Just Jason #16 August 25, 2000 - April 23, 2001: 9 hrs 42 mins original edit

DVD #16A Jason showed up at Sonny's door and didn't say anything; he might have been too shocked that Carly opened the door. She looked quite surprised yet pleased to see him.

8/28 Carly sees Jason at the door to the penthouse. She tells him to never leave her again and then she holds him close,telling him that she needs him. He holds her with tears in his eyes and she tells him she thought about him every day and he says he did too, but is rather vague about where he was. He hands her a teddy bear for the new baby and then she tells him everything about how she lost the baby, and then how Sonny helped her out so much and then she tells Jason about her plan to help Sonny but now its more of a mess than ever. Jason tells Carly that he left town for a number of reasons. He also tells her that he tracked down the arsonist and that he was happy for her being pregnant, cause he always knew that there was no future for him and her.

Sonny returned to his penthouse to find Jason visiting with Michael and Carly. Later, Sonny and Jason discussed the death of the baby and Sonny told Jason that Carly helped him through a difficult time. Sonny told Jason his side of the story about his arrest and how Carly was involved. Sonny shared with Jason that he could never trust Carly again. Sonny then caught Carly eavesdropping on his and Jason's conversation.

As Carly, Sonny and Jason finished a toast, Alexis came over and was surprised to see Jason. Jason then shared with Alexis how he saw her poster at a Texas bar and she continued to get teased. Alexis shared her fears that the "Eddie's Angel" saga will harm Sonny's defense.

8/29 Sonny returned to his penthouse to find Jason visiting with Michael and Carly. Later, Sonny and Jason discussed the death of the baby and Sonny told Jason that Carly helped him through a difficult time. Sonny told Jason his side of the story about his arrest and how Carly was involved. Sonny shared with Jason that he could never trust Carly again. Sonny then caught Carly eavesdropping on his and Jason's conversation. Jason turned down Sonny and Carly's invite to sleep over and heads to Jake's for the night.

8/31 Carly is on the phone trying to find Jason when Sonny gets home. She quickly hangs up the phone when he walks in and asks him if he knows where Jason is. Sonny tells Carly that he and Jason have a meeting later. Carly asks if Jason is coming to the penthouse and Sonny informs her that the meeting is scheduled for somewhere else because Carly has proven that she cannot be trusted. This sets off another heated discussion between Sonny and Carly and her good intentions and his inability to forgive or understand. Carly tells Sonny that now that Jason is back everything will be okay because her and Jason and Michael can move back into Jason's penthouse and then Carly will no longer be an "obligation" that Sonny has to put up with and he can get on with his life.

They continue to argue about the arrest and Carly's intentions. Carly informs Sonny that she has already told Jason every sordid detail about the arrest and that Jason knew that Carly was trying (in her own way) to help Sonny. Carly tells Sonny that no matter how hard he tries he will not be able to make Jason hate Carly. Carly is very insistent that now that Jason is back, everything will be fine. Sonny tells Carly that she is living in a dream world! He reminds her that he is still facing 15 years for drug trafficking charges.

Jason runs into Liz on the docks and they share a big hug. Liz calls Emily and tells her to get down to the docks immediately because she has a HUGE surprise for her and whatever she does, NOT to bring Juan with her! Liz fills Jason in on what has been happening since he left. The main topic is the fact that Lucky is ALIVE! Jason thinks that is great but Liz tells Jason about the mixed signals and Lucky's bizarre on again/off again feelings for her.

Emily shows up, sees Jason and runs to him and gives him a big hug. Emily tells Jason how glad she is that he is back and what a mess things are right now and that there has been so much going on that she must tell him. Lucky shows up and stops Emily practically mid sentence by saying that the three of them, Lucky, Liz, Em, must get to Kelly's ASAP. Liz jumps in and tells Lucky that Emily has a lot to talk to Jason about but Lucky becomes even more demanding as he insists that the three of them get over to Kelly's NOW! Lucky tells Emily that she will have plenty of time later to catch up with Jason on any "family" business, but that now is not the time. Sonny shows up to talk to Jason, so Jason tells Emily to go ahead and leave with her friends and they'll talk later. Lucky, Emily, and Liz, leave and Sonny and Jason stay on the docks where they have privacy.

