Andy took Elizabeth to the hospital while Zander, Jason and Roy were taken to the police station. Roy was bailed out quickly by Alcazar. Roy exited the station and was told to get into a limo. Alcazar presumed Roy got his message. "You set the bomb," Roy replied.

8/6 Andy questions LIz at GH and wants to know who shot her, Jason Morgan or Zander Smith? Liz lies to the police to protect Zander from being arrested for shooting her. Later, Jason watches somberly as Zander escorts LIz home from the hospital.

Roy tells Jason he didn't plant the bomb; Jason wants to know who did. Jason reassures Carly that he will find out who set the bomb.

8/8 Kristina's funeral draws a large group of people. Sonny, Carly, Roy, Felicia and Jason show up. Ned and Jax ask Sonny and Carly to leave the service so they don't upset Alexis. Sonny informs them that Alexis asked them to come. Jason informs Liz that Alexis also asked him to come. Roy and Felicia got the same invitation. Sonny can’t believe that.

Alexis surprises everyone when she shows up at the funeral wearing a bright red suit. At the end of the eulogies, Alexis starts getting increasingly agitated and angry. She blames Sonny, Jason, and Roy for her sister's death. She tells them she wore red because it reflects how angry she is. She proceeds to tell Sonny, Jason, and Roy how she blames them and how disgusted she is with them. She gets more hysterical and gives Sonny her sister's ashes as a "souvenir." and ends up dropping the urn and spilling ashes on the ground.

Sonny and Jason confront Roy with Felicia as witness. Sonny warns Felicia to be careful. Roy refuses to tell them who was behind the explosion. He later meets with Alcazar, who tells him that he is finished with Sonny for now and that he wants Roy to target Jax next.

Liz reaches out to Jason.

8/12 Jason came by Sonny’s and of course Carly had to leave the room, saying that he could keep his secrets even though she couldn't have any. Jason had gone to Roy's again and found some stuff about Luis Alcazar. Sonny didn't know who he was and didn't know why he would be after him.

8/13 At Kelly’s, Liz uses Jason's credit card to gain entry into Kelly's but inadvertently destroys the card. Jason breaks a pane of glass to gain entry instead. Jason cuts his hand breaking in, and Liz plays nurse. Jason confronts her about her previous decision to leave town with Zander. She says it was only to save Zander's life, and not for romantic reasons.

Liz alludes to how they feel about each other, but nothing definitive is resolved. As Jason and Liz leave, Zander shows up. Liz tries to convince Zander to leave town without her for his own protection. He questions her motives on the night they made love, and Liz claims it was mutual need. Zander tells Liz that, as much as she hated being Lucky's Pity Project, that's how much he hates being hers.

8/14 Jason and Elizabeth talk briefly in Kelly's about how Elizabeth was nearly killed twice because of him. Jason wants to avoid her because he doesn't want her to be hurt again. Later, Courtney and Elizabeth talk about Sonny and whether or not there are always strings attached when he offers help. Sonny and Jason discuss who Roy's backer could possibly be and how big of a threat he is to Sonny.

8/15 Elizabeth gets worried when Jason continues to give her the cold shoulder concerning their friendship. He tells her he doesn't want her to get close to him because it is too dangerous. Liz talks to Courtney about it while they are working at Kelly's. Courtney understands when Liz tells her that she is tired of always doing the perfect, safe thing and wants to take risks more.

Courtney tells her that she used to feel that way when she could be herself around AJ. AJ overhears their conversation and asks her if she feels she has to pretend to be happy now that she has to work two jobs to help support them. Courtney denies that she is unhappy with him and that what he overheard her say to Liz wasn't what she meant to say.

Liz makes plans of her own concerning Jason. While Jason is outside Kelly's, he receives a strange phone call and thinks it's one of Alcazar's men calling to set up a meeting. When Jason arrives at some remote area near the docks, he is surprised and dismayed that it is Liz. Liz admits that she had the busboy at Kelly's call Jason for her. Jason isn't happy that she is taking her safety so lightly. He tells her to go home and not to follow him.

Liz gets fed up and confronts him about his true feelings. She accuses him of trying to run away from her and not really just to keep her safe. Jason admits that is part of it. Liz apologizes to him for hurting him when she got together with Zander and wishes he wouldn't shut her out anymore. Jason kisses her passionately and leaves.

8/16 Jason meets Roy outside Kelly's. Roy complains about being summoned. Jason tells him Sonny wants to meet at the Penthouse. Roy refuses but agrees to meet at the Oasis then leaves. Elizabeth comes outside and gives Jason his check. He pays then starts to leave. Elizabeth stops him and says hello. Jason tells her she's getting too close and to back off.

