Jason & Sam #39 August 27, 2018 - January 9, 2019: 8 hour original edit

DVD #39A Carly went out on the terrace and informed Jason that Mike was asleep. Jason told Carly that Mike thought he was a burden, but Carly replied that Sonny wanted to care for Mike for as long as he could. Inside the house, Sonny looked at a picture of himself and Mike. He addressed his father and said, "I don't know how to do this.”

Kristina admitted to Sam that she wanted to move home, but Parker deserved to hear it in person. On her phone, Sam saw that there was one more seat left on Kristina's flight. Kristina was touched that Sam would fly back with her for moral support. "You're my sister, and I'll always have your back," Sam assured her.

8/28 Jason found Carly having breakfast on the patio at the Corinthos home. He was there to check on Sonny and Mike. Sonny wandered onto the patio and announced that he'd made a decision regarding Mike and the long-term care facilities. He had made appointments to view several facilities, although he hadn't mentioned anything to Mike. Carly promptly declared that she would clear her schedule for the day in order to accompany Sonny, and Jason offered to stick around until Felix arrived to watch Mike.

The doorbell rang, but it was Oscar, not Felix. Carly invited him in and apologized for forgetting that he had planned to visit. She pulled out several photo albums and handed them over to Oscar. The photo albums contained pictures from the Nurses Ball that Oscar could use to make a video for Josslyn. She informed Oscar that Jason would stay behind to keep him company. Jason and Oscar exchanged awkward looks.

Later, as Oscar sat on the sofa, looking through the photos, and Jason paced, Oscar asked if he could ask Jason a question. Jason was agreeable and sat down. Oscar noted that he wanted to "be there" for Josslyn, but lately, he had always seemed to make her angry. She was great at everything, and maybe there were other guys out there who would be better for her. While Jason agreed that that might be true, he reminded Oscar that Josslyn had chosen him.

Jason added that Carly and Josslyn were alike, and he suggested that Oscar "feel Josslyn out." He thought that Oscar should only give advice if asked and that he should be truthful. He stressed that Oscar should not give any advice if not asked. Oscar looked at the time and announced that he had to leave to catch the bus to meet Josslyn at the park. Jason offered a ride on the back of his motorcycle, since Felix had arrived to look after Mike. Oscar agreed but declared that Jason could never tell Kim about it. Jason gave Oscar some last-minute instructions. Suddenly, Oscar seemed to have trouble breathing, and he collapsed. Jason rushed over as Oscar was having a seizure.

8/28-8/31/18 Repeats aired

9/4 Jason searched for Kim at the hospital as Oscar lay unconscious in a treatment bay in the emergency room. He finally found her with Elizabeth and gave her the news. Jason told Kim that Oscar had had a seizure at Sonny's house. Kim thanked Jason for his help and cried that she saw Oscar's father when she looked at Jason while Drew looked like a stranger. Jason did his best to keep her calm. Jason admitted that he'd been bonding with his nephew. Kim advised Jason that a now awake Oscar wanted to see him, and Jason entered Oscar's room. Oscar thanked him for calling the ambulance and for his words regarding Josslyn. Jason returned and declared that Oscar only wanted to leave to get to Josslyn. Jason offered his help if needed, and he left. Jason found Drew and told him about Oscar being in the ER.

9/5 At Metro Court Restaurant, Sonny approached the bar where Alexis was seated. She explained that she had called him because Kristina had returned to town and had asked to see her parents. Moments later, Sam and Kristina arrived. The group exchanged greetings and hugs then Kristina announced that she had made some "big decisions." After Sonny, Alexis, Sam, and Kristina sat down at a nearby table, Kristina revealed that things hadn't worked out in Oregon because she hadn't fit into Parker's life, mainly because she hadn't felt fulfilled without a life of her own that was separate from Parker's.

Alexis was surprised when Kristina explained that Sam had flown to Oregon with her as moral support because Kristina had decided to end things with Parker. Alexis reached for her middle daughter's hand and squeezed it as Kristina admitted that Parker had wanted to try to make things work long-distance; however, Kristina had made a clean break. Sam added that she had persuaded her sister to return home for good. Delighted, Sonny assured his daughter that he was proud of Kristina. Kristina smiled, but she admitted that she needed to regroup and figure out what she wanted to do with her life. Kristina smiled when both of her parents offered her words of support and encouragement, so she seized the opportunity to ask if she could return to her old job at Perks.

Sonny explained that it was impossible because he had an excellent manager in place whom he couldn't fire without a good reason. However, he offered Kristina an entry level job as a barista. Kristina turned it down because she needed something more challenging. Alexis was certain that she could find Kristina a job as a paralegal, but Kristina pointed out that she didn't know anything about the law. Alexis was undaunted because Kristina was intelligent, but Sam tactfully suggested that Alexis allow Kristina to figure out her own career path. Alexis backed down and apologized for being overbearing, but she was happy that Kristina would be moving back in with her.

Kristina carefully reminded her mother that it hadn't worked out well the last time they had lived together, so Sonny invited Kristina to live with him. Sam cleared her throat and explained that she and Kristina had decided that Kristina would move in with Sam. Alexis was leery about the arrangement, but Kristina admitted that she needed some distance from her mother. A short time later, Sam and Kristina left.

9/7 There was a knock on Sam's door, and she answered it to Jason. He was there for Danny's permission slip from school, and he wondered if he should go to meetings at the school with her. She answered that they were boring, and other parents would probably freak out seeing him there anyway. She apologized for not letting him know about her trip to Oregon, but Kristina had needed all of the moral support that Sam had gotten when she'd needed it. Jason thought Sam was a good sister.

There was another knock on Sam's door, and she answered it to Drew, who was less than enthusiastic to see Jason there. Jason insisted that he was just leaving, and Drew said that he was there to see Scout. Jason gave Drew some well wishes for Oscar and left. A few minutes later, Drew was happy to be holding Scout. He remarked on how fast kids grew up and how he wished he could slow it down. Sam offered to talk after she put Scout down, and he agreed.

A few minutes later, Sam returned and asked about Oscar. Drew confided that Oscar had a malignant, inoperable brain tumor, but Kim had decided that it was better for Oscar not to know. He bemoaned that he and Oscar were just getting to know, understand, and trust each other, and he was about to lose his son. Sam reminded him that miracles happened every day, so he should hope for a miracle while spending as much time as possible with Oscar.

Sonny had just hung up the phone after inquiring about the status of Julian's renovation permit when Mike entered the room. He wanted to know how much trouble he'd caused for Sonny, but Sonny assured his father that he had the resources to take care of it. Mike wanted to help, but Sonny demanded that Mike "let it go."

Jason entered, and Sonny told Jason that he had to take Mike to an appointment. Mike suggested that Sonny have his guys drive Mike and his nurse to the appointment so that Sonny and Jason could talk business. Sonny reluctantly agreed, and a short while later, Mike was gone.

Sonny's phone went off, and he answered it to his contact at the city council. When he hung up the phone, he informed Jason that Julian's renovation permit had been approved, and he threw his phone across the room. Jason assured him that they would make sure to set Julian up with a contractor that they controlled, and Jason would inspect the site daily after hours. He promised that, if the body turned up, only they would know. Sonny knew that a lot could still go wrong.

9/10 Sonny told Jason that he thought he'd gotten through to Mike about letting Sonny take care of the body in the foundation of Charlie's. Jason wondered how the gun could even be tied to Sonny, and Sonny admitted that, as a stupid kid, he hadn't worn gloves or wiped his fingerprints away. He remembered Mike warning Sonny to stay away from Joe Scully, just like many people had warned Jason away from Sonny. Jason related that he'd stayed around because Sonny was his friend and because Sonny was one of the only people to respect that Jason could make his own choices.

Sonny continued that Scully had been his mentor, and at that time, he'd done whatever had been the opposite of what Mike had told him. Sonny admitted that, more than anything, he cared about not upsetting his dad. Just then, his phone went off, and Kristina said that she and Mike were "checking in" from Charlie's. Sonny replied that he would pick Mike up, and he hung up. Sonny updated Jason, and the two ran out of the house.

Kristina assured Mike that Sonny would be there to pick him up, but Mike whimpered that Sonny shouldn't be there. "No one's supposed to be here! It's the middle of the night!" he moaned. Kristina pointed out that it was light outside as Mike continued to babble on that no one was supposed to be there. Kristina saw the wrench in Mike's lap and wondered what he was doing.

Julian went down the basement stairs and immediately starting coughing. "Dammit," he choked out as he saw the broken pipe. He ran back up the stairs and announced that there was a gas leak, and everyone had to leave. Someone bumped into Mike, knocking the wrench to the floor. Kristina and Julian helped Mike out of the bar. Across the street, Julian was on the phone, explaining what was going on at Charlie's, including that he believed the pipe had been tampered with.

Kristina sat Mike down and told him that she would be right back. She went back into Charlie's and immediately started coughing. She searched the floor and picked up the wrench. As she turned to leave, she tripped over a toppled chair, hit her head, and fell unconscious on the floor.

Sonny arrived, and Mike stammered that he'd just wanted to help. Julian briefly explained the situation to Jason and wondered if Sonny had any idea what was going on. Julian added that the fire department was on its way, and Jason reported back to Sonny. Sonny asked Mike where Kristina was, and he asked if she'd gone back inside. Mike said he had to go get her, but Sonny stopped him. Jason ran toward the bar. Jason entered the bar and picked Kristina up. She woke up as he started toward the door and told him to get the wrench first.

The sound of sirens grew closer as Mike grew more and more upset. Sonny tried to calm Mike down and reassure him that Kristina would be fine. Mike wailed that it was "all my fault" just as they heard an explosion.

9/11 Sonny, Mike, and Jason were in the parking lot across the street from Charlie's after Julian had evacuated the bar. Mike was extremely agitated and yelled that Kristina had gone back into the bar, and he had to find her. Julian arrived and said that Kristina had been with them moments before.

In the meantime, Jason returned to the bar and found Kristina unconscious on the floor of Charlie's. When he picked Kristina up, she asked him to grab the wrench. With Kristina in his arms, Jason picked up the wrench and left the bar.

Back in the parking lot, Mike remained agitated and in panic mode. He told Sonny that he had to find his granddaughter. Sonny grabbed Mike by his jacket and yelled that Mike had to stay there. Sonny, Mike, and Julian heard the explosion, and Mike became hysterical and screamed, "Oh, God, what have I done?" At that moment, Jason returned carrying Kristina. Mike was in tears, and Jason assured him that Kristina was fine. Sonny took Kristina to the hospital.

The fire department arrived. A firefighter said that Julian had been lucky because the explosion had been contained to the basement. He asked if Julian knew how the fire had started. Mike was still very agitated. He told Sonny that he wanted to see Kristina. Jason took Mike aside and said he'd take Mike to see Kristina, but he warned Mike not to say a word. Jason told Julian that he was taking Mike to the hospital to see Kristina. Julian thanked Jason for rescuing Kristina and admitted he would've been overwrought had anyone been hurt.

Chase arrived and asked Julian what had happened. Julian explained that he'd gone into the basement, and as soon as he'd smelled gas, he'd left the basement and immediately evacuated the bar. Julian didn't know why Kristina had returned to the bar. He mentioned that Mike had been there and freaking out. Chase was surprised that Mike had been there, and he questioned Julian about Mike's presence. He asked Julian if Mike had arrived at the bar alone, because his understanding was that Mike had to be chaperoned at all times.

Julian said he didn't know any of the circumstances, but Mike had arrived with Kristina. Julian said that Kristina had called Sonny before she'd returned to the bar and that Jason had gotten her out. Julian told Chase that he thought Mike was about to really lose it and that Sonny had taken Kristina to the hospital. Chase asked if Julian was certain that he didn't have any knowledge about the cause of the gas leak. Julian confirmed that he had no idea.