When Sonny and Jason are alone on the docks, they discuss Carly. Sonny tells Jason about some of the things Carly has pulled and why she did them. Jason tells Sonny that he is beginning to understand the way Carly's mind works. Sonny denies having feelings for Carly, but Jason can see through it. Then Sonny tells Jason that Alexis told him that the only way for him to keep Carly from testifying and thus him going to prison is for Sonny and Carly to get married. Sonny looks into Jason's eyes as he says this and waits for Jason's reaction. Jason tells Sonny that Carly is not Lily and maybe Sonny and Carly could learn to be happy together. Sonny asks Jason how he can be so "matter of fact" when Sonny knows that Carly is in love with Jason and that Jason also has strong feelings for Carly. Jason says that if marrying Carly will keep Sonny out of prison, then that is what Sonny has to do!

9/1 Sonny and Jason have a chat about Mike and his gambling problem. Jason tries to persuade Sonny to give Mike a chance and listen to his side of the gambling/Sorrel story. Though Jason suggests that Mike might have had his reasons for getting involved with Sorel, Sonny refuses to consider giving his dad another chance.

Carly comes into Kelly’s and warns a bristling Elizabeth she'll rip every hair from her head if she ever goes near Jason again. Unimpressed, Elizabeth jeers at Carly for blowing her big chance to be Jason's one and only. Carly threatens, “stay away from Jason, little girl”. Carly hits Jason up for help, she wants to leave the penthouse and be with Jason and baby Michael; she begins to fill Jason in on more events that he has missed.

Elizabeth runs into Jason who is out riding on his motorcycle. Liz is fed up with Lucky's back and forth actions so she asks Jason if he will take her for a ride on his bike. Jason takes Liz for a ride on his bike. Lucky sees LIz take off with Jason and he runs screaming after her!

9/4 Jason and Liz end up at the bridge together. Jason tells Liz all about his own personal history and memories that went with the bridge. That this was where he first met Robin, and that is the last place he saw her after she told AJ the truth about Michael's paternity then booked it for Paris. Jason told Liz that he was finally at peace with himself and his life without Robin. Liz asked him how he got past the hurt and how long it took? They had a very serious talk about "significant others" and "letting go" and "healing the hurt".

Jason asks her what Emily wanted to tell him earlier and offers his help. Liz reluctantly tells him that she can’t tell him, that they are all involved. He makes her promise that if Lucky can’t handle the situation that she will come to her if it looks like her or Emily are going to be hurt. Then in order to lighten the mood, Jason tried to teach Liz the art of "bar fighting" and they sparred and laughed and for a little while anyway, life was good for both of them! When Jason dropped Liz off at Kelly’s, a waiting Lucky told Jason that Liz belonged with him and he wanted Jason to keep his distance. Liz demanded that Lucky tell her what was going on with him.

9/5 At Jake's, Jason defended Alexis against some guys who were glad to see "Eddie's Angel." Since Sonny wouldn't do it, Alexis asked Jason if he would take Carly out of the country. Jason agreed to discuss the situation with Carly and Sonny. Jason teasingly told her it was good to “see her” (talking about her Eddie’s Angel photo in her lingerie). He then helps her slip out back before her "fan club" pursued her. When Jason returns, A.J. confronts him and tells his brother that he hates him and he no longer feels guilty about causing Jason’s accident.

9/7 Sonny thanks Jason for the timely tip about Carlos. As they discuss their options, Sonny tells Jason he won't stand in the way if he wants to take Carly and Michael out of the country. Carly trails Jason to Jake's, where she coaxes him out onto the dance floor in hopes of rekindling a spark.

9/8 Jason and Carly are still at Jake’s and Carly was still trying to convince Jason to take her and Michael out of the country. She used the “family” trump card, but Jason wouldn’t go for it. He told her she was fooling herself that she’d be happy forever with him. He reminded her of the days when she declared herself in love with Tony. She said that was totally different, but Jason said it really wasn’t. He then asked her if she thought they’d be living together as lovers. When she enthusiastically responded yes, he shot her down by telling her that it would never work. She seductively reminded him of how good sex was between them and then promised it would be even better now. Jason told her that she would destroy him if they became lovers. He said he loved her and would always be there to “save” her.

Liz calls Jason and tells him that Emily needs his help. She tells Jason that by telling him she is breaking her promise to Emily and Lucky. She tells him that Emily went to a rave, her drink was drugged, and she woke up next to a murdered guy. Liz tells Jason that they have the body and the guy was a cop (this is the Dead Ted storyline)! Jason looks shocked. She has told him as Emily had told her that she was going home but she was is afraid that Emily went to the rave. He can’t believe they plan on moving the body during a rave with tons of people around.