Jason arrives at Sonny’s and Carly leaves. Jason tells him of the meeting at the Oasis. He says after tonight, Roy's going to be a lot more cooperative.

Carly hears a lot of racket outside the penthouse door and finds the guards holding Elizabeth. They say she was loitering around where Jason parks his bike. Carly grins but vouches for her. When the two are alone, Carly calls her a stalker. She tells her that for some unknown reason Jason likes her and she wants him to be happy so she'll give Liz some advice.

Liz says go ahead but she doesn't have to listen. Carly starts in anyway and tells her that if she's going to be the little gangster girl then she needs to know some rules. Rule #1, if the man tells her to stay away or butt out you do it because if you don't it will only complicate things. She tells her that if she pushes Jason too far he'll cut her off just like that.

Carly says she gives them a month before she gets either herself or Jason killed. Liz gets to the hallway but Carly follows her out going on and on about how she's already been kidnapped and shot so she's not totally unprepared but if she wants Jason she'll have to take the whole package because there's no separating the two. Jason is standing at his doorway listening and when Liz gets in the elevator and tells Carly she's heard enough and Carly saying don't say I didn't warn you, Jason appears coming toward Carly. She freezes. He asks her what the hell she's doing messing with his life.

8/19 Carly was going on about Elizabeth to Jason. Jason told her to stay out of his life. They went round and round about that. When Sonny got home he told Jason to keep his eye on Courtney when she was at the Oasis, working.

8/20 Liz tells Carly she needs to get a message to Jason immediately. Liz says she's been leaving messages all over town for Jason, but he hasn't called her back. Carly tells Liz if Jason isn't returning her calls, there's probably a reason for it. Liz says its about "business." Liz says her information can possibly save Jason's life. Courtney ditches work claiming a family emergency.

Sonny tells Jason to prevent anyone from touching Courtney at the strip club, but to use discretion. AJ bursts into the penthouse announcing he'' found Sonny's jacket in his apartment, and Sonny is to stay away from Courtney. AJ accuses Sonny of not caring for Courtney.

Carly calls Jason at her penthouse and relays Liz's message. Sonny tells AJ he isn't worth the pain and humiliation that Courtney is suffering for him. Jason tells AJ to get out when it looks like Sonny is going to tell AJ that his wife is a stripper.

Liz tells Jason she overheard Alcazar and Roy talking about Sonny. She says he told Roy he has something Sonny wants more than anything in the world. Jason tells her to stay out of it. He tells her to stop eavesdropping and warning him, and to stop risking her life for him. He reminds her of recently being shot in the arm, and how easily she could have been killed. Liz's attempts to insinuate herself into his life are not working.

;Jason shows up to keep an eye on Courtney. Coleman introduces himself to Jason. Coleman alludes that his girls are available for other favors, except Daisy (Courtney) who's his. Jason leaps onstage to Courtney's rescue when a customer attempts to man-handle her.

8/21 Coleman thanks Jason for protecting Courtney but when Jason wants to talk to her, he's informed that he'd have to pay if he wants a "private dance." Jason then he explains how he's just there to act as a personal bouncer for her. Too bad Courtney doesn't seem too happy about it. She thinks that it's just another way that Sonny is trying to take control of her life.

Elizabeth and Jason run into each other at the docks and they talk for a few brief moments about Jason's life being too dangerous. Elizabeth wants to know how he feels about her, and he tells her that she already knows. Too bad she doesn't. He explains the danger one more time and then leaves.

8/22 Sonny and Jason corner Alcazar and his men near the docks. Sonny asks him what he has as leverage against him or that Sonny wants. Alcazar doesn't tell him much but that he isn't afraid of Sonny's threats and warns Sonny. Sonny and Jason talk on the docks about Alcazar. Sonny instructs Jason to put men on to watch and tail Alcazar's movements and watch over the docks and watch his yacht for activity. Jason looks through binoculars into Alcazar's yacht. All they can see is him talking to someone with their back to them.

Michael plays around with the video camcorder and leaves it on record and sets it down not knowing that it is recording what is going on in the living room. Sonny and Jason return again and speak about Alcazar not knowing they are being recorded. Sonny tells Jason that he doesn't care what Jason has to do even if it means destroying Alcazar and putting on his boat and sinking him. Michael returns with Carly later and plays the tape in the camcorder back and watches Sonny and Jason talk.

8/23 Michael quietly slips away from the penthouse. AJ finds Michael wandering along the waterfront.

