Jason & Sam #40 January 10 - May 1, 2019: 8 hour original edit
DVD #40A 1/10 Sam met Jason at the docks and said that she didn't know how she could still visit the place. He knew it was the site of bad memories for both of them, and she was ready to make better ones. Shiloh entered and asked Sam and Jason for help. He led them to a homeless man named Barney, who took shelter under a broken box. Shiloh needed help convincing Barney to go to one of Dawn of Day's shelters, as it was too cold out, and Barney didn't trust Shiloh. Sam knelt down and gently told the man that it was just one night, and he could always leave the shelter if he wanted to.
A few minutes later, Shiloh returned and thanked Sam for convincing Barney to go to the shelter. He wondered what he could do for her and Jason. "Drop the act," she said. Jason accused Shiloh of going after Sam, but Shiloh wondered why. Sam told him the story of marrying Shiloh's father under an alias, and he replied, "That was you?" He called it fate that he'd become acquainted with Kristina, but Sam dubbed it a "scam."
Shiloh explained that when he'd been younger, he'd been a troublemaker who'd burned through his inheritance too fast. When there had been nothing left in his or his father's names, he'd hit rock bottom, and he'd made money in "unsavory" ways. He'd ended up in Afghanistan, where Drew had saved him and given his life meaning.
Sam told him about the emails from Linda Black and accused him of digging into her past. He wondered if she thought a person could change. She did, but she wasn't sure about him. He hoped to get to know her better and to become her friend like he was Kristina's. He wished Sam and Jason "peace and fulfillment," and he left.
Sam complained that Shiloh hadn't let his guard down once, and he'd stuck to his story, which she'd "kind of bought." Jason had observed that Shiloh had fished for information so that he could do whatever he wanted. Jason thought that everything was connected, and Sam wondered what Shiloh was after. "Nothing good," Jason replied.
1/14 Jason and Sonny sat at a nearby table, and Jason asked Sonny if he'd ever heard about Shiloh. Sonny hadn't, and Jason filled him in on Shiloh's story. Jason mentioned that Shiloh was the leader of the house where Kristina had been living. Sonny was confused about the house having a leader, and Jason stated that Shiloh was in charge.
As Jason explained, Kristina walked in and saw them together. She couldn't believe that Jason was trying to get Sonny to worry. She sighed deeply and held her hands briefly in a prayerful position. She vowed not to give Jason and Sonny her power and said she would focus on positivity instead. She informed the men that she was picking up food for the soup kitchen and was both happy and safe.
Sonny pulled up another chair, and Kristina sat at the table. Sonny made it known that Jason had been telling him about the man at the house where Kristina lived but suggested she tell him about the man instead. Kristina proceeded to tell him more about Shiloh's past. Sonny and Jason believed Shiloh was too good to be true, and Jason insisted that he and Sam had only asked questions.
Kristina appreciated Jason and Sam looking out for her but considered them to be paranoid. She stood and hugged Sonny and announced that she had to go. After Kristina had gone, Jason continued to tell Sonny about the confrontation he and Sam had had with Shiloh. The man had claimed he hadn't known who Sam was, but Sam had been receiving emails related to her past that would have involved Shiloh. Sonny suggested that Shiloh could be using Kristina.
Jason wasn't certain but, he thought it was possible. Sonny knew that Kristina had a habit of always getting defensive when someone said something to her that she didn't agree with, and he needed to know if Jason learned anything more about Shiloh.
Alexis dashed into Charlie's Pub with a huge wrapped gift box. She happened to see Sam and informed her that the gift was for Kristina for her new home. Both women revealed that they had stopped by to see Kristina, who wasn't there. Sam admitted that she had a warning for her sister.
Alexis was disappointed to hear Sam say that because she had finally gotten rid of much of her stress over Kristina. Alexis took off her coat and sat at a table. She had thought that things were good with Kristina. Sam sat down and told her mother all about Shiloh and showed her a photo of him on her phone. She told her about Dawn of Day and the fact that Kristina really liked Shiloh.
Alexis wondered why Sam didn't like Shiloh, and Sam quickly asked what was in the box. Alexis wasn't falling for it, and Sam admitted that Kristina could be "in over her head." Sam started to talk, but Kristina walked inside and sarcastically noted that Sam and Jason were "on the same page." Jason was in the process of warning Sonny, she added.
Alexis quickly showed Kristina her present and explained that it was a new appliance for her new home. Kristina hugged her, and Sam apologized for how things had gone when she and Jason had met Shiloh. Kristina announced that she was there to pick up food for the soup kitchen, and Sam revealed that she had something to say that both Kristina and Alexis should know.
Sam confessed that, when she had been running her con, she had married Henry Archer, who had been Shiloh's father. She was afraid that Shiloh might be using Kristina. Alexis thought it was possible, but Kristina refused to believe that Shiloh would have any bad feelings. He had even mentioned it in his book.
Kristina was angry that her family members felt as they did and insisted that the past was "a bridge to betterment" for Shiloh -- just as Sam and Alexis were her bridges, Kristina added. Sam thought that Shiloh could be running a con, but Kristina insisted that Sam, Alexis, and Jason knew nothing about Dawn of Day. She suggested they take seminars, and she whipped out a pamphlet. She thought that "Loving without Judgment" would be good for Alexis.
Just then, Jason walked in. Kristina found another seminar that she thought would be appropriate for him and Sam, who was annoyed with her sister. Kristina told them they needed to explore, and she got up, thanked her mother again, and left. Alexis was pleased that they'd held a calm discussion, and she thought that Kristina hadn't been harmed in any way. Sam and Jason glared at Alexis, and they all agreed to attend a seminar.
1/17 Sam and Jason sat at the bar at Charlie's, and he asked if she needed a shot before she left. She replied that she needed to be sober to attend the seminar at Kristina's house. He wanted to go with Sam, but she thought that his presence would be suspicious to Shiloh. He told her to be careful and wished her luck, and she left. Just then, Jason's phone went off, and he saw a text from Drew that read, " Where are u? Need a favor."
A short while later, Drew joined Jason at Charlie's. Jason expressed his sympathy for Oscar's situation. Drew informed Jason that Oscar didn't have a lot of time left, and he was worried that Josslyn would cost Oscar time he didn't have by encouraging him to look for a cure that didn't exist. He asked Jason to talk to Carly about explaining the situation to Josslyn, and Jason agreed to talk to her. However, he believed that Drew didn't have to worry about Josslyn, because she would probably keep fighting to make whatever time Oscar had left the best it could be.
Sam arrived at Kristina's house, and Kristina excitedly greeted her sister. Sam asked about the seminar, and Kristina informed Sam that it was called "Unburdening Your Past." Shiloh entered to applause from the group in the house, and he thanked everyone for attending. He explained that everyone relived past memories, but to break the cycle, one had to recognize it to move on. He asked Daisy to assist him, and he wondered who was ready to "shed a painful memory."
A few minutes later, a man sat down, and Shiloh asked for another volunteer. Kristina raised her hand and sat down in front of Shiloh. He told her to close her eyes, and Daisy stepped forward to question Kristina. Through the questions, Kristina talked about her abusive relationship with Kiefer. She cried as Daisy forcefully told Kristina that Kristina hadn't left because she'd just been glad that Kiefer had been paying attention to her. "That's enough!" Sam yelled, running to her sobbing sister.
Sam scolded that Daisy was supposed to be Kristina's friend and that she had no idea about Kristina's relationship with Kiefer. Kristina insisted that it was all right, as the group had been helping her move on from the "shame." Shiloh ended the seminar to applause. Sam apologized if she'd embarrassed Kristina and insisted that she trusted Kristina if she said the group had been helping her. Kristina had chores to do, but she promised to see Sam soon and walked away.
Shiloh thanked Sam for attending and thought it had been good to see her. Sam questioned what made him qualified to run a self-help group about emotional trauma. He replied that everyone had darkness in their past, and she should understand that "more than most." He hoped that she would return, and she promised to. "This definitely isn't the last you'll see of me," she assured him, and she left.
1/22 At Kelly's Sam told Jason about the seminar and the scene that had followed at Dawn of Day house. She declared that Kristina's past had been dragged out of her for everyone to see. They were interrupted when Jason received an urgent call from Carly, who told him that Josslyn was in trouble.
Sam and Jason met up with Carly and Drew at Rice Plaza. Carly had heard about the catacombs from Cameron. Chase announced that all of the doors leading to the catacombs were still locked, and he thought perhaps the teens had used an alternate entrance somewhere. Drew and Chase locked horns over the police procedure. Carly told Jason and Sam about Lulu.
Sam figured that Josslyn and Oscar were probably underground because they couldn't reach them, and she thought she had an idea of another way in. She thought that Josslyn might be familiar with the cellar under the Black Duck, and Carly realized that Josslyn would know about it due to the redevelopment discussions they'd had at home. The group headed to the tunnel opening at the distillery.
Josslyn was willing to try to climb out again, but Oscar pleaded with her not to. Suddenly, they heard Carly's voice, and she and Drew peered down into the tunnel entrance. Josslyn told them what had happened, and Drew declared that Oscar couldn't wait for rescue to arrive.
Jason and Drew made their way down to the cellar, and there were hugs all around. Jason noted that the floor seemed loose, and Josslyn cried that she was sorry. Oscar wasn't feeling well, and he told his father he felt weak and had a headache. Drew managed to get Oscar to climb up the ladder, and he followed closely behind.
Jason gave Josslyn his jacket. She continued to be upset about Oscar, and Drew shouted that he was taking Oscar to the hospital. Oscar called down to Josslyn, and they both declared their love. Oscar thanked Sam for saving him. Down below, Josslyn informed Jason that the ladder was falling off the wall. He vowed to catch her if she fell.
Josslyn began to climb up the ladder. It pulled away from the wall, but she managed to get up to the top. She hugged Carly profusely, and Carly wanted to take her to the hospital, too. Sam announced that she would stay for Jason. Carly shouted down that the fire department was on the way. Josslyn thanked Jason for saving her, but Jason insisted she had saved herself.
After Josslyn and Carly had gone, Jason called up to Sam that he couldn't wait for the fire department. The floor seemed about to cave in. The ladder continued to pull away from the wall as Jason began to climb, and he fell to the floor.
1/23 Jason was sprawled unconscious in the tunnel he'd fallen into. He awoke and sat up in obvious pain. He turned on the flashlight on his cell phone and looked around. He called out to Sam, but he couldn't hear anything back. He told himself that someone had built the tunnel, so there had to be a way out. He spotted a grate on the far side of the room and looked in. A few minutes later, he'd gone through the grate.
Sam yelled down for Jason and pointed her flashlight down toward where he'd fallen. She couldn't see or hear him. As she heard sirens, she looked around for something to help Jason. Three firefighters entered, and she beckoned them toward where Jason had fallen. She told them about what had happened and paced as they went off to inspect the cellar.
A few minutes later, a firefighter updated her that they would need special equipment, as the hole was too deep. He assured her that they were working with city engineers, but it could take five or six hours to get Jason out.
When the firefighter was gone, Sam put a call in to Spinelli and asked him to look into the tunnels underneath the city. After a few minutes of searching, he finally found a schematic of a water system, circa 1910, underneath the Black Duck. He informed her that it let out near pier 55.
1/24 Sam arrived at the pier in a wetsuit with her scuba gear. She spotted Jason facedown in the water and dove in. She swam to him and eventually surfaced next to the pier with him. She helped a conscious Jason onto the pier and got herself up. She told him about how Spinelli had helped her locate where Jason would exit the tunnels. Jason said that he'd swum out into the harbor, but he'd been so cold that he had no longer been able to move his arms. "You saved my life," he stated in gratitude. "I guess I owed you one," Sam replied with a smile.
A few minutes later, Jason assured Carly on the phone that he was fine and with Sam. Carly asked him to "promise you're not dying," and she insisted that he put Sam on the phone. Sam reiterated that Jason wasn't dying, and Carly said that Sam needed to take care of him. "Of course, I will," she replied, and she hung up. Sam thought he needed to see a doctor, but he begged her, "not tonight." He promised that he would go straight home and take a hot shower, but she insisted that he go home with her.
Later, Sam handed Jason a glass of brandy after he got out of the shower. He promised to drink it if she took a shower, but she didn't want to leave him alone. She offered to make him food, but he threatened to carry her into the shower. She finally agreed and walked to the bathroom, and he took a sip of brandy. A short while later, Jason handed her a glass of brandy after her shower, and they sipped it together. "Pinch me," she said as they sat in front of the fire.
Sam told Jason about how often after his disappearance she'd dreamed that she'd actually saved him, only to wake up in the morning without him. "I'm here now," he told her. He thanked her for saving him, and they shared a kiss. They began to undress and moved to the bed, where they made love. Later, they lay in bed in each other's arms. "I love you. I missed you," Jason told her, and Sam repeated the sentiments.
1/25 Sam woke up and turned over to look at Jason. She touched his face, and he woke up. She apologized for waking him up, but she'd wanted to make sure that he was really there. They both expressed how happy they were and how much they loved each other.
A short while later, Sam descended the stairs and was impressed to find that Jason had made breakfast. She sat down with him, marveling over how "familiar and strange" it was to be eating breakfast with him. He informed her that he was supposed to meet with Spinelli, who'd flown in to work with Jason on finding out more about the Linda Black emails.
Jason's phone went off, and he told her that he had to meet Spinelli at Metro Court, as his flight had landed. Suddenly upset, she remembered that the last time he'd left, she hadn't seen him for five years. He promised to return, and he said that he would text her when he got to Metro Court safely. They shared a kiss, and he left.
