The only ones that I own are Laney, Diane, and Dana or any other characters I may creat along the way, all other characters belong to Fox Family! "Hey Jules." I smiled as I sat down next to her during lunch. "Hey Lane." "Was I really that loud last night?"I questioned. "You weren't all that loud but you woke me up so..I guess they might have heard you."I sighed as I sat back and pulled out my pen and paper. "What's that for?" "Some assignment that Peter gave me, a 500 word essay on my fears... it's like impossible to write that much." I looked down at my paper and knew that I had a long day of writing ahead of me, I haven't even begun this stupid essay. "Jules I'll see you later but I need to go and concentrate on this essay." "By Laney. I'll talk to you later." "Later." I said as I headed for the dorms. I had to start and complete my stupid essay between chores and Peter's suprise activities. About 35 minutes after I had begun writing my essay I had to stop. My mind was racing through a million things at a time. "Jules?" "Yeah Laney, what is it?" She questioned looking up from her book. "Can we talk... I mean really talk. There's something that I haven't told anybody here yet. But I trust you..." "Sure, sit down." * * * "Laney, you have some mail." Kat said tossing an envelope on my bed. "Thanks." I looked for a return address but it was no where to be found. "That's weird." I whispered as I opened it up. "Oh God..." I whispered closing my eyes as I quickly shoved the papers back into the envelope. "Laney... what did you get?" "Nothing." "But Kat said-" "Look I'd rather not talk about it, ok?" "Alright." Jules said sitting down next to me and hugging me. "I know you've trusted me with a lot already but remember I'll always be here." "Jules, your Mom is here." Peter interjected entering the room. "I don't want to see her Peter." "Well she's waiting in my office so she can spend some time with you. So you really do not have a choice in the matter now do you?" He questioned as Jules sighed and left the dorms. "Hey Laney." "Hey Peter." I looked up from what I was writing. "What are you writing?" "I'm trying to write an essay." "Sorry to tell you this Laney. In the past few minutes I've been here you haven't even wrote a sentence." Peter sat down next to me. "I know..." I set down my notebook and picked up the envelope from off of my bed and ran my fingers along it's edges. "Who's the mail from?" "A friend." "Oh, mind if I look?" He questioned. "Actually it's ummm... kind of personal." my eyes quickly bolted back to the envelope in my hands. "What's your friend's name?" "Lissa, she was my best friend. I mean... why does everything bad have to happen to me Peter, why?!" I exclaimed as a tear fell slowly down my cheek. "I don't know Laney. But everyone here has had their obstacles." "Yeah, well not everyone here has lost their best friend." "Everybody here left someone special behind." I took out the contents of the envelope. I looked at a picture of Lissa nad I from about 6 months back. "Peter, she wasn't left behind. She was killed." I looked over at him with tears in my eyes. "This is a picture of us from six months ago when we went bowling." "You looked a lot different then." He commented. "And I'm really sorry about what happened." "Well everything was different then. When I met her my life changed, I no longer was on the streets all the time and getting into trouble." I looked down. "I was happy. Something I haven't been in a good 5 months." Peter tried to hug me and I pulled away. I had realized I already got close to one person here and that was one too many. "I want you in my office in an hour to read your essay to Sophie and I." "But Peter-" "No buts, be there." He said and then left. "I hate this place! And I swear I'll find a way out!" I screamed to myself and let months of tears flow.
