I have Emily's first year of storyline on GH from January, 1995 - January, 1996 edited. The first two edits cover her first 10 months. I continued Emily's storyline on the Emily #3 and #4 and added all of her scenes as this was when they went on the run together and this covers the next couple of months. Emily #6 contains the drug storyline. Early Emily #1, Early Emily #2, Early Emily #3, Early Emily #4, Early Emily #5-6, and Emily's Blackmailed Early Emily DVD #1 January 20 -?, 1995 - 4 hours Monica has dinner with Paige and Emily at their apartment in AZ. where Monica and Paige are both receiving treatment for breast cancer. Monica is less than thrilled when Emily tells her about her pet tarantulas. Monica tells Emily about AJ, Jason, and Annabelle. Emily pulls Monica aside and asks her if she thinks Paige (Emily's mom) will die. Alan and Emily meet during one of his visits to her at the clinic. Alan and Monica go to Paige's for dinner. While Em takes Alan up to see her tarantulas, Paige tells Monica that she has found a lump on her rib (if it turns out to be cancerous then this would indicate that the breast cancer had spread and metatisized to the bones which is terminal). When Paige goes in for tests, Emily hangs out with Monica. Em suspects that something is wrong with her mom. Monica tells Emily all about the Foster & Annabelle romance and Edward's objections and the impending motherhood for Annabelle. Monica suggests to Em that maybe she and Paige could fly out to PC for a visit after the puppies are born. Em sadly responds that she wishes that they could make future plans. Paige returns and tells Em that the cancer has returned and spread, that this time chemo and surgery won't help. Em is devastated by the news. Paige tells her they have to fit a lot of love into the next few months. Monica encourages them both to come for a visit and they agree. Monica, Paige, and Em arrive at the Q's and Monica introduces them to the family. Paige seems fain and sits down suddenly. This frightens Em. Jason and AJ realize what a hard time she is having and reach out to her. The next morning, Alan and AJ explain breakfast Q style to Em. She is amazed that she can order anything she wants. Lucky stops by to see Edward and meets Emily. She has heard all about Foster and tells Lucky she would like to meet him. After Em leaves, Edward tells Lucky about Em's mom being terminally ill. Paige isn't feeling well and has to cancel an outing they had planned. Em snuggles with her in bed and Paige tells her about Monica's offer to have her live at the Q's after Paige is gone. Em isn't sure and says she will think about it. While Paige sleeps, Em takes Annabelle for a walk and meets Lois at the gatehouse. Lois invites her to stay for Mary Mae's recording session, which she does. Next day, Sly and Lucky stop by to invite Em to go to Kelly's to meet Foster. The kids have chili. Sly tells Em about the death of both of his parents. Back at the Q's, Em finds the Q's and the Cerillo’s eating in the kitchen. Talk turns to westerns, Edward and Carmine are horrified that Em's idea of a western is Kevin Costner in "Dances with Wolves". Ned brings in his guitar and they sing western songs together. Afterwards, Em tells her mom that she likes it there and she would like to stay with the Q's. She says that she can't imagine life without Paige. Em, seeing how wobbly her mom is, suggests that they remain at the Q's rather than returning to Arizona. Emily insists that they discuss these plans with Monica immediately. Em also doesn't want Paige to have to go back to the hospital, she wants to be able to be with her. When Em asks Monica, she says no that if Paige wishes they can arrange to care for her at the Q's. Emily is feeling down, Lila suggests that since Edward is out for the evening that they invite Lucky and Foster over to see the puppy. Lucky and Foster arrive, they play with the puppy. Foster has a flashback of himself as a puppy (this is so cute!). Em and Lucky decide to name the puppy Raoul. Bobbie stops by with welcome presents for Paige and Em. Alan starts telling stories. Paige experiences extreme pain. Alan and Monica debate taking her to the hospital but realize there is nothing they can do for her. They get her to take her pain med and get her up to bed. Paige is resistant to taking the medication because it makes her feel dopey. Em reads her mom a poem, then goes to bed. Paige tells Monica that there is so much she hasn't shared with Em, so many things she hasn't told her. Paige grieves for all the personal momentos she will never see again and hasn't been able to yet share their family history with Em. Monica arranges to take the Q jet to Arizona and pack up their