9/11 Liz calls Jason and tells him everything about the plan for the Rave and "Dead Ted" and Emily. Jason says he'll take care of it. He arrives at the rave just after Zander drives off in Nikolas' Jag with Emily at gunpoint and in the driver seat. Jason asks which way they were headed and as he turns to go after them, Taggert orders the cops to "cuff him" and tells Jason that he is under arrest for whatever charges he has to use to keep Jason from going out and playing "vigilante" on his own.

9/12 Outraged by Jason's arrest, Carly causes a ruckus in the squad room and goes off on Dara about Jason being arrested. Jason asks Sonny if they should stop her? Sonny smiles and says no that having Carly going off on them for arresting Jason without cause may help. Alexis arrives to work on obtaining her client's release through legal channels. An anxious Jason explains to Sonny why he has to get on Zander's trail right away. Sonny tells Jason that he will put his men on Sorel in case Zander shows up there. Taggart convinces Dara to hold Jason for 48 hours so he won't interfere with the investigation for Emily. Lucky goes to PCPD to see Jason. Lucky asks Jason to tell him where he might find Emily and Jason tells him to leave it alone, he doesn't know what he is doing and it is his fault Emily is in this trouble anyway.

9/13 Taggert has Jason brought into interrogation. Taggert was determined to get Jason to divulge some information about Zander and/or Sorel. Jason was silent as usual. Monica arrived and requested to see her son. Taggert allowed the visit. Jason wondered why Monica was there? A t first he thought it was because of Emily, but actually Monica wanted to see Jason. She told him how much she has missed him and that she will always love him. Jason thanked her for coming. Jason also promised that once he was released, he would do everything in his power to get Emily back alive.

Alan burst into the room shouting and accusing Jason of all types of wrong doing and not helping Emily. Monica tried to calm him but he was on a rampage. Then AJ entered the room and actually said something valuable. AJ said that in this instance, they all should put aside their differences and work together on Emily's behalf. Alan finally calmed down and pleaded with Jason to give the police anything to help retrieve Emily. After Alan left, Monica apologized to Jason for his father's behavior.

AJ asked for a moment alone with his brother. Jason asked him what did he want. He asked Jason if he got him released would he get Emily back safely. Jason responded by saying he would try his best but he could not promise because he did not know what situation he would encounter but he would do a better job than the cops. AJ went out into the police office and starts begging Taggert to release Jason. He pleaded with him about how Jason is Emily's only hope. Hannah overheard their conversation and also appealed to Taggert and asked him to let Jason go. After Hannah's plea, Taggert relinquished and allowed Jason's release. Taggert was not pleased with Hannah's consistent support given to AJ and seemed irritated. Jason left the station on a mission.

9/15 Jason shows up the day of Sonny and Carly’s wedding. Carly asks him to give her away. He agrees. Minutes later, Sonny asked Jason to be his best man, in spite of everything that had happened between them. Jason offered Sonny his forgiveness and let him know that he still respected and honored Sonny. Carly actually seems excited. Alexis and Jason act as witnesses and the wedding begins. In the middle of Sonny’s vows, Carly blurts out the she can’t do it.

9/18 Jason went upstairs to console Carly. Jason tried to persuade Carly into believing that Sonny really wanted to marry her. Sonny overheard her say that she would marry Sonny, but only because Jason wanted her to. After Jason calmed Carly down, she and Sonny exchanged vows at last.

9/19 Officially married, Carly and Sonny directed Jason and Alexis to stay for a small celebration. Sonny later thanked Jason for persuading Carly to go through with the wedding. Jason said he did it because he knew Carly and Sonny would be happy together.

9/20 Jason and Elizabeth were talking at Kelly's. Jason was telling Elizabeth about Carly and Sonny's wedding. He even went into details about how Carly really is beginning to love Sonny and vice versa, even though the wedding did occur out of convenience. Elizabeth asks if it bothers Jason, but he tells her no. So they change the subject to her and Lucky. Elizabeth then went on to tell Jason about everything Nikolas, Lucky, and she were doing to gather more information about Zander. Jason warned Elizabeth about them offering money to get information because there are some unscrupulous people out there who would lie just to get the money. He tells her that he thinks Emily and Zander are headed for the border.

