The Gundam Alex was a Mobile Suit specifically created for Amuro Ray. This Gundam is a Newtype use Prototype. The Gundam has fairly weak armor. A Zaku FV destroys it with a heat hawk. While it's armor is only a bit above average it had good points. This Gundam has lots of speed and manueverability. The vulcans on the head serve as secondary weapons, a gundam trademark weapon. On the arms are pop-up gatlings. Since gatling usually have ammo shortages it has extended long range combat problems. The Gundam also has beam sabers for close range combat. The Gundam is never seen piloted by a newtype so it's full potential is never reached. Supposely it only reached 30% maximum efficiency.
