Jason & Sam #27 November 24, 2010 - February 28, 2011: 8 hour original edit
DVD #27A Sam went to the hospital to enlist Robin's help. Sam explained that Kristina and Molly were determined to have Alexis and Mac spend Thanksgiving together. Sam revealed that her sisters were frustrated because Alexis and Mac had only gone out on a few dates, so their relationship hadn't progressed far enough for Mac and Alexis to have made plans to spend the holiday together. Robin was eager to lend a hand, so she enlisted Maxie's help when Maxie entered the room a few minutes later. At the Davis residence, Alexis wanted to know who the other three guests were, but Sam arrived before Kristina could answer the question. Maxie arrived and said that Mac was staying at the hospital with Robin. Then Spinelli arrived and was happy to see Maxinista there. Spinelli beamed as he sat down next to Maxie, while everyone took their seats for dinner. They were all pleasantly surprised by the last-minute arrival of a guest. Mac quickly stepped forward to take the turkey when Alexis entered the dinning room with the holiday bird. Alexis smiled with embarrassment as Sam and Kristina jumped up to invite Mac to sit at the head of the table. After Edward honored the special holiday with the traditional Quartermaine song “We Gather Together, everyone shouted, "Happy Thanksgiving." A montage of various Port Charles family gatherings is shown. 11/29 Brenda conversed with Jason at the penthouse. She told him that she was happy for the first time in a very long time. Brenda said that she had told Sonny about killing Aleksander and about Dante's part in the killing. She said that Sonny had told her to forgive herself. Brenda said that she was going on a date with Sonny and wanted to know what Jason thought about it. Jason hedged and said that he would stay out of her personal life and focus on the Balkan. Brenda said that she cared what Jason thought. She tried to get him to wish her well, but Spinelli interrupted before Brenda could get a response from Jason. Spinelli immediately offered to make tea, but Jason said that they had to get over to Sam's office to meet Lucky and Dante. Spinelli refused to go when Brenda said she wanted tea with a shot of whiskey, so a frustrated Jason left alone. Lucky met Sam at her P.I. office. He told her how grateful he was that she had space for him, Jason, and Dante to work and search phone records for a trace of "Jack." Lucky said that listening to Siobhan relive her captivity had made him angry all over. When Sam smiled, Lucky wanted to know why. Sam said it was good to see him invested in someone again. She said it was a sign that he was getting over Elizabeth and moving on. Sam said that Siobhan had no relationship to anyone in Port Charles, so it was a fresh start and wondered what more Lucky could ask for. Dante and Jason arrived at Sam's office to find Lucky working on the phone records. When he could find nothing relating to "Jack," Jason suggested looking for who had claimed the body of the Balkan's son, Aleksander Janacek six month before. When Lucky refused to proceed until he knew everything that Jason knew, Dante told Lucky what had happened with Brenda three years before. Lucky approved Dante's actions but worried that Carly would eventually spill the beans. He appealed to Jason for help. When Lucky was unable to unearth any new clues using the name Aleksander Janacek, Jason suggested that "Jack" might be a last name instead of a first name. Sam was on the phone, making arrangements to do some undercover work at the local strip club, when she unlocked her apartment and went to the bedroom to change clothes. A man, wearing black gloves, whose face was not visible, stepped out from behind a screen in the living room. 11/30 At McCall and Jackal Private Investigations, Lucky, Jason, and Dante discussed the possibility that the man that they were looking for could have the last name of "Jacks." Jason and Lucky realized that their suspect might be Jerry Jacks. Jason and Lucky quickly filled Dante in about Jerry's crime spree in Port Charles and the lengths that Jerry would go to for money. Lucky didn't discount the possibility that Jerry could be in cahoots with the Balkan, but Dante wondered if it were possible that Jerry was the Balkan. Lucky conceded that Jerry was a sociopath, while Jason acknowledged that Jerry had been known to haunt the Balkan region and was old enough to have a son Aleksander's age. A mystery man quietly ducked into a room in Sam's apartment, while Alexis knocked on her daughter's front door. The moment that Sam opened the door, Alexis ordered Sam to stop trying to set Alexis up with Mac. Sam was curious if Alexis would rather date someone like Jerry Jacks. Alexis explained that there weren't any sparks with Mac. Sam made it clear that sparks were overrated and hadn't helped Alexis in the past. Alexis argued that Sam was hardly in a position to judge. Sam agreed, but she insisted that she had finally found someone who respected her. Sam wanted Alexis to find the same kind of person instead of another Jerry Jacks. Alexis acknowledged that she had made a huge mistake by dating Jerry. In the other room, the mystery person tapped his foot impatiently as he listened to Alexis and Sam talk about Alexis' poor choice in men. Alexis realized that she had some unresolved issues with her father, Mikkos Cassadine. Alexis readily conceded that she was vulnerable to unattainable men whom she wanted to save and change. Sam suspected that Alexis was drawn to certain men because Alexis subconsciously knew that the relationships wouldn't work out. Alexis was impressed by Sam's insight. Sam insisted that Alexis needed to go out with someone like Mac, but Alexis argued that it was easier said than done because Mac hadn't called to ask her out.
Sam's cell phone rang, so Sam begged her mother to accept a date with Mac if Mac called. Alexis reluctantly agreed and then left while Sam answered the phone. Sam chatted on the phone as she followed Alexis out of the apartment. Moments later, the mystery man slipped out of the room and then left the empty apartment. A short time later, the man placed a call to Jerry Jacks to let Jerry know that he had gained access to Sam's apartment. Jerry wasn't pleased that the man hadn't carried out Jerry's orders. The man assured Jerry that he understood what was at stake. The man then wondered when Jerry planned to arrive in Port Charles. Meanwhile, Jason met Sam at her apartment. Sam explained that there had been an unexpected change with one of her cases, so Sam had hoped to spend some time with Jason. Jason broke the news to Sam that Jerry Jacks might be the Balkan. Jason was concerned that Jerry would try to harm Sam in an attempt to distract Jason from protecting Brenda. Sam thought that it was a stretch to conclude that Jerry might be the "Jack" that Siobhan had overheard the Balkan's men talking about. Jason admitted that he had some doubts, but he didn't want to take any chances with Sam's safety. 12/1 At Sam's apartment, Jason explained that he feared that Jerry Jacks would target Sam because Jerry knew how much Sam meant to Jason. Sam was touched by Jason's concern, but she assured him that he didn't have to worry about her. Jason asked Sam to move in with him until the Balkan had been captured, but Sam didn't want to live at the crowded penthouse. Jason was disappointed, but he respected her decision. Sam let Jason know that she would shoot Jerry if he showed up at her apartment. Jason confided that the timing couldn't be worse because Brenda and Sonny had decided to start dating again. Sam insisted that Brenda and Sonny were adults who were capable of making their own choices. Sam pointed out that Jason's job was to protect Brenda and Sonny, nothing more. Jason agreed, which proved to Sam that her instincts were as good as Jason's. After Jason and Sam made love, Jason decided to head home to have a talk with Spinelli about Spinelli's obsession with Brenda. Sam noticed that Jason had checked the locks on her front door. She opened the top drawer of her desk and then pulled out a handgun to show Jason that she was well protected. Jason relaxed a bit, but he still ordered her to lock up behind him. Later, Sam was on the phone in her living room while the handgun rested on her desk. Sam was unaware that a mystery man lurked nearby.
Jason arrived at the penthouse to find Spinelli pacing the living room. Spinelli was upset because Brenda hadn't returned from her date with Sonny. Jason ordered Spinelli to stop interfering in Brenda and Sonny's relationship. According to Jason, Sonny knew Brenda better than most, including Spinelli. Jason suggested that Spinelli could help Brenda by tracking Jerry Jacks's whereabouts. Spinelli was stunned to learn that Jason suspected that Jerry was somehow connected to the Balkan and might be after Brenda. Spinelli assured Jason that he would begin tracking Jerry immediately. Jason suggested that Spinelli start with Jerry's mother, Lady Jane. Spinelli began to work on the laptop, but stopped when he heard footsteps in the hallway. Spinelli sprinted to the door to peek through the peephole. Spinelli was relieved that Brenda had finally arrived home. Spinelli grew livid when he realized that Sonny intended to kiss Brenda, but Jason pulled Spinelli away from the door to give the couple some privacy. In the hallway, Sonny wondered if he would see Brenda again. She assured him that he would, so Sonny leaned forward to give Brenda a passionate goodbye kiss. 12/2 At Jason's penthouse, Brenda informed Jason that she had a date with Sonny. "That's nice," Jason responded. However, Jason added that she wasn't permitted to leave the penthouse. Brenda suggested that Jason take it up with Sonny. Jason explained that Jerry Jacks might be linked to the Balkan, so Brenda was in grave danger. Brenda laughed at the idea of Jerry harming her. Jason warned Brenda that Jerry was not the man that she had known long before. He explained that even Jax couldn't control Jerry. Sam stopped short when she noticed that the lock on her front door had been tampered with.Moments later, Jason received a call from Sam asking him to meet her at her apartment because she had discovered something that he needed to see. Jason promised to be there as soon as possible and then placed a call to Spinelli. When Spinelli arrived at the penthouse, Jason explained that Brenda was not to leave under any circumstances. Jason made it clear that he expected Spinelli to stand firm. At Sam's apartment, Jason examined the lock on Sam's door and then agreed that someone had obviously tried to pick the lock. Sam suggested that she had numerous enemies because of her work, but Jason was certain that Jerry had been responsible. He reminded her that Sam and Jerry had some unfinished business, so it made sense for Jerry to target Sam. Sam assured Jason that she could take care of herself. However, Sam looked worried after Jason left. In an alley, Sam was on her cell phone with Maxie as a mystery man followed her. Eventually the mystery man lunged for Sam, but Jason was there to stop the man before Sam was harmed. As Sam ran to Jason's side, Jason aimed his gun at the man's back and then warned him, "This is where it ends, Jerry." 12/3 Jason and Sam faced off with a stranger and demanded to know what the man knew about Jerry Jacks. Jason held a gun on the man and threatened to kill him. Jason frisked the man and found Sam's wallet. Sam asked the stranger why he'd broken into her apartment. As the man explained that Jerry had hired him, he was shot from above. Soon thereafter, Dante responded to Jason's call and showed up at the scene of the crime. Sam updated Dante on what had preceded the shootout. Jason explained that he'd shot at the sniper and found blood on the window frame where that person had been. However, the assassin was nowhere to be found. Jason and Sam went to the Jackal & McCall offices to try, unsuccessfully, to get information from the dead man's phone. They wondered why no one in town had seen Jerry until Sam theorized that he might have altered his face, as he had once before. Dante arrived and let them know Mac had changed his tune and wanted finding Jerry to be the top priority. Dante clued Sam in on what he and Jason knew: that the Balkan was after Brenda because she'd been involved in the death of the man's son. 12/6 Jason, Sam, and Dante were at Sam's P.I. office. They discussed the best way to flush out the Balkan. Jason was convinced that the Balkan would try to retrieve his son's body from the morgue. Dante suggested taking Aleksander's body to GH for a second autopsy, which, Dante said, was done all the time and would not arouse suspicion. He said it would be easier to lure the Balkan to them than to stake out the morgue in New York. After Dante was gone, Sam said that she did not think the plan would work, but Jason said that if Aleksander really was the Balkan's son, grief might cause the Balkan to make a mistake. After Michael knocked Rodney to the ground to protect Abby. Michael called Jason, who hurried to the scene with Sam. Rodney was bleeding and threatening to call the cops. Rodney recognized Jason as Sonny's enforcer and agreed not to call the police. Abby hurried off to work, and Sam went with her. When Jason asked what had happened, Michael said that he'd lost his temper when Rodney insulted Abby. Jason said that Michael had to get control of his temper or he risked getting sent back to prison. Michael said that he would not lose control again. Back at Sam's office, Jason questioned Michael again. Michael said that he had become angry when Rodney started rubbing Abby's arm and treating her like a piece of meat, so Rodney had deserved what he'd gotten. Michael said he was only sorry that Rodney had stood back up. Jason asked if Abby had asked for help. Michael said that Abby had seemed to be handling the guy. He told Jason that he would not lose his temper again. When Sam got back to her office, Jason was waiting. She told him that Abby was okay, but worried about Michael, who had definitely overreacted. Jason said that Abby was a stripper, and dealing with jerks was part of her job. 12/9 Steve cautiously entered Jason's penthouse as he slowly took in all of the pink knickknacks scattered about. "Not what I expected," Steve admitted. Jason invited Steve to have a seat and then explained that pink was soothing to Brenda. Steve was curious why Jason had called him. Jason explained that Steve could help keep Brenda safe. According to Jason, Steve was the key to drawing out the guy who was trying to get to Brenda. Jason confessed that he knew about the body that Dante had asked Steve to take a look at. Jason revealed that the dead body was the son of an international criminal who was after Brenda. Steve realized that Jason wanted him to disclose private information. Steve resented the mob's interference in the hospital's business, but he reluctantly revealed that Aleksander Janacek's body would be released at the docks the following evening at five. At Sonny’s, Jason demanded to know what Carly was doing. Carly immediately tried to enlist Jason's help to persuade Sonny to forget about Brenda. Carly insisted that Brenda was wrong for Sonny. After Carly stormed out, Sonny informed Jason that he intended to work things out with Brenda. Sonny was frustrated that everyone seemed to have an opinion about his relationship with Brenda. Sonny explained that he and Brenda were taking a leap of faith; he was scared to death, but he was determined to explore what they had. Later, Carly barged into Jason's penthouse. Jason wasn't surprised that she hadn't knocked. Carly didn't think that she had to. Jason reminded her that his work was dangerous and not always something that she should be exposed to. Carly appeared unconcerned; she was too worked up about Sonny and Brenda. Jason reminded Carly that Sonny's love life was none of their business, but Carly argued that Dante had slept with Brenda. Jason pointed out that Carly didn't have any proof of that. Carly disagreed; she had an eyewitness. Jason quickly corrected her. She had a cop who might have a grudge against Dante. Jason believed that Carly only saw what she wanted to see. Carly challenged Jason to prove her wrong by looking into Dante and Brenda's past. Jason didn't understand why Carly couldn't leave it alone. Carly explained that Sonny could be hurt. Jason agreed, but it was Sonny's choice to make. Carly wasn't moved by the argument. She vowed to get to the bottom of things and then to tell Sonny. 12/10 Sam ran into Patrick at the hospital and asked if he could give her some insight on a patient of his and a fellow doctor. Sam had been hired to learn whether or not the two were having an affair. Patrick opted not to comment. He did admit to Sam that he'd had an affair with Lisa and that his marriage to Robin was on shaky ground. Sam advised him not to concentrate on past mistakes but to move forward. When Carly stormed into the penthouse, Jason begged Carly to leave well enough alone. He told her that, if she were to succeed in destroying Dante, it would have a negative impact on Michael. He pointed out that Michael is trying to move and urges her to let him!