things. Lois is getting a fitting for her wedding dress and she tells Em all about the yacht they are traveling on to Brooklyn. Alan finds Em sitting rather sadly amongst her things from home. To cheer her, he becomes "Sydney" (the bear) which does comfort her. He is able to draw out her fear and pain over her mom's impending death. She admits to being afraid of being alone after her mom dies. Alan gets choked up and asks for a "bear hug". Em breaks down and cries in his arms. When Em goes to see if Paige is ready to leave for the wedding trip, she finds her mother in a lot of pain. Paige is sorry but she can't make the trip. She talks Em into going with Alan while Monica stays home with Paige. Emily brightens when aboard the ship, she dances with Alan and then Ned. Lois asks her to be in her wedding and Em is thrilled. She calls and tells Pai ge. paige is suffering so much that Monica takes her to the ER. They put her on a morphine drip for the pain and tell Monica that she has between 2-7 days to live. Meanwhile, the yacht runs across some rocks. The ladies in the bridal party are at Lois' parents getting ready while Lois obsesses over all the details. Short clip of Emily walking up the aisle, then Lois, then I cut to Ned & Lois being pronounced married. Their is a clip of Ned and Lois leaving the reception amidst a shower of flower petals. Emily is on the train heading back home. Paige is fading fast and Monica urges her to hold on till Em gets home. When she does, Em is shocked at how weak Paige has gotten in the last couple of days. Because of the morphine, Paige doesn't recognize Emily. She crawls in bed next to her mom and sleeps next to her. The next am, Paige is more alert as Monica has adjusted the morphine drip to give her some clarity. There is a series of very moving scenes as mother and daughter try to say goodbye to each other. Paige passes away quietly. Em continues to sit by her mother's side unwilling to leave her. She shows a strength and a maturity far beyond her years. The final scene on this tape when they remove Paige's body is tragic. Emily is reeling from her mother's death, she doesn't want to leave Paige's room. AJ comes up with an offer for a tennis lesson, Monica invites her to go for a walk with the dogs, she turns them both down. She just lays in her mom's bed. Monica does get her to leave the room after awhile. The next day, Em sits all too quietly reading and again isn't interested in going outside. Monica calls Lucky and tells him about Paige's death and invites him over. Em is happy to see Lucky and Foster. As they play with the puppy, it is obvious how much Em adores Raoul. Edwards asks Lucky outside and suggests they give the puppy to Emily. Lucky points out that this would mean the puppy would live with the Q's (which would mean Edward had technically won the custody battle). Lucky does feel he has bee had but agrees with Edward that it would be right to give Em the puppy. Lucy pops in about the Nurse's Ball and asks Em to play Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz skit. Em refuses. However, Alan agrees to play the cowardly Lion and gets Emily agree to be Dorothy. After Lucy leaves, Lucky tells Em about the gift of the puppy - she is thrilled. Alan and Em talk about the Wizard of Oz, he uses his "Sydney" voice. Monica and Em sit with Paige's ashes and discuss what to do with them, Alan joins them. When Em comments on how much Paige loved the desert, Alan suggests that they go back to Arizona to scatter her ashes there, Em agrees. At the Nurse's Ball, the guests begin to arrive. They are getting ready for the Oz skit. Tony is the scarecrow and Kevin is the tinman. Jason is throwing a picnic at the boathouse and invites Emily. Lucky calls to let her know he is leaving to go camping and asks if he can come by to see Raoul before he goes. She invites him to the picnic. At the picnic (classic scene with all the gang), Miguel, Brenda, Ned, Lois, Robin, Stone...they all start dancing. Emily asks Lucky who makes up an excuse not to, suddenly shy. Ned asks Em to dance and Lois gets Lucky to dance with her then they switch partners.. At the 4th of July picnic, Emily goes with Alan and Monica. At the end of the picnic, Mary Mae sings as fireworks explode in the sky. Emily has her first introduction to a full blown Q arguement and she is visibly upset. Monica takes her out to the patio and tries to explain Q relationships to her. Alan, Monica, and Em return from their Az trip. Emily tells Lila about her farewell to her mother. Later, Edward, Alan, and Monica start arguing over AJ's latest mess with the PC Foundation. Only Lila has the sensitivity to see how much their arguing upsets Em. Ned later talks to Em