CHAPTER 32/?

Over the next few months Sunnydale has little demon action. Angel returns to Sunnydale and helps the Slayers. Liena and Spike much to Angel’s disgust and annoyance they become even closer. Even so they avoid saying they love each other unsure about how to deal with it.

One night Liena receives a phone call from Methos. He tells her that he sent a surprise for her and that it would be in Sunnydale the following day. After asking Methos what it is she is surprised when he tells her its a secret.

The next day Liena receives the mysterious package sent overnight mail. Excited she opens the envelope attached.

“Liena,
This is for you and your family. I thought that you could use it. Love, Adam”

Curious Liena rips into the package to find an untitled book with another envelope. Opening the envelope she finds a letter.

“Dear Ms. O’Riley
Our mutual friend contacted me and told me of your situation. I owe Adam my life and to repay him I looked into the situation. I am happy to inform you that this book contains a spell that can bind a soul to a body without having a clause. I received the book from the last of the Kalderash clan by the name of Jenny Calendar.”

Liena stares at the letter in surprise “OH my God” she says stunned. She continues reading.

“Jenny sent me this book prior to her unfortunate death. She asked me to keep this book. She wanted to use it to help Angelus. It was her wish to restore his soul and even bind it. She told me here ultimate plan was to find away to help him regain his mortality. The book has the full soul restoration spell (minus the clause) and some other things that might be of interest to you. Please let me know how it goes.
Sincerely, Professor Joseph Tajero.”

Liena stares at the letter in her hands and then yells “Spike”

“What pet?” Spike asks from the kitchen. Seeing the look on her face he walks over to her. “Luv what’s wrong?” he asks

Wordlessly Liena hands him the letter. She goes to the kitchen counter and stares at the book in shock. “Will this spell can bind his soul with out the clause.”

Spike wraps his arms around her shoulders his chin rests on her head. “No more worrying that Peaches will go psycho on us.”

“Will?”

“Yes pet?”

Liena turns to look up at him. “We could restore yours” she says nervously

Spike moves away angrily. He runs his hands through his hair and paces. “Kat I am a demon. I like being one. I don’t want to be like Peaches all soul having and brooding. I may love you but I’m not going to change who I am, what I am.” he says angrily

Liena stares at him in surprise “I’m not asking you to Will. I don’t care about whether or not you have a soul. I love you whether or not you have one.” she walks closer to the vampire and asks. “So you love me?”

Spike touches her cheek with his fingers “Yeah pet I love you.” he kisses her hard he pulls away leaving her breathless

She stares into the bright blue eyes “I love you too Will.” she kisses him

“So pet are you going to call Peaches?”

Liena shakes her head “No. I want to check with Adam first to see if its true. Then I’ll run it by Giles.”

“When are you getting around to telling dear old Dad?” Spike asks

“I want to be sure of its authenticity before I tell him.” she pulls away to walk up the stairs stopping she calls “Are you coming?”

“Where are the kids?” Spike asks following her up the stairs

“I asked Xander to take Jess to the park for a couple hours. Liam’s got a minor ear ache. I gave him some aspirin and put him down for a nap.” They reach the bedroom.

Spike pulls her to him and kisses her gently. Looking down at her he brushes his thumb across her bottom lip. “Beautiful” he whispers

Liena pulls his head down and kisses him back. Moaning when Spike tugs on her bottom lip. Their tongues meet. Liena pulls away from him strips off his red shirt. Their lips meet tenderly and Spike removes her shirt kissing his way down her neck and shoulders. Liena threads her fingers through his hair whimpering his name. She pulls his head back up and kisses him. Her hands going to waistband of his jeans untucking his T-shirt she runs her hands up his back and his sides. Spike pulls away and removes his shirt. Liena kisses his neck and shoulders. Spike’s hands trail up her sides to cup her breasts brushing his thumbs against her nipples. Liena whimpers at the feeling and arches into his touch.

Spike’s lips trail to her ear “No bra luv?” he asks his voice husky

“No” she stammers

Spike strips off her tank top leaving her dressed in only her shorts. Slowly Spike plants kisses down her neck. He moves her back until the back of her legs hit the bed. “Sit” he growls. Liena sits and Spike continues to kiss his way down to her breasts. Liena gasps in pleasure at the feeling of Spike’s cool mouth on her breast.

“Will” she cries as he kisses his way down her stomach. His tongue dipping into her belly button tugging lightly on the navel ring. Liena whimpers as his hands trail up her legs.

“Smell so sweet” he growls. Yellow and brown eyes meet as Spike trails his fingers up the leg of her shorts. Liena gasps at the feeling of cool fingers touching her lightly. She watches as Spike nuzzles her crotch his hands going to the waist of her shorts. “Lift your hips” he orders roughly. After removing her shorts and panties he kneels before her his eyes bright blue rather than the golden yellow. He grins at her his hand tracing the tattoo on her inner thigh. “Like the tattoo luv.” He leans forward and kisses it. He kisses his way to her center.

As she feels his tongue at her center she gasps his name. She feels his fingers gently enter her as he licks and sucks on her clit. She runs her fingers through his hair wanting him closer. “Please Will” she begs.

“Please what?” he demands

Liena whimpers unable to speak she closes her eyes.

“Look at me Kat.” Liena opens her eyes and stares into his blues. “Tell me what you want” he growls

“You” she retorts breathlessly as she feels her body tighten then explodes as she sobs his name. She feels his cool body cover hers. She opens her eyes to meet his gaze she moans as he enters her. “I love you” she says against his lips. She wraps her legs around his hips as they move together with both tenderness and ferociousness.

“I love you too” he replies kissing her gently

Hearing that Liena tightens her grip on him as she reaches her climax. “Oh God Will” she whimpers digging her nails into his back

Spike growls her name his eyes flash gold yet he stays in his human face as he feels her tighten around him. He reaches his climax seconds after Liena and collapses ontop of her. They lay there breathless still joined as Spike purrs in contentment and Liena strokes his neck. Spike begins to move off her.

