The Zaku II Commander was piloted by some of the Zeon top pilots early on in the war. Few were ever made. The Zaku II Commander is a bit stronger than a Zaku II. The Zaku II Commander's big advantage is the superior speed to early suits. Ultimately even when Char, an ace pilot, pilots the Zaku II Commander against the Gundam with Amuro Ray, who is a rookie but also a newtype, fails to defeat him.
