Spencer vs Cassidine #13 March 25 - May 27, 1999 - 8 hour original edit This edit contains Luke acknowledging the anniversary of Robert’s death, just as Faison has returns to town and gloats over his lastest devious plot, Luke and Laura’s final scenes with Lucky (as played by Jonathan) as Lucky visits Laura one last time and they have a moving conversation. Then Luke & Lucky have a great conversation as they tell each other how much they admire and love each other. I included all of the of the fire and its heartbreaking aftermath as everyone finds out Lucky has died, as Luke and Laura try to deal with this impossible news, and then his funeral. Laura goes to the boxcar Lucky had lived in and imagines scenes from the future she thinks he will never have. After completely breaking the viewer’s heart with all of the emotional turmoil of his death, Lucky is revealed to be alive and Faison’s captive and he is in cahoots with Helena! I included all of Luke’s scenes, all of Laura’s scenes, all of Faison, also all of Lucky’s scenes during captivity. There was not a lot of Stefan on this edit (he was backburnered in the aftermath of Lucky’s death, so this one is more about the Spencers), not a lot of Nik or Helena. Tony Geary won Best Actor Emmy’s for both 1999 and 2000. Genie was not even nominated for her work for Lucky’s death! The scenes at the morgue alone as they go to identify his body agonizing, and then her complete devastation at the boxcar was simply brillant. Click here to read the full edit description.

Spencer vs Cassidine #14 May 28 - August 10, 1999 - 8 hour original edit This edit contains Laura dealing with the aftermath of Lucky’s death and winds up in the hospital after a breakdown. Stefan takes her to his country estate to relax, she soon returns to work at GH. Faison is in town, doing diamond business with Luke as Heir Kleig. Faison and Helena are also working together, Helena has a stroke and winds up in a catatonic state. Stefan takes her to Wyndemere and enjoys making snarky digs that she is unable to respond to. Luke & Felicia in the search for the truth about the letters Edward wrote Lila. They wind up in the Quartermaine crypt in Oyster Bay, get trapped and Mac finally rescues them. Towards the end of the edit, Luke heads out of town. The last 40 minutes is pure Laura. There is little Nik on this edit (Coltin takes over the role during the #14B time frame). There is a lot of Luke & Felicia, Laura & Stefan, Faison. Note, I did not include all of Faison’s scenes, there is a great confrontation with Mac and Felicia about Robert & Anna’s deaths and his involvement on separate episodes, not included on this edit. Spencer vs Cassidine #15 August 12 - November 5, 1999 - 8 hour edit Faison is on this edit and has some great scenes with both Luke and Laura as they both become aware that Faison is in town and Luke learns that Heir Klieg is really Faison, the man responsible for killing Robert and Anna. Helena has been paralyzed by a poison that Stefan gave her. Faison sneaks in to give her the antidote and bring her back to life. Laura is furious to learn that Kat is pregnant and Nik plans to marry her! Faison wants his diamonds from Luke. Luke and Felicia take off for Mexico, Faison follows them there and Luke gives him cubic zirconas instead. They all return to PC and Faison goes after Luke. Roy returns from the dead just in time to save Luke from Faison. Luke and Roy team up once again (Roy, Luke’s best friend from 1979, is played by A Martinez). Kat taunts both Helena and Laura with her scheming to get Nik to marry her. The day of the wedding a blonde pushes her off the parapet to her death. Stefan confesses to the murder in order to protect Laura, though he believes Helena really murdered her (and finds evidence of a blond wig in the tunnel). Laura goes to North Carolina about 40 minutes into this edit. Luke returns from vacation on September 8th, about an hour into this edit. During the timeframe that L&L are off the show, I did not include all of the Stefan & Nik & Kat, that was mostly drama about Kat trying to manipulate Nik into marrying her. I continued to include every Luke and every Laura scene, though they did not have a lot of scenes together. There is a lot of Luke on this edit, with Felicia, Faison, and Roy. Spencer vs Cassidine #16 November 8, 1999 - January 12, 2000 - 8 hour edit This edit includes every Luke, every Laura scene on this edit, including Laura & Stefan’s storyline, and Luke & Felicia’s storyline. Also included is all of Faison’s scenes as he kidnaps and holds Felicia captive, all of the Faison and Helena consipiring, including them bringing up him keeping Lucky captive. Laura asks Luke for a divorce, L&L’s anniversary, Felicia tells Luke she just wants to be friends, the truth comes out that Nik is really Stavros’ son and Helena changed the paternity results. Faison kidnaps Felicia, Roy and Luke go undercover to find her. Luke tracks her down but when he arrives to rescue her, he is also taken hostage. Thanksgiving, Christmas scenes are included. Nik is included as Alexis tells him about his true paternity and he confronts Stefan and has the paternity test to verify that Stavros is his father but otherwise not a lot of Nik. Spencer vs Cassidine #17 January 12 - March 31, 2000 - 8 hour edit This edit contains one of my favorite storylines, when Faison says those magic words that Lucky is alive! Luke immediately begins trying to find Lucky. Stefan also tracks Lucky by following Helena to Nova Scotia to an isolated cabin and sees Lucky is indeed alive. Felicia insists on joining Luke and they head off in search of Lucky at the Cassidine compound in Greece, and find Stefan there putting together a task force to move something very valuable. Luke assumes he kidnapped Lucky. Luke and Felicia follow the trail to Lybia. Luke refuses to tell Laura until he has proof that Lucky is alive. Alexis bluffs Helena that she knows all of her secrets and Helena retaliates by running down Chloe (thinking she was Alexis). Stefan tells Alexis that Lucky is alive and heads to Nova Scotia to rescue him. Laura tells Luke where Stefan is headed, and Felicia and Luke follow him there, just in time to see Stefan leaving with Lucky. Luke returns to PC and tells Laura that Lucky is indeed alive. Laura immediately believes him and trusts what he has seen. Stefan tells Laura that Lucky is alive but Helena has taken him back. Laura is furious at Stefan and slaps him. Laura whips out the carpetbag, and her and Luke depart to find their son. They first head to NY to Helena’s yacht and find a model of the Haunted Star, then head to Charleston to track it down. This leads to reminiscing of their life together in the early 80‘s during the Haunted Star time. They learn the yacht is now in Madagascar. Helena and Lucky are indeed on the Star, playing chess and asking each other questions. By the time L&L arrive, Helena and Lucky have left but they find a clue that Lucky had indeed been there. They follow the trail to Ice Princess island in Argentina and more reminiscing, Laura isn’t too happy when Felicia arrives to tell them they are walking into a trap (she overheard a conversation Helena had). They all then head follow the clues to Texas, where the Spencers lived when Lucky was born. Lucky realizes the game is to leave clues for his parents to follow.