and explains the Q version of family loyalty. Then Alan tries to reassure her that one day she to will wade into the fray. He points out that Qs stick together and will fight just as ferociously to protect each other. He manages to make the Q fights sound like fun. Monica is surprised to find them laughing together and is hurt that Alan can get through to her when Monica fails to. The next time the Q's break into argument, Alan sits on the sidelines with Em and describes the action like it is a sporting event to diffuse her fear of it. Em tells Ned that he and Alan are her best friends in the house. Monica suggests they go shopping for school clothes, Emily turns her down rather snippy and Monica is hurt. Alan enters and asks Em what is wrong. She asks to talk with "Sydney" and confides that she is bothered that she doesn't get along better with Monica. He explains that a part of her feels disloyal if she loves Monica so she gets angry instead. He thinks she isn't really angry at Monica but at the fact that her mom died. Emily visits Lucky at the Spencer's and he shows her the finished go-cart, except it doesn't have complete breaks which Em points out seems like a rather important component. He is going to test drive it without a helmut which she also thinks is a bad idea! Early Emily 1995 DVD #2 Summer, 1995 - 4 hours Lucky takes off, crashes, hits his head on a rock and is knocked unconscious. Laura calls Luke and tells him to meet them at the hospital. Lucky has evidence of brain trauma so they rush him up for a CAT scan. Tony informs Luke and Laurathere is bruising which is causing pressure on the brain and he needs to operate to relieve it. When Lucky finally wakes up after the surgery, the first thing he says is, "Am I in trouble?" Emily stops by the gatehouse and meets Sonny. He tells her all about the camping trip he took with Luke and Lucky, he is not much into camping. Next, Em goes to Lucky's and meets Luke. Lucky shows her his pierced ear (Luke pierced it during the trip). She tells him about her problems with Monica, and he tells her about his problems with Laura. Monica is recovering from reconstructive surgery, Emily goes to the hospital to visit her. Monica encourages her to open up. Em tells her about the difficulty of being a new kid at school, not knowing anyone and feeling stupid. Monica starts buzzing with ideas about throwing a party, having Em form a study group, till Emily yells at her to stop. She tells her it would just make things worse and that Monica pushes too much. The Q's are celebrating Jason's birthday when Monica surprises them by coming home from the hospital unexpectedly. Alan, Monica, and Em are having breakfast when Stone stops by. He looks great and seems to be feeling well. Alan and Stone plan to give an AIDS talk at the school. One evening, Emily is out on the patio when Bobbie visits Alan. Em overhears them discuss their growing feelings towards each other and is shocked to see Alan kiss Bobbie. At school, Stone talks to kids about AIDS. Afterwards, a jerk calls him a faggot. Stone pretty much puts him in his place. Em and Lucky are in the hall and hear the exchange. They both agree that Stone's situation makes their family problems seem less difficult. Lucky does sense that Em is having a hard time. She tells him that if things don't work out at the Qs that she doesn't have anywhere else to go. Emily stops by Alan's office and interrupts him with Bobbie. Em tells him that things are working out for her with his family. She admits that while she didn't expect too much she didn't think things would be this bad. She finds the Quartermaine's confusing as they don't say what they mean. At breakfast, Em flashes back to Alan kissing Bobbie. Monica comes in and Em questions her about her friendship with Bobbie. When talk turns to Alan's friendship with Bobbie, Em gets upset and suddenly leaves the room leaving Monica puzzled by her reaction. Em stops by the Spencer's but Lucky has already left for school. Laura invites her in for a chat. She tells Laura that she doesn't hang out with Lucky and Sly much at school as they don't feel comfortable hanging out with a girl when they are with their friends (worried that it would seem like romantic interest). Laura assures her they will grow out of that. Em does admit to Laura that she has a crush on Luke, then asks about Bobbie. She shares her confusion over how the Qs relate to each other. Back at the Q's, Monica invites Em to a concert in the park. Em again makes excuses not to go with her. She goes upstairs feeling bad for her continual rudeness to Monica. She picks up her mom's picture and confides in her that she knows Paige would want her to be nicer to Monica and