She told Jason that they had discovered one lead about Zander partying at Raves in Albany and that the group was planning a trip there to search for Emily. Jason warned her again not to go about things in this manner, but Elizabeth told him that they were going to continue. Next Lucky and Nikolas showed up at Kelly's to talk to Elizabeth. Lucky confronts Elizabeth about telling Jason about the Emily mess. Jason voiced his opinion again to the group, he told them he was not going to ask them to stop looking for Emily, but just not to continuing offering money.

9/21 Carly comes into Kelly’s and tries to rub in Liz's face that she and Sonny got married. Carly is annoyed when Liz tells her that Jason has already told her. A catty argument ensues.

9/22 As he waits for news about a possible lead on his sister, Jason plays marriage counselor once more for nervous newlyweds Carly and Sonny.

9/25 Jason went to the country store where Zander had earlier bought the candy and other things for Emily. After seeing the pixie sticks, Jason showed the store clerk a picture of Emily and asked if either of them had been there. The man said that Zander had been there just a bit earlier, but he had no idea where he went after leaving the store. Jason suddenly realized that two of Sorel’s men were about to enter the store, so he paid the clerk not to say that he was there, or that Zander had been there, and then he hid in the back of the store.

Claiming to be investigators hired by the Quartermaines, the men questioned the clerk about Zander and Emily. The clerk lied as Jason had requested, but unfortunately, another customer walked in as Zander’s picture was still out and told the men he had seen a young couple matching their description at a barn. He gave directions to it. The men took off, soon followed by Jason, who purchased lighter fluid and something with which to start a fire.

Emily and Zander both fell asleep in the barn. Zander woke up when he heard Sorel’s men outside the barn. He quickly woke Emily, and the pair ran to a back corner of the barn, hiding behind haystacks. Zander pulled out his gun and told Emily that when he started shooting, she was to run into the woods. One of the guys was about to walk down the path leading to Zander and Em’s hiding spot, a burst of flames lit the night sky. Both thugs ran out of the barn to see that their car was a ball of fire. That gave Emily and Zander the chance to sneak out of the barn but not with any of their possessions. Jason entered the barn, evidently after Sorel’s men were gone, and found Emily’s letter. He looked relieved that she was alive and apparently okay.

9/27 Jason brings Emily’s letter to the Quartermaines. The family is grateful that Jason is looking for Emily. AJ can’t handle the fact that Jason is getting even more glory. He starts to drink yet again. Jason convinces Edward that Emily is probably okay and that he will do everything he can to get her home safely.

9/28 A drunken A.J. taunted Jason about not finding Emily. Hannah showed up and took A.J. away from the bar. Carly went to see Jason and told him that her marriage wasn't working so he lost the bet they made on her wedding night.

9/29 Jason tells Carly that she is pushing Sonny too hard and to give him space. They hug (while Sonny is watching) and Jason walks her out. When he comes back inside Sonny is sitting waiting for him. They discuss Carly. Jason says that Carly is just the way she is but that Sonny is better off with her. He also tells him that when two people are in love they find a way to make things work. Sonny says they are not in love and Jason says yeah well whatever you call it. Jason leaves to check out a tip on Emily. Jason finds Emily's hat that fell off the back of the car at the last place they stopped.

10/2 Liz runs into Jason. She pours her heart out, "Lucky really loves me. Helena has been controlling him the entire time." Jason was understandably skeptical. Liz was on cloud nine, thanking Jason for distracting her during her wait for Lucky.

10/3 Jason tells Lucky and Elizabeth how he's going to lie in wait for Zander at the foot bridge into Canada. Though Jason insists on handling Zander alone, Lucky tells Elizabeth he has no intention of leaving Albany until he's found Emily.

10/5 All the parties searching for Emily and Zander are closing in. Liz and Lucky are in the field where they slept. Sorel’s two goons find them and hold Liz at gunpoint. Jason shows up almost immediately, aims his gun at the guy holding Liz, and gets Sorel’s men to let her go. He then orders them to return to PC and to tell Sorel to back off. After the two guys leave, Jason angrily says to Lucky, “I thought I told you to go home!” Lucky responds that he isn’t leaving. He and Jason exchange angry words; Jason tells Liz that if she can’t persuade Lucky to leave, then she should go back to PC on her own.

10/6 Liz and Jason talk in the field. He thinks it is dangerous for her to be there and wants her and Lucky to leave. She says she knows Jason is right but Liz says she can't give Lucky the impression that she is doubting him since he is still reeling from Faison's brainwashing. Jason tells Lucky that he and Liz need to leave. lucky refuses and he retorts that Jason has made miscalculations when Nik was shot, when Jason himself was shot and insists on staying. He thinks he can help Em.