Jason entered Metro Court. Just as he sent Sam a text message assuring her that he was all right, Carly spotted him and gave him a tight hug. He warned her that his ribs were sore, and she thought that he should go get checked out. He confided with a small smile that he was "better than I've been in six years." Carly gasped excitedly and gently hugged him, happy for Jason and Sam. "It's about time!" she added, reminding him that she'd been right about them.
Jason thanked Carly for believing in him and Sam. She admitted that she hadn't been crazy about Sam in the beginning, but Sam loved Jason for Jason. "She's almost worthy of you," she joked, taking Jason's hand. Jason's phone went off, and he read that Spinelli's plane was stuck on the tarmac, so he was there for no reason. "Except to tell your best friend the good news," Carly chimed in. She observed that he seemed "lighter," and he confirmed it. He told Carly that he was going to get back to Sam, and he left.
Sam typed out a text asking how Spinelli was doing, but she deleted the words, telling herself that, "I'm not that crazy." She cleaned up from breakfast while debating about whether or not to call Jason. She stopped herself again and sat down on the couch while staring at her phone on the table in front of her. Just then, the door opened, and Jason stepped inside. Sam ran to him and jumped into his arms. "I told you I'd come back," he said as he smiled.
1/28 At Dawn of Day house, Kristina sat comfortably in a chair, reading Shiloh's book. Shiloh walked in and asked for Kristina's forgiveness. He wanted to apologize for the way his seminar had turned out, causing her to be so upset. Kristina insisted that it had all been necessary in order for her to get better, and she thought it unfortunate that Sam had interfered.
Kristina declared that Sam needed a seminar because she didn't understand the ways of the house. Kristina informed Shiloh that his book had helped her, also, and she felt better. Shiloh thought that Kristina should have more compassion for Sam. He also thought that Kristina was strong like Sam and Alexis. He added that he'd met Kristina's mother. Kristina was horrified.
Shiloh admitted that he understood why both Sam and Alexis had been suspicious of him, and Kristina adamantly replied that she knew he hadn't been responsible for the emails to Sam. Shiloh responded that he loved Kristina's faith, but he wanted her to remember that when the truth emerged. He added that the mystery had been solved.
At Sam's penthouse, Sam apologized to Jason for her behavior. She hadn't been able to help being worried about him while he'd been out. "Here I am," Jason replied as the two shared a kiss. Sam admitted that she was happy and not normally superstitious, but she had been worried that something would take him away again.
Jason insisted that Sam not be afraid for him, and Sam replied that she wasn't. They sat on the sofa. Sam explained that she had been working hard to rebuild and to trust her instincts. Jason admitted that he didn't want to have to worry about her worrying, and Sam assured him that she felt more confident.
Jason grabbed Sam's hands and mentioned their great evening and even better morning. He had been happy to see her smiling at him, and he talked about how beautiful she was. He clarified that he meant that in many ways, such as in all the situations he'd seen her in or the things he'd seen her do. Sam giggled. Jason said he was lucky to love her and to have her love him. He promised to never take it for granted.
Sam and Jason kissed again and made the decision to head upstairs. When there was a knock at the door, Sam was insistent that they ignore it, but she finally gave in and opened it. Spinelli rushed in, happy to see them. He realized that he had interrupted them. Sam assured him that he hadn't, and they shared a hug. Jason revealed that Sam had saved him, thanks to Spinelli's information.
Spinelli removed his coat and announced that he'd checked further into Dawn of Day while he'd been stuck on the tarmac. He revealed that the emails that Sam had received had definitely originated at the Dawn of Day house. Sam's phone rang, and she answered the call. It was Kristina, who declared that she needed Sam right away.
After Sam was gone, Spinelli and Jason discussed Shiloh and the fact that he had been trying to get to Sam through Kristina. Spinelli told Jason about what he'd learned about Shiloh and the fact that he had not been spiritual when he'd been known as Hank Archer. Eventually, Hank had disappeared and had later reappeared as Shiloh.
Spinelli explained how much information he'd been able to obtain online. He finished his coffee, and Jason offered him another cup. Spinelli announced that he preferred to hear about Jason and Sam, but Jason was mute on the subject. Spinelli was excited until Jason told him what had happened to Lulu.
Sam arrived at Dawn of Day house and found Shiloh, Kristina, and Daisy. Shiloh announced that he had information after investigating the emails and obituary that had been sent to Sam. He felt responsible. Daisy cut him off and revealed that she had been the one to send them all. Sam asked if she had been digging around.
Daisy was sorry, but Sam accused Shiloh of forcing Daisy to take the blame. Daisy stood up for Shiloh and insisted that she had read his book and had pieced things together after talking to Kristina. Kristina ripped into Daisy and promised Sam that she hadn't gossiped. Daisy cried that she hadn't meant to do it. Sam didn't blame Kristina, but she glared at Shiloh.
Sam didn't think any of it made sense, but Daisy explained that she'd thought it would all make Sam more receptive to Dawn of Day. She added that everything had been easy to research, and she'd thought the signature of Linda Black would prove to be "intriguing." Kristina called it creepy, and she told Daisy off. Both girls stormed off.
Shiloh told Sam that Daisy hadn't been malicious but had done the wrong thing for the right reasons. He wondered how he could make it up to Sam. He grabbed Sam's hands and handed her a business card. He told her to call him if she needed anything at all from him.
1/29 Sam arrived home, and Jason told her that he had to get going, but they could get together later. She solemnly told him that they needed to break up. She explained that Kristina was in more trouble than she thought, so she needed to be single in order to give Shiloh "the opening he wants." She told him about Daisy's confession and that she believed that Shiloh had convinced Daisy that she was guilty. She lamented that Kristina had bought the whole thing.
Sam wanted to “out con the con," so she thought a breakup was the easiest way to convince Shiloh that she was vulnerable. She figured that she would tell everyone that she needed some time to herself to stand on her own, but she would confide in Shiloh that she couldn't stand on her own. She assumed that he would eagerly offer her "enlightenment and guidance," and she could figure out what Kristina had gotten herself into.
Sam called Shiloh and left him a message to call her back. Sam informed Jason that he could visit Danny there, but they needed to act like exes in public. She didn't want to lose him, so she suggested going up to the bedroom, since they weren't "officially broken up yet." They shared a kiss, and he picked her up and carried her upstairs.
2/4 Shiloh approached Sam at the Metro Court, surprised that she'd wanted to meet with him. He sensed that she still didn't trust him, and she responded, "Why would I?" She called him a fraud and told him that she didn't buy all of the coincidences surrounding them as fate. He informed her that, if she hadn't swindled his father, Shiloh would probably be dead. Sam replied that, if he was actually thankful, she wanted to tell him why she'd needed the money.
Sam teared up as she told Shiloh about her special needs brother Danny, and how the money she'd stolen had helped put him into a "great group home" where he'd been happy and safe. He handed her a napkin to wipe away her tears, but she refused it. He assured her that accepting a kind gesture was the opposite of weakness, so she took the napkin and wiped her eyes. He believed that she had post-traumatic stress from her past, and that Dawn of Day could help her if she let them.
Jason entered Charlie's and went over to Kristina. She asked Jason to tell Sam that she was fine with Dawn of Day. He sat at the bar and picked up a flyer for a Valentine's Day party, and she told him that Dawn of Day was hosting it to celebrate all the different ways love could be experienced. She related that the organization had changed her for the better, and she wondered why Sam and Jason still had a problem with Shiloh.
Jason explained that, while Kristina had had a safety since she was born, Sam hadn't had any help for most of her life. He continued that Sam had a hard time trusting that something could be a good thing without having a catch. Kristina believed that Shiloh could help Sam express the pain Sam carried so that it would no longer hold her back.
Jason and Sam met up at the hospital, and she admitted that she was scared about how "good" Shiloh was. She thought that the fact that Shiloh could almost get to her didn't bode well for what he was capable of doing to Kristina. Jason assured Sam that Kristina had he and Sam to help get her out of Dawn of Day, but they had to be smart about it.
2/5 Jason entered Metro Court, and Carly was happy to see him. He confided that Sam was breaking up with him, and Carly went on a tirade, deciding to call Sam. Jason stopped her just in time and told her about his and Sam's plan for infiltrating Dawn of Day for Kristina. She appreciated that someone was looking out for Kristina, as Sonny had enough to worry about. Jason also assured Carly that he and Sam were together privately, and she teased that sneaking around could be fun.
2/8 Jason found Sonny with Shiloh's book at the Metro Court bar. Jason admitted that while he'd read it, he hadn't believed a word of it. Sonny revealed that Alexis had claimed to have enjoyed the book, but he'd been worried about Kristina and her ties to Dawn of Day. Spinelli arrived and announced that he had been able to do some research on Shiloh from when he'd been known as Hank.
Spinelli explained that Hank had gotten into lots of trouble as a rich young man, but after he'd lost his financing, he had looked for other ways to make money. Once Shiloh had ended up in Afghanistan, his life had turned around after a series of events. Spinelli added that the story had checked out, and he could find nothing but "glowing endorsements" of Dawn of Day.
Sam knocked on the door at the Dawn of Day house. Kristina answered and was surprised to hear that Sam was there to see Shiloh. Sam took off her jacket and exclaimed that she was there to learn all about the group. Sam noticed that Kristina didn't seem thrilled, and she admitted that she'd thought Kristina would be happy. Sam knew how important the house was to her.
Shiloh noted that Kristina had other tasks to perform and would be leaving him and Sam. Kristina mentioned that she had plans to meet Sonny, also. Shiloh spoke lovingly about the group, and Sam mentioned that she thought that Shiloh seemed paternal. She wondered about Shiloh's family, but he stated that the group members were his family.
Sam wondered if Shiloh had ever thought about settling down, but when he turned it back to her and asked why she hadn't settled down with Jason, Sam snapped that it was none of his business. Shiloh maintained that he studied the intentions of human behavior and had helped Kristina to break down her barriers. He thought he could do the same for Sam.
"Tell me why I can't settle down," Sam agreed. Shiloh thought her issue could be traced to the fact that she'd always been abandoned by those she'd loved. He proceeded to tell Sam all he knew about her life, and he added that Kristina admired her sister and had shared that history with him. Sam was annoyed that Shiloh was so familiar with her personal life, but he indicated that Kristina had been concerned about Sam.
Shiloh suggested that Sam's desire for associating with dangerous men was based on that history, also. He handed her his book to read, and he suggested that Sam attend the Valentine's Day event that the group would conduct. He called it a new beginning. He helped her on with her jacket, and she thanked him for the tour.
Spinelli continued to talk to Jason, and he stated that he was unable to find out much information on the organization. He showed Jason a photo of Shiloh with a woman who had been Shiloh's "closest ally" at one time. He identified her as Harmony, formerly known as Lorraine Miller. She and Shiloh had worked together, and the last home they'd opened had been in Beechers Corners. Sonny joined Spinelli and Jason, they wondered about the woman with Shiloh, and Jason voiced his intention to take a ride to Beechers Corners.
Kristina returned to Dawn of Day before Sam's departure. Sam announced her decision to attend the Valentine's Day event. "Fantastic," Kristina said, although she clearly didn't mean it.
2/11 Jason met with Harmony in a Beechers Corners café in order to try to get some background on Dawn of Day. He explained that he was there on behalf of someone. They sat down at a table. Harmony revealed that her real name had been Lorraine, but she had never liked it. She added that she had created a "bridge to her true self," and Dawn of Day had opened her mind and heart to their potentials.
Harmony also disclosed that she and Shiloh had built the community center in Beechers Corners "from the ground up." Jason asked about Harmony and Shiloh not being together, and Harmony stressed that they were in business only. Shiloh had wanted to expand their business and had gone to Port Charles because he'd felt the city had needed an outreach program after the earthquake.
Jason asked about a family, but Harmony clarified that Dawn of Day was her family. "Life is work," she said. Jason maintained that the girl he represented was naďve and had appeared to be getting too attached to Shiloh and developing feelings for him. He wondered how that would be handled. Harmony replied that Shiloh was a normally warm and expressive person who was misunderstood.
Jason wanted to make sure that the girl wouldn't be hurt. Just then, a cop walked in and announced that after running Jason's plates, he'd learned that Jason was wanted for murder. Jason quickly assured him that the charges had been dropped, but the cop insisted that Jason had parked too close to a handicapped spot and would have to move immediately.
Harmony jumped up and assured the cop, Billy, that she and Jason were about finished. Billy left, and Harmony concluded that her community was a great one, thanks to Dawn of Day. Jason declared that he'd heard enough and had learned a lot. Harmony wondered if Jason had scars from being falsely accused of murder, but he told her he did not.
Carly welcomed Sam to the Metro Court bar and explained that she wanted to support Sam's breakup with Jason. Drew walked over and explained Oscar's latest condition to Sam after Carly mentioned the good news. Drew added that he was about to have a meeting with Shiloh because he wanted to help. He noted that he would be "friendly back" to Shiloh. Carly hoped that Drew would be able to get some leverage against Dawn of Day's leader.
Sam and Carly moved to a table and talked about Sam's kids. Sam handed Carly a valentine that Danny had made for her and Sonny. Sam admitted that Danny was a lot like his father, both fearless and sweet. Carly thought it would be difficult for Sam to hide her true feelings for Jason. Sam agreed, but she divulged that she would have to make herself look vulnerable in order for Shiloh to get "a taste of his own medicine."
Carly suggested that Sonny could tell Shiloh to leave town, but Sam thought that wouldn't work out well with Kristina. Sam explained that Shiloh expected women to fall for him, but she was an experienced con and would be able to handle him. Sam stressed that she was familiar with the type of guy who used women and ruined their self-esteem.