Later, a firefighter told Chase he'd found the source of the explosion, and they would require a fire inspector to check it out. He said that someone had broken off the gas valve, but they couldn't find the instrument that had been used. Chase asked if it had been a deliberate act. The firefighter confirmed that it had been. Chase muttered that Charlie's had turned into a crime scene.

Chase asked the firefighter what someone's motive would be for them to sabotage the gas line. The firefighter replied that it could have been arson, insurance fraud, or revenge. Chase added that it could have been someone with a beef against Julian, and that list was a very long. Chase made a call and told someone that he was going to scope out the place. He entered the basement and started to look around. He moved a piece of debris and found a skull.

At Sam's, Drew thanked Sam for allowing him to visit with Scout. He talked to Sam about Oscar's tumor, and Sam advised Drew to take things one day at a time. She wanted him to look for one good moment each day. They hugged, and Sam assured Drew he'd be fine. Sam opened the door for Drew to leave but found Alexis standing there. Alexis hoped she wasn't interrupting anything. Sam told her that Drew had stopped by for a visit with Scout.

After Drew left, Alexis told Sam that she felt Kristina was on a downward spiral. Sam admitted that Kristina was struggling, but Kristina had had the courage to move back home. Sam suggested that Alexis allow Kristina do it at her own pace. Alexis knew that Kristina would be fine because she was smart, and Alexis admitted that she had to stop trying to control Kristina. Alexis claimed she was a loving and supportive mother.

At that moment, Alexis received a call from Sonny, who advised her that Kristina was in the hospital after she'd been involved in an explosion at Charlie's. Alexis and Sam rushed out.

At the hospital, the doctor told Kristina and Sonny that she had a concussion. Mike and Jason arrived. Mike apologized to Kristina. He said he'd done something wrong, and it had resulted in Kristina being injured. Kristina assured him that she was fine but had become confused and gone back into the building. Mike gave Kristina a bouquet of flowers. Jason took Mike to the waiting room while Mike struggled to recall what he'd done.

Alexis and Sam arrived. They wanted to know what had happened. Kristina explained that there had been a gas leak at Charlie's and that Julian had done everything right. He'd evacuated the bar as soon as he'd discovered the leak. Alexis asked why Kristina had gone back to the bar. Shamefaced, Kristina admitted that she'd gone back for her phone.

Sonny and Jason stepped to one side of the room. They both knew that Mike had caused the leak. Jason told Sonny that Mike had used a wrench, and it had been the reason Kristina had gone back into the bar. He assured Sonny that he'd hidden the wrench in the trunk of his car. Sonny was very concerned and said that Mike had gone too far. He said that Mike had tried to blow up a building to get rid of a body. Sonny admitted that Mike was extremely confused and that everything Sonny had done to keep Mike safe hadn't been enough.

Sam returned with news that the doctor had said Kristina was free to go home.

Sonny and Jason were in the hallway, and they both agreed that Mike's behavior had been troublesome. At that moment, Julian arrived and asked about Kristina. Julian told Sonny and Jason that Chase had questioned him about the gas leak. Julian said that Chase had asked why Mike had been there unsupervised. He assured Sonny that he hadn't provided Chase with too much information, and he left.

As Alexis told Sonny that she and Kristina were about to leave, Alexis walked away to answer a phone call. Kristina asked Sonny if Mike was okay. Sonny assured her that Mike was fine. Sonny expressed his gratitude and said he knew what she'd done for Mike. Alexis returned and thanked Sonny, stating that it had been the first explosion that Sonny had had nothing to do with. Kristina and Sonny hugged, and Alexis and Kristina left.

Sonny sat down in front of Mike, who'd been asleep. Sonny gently woke Mike. Mike asked Sonny what he'd done. He knew something bad had happened but couldn't recall what it had been. Sonny suggested that they discuss everything over some lasagna. Mike reluctantly left with Sonny.

Sam approached Jason and thanked him for being there for Kristina. She commented that Jason had recently been very busy saving a lot of people. Jason said he hoped that Oscar would be okay. Sam commented that not everyone could be as lucky as Kristina.

9/13 At Sonny's, Julian said that he knew why Sonny had wanted to buy Charlie's. He mentioned that the police had dug things up in the basement, and he remarked that Mike had known Charlie. Sonny related that Mike had been having trouble distinguishing memories from fantasy. Julian also told Sonny that he would be using a different coffee distributor, since he and Sonny had a "clean slate." As an afterthought, he mentioned that he'd hired Kristina, and he left.

Sonny commented on his "rebel" daughter working for Julian. Jason wondered if he should try to get the evidence from the police station, but Sonny thought it was too risky. Regardless, Jason thought he could shut down the investigation. If he couldn't, he promised to get Sonny out of the country. However, Sonny refused to leave his family, and he vowed not to run.

Sam entered Charlie's and found Kristina behind the bar; she wondered if Kristina was working there to pick a fight with her parents or to avoid thinking about Parker. Kristina made Sam a drink, which Sam liked. Kristina explained that Parker had gotten a new job and a new life along with it, and Kristina didn't fit into. Sam replied that love wasn't enough sometimes. Kristina had always been chasing a purpose in life, but she wondered if she would even know if she found the right fit.

A short while later, Julian tried some of Kristina's drinks and approved. He wondered what Sam thought of Kristina working there, and Sam replied that she was choosing to support her sister. She added that she would be watching Kristina like a hawk while she worked there, and she warned Julian to keep the place "family-friendly." When she was gone, Julian welcomed his family spending more time there.

9/14 Kim arrived at the Quartermaine Mansion for the birthday party. She quickly noticed that no one else was there. As she asked who else would be attending, Sam showed up. Monica told Sam that Michael would not be attending the party because he wasn't in the mood to celebrate. When Monica learned that Sam had put Scout down for a nap, Monica quickly darted off to see her granddaughter.

Alone, Kim and Sam discussed all the things that Michael had been through in recent weeks. Sam opened up about her own loss, revealing to Kim that she had delivered a stillborn child that she had named Lila. Sam then told Kim that Danny had been diagnosed with leukemia at the age of one. Kim's eyes widened, and she asked Sam if Danny was okay. "Miracles happen," Sam responded. She immediately realized that her choice of words might not have been the best.

Kim realized that Sam had to have known about Oscar's diagnosis. Sam confirmed Kim's suspicions, revealing that Drew had told her. Kim was surprised that Drew would tell Sam something so private. "This isn't your business," Kim snapped. Sam reminded Kim that they were family, their kids were siblings, and told Kim that she would be there for her if Kim needed anything.

As things continued to go south, Drew arrived at the mansion. Kim, Sam, and a recently returned Monica grabbed balloons and rather unenthusiastically yelled, "Surprise!" Drew forced a smile and replied with simply, "You guys!” Sam decided that she would leave, but Drew asked that she stay.

9/17 At Anna's, Robin happily answered the door to Jason, and she promptly thanked him for helping to save Anna's life. He wondered how she and Anna were, and Robin replied that their relationship was a "work in progress." She hated that the brother she'd just found out about had stolen five years from Jason. She confided that Anna hadn't wanted Peter to face charges, so Robert had made it happen. She didn't want her brother to go to Steinmauer, but she still thought he deserved punishment for his crimes. Jason assured Robin that he had no intention of retaliating on Peter, out of respect for Robin and Anna.

Jason continued that he'd learned a lot about Anna, who he considered a friend. He respected the choices she'd made, and the consequences she'd carried for them. Robin thought that if Jason could drop his urge for revenge, maybe she could try to form a relationship with Peter. She thought that it would feel like a betrayal of Jason, but he told her that all of Peter's crimes were in the past. Changing the subject, Jason wondered why Robin had never told him that Sam and Patrick had almost been married. She invited him out to dinner if they never spoke of the subject again.

9/18 Sam stopped at the Quartermaines' to pick up her children and found Oscar working on his school project. They shared a hug; she informed him that Scout had fallen asleep, and Danny was with the dog, Annabelle. She had decided to leave them at the house for the night instead. Sam and Oscar made small talk, and Sam suggested that they get together with her kids and hang out soon. They sat on the couch, and Oscar agreed that he'd like that. Sam advised Oscar that she would check dates for a get-together. Drew arrived and was surprised to see Sam. She announced that she wouldn't be taking the kids home with her, and she apologized to Oscar for distracting him from his homework. She asked to speak to Drew privately, and they headed out to the patio.

Out on the patio, Sam was sorry that she had mentioned Oscar to Kim, but Drew assured her that Kim hadn't been used to sharing her relationship with her son. He had just left Kim's place, where he had agreed to wait to tell Oscar about his tumor, but he really wasn't okay with it. He worried because secrets tended to be revealed.

Sam thought it was an "out-of-control" situation for Drew, and he would only have control if he told Oscar. Drew thought that would be dishonest. Sam suggested that Drew lean on her; she felt he had been carrying too much weight. Drew appreciated the offer, but he replied that he couldn't do that. When he was with Sam, he wanted what they had had in the past. Sam wished him luck.

9/20 Sonny wanted to send Jason to Charlie's with a check for Julian to cover the damage of the explosion. Sonny answered the phone when it rang, listened for a second, and begrudgingly said to "send her up."

Jason entered Charlie's and handed the check to Julian, who wondered why Sonny hadn't sent someone at the right "pay grade" to drop it off. Jason replied that he was there to make sure that Julian kept the unspoken agreement to keep quiet about Mike. Julian assured Jason that, while there was a time Julian would have been a threat to Sonny, he had important things in his life that he didn't want to risk while "tangling" with Sonny. Julian wondered if Jason loved Sam enough, as Drew had, not to pull her back into the business. "What Sam does is up to Sam," Jason stated, and he left.

9/21 At Metro Court, Margaux saw Sam sitting at the bar, finishing up a phone call, and sat down beside her. Margaux mentioned her long day and pulled a file out of her case. It was the file on the Charlie's Pub investigation, and she made sure that Sam saw it. Sam eyed the folder as Margaux made small talk, although it was apparent she was attempting to get information related to the investigation and Sonny, Kristina, Julian, and Jason.

Sam told her to "take a number" regarding her pursuit of Jason. Margaux informed her that she was able to "cut the line" as the district attorney, and she was against anyone who had made a career out of organized crime. She thought that Jason should be like Drew and cut the ties. Sam abruptly advised Margaux to stay away from Kristina and to talk to Jason herself if she had questions. An annoyed Sam tossed her money on the bar and left. Margaux received a call from Jordan, who asked to see her.

At Sonny's home, Jason announced that he had made attempts to get details on the victim found in the pub in order for them to stay ahead of the cops. Sonny didn't recall anything about the victim, and he was only concerned that the gun would be found and would tie him and his father to the murder. The only thing Sonny knew was the victim's name. Jason offered to call Spinelli to pursue further information. Sonny noted that innocent people went to jail all the time.

Sonny was certain that the only way the cops would have a case would be if the gun was found, but Jason was sure that the gun wouldn't be with the body. Sam joined them and announced that she'd had a "run-in" with Margaux. "She made it very clear she's gunning for you both," Sam added. "Margaux was playing me," Sam clarified and told the men to "watch your back."

Sonny appreciated hearing from Sam. Just then, he received a phone call from Jordan, who asked to see him, and Sonny left for the police station. Sam suggested that Jason make plans to hang out with Danny and spend more time with him. Jason thought something was wrong and asked Sam to talk to him, but she refused. He promised that he wouldn't get taken away from Danny due to the case, but Sam replied that he didn't know that, and things happened and changed quickly. She also wanted Jason to make peace with Drew.