that Em really does try but can't seem to help the way she talks to Monica. She says how unfair it is that Paige has died, that Paige should be there with her. Em admits to her anger over Paige's death. Alan has a conversation with himself as the cowardly lion (in full costume) and with himself as Sydney the bear. He is leaving to meet Bobbie in NY and is feeling guilty. Alan is back at the Q's after the disasterous NY trip. (Bobbie and Alan had decided not to sleep together but unfortunately Monica found them together with Bobbie in her underwear). Monica is furious with Alan and tells him off as the rest of the family gathers to see what is going on - Emily included. Em walks out and heads to Lucky's. They are both feeling suffocated at home. After school, Lucky takes Em to Luke's club. Luke gives her a tour and she seems to be enjoying herself till Bobbie walks in. When Em sees Bobbie, she takes off. Lucky follows her outside and Em tells him about Alan and Bobbie. Em feels that if Alan and Monica don't want each other then how could they want her. She doesn't want to return to the Q's. Lucky talks her into going home and encourages her to talk to Alan. The next day, Lucky comes by to visit. Em tells him that she hasn't yet talked to anyone about her feelings. After he leaves, Monica comes in and apologizes to her for causing such a scene with Alan and hurting Emily. She assures her that they both want Emily in their lives very much and that her and Alan have been through much worse together. Lucky, Luke and Sonny on their camping trip. Lucky gets Luke to pierce his ear which grosses Sonny out. Luke and Lucky return home. Laura is very unhappy to see Lucky's pierced ear. Emily stops by and meets Luke (she later tells Lucky she is in love with his father). Em tells Lucky about the problems she is having with Monica, and he tells her about the problems he is having with Laura. Lucky visits Luke and sells him on the idea of taking shop instead of Algebra, that is till Luke figures out that Laura has already said no to shop. Luke gets upset at Lucky for trying to play Luke against Laura. Lucky is giving Laura attitude about math. Mary Mae overhears, she counsels Lucky to give his parents room to work out their problems. She tells him that if things don't work out at the Q's that she doesn't have anywhere else to go. Lucky continues to give Laura a lot of attitude. She sits him down, tired of him being so angry at her. He tells her that when she acts so calm and rational about the breakup with Luke that it makes him even angrier. He insists she doesn't understand how he feels. Emily arrives before school. Lucky tells her that Foster is the only one he can talk to in his family. Laura listens in as he shares his feelings with Laura. Alan comes up and apologizes to Em for the scene he created with Monica about Bobbie. He tells her he loves Emily very much and tries to get her to open up but she has shut off from him. Emily later confides in Raoul that if Alan moves out she doesn't want to live at the Q's. Lucky asks Laura if he can have dinner at Luke's club. After some questioning, Laura gets him to admit it is a birthday dinner for Ruby. She is somewhat hurt that Luke didn't invite her, she calls Luke expressing her surprise and he does invite (he seems surprised she wants to come). Lucky arrives at the club for the party. He tells Luke that he feels uncomfortable about seeing Bobbie given what he knows about her recent activities with Alan. Everyone gets together to surprise Stone with a memory book, Lucky reads his letter to Stone (this is edited to Lucky). Back at the Q's, Monica again tries to reach to Em. She apologizes to Em and tells her she loves her. Emily blows up saying she can't believe her. Em cuts school, AJ sees her at the boat dock. She is worried that if the family gets that angry with AJ over his mistakes how will they react when she makes a mistake. They talk, he assures her it will be okay, then writes her a note to get back into school. Late at night, Em comes downstairs. She has been having bad dreams and is finding it difficult to sleep. LIla offers to work on the quilt with her to help her relax. Lila asks her to please call her grandmother and Em agrees. One afternoon, Monica discusses the adoption with Emily. Monica tells her that the interview with the case social worker is coming up the following week. Em isn't thilled and asks what about her mother's sister (Corie). Monica says that the last Paige knew her sister was in Boston and that the Q's have tried to find her with no success. Em is on the patio again, this time she overhears Monica tell Ned that she thinks Emily is having second thoughts about the adoption. Monica