Sam felt bad about lying to Danny regarding her relationship with Jason. She complimented Monica on her support, and Carly turned her nose up. Sam explained that Carly and Monica were actually similar because they were women who both loved their families. Carly declared that Sam was the same way, and she thought that Sam and Jason should be together on Valentine's Day. Sam emphasized that she had plans, and Shiloh would be expecting her. She planned on getting some wisdom at his event in order to get Kristina out of the house.
Jason returned to Metro Court and informed Carly that her bartender was a member of DOD. Carly replied that she couldn't fire him for that, but she was worried because Jason needed a safe place to be with Sam. She told him she was in a frenzy, having learned that the clothing drive she'd participated in with Josslyn had been run by DOD.
Jason assured Carly that she had nothing to worry about with Josslyn but that Kristina was the one who could be in trouble. He needed to have Shiloh distracted and pressured, and he admitted that he'd learned about how DOD worked. He just had to be able to "take it down."
2/13 Sam and Jason left his bedroom, both wishing that she didn't have to leave, but she had to meet up with Kristina and Alexis. Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Shiloh announced himself. Jason and Sam stayed still and quiet. Jason turned his ringtone down as Shiloh called him. They heard as Shiloh left a message from the other side of the door that Kristina had given him Jason's number. He talked about how Jason's trip to Beechers Corners had been unnecessary, because Jason could just ask Shiloh anything he wanted to know.
When Shiloh was gone, Sam called the situation "creepy," and Jason knew that Shiloh had wanted to send a message that Jason was on his radar. Sam thought that Shiloh wanted to tell Jason not to interfere, since Shiloh thought that he was "pulling" Sam in. Sam realized that Shiloh knew where Jason lived, so they couldn't meet there anymore. Jason revealed that he'd picked the apartment for its many ways in and out of the building. Sam had to go, so he wished her luck and kissed her, and she left.
Kristina tried to convince Alexis to attend the Dawn of Day Valentine's Day celebration, but Alexis replied that she would be at home on the couch. Sam arrived and commented that if she was attending, Alexis could, too. A surprised Alexis wondered if Sam was going with Jason, but Sam reluctantly revealed that she and Jason weren't together. She explained that Jason was too set in his ways and didn't want to change, while Sam believed that she still had a lot of "self-discovery" to do. She thought that their lives were going on different paths.
Kristina commended Sam on the "huge step to enlightenment," but Alexis second-guessed it. Sam related that Jason thought it was temporary, which was why she'd decided to go to Dawn of Day that night. She mentioned that Shiloh had wanted her there, and Kristina instantly reminded her that it wasn't a big deal, as he would invite anyone. Alexis mentioned that she was seeing a new therapist but balked at her daughters' questions.
Kristina left to help set up the Dawn of Day house, and when she was gone, Alexis wanted the real story on Sam and Jason's breakup. Sam promised not to ask about Alexis' therapist if Alexis didn't ask about the breakup, and Alexis agreed. She only advised Sam to be careful and to be mindful that Kristina had found peace and new friends. Sam promised that she would never hurt Kristina and that everything she was doing was for Kristina.
Shiloh watched as the Dawn of Day house was decorated for the celebration. Jason entered the house, and Shiloh was surprised that Jason had responded to his message so quickly. Jason said that he'd found Harmony "helpful," and he commented on how even the cops were friends in Beechers Corners.
Shiloh responded that they appreciated the positive influence Dawn of Day had had in the community. Jason wondered why Shiloh had left such perfection for Port Charles and suggested that Shiloh wanted to expand his visions to the world. Shiloh laughed that world domination was not in his plans.
Shiloh insisted that he wasn't hiding anything, and he offered to help Jason move past the "obstructions" between him and Sam. Jason accused Shiloh of being interested in Sam, but Shiloh was proud that Sam was taking the "first steps" toward enlightenment. He invited Jason to join them and walk the path to his best life or to continue "walking the same old path your entire life. That path is a dead end." "I'll take my chances," Jason shot back, and he left.
2/14 It was Valentine's Day in Port Charles. At Jason's apartment, he and Sam shared a kiss. Sam handed him a handmade card from Danny and Scout and admitted that she was sad not to be able to spend the day with him. She was aware that Jason wasn't a fan of Valentine's Day, but she had been looking forward to being with him. She informed him that she still had some time before she had to leave.
Sam and Jason grew affectionate again, but they were interrupted when Spinelli arrived. He asked if he was interrupting something, but Sam took it as her cue to go. Spinelli advised her to be careful because, after some investigation, he thought that Shiloh might be dangerous.
"How dangerous?" Jason asked after Sam had gone. "Murderously so," Spinelli replied. He revealed that he had done further investigating on Shiloh's father and had learned that the man had applied for a patent and had been on his way to another fortune when he had unexpectedly passed away. It seemed that the brakes had failed on the man's new car.
Shortly after, Spinelli announced that he had arranged to fly home to spend Valentine' Day with Ellie, but he promised to check further on Shiloh's father. Jason told him to tell Ellie that "we" said hello, and Spinelli gushed that he liked the sound of that.
At the Dawn of Day house, Shiloh commended Kristina on the decorations for their event. He wondered when Sam would get there, and he asked that he be told as soon as she arrived. When Sam arrived, Shiloh handed her one of his books and was surprised to hear Sam say that she had already read it. She thought there had been something missing because it hadn't said anything about Shiloh's family. They sat down in a corner.
Sam asked whether Shiloh had ever had someone that he'd wanted to settle down with. Shiloh admitted that his father's experience had turned him off, and Sam assumed that he was referring to her con of the older man. Shiloh assured her it wasn't the only reason, but he'd had to find peace within himself. He thought Sam should do the same.
Shiloh put his hands on both sides of Sam's face and told her to close her eyes. He spoke softly of past road blocks, an imagined future, and the present. He gently massaged as Sam responded to his questions in an appropriate manner. Kristina looked on unhappily.
Sam opened her eyes and saw Kristina. Awkwardly, she advised Shiloh that she had to leave. She didn't want to step on Kristina's toes, but she promised to return another time. Shiloh glared at Kristina and informed her that Sam had left abruptly. Kristina admitted that she had been bothered seeing Shiloh and her sister together.
Sam phoned Jason outside of the DOD house to tell him she was picking up the kids. She shared that things had been creepy and weird in the house, especially with Shiloh getting people to do things for him. She believed that Kristina had feelings for Shiloh. Jason wished Sam a happy Valentine's Day, and she teased him, knowing how much he disliked the day.
Sam surprised Jason when she returned to his place. He asked about the kids, and she told him they had been asleep, so she hadn't disturbed them. They kissed and went to bed together. Sam noticed the pink roses, and Jason admitted he'd bought them. Sam confessed that she was right where she wanted to be, and he divulged that he finally understood Valentine's Day. It was "not taking love for granted."
2/19 Shiloh was sitting in the Floating Rib when Sam entered and sat with him. He admired her loyalty to Kristina and commented that most of the people who found Dawn of Day were there because they had no support system. He apologized for his preconceived notions of Sam before he'd met her, and she replied that he, of all people, should know that people were capable of changing.
He wanted to get to know her better, and he wanted her to see that he wasn't a threat to Kristina. Shiloh wanted Sam to take a trip with him, as there was something she needed to see to understand. He wouldn't tell her where, so she didn't know if she should go. He urged her to follow her instincts, as they would help her make the correct decision.
At the pier, Jason's phone went off, and he saw a text from Spinelli that read, "Have found more disturbing information RE Dawn of Day. Come ASAP!!!" Sam arrived and wondered what he was doing there. "Getting air. You?" he asked. She answered that she'd lost something that she thought was there. He offered to help her look and pulled her behind a wall, and they shared a kiss.
When they pulled apart, Jason asked Sam what Shiloh had wanted. "To chat me up," Sam replied, and she told him that Shiloh wanted to take her on a trip. Jason thought it was a bad idea, but she wanted to go while Jason figured out what was next with Spinelli. He protested, but she explained that Shiloh liked to talk, so she was confident she would get all the information they needed. As a result, she was happy that they would no longer have to pretend not to be together, and she hugged him.
2/20 PROMO
2/21 Harmony sat with Shiloh at a café, and he was surprised to see her. She confided that she needed to warn him that "an impish fellow" had questioned her about Dawn of Day. She supposed that it was a private investigator sent by Jason, and she was determined not to let Shiloh "bring everyone down" with him. "Your arrogance will be our downfall," she added.
She instructed him to leave Port Charles and stay out of Jason's way, but he thought that she needed to go back to Beechers Corners and stop worrying. Shiloh thought that he would be fine as long as he kept Sam close to him, and he informed Harmony that he would be taking Sam to "the tower." Harmony thought he was tempting fate, but he insisted that he knew what he was doing. "I hope you do," she said, and she stormed off.
Sam and Jason met up at the pier, and he told her that he would be "tailing" her and Shiloh. He updated her about a "major incident" Spinelli had uncovered from the Beechers Corners chapter of Dawn of Day. He said that, after a heated argument with Shiloh, a follower had quit, and he'd been found dead in a nearby motel. The cause of death had been a drug overdose, and Shiloh had been the prime suspect until one of his followers had confessed to the murder. Sam correctly guessed that the confessor had been a young woman, as Shiloh clearly had a history of manipulating women.
Jason promised to follow Sam every step of the way through a GPS tracker on her phone, and he was surprised that she easily agreed. She handed her phone to him, and they shared a kiss. As he handed her phone back a few minutes later, it rang, and she answered it to Shiloh. He asked to meet her at Metro Court, and they would leave from there. He wondered if she was having second thoughts, and she denied it. She told him that she was excited to see whatever he was taking her to see, and he insisted that it would change her life.
2/22 Jason and Sam met at the pier to discuss Sam's further investigation of Shiloh. Sam admitted that she was willing to go with Shiloh in order to get him to trust her, but Jason stressed that she had to make certain that Shiloh wasn't "playing" her. Jason synchronized their phones for tracking purposes. Sam assured him that she could take care of herself and would keep her eyes open.
Sam and Shiloh met at the bar, and Sam introduced Shiloh and Carly. Sam asked Shiloh where they were going, but he told her it was a surprise. He spouted off about trusting others and then being able to trust oneself. He thought that he would be able to make Sam's doubts about Dawn of Day disappear.
Sam and Shiloh walked into a dark and abandoned lighthouse. Shiloh revealed that they were in a town called Burke Lake near Lake Ontario. He explained that he'd found the town and the tower after Afghanistan. He held out his hand, and Sam reluctantly took it. They headed up the winding staircase to the top. Shortly afterward, Jason walked in and looked around.
As Shiloh turned to open the window, Sam secretly pulled her phone from her pocket and contacted Jason in order for him to listen to her conversation. Shiloh spoke about finding the place, falling asleep, and waking up to the brilliant light of the breaking dawn. He'd realized what he'd had to do to ensure that other people saw the light.
Shiloh wanted Sam to experience the light, and he expected her to spend the night in order to see the dawn's light. Then, she would know her path. Shiloh closed the window. Sam was hesitant. She told him that sunrise would be hours away, and she had her children to think about. Shiloh noted that Sam's kids were with their grandmother, but Sam added that things were moving too fast. Shiloh asked Sam to spend the night with him. Downstairs, Jason grabbed his gun and, slowly and quietly, headed up the stairs.
Drew and Jason suffered attacks at the same time. Jason had difficulty seeing, and he tumbled down the stairs noisily, landing at the bottom. Shiloh and Sam raced downstairs. Drew suddenly couldn't focus as he began to drive. He slumped over the steering wheel, and his car ran into Jordan.
2/25 Sam and Shiloh sat in the hospital as she waited to check on Jason and Drew, "for my kids." Shiloh wondered how Jason had found them, and she figured that he'd followed her. Shiloh feared that Jason had been about to shoot when he'd passed out, as the gun had been sitting next to him, but Sam explained that it had probably fallen out of Jason's waistband.
Shiloh was sorry that Jason seemed so possessive of her, and he could see that she'd gotten over Jason, even if he hadn't gotten over her. He thought there would be plenty more opportunities to see a sunrise at the tower. He excused himself to go back to the Dawn of Day house, and he promised to see her soon.
At the hospital, Jason opened his eyes and saw Carly at his bedside. She was happy to see that he was all right, but she demanded that he stay there until he was cleared by doctors. Anna entered, and she told Jason and Carly about the virus, Arthur, and his connection to Andre. When she was gone, Carly observed how Anna liked Jason, and Jason thought Carly was jealous. He assured her that she was the one who'd been there when he'd woken up, just like he would do for her.
Jason wondered how Carly had known to go to the hospital, and she revealed that Sam had texted her. She confided that she'd been scared, as he was her best friend, and she would really need him for "the next seven months." He wondered what was going on, and she disclosed that she was pregnant.
A surprised Jason wondered where Sonny was, and Carly told him that Sonny was traveling to Turkey to get Dante. Jason wanted to go, but Carly insisted that she needed him there to help control her stress. Jason agreed and wondered how she was feeling. She replied that she was nervous, surprised, and "really excited." Jason thought the baby was a "lucky kid."
There was a knock on the door, and Sam quickly entered the room. She kissed Jason and told him how "freaked out" she'd been when she'd found him passed out. Carly thanked Sam for letting her know about Jason, but she wondered how far Sam was going to take things. Sam replied that she needed to get Kristina out of Dawn of Day, and Carly argued about Jason's safety. As the disagreement escalated, Jason told Sam that Carly couldn't stress because she was pregnant.
