At the airport

"Sydney, Broots, here are your tickets. Weīll meet in Ireland. Syd, you know the place." and Parker smiled as the older man made a face as he thought about the boat trip. "Youīll change your plane several times like weīll do. I'll take Debbie with me so they donīt find us too easily.

Meanwhile, at the Centre

"How could this happen?" Parker shouted, punching his desk angrily.

Raines had never seen him in such a rage.

"Who allowed them to shoot at her? They nearly killed her, dammit!"

"It was a misunderstanding." Raines wheezed.

"A misunderstanding?" he shouted, his face bright red. "They nearly killed my daughter!"

"Oh, come on. We both know that you're not her daddy." Raines scoffed.

"What would we have done if she died? Then we'd have to search for another female pretender. You know that's it's nearly impossible to recognize in an adult. We just don't have the time to raise another one. And now that we had both of them and the technology for her, we lost them again." he yelled, hitting the desk again.

Raines nodded. Parker was right. "We'll find them. They can't be far away."

Finally inside their plane, Parker guided Debbie to their seats.

"Do you wanna sit at the window?" she asked the girl warmly, who nodded.

"You surely want to know why we're doing all this, huh?" and Debbie nodded again and looked at her with big, sad, blue eyes.

"You donīt have to be scared. Everything's gonna be ok. Itīs just that some people think we did something wrong, and now they want to punish us for it. But as long as Iīm with you, no one's gonna do anything."

"What have you done?" Debbie asked curiously.

"The person your dad, Sydney and me were chasing for so long, escaped us again."

"Uncle Jarod?" she said innocently.

"Yes! How do you know him?" Miss Parker's eyes grew wide.

"He visited us once." she filled her in, unsuspecting.

"Aha." Parker didn't wanted to scare Debbie, and she made a mental note to chat with Broots later. Sometime during the endless seeming flight Debbie woke beside Parker.

"Where are we going, Miss Parker?"

"Oh, thatīs a surprise. I wonīt spoil it for you. But youīll like it, trust me."

Airport

Dublin, Ireland

Broots and Sydney arrived first in the small town Sydney and Miss Parker were in before. They waited several hours at the airport until Miss Parker and Debbie arrived. After renting a car they drove straight to the town, where Miss Parker and Sydney had caught and lost Jarod before, then onto the boat landing. Luckily Capt. Jankings sat in front of his boat and repairing his fish net. He recognized his visitors immediate and greeted them warmly.

"Hello. Back again. This time with the whole family, huh?"

"Something like that, something like that." Sydney responded.

"Could you give us a ride to the island again?" Miss Parker came straight to the point.

"Sure. Everythingīs a question of money." he said, winking.

"Sure. Is that enough?" she held out a few notes.

"For that, Iīll be your taxi for the whole week." his eyes wide as he reached out to take the bills, but Parker pulled back. "First the ride, then the money."

"Deal."

On "Parker Island"

Parker unlocked the front door and let the others in.

"Wow!" Broots and Debbie said in unison as they all entred the courtyard of the castle. He sat down the two suitcases and turned around to see the whole courtyard.

"Ok, ok. You can have some armor and play later. Letīs get our stuff inside before it rains."

Parker and Sydney walked before them and Broots and Debbie followed them with mouths open and eyes wide.

"Thatīs so cool." Debbie wispered to her dad.

"What the hell..." Parker opened the door to the house which wasnīt locked. She glanced around inside and saw light at the end of the hallway. She looked at Sydney and Broots and signalled to them to wait there while she put down her luggage and pulled out her gun.

Everything was quiet except for her soft footsteps. She realized while she stole along the wall, that it was candellight. Before she rounded the corner she took a deep breath and then spun around.

To her surpise Jarod sat with his back to her. She startled him, he stood up, surprising her even more as she spotted Angelo sitting behind him.

"Can either of you explain what youīre doing here?" she almost smiled. She was happy to see Angelo again. She had worried about what might happen to him while they were away.

"Jarod wanted leave." Angelo spoke with his childlike voice and Miss Parker walked next to them so Jarod had to turn around to see her.

"And so you two just left." it was more a statment than a question.

"Yes!" Jarod grinned at her.

"Miss Parker?" Sydneyīs voice filled the hallway. "Everything all right?"

Parker rolled her eyes and called back "Sure, Micky Mouse and Goofy are here, too. Come over!"

"Jarod! Angelo!" Sydney grinned at them and couldnīt believe his eyes.