9/24 Sam asked Jason to try to make peace with Drew, as Drew was dealing with things that she couldn't talk about. She asked him to "be present" at the Quartermaines', and he promised to try. She thanked him, hugged him, and left. Mike descended the stairs as Sam left, and he told Jason that he had the feeling that he'd done something wrong that would hurt Sonny, but he couldn't remember what it was. He added that he'd tried to warn Sonny away from Joe Scully, but Sonny hadn't listened.

Sam sat down next to Curtis at The Metro Court as he got off the phone, and she wondered if he was getting "too close" to the case. He promised that he had no trouble remaining objective. "Lucky you," Sam replied. Curtis offered to listen if she wanted to talk, but she replied that she couldn't talk about it. Curtis guessed that it had to do with Drew, as he'd "been off lately." He wanted to help Drew, and Sam advised him to just be a friend but not to push Drew to talk if he didn't want to.

Curtis believed that, since he and Sam were partners, whatever affected her affected him, so he wondered what the deal was with her and Jason. She thought that they made good partners and friends, but she had no intention of discussing Jason with him. He figured that he was projecting, as he and Jordan were having problems with not everyone being happy about their engagement. He proposed giving it time, but Sam advised him not to wait, as no one knew how long they had to live. He shot back that she should take her own advice.

9/25 Carly walked down the stairs at the Corinthos house and spotted Jason. She told him that she'd settled Josslyn down but chided him because she believed that guys had it easier than women in relationships. The pair settled on the couch, and Jason told her that Sonny had been questioned about the body that had been found at Charlie's Pub. He added that the cops suspected Mike, and he proceeded to give her the details.

Jason informed Carly that the bullet that had been found with the body matched a bullet that had been used in another hit in 1982. They had both been fired from the same gun. The location of the gun was unknown. Jason explained that Sonny had arrived home and questioned Mike, and the old man had been spot-on with the details on moving the body up to a point. Sonny had believed that it wasn't just the Alzheimer's but the facts that Sonny had joined "the business," and Mike had blamed himself, which had damaged Mike's memory. Mike hadn't been able to accept it.

Carly felt that Sonny would have always traveled the same path, but she couldn't believe that a mistake that he'd made at 18 years of age would have the ability to destroy everything. Jason clarified that Mike couldn't recall what he'd done with the gun. Carly asked if there was anything else to worry about, and Jason told her that the victim had been Margaux's father.

Carly was disbelieving, and she pointed out that Margaux already hated Sonny. She was afraid there would be a war. Jason advised her that she had to be on her best behavior which meant no tickets or jaywalking, and no fights in public. Carly denied she fought in public, but after looking at Jason's face, she agreed that she had done it on occasion.

Carly had news about Wiley's ailment, and she told Jason that it was the same heart condition that Michael had had as a baby. Just then, Michael walked in with a box of freshly made chocolate chip cookies from Kelly's for his grandfather. Carly helped herself to one as Michael asked what they'd been talking about. Carly updated him, and nonchalantly wondered what the odds were that the baby had the exact condition as Michael.

Michael informed Carly that less than one in 200,000 babies had the heart condition. He knew because he'd done research prior to Jonah's birth. Michael was happy to hear that Wiley's condition had been caught. Carly confessed that Jason had made all the decisions for Michael when he'd been a baby because she'd been unable to. Jason revealed that he'd been thankful that he hadn't had to second-guess his decisions though it had been awful trying to imagine surgery on a tiny baby.

Carly admitted that she had been overwhelmed when she'd awoken, and she'd fled Port Charles. She was still glad she'd done that, and she'd never doubted that Jason would take care of baby Michael. Jason flashed back to a younger self talking to baby Michael.

9/26 At Sam's place, Alexis praised the breakfast she'd just enjoyed with Kristina and Sam. She had to leave for a meeting with a nervous and worried Brad and Lucas. She added that she would never stop being nervous as a parent, and she asked Kristina if she would be giving Julian notice that she'd be quitting her bartending job.

Kristina took offense and began to argue with her mother. Alexis believed that Kristina could be doing more with her life than bartending, but Kristina noted that she had to pay the bills. She also informed her mother that she hadn't taken the job because it had anything to do with Alexis' own messed-up life. She thought that next time they met, they could discuss whether Alexis was using her maximum potential. Kristina stormed off to the kitchen.

"So much for not hovering," Sam said to Alexis, who apologized. Sam chided her mother, who admitted to trying to force her own desires onto Kristina; however, she hated the direction that Kristina had been headed. Sam was certain she would do the same to her own children, but she thought that Alexis should allow Kristina to "color outside the lines sometimes." Alexis agreed but thought that the coloring shouldn't go too far outside. Alexis left, and Kristina returned.

"Is the firing squad gone?" Kristina asked. Sam berated Kristina and reminded her that she had given Alexis lots of reasons to worry in the past, although Sam credited Kristina for moving back home. Kristina declared that she was all alone, but Sam replied that Kristina had herself and was the only one who couldn't see it. Kristina received a phone call from Julian, who asked her to get to work early, so she told Sam she had to leave. She admitted she'd been eavesdropping from the kitchen and hadn't done the dishes. Sam urged her to go out after work. She didn't want to see Kristina before midnight.

Oscar stood on the pier and looked at all of the missed phone calls and text messages he'd received. As he was about to toss his phone into the water, Jason called out to stop him. "Are you sure you want to do that?" Jason asked. Oscar wondered if Jason had been looking for him, and a confused Jason confirmed that he had been supervising a coffee shipment while watching the ferry. He admitted that he liked to watch the ferry go back and forth forever. "Forever," Oscar repeated.

Oscar sat down, and Jason joined him. "What's it like to die?" Oscar asked. Jason advised the teen that he didn't know because he was still there. Oscar asked him a series of questions about when Jason had been shot and gone into the water. Jason related his experience and what had happened after Faison had kicked him into the water.

"Was there a white light?" Oscar asked. He wondered if Jason's life had flashed before his eyes. Jason replied that there had been no light, but he hadn't felt scared. He didn't remember much else. Oscar assumed that it hadn't been Jason's time, but he wanted to tell Jason a secret. He made Jason promise not to tell anyone. 'I'm dying," Oscar revealed. He told Jason all he knew about the brain tumor that his mother had kept from him for two years. "I won't be alive much longer," Oscar concluded.

Jason urged the teen not to make assumptions because he needed to have the most accurate information. Oscar sadly replied that he didn't want to know anything, and Jason reached out his arm to touch Oscar's shoulder in comfort. Oscar declared that people died, and it wasn't a big deal, but he had no idea what he should do. He was angry with his parents, who hadn't told him when it had been about his life, and they hadn't had the right to not tell him.

Oscar and Jason moved over to the edge of the pier and dangled their feet by the water. Jason told a story about his own teenaged fight with his parents. He had later realized that parents worried when their child was sick. Oscar asked if he should call his parents, and Jason advised him that they were worried, and it would help them to hear from him. He thought it might also help Oscar to help them.

Cameron spotted Josslyn sitting in the school library as she sent someone a text message. She revealed that she hadn't heard from Oscar, and Cameron replied that Oscar had been weird and sick. Josslyn didn't understand, and Cameron flashed back to his conversation with Oscar at the community center. Cameron suggested that Oscar had pretended to be sick and had been ashamed of his behavior.

Josslyn advised Cameron that he had acted worse than Oscar. She wished she knew what was going on. Cameron suggested that perhaps there was a reason that Oscar hadn't been talking, and she didn't want to see it. Josslyn asked for clarification. "Things happen," Cameron replied. He thought that people who loved each other told each other everything.

Just then, Josslyn received a phone call from Kim, who asked if Josslyn had seen Oscar. Josslyn asked if everything was okay, and Kim responded that there had been a family disagreement, and Oscar had been upset and run off. They agreed to keep in touch with each other. Cameron heard from Elizabeth at the same time, asking if he'd seen Oscar. Josslyn was certain that something had happened at the community center, but Cameron repeated that Oscar had been weird and "super sensitive." Josslyn accused him of stalling.

Back at the hospital, Julian assured Drew that he didn't want to be involved in the middle of something, and Drew again said to give Kim some space. At that moment, Kim received a phone call from Oscar, and she and Drew ran off. Julian wondered what was going on. He left Kim another voicemail and apologized. He hoped all was okay.

Kim and Drew got to the pier and ran up to Oscar. As Kim hugged her son, Jason hid and observed. Oscar declared that things were not okay and never would be. Drew promised his son that things were far from over. "Let's go home," Drew said.

Back at Sam's, a knock on the door revealed Jason. "Do you have a minute?" he asked.

9/28 Jason told Sam that he knew about Oscar having cancer. "Who told you?" Sam asked. She was stunned when Jason told her that it was Oscar that had told him. Sam told Jason that she'd had no idea Oscar knew about his health status because Kim had wanted to keep the truth from Oscar. Jason nodded, saying that Oscar had felt betrayed because no one had told him the truth. Sam sighed slightly and said that she had feared that would happen. "Giving Oscar a safe place to talk about stuff? It's a gift," Sam told Jason.

Jason revealed that Oscar had made him promise not to tell anyone about their conversation. Sam knew that the promise was tearing Jason apart. Sam then worried that Oscar's death would devastate Monica. Jason promised to be present, especially for Monica. Jason suggested that they do something at the Quartermaine Mansion to get everyone together.

"Why do we keep having to remind ourselves how precious time is?" Sam asked. Jason said they needed to find a balance in life without taking anything for granted. Sam told Jason that she definitely didn't take him for granted. Jason told Sam that he didn't take her for granted, either.

10/1 At the Floating Rib, Carly answered her ringing phone to Jason and wondered if he was on his way. He revealed that he was at the police station with one of Diane's associates, waiting to be questioned. He assured her that everything would be fine, and he hung up. Carly told Mike that Jason was running late, but he would be there. Lulu approached the table and hugged Mike, who invited her to join them. She wished she could, but she had to get to a meeting, so she left.

Carly remarked on how good Mike's memory had been that day, and he replied that he'd been feeling good. However, he was glad that Sonny wasn't there, as he wanted to talk about what would happen with him next. He revealed that he was lonely at the house, and he worried that another "Avery moment" would happen, "or worse." He thought he needed professional help, and he suggested starting out with an "adult daycare." Carly agreed if it was what Mike wanted, and she thought that Sonny would too.

Lucy approached and greeted Mike, asking to see pictures of his grandchildren, so Carly took the opportunity to excuse herself. A few minutes later, Lucy assured him that she loved reminiscing, but she had a sick friend to take care of, because no one should be sick alone. Mike agreed and told her that he was lucky to have his family around him. Lucy thought that his family was even luckier to have him.

At Kevin's, Ryan talked on the phone about his look-alike patient still believing that he was Kevin. He said that he wanted to increase the patient's sedatives, because complete incapacitation was better than constant "psychological torment." "It's the humane thing to do," he concluded. When he was off the phone, he took out a roll of cord and tested its strength. He wrapped some around his hand and put his hand in his pocket as there was a knock on the door. He opened the door and was shocked to see Laura.

Carly walked by "Kevin" as he looked at his phone and absentmindedly tapped on the table. Carly stopped and told him that he was tapping "help me" in Morse code like her neighbor at Ferncliff. He claimed that he'd looked into the Morse code after Carly had told him about it, and it had to have been a reflex. She wondered about her neighbor, and "Kevin" replied that he assumed the situation was "unchanged." Carly admitted that she still had so many nightmares, she'd been thinking about resuming her therapy. She was puzzled by "Kevin's" unenthusiastic reaction. He instructed her to make an appointment, and he left to call into a phone conference.