The argument was suddenly defused, and Sam excitedly hugged Carly and congratulated her. Carly replied that it was early, and she asked Sam to keep it a secret. The women apologized to each other, and Carly excused herself. When she was gone, Jason and Sam wanted details from each other about the night before. Sam told him that she'd heard him fall, and Shiloh thought she was grateful to him for staying with her at the hospital all night. She continued that she needed Jason's help to keep going, and he agreed. They shared a kiss just as Shiloh peeked into the room.
2/26 Sam leaned over to kiss Jason as he lay in his hospital bed. He squeezed her arm and gave her a look, and Sam pulled away and slapped him. Shiloh was standing in the doorway. Sam reprimanded Jason and told him that things were over between them, and she wanted nothing to do with him. Kristina arrived and witnessed Sam shouting. Sam stormed out of the room with her sister following closely behind.
Shiloh walked over to Jason's bedside and told him that while he was happy that Jason's eyesight had been restored, he wanted Jason to let Sam go because she had moved on. Shiloh also thanked Jason for showing up at the tower because it had enlightened Sam about him. He also accused Jason of trespassing, and Jason asked if he should call his lawyer. Shiloh added that he was Sam's new protector, and he thought that Jason should "proceed accordingly" and listen to his warning.
Sam and Kristina took a seat in the hospital corridor. Sam confessed that things had grown clearer since her visit with Dawn of Day, and she had realized that Jason would never put her first. Kristina couldn't believe that she had never noticed the way Jason had behaved or treated Sam. She'd always thought they were perfect together.
Kristina admitted that she could see how Jason tended to withdraw whenever Sam didn't do what he wanted her to do, and he had been the one to determine how their relationship would go. "You're not alone," Kristina told her sister. She added that the DOD community had Sam's back.
After Sam and Kristina had their conversation, Kristina returned to Jason's room to retrieve Shiloh. She stopped to tell Jason that she had appreciated him saving her, but Sam was better off without him. Kristina and Shiloh left.
3/1 Carly spotted Jason at the hospital and inquired if he'd been released. He showed his release papers to her as proof, and she thanked him for staying until he'd been cleared. She asked about Sam, and he told her about the fight they'd had to stage for Shiloh. Carly understood their plan, but she conceded that Shiloh was "slick" and fake. She was worried about Sam, but Jason thought that avoiding stress was more important for Carly.
Carly talked to Jason about Franco's interview, and she told him that something had stuck out to her. She'd read the transcript, and he'd bragged that he was a better murderer than "Ryan Chamberlain, a.k.a. Todd Wilson." She remembered that the name of the man next to her at Ferncliff had been Wilson, and she wondered if there was a connection. Jason urged her to call Spinelli, because he didn't want her to do anything herself. He didn't think it was worth the risk.
3/4 In the parking garage, Ryan posing as ”Kevin" looked at his collection of licenses, put them back in the box, and tossed them in the trunk of his car. When he closed the trunk, Carly was standing behind him. "I can't help but notice what you've got in your trunk," Carly observed. “
A suitcase," she added to an anxious "Kevin." She obviously didn't think it was a good idea for him to elope with Ava, but she had a few questions about Wilson Ritter before he left. She wondered if it could be a pseudonym for Todd Wilson, Ryan's alias.
Carly continued that she'd seen someone who had looked like Kevin in the hall at Ferncliff, but "Kevin" convinced her that she'd manufactured a friendly face out of overmedication and emotion. She vowed to keep searching and promised to keep "Kevin" updated.
"You might be onto something," he told her. A short while later, "Kevin" closed his trunk and cleaned blood off of a tire iron. Ava entered, and told him that it was time to start their lives together, and she got in the car. "Kevin" opened the trunk to put their suitcases in, and a bound and unconscious Carly was crammed in the trunk. He moved her over to fit the suitcases in, closed the trunk, and got into the car.
3/5 Shiloh asked Kristina about Jason, and Kristina supposed he was out of the hospital. She hadn't realized how "taxing" Jason had been on Sam, and she was happy that Shiloh's teachings seemed to be working for Sam. Shiloh smiled widely.
Shiloh asked if Kristina was ready for the next phase of her enlightenment. She confirmed that Michael had loaned her the money, but she was repaying him with interest. A few minutes later, Kristina was gone, and Shiloh took a tablet out of the drawer. He booted it up, and there was a strange symbol as the background image. He muttered that he had "big plans" for Kristina's future.
At Sam's, she and Jason discussed how fast Jason had gotten the kids to sleep, and she asked him to help her clean up the mess of toys. He mentioned how Danny had wanted to do a project with both of his parents, and he related that he and Sam spending less time together was starting to affect Danny. She assured him that it was temporary but suggested that she should halt her plan. Jason countered that they could find a way to compromise, as Shiloh really believed that he'd charmed Sam. Just then, Jason remembered that he was supposed to meet Carly, so he hugged Sam and left.
A short while later, Sam was surprised to open her door to Daisy. Daisy explained that she knew her actions had been "horrible and cruel," and she'd accepted responsibility for them. Sam invited her in, and she asked for Sam's forgiveness. She was supposed to acknowledge who her actions had affected the most, and she couldn't move on until she had Sam's forgiveness. Sam forgave Daisy, and an ecstatic Daisy hugged Sam and asked, "How can I repay you?"
Daisy began to help Sam clean up the toys in the living room and, as she bent over, Sam caught sight of a tattoo on Daisy's back. She asked Daisy what the symbol, which was the same as the one on Shiloh's tablet, meant. Daisy claimed that she didn't know, as she'd done "a lot of stupid stuff" when she'd been younger. She anxiously excused herself and hoped to see Sam around the Dawn of Day house. When Daisy was gone, Sam drew the symbol on a pad of paper.
Jason arrived at the hospital parking lot and called Carly. He heard a phone ringing, and saw a phone on the ground. He picked it up and realized that it was Carly's phone. Clearly terrified, he called out for her.
3/6 Jason rushed into the hospital and asked a nurse if Carly was a patient. She did a quick search and informed him that Carly had not been admitted. Jason left a message with Olivia and saw Kevin as he was wheeled in.
Later, Jason knocked on the door and announced that he was looking for Ava. He revealed that Carly was in trouble. Julian didn't have anything to tell him, and Jason snapped that he would hold Julian responsible if Carly was hurt. Kim revealed that Ava and Kevin had been headed to Niagara Falls. Jason ran into Laura outside of Charlie's Pub. She demanded that he take her with him and threatened to tell Sonny if he didn't.
3/7 Laura and Jason headed to Niagara Falls. Laura received a phone call from Chase, who told her that Kevin was on his way into surgery and doing well. Laura replied that she was with a friend, and she related the details of her trip. Jason told Laura all he knew about Carly's time in Ferncliff and the patient next door to her at the time. He'd learned about the man called Todd Wilson, and Carly had had questions.
Jason added that Carly and Ryan had been at the hospital at the same time, and he'd only found her phone. Jason assumed that Ryan had either locked Carly up at the hospital or taken her somewhere. He contemplated Laura's question about another alternative, and he replied that he refused to consider that Carly might be dead.
In the car, Laura reminded Jason that she had been the one to ask for a ride, and she wanted him to know that what he ended up doing was none of her business. She answered a phone call from Elizabeth who disclosed that Cameron had run into Ryan in Niagara Falls.
At the hotel near Niagara Falls, Ava peered into the trunk (looking for her shoes) and was shocked to see an unconscious and gagged Carly inside the car trunk. "Carly?" Ava called out. Carly slowly opened her eyes. "Oh, my God, what is happening?" Ava wondered. Suddenly, "Kevin" was standing behind her. "Surprise," he said.
Ava declared that she didn't understand. "Kevin" told her to go back to the room, and he would handle everything. He wanted her to trust him. Ava backed away, turned, and ran back to their room. "Kevin" slammed the car trunk shut.
Inside the motel room when “Kevin” returned, Ava asked about Carly, and "Kevin" told her to think of Carly as a wedding present for his bride to be. "Kevin" declared that Carly had been "all wrapped up and ready to go." Ava backed away again as "Kevin" apologized. He wanted Ava to assume that he had done it to help her in some way. He thought they could deal with everything related to Port Charles after their wedding. Ava poured another drink for him. "Kevin" revealed that Carly was on her way.
"Kevin, what have you done?" Ava asked. "Kevin" stated that he'd last seen Carly about five miles east. When Ava asked if he had dropped her off, "Kevin" replied, "In a manner of speaking." He thought that Carly was perfectly capable of taking care of herself, and his priority was to get married.
Laura and Jason arrived at the motel, and he ordered her to remain in the car. He removed a gun from the glove compartment and made his way to Ryan's room. The door was slightly ajar, and he kicked it open. He pointed the gun as he walked inside.
Meanwhile, an unconscious Carly lay on the snow-covered ground where “Kevin” dumped her.
3/8 Sam sat down at the bar at Charlie's Pub and offered to take Kristina out. Kristina pointed out that she was working, and they could spend time together at the bar. Sam admitted that she'd been taking things harder than Jason, who had Carly to keep him busy. Sam claimed that, because of Carly, it had been awhile since she'd seen Jason, and Kristina agreed that Jason was unable to commit.
Sam maintained that it had been difficult to detach from her relationship. Kristina was certain that Shiloh would be able to help, and she thought it would be easier on the bank account. Sam frowned as she asked about the courses and the people who had taken them. Kristina admitted it was an inner circle, although Shiloh wouldn't care for the term.
As Kristina went to take an order from someone's table, Sam made a quick call to Jason and left him a voicemail. She told him about the expensive upper level courses that only certain people were able to take.
Jason entered Ryan and Ava's room in Niagara Falls with his gun drawn, but the room was empty. Laura followed him inside. Jason thought that the couple might have headed to the nearby footbridge in order to get to Canada quickly. Meanwhile, Carly lay unconscious in the snow.
At the Niagara River, as Ava and Kevin started off, a shot rang out. Jason and Laura were behind them. Jason had shot "Kevin" in the shoulder.
Dvd #40B Kristina returned to work behind the bar, and Sam told her that Daisy had stopped at her place to ask for forgiveness. Sam thought Daisy had been desperate, but she had forgiven her. Michael and Sasha sat at the bar, and Michael introduced her to Kristina and Sam. Michael tossed a large tip down on the bar, and he urged Kristina to keep it, or he'd put it to her loan.
Sam was troubled when she heard Michael mention Kristina's loan. Maxie went to visit with Nina, who sat with a large book full of notes for her wedding. Valentin stopped to sit with Peter and asked about Maxie. He noted that as long as she was happy, that was all that mattered. Sasha and Michael continued to make small talk at the bar about environmental issues.
Ava began to scream at Jason, and she told him that "Kevin" had been having a breakdown. Laura shouted that he was Ryan Chamberlain, and Ava refused to believe her. Laura assured her that Kevin was back in Port Charles. Jason fired his gun again, and he threatened to shoot Ryan between the eyes. Ryan told them all to be quiet, or they wouldn't find out what had happened to Carly.
Ava announced that Carly was somewhere five miles east of their hotel and in bad shape. The sirens in the distance were growing close. Ryan wanted Ava to be quiet, but she didn't want to be held responsible. Ryan grabbed Ava's coat and kissed her. He threw her and himself over the bridge. Laura screamed.
3/11 Note: I missed this one, copy I got from a friend is darker than normal, and nighttime scenes make this worse. Laura and Jason looked over the bridge, and Jason pulled Ava up. Two police officers entered as Ava yelled out for "Kevin." Jason briefly explained the situation to the cops, but Laura told him she could finish so that Jason could go find Carly.
Jason called Spinelli and told him to look at a map of the area around the motel and find a road leading five miles east parallel to the river. "Somewhere where you can dump a body," he said solemnly.
Carly climbed all the way up and reached for the top when Jason was suddenly there and grabbed her arm. He pulled her up to safety, and she wondered how he'd found her. "I'll always find you," he replied.
3/12 Carly woke up in the hospital with Jason at her bedside and said that she "hurt all over." Jason assured her that the obstetrician had been there, and the baby was all right. "You saved us," Carly murmured. She wanted to know everything Jason knew about Ryan, so Jason told her that Ryan had been her neighbor at Ferncliff, and he'd switched places with Kevin around Labor Day weekend. She kicked herself for not seeing the clues, but she knew that she'd been getting close, which was why Ryan had abducted her. She wondered if he was mad at her, but he was just glad she was alive. Jason told her all about how he'd found her.
A short while later, Josslyn was sitting outside Oscar's room when Jason happened upon her. She wondered if Carly had sent him, and he replied that Carly had no idea she was there. Jason wondered why she was there, and she told him about the trip, including Oscar's seizure. She revealed that she was going to wait until she got home to explain it to Carly, but Jason replied, "You don't have to.” (Not aired is Jason tells Joss that Carly is in the hospital and she goes to visit her mom. It will feel like something is missing as I did not add the Carly & Josselyn scenes).
Jason handed a smoothie to Carly. She put it down, and Jason asked about Josslyn. Carly replied that Josslyn was "freaked out" that Carly was pregnant; she added that Josslyn was going home with Kim and Drew. Carly cried that she'd almost given up the night before, and she'd thought that she was going to die at the bottom of the embankment. She was grateful that Jason had saved her, but she wasn't surprised. "As long as I'm breathing, if you need, I'll find a way to get to you," Jason vowed. "I know," she said, holding his hands.
3/13 Jason was pleasantly surprised to find Sam sitting in his apartment when he arrived home from Canada. The couple embraced, and Sam asked about Jason's search for Carly. He removed his jacket and told her that Ryan had been Carly's original neighbor at Ferncliff and had switched places with Kevin. He proceeded to tell her about the trip with Laura that had led them to Niagara Falls. He added that Carly and her baby were doing okay.
