclaim turns to leave.

PARVO: Dreadclaim! Don't just leave me like this! Dreadclaim! Parvo, in anger, grabs a rifle from a guard and fires at the back of Dreadclaim. He turns. Dreadclaim is unharmed by the blast.

DREADCLAIM: You have made a terrible mistake, General Parvo. Unfortunate for you, I am angered easily. The world will now see your eradication. A wire extends from his head to in front of his mouth. Raven6. (Pauses) Terminate the base. Let no one live. Decimate every sign of life within fifty miles of this point. Out. Microphone retracts. Your incompetence has cost the lives of thousands of humans now, as well. And I will take pleasure in ripping you in half myself. With a tap on his shoulder, Dreadclaim is invisible. Only his circular eye remains visible. I will give you a head start. Go ahead! This will make things that much more amusing for me. I give you...five minutes.

Parvo stands up, still staring at the red eye. It stares back.

---

The Rovers are at the outside of the base. Nothing separates them but a fence. Hunter still limps.

HUNTER: Okay, before we jump the fence we ought to test it. He pulls out a tennis ball and tosses it at the fence. It sizzles and melts searing electricity bursts from it.

EXILE: What we do now?

HUNTER: ...I'll have to go in alone. You guys stay here and I'll be right back. He takes a few steps back, runs and leaps over the fence. (quietly) Stay!

Hunter creeps from shadow to shadow around watch towers. The spotlights suddenly dim out. Speakers crackle to life.

GROOMER: All remaining units to stations! The base is under attack! All remaining units to stations!

HUNTER: Wonder what's going on. Oh...my.....

Hunter is aghast at the sight of hundreds of Cano-Mutants lying crumpled in the dirt. Human soldiers scramble to their positions, literally running right past him. When he comes to his senses, he realizes there is no danger of him being found. He runs to the main complex.

---

The rest of the Rovers are at the gate. Shag has a computerized map displaying the perimeter of the base. Shag does another of his intelligible strings of barks. Exile takes the map from Shag.

EXILE: Shag is right. Fence completely surrounds base.

COLLEEN: Well, we can't just sit here.

BLITZ: What's wrong with just sitting here? I myself am perfectly fine with just sitting here.

The Rovers hear the same message from the Groomer and see the human soldiers scrambling.

COLLEEN: Something's going on in there. We've got to find a way in!

EXILE: (gets an idea) Oh! Wait a minute. Steps back and fires an icy blast at a section of the fence. It shatters to the ground.

EXILE: ...After you.

The team steps through the fence and looks around.

BLITZ: I think I'm going to throw up...

EXILE: This is most disgusting thing I have ever seen. (looks around) Get back! Troops heading this way! Colleen!

Colleen is still staring down at the fallen Cano-Mutants. She kneels down at one and puts her gloved hand at its neck to take its pulse. A tear falls from her face. Everyone ducks back, except for Colleen who is still bent over the Cano-Mutant. The troops run by without paying attention to her.

EXILE: Why they not notice us? Something big about to happen...

Shag, still staring at his screen, starts to bark wildly. Blitz grabs the screen and gets excited as well.

BLITZ: Incoming craft from the north! It's huge! It...

EXILE: It right there!!!

Exile points in the direction of a massive, football-shaped warship heading in their direction. Hundreds of tiny specks burst from the sides and begin closing in. As they grow nearer, they are recognized as humanoid forms. Cano-Sapiens of all sizes and breeds, wearing black armor, heads fitted with heavy helmets and hands clenched to massive weapons. They blast in on back-mounted jetpacks. As they land, the packs fold into their suits. They say nothing. They land and immediately open fire on everything around them. They continue to come in swarms. Colleen is now attentive.

COLLEEN: Everybody get to the main complex, now!

---

Hunter is searching the complex for Parvo, unaware of what is transpiring outside. He still limps a bit. He passes a large door, then turns and opens it. There is a desk at the far end. A small computer chip sits on it, accomponied by a disk. Hunter takes them both. He exits the room and keeps walking. The hall ends at a giant reception hall with a long table. Parvo is at the end of the room, trying to open a security door. Hunter runs toward him. Parvo hears him and turns as Hunter jumps. They grapple and Parvo throws Hunter off.

PARVO: Not now! Hes coming for me!

HUNTER: (springs pack up and jumps again) You're not going anywhere, Parvo!

Parvo swings his metal arm at Hunter and pummels him in midair. Hunter slams the ground as Parvo immediately goes back to work on the door. Hunter staggers up. With no warning, the table in the room is smashed in two. Parvo turns to see the red eye.

DREADCLAIM: Hunter, I did not expect you to be involved with this.

HUNTER: Who's there?

DREADCLAIM: You do not know me, Hunter. I am a power you have not yet reckoned with. And if you instruct your team to leave now, I will not be forced to break you.