admits to him that she isn't sure if she wants to resolve her problems with Alan but she does want to remain a family for Emily's sake. Then Em hears them fondly reminisce about their affair, she is truly shocked now! Lucky comes by and she tells him that things just get weirder and weirder at the Q's. She says that she has decided against the adoption and wants to leave. She is worried about becoming a ward of the court. Lucky returns home and overhears Mary Mae offer Laura a job at the foundation. He thinks it is a great idea. Alan and Monica sit down to discuss the adoption with Emily. They start arguing and Emily finally blows up at them and tells them she hates how they treat each other. Edward and AJ enter, they start arguing with Alan and Monica too. Emily screams at them all to stop it. She fumes, "How could anyone want to be part of this family?" and storms out. AJ follows her up to her room. She tells him she doesn't want to be adopted by them. Em calls Lucky from her room and tells them she has told the Q's she doesn't want to be adopted. She asks Lucky for help in finding her aunt and he agrees to help her. He asks Mac for advice on how to find someone who has disappeared. Mac gives him info on how to access public records to try and track her down. Lucky heads over to tell Em that he knows how to start looking for her aunt. They make plans to head to Boston together. Lucky picks up some cash and credit cards from the club, then gets his emergency travel pack from home. He tells Foster that he figures Luke and Laura will team up to follow him (so he plans on his taking off on bringing his parents together). The kids decide to leave on Halloween. Lucky goes over what supplies Emily should pack. Then he calls Sly and tells him that he is taking off with Emily. He won't give Sly any details as he knows the first person his parents will question will be Sly. Lucky and Em dress as hobos and go to Felicia's Halloween party. They make their final departure plans and head to Luke's. Lucky tells Luke he has to head for school early, and will be home late and is concerned that Laura might worry about him. Luke sense that Lucky is up to something but doesn't know what. The kids head to the Q's and make a production out of saying goonight and Emily going to bed. Emily gathers her stuff and sneaks out to meet Lucky. They head to the Spencer's together. Em waits outside, Lucky tells Laura about the party and his leaving early in the am. Instead of going up to bed, he sneaks out and they catch a bus to Boston. Luke wakes early, he is feeling uneasy about Lucky. Laura finds it odd that Lucky has left early to be on a clean up committee and leaves her a note to remind her. Foster barks at Laura as she reads the note as if to tell her that Lucky is up to something. Laura panics when she realizes Lucky's emergency pack is missing. She calls Luke and he heads over, she tells him that Lucky didn't go to school. Early Emily 1995 DVD #3 1995 - 4 hours On the bus, Lucky tells Emily that his parents will expect him to check into a mid priced family hotel so they will instead check into the most expensive hotel as that would be unexpected. The hotel clerk doesn't want to let the kids check in without parental approval but Lucky sweet talks his way in. Luke calls Sly, who tells him that Lucky took off with Em but he doesn't know where they are headed. The kids check into a suite at the hotel and order breakfast from room service. Em wants to know why Lucky is helping her. He explains his plan to bring his parents together. Luke and Laura head to the Q's and tell Monica about the kids running off. Ned walks in and tells them that he recently saw Lucky involved in an intense conversation with Mac. So they head to the Outback and question Mac, who tells them that Lucky was asking questions about finding a friend's aunt in Boston. The kids head to the records department while Luke and Laura head to Boston aboard the ELQ jet. The records line is so huge that Lucky gets Em to fake sick so they can get to the front of the line. Her alias is Elizabeth (its too weird to hear Lucky calling her Elizabeth!). The kids are waiting in an extremely long line at a Boston's records department. (They have run off to Boston to look for Emily's aunt Corie). Lucky gets Emily to fake sick and they get sent to the front of the line. They can't get info though without a social security number for Corie. At the Q's, Alan and Monica stay behind in case Emily calls while Luke and Laura on their way to Boston aboard the ELQ jet. The kids go to another office, again hit red tape. This time they can't access the information due to confidentiality. Emily bursts into tears and puts on a great