Liena whimpers in protest “Stay Will.”

Spike kisses her neck in response “We better move then pet.”

“Why?” she asks

“Luv my legs are hanging off the bed” he chuckles he tightens his grip on her hips as he stands up. He groans as she tightens her legs around him. Balancing her carefully he uses his other hand to pull the sheets down. Carefully he lowers her to the bed rolling so they are face to face. “So beautiful” he says softly stroking her cheek. “How do you feel pet?”

She turns her head nuzzling his hand. “Better. I always feel better when we’re together.” She gasps as Spike shifts his hips. “When we’re together I feel like its not important for everything to be settled.”

“Settled?”

“With you and that annoying chip. Angel’s soul. My darling bitch of a mother” she sighs

“What about your mother pet?” Spike asks “You never talk about her”

“I have this fear that one day she’ll show up and ruin everything. She has a tendency to show up and ruin things. Will when she appears in my life I always lose someone.” At that moment they hear the baby cry.

“Stay” Spike orders “I’ll go get him.” He kisses her and pulls out of her. Standing Spike pulls on his jeans. “I want you to explain when I return.”

Liena nods. She slips on his red shirt and buttons it. She pulls on her panties as she hears Spike walk into the room with the whimpering baby. Liena looks up to see the baby rubbing his ear “Little man your ear still hurts huh?” she asks taking the nine month old from Spike.

“Mama” he whimpers burrowing into her arms

“I know baby.” she says kissing his head. She leans against Spike. “First she ran before waiting for my father to return.”

“She was pregnant and scared luv. She had no other choice.”

“I know. I can over look that fact but I’m talking about later events.”

“What happened luv?”

“Somehow she still managed to appear when she didn’t want me. It was almost as if she knew who I was but she couldn’t figure it out. She’s appeared in my life from time to time killing people I knew. The reason we came to Sunnydale was to warn Buffy. But we found out she was here and Luca thought that we should try to get her to recant the curse.”

“You didn’t want it?” asks Spike

“I did but I didn’t you know. I think I wanted it because Luca thought that it would be a good thing for Jessa’s sake. The thought that she could return at anytime scares me. She’s taken so much from me I don’t think I could stand it if she took anymore.” Liena kisses the baby’s head

“Kat what if she somehow remembers? Would you want to be mortal?”

Liena shrugs “I don’t know. There are good points and bad.”

“Good?”

“We wouldn’t have to move so much. The kids. No more being carded. No more vamping because I get angry”

Spike chuckles and kisses her head. “What of the bad?”

Liena leans her head back on his shoulder “I’ll have to worry about people from my past finding me and killing me for good. I think the biggest reason would be that if I were mortal I’d die of old age or something leaving Angel and Adam brooding even more than they do.”

“Hey what about me?”

“Besides missing me I think you’d be fine. A lot better than those two.”

Spike chuckles. “That’s true. Peaches would brood way too much.” he hugs her. “But would you want to be?”

She looks at him “Only if you and Angel were too. I know Adam can’t be since he was born to be Immortal.”

“I don’t know if I would want to be mortal” Spike says

“Why?”

Spike sighs “I guess its because I’ve been a bloody demon for so long that I can’t remember how to be human. Plus the fact without our strength Peaches and I wouldn’t survive in a fight.”

“And Drusilla?” Liena asks

“Yeah” he admits “Dru and I may not be together anymore”

“But you still worry about her”

“Yes”

“I know the feeling. I still worry about some of my exes.”

“I don’t think she’d survive if both Angel and I weren’t around. She maybe a powerful vampire but she’s still like a child. She needs us.”

“Most women would be jealous but I understand. She’s a part of your life. Besides I doubt she’ll remember. I’m not going to push her to remember unless all of us could be mortal.”

“So all or none” Spike muses

“No I’m saying that I won’t push it unless we find a way for you, Angel, and even Dru to be mortal. I’m not telling you that I’d love you anymore than I do now I’m just thinking about the good things that could happen if all of us were.”

“I know pet” Spike says kissing her

They hear the front door open and close. “Mama. Daddy” Jessa yells

“We better get down there” Liena laughs

Spike yells “Down in a sec pet” He gets up and pulls on his shirt.

“Here” Liena says handing him Liam. “Take him. I’m going to go take a shower.” She kisses him. “love you” she says

“Same pet” Spike smiles heading to the door

“Mama” Liam whimpers

“Its OK baby. Daddy wants to play with you and your sister.” Liena says

“Dadda” he says burrowing into Spike’s shoulder sticking his thumb in his mouth

Spike goes downstairs with Liam and joins Xander and Jessa. “Hey Harris thanks for taking Jess to the park.”

“Hey we had fun. Right Jess?” Xander asks the toddler

“Yeah Daddy ‘ander and me had fun.” Jessa says hugging Xander’s legs

“What did you do?” Spike asks

“Played on the swings. ‘ander pushed me real high. I went down the slide. Can I go watch Aladdin?” she asks

“Sure” Spike answers

“Daddy can ‘ander stay and watch the movie?”

“If Xander wants to.” Spike says

“ ‘ander watch Aladdin with me?” Jess asks

“Sorry midget I can’t I have to go to work. Maybe next time I can stay” Xander says

“OK. Promise?”

“I promise” replies Xander. “I’ll see you later”

“Thanks Harris”

“Welcome Spike.” Xander replies as he opens the front door.

“Movie” Jessa reminds tugging on Spike’s hand. “Want to watch Aladdin” she demands her voice rising

Liam takes his thumb out of his mouth and whimpers “Dadda” he rubs his ear

“Jessa your brother doesn’t feel well. We need to keep quiet.” Spike tells the toddler

“OK” she answers tugging on his hand “Come on Daddy.” Spike and the two kids head into the living room and turns on the movie.