Sam revealed that things with Kristina had gotten worse. She and Jason sat on the couch, and Sam filled Jason in on Daisy's visit to ask for forgiveness and the strange tattoo that she had seen on Daisy's back. It had appeared that Daisy had been trying to make amends, but after Sam had spotted her tattoo, Daisy had seemed flustered and had fled the penthouse quickly.
Sam thought the tattoo had something to do with Dawn of Day, and she showed Jason the sketch that she'd made from memory. Daisy had not been able to provide any information on her tattoo, only that she had thought it to be cool. Sam revealed that she'd also learned that Kristina had borrowed money from Michael to pay for DOD classes, and Sam didn't think Michael had been aware of where the money would be going.
Sam thought that Kristina was getting deeper into DOD. Later, she played a video of Shiloh's rally from earlier that day. "Prepare to be enlightened," Sam told Jason. She thought Shiloh was convincing, and she pointed out that he had the skill to prey on vulnerable people. Jason saw a pattern, and Sam was convinced that DOD was a cult.
Jason and Sam found a definition and description for cults, and they agreed that it fit all that they knew about DOD. Jason read that it would be difficult to remove someone from such a group. Sam vowed to get closer to Shiloh, and she planned to get evidence against him. Jason suggested that information on the tattoo might prove to be helpful.
As Harmony and Shiloh returned to the DOD house, she complimented him on his latest speech. She told him she wanted to be there with him and not in Beechers Corners, but wondered if the reason he didn’t want her to return was because he was obsessed with Sam. Shiloh denied the obsession and instead told Harmony that she needed to concentrate on her work because her numbers were down. He wanted to know why her location hadn't produced more money.
Harmony observed that he didn’t even seem like the same man anymore She wondered what had happened to the man who had told her he loved her and for whom she'd gotten the special tattoo. She lifts up her shirt showing the same symbol that Daisy had.
3/14 As Sam entered Charlie's, she asked Spinelli if he'd tracked down the symbol she'd seen tattooed on Daisy. He hadn't, but she knew it had to be tied to Dawn of Day. When she was off the phone, she looked at the symbol again. Molly entered with Kristina, who asked what Sam was working on. Sam dismissed it as a case she was working on and put her phone away.
Sam and Molly sat at a table as Kristina excused herself. Sam and Molly speculated what Kristina and Valerie's conversation was about until Kristina joined them. She explained that she was "weeding out the toxic relationships in my life" and told them about her fight with Valerie. Molly was horrified that Kristina had "zero tolerance" for anyone who annoyed her, and she feared that Kristina would do the same to them. Kristina reasoned that it was different because they were family, but they were supportive, anyway. As Alexis entered and greeted her daughters, Sam got a text and excused herself to take care of a "very important" client.
Sam quietly entered the Dawn of Day house and looked around. She called out to see if anyone was home, but no one answered. She got a text from Spinelli that read, "Haven't found anything yet. Are you sure your sketch is accurate?"
Just then, a shirtless Shiloh entered, claiming to be drying off after being caught in the storm. Sam said that she wanted to talk about Kristina, but she asked him to put a shirt on. As she hid her phone behind her back, he got closer and wondered if him not wearing a shirt made her uncomfortable.
As Willow is changing, we see a Dawn of Day tattoo was visible on her back.
3/15 Michael met with Jason outside of Charlie's Pub and asked about Carly. He noted that there was always someone in his family who appeared to be on the edge of disaster. Jason maintained that Sonny had to stay focused on rescuing Dante.
Molly turned to Jason for help. He flashed back to a conversation he'd had with Sam about Shiloh. Molly insisted that if Sonny knew what Kristina had been up to, it would all be over. Jason thought that maybe Michael could reach Kristina, but he also thought they would have to let Shiloh think that he was winning so they could "take him down."
At the Dawn of Day house, Shiloh thought that Sam was flustered seeing him without his shirt. She declared that she hadn't expected to see him like that, and he insisted that he didn't have to conform in his own house. Sam mentioned the unlocked door, and he replied that it was open for people seeking shelter. He assured her the doors were all locked at midnight.
Sam confided that she was worried about her sister, but Shiloh assured her they took care of each other. Sam flashed back to a conversation with Jason about Shiloh being dangerous. He put on his shirt. Sam confessed that she had doubts about Kristina, as she'd just seen her sister cut ties with one of her best friends because the friend had had questions about DOD.
Shiloh was sorry. "Are you?" Sam asked. She wondered if Shiloh had put Kristina up to it. Shiloh claimed it wasn't his business, but he would speak to Kristina about it. He suggested that many people often had to go "all in" with DOD, and he wondered if Sam would be able to do that.
Shiloh wanted to talk about Sam, and her pain and fear of commitment. He mentioned her shying away and stated that he had a course for that, which was step one. Sam asked about step two and declared that Shiloh's half nakedness didn't faze her. Kristina walked in and announced that Molly had lectured her.
Kristina appreciated Sam being there, and the sisters hugged. Sam noted that she hoped Kristina worked things out with Valerie, and she had to leave to get her kids. Shiloh hoped that Sam would consider what they had talked about.
After Sam had gone, Shiloh noted that he'd heard about Kristina's rough night. Kristina replied that she had cut the negativity from her life. She added that it had felt good to "sever ties" with those who were not accepting what she believed in. Shiloh was proud of her and announced that she was ready for the next step.
3/20 At the hospital, Jason closed the door to an examination room then hugged Sam. After Sam pulled away from the embrace, she explained that the situation with Shiloh had gotten a lot worse. She told Jason about Kristina's argument with Valerie at Charlie's Pub when Kristina had cut Valerie out of her life for questioning Dawn of Day.
Jason was curious if Sam had talked to Kristina about the argument, so Sam admitted that she'd gone straight to Shiloh. Jason filled Sam in about the argument he'd witnessed between Molly and Kristina when Molly had confronted Kristina about DOD. Jason feared that Shiloh's mind games were working. Sam agreed because Shiloh had managed to turn things around on Sam when she had expressed concerns about Kristina.
Sam worried about the charismatic leader's influence on her sister if he'd been able to convince Kristina to consider cutting ties with her family. Jason suggested that perhaps it was time to take Kristina out of the situation, but Sam feared that it would only make things worse if they whisked Kristina to Sonny's private island because Kristina would only dig her heels in deeper. Sam insisted that Kristina needed to figure things out on her own.
Jason argued that DOD wouldn't survive without Shiloh, but Sam warned Jason that killing Shiloh wasn't the answer because Kristina would figure things out. Jason reminded Sam that time was not on their side because Sonny would return soon. Jason doubted that he'd be able to control Sonny once Sonny learned about Kristina's situation.
Sam assured Jason that she would make progress before Sonny returned, but Jason wondered what she had in mind. Sam explained that she needed to get in as deep as Kristina was, which meant that Sam had to join the cult.
At the Dawn of Day house, Kristina said that she was ready to take the next step. Shiloh expressed his pleasure at her progress then confirmed that she was indeed ready to join the "Trust." According to Shiloh, the Trust was DOD's core group, "the decision-makers" of the family. Kristina was confused because she'd been under the impression that DOD had discussed everything openly with all members.
She had no idea that a separate group had called the shots, but Shiloh rushed to assure Kristina that her initial impression had been correct. He explained that the Trust was comprised of a select few who were trusted and the heart of the organization. Shiloh clarified that the Trust didn't make the decisions, but they did help to influence members. He revealed that the Trust was kept secret in part because they didn't want members to jump to the wrong conclusion as Kristina had.
Shiloh admitted that the Trust wanted to avoid eliciting negative thoughts like jealousy because it would be counterproductive for everyone else. Kristina was curious which members were part of the Trust, but Shiloh explained that he couldn't divulge that until she had joined their ranks. Kristina was flattered that Shiloh believed that she was ready to be a part of the elite circle.
"I do," he assured her, but he cautioned her that there would be a price to pay. Shiloh explained that in order to join the Trust, Kristina would have to share a secret that no other person knew, and that had the capacity to destroy her life if it were to be revealed. In exchange, Shiloh promised that Kristina would gain access to each Trust member's secrets.
3/21 Kristina tried to think of a secret to tell the Trust, and Shiloh informed her that it could be about "someone dear to you." He thought that would make them trust her even more. When he was gone, Kristina's phone went off. She saw a text from Molly that read, "Please meet me at Kelly's so we can talk. OXO Molly."
Molly sat at Kelly's with Sam and Alexis and told them that Kristina had joined a cult. She'd invited Kristina so they could talk sense into her, but Sam didn't think ganging up on Kristina would do any good. She got up to go, as she had a client, but she urged Molly to "be nice."
Sam entered the Dawn of Day house and found Shiloh. She confided that she'd been thinking about his words about her fear of commitment, and she wondered if she could officially join Dawn of Day. He replied that the group would love to have her. He explained that she would get a mentor and "relinquish" control to him or her. She asked when she would meet the mentor, and he revealed that he would be her mentor. He continued that she would need to make herself available to him all day, every day. "We're done for the day," he said, and he walked away.
Kristina entered the house, and Sam disclosed that she was there to sign up for a class on commitment. Kristina was glad that someone in the family wasn't afraid of connecting with the Dawn of Day message. Sam insisted that Kristina's family loved her, but Kristina replied that love was empty without trust. She was glad to still have Sam and hugged her sister. When Sam was gone a few minutes later, Kristina spoke into the recorder and introduced herself. She revealed that her secret was about a member of her family.
3/22 Sam found Jason at the hospital and told him that Shiloh was going to be her personal mentor, which meant she had to be available at all times and would have to do what he said. She would be unable to have any thoughts of her own. She added that Shiloh had been more than happy to welcome her to the commitment class. Jason informed Sam that Sonny was back, but Sam wanted more time to investigate Shiloh before Sonny heard and possibly ruined things for Kristina.
Jason walked into the examination room and found Carly and Sonny in an embrace. Carly declared that Sonny had a minor injury and was not fine. Sonny revealed that Dante had taken it hard after hearing about the attack on Lulu, and Carly disclosed that there had been other trouble while Sonny had been gone.
Sonny heard about the events in Canada with Ryan, and he demanded that Ryan be found. He added that if Ryan was still alive, he wanted him dead. Jason proceeded to fill Sonny in on the problem with Kristina and Dawn of Day, and he told Sonny about the argument he'd observed between Kristina and Molly.
Jason went on to say that Kristina had been isolating herself and that Shiloh had been controlling her. Carly was concerned that Kristina would blame Sonny if anything were to happen to Shiloh, but Sonny was more concerned about Kristina.
Sam and Danny stopped at Kelly's and chatted with Brad and Wiley, who spit up all over Sam. Shiloh walked in, and Sam introduced Shiloh and Brad. Shiloh offered to watch Danny while Sam went to the ladies' room to clean up. Sam refused at first, and Shiloh wondered if she trusted him. Brad called out that he was there, too, and awkwardly, Sam stated that she trusted Shiloh. Shiloh introduced himself to Danny while Sam was gone, and they bumped fists. Jason was outside, peering into the window with an angry look on his face.
3/25 Jason arrived at Kelly's, angry to see Shiloh with Danny. Sam returned from the bathroom and thanked Shiloh and Brad for watching Danny. Danny wanted Jason to visit Monica with him, but Jason promised they could plan it for later in the week. When Jason was gone and Danny was getting cookies at the counter, Shiloh talked to Sam about her "courses." Brad wondered what she was studying, and she explained that her courses were "self-exploratory." Brad was surprised, and Sam commented that "people change." Danny returned to Sam with a box of cookies, and the two left.
Shiloh left Kelly's and bumped straight into Jason, who warned Shiloh that Danny was "off-limits." However, Shiloh trusted that Sam had Danny's best interests at heart. Shiloh believed that Danny would thrive at Dawn of Day and get on a "peaceful path" instead of the "anger and violence you embrace." He accused Jason of being fearful and angry that Sam and Danny were slipping away from him, and Shiloh invited Jason to join Dawn of Day. Jason suddenly grabbed Shiloh's throat and pinned him against a wall.
Sam met up with Michael, and he revealed that Sonny wanted Kristina out of Dawn of Day. Sam asked when the conversation had been, and Michael replied that it had been a couple hours before. Sam was aggravated because Jason had promised her more time. Michael wondered why Kristina leaving Dawn of Day wasn't a good idea. Sam countered that Jason going in to get Kristina out was more dangerous.
3/26 Outside of Kelly's, Shiloh told Jason that Sam had been breaking new boundaries, and the process had been intense and intimate. He wanted to be able to do the same for Jason. Without warning, Jason shoved Shiloh against the brick wall, smashing his head into it, and began to choke him. As Shiloh sank to the ground, Sam called out to Jason and rushed over to Shiloh.
The waitress rushed over and told Jason that he could have killed Shiloh. "But I didn't," Jason replied coldly. She insisted on calling the police. Sam helped Shiloh hold a towel to the back of his bleeding head as Shiloh stated that he had been taken by surprise and wondered what he'd done to offend Jason.
Shiloh stated that he hadn't realized how violent Jason could be, and he was happy that Sam had been able to break away from him. He gave her credit. Sam announced that she had determined that she really needed Shiloh and Dawn of Day.
At the police station, Chase had Shiloh recount the incident to him. Shiloh related that he had tried to tell Jason that DOD was a peaceful group committed to non-violence, with open doors to all. Jason sat silently, and Sam looked on. Shiloh stated that he might have touched Jason's arm.
Jordan wanted to question Jason, but he announced that he wanted his attorney. Chase pulled Jordan aside and told her about the fight. He thought there was more to Shiloh "than meets the eye." He wanted to allow both men to go, but Jordan didn't think it was a good idea. They went back to the men, and Jordan placed Jason under arrest.