HUNTER: Who are you?!

Dreadclaim appears in the room. Hunter stares at the disfigured humanoid before him.

---

Outside the complex, the steel-clad soldiers still come in droves. One group of soldiers has finished demolishing the last control tower at the perimeter of the base. Two speak.

SOLDIER: (yelling over blasts) Where now, sir?

P83-04G: Team 2041 has the complex already surrounded, the order hasn't been given to attack yet. Word is Dreadclaim is in there. Perimeter is secured. Take out the troop transports before any humans can escape.

GROUP: Yes, sir!

The group sprints from the control tower at the perimeter into the base. One soldier, the commander, is left. He has caught eye of a group of soldiers that have round up captives. They are not warriors, they are prisoners of Parvo. Some are children as young as eleven or twelve.

P83-04G: Where were they found?

SOLDIER: In hangar 47. Too bad they can't fight back, makes me feel that much worse.

The soldiers raise their weapons. One orders to set for napaalm-discharge. The commander cringes. He stares down at a small child, crying for her mother. A flashback comes to him, of a female soldier being chased by someone. She is a black Labrador retrever Cano-Sapien, wearing the same uniform as he. She is sprinting, but the cloaked figure that chases her barely walks. He vanishes. She turns a dark corner to see a red, circular eye approaching her. Dreadclaim appears. He grabs her neck with his marred, twisted arm and lifts her up. And as the life drains from her, he laughs.

The commander snaps to life as an officer is giving the order to fire.

P83-04G: Wait! (they hold) Let me, stand back.

He raises his weapon, then quickly turns on the troops and fires. A wide stun beam coarses through them. All are knocked unconscious but one.

SOLDIER: All SIEGE units! Friendly fire from P83-04G! Friendly fire! Requesting backup...

The traitor grabs him by the arm, tears the Comlink from his helmet, knees his stomach and throws a right hook into his face. The soldier drops and the traitor turns to the stunned crowd.

P83-04G: Get to any troop transport you can find! Any form of transportation available! Once you get out of fifty miles from here, you're safe! Go! (to himself) Dreadclaim...you've made me forget how much I hate you.

This traitor is now as marked for death as Parvo himself. His own men turn and fire upon him. He jumps behind a burning troop transport, tipped on its side. Seeing the open door of the main complex, he decides to make a break for it. With a burst of speed, he sprints for the entrance. Lasers penetrate his armor at the shoulder, then graze his helmet. He falls to the ground. Lights once flashing on the helmet go dead. His vision is impaired. He stumbles back up and still barely sees the door. He reaches it, punches a panel and the door slides shut.

---

Colleen, Shag, Blitz and Exile are now in the complex searching for Hunter. They reach a crossroads.

COLLEEN: Shag, you go that way. Blitz, go that way. Exile, go this way. I'm taking this hall here. Radio for assistance.

The group splits up. Colleen walks down the hall, alone. Images of the Cano-Mutant flash in her head. She again tears up. Kneeling down, she cannot stand the sight of the dead anymore. They litter the hall she walks on, weapons clenched in a death grip as if they had no time to drop them. She cries.

P83-04G: Get up.

A Cano-Sapien is above her, clad in the red and black armor and carrying a heavy weapon. His helmet is damaged. He takes it off. He is tall and rather skinny, with red fur and a long, pointed nose. His left eye glows red, although he has no robotic implants visible on his head. He stares down at Colleen.

P83-04G: Hurry. The SIEGE are surrounding this complex.

Colleen gets up and follows the mysterious soldier down the hall.

COLLEEN: Why are you helping me?

P83-04G: A moment of truth, you might say. I remembered something from long ago that SIEGE made me forget.

COLLEEN: SIEGE?

The soldier is silent.

The two pass another Cano-Mutant body. Colleen is more devestated.

P83-04G: Try not to think about it. I feel sorry for them too. We need to find a transport out of here.

COLLEEN: I came in with my team on a jet, not far from the base.

P83-04G: You're not with Parvo?

COLLEEN: No, of course not. I'm a Road Rover.

P83-04G: Sorry, never heard of them.

COLLEEN: Well, if I can call the team together, we can try to sneak back out. Do you need help??

P83-04G: Uh, yeah. I kinda got my squadmates a little mad.Where's your team?

COLLEEN: In this complex. Wait a minute...(pulls Comlink from belt) Exile, Shag, Blitz. You there?

All respond positive.

COLLEEN: Any sign of Hunter yet?

EXILE: Nyet. Not a trace.

COLLEEN: Well hurry up. I met someone who says the complex is next for infiltration.

BLITZ: Oh great, what did I tell you all? We're all going to die!

EXILE: Way to be thinking the positive, Blitz.