10/9 Zander and Jason stare each other down and Emily breaks free and throws herself in front of Zander. She convinces Zander that Jason won’t hurt him and he should head for the border. He does and just misses the arriving police. Emily manages to convince everyone to go along with her to the police that she just happened to find the Canadian border and her friends at the same time.

10/10 Terrified that Sonny wouldn't return, from Puerto Rico alive, Carly pleaded with Jason to stop him from going. She wasn't pleased when Jason offered to go in his stead. Sonny and Carly bid Jason a painful goodbye as he left town to take care of Sonny's business.

1/29 Jason called and told Sonny that their plan for Sorel would work. It would be more than anyone expected.

1/30 Sonny was on the phone with Jason telling him to stay out of sight. Jason agreed. He said they have to keep their advantage and surprise Sorel. Sonny said that he wanted Sorel gone before he takes something that he can't afford to lose. Jason reassured Sonny that Sorel would not go for Carly because she doesn't hold anything for him; he will come directly for Sonny. Sonny again said that this has to be done right to take down Sorel. Jason answered that he will be waiting when Sorel goes after Sonny again.

When Elizabeth arrived at her studio, she was pleasantly shocked when Jason said hi in that innocent and handsome way he has. The two hugged and Elizabeth started to ask him questions. He told her he could not answer now. He asked for her help. He needed a place to hide out and no one could know that he was there. She said that would be a little difficult considering that Lucky was on his way to the studio. He asked again, please. She was about to reply when there was a knock on the door. She pulled Jason into the closet and went to answer the door. Lucky asked her what took so long. She looked up at him as she thought of what to say.

1/31 Elizabeth is forced to give Lucky the bum's rush after Jason reminds her that no one must know he's there.

2/2 Jason was still hiding out at Elizabeth's studio. He hid in the closet as soon as he heard someone at the door, but it was Elizabeth with some lunch for him. They talked about Emily and Jason didn't want anyone to know he was there. He didn't even want Elizabeth to know. He gave her some money to give Emily and Elizabeth asked how she was going to explain it, that she robbed a bank? Someone knocked at the door. It was Lucky and she left with him as quickly as possible.

2/5 Jason called Sonny and told him they had to meet. Liz came in with lunch for Jason and he said he would eat later. He told her it must be a hassle for him to stay there but he needed another favor. She said she would do anythjng for him. He said he needed her to leave, now. Liz was afraid something bad was about to happen, that's why he wanted her to leave. He said nothing was going to happen, Sonny was coming over and what they had to discuss couldn't wait. He agreed to be careful. Sonny came by and Jason told him that Carlos and Sorel were in town, specifically to kill him.

2/6 Jason and Sonny continued to catch up. Jason informed Sonny that Carlos arrived today from Panama and was probably in Port Charles to kill him. Sonny replied that stakes just got a whole lot hotter. I made it easy for Sorel to ambush me. He tried to kill me in Puerto Rico and didn't succeed. Then he shot at me in front of the police station, but it will be difficult to kill me now. Sonny then asked Jason if everything went according to plan. Jason confirmed that he left the casino in Puerto Rico and played the unhappy employee and gave every indication that he was on his way to Italy. Sonny sat down on the sofa and gave Jason a blow by blow account of what happened when he was shot. Sonny also confided that he is having nightmares about the shooting, but the outcome is different in his dreams, because the person next to him is Carly and when he rolls her over she is dead.

Jason assured him that Sorel is not after Carly; because if he ever hurt Carly he knows he is as good as dead. Sorel has to take down you, Sonny. Sonny continued his sad story and asked Jason if he remembered how he used to dream about Lily's death and seeing the flashes of pink. He can barely stand it and he wakes up every night screaming and Carly is there to hold me. I just tell her it is the medicine or I'm in pain and she believes that everything is okay and it's not. Jason we have to get Sorel. His information is too good, which means that he has someone on the inside of my organization. We can't just deal with Sorel we also have to trap and deal with the traitor. Now I remember how much it costs to have a family, a wife and child. They live the pretty life and in order to keep them safe you have to make yourself so powerful so that your enemies know that if they touch you it's over.