"Can I have a word with you?" with that Miss Parker pulled Jarod up from his chair and drug him gruffly with her into the next room. She shoved him inside and kicked the door shut.

"Do you have a clue what you've done!" she yelled at him.

"Huh?" Jarod was first stunned, even more so when she put her gun back in the holster.

"What do you think why we're here, huh?" she shouted at him, annoyed.

"They thought one of us helped you escape and then they decided to eliminate us. How does that sound to you?" she wasn't about to stop, "Sydney was pushed from the road and someone tried to shoot me." this was the first time she really looked at him and saw the little burn marks on his temple.

"Electro shocks." Jarod informed her. "But why did they think you helped me out? I made it out with Angelo's help."

"Thatīs what I want to know, too." with that she walked back to the door but Jarod stoped her with a soft and deep voice she barely heard.

"I thought it would be different."

"What?" she turned to face him again.

"Our next meeting. I mean after our last goodbye in town...."

"Oh Jarod, donīt be stupid. What did you expect? That I fall in your arms? Oh boy." then she opened the door and left him confused.

Jarod gathered his thoughts and went after her to just hear her organize their stay with Sydney and Broots.

"We havenīt got electricity yet, but Iīm working on it. For now we must content ourselves with candles and wood for fire." Jarod meddled.

When they were about to go upstairs he wanted to pick Miss Parker's luggage but she pushed him away "I can do that myself."

"Ok." Jarod held his hands up in surrender and helped Broots and Debbie instead.

Miss Parker hadnīt brought much with to the island and ordered Capt. Jankins to pick her up the next day so she could go shopping.

"I brought some new beddings though I didnīt thought Angelo and me would have guests so soon. All we have to do is bring some wood up for tonight. I saw a wood-pile in the courtyard."

"Fine, you can bring me the wood." Parker didnīt even looked at him.

"What have I done to you?" he leand down to whispered to her and she snapped around and throw her bags to the ground.

"What you did? Youīre the reason I got almost killed. And Sydney, too." she added.

"You should admit that you can really piss me off." then she realized that everyone was staring at them. Debbie stepped behind her dad and the smile on Sydney's face froze.

"Ok, this isn't getting us anywhere. Why donīt we try to get some rest and talk again tomorrow?" Sydney tried to relax the tension.

"Good idea." Broots voice was only a whisper.

"Fine. Jarod can show you your new room." then Parker slipped inside the room they stayed before, the room her mom had chosen for her.

She leaned against the inner door and felt like she could breath again since the attack on her.

She heared several doors close and the voices on the hallway were gone.

Parker opened her eyes and ... yelled Jarods name.

Jarod stood with Sydney in the room he chose for him and closed his eyes as he heard her scream.

"Did you do something to the room?" Sydney asked amused.

"Not to the room." he clenched his teeth and left to see Parker.

The door opened and his clothes and stuff flew in his face. "Wha... hey! I just cleaned the room and made everything ok for me."

But she already shut the door in his face. He let the last clothes fall to the floor and dared to knock. Because she didnīt respond he opened the door a crack and watched inside.

"Parker?"

"What?" she snapped back pulling out her cigarettes. In all that trouble she had almost forgotten them.

"Iīm sorry. But I couldnīt know you would come here, could I?"

No answer, so he walked further in the room.

"Why havenīt you settled in the room she choose for you?" Parker slowly turned and watched around in the room.

"Just because, well, because I remembered the time we spent here before. You know, so I could remember."

Then Debbie knocked and stormed in. "Miss Parker, come and see where I stay." and waited for her.

"Sure, go on, Iīll come in a minute, ok?" and Parker smiled at her.

Jarod watched, amazed by how she changed in the presence of the little girl. He thought he could see her mom shining out through her. Parker caught him staring at her and shifted back in her old Parker mood.

"What, lab-rat?"

"I have a feeling of deja-vu. Didnīt we had this conversation here before? About you and one time youīre like the friend I once had and then you become again your dadīs evil daughter. Do you remember what happend in that conversation?" he drilled in her eyes.

"Yes. Sydney startled us." with that she walked past him out to Debbie.

Jarod showed Broots were everything is and Miss Parker walked Debbie around. The little girl was too exited to get any sleep that night but Parker persuaded her to go to bed after Broots failed.

In the middle of the night, Broots woke and it took him a while to orientate himself where he was. Then he made his way to the toilet with a candle in his hand. The flashlight he had left with Debbie. His brave girl insisted on having her own room instead of sharing him who wished he was not alone. Well, she was growing up and he couldnīt do anything to change it.