COLLEEN: Anyway, he needs help and we've got to get out of here. Join on my location. Over and out.

P83-04G: Who's Hunter?

COLLEEN: He's our leader. He came in here some time ago.

P83-04G: Let me try to pick him up. Is he human?

COLLEEN: Cano-Sapien.

P83-04G: Right.

The soldier's glowing eye becomes green, and small graph lines are visible on it. He is silent for a moment.

P83-04G: I've got one reading from a large room at the end of this hall. Let's go see if it's him.

The two run down the hall.

---

Hunter is thrown against a wall. He staggers and gets back up. He is visibly beaten. His armor is mangled and dented. Dreadclaim has momentarily forgotten about Parvo, who has quietly stepped back to the door and has again begun working at it.

DREADCLAIM: You see, Hunter, I can predict every move you make. I warned you not to meddle in my affairs. But you insisted to get in the way. And now you will be crushed.

Hunter reaches for his belt and finds that his Comlink is smashed.

HUNTER: Oh, man!...I would not have predicted this.

DREADCLAIM: I tire with this game. Now you die. Which method of grisly death do you prefer? There are so many choices.

HUNTER: I was always fond of the firing squad myself, but then there's hanging, and..ooh! Burning at the stake! That's definately for me! Gotta go with the stake!

DREADCLAIM: Let us make this simple.

Dreadclaim extends his disfigured human/robot arm to Hunter.

DREADCLAIM: AutoMaG 700.

The steel around the end of his arm opens and moves, converting to a massive weapon.

DREADCLAIM: Have you ever felt the pierce of a thousand bullets in your body? You will now, Hunter. And then you will feel no more.

Dreadclaim positions the arm-weapon at Hunter's bloodied head. P83-04G runs in with Colleen.

COLLEEN: Stop!

HUNTER: Colleen, no!

DREADCLAIM: Leave me be! Static Pulse.

At his word, the arm again converts into a new weapon. It fires and knocks Colleen into the wall.

P83-04G: Dreadclaim! I know what you did. I saw it! I saw everything! You forced me to forget it, Dreadclaim! I remember! I saw you kill her!

Dreadclaim turns to the soldier and fires the Pulse cannon. P83-04G flies backward and lands hard, but gets back up. He picks up his weapon.

P83-04G: AutoMaG 700!

The weapon converts, and the soldier fires. Shells fly from the gun and land on Dreadclaim, but do no harm.

DREADCLAIM: That...was...a...mistake.

P83-04G: Napaalm-discharge, force impact!

The weapon converts again, and again the soldier tries his luck. A spherical canister launches at Dreadclaim. Upon hitting its mark, it sets a fury of liquid fire upon the monster. He falters, then gains his footing. Still burning, he walks toward the soldier.

DREADCLAIM: (a long pause) Havoc Cannon.

His arm converts to an immense cannon. It drains energy from the surrounding atmosphere as it glows and hums. He fires. A powerful energy blast pummels P83-04G. He falls, motionless. By this time, Colleen is up. She stares at him, hoping for movement. Dreadclaim, laughing, raises the cannon again.

DREADCLAIM: Like mother, like son...

As he readies to fire, Blitz is upon him. He slashes into the arm-cannon, tearing it apart, then goes to work at his chest. Dreadclaim shows no sign of pain, but grabs Blitz with his other arm and tosses him off. An ice blast hits him in the legs. Exile jumps in front of the immobile Dreadclaim.

EXILE: What you think now, comrade? You want part of me?

BLITZ: (getting up) Piece of me, Exile.

EXILE: Whatever. I fight you now.

As Exile jumps to land a kick, Dreadclaim breaks from the ice. He grabs hold of Exile, but Hunter has gotten up speed and a second wind. He rams him from behind. Dreadclaim collapses to the ground, then quickly gets back up. Exile lands on his feet as Shag attacks. With a clang of metal, he lands his fists into Dreadclaim's chest. The blow is heavy, and and indentation is seen on the steel chest plate. The cyborg is barely able to stand. he looks back and realizes Parvo has escaped.

DREADCLAIM: This trivial scrimmage is not worth my time and energy. You have proven some worth. (into microphone) Raven6, withdraw the attack. Until we meet again, Hunter.

A blinding light fills the room, and Dreadclaim is gone. Hunter, panting, congratulates the team.

HUNTER: Way to go, guys. Not a bad jo...

Hunter sees Colleen, at the wall where P83-04G fell. He is still unconscious. His chest armor has been battered by the blast. She kneels over him.

COLLEEN: Help him!

To be continued...

What has caused Parvo's Cano-Mutants to die off so quickly? Who are Dreadclaim and SIEGE, and how are they tied with Hunter? Who is this soldier, and what was the flashback he encountered that made him desert his leader? All questions will be answered, next week on...