A little while later Liena comes down the stairs to find them watching the movie. “Spike I’m done.” she calls smiling at the sight

“ ‘kay pet.” He stands walking towards her he hands her the baby. “I’ll go shower.”

“Mama” whimpers Liam

“He’s been rubbing his ear.” Spike explains

As she shifts Liam to her other hip he starts to cry louder rubbing his ear. “I know baby. Your not liking this.”

“Was Jessa this bad when she had an ear ache?” Spike asks curiously

Liena chuckles “She was terrible. I swear between her ear aches and teething I never heard a baby cry so much. He must have a high pain tolerance.”

“I’ll be out in a few.” Spike tells her kissing her

“Not a problem. Can you bring down the baby tylenol? Its on the counter”

“Yes luv.” Spike answers heading upstairs. Liena checks on Jessa. Then heads into the kitchen with Liam. Spike enters the kitchen “Here” he hands her the bottle

“Thanks. Can you open it for me?” she asks. After he does she says “Thanks now go shower. I want to go talk with Giles before Buffy’s finishes her last class.” Spike kisses the crying baby and heads upstairs. Liena measures out the aspirin. “Here baby” she says holding the syringe up to his lips. “I know you hurt baby. This will make you feel better.” she carefully gives it to him. “Shh baby” she whispers rubbing his back. The crying baby cuddles closer.

“Mama?” questions Jessa

Liena smiles “What baby?”

“Why is Liam crying?” she asks

“He isn’t feeling well. Remember when your ears would hurt?”

Jessa frowns thoughtfully then nods “Yeah. Did I cry a lot Mama?”

“Yeah baby you did” Liena smiles

“Oh. OK” Jessa says leaving

Liena picks up the cordless and sits down with the baby on her lap whimpering. “Shh baby. I need to talk to Adam.” with one hand she dials the phone. “Lets just hope he’s in”

“Hello?”

“Hey Old Man” Liena greets

“I’ve been waiting for you to call” Methos chuckles

“I know I got distracted. So is it true?” she asks hopefully

“I translated it twice myself. I had Amanda and Duncan check it. Its true. That spell will bind his soul without the clause.”

“Are you 100% sure?” Liena asks excitedly jostling the baby. Liam starts to cry. “Sorry little man” she apologizes

“I’m sure.” Methos promises. “What’s wrong with Liam?”

“Ear ache.” she replies

Spike enters the kitchen finding Liena on the phone. Heading to the fridge he takes out a container of blood. Pouring some in a mug he microwaves it half listening to the conversation.

“I know Adam. Will you stop lecturing me.” she groans “I’m a big girl I know what to do for a baby with an ear ache. I remember all that I went through with Jessa and when I worked with you. No I haven’t told Angel about the spell. I haven’t gotten around to it. I wanted to talk with you and Giles first. Uh hello Old Man I didn’t want to mention it to either of them until I was able to make sure that nothing could go wrong. Angel is broody enough we don’t need to make it worse by getting his hopes up. Let alone Buffy’s.” she looks at Spike and rolls her eyes. “Yes I promise that I’ll let you know what happens. Yes I’ll kiss the kids for you. Love you too Old Man” she hangs up. She looks at Spike leaning against the counter and smiles. “what is with you and those clothes?”

“What?” Spike inquiries looking down at his clothes. “What’s wrong with them?”

“Nothing.” she replies “I was just wondering. You must be the only guy I know who wears the same clothes everyday.” Standing inches away from him she runs her tongue across his bottom lip

“So what do you want me to wear?” he asks with a grin

“I like whatever you do or do not wear.” she grins “I’m glad you don’t wear plaids, neon, or bell bottoms.”

Spike sucks on her bottom lip. “Hmm I like what you don’t wear either.”

Liena pulls away “Spike I need to go see Giles.”

“Stay” he demands

She shakes her head “I’ve got to go do this now.” she kisses him. “Call me if you need me.”

“I need you now” he growls

“Sorry.” she apologizes “I got to get going.” she kisses Liam handing him to Spike. “I gave him some aspirin. He should be OK for a while. He might need a diaper change soon. Both of them need lunch I’ll try to be back in time. If I’m not just make Jess a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Give Liam a bottle and some rice cereal.” She kisses Spike “Oh yeah don’t let Jessa sit in front of the TV all day.” she grabs the book off the counter. “Bye Jess” she calls

“Bye Mama” Jessa replies

“Pet can you stop by Willie’s?” Spike requests

“Sure. Call Willie and tell him what you want and I’ll pick it up.” She kisses Liam’s head. “Bye little man.”

“Mama no” Liam cries. “No go Mama”

Spike rubs Liam’s back “Mama will be back little man”

“tay” mumbles Liam

Liena goes to the garage “Back later” she says getting into the car. Spike closes the door before Liena opens the garage door.

“Dada?” asks Liam looking at Spike his identical blue eyes wide. “Mama?”

“Let’s go watch the movie. Mama will be back later.”

Liena knocks on Giles front door. “Coming” he calls. The door opens and Liena sees a frazzled Watcher. “Liena. Hello” he greets motioning her to enter. “Where are the kids?”

“Spike is watching them. I wanted to talk with you before Buffy gets out of class.”

“About what may I ask?”

Liena hands him the book. “A friend of Adam’s got this from Jenny Calendar before she died.”

Giles looks at her stunned “Jenny?”

“Yes. Jenny sent it to him.” She hands him the letter. She watches as Giles reads it

Sitting down Giles rubs his forehead in concentration “So Jenny sent this book to this Professor Joseph Tajero?”

“Yes. I called Methos he told me that not only did he read over the spell but so did Amanda and Duncan. Both of them say its legit.”

“Have you read it?”