Jason explained the situation with the body to Henry, Diane's associate, and he instructed Henry to do whatever it took to shut the district attorney down. Jordan and Margaux entered the interrogation room, and Henry wondered why Margaux hadn't recused herself yet. Jordan assured him that she would once there were charges being pressed. Henry informed the women that Jason would have been in kindergarten when Margaux's father had been murdered, so he asked if there was any new information.

Margaux talked about Sonny and Mike's connection to Joe Scully, and Sonny's attempts to buy Charlie's. She believed that Sonny had killed her father, and Mike had been helping to cover it up. She went on about Jason putting Sam and his children in the shoes of Margaux and her mother. Henry advised Jordan to rein Margaux in before she caused a harassment suit. Jordan advised Jason and Henry that they were free to go, but she would call if she had any more questions.

When the men were gone, Margaux apologized for going "over the top," and Jordan demanded that Margaux pull herself together and recuse herself, because she had crossed the line. Margaux still wanted to get to Sonny through Mike, but Jordan forbade it. Margaux thought that it sounded like Jordan was giving up, but Jordan denied that she was. Margaux realized that there was "another way to nail Sonny."

Jason arrived at the Floating Rib and assured Carly and Mike that the cops had nothing on Sonny as long as they didn't find the gun. Mike insisted that no one would find the gun, as he remembered "clear as day" what he'd done with it. He remembered taking the gun with him after unearthing the body, and he'd dropped the gun in the Hudson River on his way to Charlie's. "That gun's been sleeping with the fishes at the bottom of the Hudson for decades," he assured a relieved Carly and Jason.

10/2 At Sonny's house, Laura got Mike settled and joined Jason in the parlor. She revealed that Mike wanted to be the one to tell Sonny what had happened to the gun in Marino's murder, and Carly wondered whether his story had been true or made up. "Sonny's in the clear?" she asked. "No," replied Jason. He explained that the police still believed that Mike had covered up for the murder that Sonny had committed, and Margaux had been making it personal.

Carly suggested that Diane discredit Margaux, but Jason didn't believe it would be that easy. He thought that Sonny would want to protect Mike, especially because he was vulnerable. He added that Margaux wanted to avenge her father's death and would break the rules. "We have to shut her down," Jason announced.

Margaux and Jordan met at the police station. Jordan advised the district attorney that her case might have to go unsolved. Margaux wasn't satisfied, and she suggested they "flip" Sonny's right-hand man. Margaux reminded Jordan that Jason knew everything about Sonny, although Jordan reminded Margaux that Jason hadn't said a word during their previous interrogation session. Margaux thought they could find a reason to make him return, and they could question him without his lawyer.

Jordan was annoyed and responded that they had no evidence. She also thought that Margaux was too close to the case, especially if she wanted to thwart Jason's right to counsel. Jordan added that Jason had never cooperated, and she thought that Margaux was obsessed with the case. Jordan believed that the case would just stay open until another clue turned up, although not from Jason. Margaux announced that she had to leave.

Carly joined Jason out on the terrace, and they both sipped beer. Carly thought that something was strange with Oscar, but she went back to their previous discussion and announced that they had to stop Margaux. Jason said they needed leverage. There had to be something they could hold over her, and he would keep digging. Carly thought it would be a good idea for Margaux to learn that her father wasn't worth avenging.

Carly thought that Margaux seemed self-righteous, and she saw her father as an innocent victim. Carly asked Jason if he'd ever seen a mob lawyer like Diane, for example. Their attorney knew who she worked for and what they did. Carly believed they needed to take a closer look at Margaux's father. She thought that Spinelli could investigate, and Jason could take the information to the police. Jason insisted that Sonny had to be the one to divulge any information because it was his problem. Carly thought it was Jason's problem too. She wondered if Margaux might be after Jason again.

10/4 Carly descended the stairs as she gushed to Jason about the tea party Avery was holding for Mike. The phone rang, and Carly answered it to Milo. She listened for a moment, said, "Send her up," and hung up the phone. Jason asked if Margaux was there again. "Worse," Carly replied. Carly let Ava into the house. Ava was there to take Avery to ballet. Carly informed Ava that Avery was "in a meeting" and wasn't taking visitors.

Jason thought it was time for Ava to go, but Ava told him that he would be in Russia or dead if it wasn't for her. He reminded her that, not only had he gotten the formula for her facial surgery, but Morgan had been his godson. Carly remembered that Jason had somewhere to be, and before he left, he made sure that Carly would be all right. When he was gone, Carly figured that it was tough for Ava, since the whole town knew that Griffin had dumped her for Kiki. Carly continued to goad Ava and concluded by saying that "all your men seem to prefer Kiki."

Ava instructed Carly to tell Sonny that she would be by to get Avery the next day, but Carly refused. She informed Ava that the next day was the anniversary of Morgan's death, and the family would be attending a memorial for him. "My son is dead because of you. Get the hell out of my house," Carly growled, and Ava left as Carly looked at a picture of Michael and Morgan.

"There she is!" Sam remarked as Kristina dragged herself down the stairs. She asked Kristina how her night had been. Kristina replied, "You don't wanna know," and slinked off to the kitchen for coffee. When she returned, there was a knock on the door, and Sam let Jason in. Kristina again thanked Jason for saving her life, and Jason was just glad that she was all right. Kristina had errands to run, so she advised Sam and Jason to "make use of the privacy," and Sam all but pushed her sister out the door.

A short while later, Sam entered the condo with Danny while covering his eyes. When she finally uncovered them, he saw Jason and ran to him exclaiming, "Daddy!" The two embraced, and Sam suggested that Danny show Jason the book he'd made about families while she got some snacks together. Jason read in the book about different kinds of families as Sam looked on. When Sam returned with the snacks, Jason told Danny how much he'd learned about families. Danny remarked that families were people who loved each other, and he wondered if Jason loved Sam, which caught Sam's attention.

10/5 Danny and Jason sat on the sofa at Sam's place and talked about families. Danny asked Jason if he loved Mommy, and Jason replied that he loved her very much. Sam had been getting some snacks ready, and she stopped what she was doing. "I love Mommy, too," Danny declared. Sam smiled, and Jason added that Mommy loved both Danny and Scout. Danny wondered if she loved Jason, and Jason told him to ask Mommy.

Sam delivered the trayful of snacks but urged Danny to eat quickly because Monica would be by to take him and Scout back to her house for the night. Jason agreed to put together Danny's toy castle while the boy was gone. Sam told Jason he'd be sorry. After Danny had gone, Sam and Jason sat at the table with little Lego pieces everywhere. Sam didn't have the directions, but Jason had faith they could do it. Sam agreed that "trial and error" could work. She admitted that she had built another toy in the past that Danny had thought was "cool," although it hadn't resembled the photo. As Sam reached for a piece, Jason did, too, and his hand covered hers.

Later, Sam gloated over the finished product, although it didn't look the way it was supposed to. She added that she would give it, at the most, an hour to remain standing after Danny touched it. Jason admitted he had enjoyed working with Sam, and he wanted her to let him know if he had to rebuild. Sam thanked him and kissed him on the cheek. Jason turned toward her, and they began to kiss.

10/8 Jason was ready to leave Sam's place, and she thanked him for the day. As she leaned over to kiss him on the cheek, Jason turned, and they began a slow, passionate kiss. Jason began to unbutton Sam's shirt. He kicked the front door shut, picked Sam up, and carried her over to the sofa. As they kissed, the sound of jingling keys distracted them. Suddenly, the front door opened, and Alexis walked inside. The couple quickly sat up.

Alexis apologized and announced that she had stopped by to pick up Kristina's wallet. Sam was clearly annoyed, and Jason decided it was time to leave. "Traitor," Sam whispered to him. "You're welcome," Alexis said once Jason was gone. She declared that she had gotten there "in the nick of time."

Shortly after, Sam descended the stairs in her change of clothes for Morgan's memorial service. She was still annoyed at Alexis and was surprised to see her mother still there. Alexis wondered if Sam wanted to talk about it. "Are you back with Jason?" Alexis asked. Sam emphasized that her relationship was none of Alexis' business. Alexis was dismayed that Sam had used the word "relationship" and told her daughter that she didn't want to see Sam get hurt.

Sam indicated that she would deal with it herself, whether good or bad. She noted that Alexis was still wearing her mother's watch, and Alexis was upset to see that the watch had stopped at the same time, 10:10 a.m., as it had prior to her getting it fixed. The jeweler had assured her it was in perfect working order, but she was glad she'd decided to keep it.

Alexis added that the watch was all she had left of her mother, and someone had told her to keep it in the spirit it had been given to her mother, which was love. Sam wanted to know who had said it, and she couldn't believe it might have been Julian. The women headed out the door.

Jason arrived, and Carly hugged him tearfully. Sonny hugged Jason and wished that Jason had known Morgan as a grown man. Avery announced that she wanted to start, and Sonny told her they needed to wait for everyone. Sam arrived with a big smile for Jason and grabbed his hand. Laura and Lulu showed up, and there were hugs all around. As "Heaven Got Another Angel" played in the background, the group released huge lighted lanterns into the sky.

Sam and Jason returned to Sam's place. Jason thought it would be a fun idea for Danny to see a lighted lantern and thought they could go to the bridge to release it. Sam replied that they would be there. After an awkward moment, Jason said goodnight. As he headed to the door, Sam told him she wanted him to stay.

10/9 Jason was ready to leave Sam's place, but she asked him to stay in order to talk. She offered him a drink, and she fetched a bottle of red wine, which Jason managed to open. Sam was aware that Jason was a beer drinker, but she admitted that her tastes had changed over the past five years. Jason stated that Sam could tell him anything. "I hope so," she replied.

Sam stuttered and stammered and admitted that their kiss had meant something to her. It would have been easy to keep going, but she couldn't do that yet. She thought the situation was weird, but Jason understood that she was still "rebuilding." Sam admitted that her feelings for him had returned after their kiss. They both agreed they wanted each other, but Sam wasn't ready. "I get it," Jason insisted. He would wait for her, and if something changed in the meantime, she could let him know. They sat with their glasses of red wine, and Jason assured Sam that he wasn't going anywhere.

Jason tasted the wine and admitted it wasn't bad. "Here's to cold showers," he said. He could get used to them like the red wine, he added. Sam noted that they had forgotten to toast. "New beginnings," she said. They were interrupted when they heard a knock at the door. Sam assumed it was her mother, who knew better than to walk right in again. Sam opened the door, and it was Drew. He saw Jason, and he apologized, stating that he should have called. Sam insisted he join them, and she was glad they were all together. She thought they should be honest with each other about Oscar's situation. She told Drew that Jason had found Oscar at the pier and had insisted Oscar call his parents.

Jason expressed his sorrow for Oscar's plight, and Drew thanked him for having Oscar make the phone call. Drew apologized for interrupting and quickly left. Both Jason and Sam sighed. Sam wished she could help Drew. She knew that it also hurt Drew to be around her. They led separate lives, but she didn't want him hurting. Sam concluded that all she could do was wait for him and say a prayer. She thought she sounded like Jason. Sam turned the wine bottle over to pour another glass, but it was empty. Jason thought it was time for him to go, and Sam thanked him for the talk. He advised her that the next time, they would be sharing a bottle of beer.

10/10 Sonny waited for an update on his father and admitted to Jason that Stella had told him to wait at home in order for Mike to make his own decision on daycare. Jason wanted to talk about Margaux, and Sonny told him what had happened at Morgan's grave. Sonny announced that every time he went to visit his son, he would have to see the grave of the person he'd killed. He was clearly annoyed. Jason wanted Sonny to be careful because Margaux had a personal grudge against him.

Sonny clarified that a personal grudge meant that Margaux would be more dangerous but sloppy. He thought they should strategize after they discovered Margaux's plan but Jason disagreed. He thought they should make their own strategy first. Sonny was adamant that his family had gone through too much in the past couple of years, and he needed a break.