Later, Sonny went to see Jason. He asked Jason to share his opinion on Sonny and Brenda's relationship. Jason replied that he'd taken a second chance with Sam and was grateful he had. Brenda ran into the living room and left with Sonny.
Dante went to see Jason. Jason let him know that the photo of Dante guarding Brenda had been found in the box Lucky had gotten from the safe deposit box. Dante was having trouble concentrating. He asked Jason if Jason had ever wanted something so much that he could think of nothing else. 12/13 Dante went to Jason's penthouse and confessed his feelings for Brenda and his regret that he had never told Brenda how he felt. Jason asked Dante how he would feel if he betrayed someone who trusted him. He told Dante about his affair with Elizabeth and said that he knew from personal experience that betrayal was a regret that one carried for life. Dante said that he had made his decision three years before, but he did not know how to live with it. Steve dropped by to let Dante know that Aleksander's body would be released from the east loading dock later that evening After Steve left, Jason got out his gun. When Dante protested, Jason said that Jerry was unpredictable and ruthless and that if he shot Jerry it would be in self-defense. Dante still objected to Jason carrying a gun, but Jason said that no one, including Mac would be sorry if Jerry ended up dead. At the loading dock, Jason and Dante hid out and watched. Dante reminded Jason that the object was to follow whoever showed up to collect the body, not shoot them. A few minutes later, Jerry appeared. Dante noted that Jerry appeared at GH in person. He speculated that Jerry was the Balkan. Sam caught up with Abby at Kelly's. They talked about Michael. Abby said that she really liked him and that she was happy that they were going out on a date. Abby left to catch up on schoolwork Michael returned to Kelly's and met up with Sam. He told Sam that Abby was a person he could talk to and he wanted to have a relationship with her. He said that he could have a fresh start with Abby. Sam approved and said that sometimes, family was too close to be objective. 12/14 At Kelly's, Michael sought Sam's advice about his first date with Abby. He wanted to take Abby to an Italian restaurant and then go ice-skating, but he didn't know if Abby would enjoy that. Sam admitted that she didn't know Abby well enough to be familiar with her likes and dislikes. However, Sam didn't think that it was wise for Michael to go out with Abby. Michael seemed surprised by Sam's comment. Sam feared that Michael might have another run-in with one of Abby's customers. Michael assured Sam that he would be able to control himself, but Sam had her doubts. She was worried that Michael would jeopardize his parole, so she urged him to simply avoid the situation by not going out with Abby. Michael explained that Abby accepted him. He revealed that when he was with Abby, he forgot how messed up he really was. Later, Carly thanked Sam for meeting her at Kelly's. As they sat down at a table, Carly explained that she had met Abby, so she wanted to know more about the woman that Sam had introduced to Michael. Sam would only reveal that she had met Abby Haver while working on a case. However, Sam assured Carly that Michael and Abby had hit it off and that Abby was a good person. Carly insisted that she wanted Michael with kids closer to his own age, so she asked Sam to have a talk with Abby. Sam refused to get involved because it wasn't any of her business. Sam then suggested that Carly stay out of it too. Carly made it clear that she didn't need Sam to tell her how to deal with her child. Sam argued that Michael was not a child and hadn't been one for quite some time. Sam also revealed that other kids were afraid of Michael. Sam believed that Carly should accept that Michael would not have the life that Carly had planned, or she would end up losing Michael. At the loading dock, Jason and Dante hid out of sight while Jerry Jacks claimed Aleksander Janacek's body. Jerry quickly sensed that he was being watched, so Jerry drew a gun and then took the morgue attendant hostage. Jerry ordered Jason to show himself. Jason reluctantly complied, while Dante circled around to get a clear shot at Jerry. Jason demanded to know why Jerry was after Brenda. Jerry couldn't believe how so many men made fools of themselves over Brenda. According to Jerry, Brenda was lethal and far more dangerous than anyone realized. Jerry claimed that no man had ever walked away unscathed from Brenda, so Jerry had decided that it was his job to stop her. Jason was curious what Brenda had ever done to Jerry. Jerry refused to give Jason a direct answer. Things took a sudden violent turn when Jerry decided that it was time to leave. Jerry inched close to the driver's side door of the van, shot the morgue attendant in the back, and then jumped into the van. Jerry managed to escape while Dante and Jason scrambled to call for help and then coordinate roadblocks with Lucky, in an effort to catch Jerry. Within moments, Steve was at the loading dock to check on the condition of the morgue attendant. The morgue attendant was rushed into surgery while Dante and Jason jumped into Jason's car to follow Jerry's van. Jason and Dante called Lucky to warn him that Jerry was fast approaching Lucky's position. Jason explained that they were on Jerry's tail. Lucky advised Jason and Dante to be careful because a roadblock had been set up. In the van, Jerry saw the roadblock. Jerry apologized to Aleksander and then swerved off of the road. A short time later, Jason, Dante, and Lucky looked down at the mutilated wreckage of the van. Dante warned Jason and Lucky that it would take some time to pull the van out of the ravine, but Dante was certain that Jerry couldn't have survived the crash. Dante was certain that Brenda and Siobhan were out of danger. Jason revealed that Jerry had survived worse, while Lucky reminded Dante that they hadn't been certain that Jerry had been the Balkan. 12/15 Carly arrived at Jason's penthouse in a good mood. She believed that Jason had called her because he had changed his mind about exposing Dante and Brenda's secret. Jason explained that the reason he had asked her to stop by was because Jerry might have been killed in a crash. Carly reminded Jason that Jerry had survived worse. She feared that it might be a cover, so that Jerry could figure out his next move. Jason reminded her that nothing was certain until Jerry's body had been recovered. Carly decided that she had to tell Jax about Jerry, but she confessed that she was relieved. Carly realized that if Jerry was dead then all of their troubles were behind them, and Brenda could return to Europe. Jason disagreed; Brenda would not be out of danger until they could confirm that Jerry had been the Balkan. A short time later, Michael showed up at Jason's penthouse. Michael was relieved that they were alone because he wanted to talk to Jason about Abby. Jason was concerned that Michael might have had another run-in with one of Abby's customers, but Michael clarified that he had asked Abby out on a date. Michael was certain that Abby had decided not to go out with him because she was afraid of Michael's temper. Jason wondered if Abby had told him that. Michael admitted that Abby had claimed that she was too old for him, but Michael didn't believe her. Jason was curious if Abby would lie to Michael. "No," Michael conceded, but he believed that Abby feared that Michael would lose it and then take it out on her. Jason warned Michael not to jump to conclusions; he suggested that Abby might have had personal reasons, which had nothing to do with Michael, for not wanting to get involved. Jason insisted that it was Abby's call to make, so Michael should respect her decision. Dante went to Jason's penthouse to let Jason know that Jerry's body hadn't been recovered. Jason explained that Spinelli was keeping tabs on the investigation. Dante was annoyed by the reminder of Spinelli's involvement and who Jason was. Dante felt that the lines between Jason's world and Dante's world were blurred more than ever. Jason had no idea what Dante was talking about. Jason made it clear that he wouldn't reveal anything about Dante's involvement in Aleksander's death because he didn't want to endanger Michael's parole. Dante acknowledged that they were at a stalemate, at least until Michael's parole ended. Dante decided to change the subject; he wondered if Brenda had returned. Jason explained that Brenda was with Sonny. Dante's annoyance returned. Dante couldn't understand why Sonny would buy Brenda a house when he already had Greystone Manor. Jason explained that it was what Sonny did and then revealed that Sonny had once bought a cow pasture for Brenda, so that they could go on a picnic. Dante couldn't believe that Sonny would have the arrogance to show up on a farmer's doorstep to demand that the man sell his land to Sonny, so that Sonny could impress Brenda. Jason didn't understand why Dante was so angry about it; according to Jason, Sonny had overpaid for the land. Dante explained that the farmer hadn't been given any choice in the matter. Dante insisted that Sonny was just a notch above Jerry. Jason clarified that Sonny didn't kill innocent people. Dante didn't care; he insisted that Sonny was a disaster for anyone close to him, including Brenda. Dante wanted Jason to persuade Brenda to end things with Sonny and then return to Italy once the danger had passed. Jason refused to do it. Jason made it clear that his job was to keep Brenda alive, nothing more. Carly arrived home to find Jerry playing with Josslyn on the sofa. 12/16 At Jason's penthouse, Jason was certain that Jerry would eventually seek him out, so he suggested that they wait for Jerry to make a move. Dante wasn't keen on using Brenda as bait, but Jason insisted that he knew Jerry better than Dante did. Jason was confident that Jerry would try to go after him because it would leave Brenda vulnerable. Dante seemed a bit offended by the suggestion that he and Lucky weren't a threat. Jason explained that Dante and Lucky wouldn't break the law, but Jason would, so Jason was Jerry's biggest obstacle. Dante was curious why Jerry would target Brenda if it might hurt Jax. According to Jason, Brenda wasn't part of Jax's family, so she was fair game. Moments later, a man knocked on the door. The man quickly determined who Dante was and then served him with papers. A short time later, Diane arrived to review the papers. Diane explained that Dante and Brenda were being sued for the wrongful death of Anton Banovic, the man who had tried to abduct Brenda in an alleyway. Jason wanted Diane to make the lawsuit go away, but she explained that it wasn't that simple. Dante argued that the shooting had been self-defense. Diane reminded Dante that they only had Dante's word for that because Brenda had never made a formal statement. Diane warned them that Brenda would have to be deposed. "No way," Jason warned Diane. Jason made it clear that he expected Diane to honor their attorney-client privilege. Diane assured him that she understood, so Jason and Dante told her about Aleksander Janacek's death. Jason explained that the Balkan was after Brenda to find out how his son had died. Jason insisted that Brenda couldn't testify because she'd end up incriminating herself. As Jax watched, Jerry aimed his gun at Carly. Jerry was reluctant to shoot Carly, but he vowed to do so if Jax didn't cooperate. Jax relented, but he vowed to call the police as soon as Jerry was gone. Jerry assured his brother that he didn't expect anything less; Jerry just needed a head start. 12/17 A hysterical Carly stormed into Jason's penthouse and demanded to know what Brenda had done to Jerry. Carly explained to Jason that she had walked into her home to find Jerry holding Josslyn and that he'd pulled a gun on Carly. He'd said he was there because of Brenda. Brenda said that she'd done nothing intentionally to anger Jerry. That wasn't good enough for Carly, who insisted that Brenda tell her the truth. Brenda admitted that she'd accidentally killed the Balkan's son and that Dante had covered it up. Carly berated Jason for not having told her, but he explained that the more people who knew, the more danger everyone would be in. "You promised to protect her," Carly said, referring to Brenda. "I never did." With that, she left. Brenda told Jason that she was worried for his safety. He changed the subject, and they soon began a heated argument over the color pink. As Brenda removed the regrettably pink pillows, Jax arrived and asked to speak to Brenda alone. Jason agreed, as long as Jax promised they would not leave the building. Jax said yes, and Jason left. Jax vowed, cryptically, to stop Jerry. Brenda worried that Jax would be destroyed if he took his own brother's life. Jason caught up with Carly and made it clear that she could, under no circumstances, let anyone know that Brenda and Dante had been involved in the cover-up of Alexander's death. Sonny walked in and asked why Jason wasn't guarding Brenda. Jason let Sonny know that she was with Jax, which gave no comfort to Sonny. At the waterfront, Jerry met Siobhan, disappointed that she hadn't gotten Lucky there. Jerry threatened to dispose of her until his phone rang. On the other end was Theo, whose British accent had been replaced by a New York one. He made it clear that he knew Jerry was meeting with Siobhan and threatening her. Jerry angrily responded that the man had it easy as the Balkan, hidden away where no one was gunning for him. Siobhan was shocked to discover that Jerry was not the Balkan after all. Jerry let her know that he'd never seen the man's face. "Maybe I should remedy that," the Balkan said. "Maybe it's time for you to better understand who I am and what I want." 12/20 Jason, Sonny, and Carly argued about Dante and Brenda in Sonny's restaurant office. Carly was livid after learning from Brenda that she had shot the Balkan's son, and Dante had covered it up. She wanted to see Dante in Pentonville and Brenda in shackles. She demanded that Dante pay for causing Michael to go to prison. Jason urged Carly to focus on what mattered, which was to deal with the immediate threat caused by Jerry. After a long rant against Dante, Carly finally agreed to keep silent about what she knew but told Sonny that he owed her big time. She told Sonny to never refer to that "son of a bitch," Dante, as Michael or Morgan's brother again and then stomped out of the office, followed by Jason. Jason arrived home and he told Brenda that there was no sign of Jerry and that there was no word about the lawsuit. Brenda was adamant that she could not go on the stand. Spinelli arrived home just as Brenda got flustered and said that she needed to go for a walk. Spinelli agreed to take her, but Jason said that Spinelli could not protect her and Jason would go. Jason and Brenda were talking about the lawsuit when they turned a corner. Following closely behind was Theo, who stopped them and showed Brenda a glove that he thought was hers. Brenda checked her pocket and found that the glove was hers. She thanked Theo and moved on with Jason. Theo stood silently watching them with an appraising look. 12/21 At Jason's penthouse, Jason was reviewing some phone records to get a lead on Jerry when Brenda entered the living room. Brenda suggested that Jason change clothes for Luke and Tracy's wedding, but Jason informed her that he wasn't going. Brenda explained that she intended to go, so Jason had to take her. Jason thought that it was a bad idea to attend the wedding because he wasn't certain that Jerry was dead. Brenda refused to skip out on the wedding; she argued that there would be plenty of guards to protect her and that Sonny would be there. Jason argued that he had not been invited, but Brenda didn't think that should stop him. She reminded him that Tracy was his aunt and that Edward had lost Lila, Alan, and AJ, so Jason should be at the wedding for Edward's sake. Jason refused to relent. After Brenda left, Jason called Sam to invite her over. Sam was surprised to learn that they had the penthouse to themselves. After a brief kiss, Jason suggested that they buy a Christmas tree. Sam couldn't believe that Jason would want one. Jason knew that Sam liked Christmas trees, so he was willing to buy one to please her. Sam was thrilled, but she insisted that she select the tree and the decorations for it. Jason recalled that she didn't have good luck picking out Christmas trees, but he agreed to let Sam choose. 