“No I haven’t been able to” she admits sitting down

Giles nods “Have you told Angel?”

“No. I wanted to check with you first. Get your opinion before I did”

Giles nods and puts on his glasses and slowly he reads over the spell. “According to this spell Angel would have his soul without the clause. This could actually work. We need four witches though” he removes his glasses thoughtfully. “We have Willow. Where would we find the other three?”

Liena grins “I know just the three. I’ll call them.” she takes out her cell phone

“OK. I’ll call Angel and see if he can come down here tonight.” He heads to the phone and pauses “Should we tell Buffy about the spell?”

“No. I think that is up to Angel.” Liena answers dialing the familiar number of the Halliwell House. “Phoebe, Piper, Prue its Liena. I need to talk to you. I need you to come to Sunnydale as soon as possible. Call me” she hangs up

“Yes Angel it is very important that you return to Sunnydale. No Buffy isn’t in danger. Actually she doesn’t know I have called you. See you later then.” He hangs up

“Angel’s in?”

“Yes. What of your friends?”

“I left a message. I’ll call Piper at work.” She dials P3’s number. “You should call Willow.” she suggests

Giles nods dialing the dorm number.

“P3 this is Piper. How may I help you?”

“Hey Piper its Liena.”

“Liena good to hear from you. How can I help you?”

“I need you three to come to Sunnydale.”

“Why? Is there a demon you need banished?” she asks worried

“No Piper. Its about a spell. We need your help to cast it.”

“What kind of spell?”

“To bind Angel’s soul without the clause. The thing is we need 4 witches. We have Willow and we need your help.”

“When?” she asks

“Is it possible for you to come to Sunnydale tonight?” Liena asks

“Uh I’m not sure. I’ll have to check with Phoebe and Prue.”

“Piper I need to know as soon as possible. Get a hold of them and see what they have to say. If you can then I’ll make the arrangements to get you out here.”

“OK. I’ll check with the others and call you back.” Piper promises. After saying good-bye they hang up. “Did you get a hold of Willow?”

“Yes. She’ll be by in a little while. I told her not to tell Buffy.” Giles answers. The two sit and discuss the spell. About half an hour later Willow knocks on the door and enters.

“Hey Giles.” she greets “Hi Liena”

“Willow have a seat” Liena tells her. Willow sits and Giles hands her the book.

“What is this?”

“Its a spell to bind Angel’s soul.” Giles tells her

“Without the clause” Liena adds

Willow grins “Have you told them?” she asks happily

“No. Giles called Angel. We didn’t tell him anything about the spell. Thought it would be for the best to tell him in person.”

“And Buffy?”

“That’s up to Angel.” Liena answers

“Willow we need four witches. Liena called in a favor for three. We thought you would like to be involved after all you did the first.”

“YES” Willow says excitedly

Liena smiles “Thank you Willow. Giles why don’t you fill Willow in. I’ve got to get back before Spike is driven nuts by the midgets.”

“How are they?” Willow asks

“Liam has an ear ache and Jessa spent the morning at the park with Xander.” she stands “I’ll call you as soon as I get an answer. And Willow keep this from Buffy.”

Willow nods “I will. Tell Spike I said Hi.”

Liena nods. “Giles we need to do this without Buffy finding out.”

“I know. I’ll come up with something.” he tells her.

“OK. Bye” Liena says leaving the apartment

Liena pulls the car into the garage and pushes the garage door button. She goes into the house to find Spike sprawled on the floor beside Jessa both of them coloring. Liena grins at the sight shaking her head she walks over to them.

“How’d it go pet?” Spike asks not looking up.

“Good. It turns out that they need 4 W.I.T.C.H.E.S. So I called in a favor to three and we talked with Willow.” She tells him sitting on his back

“So is Red going to do it?”

“Yes. She says Hi by the way”

“Stop it Liam.” Jessa snaps.

Liena looks to see the baby grabbing at Jessa’s crayon. “Jess he just wants attention”

“But Mama I’m coloring” Jessa protests. Liam grabs at the paper giggling. “Mine Liam not yours. Mama make him stop” Jessa cries.

Liena kisses Spike’s neck and stands. “Little man your sister is getting annoyed.” she laughs picking up the wiggling infant she sits on the edge of the coffee table and stands the baby between her legs holding his hands. “So what did you guys do?”

“Colored Mama. Daddy read us a story.”

“Dadda” Liam insists standing on his pudgy wobbly legs holding Liena’s hand tight. “Dadda me.” he demands.

“Will did you give them lunch?”

“Not yet luv.” Spike admits

Liena stands keeping a grip on Liam she says “Come on little man lets go make lunch” Slowly she leads the unsteady infant into the kitchen. “Hey soon you’ll be walking by yourself” Liena remarks picking Liam up she places him in the high chair as she does she senses Spike in the doorway watching her. Walking to the cupboard she asks “What Spike?”

“Nothing” he replies walking up behind her he kisses her neck he lightly grazes her neck with his fangs. Knowing that Jessa is in the other room he nuzzles her neck. “Smell so good.” he growls holding her tight against him

“Thanks” she whimpers arching against him. The phone then rings “Later. I need to get that.” she says turning around she kisses him then pulls away. “Can you make Jessa a sandwich?” she asks picking up the phone

“sure” Spike replies

“Hello?” Liena greets

“Liena its Phoebe”

“Hey Phoebe” Liena replies as she grabs the rice mix for Liam.

“We talked about it and we can come down.”

“all right. I’ll call a friend and see if he can fly you down. I’ll call you back as soon as I talk with him.”

“OK. Talk with you later Sweetie” Phoebe replies hanging up

Liena hangs up and turns her attention to feeding Liam. Spike calls Jessa in to the kitchen. As Liena is feeding Liam she dials a number. “Jess wash your hands”

“ ‘kay Mama.”