sympathetic show which convinces the clerk to break the rules and help them. She gives them a forewarding address in Alburqurque, NM. Luke tells Laura that Lucky wanted to alert them, he wanted them to follow him so they would be together. Luke suggests they look at moderately priced family hotels. Laura says no that Lucky knows they would expect that. She says he will follow the Spencer rule to do the unexpected. So they decide to check the most expensive hotel. Lucky has been sure to leave behind a subtle clue so Luke and Laura will be able to follow him to NM. L&L identify themselves as the Forbes (knowing the alias Lucky was using) and they get access and search his room. Luke and Laura are back on the jet heading to NM. Luke seems proud that Lucky is staying two steps ahead of them. Luke and Laura figure Lucky is now doing rule #1, "do the unexpected", which would be to change plans at the lay over in Chicago and take a plane elsewhere to throw them off. However, Lucky realizes that they expect him to do the unexpected, so he does the opposite and the kids remain on the plan to NM. (the scenes of L&L trying to second guess what moves Lucky will make are funny, as is Lucky's guessing what moves L&L will make - they know each other on the run so well). The kids arrive at the NM address but Corie hasn't lived there for 2 years. There is no forewarding address as she left owing money. Emily is really discouraged. Lucky drops a clue with the current resident that they would head to Pasadena. Instead they check out of the motel and camp out. Later that night it begins to storm and the kids take shelter in a cave. Lucky goes back out to get their gear, a rock slide covers the entrance and traps Emily. Lucky tries to get to her and is hit in the head by a falling rock and knocked unconscious. Things aren't bad enough, next a rattlesnake enters the cave and heads towards her. Lucky comes to and works to get into the cave. He hears Emily scream and then go quiet. Inside, Em has taken a big rock and hit the snake in the head, killing it. Lucky hears the noise and works desperately to free her. He gets her out, fortunately the rain has stopped. She is semi-hysterical and Lucky sits with his arm around her, reassuring her. The kids head back to PC, to the empty Spencer house. Emily doesn't know what to do now that they have hit a dead end. She is afraid to go back to the Q's and doesn't really want to. Lucky suggests that they stay at his house til l his parents come home. Emily misses Alan, and says that when she thought she might die in the cave that she regretted not being able to see him or to make up with Monica. Lucky goes to the store for milk. Em turns on the tv and sees a news report that Alan was in a car accident and has been taken to GH. She leaves Lucky a note and heads to the hospital (Alan is okay, he just has a big headache). Em arrives at his room, opens the door to find the Q's once again bickering. She yells, "good grief!" unable to believe they are fighting. Luke and Laura return home, Lucky hides in the basement. He is intent on keeping L&L together searching for him as long as possible. Foster gives away Lucky's location by sitting with his nose pressed intently against the basement door, L&L can't help but notice. They fake a big fight which draws Lucky out. Then they admit to him that things are better between them, Lucky is thrilled! He points out that the timing for them to get back together is perfect as it is their anniversary! Over dinner, Lucky tells them about the cave adventure while Laura winces. Lucky points out that his plan worked as things seem more back to normal. He can see that L&L are closer. Lucky begs them to get back together, he gets tears in his eyes it is so important to him. Thanksgiving Day - first at the Q's. Lucy whirls in looking for Sigmund, her duck. She is horrified when Reginald annouces that the duck for dinner is ready. She leaves in disgust. The Q's just can't stomach eating duck for dinner, too much like eating Lucy's pet. So they order pizza and sing their Thanksgiving song. The Spencer's have turkey with the Jones family. Emily comes down with a cold so they keep her home. Alan and Monica tell her that they love her and ask her if she wants to be adopted. They tell her that she doesn't have to be adopted to live with them. Lucky visits Em and tells her about his parents getting back together. He is so triumphant. She wishes she could do something to get A&M back together. Bobbie stops by to see Monica, Lucky takes off leaving Em alone with Bobbie. Em shocks Bobbie by asking if she is going to be lovers with Alan. Bobbie tells her that nothing happened and that it is over between them. She also tries