12/22 Jason and Sam entered the penthouse with a small Christmas tree. Sam placed the tiny tree on the table as Jason chuckled. Sam refused to apologize for picking such a spindly tree. She reminded Jason that he had no room to talk because he had a tendency to pick up strays himself. Sam then held up some mistletoe, so that Jason would kiss her. After the kiss, Sam decided to fetch the box of Christmas ornaments, so that they could decorate the tree. Moments later, Molly stopped by to pick up Jason for a shopping trip. Molly insisted that Jason needed help to pick out the perfect gift for Sam. Sam appeared at the top of the stairs in time to hear her sister's comment. Sam informed Molly that Jason wouldn't be going anywhere because they had plans to decorate the tree. Molly was aghast when she saw the little tree on the living room table. Sam ignored Molly's reaction as she invited Molly to help them decorate. Molly agreed and then proceeded to offer decorating tips. Michael stopped by moments later. Michael smiled when he saw the small tree, but he accepted Sam's offer to help them decorate it. Molly was about to tell everyone how the tradition of the Christmas tree began when Spinelli walked in. Spinelli stopped short when he saw everyone standing in the living room. Spinelli admitted that he hadn't been expecting anyone to be home. Jason invited Spinelli to join them, but Spinelli insisted that he had an important project to work on and then disappeared into his room. Michael and Molly talked about a ski trip that Molly and Kristina planned to go on. Michael recommended a certain ski run for them to try, but Molly suggested that he join them on the trip. Michael didn't think that the court would give him permission to leave town, but Jason and Sam encouraged Michael to make the request. Jason and Sam thought that it would be good for Michael to take a short vacation. Moments later, Spinelli returned to the living room, dressed up in a suit. Jason wondered where Spinelli was headed to, but Spinelli refused to tell them anything. After Spinelli left, Molly confessed that she suspected that Spinelli intended to win back Maxie. Later, everyone enjoyed cookies and eggnog as they looked at their handiwork. Molly offered to take Jason shopping for Sam's present, but Jason assured Molly that it wasn't necessary because he had already bought a gift for Sam. Sam insisted that she didn't need a present. According to Sam, spending time with them decorating the tree had been all that she had wanted. Sam admitted that she had spent most Christmases alone, so she appreciated celebrating the holiday with them. As Sam talked about what their company meant to her, Jason realized that he and Michael needed to do something. Jason ordered Michael to grab a coat because they had to go somewhere. 12/27 Edward took a private moment in his study. He spoke to Lila's photograph and told her how happy he was that Tracy had found love with Luke. He was interrupted when Michael and Jason arrived through the terrace door. They told Edward that they were there to wish him a "Merry Christmas." Edward was overjoyed. Edward ranted against Sonny for keeping Michael away, but Jason said it was Jason's fault because he had kept Michael away from his family. Edward said it was also his own fault because he had tried too hard to keep Jason close. Michael said that Sonny had been a great father and that he took responsibility for his own actions. Edward said that he was proud of Michael and offered him a chance to become a real Quartermaine by taking an internship at ELQ. Michael was not ready and said that he had to think about it. Edward said that the offer was open indefinitely. He thanked Jason for Michael's visit and told them to go enjoy the party. Luke and Tracy’s reception proceeded joyously. When Jason spied Spinelli, he demands to know what Spinelli is up to? Jason observes the Spinelli doesn’t even know Luke or Tracy. Spinelli said he was there to bury the hatchet with Dante as a favor to Lulu. Jason kinda of congratulated Sonny and Brenda on their engagement, but said Brenda had to stay at the penthouse because her life was still in danger. She agreed and said it would be fun to be old-fashioned and sleep apart until the wedding. At the penthouse, Brenda asked for Jason's promise that he would attend the wedding. He told her that he would, but she had to remember that her life was still in danger. He told her that he hoped to find the Balkan before the wedding. When Jason left, she went upstairs. Jason went to see Diane, who said that Theo was not optimistic about avoiding a trial. Theo went to see Brenda and said that they needed to discuss the man that she had killed. 12/28 Jason arrived home to find Theo there with Brenda. Brenda introduced Theo to Jason, but he had already known about Theo. Brenda wanted some fresh air, so she decided to take a walk. After Brenda left, Jason asked what Theo's take on the lawsuit was. Theo explained that Brenda's fame and connection to Sonny were problematic. Theo warned Jason that a jury would watch Brenda closely. Jason was certain that Brenda would fall apart on the witness stand, so he ordered Theo to settle the case before it went to trial. Theo didn't think that it was possible because the Banovic family wanted to make Brenda suffer. Jason confided that killing a man, even in self-defense, had nearly destroyed Brenda. Brenda returned to the penthouse in a good mood. She shared the news about her engagement with Jason, but he had already heard about it. Brenda revealed that she had seen Dante and that he had congratulated her. It had made Brenda realize how silly she had been to believe everyone who had made her feel as if she and Sonny were doomed. Brenda insisted that the opposite was true. Brenda thanked Jason for forcing her to return to Port Charles because it had been the best thing to happen to her. Jason tensed when Brenda ordered him to stand still. Seconds later, Brenda hugged Jason. Jason hesitated a moment and then wrapped his arms around Brenda to return the hug. On the sidewalk, Theo ordered one of his goons to keep Brenda under 24-hour surveillance. Dimitri suggested that Theo simply kill Brenda, since Theo had gained full access to her. Theo explained that he needed information from Brenda, so he intended to break her down to get what he needed and then kill her. 12/29 Spinelli was making his way to the front door when Jason called out to him. Jason wanted to know why Spinelli had gone to Luke and Tracy's wedding uninvited. Spinelli claimed that he had gone to the wedding to make peace with the "devious detective." Jason didn't believe Spinelli. Spinelli opted to lie again. According to Spinelli, he had been concerned about Brenda.
Spinelli insisted that Brenda and Sonny's engagement was a bad idea because they wouldn't make each other happy. Jason argued that it wasn't their call to make, so he warned Spinelli not to say anything to Brenda. Spinelli thought that it was their duty, as Brenda's friends, to intercede when disaster loomed. Jason disagreed; their only responsibility was to protect her from the Balkan. Spinelli didn't think that the Balkan was a threat since Jerry Jacks was dead. Jason admitted that he wasn't convinced that Jerry had died or that Jerry was the Balkan. After Spinelli left, Lucky stopped by to let Jason know that Theo had been at the police station. Lucky had realized that Brenda and Dante were in a lot of trouble. Jason was concerned that Brenda might confess to killing Aleksander if she were forced to testify because Anton's shooting had been eerily similar to what had happened to Aleksander. However, Jason sensed that something seemed off about the lawsuit; he couldn't understand how Anton's family hadn't known what Anton had been planning to do to Brenda. Lucky suggested that perhaps the Banovic family were in denial.
Jason argued that the timing of the lawsuit and Jerry's sudden appearance in town were suspicious. Lucky thought perhaps Jason was looking for a connection where there wasn't one. Jason admitted that the connection might not be between Jerry and the lawsuit, but rather Jerry and Siobhan. Lucky was curious how Jason had reached that conclusion. Jason reminded Lucky that Siobhan had been the one to provide them with Jerry's name. Lucky and Jason discussed what Siobhan had witnessed on the piers when Jerry had been shot. Lucky assured Jason that Siobhan was a reliable witness, but Jason questioned the convenience of Siobhan stumbling into Jerry just in time to see him shot by a sniper and then plunge into the water. Lucky reluctantly agreed that he couldn't ignore the coincidence. Jason revealed that it was odd that Jerry's body hadn't been recovered. Lucky thought that Jason, of all people, should be able to appreciate that bodies weren't always recovered from the water off of the piers. Jason argued that Jerry's body hadn't been found after the van had crashed, so Jason suspected that Jerry was alive and buying himself some time to go after Brenda from another direction. Carly was delighted when she saw Jason enter the lobby. Carly was curious what Jason had thought about her Christmas gift to him. Jason appreciated the pool table, but he insisted that it had to be stored at her house when it was delivered because he didn't have room at his place. Carly suggested that he simply get rid of his dinning room table, but Jason refused to consider it.
Carly argued that she had bought a pool table for them, so that they could shoot pool at his place, since he no longer met her at Jake's. Jason patiently explained that he didn't have time to play pool with her because he was busy protecting Brenda. Carly didn't think that they had to worry about Brenda because she would be leaving soon. Jason was curious what Carly meant by that. Carly quickly explained that Brenda would be moving out after she married Sonny. Jason didn't believe Carly because he knew that she didn't want Sonny to marry Brenda. He was certain that Carly intended to stop the wedding in some way. Carly denied it, but Jason saw through the lie. 1/3 Carly and Jason were conversing at the Metro Court when she got a call from Morgan, who was on a chartered bus bound for a ski trip. As they talked, the bus began to swerve. Carly was horrified as she heard Morgan and others scream before the phone went dead. The bus careened off the road and then down the side of the mountain. Afterwards, bodies littered the ground, but no one moved as a montage of scenes showed to “Hallelujah”. Carly turned to Jason to tell him that she was certain that the bus had crashed. and then suddenly exclaimed that something was wrong. Carly had heard the other passengers screaming, and the sounds of a crash before she lost her connection. She tried to reach Morgan, and Jason tried to reach Michael, but there was no answer on either phone. Carly and Jason made plans to go search for the bus. At the bus crash site, bodies were scattered over the snowy landscape. Most had been thrown from the bus and plummeted into a deep ravine. Steve was the first to awake He had minor injuries, but nothing life-threatening. He found Cameron, who was also uninjured. Maxie was uninjured, but Matt had a broken arm, which Steve treated with a makeshift sling. Molly, Kristina, and Ali were okay, as were Taylor and Michael and the rest of the students but Morgan and Olivia were missing. Because they had been thrown into a ravine, no one could get cell service. They were afraid that they would not be found because the driver had taken an alternate route. Michael, Molly, and Taylor searched for other survivors and found the driver, who was badly hurt. He passed away before Steve could treat him. Molly was distraught because she had not administered first aid, but Steve said there was nothing she could have done to help him. Michael and Taylor went looking for Morgan, but found Olivia, who was seriously injured. Neither Michael nor Taylor noticed Morgan's cap, which was lying behind a bush a few feet away from Olivia. Sonny's phone rang. He picked it up and told Carly he was too busy to talk to her. She told him about the crash and said that she and Jason were on the road, looking for the crash site. Carly wanted Jason to drive faster, but he said that the conditions were too severe for high speeds, and that they needed to drive slowly so that they could look for skid marks and evidence of a crash. Carly bemoaned the fact that she had stayed home for her own selfish purposes instead of being with her sons on the ski trip. Back at the crash site, Kristina freaked out because Morgan had not been found. She went with Michael and Taylor to search the bus, while Ali and Molly stayed behind to tend the fire. The teens did not find Morgan on the bus, but they did hear a truck on the road above. Michael scrambled up the ravine, but there was no sign of a truck when he reached the highway. 1/4 Nearby, Alexis and Sonny anxiously waited for news about their children. Sam approached the nurses' station, looking for Epiphany, but Epiphany wasn't available. Sam spotted Alexis, so she walked up to her mother to find out what was going on. Alexis and Sonny told Sam about the bus crash. Sam decided to wait at the hospital with her mother.Later, Sam confessed to Nikolas and Brook that she wished that she had gone on the ski trip, so that she could have helped those who had been injured. Nikolas suggested that they should have faith that the passengers could take care of themselves. Sam tried to reassure Alexis that Molly and Kristina would be fine. Alexis confessed that she wouldn't have been nearly as worried if Sam had been on the bus. Alexis trusted Sam to keep the girls safe. Sam was touched by her mother's confidence. Alexis admitted that all three of her daughters were amazing. However, Alexis was tempted to forbid Molly and Kristina to ever leave the house again. Sam chuckled as she warned her mother that Molly and Kristina would never stand for it. Jason and Carly were racing along Route 55 looking for the wreckage, but they didn't see anything. Jason realized that they were probably on the wrong side of the mountain, so he turned around. Near the crash site, Michael found Morgan collapsed in the snow with a broken leg. Morgan was in considerable pain, but conscious. Michael realized that Morgan wouldn't be able to walk on his own, so Michael hoisted Morgan over his shoulder and then trekked to the makeshift camp where the other passengers were gathered. At the camp, Molly wondered why they hadn't heard or seen any helicopters; she feared that no one was looking for them. Frustrated, Molly decided to go in search of Morgan, but Michael suddenly appeared with Morgan. Molly was relieved that Morgan was alive. Her joy was short-lived when it became clear that Morgan was hurt. Michael settled his brother on the ground and then went to fetch Steve. Steve was trying to keep a gravely injured Olivia awake by talking to her when Michael walked up. Steve quickly confirmed that Morgan had a broken leg. Steve decided to stabilize the leg, so Molly and Michael kept Morgan still while Steve worked. Molly was curious if Morgan had a compound fracture, but Kristina ordered her sister to be quiet because they didn't need to know the details. Michael invited Molly to hike to the road with him. They reached the top and a car pulled up. It was Dante and Brenda. Brenda stayed on the road with Molly while Michael took his brother to see Olivia. Brenda called Lucky to let him know that they had arrived at the crash site. Afterwards, Brenda assured Molly that help was on the way. On the road, Jason and Carly received word that Michael had managed to make a call. Carly was overjoyed to learn that Michael was okay. Her happiness quickly turned to concern when she was told that Morgan had suffered a broken leg. Molly confided to Brenda that the crash had happened quickly; one minute she had been telling Michael about her books and then the next minute the bus had swerved off of the road. Molly regretted that she hadn't been reading her first aid book because she might have been able to help the injured. Moments later, Carly and Jason arrived. Carly quickly assured herself that Molly was okay, but she was desperate to get to Morgan. Molly told Carly where Morgan was, so Carly took off with Jason close behind her. Carly and Jason reached Morgan and the other kids a short time later. Carly credited Morgan with saving everyone because they might not have known what had happened if he hadn't been on the phone with Carly at the time of the crash. As the sounds of sirens filled the air, Morgan told Carly about waking up alone with a broken leg after the accident. Morgan was grateful that Michael had found him and then carried him to safety. However, Morgan complained because he realized that he wouldn't be able to snowboard for the rest of the year. Carly assured Morgan that Jax would take him skiing as soon as Morgan's leg had healed. Carly confessed that she regretted that she hadn't been on the bus with Michael and Morgan, but Morgan insisted that Carly couldn't have prevented the crash. Nearby, Kristina shivered with cold as Taylor tried to keep her warm by wrapping his arms around her. 1/5 Jax arrived at the hospital after he had received a call from Carly about the bus accident. Alexis and Sam revealed that none of the passengers had arrived, but they were expected soon. Jason, Michael, Brenda, Dante, and Molly arrived at GH. Alexis hugged Molly and wouldn't let go. Alexis learned that Kristina had been transported by ambulance to the hospital because she had been suffering from hypothermia. Jax wondered where Carly was. Jason explained that Carly had decided to ride with Morgan in the ambulance. Molly then began to brag about Michael's heroics and how he had carried Morgan to safety. After Dante and