3/27 Shiloh left his hospital room, and Sam was there, waiting for him. He informed her that he'd needed stitches after waking up with his head wound still bleeding. Kristina entered and demanded to know what Jason had done to Shiloh. Shiloh insisted that he was fine, but Kristina went off on how Jason was a deadly hitman and could have killed Shiloh. Sam scolded Kristina for saying such "inappropriate and exaggerated" things.
Sam revealed that Jason had gone after Shiloh because of her and Danny. Shiloh agreed that Jason had misinterpreted something he'd seen, so he understood Jason's feelings. "I don't," Kristina said pointedly. Kristina offered to let everyone know that he was all right while she was on the way to Sonny's.
Shiloh asked Sam if she thought Jason had tried to kill him, but she answered that, if Jason had wanted Shiloh dead, he'd be dead. She continued that Jason was just an overprotective father, and she'd hate for his sons to lose any time with him. She added that Dawn of Day urged forgiveness, and she hoped Shiloh believed in it.
Jason sat in the interrogation room, cuffed to the table, and he refused to say anything without a lawyer. Jordan informed him that she'd gone through his records, and he'd never lost control like he had with Shiloh. She wondered if he knew something he wasn't saying. Margaux entered and asked for a word with Jordan, so they left the room.
Chase entered the interrogation room, and Jason again refused to talk. Chase wondered if the attack on Shiloh was a set-up, as there had been no witnesses to the whole altercation, and Jason had made sure that Shiloh had made the first move. He realized that Jason could have killed Shiloh and wanted him to know. He asked if Shiloh was threatening someone close to Jason, as he was threatening someone close to Chase.
Chase urged Jason to get any evidence of "fraud, blackmail, coercion, or anything that can legally be used" against Shiloh to Chase. He wanted to send Shiloh to prison. Jordan and Margaux returned to the interrogation room. Margaux asked to go over Chase's notes from the attack, so he left. Margaux assumed that Jason had attacked Shiloh because of jealousy over Sam.
Outside the room, Chase bumped into Sam and Shiloh; Shiloh asked about the meeting Willow had said she and Chase had had about Chase's child. Chase claimed that it was nothing to worry about, but he did wonder why Shiloh had been at Willow's classroom. Shiloh answered that he'd wanted to reconnect and invite Willow back to Dawn of Day. Chase promised to let Jordan know that Shiloh was there.
Chase returned to the interrogation room and told Jordan that Shiloh was there, and Margaux suggested a move to another room to fit everyone. Margaux and Jordan left the room, followed by Chase and Jason, and they bumped right into Shiloh and Sam. Shiloh revealed that he was there about "accountability." As he believed in healing instead of condemning, he wanted to drop the charges against Jason. He admitted that he believed he'd triggered Jason into snapping, and he hoped that Jason would use the opportunity to "reevaluate his situation.”
Jordan instructed Chase to uncuff Jason and escort him to processing for his release. When Chase took Jason around the corner, he whispered a reminder for Jason to get any evidence against Shiloh to him. Sam appreciated Shiloh's actions on Danny's behalf, and he said that her words meant a lot to him. He wanted to practice what he preached, and he hoped that Jason would make the most of the opportunity. He added that all bets were off if Jason attacked again, as he would then believe that Jason was "beyond redemption."
Jason emerged a few minutes later, and Margaux talked to him about what a good man Shiloh was for dropping the charges. She wouldn't count on his kindness again, so she warned Jason that she would make sure to "take you down" the next time he went near Shiloh. Jason got his gun from the officer at the front desk and stormed out of the station as Sam and Shiloh watched.
3/28 At the bar, Jason remained concerned about Dante, and he asked if Sonny was aware that Dante had been struggling. Carly conceded that Sonny had mentioned there had been some issues, but he hadn't elaborated. Carly wondered if she should tell Sonny about the incident, but Jason observed that Dante seemed aware that there was a problem.
Carly seized the opportunity to question Jason about his altercation with Shiloh. She wanted to know why he had taken a swing at the cult leader, but Jason clarified that he had grabbed Shiloh by the neck then smashed Shiloh's head into the wall. Jason explained that he had wanted Shiloh to know how easy it would be to make Shiloh disappear. Carly thought that it had been unwise, but Jason had no regrets because Shiloh had needed to understand that Danny was off-limits.
Jason filled Carly in about his exchange with Shiloh and how Shiloh had baited him. However, Jason assured Carly that Shiloh had dropped the charges. Carly wasn't fooled; she knew that it had been a calculated move on Shiloh's part to impress Sam. Carly worried that Sam might be caught in Shiloh's web rather than the other way around. Jason agreed that Shiloh was far from beaten, but Shiloh knew to be afraid, which was a good start.
4/3 Shiloh entered the Dawn of Day house and found Kristina, who was ready to prove her commitment to the organization. She handed him the recorder and told him that she'd recorded a secret about someone else that would devastate her family if it surfaced.
He listened to her recording with headphones and appreciated her entrusting him with the information. She wondered when she could join "the Trust," and he revealed that it took planning, preparation, and ten thousand dollars. "What if I can't get the money?" she wondered. He assured her that he had faith in her, and she left.
Jason waited on the footbridge until Sam appeared. She wondered how mad he was about her leaving Danny with Shiloh, but she asked him to hear her out. She told him the circumstances and assured him that Brad had been there, as well. Jason demanded that Shiloh stay away from Danny, even if it blew her investigation. She promised not to take Danny near Shiloh, but he wondered how much more time she needed.
Just then, Sam's phone went off, and she answered it to Shiloh, who believed that she was ready for the next step in her journey. She wondered when they would begin, and he answered, "Now." When she was off the phone, she begged Jason to ask Sonny for more time, and she left.
A short while later, Jason entered. Sonny shared Michael's idea, and Jason told Sonny about "roughing up" Shiloh. He disclosed that Sam wanted more time. Sonny wanted to "get rid" of Shiloh, but he agreed about Kristina's fragility. Sonny hoped that Sam could get proof of something they could use against Shiloh, and he thought he knew of someone who could help.
Sam arrived at the Dawn of Day house, and Shiloh told her that they would be one-on-one that night. He explained that one needed to embrace the unexpected and the darkness, and he produced a blindfold. "Do you trust me completely?" he asked, and she claimed that she did. He moved to put the blindfold on her, but she stopped him immediately.
A disappointed Shiloh informed her that she'd failed the test practically before it had begun. Sam countered that she needed to feel empowered, so she needed to put it on herself. She took it from him and tied it around her head. Shiloh looked at Sam intently and asked if she was nervous. "A little," she admitted. He asked if she could sense the energy flowing between them, and she said that she could.
He advised her to let her guard down and wondered if she was afraid of him. She told him that she was only afraid of "how right this feels." He took her blindfold off and told her that they were done for the day. She inquired when they would work together again, and he promised to let her know.
When Sam was gone, Shiloh watched footage on his computer of his one-on-one with Sam. Outside, Sam bumped into Margaux, who asked if Sam had just finished a class. She replied that she had just finished a session, and Margaux related that she was heading inside for one.
4/8 Sonny and Jason met at Pozzulo's to talk business about Shiloh. Jason revealed that he was willing to go after Shiloh right away, although Sonny was concerned that things would then be worse for Kristina. Jason didn't think they could wait, as he thought things would already get worse, but Sam arrived to urge Sonny to back off during her investigation. She also informed him that Shiloh had "influential followers," and that included Margaux.
Sam and Jason related the various ways in which it seemed apparent that Margaux was a follower of Shiloh, including her release of Jason without pressing charges. Sonny was angry, but he explained that Margaux had been through a lot in the past year. He also thought she was the type of person that Shiloh would target. Sam regretted that she hadn't learned anything yet during her own investigation of Shiloh, but she had to leave.
Jason was determined that Shiloh be eliminated immediately. He explained his reasoning to Sonny, but Sonny didn't want to make trouble with the district attorney. Jason explained that there had been a pattern in every town where Shiloh had established a home, and they all had pull with the local officials. Sonny saw it clearly as a way for Shiloh and his group to run the towns.
Jason pointed out that Shiloh's group was merely a con in order to get money from his followers. He added that the higher those people rose in the group, the more money they had to pay. Sonny thought there had to be another way to take control.
As Shiloh watched a video of his time with a blindfolded Sam at the Dawn of Day house, Kristina walked in, and he gently closed the laptop. Kristina presented him with the additional money needed in order for her to join the Trust, and Shiloh promised the process would take place that evening.
Shortly after, Sam arrived looking for Shiloh. Kristina related that he would be back shortly. Sam revealed that she'd had a one-on-one session with Shiloh, and she had returned to schedule another one. Kristina was excited and admitted that she had been jealous when she'd learned of Sam's involvement with Shiloh earlier. She added that she would no longer be that way after that evening.
Sam wanted a hint about the evening's festivities, but before Kristina could say anything, Harmony walked in with Daisy. Harmony was there to see to the preparation for the evening's session, and Kristina was excited to see her. Harmony met Sam and then proceeded up to the attic with Daisy. Kristina explained that Harmony was in charge of the DOD house in Beechers Corners. Kristina told Sam that Shiloh trusted certain people with more responsibilities.
Up in the attic, Harmony and Daisy looked around. "Let's get started," Harmony proposed. Daisy began to light candles as Harmony surveyed the room filled with pillows. Once things were set up, they returned to the living room. Harmony wanted to speak to Kristina, who said goodbye to Sam. Harmony took Kristina and Daisy to the kitchen.
Sam left the house but sneaked back inside. She headed up to the attic and looked around the elaborately decorated room. She saw a small black bag and opened it. She pulled out its contents. "Well, somebody's getting a tattoo," she muttered.
Sonny and Jason continued to talk about Shiloh. Jason thought that Shiloh could want money to free someone from the group, but that would be extortion. He wondered if there was a way to get to Shiloh legally. Sonny announced that he had a plan. Just then, there was a knock at the door, and Sonny opened it to welcome Neil inside. "Thanks for coming," Sonny said.
Shiloh returned to the DOD house as Sam was still going through items in the attic.
4/9 Shiloh entered the Dawn of Day house, and Harmony informed him that Kristina was preparing for her initiation. Harmony thought that Kristina was perfect for the Trust, and she added that she'd also met Sam. She continued that the supplies for the initiation were in the attic. Shiloh related that he had more good news: "I found her." An anxious Harmony asked how "she" was, and Shiloh replied that she seemed well, but she'd changed her name to Willow.
Sam looked around the attic and spotted a bag on the floor. She went through the bag and observed, "Someone's getting a tattoo." She took pictures of the room until she heard Shiloh and Harmony outside the door, talking about focusing on Kristina. When they entered the room, Sam was nowhere to be seen. From her hiding spot, she listened as they talked about how eager Kristina was to join the Trust.
Harmony asked about Kristina's pledge offering. Shiloh informed her that it was an "inconvenient truth" about Kristina's family that would prove useful to them. Harmony wanted to finish preparing for the initiation, as "midnight will be here sooner than you think," and they left. After making sure that they were gone, Sam ran out of the room.
Downstairs, Harmony expressed her surprise that Shiloh would put someone from Port Charles in the Trust, but he thought the people could be "beneficial" to them. The two went to the kitchen to prepare a drink for Kristina's nerves, and Sam took the opportunity to run out of the house.
Kristina greeted Shiloh, and he asked if she was nervous about her initiation. She replied that she was eager to start, but he urged her to meditate on any uncertainty she might have. She wondered what his part in the ceremony was, and he answered that he wasn't involved in the ceremony. He explained that the "sisterhood" of the Trust would welcome her in, and they needed to bond with her. She clarified that he had no part in her initiation, but he told her, "I never said that. After you're welcomed in, I'll complete the initiation." He assured her that she would get hours with him to tell him about the ceremony.
Harmony returned and handed Kristina the dress she would wear for the initiation. Shiloh suddenly realized that he didn't have a picture with Kristina, so he handed his phone to Harmony, and she snapped a picture of the two.
A short while later, Shiloh led Kristina, clad in the initiation dress, to the attic. He entered with her, and she thought the room was amazing. He revealed that only the Trust was allowed in. He told her that he'd transcribed her pledge offering to sign as a safeguard in case something happened to the recording. She signed the paper and told him that she wanted to make him proud and repay him for everything he'd given her. Stroking her face, he told her that she was a special person and to enjoy the ceremony, and he left.
Jason and Michael arrived outside the Floating Rib, and both had updates on Dawn of Day. Sam entered and told them about Kristina's initiation that night, and she showed them her pictures from the attic.
Michael told Jason and Sam all that Willow had told him about the Trust, including Shiloh's part of the ceremony that including him having sex with the inductee. Sam knew that Kristina would probably feel honored to do it, and Jason decided to "handle" it. Michael wanted to help, but Jason instructed him to get himself an alibi. He asked Jason to tell him when Kristina was safe, and he went back into the Floating Rib. Sam instructed Jason to hurry, as the initiation was set for midnight.
4/10 Outside the Floating Rib, Jason informed Sam that he was going to "case" the Dawn of Day house, wait for an opening, and grab Kristina. He instructed Sam to make sure that Shiloh was occupied while he did that. "Watch and learn," Sam replied confidently as she took out her phone.
In the attic of the Dawn of Day house, Kristina signed her pledge. Shiloh said that she was special and told her to enjoy the ceremony. He left the room, but she called out for him, so he returned. He assured her that the ceremony was "painless" and that only good memories would remain, but she wished he could be there. Harmony entered and handed Kristina a cup. She instructed Kristina to drink, as it would calm her nerves. She took a sip, and the Dawn of Day symbol was on the bottom of the cup.