Jason revealed that Spinelli had been investigating Marino, and it had been Carly's idea to prove that Margaux's father hadn't been a hero. Sonny recalled that Marino had always had a lot of money, and Jason imagined that he had to have been a willing participant in the mob business. They had to be able to show that.

Carly, Stella, and Mike returned home. Mike announced that he'd met lots of people, and it had been a bit overwhelming. "They have cards," Mike revealed. Stella stated that she could provide Mike with a buddy in the beginning, but Sonny was concerned that Mike would get into gambling. Mike pointed out that the people played with chips or pennies, and there were no loan sharks. Carly thought it was a great place, and she reminded Mike that he would return home every night for dinner.

Sonny agreed that he was okay with daycare if Mike wanted it. Stella said she would make the arrangements, and she would take Mike on the first day. Mike walked Stella to the door and thanked her. Stella thought the daycare was the best thing for both Mike and Sonny. Mike returned and went upstairs to nap, and Sonny, Carly, and Jason sat down. Carly assured Sonny that the daycare was nice, and Mike wanted to go. She told the guys about the "cozy breakfast" she'd seen at Metro Court.

Carly was concerned that Drew could remember every detail of Jason's crimes prior to the past five years. Jason declared that they wouldn't be admissible in court, and he had always been careful. Sonny believe that Margaux would be going after him in a different way. Her father had been dirty, but there was no guarantee that she would back off.

10/12 Alexis, Kristina, and Sam sat down at a table outside Kelly's. Alexis droned on about Molly's outstanding GRE test score, and Kristina looked uncomfortable. Kristina announced that she wanted to talk about Sam and Jason, but that was off the table. The women were interrupted when a harried Brad walked by with Wiley. Kristina offered to run inside to get Brad some coffee.

Brad noted that Kristina didn't seem to be herself, but Alexis assured him it was the latest minor crisis. Brad admitted he'd been through it, and Sam suggested that Kristina would survive just like Brad had. Brad was grateful for the coffee and thought it would help him before he took Wiley off to the passport office.

Sam teased that fatherhood was causing Brad to have to flee the country, and Brad flashed back to Nelle giving him her baby. As he sat quietly in his own thoughts, the Davis women stared at him until Sam and Kristina began to joke. Brad decided he had to leave, and Sam asked, "Did Brad seem off?" Kristina suggested their family had intimidated him, but Alexis thought he had a lot on his mind as the father of a newborn. Kristina announced that she had to leave to meet with some friends, although Alexis tried to convince her to stay for more celebrating with Molly and T.J. Kristina replied that she had reached her "celebration threshold," and she departed. Alexis wondered if Kristina really had anywhere to go, and she was sorry she'd been talking about Molly so much. She thought that Kristina could do just as well on the test. Sam replied that Kristina had to figure out her own life. Alexis bragged that she'd shown restraint because she really wanted to sit Kristina down and give her ideas for her life's plan. Sam hastily suggested that her mother wasn't really serious, and the pair headed off.

1015 There was a knock at Sam's door, and she answered it to Elizabeth, who wanted to talk about Drew. She started that Drew needed all the support he could get, but Sam replied that he'd made it clear that he couldn't turn to Sam. Elizabeth suggested that it was because Sam had run right back to Jason. Sam defensively thought that Elizabeth was there to tell her to stay away from Jason for Drew's sake. Elizabeth clarified that Drew would probably have an easier time if he wasn't watching Sam and Jason get back together while his son was dying of cancer.

Elizabeth continued that she just wanted to put her and Sam's pasts aside so they could "work together to make things easier for Drew." Sam recognized that Elizabeth's heart was in the right place, and the two agreed that Drew needed all the support he could get. A short while later, Elizabeth was gone, and there was another knock on Sam's door. She opened the door to Drew.

Jason handed Spinelli's preliminary report on Vincent Marino to Sonny. He explained that Vincent wasn't all that innocent, as it appeared that he'd enjoyed his time with Joe Scully. He'd had a high-profile case lined up, and he'd cosigned on a beach house with Joe. Jason only needed the real reasons why Joe had wanted Vincent dead and why Joe had chosen Sonny to carry out the murder. Sonny revealed that Joe had always had his own hidden objectives. They agreed that they were missing something.

Carly and Michael entered the house and updated Sonny and Jason on Nelle's fate. Michael overthought Nelle's last comment to him, but Sonny assured him that Nelle had just been trying to get under Michael's skin. Michael replied that Nelle had been right that the two would always be connected through their grief. Jason assured Carly that everyone could finally heal from Nelle. Carly admitted that Nelle had almost broken Carly, but Jason reminded Carly's that she'd won, and Nelle would finally be out of their lives forever.

10/16 Monica was surprised when Jason paid her a visit at home, but he knew she was upset about Oscar. They shared a hug. Monica told her son how great he'd been when she'd had breast cancer, and Jason recalled not realizing he'd known so much about it until Robin had mentioned it. Monica disclosed that she'd pretended to be strong around others, but she had been herself around Jason and she'd been scared. She knew that he always wanted to help the people he loved. They grasped hands. "So how will I take care of you?" Jason asked.

Monica admitted she was terrified, and she couldn't believe that Oscar could be taken from her. Jason thought he was a great kid, and Monica revealed that it seemed as though Oscar had given up. She noted that he would either beat the odds or he wouldn't. She broke down, and Jason comforted her. Jason gave Monica a glass of water. She knew it was difficult for Drew to be around Jason, but she assured Jason that he was helping. Jason revealed that he felt bad for both Drew and Oscar, and he was sorry for Monica, who had lost so many other people she had loved. "This sucks," Monica said, surprising both Jason and herself.

She urged Jason to spend time with Oscar and get to know him so they could both remember him together. Monica thanked Jason profusely for stopping by. Jason declared that he loved her, and her grandchildren were lucky to have her. He knew that she would "fight to the death" for family. He knew that she had been searching for help for Oscar. "You have never given up," he said. Monica thought that deceased family members would want them to lead "purposeful" lives, and she wanted Oscar to have a chance.

Drew visited with Sam, and he admitted that he wanted to talk to her more than anyone else. They sat on the couch, and Sam announced that she was there for him. Drew explained that he wanted Oscar to live his life in the best way, though he didn't know what that meant. Sam stated that Drew didn't have to be alone. Drew felt overwhelmed, and he talked about all the people who knew or didn't know about Oscar, but they were all tied together. He mentioned Monica, who had bonded quickly with Oscar and who had already lost so much. He couldn't stand the thought of her losing someone else.

He declared that he just wanted to be a good dad, and he couldn't think about only Oscar.Sam replied that Drew needed to stay focused for Oscar, who would hopefully be around for a long time. Drew recalled that Sam had always said, "Find grace in every day." She added that the "little moments" were everywhere and were all that mattered. Sam asked to hear three things about Oscar, and Drew stated that Oscar was into boxing, loved music, and crossed his arms when in thought, just like Drew. "Those are the moments that resonate," Sam said. Drew didn't think there had been enough, but Sam said there were "more to come." She thought they would get more eye rolls and love.

Just then, Scout began to cry, and Drew asked if he could get her. Sam sent Drew upstairs, and he returned with Scout in his arms. The parents bonded with the little girl, and Sam insisted that Scout needed to go to sleep. Drew told Scout that her mother gave good advice.

10/19 Jason and Sonny met at Sonny's place, and Sonny reported that he'd spoken to Drew, who had the power to get Sonny taken away from his loved ones. He thought that Drew had seemed pressured for some reason. Jason declared that Margaux would not take Sonny down. Jason added that Margaux's vendetta against Sonny made no sense, especially because Sonny had only been 18 years old when he'd been involved with Scully, and Margaux's father had worked for Scully, also. He thought they needed to prove that Marino hadn't been the "sainted victim" that Margaux believed he had been.

Jason revealed that Marino had leased a new office, which had been a big upgrade, and he hadn't appeared to be trying to get loose from the mob like Margaux thought. Sonny thought an alternative could have been that Marino had been working with the cops. Jason agreed that Marino could have been trying to keep up appearances. Sonny stated that Margaux wouldn't believe that Sonny was not the reason for her father's death.

"Once I'm done with her, she'll have to," Sam declared as she walked in. She disclosed that she had done some research on the case at the library. As she pulled some papers out of a large envelope, she revealed that Spinelli had turned the case over to her because he'd been forced to vacation with Ellie. She added that she and Curtis had mutually agreed to take exclusive cases.

Sonny announced that he had to go upstairs to spend some time with Avery. "We're not going anywhere," Jason said. Once Sonny was gone, Jason informed Sam that Sonny wasn't aware of what was going on with Oscar but knew that something was wrong with Drew. Sam revealed that Drew had surprised her by stopping over to see her even though he had expressed a desire to not talk to her. Jason was glad that Sam could help Drew and mentioned that he had visited with a struggling Monica.

Sam couldn't believe that Jason wasn't surprised about Spinelli dumping the case in her lap. She advised Jason that Spinelli only wanted to play matchmaker again. "He believes in us," she said. Jason offered to talk to Spinelli, but Sam didn't think Spinelli would listen. She stated that he had been pushing and acting like a child, and she already had two children. She didn't want Jason to do anything, but she was frustrated. Sam clarified that she and Jason weren't ready to be together.

Sonny returned and asked what Sam and Jason were talking about. Sam spoke about Marino and what she had learned about him. She handed out an old photo of the Marino family, which included a young Margaux. Sonny recognized Marino's wife and wracked his brain. He suddenly recalled that she had been having an affair with Scully and realized that that had been a motive for murder.

10/23 Sam opened her front door and saw Jason holding up an obviously inebriated Kristina, who called Jason her "white knight." Sam helped a stumbling Kristina over to the couch, where Kristina announced that she was not drunk. Jason informed Sam that Kristina had lost her keys in the park. Kristina explained that she had been contemplating her bad decisions like Sam, who had been letting the "Grade A hunk" go to waste.

Jason turned away while trying not to laugh as Kristina continued to babble. She said that everyone knew that Jason and Sam were "hot" for each other. Sam tried to quiet her sister as she awkwardly turned to look at Jason, and she advised Kristina that she and Jason didn't have to answer to Kristina. Sam added that Kristina had to follow her rules, though, and she sent Kristina upstairs to take a shower. Kristina tripped up the stairs.

Sam couldn't believe that Kristina had been drinking in the park alone. Jason revealed that Kristina had called Parker, and Sam immediately understood. She declared that Kristina would have to learn that "life really goes on." She thanked Jason for returning Kristina and noted that her sister would never be a relationship counselor. Kristina shrieked that she needed to return downstairs to get a glass of water. "Don't be naked," Kristina shouted.

Sam was sorry, and Jason took it as his cue to leave. Kristina descended the stairs and asked if Sam would evict her. Sam handed her a mug of water and assured her she'd get another chance. Sam was wondering if she should tell Alexis about it, because she didn't want to be an enabler. Kristina accused Sam of avoiding Jason, and she told Sam about Alexis stopping by the pub to discuss Kristina's future. Kristina had called Parker and learned she'd moved on, while Kristina was stuck in Port Charles. Sam replied that Alexis had been worried about Kristina, but Sam would talk to Alexis. Kristina admitted she was a mess, and Sam replied that Kristina shouldn't drink to get back on track. She didn't know the right way to do it but would let Kristina know. The sisters sat on the sofa, and Sam wrapped her arm around Kristina.

10/24 Kim paid a visit to Sam and tearfully said that she needed Sam's help in order to save Oscar's life. Sam was shaken and asked if Oscar was in the hospital. Kim jumped from topic to topic and apologized for being "all over the place." Sam sat her down on the couch and offered her some coffee. Kim declined and explained that the drug trial was scheduled to begin on December first, but Oscar had refused to take part in it. He wanted control of all decisions and had obtained an attorney.