Brenda walked away, Molly told Alexis and Sam about the accident and the bus driver's death. Alexis felt terrible that Molly had been forced to see that. Moments later, Kristina arrived. In Kristina's hospital room, Alexis, Sam, and Molly hovered near Kristina. Sam offered to get some burgers, but Alexis decided that it was time to get Molly home. However, Alexis wanted Sam to spend the night with Kristina. Sam readily agreed, but Kristina argued that it wasn't necessary. Elizabeth returned to the hospital with Jake. Jason couldn't seem to take his eyes off of Jake as he asked Elizabeth how Cam was doing. Elizabeth assured Jason and Sam that Cam was fine. Elizabeth noticed how Jason was looking at Jake, so she asked Jake if he remembered Jason and Sam. Jake smiled sweetly at Jason. Jason looked crushed after Elizabeth walked away. Later, Elizabeth saw Jason and Sam at the nurses' station. Jason was pleasantly surprised when Elizabeth asked them to watch Jake while she delivered Cam's cookie. Elizabeth handed Jake to Sam and then walked away. Sam set Jake down on a nearby gurney where Jake proceeded to play with his toy motorcycles. Jason asked Jake about the toys, which prompted Jake to talk excitedly about his love for motorcycles. Jason confessed that he had a real motorcycle. Jake smiled and then invited Jason to play with him. Jason appeared choked up with emotion as he spent some precious time with his son. Montage of scenes to "Hallelujah," performed by Jeff Buckley 1/7 Sam stopped by Jason's penthouse to see if she had left her gun there. Jason held it up as he told her that he had broken it down and then cleaned it. "And people say you aren't romantic," Sam quipped. Jason was curious why Sam had left so early. Sam explained that she had needed to get to work, but Jason suspected that there was more. Sam glanced at the staircase as she asked if "she" was around. Jason revealed that one of the guards had taken Brenda for a walk. Sam was horrified by the callous comment that made Brenda sound like a dog. Jason explained that he simply meant that Brenda was out doing whatever it was that Brenda did during her walks. Jason continued to push for an answer about Sam's early departure until Sam confessed that it was a bit stressful to be around Brenda. Jason revealed that he had hoped to thank Sam earlier for helping him with Jake. He admitted that he had no idea how to act around his son, so he had appreciated Sam's presence. Sam confessed that she had been surprised that Elizabeth had asked him to watch Jake. She believed that it had been Elizabeth's way of giving Jason the opportunity to get to know Jake. Sam thought that Jake was a lot like Jason. Jason grinned as Sam recalled that the motorcycle thing had been crazy. She also thought that Jake was as determined as Jason, but a lot more talkative. Jason and Sam agreed that it was easy to see that Jake was happy. Sam realized that Jason missed his son, but Jason insisted that Jake had a good family and life, so his pain was a small price to pay. Sam suggested that perhaps spending time with Jake had been Jason's reward for putting up with Brenda. At the mention of Brenda, Jason began to talk about the wrongful death lawsuit and the possible ramifications if Brenda testified. Jason feared that Dante would be charged with a crime, which might prompt Judge Carroll to revoke Michael's parole. Sam agreed that it was a bad idea for Brenda to testify. Jason revealed that Theo had promised to protect Brenda on the witness stand. Sam was curious what Jason thought about Theo's skill as an attorney. Jason admitted that he wanted to know more about Theo. Sam was willing to investigate the attorney, so Jason offered to pay for her services. Sam assured him that it wasn't necessary; however, Jason insisted. Sam and Jason sealed their bargain with a kiss just as Brenda walked in. Sam quickly excused herself and then left. Brenda turned to Jason for help planning the wedding, but Jason quickly made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with it. Later, Jason was curious why Brenda was in a rush to marry Sonny. Brenda reminded Jason that she loved Sonny and then added that she was eager to move out of the penthouse. Jason perked up at the thought of Brenda moving in with Sonny, but he insisted that she couldn't leave until it was safe. Jason promised to carry her to Sonny's house the moment she was out of danger. Brenda liked the idea of Jason carrying her to Sonny's house; however, she was more concerned about the wedding plans. Jason didn't care, so Brenda called Spinelli. Spinelli raced over to the penthouse, where Brenda explained that she needed him to help her put together a wedding. Spinelli softly explained that he couldn't help her because he was opposed to the marriage. Spinelli feared that Brenda might lose her career, her position with ASEC, and possibly her life if she married Sonny. Brenda was clearly disappointed, but she refused to apologize for following her heart. After Spinelli left, Brenda turned to Jason. She blamed Jason for Spinelli's reaction, so she demanded that he fix things. Later, Carly stormed into McCall and Jackal Private Investigations. Carly demanded to know who "the hell" Sam thought she was to introduce Michael to a stripper and then lie to Carly about it. Sam explained that Abby was a good friend to Michael, but Carly wasn't satisfied. Carly resented Sam meddling in Michael's life because Sam was not Michael's mother. She ordered Sam to keep her "sleazy" friends away from Michael. Sam revealed that Michael had been having difficulty with kids his age because of the time that he had spent in jail. According to Sam, Michael had approached her to ask her to introduce him to an older woman, since girls his age made him uncomfortable. Sam didn't regret setting Michael up with Abby because Abby was a good person. Carly realized that Michael had difficulty relating to his peers, but she explained that Michael needed support and help to rebuild his confidence, not to meet strippers. Sam defended Abby by revealing that Abby stripped to put herself through college. Carly suggested that Sam and Abby were kindred spirits out to get what they could. Sam was curious why Carly was such a "bitch." Carly explained that Michael was a damaged teenaged boy, so she refused to let Abby wreck his life further. Carly warned Sam to stay out of Michael's life or there would be "hell" to pay. Later, at McCall and Jackal Private Investigations, Diane agreed to collaborate with Spinelli. Diane decided to read him a draft of the introduction. Spinelli was unimpressed, which offended Diane. Spinelli thought that it was important for them to have honest exchanges if they were going to work together. Diane agreed, so she invited him to give it a try. Spinelli assumed his gumshoe detective voice and then began to narrate a new scene. Diane and Spinelli disagreed about a position that the Jackal and a femme fatale found themselves in. Spinelli decided to show Diane that the position was entirely possible. Moments later Jason walked into the office. Jason immediately ordered Diane to get off of Spinelli. Diane and Spinelli tried to explain what Jason had walked in on, but Jason didn't want to know. Jason explained that he needed a background check on Theo Hoffman. Theo met with Dante and Brenda at Jason's penthouse to discuss the wrongful death lawsuit. Brenda wondered if they could get a continuance. Theo explained that a man's son was dead and that the father had a right to expect someone to pay for it. Dante appeared puzzled by Theo's remark. 1/10 Jason joined Diane and Spinelli in Spinelli's P.I. office. Diane was miffed when Jason ordered Spinelli to do a full background check on Theo. Diane assured Jason that Theo was above reproach, but Jason was not so sure and wanted to know more about the surly barrister. When Spinelli asked Jason's opinion of Brenda's engagement to Sonny, Jason said it was none of his business. He encouraged Spinelli to help Brenda plan the wedding, after he finished gathering information on Theo. Brenda was looking at bride magazines when Jason arrived home. He told her that he had spoken with Spinelli as she had asked, and he had agreed to help with the wedding. When Brenda said she wanted to ask for another favor, Jason was leery. Brenda said that she wanted Jason to walk her down the aisle. Jason suggested Edward instead, but Brenda said that Edward would keep advising her to flee, and she did not want to listen to a naysayer on her wedding day. Jason agreed to give her away, but said he did not want to help with the flowers or other arrangements. Brenda had happy tears as she gave Jason a big hug. Sam had a checkup at GH with Kelly, who said that she was investigating a new procedure that might allow Sam to have a baby. Sam said that she and Jason were happy as they were and did not want children but when she got in the elevator, Sam's face told a different story. Carly met up with Jason in the restaurant office. She was both livid and tearful after her fight with Michael over Abby. Jason told her that it was a fight that she would not win. He told her that things were more complicated than she imagined. She said that she could not stand by and let anything bad happen to Michael. Carly said that she had made mistakes with Michael. Jason said that they all had. Carly railed against Abby and said that she was emotionally damaged, or she would not work at a strip club. Jason said that Michael was emotionally damaged, but that he had a connection to Abby and was opening up to her. Jason told Carly that they needed to stay out of Michael's way. 1/11 In the office at Pozzulo's, Carly was hurt that Jason hadn't told her about Abby. She couldn't believe that Michael had been seeing Abby since October. Jason believed that it had just been a one-time thing until Michael had called for help after an altercation with one of the club's customers who had hassled Abby on the street. Carly insisted that it was exactly that kind of situation that could send Michael back to Pentonville. Jason assured Carly that he had already warned Michael. Jason revealed that Michael continued to see Abby because Michael felt comfortable talking to her. Carly argued that Michael could talk to them, but Jason disagreed. Jason confided that even he had difficulty discussing what had happened to him in Pentonville. Jason reminded Carly that Michael wasn't as jaded as Jason and that what Michael had experienced had been far worse. Carly suggested that they find a therapist for Michael, but Jason didn't think that Michael would go. Jason explained that Abby seemed to help, so they needed to respect Michael's choices. Carly wept as she admitted that she was terrified for Michael. Jason realized that Carly would do anything for her children, so he urged her to leave Michael's relationship with Abby alone. He advised her to "stay cool" by not fighting with Michael or forcing Michael to fight her. Carly confessed that being a parent was extremely difficult. Later, Michael stormed into Pozzulo's to talk to Jason. Michael admitted that he had gone to Vaughn's to see Abby dance, but he had been enraged to see the type of clientele that the strip club catered to. Jason couldn't understand why Michael would go to Vaughn's when it might have jeopardized Michael's parole. Michael ignored the question as he told Jason about the faraway look in Abby's eyes as she danced and how disgusted he had been by the men who had thrown money at her. Michael confessed that it had made him feel like he had when he had been trapped with Carter in the jail cell. Michael was livid because none of the men in the strip club realized how nice and smart Abby was. According to Michael, the men in the club had reminded him of Carter. Jason insisted that Carter was dead. Michael admitted that he wished that he had killed Carter; however, he realized that the men who patronized Vaughn's weren't Carter. Michael understood that they were just a bunch of guys watching Abby do her job. Jason once again wondered why Michael had gone to Vaughn's. Michael explained that he had talked to Sonny about Abby. Sonny had mentioned that Michael could never understand what it was like to work in a strip club, so Michael had decided to check out Vaughn's. Michael had been disgusted by what he had seen, but Jason was curious if Abby had ever complained about her work. "No," Michael admitted. Jason suggested that they shouldn't judge Abby for working there. However, Jason was relieved that Michael had been able to walk away instead of giving in to his rage. Moments later, Michael received a text message from Abby. Sam bumped into Abby on the street. She immediately realized that Abby was upset when Abby asked if Sam had seen Michael. Abby quickly filled Sam in on what had happened. Sam felt terrible; she had never meant for things to get so complicated between Abby and Michael. Abby insisted that Michael was the best thing that had ever happened to her, so she wasn't sorry that Sam had introduced them to each other. Abby confessed that Carly had strong objections to Michael and Abby and that Carly had reason to question Abby's morality, but Sam refused to let Abby put herself down. Sam was curious if Abby had real feelings for Michael. Abby admitted that Michael respected her and made her feel special, so she refused to walk away from him. Sam was pleased; she didn't think that Abby should give up on Michael simply because Carly didn't like the relationship. Sam promised to let Michael know that Abby was looking for him and then left. Jason found Sam waiting for him when he arrived home. Sam told Jason about her encounter with Abby, so Jason filled her in on his talk with Michael. Jason thought that Abby was good for Michael because she had helped him to open up. Sam warned Jason that Abby had developed feelings for Michael. Jason realized that Carly wouldn't be happy, especially since she was still recovering from the scare of nearly losing both of her sons in the bus crash. Sam felt terrible that she hadn't taken that into consideration the last time that she had seen Carly. Jason didn't think that the scare of the bus crash justified Carly disrespecting Sam. Sam understood why Carly was upset, but Sam had sincerely thought that introducing Michael to Abby had been the best solution for Michael's problem. Jason admitted that he hadn't been thrilled about the idea in the beginning, but he could tell that Abby had helped Michael; however, Jason had no idea how to tell Carly about Michael's visit to Vaughn's. Sam suggested that Jason keep quiet about the incident, but Jason argued that Carly had a right to know. Sam realized that Jason had a point; she would want to know if Michael had been her son. Jason recalled the time that he had recently spent with Jake. He remembered looking at Michael at Jake's age and wondering what Michael would grow up to be like. "Here we are," Jason added with a tinge of sadness in his voice. Sam urged Jason to remember that he had done a lot of things right for Michael. Jason appreciated her support, but he was grateful that Jake wouldn't have to go through what Michael had. 1/12 At Jason's penthouse, Jason was reading the Port Charles Herald when Brenda entered the living room. Brenda saw the headline about a body that had been found in the harbor. Jason warned Brenda not to assume that she was safe simply because the body might be Jerry's. Brenda decided to change the subject by showing off her engagement ring, but Jason lectured her about taking off with Sonny without her bodyguards. Brenda couldn't understand why Jason was upset, so Jason patiently explained that there wouldn't be a wedding if she were dead. Jason went to Lucky's apartment to talk to Siobhan about Jerry's involvement with the Balkan. Siobhan suggested that Jason knew more about Jerry and the Balkan than she did. Jason reminded Siobhan that she had been the first person to connect Jerry to the Balkan and that she had been the last person to see Jerry alive, so he was curious about Jerry's final moments. Siobhan insisted that she had already told Lucky everything that she knew and that she had given a statement to the police. Jason insisted on hearing the information from her firsthand instead of relying on a report. Siobhan kept it short. She claimed that she had heard a man yelling on the piers. According to Siobhan, she had walked up in time to see Jerry stagger backwards from a gunshot wound. She had assumed that a silencer had been used because she hadn't heard the shot. Jason wondered if she had seen the sniper. Siobhan insisted that she hadn't seen anyone, but Jason couldn't understand how she could have missed the shooter when the person had been in her direct line of vision. Siobhan attributed it to panic. She also clarified that she hadn't realized that the man who had been shot had been Jerry until Lucky had shown her a picture. Siobhan became increasingly uncomfortable as Jason continued to pepper her with questions, so Jason decided to back off. He asked her to have Lucky call him and then left. Siobhan immediately ran to her cell phone to report to the Balkan that Jason had been asking questions about Jerry. Jason returned home to find Brenda in the living room. Brenda revealed that she had gone to see Jax, so Jason wondered if Jax had mentioned anything about Jerry being the Balkan. Brenda explained that she hadn't questioned Jax about Jerry because Jax had been waiting for confirmation that Jerry's body had been recovered from the harbor. However, Brenda revealed that she had invited Jax to the wedding. Brenda also confessed that she would have to look at wedding venues the following day with Carol. Jason immediately objected because he didn't think that it was safe for Brenda to go out. Brenda argued that she needed to find a place for the wedding. She couldn't understand why Jason had to wreck everything. Jason explained that he had doubts about Siobhan's story because he didn't trust her. He wanted Brenda to postpone the wedding because he was certain that the Balkan would try to make a move against her. Brenda believed that Jason wanted to stop the wedding because he didn't want Brenda to leave. 