Shiloh instructed Kristina to lie down and reflect on her past and future. He promised to see her later, and he and Harmony left the room. Shiloh ordered Harmony to move the ceremony up, as Kristina was ready. Harmony walked away to prepare, and Shiloh's phone went off. He answered it to Sam and asked if she was all right. "No," Sam admitted, and she broke it to him that she didn't think she would make their session the next day. "Is it Jason?" Shiloh wondered.
As Sam held Jason's hand, she told Shiloh that she missed Jason and wanted to be with him. He asked where she was and promised to meet her there. "And that's how it's done," Sam gloated to Jason when she hung up. He asked her to keep Shiloh busy for at least half an hour. "Go get my sister," she told him, and he promised not to leave the house without Kristina.
Kristina sat up and looked around. She saw a framed quote that read, "When I let go of what I am, I become what I can be." She picked up the cup, drank the rest of the liquid, and passed out, dropping the cup. Jason arrived outside the house and looked in the window. He entered the house and heard Harmony in the distance, asking for help finishing up preparations for the ceremony, as Shiloh had moved it up. Jason's eyes widened, and he kept moving.
Jason found the attic and went in. He knelt next to Kristina and tried to wake her, but he couldn't. He saw the tattoo equipment and the cup, and he pocketed the cup. He picked Kristina up and left. Outside, Kristina woke up and slurred, "Jason?" He promised that he was taking her somewhere safe, and he kept moving.
Shiloh arrived at the Floating Rib and found Sam in the back with a drink. She slurred that she was embarrassed he was seeing her like that. He offered to get some coffee for them, and she agreed. A few minutes later, they sat at a table, and she told him how she and Jason had played pool there in the past. He wondered if she liked who she'd been when she'd been with Jason, and she answered that she didn't.
She jokingly offered to give Shiloh the "bullet points" of why she shouldn't be with Jason, and he thought that those reasons would remind her that she was on the right path. "How much time do you have?" she wondered.
Sam couldn't believe that Shiloh had had the time to see her, as there were so many people who wanted and needed him.
He explained that every person served a different role in the organization. She asked him to help her figure out her role, and he answered, "Of course." Sam's phone went off, and she saw a text from Jason that read, "Got her." Sam thought that it was time for her to go, and Shiloh offered her a ride. She thought he'd already spent enough of his time helping her. He hoped to see her the next day, and he left; she watched as he went.
Harmony returned to the attic and announced to Kristina that they were ready to start the ceremony. Seeing that Kristina wasn't there, she looked around the room then took out her phone. Outside the Floating Rib, Shiloh's phone went off, and he got his phone out of his pocket. He read the text from Harmony that said, "She's gone."
4/11 Jason held onto Kristina's phone after sending a text message to Julian. Kristina was asleep on the sofa but slowly began to wake up. He informed her that she had been in a bad place, and he had removed her from it. Jason handed her a glass of water, and Kristina asked where they were.
"It's a property," Jason answered. Kristina realized it was one of her father's safe houses, and she asked why she was there. She recalled being at the Dawn of Day house and waiting for the ceremony to begin. After Jason began to explain why he had taken her out of the house, Kristina began to yell at him angrily.
Kristina wanted to leave, but Jason stopped her. He added that both Milo and Max were guarding the house, and she would not be able to escape. He suggested that she be angry at him. Kristina shouted that he was jealous of Shiloh, and Jason had violated her rights by kidnapping her. She continued that Jason would never get Sam back, and while Shiloh was an enlightened man, Jason was on a path to nowhere.
Jason ignored her speech. "You want something for breakfast?" he asked. Kristina continued to yell and demand her freedom. She calmed down briefly but started to shout again. She reminded Jason that he had known her for her entire life. Jason replied that he had always wanted to keep her safe, and he wasn't about to stop.
Sonny met with Jason outside the house, and Jason filled him in on Kristina's frame of mind. He stated that she was not happy. He had gotten Kristina's password to her phone from her when she'd been "doped up." Jason added, "She's furious." Sonny walked into the house, and Kristina ran to him and hugged him. She cried and told him that she was better off at the DOD house and wanted to go back.
Sonny and Kristina sat down. Sonny declared that he was trying to keep her safe, and she couldn't go back to the house and the predator who had been keeping her from her family. Kristina began to scream and shout again and declared that she wanted to talk to her mother, who knew the law. Just then, a knock on the door revealed Alexis on the other side. "Go ahead; talk," Sonny urged Kristina.
Alexis walked inside. Kristina couldn't believe her eyes and threatened to press charges and have Alexis disbarred. Alexis thought it was worth it. She tried to explain that Shiloh and the group weren't loving and kind and that impressionable people were lured to the group. There was another knock at the door. Sarcastically, Kristina asked if everyone had been invited to her kidnapping. Sonny opened the door, and it was Alexis' turn to be surprised as Neil walked in.
At the Dawn of Day house, Shiloh and Harmony discussed Kristina's disappearance. Shiloh was certain that Kristina was a devoted follower. Sam hesitantly stood outside, knocked, and walked in. She announced that she was embarrassed because of her behavior the previous night, but Shiloh told her she had reached out for help. He didn't think it was a big deal. He wondered if she had spoken to Kristina.
Sam replied that she hadn't spoken to Kristina and asked if something was wrong. Shiloh suggested that there had been a miscommunication, but he thought it was normal. Harmony asked how Kristina had been when Sam had seen her last, and Sam clarified that her sister had been happy and at peace. Shiloh revealed that Kristina had missed the daily check-in for the first time.
Sam joked that Kristina wasn't normally a rule follower, although Shiloh indicated that she had been good with the rules at the house. Sam responded that everyone had "off days." Sam and Shiloh sat, and Sam apologized again for her behavior. Shiloh grabbed her hand and told her she'd made a "significant" breakthrough. Just then, Molly burst into the room. She saw Sam and asked why Sam was there. She assumed Sam had been looking for Kristina.
Molly accused Shiloh of running a cult and brainwashing Kristina. Shiloh denied it, and he and Sam told her that they didn't know where Kristina was. Sam insisted she wasn't worried, and Shiloh revealed that Sam was one of his students. "Have you completely lost your mind?" Molly shouted at Sam.
Sam confessed that she had investigated Shiloh, and he was completely legitimate. Molly thought Shiloh was good and that his helping the homeless and feeding the poor had just been a front. She pulled his book from her bag and told him she'd read it. She continued that much of it had been plagiarized, and the writer had been a "textbook narcissist." She tossed the book and ran out.
Sam apologized for Molly and ran after her. Molly was beside herself with anger and accused Sam of being recruited. She refused to lose both of her sisters. Inside the house, Harmony told Shiloh that the cup was missing from the attic, and she was worried that someone who shouldn't see it would find it. Shiloh ordered her to search again. He planned to look for Kristina.
Outside the safehouse, Jason held onto the cup he'd retrieved from the DOD house and answered a phone call from Sam. He told her that Kristina was "pissed." Sam related the scene with an angry Molly, and she told him that Shiloh and Harmony had asked about Kristina. She had left them with the impression that Kristina had left the house on her own. Jason thought it would be awhile before Kristina would be able to see the truth.
4/16 At General Hospital, Jason asked Elizabeth if she'd be able to have a test run on the cup he was holding to see if there were any drugs in it. He didn't want to answer any questions but merely stated that it was important to family, and the less she knew, the better. Elizabeth agreed to have a quick test done, and Jason said that he would wait.
Jason walked up to Michael and Carly at GH and revealed that he had gotten Kristina out of the Dawn of Day house, but she had been "pretty messed up.” Jason added that Sam would attempt to search the DOD house for clues, and he asked about Michael's friend Willow. Just then, Michael received a phone call from Willow, who asked that he meet her at the pub.
Sam walked into the DOD house and found a distraught Shiloh sitting on the sofa. They both revealed that they hadn't been able to find Kristina, and Sam claimed that she was getting worried. Shiloh assured her they'd find her sister. He grabbed her a glass of water, and they sat to chat. Sam suggested they call the police, but Shiloh insisted that he would search the local hospitals first. He added that they couldn't report a missing person for 24 hours.
Sam wanted to search Kristina's room for clues, but Shiloh maintained that that wasn't a good idea because that would be Kristina's private space. Sam managed to persuade Shiloh to change his mind, but he ordered Daisy to accompany Sam to the bedroom.
Sam peered into Kristina's things and announced that everything seemed intact. She sat on the bed and spoke to Daisy, who couldn't understand why Kristina had left. Sam noted that Kristina had been excited to take the next step, and Daisy confirmed that she'd never heard of anyone changing their mind, especially because there would be consequences.
Sam clarified that Daisy had referred to there being consequences if one walked away from the Trust and asked if the person would be shunned. Daisy was horrified that Sam knew about the Trust and asked where Sam had heard it. Sam assumed it had been Kristina, and Daisy ordered her to forget she'd ever heard about it. Daisy stressed that Kristina had been important to Shiloh, and he would never shun her.
After the room had been searched, Daisy declared that there were no clues, and Kristina had been excited and privileged to take the next step. Sam suggested it had all been too much for Kristina, but Daisy confessed that Kristina had made a pledge and had been fully committed. She added that Sam would learn about it after she was chosen.
After Michael had gone, Jason told Carly about how he'd found Kristina in the attic at the DOD house and the cup he'd picked up with the same symbol as the tattoo he'd seen. He wanted proof that the cup had contained drugs. Jason told her about the psychiatrist that Sonny had hired, and while Jason didn't like psychiatrists, he thought there had been no other way to get through to Kristina.
Jason added that Kristina had been extremely angry at him, and he really wanted to just make Shiloh disappear, although he thought that Kristina should see Shiloh arrested. Carly thought that making Shiloh disappear was the obvious solution, but Jason felt that it was all up to Sonny and Sam.
Jason got up and returned with a bottle of orange juice for Carly. She insisted that the baby was fine, and she was more concerned about her other baby, Josslyn. She filled him in on what had happened with Oscar's latest seizure. She really wanted to go to Josslyn but would wait until she was needed. Jason suggested they play some pool, but Carly only wanted Shiloh to be busted. Jason declared that Carly and Josslyn were important to him.
Shiloh turned up at the hospital and ran into Brad, who told him how good he'd been feeling after attending events at DOD. He hoped to get Lucas and Wiley to attend, also. Shiloh exclaimed that he saw Brad "going far" in the group. As Brad went to shake his hand, Shiloh spotted the bagged cup in Brad's possession. "Where'd you get that?" Shiloh asked.
Brad remarked that he had to test it for drugs. Shiloh shared that it was his, and it had been missing. He spouted off on how certain people were against DOD and wanted to see them fail. He thought that Jason had been obsessed with his wife leaving him and had attacked Shiloh. Brad revealed that a nurse who was friends with Jason had given it to him. He asked why Jason wasn't in jail.
Shiloh admitted that he hadn't pressed charges against Jason, and Brad suggested that perhaps Jason had stolen the cup. Shiloh assured Brad that the only things he'd find in the cup were tea and valerian root, and he should tell the others.
Later, Jason saw Elizabeth and Brad. Brad announced that he'd run the test, and nothing had been found except for valerian root and tea. There hadn't been any drugs. Brad saw Lucas and suggested they attend class. He'd spoken to Shiloh.
Shiloh returned to DOD and told Sam that he'd checked both local hospitals for Kristina. He had realized that Jason had probably kidnapped her.
4/17 Shiloh entered the Dawn of Day house, and Sam wondered if he'd found Kristina. He revealed that he believed Jason had kidnapped Kristina, but Sam countered that Kristina had probably gotten "cold feet" and was too embarrassed to return. Shiloh added that his proof was the cup, which Jason would have grabbed while Shiloh had been at the Floating Rib with Sam. Sam blamed it on herself for being a "mess," and she suggested that he take his proof to the cops.
Shiloh didn't think the cup would hold up in court, but it was enough for him. He felt lucky that he had Sam on his side. Shiloh believed that Jason had taken Kristina on Sonny's orders, and he thought that Sam would know where she was. Sam answered that, with their suspicions about Dawn of Day, Jason and Sonny would never tell her where Kristina was. Shiloh reminded her that she had "unique skills" to help her find out. He begged her to help get Kristina back to her "real family."
Brad was looking at Dawn of Day's parenting classes on his computer when Jason approached. Brad informed him that the only traces left on the cup were tea and valerian root, which could be used for anxiety and gotten at any vitamin shop. Jason caught sight of the computer screen and asked if Brad was a member of Dawn of Day. Brad admitted that he'd taken a couple parenting classes that had helped him.
Lucas entered and informed Brad that he might have to cover for someone that night, so he wasn't sure if he could attend the Dawn of Day class with Brad. Brad gave Jason the cup and walked away. Jason asked if Lucas was into Dawn of Day. Lucas replied that it was "too New Age" for him, but it had helped Brad, who quoted the book all the time.
As Margaux warned Sonny that taking action outside the law made him a criminal, Jason entered and wondered if there was a problem. Margaux hoped that Jason had learned from Shiloh's "act of kindness," but she doubted it. She warned him that, if he targeted Shiloh again, Jason's luck would run out. Sonny replied that they were too busy running a business to worry about "self-help gurus." "I hope so," she said, and she walked away.
Jason wondered if Margaux knew about Kristina, and Sonny thought it was possible that Shiloh had mentioned it to her. Jason asked if Sonny was really reading Shiloh's book, but Sonny explained that Neil had advised the family to understand what had drawn Kristina to Dawn of Day. Sonny informed Jason that Margaux had quoted the book to him, and he thought that her involvement in Dawn of Day made her even more dangerous.