8/26 Carly was frantically looking for Michael when Sonny got home. They talked and then realized that Michael might have heard a conversation that he had with Jason. He found the video camera and realized Michael had seen it.

Zander was brought into Kelly's, half conscious. Alcazar's men tried to drown him but he was fished out of the river. Elizabeth was looking after him. He doesn't remember anything, including who he is. One of Alcazar's men reported that Zander was still alive and was told to get rid of both Zander and Elizabeth. He wasn't able to get a shot there and Elizabeth took Zander to the hospital.

Elizabeth brought Zander to the hospital to get his injury checked out. Tony asked if he was on anything, any drugs. Zander said if he was he didn't remember. Tony said he ran some tests and wanted to see Zander in a couple of days. Elizabeth and Zander were sitting in the lounge area when a bullet whizzed by their heads. Zander figured they were still after him, whoever they were.

AJ and Michael were talking when Jason showed up. AJ told Michael that his 'dad' did bad things. AJ told Jason to report to his boss and leave him and Michael to finish their conversation. Jason called Sonny to let him know he had found Michael and to say that AJ was with him. Sonny and Carly came down and Carly hugged Michael and told him not to run away like that again. Michael asked Sonny if he was bad. He was told Sonny did bad things. Sonny gave AJ a look.

8/27 AJ tells Michael, in Jason's presence, that Sonny is a killer who makes people die. Michael turns to Sonny and asks if what AJ said was true. Sonny promises to tell Michael the truth, but not here and now. Carly and Michael leave. Sonny confronts AJ with being responsible for Michael's pain and confusion, and asks him if he has any idea what he can do to AJ with only Jason as a witness. AJ challenges Sonny to blow him away and explain it to Michael.

Sonny tells AJ he hurt a little boy for spite and AJ should die, but that there are more ways than one to kill a man. He promises to open AJ's eyes for him. Sonny leaves, and AJ asks Jason what Sonny meant; Jason tells him he'll find out soon enough. Jason chastises AJ for accosting Michael. AJ defends his actions not to protect Michael from the truth.

AJ says that, at age 6, it's time for Michael to know who and what Sonny is. Jason tells AJ that he is Michael's biological father only, after a one-night drunken stand with Carly, and he has no rights to Michael. Jason tells AJ that tonight AJ proved that he is not Michael's father. AJ is upset and leaves.

Sonny returns to the docks, and Jason tells him everything AJ said to Michael. He says he didn't fight with AJ in front of Michael, but reassured Michael that Sonny and Carly love him. Sonny relays that he keeps his business away from Michael to protect him, and that AJ was just messing with Michael's head. Sonny confirms with Jason that Courtney is working at the Oasis tonight, and tells Jason that AJ is going for a little ride.

Jason enters the Oasis first to warn Courtney what is about to happen, but she is uncooperative and refuses to go home. Sonny and AJ arrive at the Oasis after Sonny picks him up outside Kelly's. Sonny tells AJ that he wants AJ to see what he's done to his wife, the wife AJ loves so much, and shoves AJ in the door. Courtney is dancing on stage, scantily clad and stripping with much enthusiasm to the cheers of a crowd of attentive men. AJ is devastated and stares in disbelief.

8/28 AJ is stunned to see Courtney stripping at the club. Jason makes it clear to Coleman that Courtney's stripping days are over.

8/29 Jason stays at Courtney and AJ's apartment in case AJ shows up and possibly hurts Courtney. Courtney goes out to run some errands. AJ returns to the apartment and waits for Courtney with Jason watching him. AJ tells Jason to leave them alone and go back and tell Sonny that his plan of revenge worked. Jason refuses to leave him alone with Courtney right now and that he'll make sure Courtney is off the hook with Coleman from now on and won't have to strip anymore. Courtney returns home. Jason leaves when he sees she isn't in any real danger from AJ.

Jason finds Coleman outside his club. He hands him a paper bag filled with money to start over again in exchange for not pressing charges or causing trouble for AJ or Courtney again. Coleman questions Jason's motives but excepts the money. AJ shows up to accept responsibility for the fire but Coleman acts like he doesn't know him and leaves. AJ realizes Jason paid him off because of Courtney. He tells him he came to take the blame but Jason ruined it again by doing Sonny's work and not allowing him to fix things for his own wife.

8/30 Jason and AJ argue outside the burned down Oasis. AJ goes on about his broken life and torn marriage. Jason says he hasn't changed and still wrecks everything in his life and now he's doing it to Courtney. Jason tells him to be a man just once and turn himself in for torching the club and let Courtney go so she can have a real life.