to explain why they kissed, Emily really doesn't understand the excuses of loneliness, ect. Bobbie emphasizes that it is over and hopes Em can forgive her. Em leaves the room without responding. Robin calls LUke and tells him that Stone has died, Luke tells Lucky. They discuss life after death, Lucky is incredibly wise and mature. Em goes to the gatehouse and has hot chocolate with Ned, Lois, and Jason. The social worker interviews Emily. Cute scene as Alan, Edward, Monica, and Ned all try to listen at the door. Em is realistic and honest with the social worker about how she sees herself fitting into life at the Q's. The social worker is impressed with her. She seems to give her approval for the adoption. After the interview, Em tells A&M that she thinks she should stay with the Q's. Luke tells Laura that Sonny is being investigated under RICO and to protect Luke's Club, Sonny has sold his share in the club to Lucy - Laura is less than thrilled that now Lucy is his partner. Lucky is getting into gambling. He is trying to recoop the money he spent on the trip and still owes Luke. First he takes Sonny, then he gambles and wins off his friends. When Luke figures out that Lucky is taking money from his friends he talks to Lucky about the friendship code - that you never con a friend. Sonny stops by and tells them the Feds have locked him out of his apt. The problem is that Stone's ashes are still there. Lucky and Luke help him break in, Lucky distracts the manger. Lucky brings Luke an expensive cigar from his winnings. Mike warns Luke that Lucky is hustling. Luke isn't concerned, he seems to expect it after all he is Luke's son. Lucky gets involved with a card game with non-friends on a weekly basis. The first time he loses to them he borrows against his allowance. He then loses $480 and they threaten him if he can't pay up. He is in over his head and goes to Luke for help. Luke doesn't seem concerned that Lucky is gambling that much money just that he lost. Luke refuses to loan him the money. Luke advises him to find a "mark" that can afford to lose $480. They are off the the Q's for a party and Lucky wants to know if hustling your host is okay. Luke's expression seems to indicate that yes it is when that host is Edward! On Emily's birthday, Monica gives her a letter from Paige. Luke and Lucky show up for Em's party. Lucky gives her a cactus to remind her of Arizona. Alan and Monica give her a garnet ring, her birthstone. Robin gives her a diary. Sly, Lucky, and Em meet up at Kelly's for hot chocolate and cookies. Lucky is invited to gamble by a young hood. He later tells Em about his big win. Em tells Bobbie about a disturbing dream she had about Paige, her mother. Em is wearing an eye patch and tells a story about walking Raul early in the morning (because Jason post-accident doesn't like him) and she got hit in the eye by a branch. Em goes to see Jason and tells him he doesn't have to worry about Raoul tackling him as he will be in the kitchen with cook that night. She apologizes and tells him that he used to play with the dog, he was the only besides her that played with him. He stiffens up and she asks if it bothers him when she talks about things that he used to do. He says yes as everyone does it and he is sick of hearing about how wonderful, patient, and understanding Jason used to be. He asks if she just came about Raoul and she says no that she thought he might be lonely as that was how she felt when she first came to live with the Q's and didn't know anyone. She turns to go, feeling a bit nervous. He stops her and says Raoul is okay and she is too. AJ raises money for Justus' political campaign. Em offers up her allowance, which he won't take but does accept her help as a volunteer. Em and Lucky show up at Luke's. He asks Bobbie if there are any chores he can do to earn money. Bobbie instead offers him a $10 loan, which won't go far to pay his gambling debt. Em offers him the $50 that she has saved. Lucky needs money as he wants to try and win back what he has lost. Em tries to point out that he could continue to lose more money. Lucky does not appreciate hearing this reality check. Next she suggests he go to his parents with the problem, but he says no way as he doesn't want to disappoint them. Back at the Q's, Jason flips out, trashes his room and leaves. Monica cries as Em and Alan rush in to see what the commotion is about. Harper shows up to collect his debt from Lucky. Lucky is relieved when Em shows up at the Spencer house and interrupts. Harper leaves with some veiled threats about the 22 Lucky owes him. Em is shocked to learn that Lucky owes Harper $2,200! She gives Lucky the garnet ring that Alan & Monica gave her for her birthday.