Sam couldn't believe that an attorney would take Oscar's case, and Kim revealed that Sam's mother was Oscar's lawyer. Kim hadn't been able to reach Oscar, and Sam assured her that he probably needed some time. Kim admitted that she'd tried to get Alexis to drop the case, but she had been too emotional. Sam thought that things could be straightened out by December first. Kim told her that Alexis wouldn't listen to her, but maybe she would listen to Sam. Kim went on to say that Oscar had been afraid that the drug trial would shorten his life, but all treatment had risks. If he didn't participate in the trial, he would die for sure. She thought that Sam would understand because Danny had had leukemia, and she thought that Sam could convince Alexis to help save Oscar.

Sam wasn't sure she wanted to get involved, especially if there was a chance that the trial could cause Oscar to be brain dead. Kim replied that that was the worst-case scenario, but Sam thought it was Oscar's risk to take. She told Kim about Jason's brain tumor and how she'd let him make his own decision regarding surgery. Kim insisted that Oscar was a child, and the trial was his only chance to live. She cried that she and Sam were family because of their kids, and she needed Sam's help. Sam believed that Alexis thought she could handle the case, and she didn't have that kind of influence over Alexis. She thought there might be only one person who did.

10/25 Jason arrived at Sam's and was happy to see that Spinelli was also there. Spinelli inquired on the status of Jason and Sam's relationship, and Jason reminded Spinelli that he'd warned Spinelli to stop matchmaking. Spinelli agreed and got to the point of his visit. He revealed that Vincent had had a "substantial" life insurance policy, but his wife, Margaux's mother, Jeanette, had never tried to collect the money. Jason and Spinelli speculated on why that was, since she'd been cheating on Vincent. Sam suggested that Jeanette had been in love with two men, and she'd been holding out hope that Vincent was still alive.

Spinelli thought that Sam could be projecting, and Jason was confused. Sam explained that, a couple years after Jason had disappeared, she'd been pressured into declaring him dead. Jason expressed regret that she'd had to go through that. Spinelli informed them that there was more, but he was interrupted by a knock on the door, and Sam let Sonny in. Sonny informed them that he'd found Margaux talking to Kristina at Charlie's, and Margaux had "crossed a line." Jason assured Sonny that they would stop Margaux.

Spinelli continued that, hours after Vincent's remains had been identified, Jeanette had filed a claim for the insurance money. However, the insurance company had withheld the payments due to years of no paid premiums and the fact that it had been a murder. Sam realized that the insurance company had probably opened its own investigation, but Jeanette probably had some answers. Sonny said that they needed the proof to make Margaux back off, because he couldn't handle any more damage to his family.

10/26 In New Jersey, Sam and Spinelli were dressed in formal business attire as they approached Margaux's childhood home. Sam confessed that she had missed working undercover with Spinelli, but Spinelli was disappointed that Jason hadn't been able to join them. Moments later, Jeanette Marino opened the door and invited the insurance representatives into her home. They discussed the recent discovery of Jeanette's husband's body before Sam steered the conversation to Jeanette's financial situation as a widow with a small child. Jeanette revealed that she had worked part-time, and she had received a lot of support from her family.

Spinelli explained that three months after reporting that Vincent had vanished, Jeanette had stopped paying the premium on his life insurance policy. Sam added that the policy had lapsed in September 1985. Jeanette was stunned that she would not receive anything from the life insurance policy, but Spinelli assured her that not all was lost. He explained that she might be able to collect if she could prove that her husband had died between January and August 1985. Without hesitation, Jeanette revealed that her husband had died in March 1985. Sam was curious how Jeanette could be certain about the month, so Jeanette admitted that she had known when her husband had walked out the door that he'd been heading toward his death.

Sam and Jeanette sat down on the sofa, and Sam asked the woman how she could have known that her husband would die. "My husband had some very dangerous clients," she explained. When he hadn't returned home, Mrs. Marino said that she'd notified the police the next day. The police had not seemed to take her concerns seriously. There was no way, Jeanette said, that her husband would have walked away from his daughter. As for why she'd stopped paying the insurance premium, Mrs. Marino said that she'd known that if her husband was really dead, there would be no way that his body would ever be found.

Spinelli interrupted to note that seven years after Vincent Marino had vanished, he could have been declared legally dead. Jeanette held up a photo of a young Margaux and said that she hadn't wanted to have her husband declared dead because she could not bear to tell Margaux that she'd never see her father again. "She believed in him," Jeanette said. Sam nodded in agreement before glaring at Spinelli. Spinelli blotted his head with a handkerchief and announced that he suddenly felt unwell. "Bobby, did you stop taking your medication?" Sam asked. Spinelli claimed to have "a touch of the hypoglycemia" and that he needed to take a pill at a certain time every day.

Jeanette took Spinelli to the kitchen for a glass of water. With both of them out of the room, Sam donned a pair of black gloves and started rummaging around the desk. Her face grew serious when she found a locked drawer. Sam picked the lock and searched the contents of the drawer. In the back corner of the drawer, she found a stack of letters tied in a light blue ribbon. Every enveloped was addressed to Jeanette Marino at 1255 Stone Street in Princeton, New Jersey, and sent by Joe Scully in Brooklyn, New York.

Spinelli loudly thanked Jeanette for the orange juice she had given him, signaling to Sam that she needed to wrap up her sleuthing. She stashed the envelopes in her briefcase and sat back down on the sofa. Jeanette asked if they could finish the review at a later date because talking about Vincent was still hard to do. Sam said they would head back to the office to pitch Jeanette's claim to the higher-ups. Jeanette was pleased that she might still get an insurance payout.

Outside just a few feet from the Marino front door, Sam showed Spinelli the stack of letters she'd swiped. Sam said it seemed clear that Joe had been willing to kill for Jeanette.

10/29 Jason and Sam read through Jeanette's letters, looking for anything incriminating, and they speculated on how she'd obtained the letters that she'd written to Joe Scully. "Love does make you do crazy things," Sam commented with a long look at Jason. Sam related that she almost felt sorry for Margaux, since she'd made a "fairy tale" up about her father. However, Margaux had seemingly been targeting Sonny's family one by one, and she wondered who was next.

Jason related that people sometimes put things on their kids without meaning to. If something happened to him, he didn't want his kids to think he was innocent, and Sam promised not to lie to them. Jason didn't want his boys to follow in his footsteps, and Sam agreed that she didn't want Scout to be like she'd been when she'd been younger. The two looked through more letters until Jason said, "Bingo!" He showed Sam the letter, and she read, "The only way for us to be together is if Vincent were gone. You're the one who told me you would do anything for me. If you meant that, then prove it for us. Yours forever, Jeanette." Jason immediately texted Sonny.

Sam and Jason were speculating on why Jeanette would have kept an incriminating letter for three decades; there was a knock on the door. Sam answered the door to Sonny, and she updated him on her and Spinelli's investigation. "Well, I'll be damned," Sonny muttered as Jason showed him the letter. "If this doesn't back Margaux off, I don't know what will," Jason said. Sonny thanked them profusely and realized that he just needed to decide the best way to use his new leverage.

10/30 After looking at Jeanette's letter to Scully at Sam's place, Sonny declared that he finally had his leverage against Margaux, although he wasn't certain how to use it. Jason reiterated that it had been Jeanette's idea to get rid of her husband, and the letter would "blindside" Margaux. Sonny thought it might "liberate" Margaux instead, although he was concerned that there might be other letters with his name mentioned.

Sonny talked about how Margaux had gone after his various family members and had even had her father buried near Morgan. Sam declared that Margaux could look at the letters, and she could send her own mother to prison or "back the hell off." Jason agreed. Sonny thought that it would be difficult for Margaux to hear that her own mother had been behind her father's murder, but he understood her better. He wouldn't want to be Jeanette after Margaux learned the truth.

Sonny declared that he had been the one to pull the trigger, but Margaux had to be stopped. He stated that he owed Sam and Jason. "I plan to take it from here," Sonny declared. Sam wondered how he would tell Margaux, and Jason reminded them that there could still be something in writing somewhere that named Sonny. Sonny stressed that Margaux had to learn that her revered father had not been innocent, and her past had been a lie. He wanted her to lose her motive to keep after him. Jason offered to be the one to tell Margaux. While Sonny thought that was a good idea, he wanted to be the one to confront her. He left Sam's and placed a call to Margaux, asking that she meet him.

10/31 Jake, dressed as Jack Skellington, was instructing Jason on pumpkin carving when there was a knock on the door. He let in Sam and Danny, who he was pleasantly surprised to see had dressed up as Jason for Halloween. Sam told the boys to draw a face on their pumpkin, and she would carve it. She told the boys that, years before, she'd decorated the house for Halloween, and Jason had returned home, not realizing what day it was. As Sam carved the pumpkin, Jason explained that he wasn't a big fan of Halloween because he couldn't remember celebrating the holiday as a child.

A short while later, Sam showed Jason, Danny, and Jake the pumpkin, and the three were impressed with her skills. Later, Jake was asleep on Jason, so he carried his son to bed. Danny sleepily told Sam that he was glad she'd stayed, and she agreed. Minutes later, Jason emerged from the boys' bedroom and informed Sam that they were both asleep. Jason thanked her for staying, because he felt that he'd been "in over my head" with Halloween. Sam figured that Jason had done something right, since Danny had wanted to be Jason for Halloween.

Jason asked if Danny's past costumes had been as corny as Scout's goat costume. Sam admitted that she'd dressed their son as a jalapeno, a lobster, and "superhero after superhero." Sam said that she wasn't sad or mad about all of Jason's missed holidays, because she was grateful that he was there at that moment. They got closer until a clap of thunder made them jump apart. Sam thought she should go, so she took her time getting her coat and walking out the door. When Jason closed the door, they both leaned against their own side of it.

11/5 Carly paid a visit to Jason and gave him a hug. She confided that she wasn't okay, and the person who had murdered Mary Pat had been a monster. Jason apologized for not checking on Carly, but he had been with his sons. Carly admitted that she had answered Jordan's questions, which had been "unsettling but understandable." She told Jason about her trip to Ferncliff and her remarks to Mary Pat.

Carly confessed that she had hated Mary Pat but hadn't murdered her. Jason reminded her that everything that Mary Pat had done to Carly had been documented. He might have waited for an attorney before answering questions, which would have wasted time, and he thought Carly had been right to answer them, since she had nothing to hide. Carly declared that someone had been "sick and twisted."

Carly revealed that she had been having bad dreams about Mary Pat, but Jason urged her to stay on track because Ferncliff was only a bad memory. Carly told him about how she'd had a mantra in the facility to stay strong and focused to go home. Jason told her it was still her mantra but she was already home. Carly insisted that Mary Pat had haunted her in life and was still doing so. "You beat her," Jason declared.

Carly stated that there was a mystery locked up in Ferncliff, and she intended to get to the bottom of it. She was curious about the patient next door who had spent hours, tapping in Morse Code. The room had been empty when she and Laura had returned, and she thought that someone was hiding something. Carly thought she had seen the patient once, and she didn't think he had been discharged. She thought that she would back off if the patient was dangerous, but he might also be someone who didn't belong there. Carly declared that she wanted to go back, but Jason thought that was a bad idea. He advised her that he would find out about the patient.

11/7 Carly tried to stop Jason from getting involved in the Ferncliff investigation, but Jason told her that it was too late. With that, Curtis and Sam entered the room, with Curtis flashing a badge and referring to himself as "Dale Coyle of Coyle Protection." Carly worried that the staff at Ferncliff would know that Curtis was not legit. It would, she rationalized, take more than a fake ID to get into Ferncliff. Carly flipped when she learned that Jason and Sam would also be part of the scheme. "You know you're on the security watch list!" Carly snarled as she reminded Jason that if he were to be caught, he'd be thrown in jail. Sam begged Carly to let them help because they all wanted to help Carly put the Ferncliff saga behind her. With that, Carly relented. She hugged Jason and begged him to be careful.