“Its me. Yeah I need you to fly three friends of mine to Sunnydale. Yeah they live there. I need them to be here tonight. OK you’ll fly out at 5. Their names are Phoebe, Piper, and Prue Halliwell. Yeah I’ll pick ‘em up. Thanks. Bye.”

Spike kisses Liena’s neck. “I’m going out for a smoke luv.”

“Jess is going down for an NAP. I’ll be upstairs trying to get him down.” Liena nods at the baby

Spike grunts and goes out to the garage. Jessa returns to the kitchen and takes a seat at the table and begins to eat her sandwich. Liena picks up the phone and dials the Halliwell number. “Prue its Liena” she listens for a moment. “Yes he’s taking off at 5 PM. His names Mike he’ll meet you at gate 10. Thanks Prue I owe you big time. See you later.”

“Mama is Phoebe coming here?” Jessa asks looking up from her sandwich

“Yes baby.” Liena answers taking the infant out of his high chair. “Jess are you done?”

“Yes Mama. All done.” Jessa announces getting out of her chair

“OK sweetie its naptime” Liena tells her

Jessa pouts “Not sleepy”

“I know but you need to sleep your growing.”

Jessa sighs regretfully “All right” she marches up the stairs with Liena following with Liam. Liena kisses the toddler’s forehead.

“Have a good nap baby.”

“Kay Mama. Bye Liam.”

Liam waves “bye bye”

“No coming out until your clock says 2 3 0. That is in an hour and a half.”

“Kay” Jessa replies yawning

Liena closes the bedroom door and takes the baby back downstairs to the kitchen. “You want your baba?”

Liam nods “Baba Mama” he demands

Liena chuckles as she takes a bottle out of the fridge. She puts it in the microwave heating it up. “well little man tomorrow night everything will be different. Something tells me that we won’t see your grandfather for a while or Buffy for that matter.” She takes carries the baby and bottle into the living room. Laying on the couch she gives Liam the bottle cuddling him close. The baby grabs the bottle and eagerly drinks. Liam stares at his mother with his big blue eyes unwavering.

Spike comes into the living room. “Jess sleeping?”

Liena nods moving so Spike can sit. She leans back her head on his shoulder. Spike wraps his arms around her linking their hands under the baby. “What’s wrong Spike?”

“Nothing luv” he denies nuzzling her neck.

Liena then remembers “Damn I forgot to go to Willie’s. I’m sorry.”

“Spike you must be hungry”

“I’m fine” he lies

Liena bares her neck “Here”

“Pet” he protests

“Spike your hungry because I forgot. Its OK” Spike unsure nuzzles her neck. Liena whimpers at the feeling of his ridges against her neck. “Spike I don’t mind” she says breathlessly

Spike growls low and he rubs his hand against her abdomen causing Liena to whimper. He slowly sinks his fangs into her neck causing Liena to arch and whimper. He slowly moves his hand down her abdomen slipping his hand into her pants.

At the feeling of the Spike’s cool hand going to the hottest part of her body. She shifts the baby closer and as Spike’s fingers touch her gently she arches into his hand “Spike please” she whimpers

Spike knowing its time to stop feeding retracts his fangs and licks at the wounds his fingers rubbing against her harder. “Come for me Kat” he growls into her ear

Hearing him growl she muffles her cries in his neck he body shuddering in pleasure. Kissing his neck she chuckles.

“What pet?”

“He slept through that.” she tells him looking down at the baby

Spike chuckles as he removes his hand from her pants causing Liena to whimper at the loss. He chuckles bringing his hand to his lips he licks them. “Pet I love your taste.” he says kissing her

Liena gasps at the taste of her blood and juices on his lips. Pulling away she looks at the sleeping baby. “He’s out like a light.” she tells Spike. “You should go sleep too”

“I know. I am tired.” Spike admits

Liena stands “I know. Why don’t you go sleep? I’ll make some hot chocolate later.”

“Sure” he stands following Liena up the stairs. Liena takes the baby into the nursery and puts him down. She finds Spike sprawled fast asleep on the bed still wearing his shoes. Shaking her head at the sight Liena carefully removes the vampire’s shoes and pulls the blankets up.

She sits on the bed next to his head she reaches for the phone. She dials Giles’ number. “Hi hows it going?” she asks quietly

“There is a small flaw” Giles admits regretfully

“What? Adam didn’t mention any problems” Liena growls low in response Spike shifts next to her. Liena gently strokes the vampires head gently calming him into sleep.

Giles stammers nervously “Actually the problem is that Angelus has to be broke to the forefront for a while.”

Liena sighs “Well that is not good. How long is a while?”

“It doesn’t say how long. The problem is that Angelus is manipulative and cunning. I’m not sure if your friends could handle him.”

“I’m sure that they could. But Spike and I will come anyway just to keep Angelus in check.”

“Are you sure?” Giles stammers

“Yeah I have a few things I want to say to Angelus. Spike probably does too. What about Buffy?”

“Um I asked Faith, Xander, and Riley to keep her occupied and away from the mansion.”

“OK I’m supposed to pick Phoebe, Piper and Prue up at 8. We’ll be there by 8:30. Will everything be ready?”

“How do we know Angel will agree with this?”

“He will. I know he’s going to take some convincing with the allowing Angelus free. But I swear if I have too I’ll knock Angel out so we can do this.” Liena says with determination. “I’ll call Joyce and see if she can watch Jess and Liam tonight. We’ll be there.”

“Good bye we’ll see you tonight.” He hangs up.

Chapter 33/?

Spike awakens to find Liena and Jessa sitting on the bed watching cartoons. He watches the two for a moment when Liena turns around and sees he’s awake. “Hello luv” he grins

“Hey” Liena smiles back “Your looking rested”

“Oh I am” Spike moves to put his head in her lap. “So pet is everything ready?”