Elizabeth stopped by her studio to bring Jason some food. She was kind of rattled when she arrived. She confided to Jason that there was a girl (Gia) who was up for the same modeling job who just continued to aggravate her constantly. Elizabeth wished that she could be like Jason and keep quiet and not let Gia get to her. Jason told her that it was fine because getting back in Gia's face it is who she is. Elizabeth then sympathized with Jason and told him she could not understand how he could be okay with Carly and Sonny all comfortable at the penthouse and him sneaking around to protect them. Jason told her not to worry about that and are you sure that is what I am doing. Then he said that Sonny and Carly are where they belong and so is he. I am where I want to be.

Elizabeth told Jason that while he and Sonny were meeting, she was with Nikolas and he was helping her to put together a scrapbook for Lucky of the year he missed. She said that the only thing that she could not put in the scrapbook was him. I can't tell Lucky how you rescued me at Jake's and how you saved me with the long bike rides. You made me feel better then anyone ever could. Jason then said, you don't need to put that in a book, you know how it felt and so do I.

Elizabeth then asked, do you ever think about those times? Jason replied, “Yes, all the time” as he and Elizabeth looked deep into each other's eyes (it was getting pretty deep in emotions in that moment). Elizabeth was about to say something, but then she excused herself and said she had to get going to Kelly's before people started to look for her. Jason let out a big breath because the air was so tense in the studio. Elizabeth tried to hurry out, as quick as she could, but Jason stopped her and said that he needed to pay her. Elizabeth turned to Jason, looked him in the eye and said we're even because you have done more for me than I have ever done for you.

2/7 At the studio, Elizabeth complains to Jason that Lucky should have asked her permission before taking Carly up on her offer.

2/9 Elizabeth went to her studio and found Jason stretching her canvas for her to prevent her getting more splinters. He asked how things were with Lucky and she told him Lucky had come by Kelly's with a white rose and an apology for taking Gia's picture without telling her. They had dinner at the Port Charles Grill. He told her he was happy for her. They stared at each other then she left, saying she would pick up some lunch for him.

Sonny came to see Jason and told him it was time to make a move on Sorel. He said Valentine's Day seemed appropriate. Jason said he would be ready; he had a clear view of the warehouse from where he was. Sonny left and ran into Lucky outside Elizabeth's studio. He said Lucky's name loud enough so Jason would hear and hide. He told Lucky that Elizabeth wasn't home. Lucky said he had a key, he would wait.

2/12 Lucky was waiting for Liz when she got to her studio. She was surprised to see him but covered well. He just wanted to hang out but Liz tried to get him to take a walk with her. Jason was listening from his hiding place in the closet. Liz and Lucky danced for a bit, then Liz insisted Lucky leave so she could paint and she would meet him at Kelly's in two hours with a surprise. Finally, he left, taking the bag of food meant for Jason. Liz hoped Jason hadn't heard all that but he said he did. She begged him not to let Lucky know. She said all she did was send Lucky away. Jason asked if she wanted to go after him. "And tell him more lies?" Liz asked. She told Jason she couldn't do this anymore; she couldn't keep lying to Lucky. Jason told her it would be only another twenty-four hours. She asked what he would do then and he said he didn't plan that far ahead.

2/13 Elizabeth brought Jason lunch at her studio. As she unloaded the bag they began to speak about Valentine's Day and gently walk around their feelings for one another. Jason spoke of Valentine's Day being the day where you give someone you like something they like. For instance, last year at Valentine's he was looking for the arsonist that the Quartermaines hired to burn the warehouse. Elizabeth was amazed. She said even though you left, you were still looking out for Carly and Michael. Leaving does not change the way you feel about someone; sometimes it makes the feelings even clearer. He told her he would always care about Carly and Michael. They belong with Sonny now because they are a family. Elizabeth asked, where does that leave you? It doesn't seem fair. I'm their friend. Carly, Michael, and I would have never worked. Sometimes what seems right isn't always right for you. What is right for you Jason? I don't know he replied. What is really right for anyone? Do you know for yourself?

Elizabeth said that Lucky and my painting is right for me I hope. Jason asked what do you mean about I hope painting. Elizabeth said the only thing that she painted that felt good was the wind that she painted for him as a gift that he did not take with him. Jason said he could not take it with me. It is a gift that you come back to. Elizabeth started to talk about her latest painting, when she noticed that Jason was staring out the window. She said what are you looking at so intently. Oh she said there is a perfect view of the warehouse from my window, so that is why you wanted to stay here. Jason replied that it was only one of the reasons. She looked over to him smiling. Then there was an explosion and fire erupted from the warehouse. Jason asked Elizabeth to phone the police. Jason kept watch from the window for Sonny to come out but he did not. Finally Jason went running down there to help.