1/13 At the penthouse, Brenda accused Jason of being afraid to admit that he would miss her if she moved out because she gave his life some purpose. Carly barged into the penthouse before Jason could respond. Carly ordered Brenda to leave, but Brenda refused to budge. Carly started to argue with Brenda, but Jason cut Carly off by demanding to know what was going on. Carly explained that it was about Michael. Carly bristled when Brenda expressed concern about Michael. Carly refused to discuss her son with Brenda in the room, but Brenda explained that she merely wanted to help and that she would soon be Michael's stepmother. Carly pointed out that Brenda and Sonny hadn't made it down the aisle yet, so Brenda wasn't Sonny's wife. Brenda suggested that they try to do the "girlfriendy thing," so she held out her hand to show Carly the engagement ring that Sonny had bought. Carly pointedly ignored Brenda's hand as she warned Brenda to stay out of Michael's business. Carly made it clear that Michael had been through hell and then stormed out. At the penthouse, Jason was on the phone with Max. Jason ordered Max not to tell Brenda anything about Michael because Carly would go crazy if Brenda tried to butt into Michael's problems. After Jason ended the call, Spinelli arrived home. Spinelli was disappointed to learn that Brenda wasn't home, since Spinelli thought she might want to hear his news. Spinelli urged Jason to stop Sonny and Brenda's wedding because physical dangers might be the least of Brenda's worries. Jason was startled when Spinelli warned him that Carly might take it upon herself to stop the wedding. 1/14 At Jason's penthouse, Jason confronted Spinelli and demanded to know how Carly was planning to stop Sonny and Brenda's wedding. Spinelli diverted Jason's attention by explaining that Spinelli was writing a book and that he wanted his characters to be realistic, hence his interest in Carly's machinations. Jason burst in and demanded a copy of the document from Diane. Before Carly or Diane spilled the beans, Jason let on that he was looking for the manuscript that Spinelli and Diane were working on. As she left the office, Diane told him to wait until he read it before getting upset. Jason then wondered why Carly was at Sam and Spinelli's office. Carly tried to throw Jason off the scent by diverting his attention, but he saw right through her. He told her that Sonny would eventually discover anything Dante and Brenda were hiding and that Carly should leave things be. Dante went to Jason's and revealed that DNA results concluded Jerry and Alexander were not related, which led Jason and Dante to believe that the Balkan was still alive. 1/17 Dante went to the penthouse and told Jason that forensic tests proved that Jerry was not the Balkan, and Brenda was still in danger. Dante and Jason were discouraged to realize that Jerry's appearance had been a diversion, and they were back to square one. Dante had other less-than-encouraging news for Jason. Dante told Jason about Abby's arrest and Michael's near throttling of Ronnie. Both men were concerned that Michael might lose control and do something that would result in revocation of parole. Theo questioned Brenda in his office. During her recitation of the facts surrounding Anton's death, Theo insisted that she had mentioned someone named Aleksander. Brenda insisted that she had not. It did not take long for Theo to break Brenda down and find out everything that had happened on the night Aleksander had perished. She told Theo that Aleksander had never been her boyfriend. She said that he had followed her to New York, stalked her, and then attacked her police guard. She said that she'd picked up the gun the policeman had dropped and shot Aleksander. Brenda was sobbing as she admitted that Dante was the policeman who had taken the body away. Theo called her actions murder, but Brenda pleaded self-defense. Before Theo could elicit any more information, Dante and Jason arrived to tell Brenda that the Balkan was still alive. Jason left with Brenda. At General Hospital, Kelly encouraged Sam to get information about the procedure that could restore her fertility and allow her to get pregnant. Sam went to the penthouse and used Spinelli's computer to look up the fertility procedure. Jason arrived shortly after and told her that Jerry was not the Balkan. He told her about Abby's arrest and how Dante had stopped Michael from attacking Ronnie after Ronnie arrested Abby. Jason was torn. He worried about Michael's volatility, but also saw that Michael could talk to Abby because she listened to him and accepted him. Siobhan met the Balkan in a confessional booth. He told her about Aleksander's death and painted Brenda and Dante as callous murderers who would soon pay for their crimes as he would have his revenge. Sam suggested that Carly try to listen to Michael. According to Sam, Michael didn't have to pretend to be something that he wasn't when he was around Abby. Carly informed Sam that she was fully aware of what was going on with her son, but she pretended that everything was okay because that was what Michael wanted her to do. Carly made it clear that, as a mother, she would do whatever she had to for her son, so Sam needed to back off. Jason didn't think that yelling at Sam would help the situation; he insisted that they needed solutions. Carly let Jason know that she was at the end of her rope, so she was desperate for him to talk some sense into Michael. Jason surprised Carly by letting her know that he wouldn't push Michael away by telling Michael what to do. Jason believed that Michael had the right to make his own decisions. Carly disagreed if those choices landed Michael back in jail. Carly reminded Jason and Sam that she had seen the bruises on Michael's face when she had visited Michael in Pentonville, so Carly would do whatever was necessary to make sure that Michael didn't return to prison. Moments later, Michael stopped by to see Jason. Michael's hurt turned to anger when he saw his mother standing in Jason's living room. Michael screamed at his mother that he was through defending himself and Abby to her. Carly flinched when Michael ordered his mother out of Jason's penthouse. Carly insisted that she was on Michael's side, but she agreed to leave. After the door closed behind Carly, Jason reminded Michael that Carly loved Michael very much. Michael confessed that he hated arguing with his mother. Michael thought that only Jason could understand what Pentonville had been like. Sam sensed that Michael wanted to speak privately with Jason, so she offered to leave. Michael asked Sam to stay because he realized that he needed to track down his mother to straighten things out. After Michael left, Sam wondered if Jason were okay. Jason was frustrated because he was certain that Michael had been on the verge of opening up about what had happened in Pentonville with Carter. Moments later, Bernie called to let Jason know that Mike was in trouble. According to Bernie, Mike had accumulated a substantial gambling debt because of a losing streak. Jason promised to discuss it with Sonny and then ended the call. As Jason made his way to the door, he asked Sam to call Abby to arrange a meeting. Dvd #27B Jason stopped by to talk to Sonny about Mike's gambling problem. Sonny was disappointed because Mike had promised to steer clear of gambling after Mike had landed in the hospital the last time that Mike had lost a lot of money. Sonny realized that it was time for Mike to go to rehab; however, the timing couldn't be worse because of Sonny's impending wedding. Sonny suggested that Jason was an enabler when Jason suggested that they delay seeking treatment for Mike. According to Sonny, some people had to fall. Jason confessed that he didn't like seeing his loved ones suffer. Jason offered to make the arrangements to send Mike to rehab, but Sonny insisted on taking care of it himself. Sonny then changed the subject by revealing that he had intended to ask Jason to be his best man, but Michael had suggested Dante. Jason assured Sonny that he understood and then reminded Sonny that he had agreed to walk Brenda down the aisle. Jason returned to the penthouse to find Sam and Abby waiting for him. Abby assured Jason that she had never taken money for sex, but she had told Michael that she was a prostitute because it had been best for Michael. Abby conceded that Carly had good reason to be concerned about the effect of Abby's lifestyle on Michael's parole. Jason argued that Michael had a right to know the truth, so that Michael could make his own choices. Abby refused to let Michael get hurt for her sake, but Jason insisted that it was up to Michael to deal with any possible consequences. Abby began to cry as she confessed that she cared about Michael. Jason advised Abby to respect Michael enough to tell the truth. After Abby left, Sam tried to comfort Jason. She had been impressed that Jason hadn't warned Abby to stay away from Michael. Jason reminded her that it was up to Michael. Sam realized that it was difficult for Jason to watch Michael grow up. Jason corrected her; Michael had grown up in Pentonville. Jason didn't know what had happened to Michael in jail, but he would do anything to fix it. Sam confided that Abby insisted that Michael was special. Sam believed that Michael had inherited the trait from Jason. Sam was confident that Michael knew that Jason would be there when Michael was ready to talk. She insisted that Jason was very much a father to Michael and that he had been the best parent that Michael could ask for. 1/20 At the lake house, Sam found Molly resting on the sofa while working on the laptop. Sam wasn't surprised that Molly was doing homework. However, Sam was a little curious when she saw that the subject matter was bipolar disorder. Molly claimed that it was for a science paper. According to Molly, she had chosen to do a report on bipolar disorder because Sonny had it.
Sam thought that Sonny was lucky that there were ways to treat the disorder. Molly wondered if Sam had ever been concerned that Sam's stillborn daughter would have inherited the disorder from Sonny. Sam explained that Sonny hadn't been diagnosed with bipolar disorder when she had been pregnant, so it hadn't been an issue. Sam assured Molly that she would have loved her daughter regardless, but she conceded that it would have been difficult for them to watch their child suffer, knowing that they had caused it. Molly was curious if that had been the reason that Jason and Sam hadn't gotten married and had children. "Yes," Sam answered. 1/24 Michael went to see Jason at the penthouse. He said that Jason and Abby were the only people he could talk to. Michael told Jason that he finally understood something that he had read a while before: that the body was more resilient than the soul. Michael told Jason that he had talked to Carly and understood that she was trying to help, but he could only talk about Pentonville with Abby and Jason. Michael said Abby did not judge. She just listened. Michael said that at first he'd thought he could talk to Kristina, but he realized that the difference between them was that Kristina could have gotten out of her situation, but he could not leave Pentonville. Michael also said that he'd realized that Kristina was a lot like Carly. Jason said that both of them loved Michael and were trying to help. Jason said that Michael had to learn to set boundaries with Kristina just like Jason had with Carly. Sam met Kelly at General Hospital. Kelly told Sam that she had investigated the fertility procedure. She said that if the procedure worked and Sam got pregnant, she would have a 50% chance of carrying the baby to term. Sam was waiting at the penthouse when Jason got home. He told her that Michael missed Abby. Jason said that Michael was not over his experience in Pentonville, and he felt betrayed. Jason was torn between telling Michael that Abby had lied to the cops to protect him and letting Michael and Abby work things out on their own. Brandon insulted Abby as she walked by the bench where he was sitting. He would not admit to calling the cops on her, but seemed to take pleasure in her troubles. She told him to leave her alone because they were over, but Brandon grabbed her roughly. Jason happened by and intervened. He told Brandon to leave Abby alone. Brandon retreated a safe distance and watched Jason speak to Abby. Abby asked about Michael. Jason said that Michael missed Abby, and she needed to let him know that she had lied to protect him. Before Abby responded, Brandon walked up to them, brandishing a gun, and told Jason that Abby was his woman. 1/25 Brandon threatened Jason with a gun and told him to stay away from Abby. When he put the gun in Jason's face, Jason quickly disarmed him and held the gun on Brandon instead. Jason told Brandon to leave Abby alone and instructed Brandon to walk away and leave Port Charles for good. Jason said that if Brandon harassed Abby again, Jason would kill him. After Brandon was gone, Abby said that she had broken up with Brandon more than a year before and had avoided him since. She said that Brandon was one of the reasons that she was bad for Michael. Abby said that she cared about Michael and, even though they were different in years, they shared similar feelings. Jason encouraged Abby to tell Michael the truth. Jason urged Abby to trust Michael and let him figure out the situation by himself. Jason met Sam at the penthouse and told her about what had happened with Brandon and Abby. Sam told Jason that he had no idea what it was like to have someone from a bad past show up. Jason said he'd tried to get Abby to see that she was good for Michael and to at least tell Michael the truth and let him make the choice. Jason said that when he had been in a situation similar to Michael's, all he had wanted was to make his own choices and be responsible for the consequences. Jason noticed that Sam was feeling melancholy and asked why. Sam said that she had been thinking about the child she could not have and had felt left out when she saw a couple with their baby. Jason caressed her cheek and said he could understand how she could miss what she could not have. Jason said that he had made it through prison because he knew that Sam was waiting for him on the outside. He said he wished that Michael had something also. Sam said that she had also worried about Michael, but he had turned into an amazing man. Jason and Sam started kissing. They were interrupted when Michael knocked on the door. Michael apologized and would have left, but Sam said that she had to get back to work and left Michael and Jason alone. Michael told Jason that Abby was not a prostitute. He said that even when he thought she was, nothing had changed how he felt about her. Michael said that Abby was worth the risk. Michael told Jason that Abby was trying to protect him from himself. Michael said that Abby would not see him because of what had happened in prison with Carter. Michael said that Abby had been in a relationship with a guy who hit her. He said that Abby knew what it was like to be trapped and helples, like him with Carter. Michael asked if he would ever be normal, if he would ever act like he was not in prison. Jason said that Michael would always carry the experience with him. He said that he wished Michael did not have to. Jason said that he wished that he could sit Michael down, as he had done when Michael was a child, and read to him until he fell peacefully asleep and then awakened with all the bad memories gone, but that was not how it worked. Jason said that Michael had shown great courage through his ordeal. Michael said not with Carter. He said that he felt like he was always fighting him. Jason told Michael to keep fighting Carter. He told Michael not to let Carter take his soul. 1/26 As Sam arrived at Jason's place, she left a message at Kelly's office, saying that she was not ready to have a baby. Jason was home, but she had files from the office and was looking for Spinelli, who had not been to work because he was distracted both by Brenda's wedding and the book he was writing about his P.I. adventures. Just as Sam and Jason started kissing, Spinelli rushed in.