Liena nods running her hand through her lovers hair smiling as he purrs in contentment. “I talked to Joyce she said that she can watch the kids and maybe stay over.”

“When do your mates come in?”

“We have to pick them up at 8.”

“Why do I have to come?” Spike whines

“Cause I want you too. Plus you get to call Angelus a bunch of nasty names”

Spike sits up “What the bloody wanker isn’t back is he?” he vamps

Liena smiles and shakes her head in response. Touching Spike’s face she continues “He’ll be making a short appearance tonight.”

“What?” Spike growls

“Spike baby face” she reminds

“Sorry” he apologizes his face melting back to its human form. “What did you mean about Angelus?”

Liena takes Spike’s hand as she tells him about what Giles told her.

“Pet I don’t know” Spike hugs her “You never met Angelus. You don’t know how manipulative he can be. He’s bloody insane if he gets loose.” he looks at Liena his eyes showing fear “Do you know what could happen?” Liena doesn’t answer allowing Spike to remember all the things that Angelus had done. “If Angelus gets loose he’ll destroy us all even the kids. I’ve seen what Angelus has done to others hell I helped him.” Spike growls angrily.

Liena sensing Spike needs to vent she looks the toddler who is silently watching TV. “Jess sweetie can you go play in your room? Daddy and I need to talk” Jessa pouts in protest and stomps out

Spike doesn’t notice the toddler’s exit as he paces the room angrily muttering to himself. Finally he stops pacing and looks at Liena his eyes full of regret and uncertainty. “Kat I maybe a demon but I have a few morals. Angelus” Spike shakes his head “he never did. He killed, raped, tortured anyone whenever he felt like it. I may have done the same things when I was a fledgling but I learned to control the bloodlust. He never did he got worse as he got older. When he returned a few years ago he almost destroyed the world.”

“Will baby that was Angelus not Angel. Have you ever seen Angel hurt anyone?”

Spike shakes his head. “No but your bringing Angelus back.”

Liena takes his face in her hands “Will if this is the only way to keep Angel here rather than worrying that he’ll emerge at anytime then it has to be done. I think now is the best time for it to happen.” Liena kisses him softly “Will it’ll be OK. He’ll only be around for a little while then we will never have to worry about him again.” she hugs him “I love you Will. It’ll be OK. Everyone will be safe Angelus won’t hurt anyone.” Liena looks at Spike touching his face

Spike nods his eyes still showing some doubt and fear “I love you Kat” he whispers kissing her.

“Jessa come put your shoes on” Liena calls from the living room. Not getting an answer she looks at Spike playing with Liam on the floor. “Will can you go get Jess and get her shoes on?” she asks

Spike stands “Sure pet” he answers heading upstairs. Liena changes the baby’s diaper as Spike and Jessa walk down the stairs. “Pet where are Jessa’s shoes?” Spike asks

“By the door” Liena smiles and picks up the infant

“Mama why are we going to Buffy’s mommy?”

Spike answers “Mama and I have something that we need to take care of luv. Joyce agreed to watch you two for the night.” he helps the toddler tie her shoes

“Who’s gonna make my hot chocolate?” Jessa asks with a frown

Spike stands with the toddler in his arms “I bet if you ask Buffy’s mum nicely she’ll make you some” he chuckles

“She gets that from you” Liena grins watching the father and daughter

“Have everything pet?” Spike asks

Liena nods “Yes. You gonna drive?”

Spike nods “Of course luv.”

“we aren’t taking your car” Liena protests

“What’s wrong with my car?” Spike demands

“Its a death trap baby” Liena smirks

“Is not” he denies

“Will I have no problem if its just us taking your car.” They head to the garage and get into the SUV.

“What do you have against my baby?” he whines

“Maybe its because you drive it too fast. It smells like smoke and liquor.”

They reach Joyce’s house and drop the kids off. They drive to the airport to wait for the flight. Getting out of the car Liena sits on the hood of the car as Spike smokes. “Pet the planes coming” Spike nods as a plane descends

“Will be on your best behavior” Liena says sternly

“Aren’t I always Kat?” he smiles

“I’m serious Mr. These three are witches and very powerful. And I don’t want you or them to get hurt.” Liena says squeezing his hand

Spike groans in annoyance as he puts out his cigarette “I promise to be good”

“If you aren’t you’ll be sleeping on the couch for a while” Liena threatens

Spike looks at her his eyes wide “Not that?! Anything but that luv” he chuckles kissing her gently

Liena wraps her arms around his neck and deepens the kiss. “If your good you’ll have nothing to worry about.” she grins

“Ahh hmm” a voice interrupts

“Bloody hell” Spike growls in annoyance

“Behave” Liena reminds as she notices her friends standing behind Spike. She notices that they are grinning at her. “Wipe those grins off your faces” she orders

“Good to see you” Phoebe says excitedly as they hug

“Looking good” Prue observes hugging Liena

“Hey Piper how’s Leo?” Liena asks hugging the last Halliwell Sister

“Good he says hi.” Piper replies

“And who is this?” Phoebe asks scanning Spike

“Spike this is Phoebe, Piper, and Prue.”

“Nice to meet you” Spike greets nicely

“So Liena how is life” Phoebe asks with a grin

“Good. Jess can’t wait to see you.” Liena states

“How’s Liam?” asks Prue

“He’s learning to walk”

“He’s also learning how to fall” Spike adds with a grin

“Is he talking yet?” inquires Piper

“He says a few words but he’s getting to be pretty good” Liena says proudly as they get in the car. “mostly he says Dada, Mama, Baba. He’s working on others.”

“Yeah and I want to teach him to call him Peaches but Kat won’t let me”

“Spike you teach Liam to call Angel Peaches and we will be calling you the former vampire known as Spike.”