Sam and Jason quietly skulked about the corridors of Ferncliff. As they stood outside the room next to where Carly had been held, Jason told Sam that Carly feared that the patient in the room was being treated similarly to the way that she'd been treated. Sam peered through the glass and into the room, but she saw nothing. Jason noted that the alarm panel next to the room was new. He questioned if Sam would be able to break into the room. Sam started to fiddle with the alarm panel, but she stopped when the door suddenly unlocked. "Curtis came through," she told Jason. She then turned the doorknob and opened the door. She and Jason froze in place when they looked inside.

11/8 Sam and Jason find a surprise at Ferncliff Sam and Jason find a surprise at Ferncliff. Sam wanted to know who had fooled Nelle into thinking that Ferncliff was better than Pentonville. "It worked for Carly, didn't it?" Nelle spat. She continued that, once she got out, she would show Carly what it meant to lose, and Carly would "lose everything." Curtis and Kay entered the room, and he insisted, "Don't let us interrupt."

Curtis explained to Kay that Sam and Jason were his associates, and they'd been easily able to obtain access into a room that should have been impenetrable. Jason asked who had authorized Nelle's transfer from Pentonville, and Sam added that Nelle was faking. Nelle insisted that she was supposed to be there, and Carly's friends were just out to get her.

Nelle was still yelling as Kay, Curtis, Sam, and Jason left the room and shut the door behind them. Jason figured that he would talk to Spinelli about hacking into Ferncliff's mainframe and finding out the name of Carly's mystery neighbor. He and Sam agreed that someone was going to a lot of trouble to cover up who it was, and it wasn't a coincidence that Nelle had replaced the patient just days after Carly had visited.

11/12 Sonny’s Dream - included on a separate dvd

11/13 Carly asked Jason where Sonny was. He hadn't been home the previous night, and she hadn't heard from him. Jason advised Carly that he and Sonny had found leverage on the district attorney, and he'd also been busy with Ferncliff. He advised her that Nelle had finagled the room next door to Carly's old one, but she hadn't been as convincing as Carly. He and Sam had exposed her.

Jason and Carly talked about what might have happened to Carly's previous neighbor. Jason asked why Carly hadn't called him when she'd been taken to the station for questioning. She replied that she had called Diane, and she'd been tired and busy when she'd gotten home. Jason insisted that Carly be in touch with him, especially after a nurse had been decapitated with Carly's DNA beside her. He was certain that Carly was being set up.

Carly hadn't realized that she was the target of the killer, and Jason suggested that Ava was the murderer. Carly didn't think it was Ava's style. Just then, Sonny rushed inside and apologized. Carly asked where he had been. Mike and Stella walked inside and interrupted. They had returned home to retrieve Mike's wallet. Stella went back to the car, and Sonny advised his father that Croton was over.

Mike didn't understand what Sonny meant. "If you say so," Mike replied. He spotted his wallet on the coffee table and announced that he was going to Charlie's for breakfast. Sonny thought it was great that Mike didn't remember anything, but Carly and Jason questioned him on the finality of Croton. Sonny revealed that he had been in New Jersey with Margaux the previous night.

Sonny explained how he had confronted Jeanette and what had happened afterward. He had worn a wire. Margaux had been hurt after she'd heard what her mother had done. Carly reminded Sonny that Margaux was aware that her mother hadn't actually been the one to pull the trigger and kill Marino. She thought that Margaux would still be after Sonny. Sonny insisted that he couldn't be tied to the murder, and Jeanette hadn't said anything before she'd left. Carly declared that Margaux would try to get Sonny for something. He guessed that the truth had broken Margaux, and it hadn't felt right to leave her. He felt bad for her, but he was sorry he hadn't been home for Carly.

Carly went off to look after Avery. "Is she mad?" Sonny asked Jason. Jason advised his boss that Carly had had a tough 24 hours, and Margaux was angry and would take it out on Sonny.

11/16 Michael met with Sam at Metro Court. He sat down at her table but was surprised when Jason walked over. Michael asked if it was an ambush but Jason announced that he had been looking for Sonny, who might need help with the district attorney.

At Metro Court, after Jason made his phone call to Sonny, Michael invited him to sit at the table. Sam revealed that she and Jason had found Nelle at Ferncliff, and Michael was astonished. Sam explained that they had been at the facility, investigating for Carly. Sam continued that Nelle had faked a breakdown and had been in the room next to Carly's old room. Sam suspected that she had been there as a decoy or that the other patient had been moved out.

Michael was curious if Nelle had really been faking, because she'd had a breakdown in the past. Jason described what Nelle had been doing, but he clarified that he and Sam had called her bluff. Nelle had also vowed to go after Carly when she was set free. Michael agreed that it all sounded like Nelle. However, he had learned to be calmer, and his grief had grown more manageable. Michael thanked Sam and Jason for the update, and Sam assured him things would get better.

After Michael had gone, Sam asked about Jason's Thanksgiving plans. He wanted to hear Sam's plans first, and she told him about Curtis' wedding in the morning, but she would watch the parade with the kids in the afternoon. She extended an invitation to Jason to join them, and he accepted. He promised to have Sam's favorite doughnuts.

11/19 Sam arrived at Charlie's Pub, looking for Kristina. Her sister was nowhere to be found, and she sat at the bar. Julian offered to make her a drink, and they chatted about Wiley. Julian assured her he wasn't involved with the baby, but he'd be able to get photos and stories second-hand over dinners. Sam was astonished that Julian had been meeting Lucas for dinner. Julian advised her it was on Lucas' terms, and Sam could do the same if she chose. Eventually, Sam declared that Kristina had chosen to hang out with Daisy instead. Julian told her the drink was on the house. "This time," Sam replied.

11/20 Mystery Room: Anna and Molly herded a blindfolded Jordan into the Port Charles Museum of Mayhem just as T.J. and Finn led a blindfolded Curtis in. They took off their blindfolds and heard, "Surprise!" as Nina, Maxie, Lulu, Sam, Chase, Valerie, and Alexis rushed in. Anna explained that she and Nina had consulted and decided on escape rooms as bachelor and bachelorette parties, since the bride and groom had vetoed everything else. Nina added that they would be in separate rooms to add some competition. She added that they'd needed another person, so she'd invited Peter.

T.J. listened as the host of the escape room talked on the phone. The host said into the phone that he was leaving when his shift was over, "whether you're here or not." The host then led the bride's group to a room and collected everyone's cell phone. He explained the premise of the room -- "your boat has just docked at Cassadine Island," he started. He continued that Helena and her allies had just stolen "the formula for carbonic snow" and were about to launch the world into the next ice age. He wished them luck and left.

The lights went up in the room, and the bride's group saw four mannequins, each with a face on it, featuring Jerry, Helena, Stavros, and Faison. Molly explained that everyone needed to look for clues, so everyone began to look. Talking to Jerry's mannequin, Alexis commented that she didn't understand how people thought that escape rooms were fun.

As Anna looked at Faison's mannequin, Jordan wondered if everyone just wanted to go to the Floating Rib. Everyone agreed, but Jordan found that the door was actually locked. She called out about the business breaking fire codes. Maxie thought that the host was supposed to monitor the game at all times.

The host led Curtis' group into another room and explained that they'd been kidnapped by Ryan Chamberlain. They'd been taken to a funhouse carnival, but there was a gas leak, so they had to escape before meeting "the same fate as Ryan." The host left, and the lights went up on four mannequins featuring Franco, Heather, Diego Alcazar, and Ryan. As Sam studied Diego, Finn wondered if she'd been in town during Diego's reign of terror. She answered that she had lived through the Text Message Killer.

T.J. and Chase talked about Ryan's murder spree as they studied his mannequin. T.J. noticed a "C" on the knife held by the mannequin and figured it might be a clue for later. Sam remembered Heather terrorizing her just like Franco had, and she said to Peter that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Peter thought it was a bad idea for him to be there and went to leave, but the door was locked. They wondered where the host was.

At the front of the Museum of Mayhem, the host was asleep with headphones on and his feet up on the desk. In front of him were two live feeds of the escape rooms that showed everyone in both rooms waving at the cameras. Jordan refused to be stuck in the escape room overnight, since she was getting married the next day. Molly answered that they just needed to beat the game in time. Lulu and Maxie approached Stavros' mannequin, and Lulu noticed a cup in its hand, out of which she pulled a chess piece that Maxie recognized as a queen. Jordan frisked Jerry's mannequin and found a small lockbox with a combination lock. Valerie and Molly noticed that the bookcase was blocking something, but they couldn't move it.

Anna told Valerie and Molly to look for a book by P.K. Sinclair, and Molly found one entitled "Daughter of Eternity." Pages twenty-two and ninety-nine were folded over, so Jordan punched the numbers into the box. She opened the box and found a floppy disk. Meanwhile, Alexis poked Helena's mannequin and remarked that it was "warmer than the real thing." She tauntingly showed the mannequin her mother's watch. Just then, she noticed a paper underneath Helena's brooch and handed it to Molly, who recognized it as a configuration for a game of chess.

Molly and Valerie began to set up the chess board, but they were missing a piece. Lulu walked over and handed over the queen. Molly put it into place, and they heard the rattling of metal. Valerie realized that the chess board unlocked the bookcase, so she and Molly moved it to reveal another room that contained a computer. Jordan tried the door on the other side, but it was locked. Maxie warned everyone that they only had six minutes left.

As the groom's group feared that they were trapped for the night, T.J. reminded everyone that there was "one way out." Finn found a safe behind a clown mannequin labeled "Property of MOCA." Sam realized that it stood for Museum of Contemporary Art, where Franco had had a huge show where he'd staged his own death at the hands of Jason. Nina suggested that they try Franco's tag, "C077X" as the code. Curtis typed in the code, and the safe opened. Sam pulled out a black light, and Finn turned the lights in the room off.

Curtis began to scan the walls until the black light landed on the floor and revealed, "TURN 716 555 0103." Sam pulled a phone out of Diego's hand and texted the phone number. She received a message back that read "D3 G3 D4 C4 A3." Peter saw a Lazy Susan and decided to try turning it. Everyone heard an unlocking sound, and Curtis followed it to the portrait of a clown. Chase opened the door, which led into another room that contained a keyboard. Curtis told Peter out of appreciation that he could crash Curtis' parties anytime after that. Curtis tried the door on the other side of the room, but it was locked. T.J. warned everyone that they had four minutes left.

Jordan put the disk into the computer, and a message popped up that read, "Let the clues you've found be your key. Enter the password to release the lock. After three incorrect guesses, the game is over." She saw that the password was eleven letters long, so she typed in "EscapeRooms," but it was denied. She tried "PortCharles," but it was denied.

Maxie yelled out that they had two minutes. The women talked through how the clues connected. Anna realized that the daughter, from the book, of a queen, the chess piece, was a princess, and Jordan cried that another word for diamond, from Helena's brooch, was ice. Jordan typed in "IcePrincess," and the password was accepted. The gleeful women made their way to the unlocked door.

Nina realized that the letters and numbers in the text message were different notes on the keyboard. As the only person present who could play piano, Curtis sat down at it and played some notes. A buzzer sounded, and Curtis wondered if there were other clues they hadn't yet used. T.J. grabbed the knife out of Ryan's hand, and said that the "C" on the point meant that the C Curtis needed to play was sharp. Curtis made the change, and the door unlocked. Jordan's and Curtis' groups burst from their rooms and into the lobby at the same time. Jordan and Curtis kissed as confetti fell.