Jason arrives and tells Sonny that AJ isn't going to jail for the arson. He says he made the charge go away. He rambles off all the bad things AJ's done and asks if that's the person he gave peace of mind and sent him back to Courtney. He wanted him gone. Jason said Courtney wanted him to save AJ. Sonny is furious and asks if Jason was asleep, on crack, in a trance, what. Jason said he had to make a quick decision. Sonny says he went against him and helped his enemy. Jason argues that he is helping Sonny’s sister. Sonny says his job is to follow his orders and this isn't the first time he disobeyed. If he can't or won't do the job like he used to then leave.

9/2 Sonny was asking Jason why he went against his order to get rid of AJ by having him arrested for arson. Jason argued that he wanted him to take care of Courtney and that's what Jason did. AJ is what Courtney wants. They went round and round with Sonny questioning Jason's loyalty. Jason couldn't believe Sonny would question his loyalty. Carly came home and she stopped their arguing. She said AJ wasn't worth it.

Elizabeth went to find Jason and told him that someone was trying to kill Zander. She filled him in on Zander’s temporary memory loss and assured Jason that Zander wasn’t faking it. She told him about being shot at while at GH. Jason worries that if whoever is after Zander obviously thinks he knows something and is trying to shut him up and that puts her in danger too if they think she knows something too. Elizabeth takes Jason to the motel room where they are hiding out. They find a thug unconscious and Zander gone.

9/3 Liz and Jason still can't locate Zander. Taggert confronts Jason about a patient in 512 (Alcazar's hitman) who claims his gun went off accidentally when he was cleaning it. Taggert says that Jason dumped the man at the Emergency Room. Taggert asks Liz what it's going to take for her to distance herself from Jason, she's already been shot and kidnapped.

Alcazar stops by GH to visit the patient in room 512. Not surprisingly, a code blue is called for room 512. Jason is there and overhears the code blue.

Liz and Jason arrive at the apartment, and Zander follows them in pointing a gun at Jason. Zander wants to know who Jason is. Zander then says the guy who came after him is Jason. Jason tells Zander that someone is trying to kill him.

Jason allows Liz and Zander to hide out at his place. All Zander remembers is that the hitman was on Alcazar's boat. Jason leaves and tells Zander and Liz to stay put. Liz continues to query Zander about his memories of the boat. Zander remembers a woman with porcelain, soft skin, dark hair, understanding eyes and the scent of jasmine.

9/4 Sonny orders Jason to investigate Alcazar's yacht. While on the yacht, Jason learns Alcazar is holding a woman who is very important to his ultimate goal. Brenda is revealed to be the mystery woman on the yacht.

Zander is hurt by Elizabeth and Jason's closeness. Elizabeth opens up to Zander about her feelings for Jason.

9/5 Jason picks the lock in one of the rooms in Alcazar's boat. Brenda is on the other side of the door. Jason tells her that she is safe with him and that he is a friend and works for Sonny Corinthos and he is there to help her. Brenda recognizes Jason's voice but is afraid to tell him who she is.

Jason gets into the room with no sign of Brenda. He sees another door and goes toward it. When he opens it, Brenda's nurse is on the other side and not Brenda. She refuses to help Jason and Alcazar and his men come in and catch Jason. Alcazar orders him men to kill Jason and make no mistakes this time. They drag a fighting Jason out on deck and try to kill him. Jason fights back and knocks both men down and dives overboard after both men try to shoot at him in the water.

Zander questions Elizabeth about her relationship with Jason. Elizabeth tries to be honest with him. Zander asks her if they were ever more than friends. Elizabeth explains to him that they were more than friends once but that it really was a mistake for them both. She also tells him about how he was in love with her friend Emily at one time but that it didn't work out and how Emily is now out of town and in rehab for a broken back and doing fine.

Jason shows up with a cut on his temple. Elizabeth goes to him and takes care of his cut. Jason asks Zander to try to remember more about what happened on the boat and tells him what he saw on there.

9/6 Carly and Sonny go to see how Jason is and realizing that she might cause problems for Zander, Carly volunteers to leave, but Sonny tells her to stay. They learn about what happen on Alcazar's yacht and how Jason was shot at. Jason tells them that he found the woman that Alcazar was holding (in truth, he found Diana, Brenda's nurse) and that he had no idea who she was.

Brenda is worried about how Alcazar wants Roy to kill Sonny and Diana recommends that she convince him that Sonny and Jax no longer mean anything to her so that he might consider leaving them alone.

Jason and Liz begin to get close again and Liz seems to be working at breaking Jason's soft shell so that he will allow them to form a more personal relationship. Liz tries to convince him that she's not going to one-day change her mind about him because of what he does for a living.