Jason left to see Diane while Spinelli and Sam discussed business. She wondered if he was tired of working with her, but he said he still loved the job. Spinelli said that he had been feeling creatively stifled. Sam said that he needed a distraction after breaking up with Maxie. She assured him that he was a great guy who would eventually find the right girl. Sam said if he ever forgot, she would remind him. Sam told Spinelli that the cases could wait another day, and he took off. Jason and Diane were discussing his legal affairs when Theo intruded and asked to sit in. Jason said that he only dealt with Diane. Theo wanted to know if Jason had a problem with him. Jason repeated that Diane was his lawyer, and he only dealt with her. Theo changed tactics and said that he wanted to interview Jason to prepare for the lawsuit. Jason said that the suit had to settle out of court. Theo said that both Sonny and Jason had made that clear. Shawn walked in, and Theo introduced him as a security consultant. Theo said that he needed an investigator to prove that Banovich had tried to kidnap Brenda, since he was putting a dead man, Banovich, on trial. Theo said that he needed a bodyguard because the Balkan might go after him. Jason said fine. Shawn spoke up and said that Jason could help by telling what he knew about the Balkan. 1/27 When Jason got home, he spotted Sam's pamphlet on fertility treatments. Sam tried to brush it off as unimportant, but Jason wondered if she were considering having the procedure. Sam explained that she had merely been gathering information. Jason was curious if Sam wanted to have a baby. Sam promised Jason that she hadn't "accidentally on purpose" left the pamphlet on the desk for him to find. Sam explained that she didn't even know if she were a viable candidate for the "fertility reconstruction" and that there was only a fifty percent chance that she could carry a baby full-term. Jason pointed out that the procedure would provide her with better odds than she had without it. Sam conceded that a year before, the fertility reconstruction would have been a miracle, but their lives had changed. She realized that Jason didn't want to have a baby, and she wasn't sure that she was even "mom material." Jason assured Sam that it was her decision to make; he didn't want her to deny herself the opportunity to have a child because of him. Jason acknowledged that his life was not set up for kids but he realized that it wasn't fair to her. Sam wondered what Jason was talking about. She insisted that her life was just as dangerous as his. Sam didn't think that it was right for her to have children. Jason wanted to make certain that she knew that he fully supported whatever she decided. Sam explained that she needed better odds before she considered going through with the procedure because she couldn't handle losing another child. Jason blamed himself for Sam's fertility problems, but Sam argued that Manny Ruiz was responsible for the shooting that had left her infertile. Jason disagreed because she had been in his arms when Manny had fired the shot. Jason didn't want to keep Sam from having something that she wanted. Sam insisted that she was happy before she had learned of the procedure and that she liked her life as it was. Their talk was cut short when Spinelli burst through the door to announce that he feared that Michael was in trouble. Michael wasn't surprised to see Jason walk up shortly after Spinelli left. Michael explained that he had been hoping to see Abby. Jason reminded Michael that Abby wanted to be left alone, so Michael needed to respect her wishes. Michael assured Jason that he didn't want to make Abby uncomfortable, but he was desperate to see her for just a few seconds. Jason gently explained that Abby didn't want to see Michael. Michael admitted that he missed Abby. Jason suggested that Michael might find someone else to connect with, since he had been able to connect with Abby. Michael wasn't interested in finding someone else; however, he agreed to go home. Jason returned home to find that Sam was working and that Lucky had stopped by. Jason was not pleased when Spinelli admitted that he had told Lucky where the wedding would take place. Jason decided to have a talk with Lucky, so he left. A short time later, Spinelli spotted the pamphlet just as Sam entered the penthouse. Sam revealed that they had a client who would require them to do surveillance. Spinelli offered to do it, so that Sam could rest, given her delicate condition. Sam was confused until she spotted the pamphlet in Spinelli's hand. Spinelli was excited about the baby because he thought that Sam and Jason would make wonderful parents. Jason appeared on Lucky's doorstep. Jason wanted to know whom Lucky was trying to protect. Siobhan met with the Balkan at their meeting place in a church. She told him that the wedding would be at St. Timothy's. The Balkan warned her that if she were wrong then her sister would pay the price. Siobhan started to leave, but the Balkan told her that he had one more assignment for her, he wanted her to help him make certain that Brenda didn't make it down the aisle. 1/28 Brenda walked in on Spinelli and Sam in Jason's living room as Spinelli gushingly planned for Sam's pregnancy. Sam set the record straight and told them that she was unable to get pregnant and wasn't planning to have experimental surgery. Though Sam believed she and Jason would make excellent parents, their lives were not in a suitable state for them to raise children. Sam asked Spinelli to run to the office to retrieve some files. After he left, Sam apologized to Brenda for putting her in an uncomfortable position, having to listen to the discussion of losing a child. Jason went to Lucky’s to ask if Lucky's sudden interest in Brenda and Sonny's wedding location was about Brenda's safety or Siobhan's. Lucky made it clear that his intention was to ensure that Brenda, Sonny, and their friends and family all remained safe. Jason welcomed Lucky's input on the security team. At the confessional, Siobhan begged the Balkan to spare her sister's life. He told Siobhan that he was expecting her to help him prevent Brenda's wedding from happening. He then threatened to kill Lucky, should Siobhan fail in her mission. Jason showed up at Dante's with the news that Siobhan was working for the Balkan but that Lucky was too infatuated to see it. Jason worried that Lucky was inadvertently giving information to Siobhan, which she was passing along to the Balkan. Dante suggested they tell Lucky of their suspicions. 1/31 At the loft, Jason told Dante that he suspected that Siobhan was working for the Balkan. Dante wanted to act immediately, but Jason said that Dante was not being objective because he was too involved. Jason said that they needed a plan that did not make Lucky and Siobhan collateral damage. Brandon dragged Abby into an alley and started beating her before attempting to rape her. Abby fought him and screamed for help. Michael heard her and paused momentarily as he remembered being held down and beaten in prison by Carter. He reacted quickly and dragged Brandon away from Abby. Michael was furious. He started pummeling Brandon. He was choking him into lifelessness when Jason intervened. Jason immediately called Dante, who arrived promptly. Abby was traumatized. Jason wanted Dante to take Michael home while he did the same for Abby. Dante insisted that he call it in. He said that Michael had acted in defense of Abby, and Brandon was clearly the wrongdoer. Dante said that Michael deserved a win, and Jason agreed. Dante cuffed Brandon and escorted him to jail while Michael and Jason took Abby to General Hospital. At the penthouse, Jason told Michael that Dante had been right not to cover up what had happened. He told Michael that Abby would be all right because of Michael's actions. Michael wondered if Abby had told the truth about not being raped. He said that if you do not acknowledge something, you could convince yourself it did not happen. Michael flashed back to Carter. He told Jason that Carter had cornered him in his cell. Michael said that he called for help but no one appeared. He said that he fought Carter, but Carter was too strong. Michael said that Carter forced him over a table and raped him. 2/1 At Jason's penthouse, Jason assured Michael that it wasn't Michael's fault that Carter had raped Michael in Pentonville. Michael was distraught because he had failed to stop Carter. According to Michael, Carter would have continued to rape Michael if Jason hadn't arrived in Pentonville. Michael suspected that it would never have happened to Jason, but Jason disagreed. Jason confessed that he had been just as vulnerable at the same age. However, Jason wouldn't have handled it as well as Michael had. Michael expressed frustration over freezing in the ally when Abby had been attacked. Jason insisted that Michael had saved Abby when she had needed him. Jason felt responsible for putting Michael in a situation where Carter had been able to rape Michael. Michael argued that only Carter was to blame for the rape. Michael's only regret was that he hadn't been the one to kill Carter. Michael felt that he needed to prove to himself that he wasn't a victim. Jason recalled having had so many expectations for Michael when Michael had been a young child. Michael assured Jason that no one was guaranteed a perfect life. Jason admitted that it was hard for him to accept that; he insisted that he would have gladly taken Michael's place in Pentonville if he could have. Michael explained that no matter how much Jason loved him, it was up to Michael to live his life. Michael was determined to survive, but he was also concerned that Abby might have been raped. Jason explained that Abby had assured them that she hadn't been sexually violated. Michael recalled how he had been in a fog when Jason had arrived in Pentonville after the rape. Michael remembered that Jason had made certain that Michael had been sent to the infirmary to receive treatment for possible exposure to HIV. Michael wondered if Abby should receive the same medical treatment. Jason gently reminded Michael that it was up to Abby. The talk was cut short when Carly began to pound on the front door and then demanded to talk to Jason. Michael begged Jason not to tell Carly about Carter before he ducked out of sight. Jason opened the door and then informed Carly that she had to leave because he had other matters to deal with at the moment. Carly was stunned by Jason's rejection. Eventually, Michael stepped forward to explain to his mother that Jason had been honoring Michael's request. Carly was curious why Michael had been hiding from her. Jason quickly filled Carly in about Abby's attack. Carly was immediately concerned about Michael's reaction. Michael decided to let his mother know about his own rape in Pentonville. Carly was shocked, but promised Michael that everything would be okay. She tried to persuade Michael to see a therapist, but he was resistant to the idea of talking to someone about the rape because he felt it didn't matter, since Carter was dead. Jason supported Carly's suggestion. Carly assured Michael that he was strong enough to handle anything, including therapy. She vowed that they would be by Michael's side every step of the way, so Michael agreed to go. 2/2 In the office at Pozzulo's, Dante let Jason know that Abby's ex-boyfriend, Brandon, had a criminal record, which meant that Brandon would be sent to jail. Jason admitted that Dante had been right to report the attack. Moments later, Lucky entered the office. Lucky told Jason and Dante that the Balkan intended to kidnap Brenda on her wedding day. Jason and Dante were curious how Lucky had learned about the abduction plans. Lucky revealed that he'd had some questions about Siobhan's activities, so Lucky had decided to set a trap for her to see what would happen. Lucky admitted that Siobhan had walked right into it, but he quickly assured Jason and Dante that Siobhan had not been a willing conspirator. Lucky explained that the Balkan had kidnapped Siobhan's sister, Megan, to force Siobhan to cooperate. Dante suggested that Siobhan could have made the whole thing up. Lucky suggested that Jason have Spinelli verify Megan's disappearance; however, Lucky he had already confirmed it. Dante feared that Lucky might be too close to the situation to be objective. Lucky denied it; he had been the one to set the trap for Siobhan when she had behaved suspiciously. Dante was called away, so Jason promised to take care of everything with Lucky. After Dante left, Lucky questioned Jason about the comment. Jason wondered how well Lucky knew Siobhan. Lucky insisted that he could read Siobhan and that she hadn't faked her fear over what the Balkan would do to Megan if Siobhan didn't follow orders. Jason argued that they couldn't simply accept Siobhan's word, so Jason wanted to know more. Lucky became defensive. According to Lucky, Jason and Dante would owe Lucky and Siobhan an apology after Lucky and Siobhan had captured the Balkan. Seconds later, Lucky stormed out of the office. Later, Jason arrived home. Brenda implored Jason to find Carly because she feared that Carly intended to sabotage the wedding. Jason explained that they had bigger problems. Brenda was stunned when Jason revealed that Siobhan had been working for the Balkan and that the Balkan intended to kidnap Brenda on her wedding day. Brenda suggested that Jason stop the Balkan, but Jason informed her that they didn't know who the Balkan was. Brenda made it clear that she wouldn't let anything stand in her way of marrying Sonny, so she refused to delay the wedding. Jason warned Brenda that she might walk into a trap. Brenda was more concerned about what Carly might have up her sleeve, so she insisted that Jason talk to Carly. Jason didn't see the point, since he doubted that Carly could do anything to stop the wedding. Brenda admitted that she was afraid that Carly would say something to Sonny that might change his mind about marrying Brenda. Shawn was hiding behind a building as Siobhan was on the phone with the Balkan. The Balkan wondered if Siobhan had told Lucky about Megan. Siobhan assured the Balkan that she wouldn't risk her sister's life like that. After the Balkan disconnected the call with Siobhan, he instructed Shawn to intercept her. Seconds later, Shawn pretended to bump into Siobhan and then revealed that a mutual friend had thought that they should talk. Siobhan immediately became nervous until Shawn introduced himself as Theo's security consultant. According to Shawn, he had a few questions about the time that Siobhan had been held prisoner by the Balkan. Siobhan explained that she had given the police a statement, so she had nothing to add to it. Siobhan and Lucky put their plan into motion a short time later. As instructed, Siobhan informed the Balkan that the location of the wedding had been changed. According to Siobhan, she had no idea where the wedding would take place, but she promised to find out. The Balkan couldn't decide if Siobhan was a fool or a traitor because he knew that she had been followed. Meanwhile, Shawn crept up behind Lucky's pew and then knocked Lucky out by bashing him over the head. 2/3 Sam and Abby talked about Brandon. Abby regretted that she hadn't pressed charges against her abusive ex-boyfriend prior to the assault in the alleyway. Abby admitted that there had been a time when she had believed that Brandon had loved her. Sam knew what it was like to be in an abusive relationship, so she offered Abby words of encouragement and then urged Abby to press charges against Brandon. Abby assured Sam that she would. Abby then expressed her gratitude to Sam for introducing her to Michael. Sam thought that Abby and Michael were good people, so Sam was glad that they had found each other. At the penthouse, Jason explained to Brenda that Carly had a lot going on, so he doubted that she was interested in stopping Brenda and Sonny's wedding. Brenda disagreed because Carly had been constantly threatening to stop the wedding. Sonny entered the penthouse moments later. Brenda immediately told Sonny about Carly's vow to sabotage their special day. Sonny promised to take care of Carly. Brenda perked up when Sonny offered to take Brenda to the house in the woods for some time alone with him. After Brenda went to pack a few things, Sonny asked Jason what Carly was planning to do. Jason assured Sonny that Carly wasn't the problem. He quickly filled Sonny in on Siobhan's association to the Balkan and then revealed that the Balkan intended to kidnap Brenda on her wedding day. Sonny trusted Lucky's instincts, but he didn't think that the Balkan would be foolish enough to make a move during such a high-profile event. Sonny's main concern was Carly. Sonny made it clear that he would not let anything mar his wedding to Brenda. Jason arrived and Lucky quickly filled him in on what had happened. Jason admitted that it sounded as if the Balkan had been tipped off. Jason wondered what he could do to help Lucky. Lucky thought that it might be best if they continued on with their lives as if nothing had happened, so that Lucky could formulate a new plan. After Siobhan left, Jason warned Lucky that the Balkan and Siobhan might have set up Lucky. Lucky vehemently denied the possibility. Jason thought that Lucky's feelings for Siobhan prevented Lucky from being objective. Lucky disagreed, but he suggested that Jason not share any details about Brenda's wedding to make certain that nothing was inadvertently leaked to the Balkan. Jason returned to the penthouse to find Sam was waiting for him. Sam sang Abby's praises and then credited her friend for making the haunted look in Michael's face disappear. Jason admitted that Dante had been right not to let Jason cover up the attack in the alley. According to Jason, saving Abby had helped Michael to gain some clarity on things. Sam agreed. Sam confided that Abby was happy to have found a good man. Sam knew what that was like because Sam was finally where she wanted to be. She emphasized her point by kissing Jason. 2/4 As Maxie and Sam shared a table at Jake's, Maxie said that she thought Sam was content being childless. Sam said she was happy with her life but wondered "what if" sometimes. Lulu arrived and stated that she and Dante had left their relationship status up in the air, because Dante was having a bad day. "Yes, well, getting dumped will do that to you," exclaimed Maxie. Sam got dizzy when she tried to stand up to get another round. "Maybe you're pregnant," Maxie teased. At Jason's penthouse, Sam asked Jason if Spinelli had been acting strangely. She wondered, because Spinelli had found her pamphlet on fertility reconstruction and wanted to believe Sam and Jason were trying to have a baby. Michael arrived to talk to Jason. Sam made her exit, and Michael asked Jason if Sam knew about the rape. Michael told Jason that he would attend counseling but made Jason promise not to tell Sonny the truth. Jason encouraged Michael to be honest with his father, but Michael refused. Lucky made plane reservations for them to travel back to Ireland. Siobhan apologized for having kept the truth from him. Lucky replied that her troubles were his fault but that he'd do everything in his power to make sure she and Megan were safe. As they were about to exit, Jason appeared and told them they couldn't leave. 2/7 When Jason confronted Lucky and Siobhan at Lucky's apartment he was not happy to find out that they were on their way to Ireland to rescue Siobhan's sister. Jason feared that Siobhan was acting as a decoy for the Balkan. He asked her to provide proof that her sister was actually in danger and that she was telling the truth. Lucky defended Siobhan and Jason accepted that he could not stop Lucky from going to Ireland. Jason cautioned Siobhan that if anything happened to Lucky there would be no place that she could hide from him.