11/21 Danny answered the door to Jason, and he was excited to see Jason carrying doughnuts. He invited Jason upstairs to the roof to watch the parade, but Sam descended the stairs, sneezing. She plopped on the couch and asked Danny to check on Scout, so he went. Jason sat with her, and she explained that she'd started to feel sick the night before. As she helped herself to a doughnut, he offered to stay and help her with the kids. Danny returned and told his mother that Scout was asleep. "I'm so jealous," she responded.

Sam took some medicine and vowed not to miss the parade. Danny went into the kitchen for some juice, and Sam admitted to Jason that it was nice to be rescued sometimes. A short while later, Jason and Danny descended the stairs and told Sam that she was going to miss the parade, but they found her asleep on the couch.

Later, Danny let Alexis in, and she reminded him that he and Scout had to be at Monica's before lunch. She asked where Sam was, and he answered, "Upstairs in bed with Daddy." Upstairs, Jason put Sam in bed and covered her up. She asked him not to go, but he wanted to help Alexis with the kids. Sam replied that Alexis could manage, and she pulled him into bed and said, "I miss you."

11/30 Sam walked down the stairs and was surprised to find Jason asleep on the sofa. She leaned over him, and he jumped up and grabbed her. He immediately apologized and agreed that he still had his instincts. Once awake, Jason grabbed two mugs of a hot drink and joined Sam on the sofa. She admitted she was feeling better. Jason explained that Alexis had taken the kids to the Quartermaines', and he had stayed to keep an eye on her. It hadn't been difficult, since Sam had slept all night. Sam realized she was being flirtatious with Jason, but he admitted he was okay with it.

As Jason and Sam leaned in close, Kristina walked in. She admitted that she was just returning from the previous night, but she was excited to see Jason and Sam together. She announced that she had just won 50 bucks from Molly, who hadn't expected the couple to hook up until Valentine's Day. Sam received notice that her prescription was ready, and Jason left to pick it up.

Sam asked Kristina about her evening, and Kristina revealed that she had volunteered at a homeless shelter and then spent the night at a group dinner back at the group's house. She'd heard stories from all her new friends who had been welcoming and open. She would eventually share in return and be generous with her friends. Jason spotted Drew sitting alone on the stairs. He assured Drew that he was there for Oscar if anything was needed. Drew agreed to relay the important message to Oscar, and Jason made it clear that Oscar had everyone he needed behind him.

Sam was happy that Kristina had friends but she was ready for a nap until Jason returned with her medicine. Kristina wanted to try a trick. She rubbed some oil onto her hands and urged Sam to sit. She massaged Sam's temples and told her to breathe. Sam could only laugh, and she couldn't sit still for Kristina. Jason returned with the medicine.

12/3 Sam took some medicine, and Jason asked if he could get her anything else. She told him that he didn't have to take care of her, but he didn't mind. She wondered what had taken him so long getting her medicine. He answered that he'd run into Drew, who had been there because Oscar had decided to participate in the drug trial. Sam was happy to hear that, and she was also happy to hear that the brothers had been talking. She wished they would act like brothers, but Jason figured things would always be "complicated" between him and Drew.

A few minutes later, Sam and Jason were joking about the Quartermaines' "cursed" Thanksgivings when Alexis entered with soup and Sam's mail. Jason left after Alexis' icy reception. Later, Alexis served Sam the soup and wished that Jason was still there for the news she had. She informed a shocked Sam that Kiki had been murdered. Sam suggested that Bensch had done it, but she was astonished to learn that Griffin had been arrested.

Changing the subject, Alexis asked about Jason, but Sam answered that there was nothing to tell. Sam looked through her mail and was curious about a large envelope with no return address. She opened it and retrieved an obituary cut out of a newspaper for a Leland Powell. Noticing that Sam was shaken, Alexis looked at the obituary and wondered if Sam had known Leland. "He was my husband," she said.

At Metro Court, Jason entered and informed Sonny that no warrants had been issued for Jeanette's arrest, and there had been no indication that she was a suspect in her husband's murder. Carly commented that they had their leverage on Margaux. Sonny didn't think Margaux would be after him for a while, anyway, while looking for Kiki's killer. Jason was shocked at the news about Kiki, and Sonny left to take care of some business.

Carly updated Jason on Kiki and Griffin, and Jason agreed that Griffin didn't seem like a killer, especially after he'd helped Jason out in Russia purely out of kindness. She confided that she'd seen Griffin and Kiki arguing the night before her murder, but she refused to tell the police, since she knew "firsthand" that evidence could be misleading. She commented that it meant the real killer was still out there.

Carly told Jason how hard of a time Josslyn had been having since learning about Oscar's sickness, but Jason admitted that Oscar had told him months before. Carly thought she should be angry at him for keeping the secret, but she was just happy Josslyn had been able to convince Oscar to do the drug trial. She worried that Josslyn and Oscar wouldn't get the happy ending that Josslyn seemed to think they would. Jason assured Carly that Josslyn would be fine because she had Carly. Carly thought that Josslyn was too young for so much death, and she confided that Josslyn hadn't been so confused or afraid since Morgan had died.

12/6 Alexis met with Sam at Kelly's, where Sam announced that she had proof of Griffin's innocence. Sam mentioned someone who had accessed Griffin's phone, and the evidence would set Griffin free. Alexis declared that Sam should thank Spinelli for her.

Curtis found Sam at a table in Kelly's and sat down after giving her a hug. He was happy for some work, and he was sorry for Sam's loss. Sam declared that the search for Kiki's killer had to be widened. She announced that she had a case for Curtis, and she was the client, much to Curtis' surprise. Curtis read Leland's obituary, and Sam revealed that she was Leland's widow. Sam noted that the obituary had appeared in a newspaper in Galena, Illinois, where she had met Leland. Curtis noticed that it had been mailed from Port Charles, so in all likelihood, the person who had mailed it lived in town. Sam figured the person had a subscription to the paper as opposed to originally seeing it in Illinois.

Sam stressed that she'd had an alias when married to Leland, and there was no way to tie it to her. She had worked cons and married older rich men in order to support her brother Danny in a group home. It had been a "different time" in her life, and Leland had been one of her "first marks." She had gone after men who'd wanted a trophy wife, but she had left Leland and never looked back.

Sam had no clue as to who might have sent the paper, and she wanted to make sure her past was behind her. She picked up her phone and called the newspaper to ask for the possibility of her subscribing to the paper while living in New York. "Are you kidding me?" Sam asked the person from the circulation department. Curtis began to laugh as he listened to Sam's conversation. "Small world," Sam told the person in her phony accent. She learned that someone else in Port Charles had a subscription to the Illinois paper.

12/7 Sam continued to press for details about "the other Port Charles subscriber." Her face suddenly lit up, and she scribbled something down on the back on an envelope. Sam thanked the person on the other end of the phone call for their help. Once off the phone, Sam told Curtis that the other subscriber lived at the Turning Woods facility.

Margaux was not happy to see Jason standing before her and went so far as to suggest that he take a seat somewhere else. Despite her suggestion, Jason sat down across from her. Jason told Margaux that he wasn't there to talk about Sonny, he wanted to talk about Drew. Margaux told Jason that she had not spoken to Drew in "ages." Jason told her to keep that way.

Jason reminded Margaux that she had once made it clear that she would be investigating his past. Margaux said the circumstances had changed, and she no longer had any interested in those old cases. Jason pressed on, reminding Margaux of the things that she'd done that he'd found questionable -- like questioning Mike even though Margaux had known Mike suffered from Alzheimer's. Margaux told Jason that she'd grown tired of the conversation, grabbed her coat, and left.

Alexis headed over to the seat formerly occupied by Margaux and told Jason that Oscar had wanted Jason to be the executor of his will. Jason seemed uneasy with the responsibility and didn't think that Oscar should be worrying about which possessions to give to different people. Alexis reminded Jason that Oscar was a Quartermaine and therefore had voting shares of ELQ. Alexis explained that Oscar worried that his family would fight over the ELQ shares if he died; he wanted Jason to oversee it to ensure that did not happen.

Sam and Curtis arrived at the Turning Woods facility, and Curtis announced that "espionage in a convalescent home" was a first for him. As they talked, Stella happened upon them. Curtis fumbled for a reason as to why he was at the facility. He said that he was there to see his aunt, which Marcus heard as he returned to the room. He shook his head in disbelief that the "grown man" before him could be Stella's nephew.

Curtis' eyes widened as he realized Marcus was "Marcus… like Marcus Marcus… the Marcus." Stella looked at Curtis sternly and said, "Yes, Curtis. That's the name his parents gave him." As the situation got even more awkward, Curtis decided to ask Marcus why he was in Port Charles. Marcus explained that his wife, Yvonne, was a patient at the facility. Sam looked down at the envelope she was carrying and saw the name she had scribbled earlier: Yvonne Godfrey.

When Sam asked if she was from Galena, Illinois, Yvonne perked up and announced that Galena was the "home of Ulysses S. Grant." Sam produced the obituary and asked if Yvonne had sent it to her. Sam explained that the envelope that she'd received had been postmarked from Port Charles and that Yvonne was the only person in Port Charles to receive the Galena newspaper. Yvonne became slightly agitated and told Sam that she could not remember.

Marcus walked over to see what was going on. Mike explained the situation, and Marcus offered to help Yvonne back to her room. "Can he take me?" Yvonne asked as she looked toward Mike. Mike reluctantly agreed, and he and Yvonne left, followed closely by Marcus.

With everyone gone, Stella knew that Curtis' explanation of his wanting to visit her wasn't the truth. Stella told Curtis and Sam to leave. Before they left, Sam used her cell phone to take a picture of the mailing label on Yvonne's newspaper. Curtis appeared uneasy and told Sam that when Stella said to scram, people needed to scram. Sam told Curtis that something wasn't adding up.

Curtis wondered if it was possible that someone had subscribed to the newspaper on Yvonne's behalf to help trigger Yvonne's memories. Sam said that if that were true, it still didn't make sense that Yvonne would send her an obituary. Curtis wondered if someone was using Yvonne's connection to Galena to get to Sam. "That's it!" Sam exclaimed as she raced toward the door. When she was gone, Daisy nervously entered the room, picked up the copy of Yvonne's newspaper, looked around several times, and replaced it with a magazine.

12/10 There was a knock on Oscar's hospital room door, and Jason entered. Oscar wondered if Jason had talked to Alexis, but Jason replied that he couldn't be the executor of Oscar's will and cause Oscar's parents more pain. Oscar explained that, if he didn't make it, executing his will would "destroy" his parents. Jason inferred that Oscar wasn't optimistic about his prognosis. Oscar wanted to live, but he needed someone to talk to about what would happen if he didn't. He'd chosen Jason because he knew that Jason wouldn't fall apart, and he would be honest with Oscar.

Oscar knew that, while he hadn't been a Quartermaine for long, he wanted to follow the family tradition and establish a fund for sick kids. He wanted to pick things out to give his parents, Scott, Josslyn, and Monica, but he wanted Jason to help Kim get rid of everything else. Oscar asked if Jason would be the executor of his will. Jason replied, "Yeah, I'll honor your wishes on one condition." He told Oscar that "when" he beat the cancer, Oscar needed to get Alexis to write up a new will, and Oscar needed to get a new executor. Oscar agreed, and the two shook on it. Oscar thanked Jason, and Jason left.

Drew got off the elevator and bumped into Jason. Drew showed Jason the flash drive and told him about the encounter with Margaux. Jason wondered what Drew was going to do with it, as it was his decision. While Drew didn't want Jason's memories, he didn't want to risk losing the ones he'd made on his own. Jason suggested that Drew could one day be ab