“So Spike how’s life with an implant?” Phoebe asks with a smile

Liena laughs as Spike growls in annoyance “I hate this chip. If I could I would rip the throats out the bloody wanker who put it in me” He growls in pain grasping his forehead

Liena grabs the wheel “Spike I told you no having threatening thoughts when your driving”

“Sorry luv” Spike apologizes with a puppy dog grin

Liena turns to look at the sisters who are grinning “Sorry bout that.” They chat as Spike drives to the mansion

“We’re here pet” Spike announces

“wow freaky place” Phoebe observes

“Uh more than freaky” Prue adds

“wait this is the place from my vision” Phoebe recalls

“Uh yeah. We need a secluded place and this was the only one” Liena tells them as they head into the courtyard. At the sight of Acathala Liena winces at the power radiating from the statue.

“Acathala” Phoebe breathes

Spike nods “yeah that’s Acathala”

“Why don’t you just destroy it?” Prue asks

Liena shrugs “Ask Giles.” they enter the mansion to find Willow, Angel, and Giles waiting “Hey” she greets

“Peaches” Spike growls

Liena introduces the sisters to Giles and Willow.

“So what’s the spell?” asks Phoebe joining Giles and Willow

“The incantions will bring out Angelus for a while and then it will be pushed deep inside.”

“Will he ever be able to resurface?” asks Prue

“According to this the only way that Angelus will ever resurface is if Angel allows him too.”

“Like thats ever gonna happen” Angel growls

“It says here that you might be able to bring Angelus under control and bring him out when needed.” Willow tells him

“If he’s going into hiding he’s staying in hiding” Angel says with conviction

“So shall we begin?” Giles questions nervously.

“You better tie Peaches up you know how pissed Angelus is gonna be” Spike remarks

“He has a point no offense Angel” Willow says nervously

“None taken” Angel smiles at the witch

“Hey Peaches are Dru’s chains still here?” Spike asks

“Check her room” Angel tells him

“I am not going to ask” Phoebe says

Spike and Liena head into Dru’s room for the chains they return to chain Angel up. “Nice and tight Peaches?” Spike asks with a smirk

“Shut up Spike” Angel growls. He smiles faintly at his daughter “Liena thanks”

“Hey your my dad.”

Spike and Liena join Giles and watch as the four witches work

They watch as Angel begins to shake violently. Liena begins to feel the pain her father is in. Spike squeezes her hand in comfort holding her close. “Will I can feel him surfacing”

“I know luv I can feel it too” Spike kisses her temple

“Bring the demon forth

Allow the demon to show himself”

Liena watches as the humanity of her father is forced out and the evil returns. “He’s here” she tells them. Spike tightens his hold on her to reassure both of them.

The others watch warily as Angelus becomes alert. “Ahh Rupert good to see you again. Its been awhile. Hello Red” he greets with a leer. “Looking good” his eyes travel over the witches “Aww the Halliwell Sisters. Angel finds you three intriguing.” he sniffs the air “You have power I can smell it. You’d be great vampires. Don’t you think Spike?” he asks with a growl

“Shut up Peaches” Spike growls

“Oh and Liena so nice to meet you. You are gorgeous...I can see why Spike can’t get enough of you.” Spike growls “So Liena no kiss for dear old Dad?” Angelus asks mockingly

“Not in this lifetime.” Liena answers “You aren’t my dad. Angel is you just inhabit his body.”

“Oh you wound me. So Spike tell is she a good fuck?” Spike growls “Oh come on Spike there was a time we shared everything...She looks like she is.” Angelus smirks “I wonder what her kids will be like when their older? Will he take after you Spike?” Angelus closes his eyes “And the girl? I wonder will she be like Buffy and Faith? An easy lay? I guess I’ll have to wait” he sighs then brightens up “Maybe not children are always the best.”

Spike growls going into vamp mode. “Son of a...” he starts to move towards Angelus

“Spike no” Liena growls stopping him she turns him to face her. “Your giving him what he wants.” Spike tries to pull away put Liena keeps a tight grasp on his arm. “Will please keep in check” Spike looks at her his eyes filled with anger. Seeing he needs to be calmed Liena kisses him hard “Please?” she whispers. Spike nods hugging her “Thank you”

“Oh how touching” Angelus mocks

Spike stares at Angelus as he speaks his voice full of anger. “You know what Angelus I think that the whole reason you’ve killed? Love. No one loves you as Angelus they like and love Angel. I think your jealous that Angel loves the Slayer and she doesn’t love you. You fear love so you destroy it for everyone else.”

“Its time” Willow announces

“So long Angelus I’d say that I’d miss you but I won’t.” Spike smirks kissing Liena’s temple as they watch the witches continue the spell.

They watch hopefully as Angel’s body convulses accepting the soul back into his body. They await to see the light appear in Angel’s eyes. “He’s back” Liena smiles

“Good. I can stand brood boy more than kill boy” Spike mutters

“What happened?” Angel asks groggily

“Oh nothing much. Angelus appeared dissed your kid and grandkids. Threatened both.” Spike answers

“Oh” Angel says looking guiltily at the floor

“Hey Angel buck up man” Phoebe says cheerfully “We all know you didn’t mean it”

“She’s right Angel” Giles agrees

“sorry” Angel apologizes

Liena shakes her head as she goes over to the chained vampire “Hey no need to apologize. And if you are gonna brood we’ll just leave you here” Liena threatens

“She’s right Peaches. Stop brooding think of it this way...at least you can go shag the Slayer” Spike smirks

“OK Spike I get the point.” Angel says as they undo the chains. The dark haired vampire stands “Thank you for everything” he grins racing out of the mansion

“Something tells me you won’t be seeing Angel for a while” Phoebe states

“Yeah you might want Faith to take over for a while” Spike laughs

“So anyone up for late night pizza?” Liena asks

Buffy, Faith, Xander, Riley and Oz are out patrolling. “So Oz where’s Willow?” Buffy asks

Oz shrugs “Dunno”

“I think she said something about studying” Xander remarks

“Does the Witch ever not study?” asks Faith with a grin

Buffy looks around sensing Angel nearby she smiles happily when she sees the dark haired vampire approaching. Going over to him she throws her arms around his neck “What are you doing here?” she demands

“hmm I thought I’d get a better greeting than that” he smiles

Buffy giggles “Sorry” she kisses him “now why are you here?” she asks again

“Yeah Deadboy why are you here?” Xander whines

“Hey how many times have I told you not to call him that” Buffy glares

“Can you guys finish patrolling?” Angel requests

“Sure Soulboy go have fun” Faith waves

“But not too much” Xander retorts

Angel laughs “Xander that’s not a worry anymore”

Buffy looks at him confused “Huh?”