2/14 Inside the burning warehouse, Sonny struggles to extricate himself but is pinned down by a fallen beam. As Johnny entreats the firefighters to save his boss, Jason dashes into the building and manages to pry Sonny free. Just as an anguished Carly begins to give up hope, Jason emerges from the smoke with Sonny in tow. Greatly relieved to see Jason in one piece, Elizabeth reluctantly allows Lucky to lead her away from the chaotic scene. Jason spies Rick reporting back on the night's events to Sorel and Carlos.

2/15 Elizabeth tells a startled Emily that her brother is back in town and played hero during the blaze at the warehouse. Jason phones Sonny and tells him the identify of the traitor in their midst. Outraged by Rick's betrayal, Sonny instructs Jason to make Carly's bodyguard pay for his treachery. Sonny, Johnny and Jason corner their enemies.

2/16 Sonny, Jason and Johnny caught Sorel and company. Sonny reamed out Sorel, then Carlos, then Rick and sent them on their way on a boat, accompanied by Jason.

2/19 On the Docks, Lucky and Jason argued about Elizabeth and Jason's intentions toward her. Lucky told him to stay away from Elizabeth. They nearly came to blows but Elizabeth and Emily came by and broke them up. Jason told Lucky how they used to be friends but he guessed that wasn't so anymore. Emily stood up for Jason and Elizabeth finally dragged Lucky away. Emily hugged Jason and said she understood how he couldn't let her know he was in town.

Later Jason, Johnny and another of Sonny's men brought Sorel to the docks and tied him up to a post, gagging him. They made a call to the PCPD and Mac and Taggert found him there and Mac arrested him for the murder of Ted Wilson.

2/20 Emily was working at Kelly's and Zander was keeping her company. As they were playfully kissing, her brother Jason walked in the door. He said excuse me can I get some coffee. She saw him and immediately ran over to give him a hug. Elizabeth and Lucky came down the steps. The room became filled with the tension caused by Lucky's anger towards Jason. Lucky started in on Jason and Emily tried to smooth things out. Lucky and Elizabeth leave and head over to Deception. Jason just looked surprised and shook his head as they left Kelly's.

Next in walked Monica and Alan. Monica was immediately overjoyed to see Jason and Alan was less, much less, thrilled. Monica tried to strike up conversation with Jason, but between Alan and then Edward walking in, it was just an impossible task. Monica assured Emily that they were not there to argue but just to visit and see how she was doing. Edward, however, could not control himself and started right in on Jason. Accusing him of every bad thing that has happened to the family. Monica asked him to stop and even Zander jumped in to silence Edward unsuccessfully. Taggert was the only reason they stopped. He came in with a warrant for Jason's arrest in connection with Sorel. As normal Jason went willing down to the station.

As they arrived back at Kelly's, Lucky asked Elizabeth not to see Jason ever again. She looked at him oddly and then told him that Jason would be around now to see his sister. Lucky said that things would be so much better for them if she would just stay away from Jason. Elizabeth finally conceded and told Lucky she would refrain from conversation with Jason and keep it down to hello and goodbye. Elizabeth looked wounded from Lucky's jealousy and would good reason. Their relationship is definitely headed for treacherous ground.

At the police station both Mac and Taggert tried to work Sonny and Jason to reveal more information. It was to no luck because you know how good the two of them are with silence. Alexis arrived quite punctually and demanded the release of her clients. Alexis got what she wanted. Mac had to release them because he really had nothing on them. Sonny and Jason signed the release forms and they were on their way. Alexis gave another warning to Mac not to harass her clients. Also she told him Sorel had not made any statement other than the ones to his attorney. She told Mac that he was skating on thin ice especially since the Mayor was upset about Felicia's involvement in police business. Needless to say Mac was less than thrilled about that particular dig.

2/21 Sonny asks Jason to fly to the island and bring Carly home to her son. Jason explains to Sonny why it would be impossible for him to make Carly hate her husband.

2/23 Jason went to see Lila and he was kneeling beside her chair when Monica walked in. She was happy to see him and said though she knew he was there to see his grandmother, could she have some time with him. She told him she didn't hold him responsible for Emily's choices no matter what Edward says. She said that Emily loves him and listens to him and she thinks they are trying to force her into a mould like they did him. "Aren't you?" Jason questioned.