9/9 Jason and Elizabeth talked. She mentioned about making a mistake sleeping with Zander. Jason said he saw them and she asked why he didn't let her know. He finally admitted to wanting her but warned her that there would be times when he had to leave and couldn't tell her where he was going or what he was doing. She said she understood.

9/12 Brenda takes out the flare gun and shoots the flare gun, aiming for the window. Sonny had asked Jason to pick up Carly and bring her to the docks. Sonny got a report from Jason that the woman he saw on Alcazar's boat was escorted off the boat and it looked like Alcazar was planning to leave port. Sonny didn't buy it and wondered what Alcazar's nex move is going to be. Sonny later witnesses Alcazar's boat catching on fire from the window of the penthouse. He allows Carly to go with him to check out what happened. Brenda is trapped in the boat and cant' escape when the boat takes in water.

9/13 The water continues to rise around Brenda as she desperately tries to escape from the sinking yacht. Brenda manages to make it to shore and eludes being seen by Alcazar. Brenda convinces a teenager to call Sonny to arrange a meeting at St. Timothy's. Sonny demands to speak to the woman who asked the teenager to call him.

DVD #18B 9/16 The guy Brenda was getting to call Sonny wasn't having much success. Sonny insisted he talk with her, this 'stranger' that wanted him to meet at St. Timothy's church. Brenda took the phone but didn't say anything. Sonny did agree to go to the church. Sonny had agreed to meet with this woman.

After Jason and Sonny left the penthouse, Elizabeth came to see Carly. Elizabeth asked Carly how she did it, lived with Sonny and try not to be afraid. Carly said she doesn't talk about it. She asked Elizabeth if she knew anything about peppers. Elizabeth came and helped cut up peppers. They actually talked civilly for awhile.

After Elizabeth left, Carly lit some candles and opened a bottle of red wine. She was drinking this wine as the whole scene at the church played out.

Brenda was heading towards the front door of the church. In slow motion, Sonny was shown coming towards the church. Roy was watching and waiting to take his shot at Sonny. Sonny walked up the steps toward the church and as he got there, Brenda came out and they locked eyes for a moment before a shot rang out.

9/17 St. Timothy's Church Roy shoots Sonny, and Sonny collapses to the ground in the pouring rain. Brenda rushes to a blood-soaked Sonny. Jason calls Carly and notifies her to go to the church while Sonny lies in the rain. Brenda wants to stay with Sonny, but Jason prevents this and whisks her away in Sonny's car. An ambulance is called. The ambulance arrives while the priest is saying prayers over Sonny.

The paramedics declare Sonny dead after unsuccessfully attempting to revive him while a hysterical Carly cries over Sonny's body.

Brenda fumes at Jason for taking her away from Sonny. Jason explains that he'd rather be with Sonny himself, but Sonny's orders were for Jason to protect Brenda, who is the cause of all of this. Jason physically carries Brenda into a room at a safehouse. Jason starts to question Brenda about Alcazar.

Brenda reveals to Jason that she his her mother's insanity. Jason questions why Brenda didn't ask Alcazar what he did for a living. Brenda admits she wasted Sonny's time by not calling him because she wanted to see him herself. Jason wants to know the first time Alcazar mentioned Sonny's name. Brenda claims that her disease makes her memory and cognizance unreliable and confusing. Brenda confirms to Jason that Roy DiLucca was supposed to kill Sonny.

Jason reiterates that Alcazar told Sonny he had something that Sonny wanted more than anything in the world, and apparently that was supposed to be Brenda, but that Sonny's family is the most important thing to him. Jason advises Brenda that Sonny is married to Carly, and that Sonny loves Carly. Brenda wants to know about Jax, and how Jax is going to be protected. Jason tells Brenda not to presume she understands the relationship Sonny and he have.

Jason receives a phone call that appears to require further cooperation to get Carly home safely. Jason hangs up and tells Brenda that Sonny is being taken to the morgue. Brenda laments the evening's happenings, and we see a close-up of a wall vent. She says she's always loved Sonny. On the other side of the vent, Sonny (wearing a bulletproof vest) hears Brenda's confession.

9/18 At Sonny's penthouse, Elizabeth goes into the penthouse to see Carly coming down the stairs telling her that Sonny had been shot and killed.

Brenda sleeps dreaming that she wakes to find Sonny standing in the doorway but then wakes to find Jason there instead. Brenda tells Jason about her dream that Sonny was still alive then says that Sonny was dead because of her. Sonny hears her from the next room.