“I think he means no more clause B.” Faith explains with a smirk

Buffy stares at him shocked “say what?!”

“They found a spell that buried Angelus deep inside allowing me control.” Angel explains

“Come on guys lets leave those two alone” Faith suggests

“But but” stammers Xander

Faith groans in annoyance “Riley grab him before he passes out”

Riley nods “Come on Harris let’s go.” he starts pushing Xander. “Congrats Angel” he says sincerely

“Thanks Riley” Angel nods

“See you later” Oz says

“not for a long while” Faith laughs as they walk away leaving the slayer staring at the vampire

“So baby what do you say?” he asks

Buffy smiles and jumps into his arms staring into his eyes she answers with mischeavious tone “I say we have a lot of time to catch up for.” she kisses him

Angel holds her tight as they kiss. “That we do baby.” The two walk out of the cemetary hand in hand.

Spike drops Liena and the Halliwell’s off at the house. “I’m goin’ to Willie’s first then to Mum’s.”

Liena nods “Be good” she kisses him getting out of the car she joins her friends on the stoop. She unlocks the front door and then turns around as she hears Spike peel out of the driveway. “He better not drive like that with the kids in the car” she mutters

Phoebe drops her bag on the floor in the entryway. She looks around “Nice place” she comments awed

“Thanks”

“Uh Liena who’s Mum?” Piper asks confused

She grins “Mum is what Spike calls Buffy’s mom”

“Uh why?” asks Prue

“Dunno” Liena shrugs

“So Liena you never told us how you met Spike” Phoebe wonders

Liena leads them into the living room after sitting she talks “Well we met in Prague. I was kinda drunk and for some god forsaken reason I saved his and Dru’s lives. Spike was living here when Luca and I came.”

“Liam looks just like him” Prue states

Liena smiles at the mention of her son “They have the same eyes.”

“Didn’t Angel sire Dru?” Phoebe questions

Liena nods “Spike too.”

Phoebe frowns thoughtfully “Doesn’t that make Spike your relative?”

“Sorta” Liena admits “In the vampire circle he would be. We aren’t genetically related just related by circumstances.”

“Who’s older?” Prue asks

“Uh technically me. Physically he lived longer into his early 20s I think”

The front door opens and in walk Faith, Riley, Oz, Xander, and Willow. “Hey heard you have pizza” Xander greets

“nah changed my mind” Liena replies

“I’m hungry” Xander whines

“Your always hungry” retorts Willow

Liena rolls her eyes at Piper, Prue, and Phoebe. “That’s Xander the human garbage disposal. Oz, Faith, and Riley. Guys these are my friends Phoebe, Piper and Prue. Xander go raid the fridge.”

“Goody” he exclaims racing into the kitchen with Faith following

“Nice to meet you” Prue says

“Liena where’s Deadboy Jr?” Xander calls

“He’s picking up Jess and Liam”

“Deadboy Jr.?” asks Piper

“Yeah Xan-man calls Soulboy Deadboy so Blondie is Deadboy Jr.” Faith explains “Xan bring out the Oreos”

“And some Cokes” Riley adds

“Chips” Willow requests

“Willow how long have you been a Wiccan?” Phoebe asks

“Since high school.”

“It helped saving our asses” Xander says entering the room

“Your ass” Oz retorts

“Hey” protests Xander putting the tray down

“He’s right” Willow remarks “Most the time we’ve had to save your ass”

“From his relationships” Oz grins

“His relationships?” asks Phoebe

“Xander has the habit of falling for women who try to kill him” Willow answers

“Do not” he denies

“Liar” Faith laughs

Seeing the confused look on the witches faces Willow explains “Xander has bad taste in women. He’s fallen for a sub who turned out to be a praying mantis. A resurected mummy who needed a virgin male.”

“Don’t forget the Prom Queen” reminds Faith

“Cordelia. Then the time he asked Amy the witch to do a love spell causing all the women in Sunnydale to be after him.” Willow laughs

“That’s bad” Phoebe says with a grin

“It gets worse” Oz says as the front door opens and Spike enters carrying the two kids.

“Hey Spike” Liena greets standing she takes the alert infant from him

“I’ll take Jess up to bed” he says carrying the toddler

“Hey little man” she greets kissing him

“Mama” he sighs cuddling close

“See Piper you aren’t the only one with relationship problems” Prue laughs

“PRUE” Piper groans “Avoid my love life please”

“what about Willow” Xander reminds

“Oh yeah the computer demon” Oz muses

“I have repressed that experience thank you” Willow shudders

Faith grins “What about when Xander was hit on by Drusilla”

“What?!” Spike growls walking down the stairs “You better not have touched my Dru”

Xander holds his hands up in surrender “Uh hello she scares me. Besides it was during that love spell. I was running from the horde that was trying to kill me”

“You ever touch Dru I’ll gut you” Spike growls

“Uh Liena your boyfriend’s threatening me” Xander whines

Everyone laughs “Spike no threatening Xander” Liena admonishes with a grin. They chat and eat until mid night. The next day the Halliwell sisters return home.