Monica said that Emily was still just a child; what she wants is really not what she needs. Jason said he knew but she couldn't change the way Emily feels. He said they just had to give Emily time, she did love them. Alan came in and automatically asked what was wrong when he saw Jason. Monica asked if he couldn't just be glad to see Jason. Jason left the room with Lila and Alan asked Monica if she ever thought about the other Jason, the one that would be a doctor by now. She said she tried not to think about it.

Elizabeth went to tell Jason they couldn't be friends anymore. They were talking and she said she had a project to do for school, sketching someone in motion and asked if she could draw Jason playing pool. She did her sketch and then Jason was showing her how to play pool when Lucky walked in.

2/26 Lucky watched Elizabeth and Jason play pool for awhile till Jason, then Elizabeth, spotted him. He came over and asked how it was again that she was going to stay away from Jason. Elizabeth told Lucky it wasn't planned, it just happened. Lucky said it looked pretty cozy with Jason's arms around her. She tried to defend herself and Jason told Lucky to cool it. Lucky told Jason to butt out, it was between Elizabeth and him. He told Elizabeth if she meant it, tell Jason she can't see him anymore.

Lucky and Elizabeth argued some more about Jason; him demanding she stay away from him and her objecting to his demands. He said they had always been honest with each other till Jason had come along. She said she couldn't avoid him, they had mutual friends. Lucky said she could avoid Jason, they were leaving. She wouldn't go so Lucky left alone. Jason asked if she was okay. She said she should go after Lucky but he would expect an apology and she wasn't up for that right then. She told Jason she was hurting Lucky without meaning to. She said she could be herself when she was with him,Jason. They ended up going for a ride on his motorcycle.

2/27 Jason took Elizabeth out to the country to this old farmland. She was feeling very good after the ride, but Lucky was bound to come up in conversation. Elizabeth felt guilty because she lied to Lucky and she lied to herself. I needed an excuse to see you one last time. Jason questioned her actions because none of her reasons to stop seeing him made sense and least of all to her. The only reasons that we became friends is because I missed Lucky and you missed Robin; other than that we are nothing alike, Elizabeth said.

Jason told her that he could tell when people were lying and he could especially see it on her face. She told him that Lucky had been calling her a liar all day and not to start in on her. He asked then what is the word for saying something you don't feel or doing something that you don't want to do? Elizabeth answered love. You do what they need when you're in love even if it hurts you. What do you expect me to say Elizabeth? You saved my life. I want to make Lucky happy she said.

That's your choice, Jason said. He continued, I like riding with you. I like the way you yell when we ride fast. I like the way you think of things in pictures and try to explain them to me. Elizabeth asked why are you making this really difficult. I am so glad to know that it meant as much to me as it did to you. I loved being free Jason, but I love Lucky more. Do me a favor and please don't ask me any more questions that I can't answer. Just accept that I am doing this even though I don't want to and help me by staying away. Jason looked at her in disbelief and said, the thing is that you mostly came to me. Elizabeth could not respond to that and just said that she had to go. Jason looked wounded and sighed. He did not know what to say to her. He walked over to the bike and asked her if she wanted to go the cliff road or the regular road. Elizabeth chose the cliff route because she liked it and he said he knew that. It was so hard for Jason when Elizabeth got on the back of the bike and put her arms around him. You could tell by his facial expression that he was hurting and that he has some real feelings for her as she does for him. Jason dropped her off in the back of Kelly's.

Elizabeth started to take off the helmet and she told him thank you for the ride and walked away. Jason pulled her back to him on the arm and she began asking about the farm again. Emily rushed out of the door and said that she heard the motorcycle and thought it was Jason. Elizabeth just said goodbye Jason and left. Emily looked at her brother and knew that there was more going on than just friendship. She questioned him about Elizabeth and how close they were. He said she just wanted to know if they had slept together. Emily said that she would not ask that question it was prying. Jason said, but you still want to know though. He told her no that they had not. Emily tried to relay in her own way that she was sorry if Jason was hurting, but she did not want him to leave because Elizabeth was going back to Lucky. He told her that he was going to do what he wanted to do and Elizabeth was going to do what she wanted to do. He said, Emily you have not done anything so don't worry about this it is not your problem. She told him that she loved him and she really just wanted him to be happy.