He tiptoed along the hallway as quietly as possible and on his way back, he got confused. Which was his room? There were too many rooms at least. He looked questioningly up and down the hallway. Was it this or the next one? He wasnīt sure. īI think it here.> then he opened the door carefully and tried to make his way to the bed without banging into any furniture. The damn candle didnīt help much to see anything; truth was, it did little more than blind him. Just as he was about to pull the covers back he froze.

"Jarod???" he could heard a sleepy female voice whisper and sit up on the bed.

"Oh, Miss Parker!" he was in serious danger. "Iīm sorry, I ..." he stumbled back.

"Broots! What the hell are you doing here?" she screamed at him.

"Iīm sorry. Really. I must have mixed our rooms. Please forgive me!" then he opened the door quickly and jumped out of the "Lair of the Dragon".

The next morning, as Broots entred the kitchen, his daughter and Jarod were already busy to make breakfast. Sydney sat on the table and watched them amused. Debbie showed Jarod how to make flapjacks.

"Good Morning!" he greeted them and gave Debbie a kiss on the head.

"Howīs my princess?"

Then Miss Parker entered and Broots froze again.

"īmorning!" Jarod greeted her with a smiling face.

"I hope you thought this time....."

".... of coffee. Yes! Here it is. Want some?" he offered gently as though never ever happend anything.

Parker didnīt even appreciated Broots a look during the whole breakfast, which made him nervous. Later on the hallway he caught up with her.

"Miss Paker, I want to say sorry for last night." he looked to the ground.

"Youīre forgiven. I could have been worse." was all she replied and left him standing there.

"Ok, fine, she didnīt killed me. Thatīs a good sign." he mumbled and strolled back to the kitchen.

Outside, Parker met Jarod in the courtyard. He was busy fixing a small wagon he found.

"We can use it to get our stuff here from the shore." he filled her in.

"Fine." then silence felt between them till she broke it. "How did you do it this time?"

"What?" he asked innocently.

"What? Your escape, you moron!"

"Oh, that. Well, I had some help."

"Angelo, I know. By the way, where is he?" Parker turned and looked around.

"Mhm, donīt know. He took some breakfast this mornig and then dissapeared. I think heīs looking around in the castle. He surely found a secret way in there." he smirked. "To answer your first question. None of you were involved in my escape. Angelo took me with him out through the ventilation system to the main entrence. There, we walked out."

"You walked out. Just walked out and no one held you back?" she stared unbelievingly at him.

"Not simple. You know, I made a job as F/X-artist once, so I made us a new face with stuff Angelo got me." and grinned mischeviously at the woman in front of him.

"You really want to tell me itīs that easy to escape the Centre?"

"Well, yes. If you know how."

Parker shook her head in disbelief till she was startled by the alarm on Jarod's watch.

"Oh, Captain Jankinīs coming to pick me up in half an hour."

"To pick you up. I told him to pick me up at 10 am. And I paid him, too. Why the hell didnīt he told me that he brought you here anyway." she cursed.

"Maybe because I told him not to talk about me and Angelo? This means youīre coming with me?" he looked at her questionatly.

"Argh!" she stormed back inside the house. "Iīll be there in a second. Wait here." she called and ordered after her.

Inside she nearly run down Debbie.

"Oops! Be careful!"

"Miss Paker. Can we go and take a walk to look whatīs around?" and looked eagerly at her.

"Iīm sorry, honey but I have to go to town and buy some stuff weīll need here. You donīt want we donīt have any food her, do you."

"No!" and Parker could see her disappointment and added quickly "But as soon as Iīm back weīll put on our hiking boots and go for a walk, ok?" and she smiled at her.

"Parker!" Jarod shouted from outside and she rolled her eyes and shouted back "I said Iīm coming!"

"Will you bring me something back?" Debbie asked her.

"Mhm, sure, like what?"

"I donīt know. Surprise me." then she ran back to the kitchen and Parker headed in her room to grab her purse and her jacket. This time she brought a heavy one with her.

Down in the hall before the door Broots hurried to her.

"Miss Parker! Glad I caught you. Could you, could you bring something back for me, please?"

"Mhm" Parker rolled her eyes "What do you need?" she then asked annoyed.

"Oh, I made a list and this is Sydīs list." He gave her two small notes and she disappeared through the door.

"Thanks!" he shouted after her.

"Ready?" Jarod strolled towards her, pulling the wagon behind him.

"Mhm."

"Ok, letīs go."

"Jarod, your good mood is ...."

"Infectious?"

"No, you moron, annoying."