Sam, Maxie and Lulu conversed at Jake's. When Sam felt dizzy and nauseous. Maxie suggested that she might be pregnant and would not let her order a drink until she got a pregnancy test. Sam dismissed the idea that she might be pregnant because the odds against it were so great, but Maxie said someone had to be that one in 10,000 and it might as well be Sam. Sam took Maxie's advice to heart and left to purchase a pregnancy test. Robin caught up with Jason at the penthouse. She told him to rein Carly in. She said that Carly would do anything to sabotage Brenda's wedding. Jason said that Carly had other worries besides the wedding. Robin showed Jason a piece of the wedding dress and said that Carly had done it. When Jason again defended Carly, Robin said that he never saw the truth about Carly. Jason said that the Balkan was the real threat and he would feel better if they caught the Balkan before the ceremony. No one was home when Sam got to Jason's place, but just as she started looking at the directions for the pregnancy test, Jason walked in. Sam quickly hid the box, but Jason saw her. When he wanted to know what she had hidden behind the sofa pillow, she told him that Maxie and Lulu thought she was showing signs of pregnancy. 2/8 At Jason's penthouse, Sam made it clear that she doubted that she was pregnant. She explained that she had bought the pregnancy test to shut up Maxie. Jason looked skeptical, but Sam insisted that she wasn't ready to be a mother. Jason worried that she felt that way because of him, but Sam assured him that his feelings on the matter hadn't influenced her. Sam decided not to feed Maxie's "wild imagination" by taking the pregnancy test. Jason let the matter drop and then revealed that he needed Sam's help with something. Later, Jason and Sam returned to the penthouse after reviewing the building's security tapes. Sam reminded Jason that Brenda's wedding dress had been dropped off intact, but that Carly had spent some time alone in the penthouse. Sam hated to say it, but she suspected that Carly had ruined the wedding dress. Jason continued to have his doubts because he believed that Carly had more important matters on her mind at that moment. However, Jason planned to talk to Carly about it. Jason found Carly at the bar in Metro Court Restaurant. He questioned her about Brenda's wedding dress, but Carly became defensive. Jason started to have doubts about Carly's innocence because she refused to answer his question. Carly clarified that she would have destroyed the wedding dress if she'd had an opportunity, but she hadn't done it. Seconds later, Ronnie approached them. Carly assumed that Ronnie was there to question Jason, but Ronnie revealed that he was there to talk to Carly. Carly couldn't imagine what Ronnie had to talk to her about. "Malicious mischief," Ronnie informed her. Ronnie wanted to know what Carly knew about the Archer Pavilion being flooded. Jason looked at Carly with concern. 2/9 At Metro Court Restaurant, Ronnie questioned Carly about the flood at the Archer Pavilion. Carly denied that she had anything to do with it, but Ronnie informed her that her business card had been found at the scene of the crime. Carly insisted that Brenda had framed her; Carly wouldn't have been foolish enough to leave a business card behind if Carly had tampered with the sprinkler system. Ronnie didn't believe Carly, so he insisted that she accompany him to the police station. Carly denied that she'd had anything to do with Brenda's ruined wedding dress or the flooded pavilion. Ronnie was curious about the wedding dress, so Jason warned Carly to stop talking until she had legal representation. Jason then wondered when the pavilion had been flooded. "An hour ago," Ronnie responded. Later, Jason called Sonny to find out where Brenda had been during the time that the Archer Pavilion had been flooded. Sonny assured Jason that Brenda had been at the house in the woods. Jason explained that Carly had been taken to the police station for questioning. Sonny insisted that Jason not step in to help Carly because Sonny was tired of Carly's antics. Sonny was certain that Carly had been responsible for the flood, so it was time to stop Carly from causing more trouble. At the police station, Carly continued to blame Brenda for framing her. Ronnie conceded that he didn't have enough evidence to arrest Carly, so she was free to go. Jason pulled Carly aside to let Carly know that Brenda had an alibi, so Brenda had not been responsible for the damage to the pavilion. Jason was curious where Carly had been during the time that the pavilion had been flooded. Carly explained that she had taken Michael to the hospital for a therapy session and then gone to Metro Court. Jason arrived home to find Sam waiting for him. Jason quickly filled Sam in on what had happened and then admitted that Carly didn't have a solid alibi. Jason explained that the pavilion was on the way from the hospital to the Metro Court Restaurant. However, Jason didn't believe that Carly had been responsible for the flooding. Sam wondered whom Jason suspected had set off the sprinklers. Jason didn't know the identity of the saboteur, but he suspected that it was someone who knew everyone well enough to frame Carly. Later, Sam called Spinelli to request that he check all the emails and phone records of Brenda's guard detail. After Sam ended the call, Suzanne stopped by, looking for Brenda. Sam explained that Brenda was out with Sonny, but that Brenda was expected to return soon. Suzanne decided to wait, so Sam told Suzanne about Brenda's ruined wedding dress and the flooded pavilion. Suzanne was upset because she had been assured that Jason could keep Brenda safe. Suzanne demanded to know where the guards had been just as Brenda entered the penthouse. Sam gathered her things as she assured Brenda that they would find the person responsible for the acts of sabotage. Brenda was surprised that they were going to pretend that Carly had nothing to do with the acts of vandalism. Sam promised Brenda that Jason would do everything to make certain that the wedding went smoothly. At Pozzulo's, Jason arrived for a meeting with Sonny. Sonny warned Jason to get Carly in line. Jason admitted that he didn't think that Carly had destroyed Brenda's wedding dress or flooded the pavilion. Sonny argued that Carly was determined to stop the wedding; he begged Jason to intervene before Carly caused more trouble. Jason managed to convince Sonny that someone else might be responsible, so Sonny ordered Jason to find the person. 2/10 Sam arrived at Jason's penthouse while he was packing a black overnight bag. Sam was curious if he had a lead on the Balkan, but Jason was reluctant to discuss what he was doing. Sam assumed that it had to do with work, so she decided to drop of the paperwork for Spinelli and then leave. "Wait," Jason called out to her. Jason surprised her by asking her to meet him later for dinner. Sam smiled just as Molly knocked on the door. Molly asked to have a private word with Jason, which Sam quickly surmised had to do with Valentine's Day. Molly admitted that she had a new list of romantic ideas for Jason. Jason assured Molly that he had everything covered. Molly perked up when she noticed the bag in Jason's hand. Molly was eager to see what Jason had inside the bag, but Jason insisted that it was a secret. Sam appreciated Molly's support, but Sam was confident that whatever Jason had planned would be wonderful. Sam invited Molly to visit with her for a while, but Molly explained that she had another couple that needed her help, so she had to leave. Sam arrived at the hospital for an appointment with Dr. Lee. Elizabeth checked the computer to confirm the appointment while Sam admired the Valentine's Day cards that Cam and Jake had made for their mother. Sam couldn't believe that Jake was old enough to write. Elizabeth smiled with pride, but then became confused when she noticed that Sam had been scheduled for a pregnancy test. Elizabeth started to make a correction to the computer notes, but Sam confirmed that it was correct. Elizabeth told Sam which room to go to and then admitted that she hoped that the test turned out the way that Sam wanted it to. Later, Sam asked Elizabeth to call her with the results of the pregnancy test as soon as they were back. Elizabeth let Sam know that the lab wasn't busy, so it shouldn't take long. At Pozzulo's, Jason was setting up one of the tables for a romantic dinner for two when Maxie walked in. Maxie was horrified by the tacky decorations that Jason planned to use, so she promptly went to work setting an elegant table. Maxie thought that it was perfect timing for Jason to make romantic gestures because Maxie suspected that Sam might be pregnant. Jason ignored the comment as he went to work preparing a meal for Sam. Later, Maxie admitted that she was impressed with Jason's skill in the kitchen. Jason confessed that Sonny had taught him how to cook. Jason looked at the table that Maxie had set and then thanked her for her help. After Maxie left, Jason received a call from Elizabeth. Elizabeth explained that Sam had asked Elizabeth to call with the results of the pregnancy test. Jason sighed. A short time later, Sam arrived at Pozzulo's for dinner with Jason. She smiled when she noticed the effort that Jason had put into the meal. Jason admitted that Maxie had lent a hand with the decorations. Sam didn't care; it was the thought that mattered to her. Jason reminded Sam how much he loved her. Sam smiled and then admitted that she was starving. She also wanted some wine. Jason suggested that she call the hospital before she had some wine because the results of her pregnancy test were back. 2/14 Theo met with Shawn and discussed a plan to kidnap Brenda on her wedding day. He also told Shawn that Jason was becoming a problem, and it was time to send him a message. Sam and Jason shared a romantic dinner at Sonny's restaurant that Jason had prepared personally. Jason and Sam laughed and danced. Jason said that he knew what his life was like without Sam in it, and he wanted her to know how much she meant to him. Sam did not want to spoil the romantic atmosphere by getting the results of her pregnancy test, but Jason insisted that she call and find out. Sam cried when she found out that she was not pregnant. Sam insisted that she was okay. She said that she knew that their life was not set up for children, but she said that a part of her was disappointed with the outcome of the test. She said that she did not want the bother of the fertility procedure when there were no guarantees that she could get pregnant after the procedure was completed. Sam said that all she wanted to do was enjoy the meal that Jason had made especially for her. After dinner, Jason pulled out a jewelry box and told Sam that he knew that they had not had much time together since Brenda had arrived on the scene. He told Sam that he wanted her to know that he loved her and that she was always first with him. When Sam opened the box, she found that it contained a pendant with a Polynesian design that showcased her birthstone. She and Jason started kissing and moved to Sonny's office as their passion took over. Someone moved stealthily outside the office door. Later, Shawn entered the restaurant and went into Sonny's office. He was looking at papers on Sonny's desk when he heard something or saw movement. He pulled his gun and turned around to find Jason pointing a gun at him. 2/15 In Ireland, Lucky was on the phone with the Balkan. The Balkan was impressed that Lucky had evaded the trap that the Balkan had set for him. Lucky warned the Balkan that the henchmen had provided Lucky with valuable information about the Balkan, but the Balkan merely chuckled. The Balkan wondered if Siobhan considered the pleasure of Lucky's company worth Megan's life. Lucky suggested that the Balkan's game was unraveling, but the Balkan clarified that he didn't play games. The Balkan reminded Lucky that Siobhan had been given fair warning, so Siobhan's sister would pay the price for Siobhan's betrayal. Siobhan snatched the phone out Lucky's hand and then threatened to kill the Balkan herself if anything happened to Megan. The Balkan didn't seem concerned as he ended the call. Siobhan broke down in tears as Lucky reached out to comfort her. Lucky assured Siobhan that they had time to find Megan before the Balkan carried out the threat. Lucky was confident that they would be able to save Megan if they started to think like a criminal. Later, the henchmen returned to the warehouse to make contact with the Balkan by phone. One of the henchmen revealed where Megan had been moved to and then promised to kill her in the morning. The Balkan's men were unaware that Lucky and Siobhan hid out of sight to eavesdrop on the conversation. At Pozzulo's, Sam and Jason confronted Shawn in the office. Shawn looked at the guns aimed at him and then slowly explained that he had slipped into the office because "turnabout was fair play." According to Shawn, Theo wanted Jason to stop digging into Theo's background. Jason wondered if Theo had something to hide. "No," Shawn answered. According to Shawn, Theo wanted Jason to focus on the wrongful death lawsuit, not Theo's past. Shawn reminded Jason that they were all on the same side, but Jason warned Shawn that Shawn had used his free pass. Jason made it clear that the next time, Jason would treat Shawn like any other intruder if he caught Shawn snooping around. After Shawn left, Jason and Sam agreed that Shawn wasn't an amateur, so they decided to investigate Shawn further. A short time later, Theo stormed into the office, demanding to know why he had been summoned in the middle of the night. Jason immediately fired Theo for the stunt that Theo had pulled earlier that evening. Theo pretended to be pleased with the decision; however, he warned Jason that Brenda would need an attorney who could handle Brenda's fragile state of mind. Theo explained that Brenda had quickly confessed to killing another man when Theo had questioned her about Anton's death. Jason couldn't worry about that, so Theo wondered how Jason felt about Michael. Jason tensed as Theo suggested that Judge Carroll might have a change of heart about Michael's parole when it was revealed that Dante had covered up the death of a man. Theo was certain that the judge would send Michael back to Pentonville. Sam ordered Theo to get "the hell out" and then reminded Theo that he had been fired. Sam was stunned when Jason decided that Theo could continue to represent Brenda and Dante as long as Theo focused on the case. Theo smiled with satisfaction and then left. Sam warned Jason that he had given Theo a master class on how to manipulate Jason. Sam feared that Theo would do it again because Theo was bad news. Jason agreed, but he confided that he intended to keep Theo very close until they determined just how bad Theo was. Jason admitted that he wanted Theo to believe that Theo had the upper hand. According to Jason, Theo's reaction to being fired had shown Jason who Theo really was. Jason confided that he suspected that Theo was somehow linked to the Balkan; he just didn't know how. Theo entered his office in a good mood. He announced that it had been a productive evening and then gloated that he had Jason by the throat. "What about you?" Theo asked the person sitting in his chair. Suzanne turned to face Theo. She confessed that she and Sonny had reached a truce for Brenda's sake and that it had been quite an emotional moment. "How delicious," Theo replied. Theo conceded that Suzanne was a formidable woman, so he had been wise to marry her. Theo and Suzanne shared a brief kiss and then confessed that they had missed each other. Suzanne realized that it had been necessary to remain apart because they had to lay the groundwork to make Brenda pay for killing their son, Aleksander. 