A short while later, Jason watched Margaux leave, and he took the opportunity to tell Sonny about the cup and about Brad. Sonny wanted to get the cup tested by someone he could trust, and he made a mental note to call Brick about it. Michael entered and asked about Kristina. Sonny informed Michael the Neil wanted the family to do an intervention with Kristina. Michael updated Sonny and Jason on what Willow had told him about the pledge. Michael warned Sonny that the pledge could be about him.
4/18 At the Dawn of Day house, Shiloh asked for Sam's help in locating Kristina. She declared that she wasn't ready to accuse Jason of kidnapping Kristina yet, even though Shiloh believed that to be the case. Sam informed Shiloh that she worked best when she was alone and would keep him posted, but he insisted on accompanying her. He stated she would never have to be alone again.
At Metro Court, Sonny, Michael, and Jason discussed the ongoing predicament with Kristina and the fact that Shiloh might have some kind of leverage against Sonny. Michael thought that Kristina's pledge could be about anyone, and Sonny thought that it was probably a really big secret. Jason didn't believe that Kristina would have the facts or proof of anything pertaining to Sonny's business.
Michael left to get Josslyn, and Sonny thanked him for the information he'd gotten from Willow. Sonny declared that the pledge was beginning to be a lot of trouble. He and Jason continued to discuss what Kristina might know, and Jason suggested that Sonny ask her about her pledge. Sonny emphatically said no, and Jason thought they should find and destroy the signed pledge. Sonny declared that they needed Sam to take care of it.
Jason reminded Sonny that that was why Sam had been trying to get close to Shiloh. He thought that he should get into the house and search for the document himself. Sonny was opposed to that in case Jason got caught because he'd already had a run-in with Shiloh. Jason was afraid that it would go wrong and Sam would be the one to get caught.
Jason stopped by Carly's office and asked about Josslyn and Oscar. Carly told him about their song writing and Josslyn's attempt at trying to stay positive. Carly admitted that she hated seeing her daughter in pain, but she wanted to remain supportive. She wanted to shield Josslyn. Jason replied that sometimes that wasn't possible.
Shiloh and Sam walked into Charlie's Pub, and Sam asked Julian if he'd seen Kristina. Julian snarled that Kristina was about to lose her job because she hadn't shown up to work. He had tried to get in touch with Kristina every way imaginable. Shiloh introduced himself to Julian and asked that Julian get in touch if he heard from Kristina.
Alexis arrived, and Sam shared her concern about Kristina. Alexis reported that she had spoken to her daughter, who had given her a message for Julian. Alexis told Sam that Kristina had decided to leave DOD after she had gotten "cold feet" about her big decision. She hoped that Shiloh hadn't been offended, but she needed time to clear her head. Shiloh asked that Alexis have Kristina call him.
Shiloh and Sam left, and Shiloh asked Sam to return to the DOD house for meditation. He asked where she thought Kristina could be. Sam didn't know, and she told him she had to get home to her kids. He hoped that Sam's commitment to DOD would be stronger than Kristina's.
At Metro Court, Jason and Carly talked about Kim and Drew as well as Josslyn. Jason knew that Josslyn would have support and love and would get through everything with Oscar. They were interrupted when there was a knock on the office door. It was Sam, who wanted to speak to Jason alone. Carly picked up one of Josslyn's scraps of paper from the floor.
Sam and Jason stepped outside. Sam told Jason that Shiloh had insisted on accompanying her on her search for Kristina. They'd run into Alexis, who had said she had spoken to Kristina, though Shiloh had been convinced that Jason had kidnapped her.
Jason told Sam about the pledge and the fact that it was probably something incriminating against Sonny. He asked Sam if she would be able to find it. Sam thought that Kristina would never be free until it was found.
Shiloh returned to DOD house and went through a file cabinet. He pulled out the folder that contained Kristina's signed pledge. The last line read, "Kiefer's death was no accident.”
4/22 Shiloh walked into Volonino's and saw Jason near the punching bag. He asked Jason if he could take a turn at the bag, but Jason silently walked to the bag and began punching it himself. Shiloh noted that Jason's hostility was obvious, but he continued to talk to Jason, who remained silent.
Shiloh revealed that Sam had persuaded him not to consider Jason as a suspect in Kristina's kidnapping, and he added that he and Sam had grown closer with mutual trust. Shiloh declared that both Sam and Danny were great, and he continued to taunt Jason with his comments. Jason punched the bag harder but ignored Shiloh until the leader of Dawn of Day left the gym, laughing.
Sam walked into the house and spotted the folders that Harmony had left. She sat down to look through them, but she heard a door open and jumped up. Harmony walked in, and Sam announced that she was there to see Shiloh. Harmony revealed that Shiloh wasn't around, and she didn't know where he was. Sam stated she would wait. Harmony collected the folders.
Sam offered to help Harmony with whatever she was doing, but Harmony told her it was private. She told Sam that it was "far above" her level. Sam watched Harmony unlock a door and go into another room. When Harmony emerged and relocked the door, Sam ran over to try it after Harmony went elsewhere.
Sam finally managed to get the door unlocked and opened with her tools, but she heard Shiloh arrive home and call out for Harmony. Sam quickly closed the door. She found Shiloh and told him she was there to see him. She announced that she wanted to take the next step to prove that she had faith in him, just as he'd had faith in her. Shiloh assured her that it would happen soon.
Carly spotted Jason on the phone, and she asked him about it when he was done. Jason had been on the phone with Brick, and he revealed that the cup that had been picked up along with Kristina had contained a narcotic residue, as they'd suspected. Carly asked what had happened during the first test at the hospital. Jason urged her to guess. "Shiloh," Carly replied. Carly thought that the cops should be told, but Jason had another idea. He would handle things himself.
4/23 Sam told Shiloh that she was ready to take the step in commitment to Dawn of Day. He thought that it was "almost time," but not quite yet. Harmony entered, and Sam revealed that they'd been talking about the Trust. Harmony said that it was by "invitation only," and Sam had a "long path" in proving her worth.
Harmony turned to Shiloh and told him how nervous she was. He put a hand on her chest and a hand on her back, and she closed her eyes. He advised her to bundle her nerves into her palms and give them to him to bear. She pushed her palms into his chest and thanked him for the strength.
When she was gone, Sam wanted to know about what he'd done with Harmony, but he talked about time being a "remedy" for her inquisitiveness. She explained that she was curious by nature. Sam wondered when she could join the Trust, and Shiloh replied that she still had more to learn. He inquired if she was ready for the next step, and when she insisted that she was, he proposed that they "do it now."
He took his shirt off and explained that he was revealing himself to her, as most saw bodies as things to conceal. He urged her to reveal herself to him, and he led her to the attic.
4/24 Shiloh led Sam into the attic. He told her that she would first remove the physical barriers between them and then the spiritual. She began to unbutton her shirt as they maintained eye contact. She began to slowly unbutton her shirt, and she assured him that she trusted him. They heard Valerie knock on the door, but Shiloh told Sam to ignore it. Valerie entered the house and called out for Kristina, so Sam and Shiloh went downstairs as they buttoned back up.
Valerie was surprised to see Sam, and she asked to see Kristina. All three said that they didn't know where she was, although Sam added that Alexis had said that Kristina had taken a trip to clear her head. Valerie asked Sam to tell Kristina to call Valerie, and she left. "You did great," Shiloh said to Sam of her "shedding" of barriers. He believed that she was ready for the "next level," and she agreed.
"You're so willing," he purred with a hand on her face, and he thought that she would make a "wonderful addition to the family." He advised her to go home and wait for him to let her know what the next step was. "I can't wait," she replied, and she left. Outside the house, she sighed in relief to be out of the situation, and she walked away.
Jason met up with Sonny at Metro Court, and Sonny updated him on how little progress had been made with Kristina. Jason informed Sonny that Brick had found residue of narcotics in the cup Kristina had drunk from. "I'm done. Eliminate him," Sonny stated. Jason urged Sonny to reconsider the timing, as Kristina would blame Sonny, and he could lose her forever.
Jason met up with Sam outside Metro Court, and he found her crying. He pulled her into a hug as she sobbed that she didn't know how much longer she could keep up her charade at Dawn of Day. Jason told her about his experience with Shiloh at the gym, and Sam admitted that she'd found where the pledges were kept. He asked where they were so he could get Kristina's, but Sam thought it was too dangerous.
She continued that Shiloh had shown her the attic, and she briefly told him about her "lesson revealing myself.” Jason made sure that Sam hadn't drunk anything and told her about the narcotics found in the Dawn of Day cup. He regretted that there was no way to track it back to Shiloh. Sam tearfully realized that she needed to keep going and "get enough evidence to take down that sleazy bastard."
4/26 Jason arrived at the Quartermaine mansion and joined Oscar, Josslyn, and Cameron on the patio. Oscar revealed that he had changed his name because his mother had given him permission. It was Drew's turn to announce that it was time for Oscar to rest, but Oscar wanted to talk to Jason alone.
Oscar reminded Jason that Jason was the executor of his will, and Jason acknowledged that Oscar could trust him. They went inside to join the others, and Oscar revealed that he wanted to take a ride on Jason's motorcycle. Kim, Olivia, and Julian were opposed, but Drew thought it was a good idea. He suggested the ride just be around the property.
Kim went off, worried that her son might suffer a seizure. Jason promised to look out for Oscar, and Josslyn and Cameron chimed in for her to say yes. "Every moment is precious," Kim declared. After mounting pressure, Kim finally relented. "He's wearing a helmet," she declared.
Oscar and Jason returned after a ride, both exhilarated. Oscar was exhausted, too, but he had one last request. He wanted Jason and Drew to figure out how to be brothers. Drew and Jason went off together. While things were awkward, they agreed that Oscar was their "common ground." Jason thanked Drew for trusting Jason with his son; Drew thanked Jason for the ride that Oscar had taken.
4/29 Jason entered Sonny's kitchen and found Sonny cooking for Carly. Sam arrived, and Sonny told them about their last meeting with Kristina. Sonny informed Sam that Milo was going to help her distract Shiloh so that she could find Kristina's pledge. Sam had to get to the Dawn of Day house, so she left. Jason wondered about fallout from Kristina using Alexis' phone, but Sonny said that Max had assured him that everything was fine. Jason figured they would have heard back from whoever Kristina had called, anyway.
A few minutes later, Neil arrived, and Sonny wondered if he'd told Kristina about the Trust ceremony yet. Neil still thought that it was too soon, but he was a little more optimistic in Kristina's progress, as she'd stopped isolating herself. He thought that she would be ready for a family meeting soon, as she'd witnessed Alexis' distress the previous day, and she understood that her family was motivated by love. Neil also thought it was too soon to ask about Kristina's pledge, but Sonny figured that, even if it was about him, the cops had no proof of anything.
Neil mentioned Kristina's phone call and told Jason and Sonny that Kristina had only said she'd called "a friend." Sonny and Jason tried to figure out who the friend was until Jason finally landed on Valerie. Neil feared that the friend would call the cops, but Sonny divulged that Valerie "is the cops." Sonny advised Neil to relax, but Neil also feared that Kristina could be the one to turn her family in.
Sam entered the DOD house, and Shiloh introduced her to “Mark” (Milo working under cover). Milo asked if Shiloh would be at his first class, and Shiloh confirmed that he enjoyed watching the new members find their paths. Milo ran off to the class.
Shiloh wondered if Sam had heard from Kristina. Sam replied that Alexis had relayed that Kristina was still "working things out," and she wished Kristina would return "home to DOD where she belongs."
"Especially before you join the Trust," Shiloh added. He asked if she was ready to finish their "business" in the attic. She answered that she was, but he couldn't abandon the new members. He went off to the class, and Sam made her way upstairs.
Sam picked the lock to the records room and found a color-coded filing cabinet. She looked through a couple drawers until she found her own file filled with notes. "Despite commitment issues, Sam is likely worthy of DOD Trust," she read. She was shocked to find a surveillance-style picture of when Shiloh had had her blindfolded. On the back, she read, "Will be interested to see what secret she pledges."
She scoffed, "You wish, Shiloh.” Sam's phone went off, and she saw a text from Milo that read, "Shiloh looking for you! Get out now!" She quickly put her file away and left the room. Moments later, Shiloh rounded the corner and wondered what she was doing.
4/30 Sam received a text from Milo that urged her to get out of the room quickly, and Sam hastily returned the file and fled the room. She ran into Shiloh, who asked what she was doing. Sam claimed to be looking for an office in order to scan more flyers for the group. Shiloh replied that she shouldn't be on the floor, and Sam asked him what was in the room.
Shiloh unlocked the door to the records room and showed her that there was nothing there, including the office equipment that Sam had been looking for. She asked why the door had been locked when the group claimed to have transparency. Shiloh explained that there were documents that couldn't be shared.
Sam asked if the Trust had access to the room, but she laughed and apologized. Shiloh admitted that they did. Sam was happy to be under consideration for the group, and she told him that she wanted to prove herself in any way that she could. She admitted she was impatient. "Mark" arrived, and he announced that he and Sam were going out to lunch to discuss courses at DOD.
Sam and Milo stood out by the town hall. She told him she had been disturbed by a photo of herself that she hadn't known had been taken. She couldn't trust Shiloh. Sonny arrived, and Sam told the men that she knew where the pledges were kept. She added that members of the Trust had privileges, and she would have to be a member. She would do whatever she had to.
Shiloh returned to the records room and looked around. He pulled open the drawer and pulled out Sam's file. He studied the photo and muttered that he couldn't wait to hear what Sam would reveal.