2/16 In Ireland, Lucky and Siobhan hid in some bushes outside of the cabin where Megan was being held prisoner. They spotted Megan shackled and blindfolded inside. Siobhan wanted to spring into action, but Lucky cautioned her to wait. Lucky quickly picked the lock on the door and then drew his gun before slowly entering the cabin. The moment that Lucky determined that it was safe, Siobhan rushed into the cabin to free her sister. Megan was shocked to see Siobhan. As Lucky began to pick the locks on the shackles that chained Megan to the wall, Megan told her sister about the kidnapping and the Balkan's threats. Lucky couldn't unlock the leg shackles, so Megan urged Siobhan and Lucky to leave before her captors returned. Siobhan refused to leave her sister's side. Lucky revealed that Siobhan had saved his life, so he was determined to return the favor by saving Megan. Moments later, Lucky managed to free Megan. Megan's legs were numb, so Siobhan and Lucky had to assist Megan. They started to leave, but were forced to retreat back inside the cabin when gunfire suddenly erupted all around them. In the law office, Suzanne thought that everyone would be stunned to learn that she was married to Theo. Theo agreed and then began to talk about Aleksander. Suzanne assured Theo that she had never mentioned their son to Brenda, but that Brenda had claimed that Aleksander had been abusive. Suzanne also revealed that Brenda had never shown any remorse for killing their son. She confessed that it had taken quite a bit of effort to hide her true feelings from Brenda. Theo and Suzanne then began to discuss their plans for Brenda. Theo intended to go to the hospital to pump Robin for information about the wedding. At the penthouse, Jason let Sam know that Spinelli's background check on Theo had been clean. Sam suggested that perhaps that meant that Theo was exactly whom he appeared to be. Jason continued to have doubts, but Sam thought that Theo might simply be someone who just wanted the publicity of exonerating Brenda in a wrongful death lawsuit. Sam worried that Jason might be too focused on trying to prove that Theo was linked to the Balkan that he might miss some important clues. Jason was certain that the Balkan would try to grab Brenda before the wedding, so he was determined to unmask the international crime lord before it was too late. Jason reminded Sam that the timing of the wrongful death lawsuit was suspicious because it had been filed weeks after Anton's death. Sam agreed that it all seemed very convenient for Theo. Their conversation was cut short when Kristina arrived to help Brenda prepare for the wedding. Moments later, Brenda burst through the door and then happily announced that Theo had managed to delay the hearing for the lawsuit. Jason and Sam entered the office moments later. Jason wondered what Carly was doing there, so Spinelli quickly covered for Carly by claiming that he had called her to make certain that she was okay. Jason warned Carly not to pull any stunts to stop the wedding. Carly was annoyed, so she left. Spinelli was curious why Jason and Sam had stopped by. Jason explained that he needed Spinelli to keep searching for the Balkan. Spinelli didn't see the point, since his previous searches hadn't yielded any information. Jason revealed that they had a new lead. Jason explained that they needed to find Aleksander's DNA to compare it to the DNA of their suspects. Jason realized that it was a long shot, but he hoped that the Balkan had made a mistake along the way. Shawn met Theo at the law office to go over their plans for the following day. Theo assured Shawn that someone would arrange for Shawn to gain access to Brenda. Shawn was expected to kidnap Brenda before the wedding and then take her to the meeting place, so that Brenda could finally answer for the death of Aleksander. Theo assured Shawn that Shawn's duty would end there. 2/17 At the private investigation office, Spinelli was in the midst of a gumshoe fantasy, in which he had saved Jason from the Balkan, when Jason suddenly asked, "What the hell are you doing?" Spinelli held a banana in his hand like a gun, so he explained to Jason that he had been attempting to achieve a more balanced diet. Spinelli then offered a banana to Jason. Frustrated, Jason explained that they were out of time, so Spinelli needed to focus on finding a DNA match to Aleksander. Jason decided to head to the Archer Pavilion while Spinelli worked. At the law office, Theo informed Shawn that he had arranged for Diane to add Shawn to the security team at the Archer Pavilion. Theo assured Shawn that someone on the inside would provide Shawn with access to Brenda's changing room. Shawn was curious if the person could be trusted. "Implicitly," Theo promised. Moments later, Alexis walked in. Suzanne went to see Theo at his office before she headed to the pavilion. She was concerned that he might be getting sick because he seemed flushed. Suzanne squirted hand sanitizer on her husband's hands as he complained that Port Charles was nothing but a great big "petri dish." He was grateful that they would only be spending a few more hours in the "horrid town." Suzanne cautioned Theo not to get ahead of himself. Theo was confident that everything would work out according to their plan. He offered to pour some champagne to toast to their success, but Suzanne declined because she had to get to the Archer Pavilion. Theo promised to put the champagne on ice, so that they could indulge after they had their revenge. At the Archer Pavilion, Jason and Dante discussed the various security measures that had been taken to keep the Balkan from kidnapping Brenda. Dante was impressed with the tight security, but he continued to have a bad feeling. Sam arrived shortly after Dante left, so she could do her own walk-through. Jason thanked Sam for being supportive and understanding during the ordeal with Brenda. Jason insisted that Sam was everything that he needed. Sam commented that Sonny and Brenda hadn't been able to make it work the first time, so she was curious what made them think that they could find happiness a second time around. Jason reminded Sam that he and Sam had managed to get past everything that had happened to tear them apart the first time. Sam confessed that her life didn't work without Jason. Jason assured Sam that he loved her and then kissed her. Molly knocked on the door to Theo's office before she entered. Seconds later, she ducked under the desk when she heard Theo approach the office. Theo was on the phone with Shawn, asking for an update. Theo anticipated Brenda discovering that Theo was the Balkan at the moment that Theo took his revenge on her for murdering Aleksander. At the penthouse, Sam and Jason had changed into dress clothes and were prepared to leave for the wedding. Sam was thrilled that Brenda would soon be Sonny's problem. Sam couldn't wait to celebrate. As she started to kiss Jason, Spinelli burst through the door to announce, "A victory at last. The Jackal has unearthed the true identity of the Balkan." 2/18 Spinelli burst into Jason's penthouse with the disturbing revelation that Theo was actually the Balkan. He explained that Theo's DNA matched that of Alexander. Jason said it was time to turn the tables. Shawn, outside of Brenda's room, called Theo at the law office to report that Brenda would be abducted as soon as she was alone. Hiding in Theo's office, a terrified Molly digested what she'd just heard. Theo called Suzanne for an update as Molly attempted to sneak out. Theo told Suzanne that he wanted her with him, but Suzanne replied that it would be suspicious if she were not at the wedding. However, Theo was insistent. After Theo ended the call, he thought he'd heard a noise and went to investigate. Just as he was about to find Molly, Alexis knocked and asked to look for her glasses. Alexis noted that Theo seemed to be in a great mood. He agreed and offered to walk Alexis out. Before she had a chance to escape, Molly heard the door open. It was Jason, Sam, and Spinelli. A relieved Molly told them that Theo was the Balkan. She elaborated on what she'd overheard. Jason asked if Theo had mentioned where he was going. Molly let them know Theo had said he was going to his room at the Metro Court. Suzanne showed up at Theo's room. She expressed her concern that people would notice she wasn't at the wedding. Theo suspiciously wondered if Suzanne's desire for revenge was wavering. Suzanne denied that she felt any sympathy for Brenda. They shared a toast to vengeance. 2/21 As guests gathered at the Archer Pavilion to celebrate Brenda's wedding, Jason and Sam entered Theo's room at the Metro Court. The room was empty, but the note they found confirmed that Theo was the Balkan and that he was expecting them. Sam and Jason raced to the wedding when they realized that Shawn, Theo's security consultant, was one of the Balkan's men and not on their side. In Galway, Lucky, Siobhan, and Megan pulled off a clever ruse and fooled the Balkan's men. Lucky hid in the straw and Siobhan pretended to be dead. When the Balkan's two men rushed in and observed the scene, they demanded that Megan tell them Lucky's whereabouts. Lucky leaped from the straw and knocked out one of the men with a stick of wood, and Siobhan got the drop on the other. At the Archer Pavilion, Robin comforted Brenda and told her not to let Carly ruin the wedding. Molly said that everything would be okay. Jason and Sam arrived, to the relief of the bride and bridesmaids. Jason asked Brenda if she was sure she wanted to proceed. When she said yes, Sam went inside. The guests were relieved when the wedding music began. Molly walked down the aisle, followed by Kristina, who hugged Sonny. Sam noticed Shawn lurking behind a curtain. The guests stood as Jason and Brenda entered the chapel. Brenda was smiling as they walked down the aisle and met Sonny at the altar. As part of the very touching ceremony, Morgan gave a heartfelt speech welcoming Brenda to the family. She had tears in her eyes as she thanked him. Shawn called the Balkan, but got no answer. He said that he had been unsuccessful in getting Brenda alone and needed further instructions. Sam got the drop on him, but he quickly disarmed her and said that she was a complication that he did not need. Jason caught up with them and had a gun trained on Shawn, who held a gun to Sam's head. Jason told Shawn to let Sam go and threatened to shoot him. Shawn asked Jason if he really wanted to take that chance. Theo, the Balkan, walked through a cave tunnel to a secret door. When he entered, his minion, Squirt, was waiting. After taking the Balkan's coat, Squirt asked him what he had been doing. 2/22 At the law office, Jason kept a gun trained on Shawn as Shawn held Sam hostage. Jason vowed to make Shawn pay if Shawn harmed Sam in any way. Jason informed Shawn that the Balkan's identity had been revealed, so Theo could no longer hide. Jason warned Shawn that many men had died to satisfy the Balkan's need for revenge; he was curious if Shawn were willing to be one of them. Shawn argued that Theo would kill him if Jason didn't. Jason insisted that Shawn had a choice. Shawn considered Jason's words for a moment and then released Sam. Jason immediately demanded to know where Theo was. Shawn explained that Theo hadn't confided that deeply in Shawn, so Shawn had no idea where Theo's safe house was. Jason was curious what Shawn's assignment had been. Shawn revealed that he had been hired to kidnap Brenda, but the attempt had failed because Carly had stopped by to talk to Brenda. Jason wondered why Shawn hadn't killed Carly. Shawn made it clear that he had been recruited to kidnap a bride, not kill witnesses. Shawn admitted that Carly was "good people," so Shawn hadn't been interested in harming Carly. Jason questioned what Shawn would have done if the Balkan had ordered Shawn to snatch Molly. Shawn insisted that he would never have harmed a child. Moments later, Diane entered the office. Diane immediately looked away when she realized that Jason and Sam were armed with guns. Diane demanded to know why Jason was detaining Mr. Butler in her office. Jason revealed that Theo was the Balkan. Diane was livid; she couldn't believe that the New York office had allowed an international criminal to infiltrate her law firm. Jason asked Diane to check her records to see if Theo had left any revealing clues behind. Diane agreed, but she insisted that Jason and Sam take their captive elsewhere, so that Diane could have plausible deniability. Later, Jason and Shawn returned to Jason's penthouse. Shawn wondered where things went from there. In the cave, Suzanne and Theo speculated about what was going on at the Archer Pavilion. Suzanne was worried because Theo's true identity had been exposed. She feared that it would work against them if his plan failed. Theo wasn't concerned about the world knowing his identity, as long as he had his revenge. Suzanne was concerned that her absence from the wedding would be noticed. Theo wondered if his "leopard is changing her spots." Suzanne resented Theo questioning her determination to see the plan through. She reminded him that Aleksander had been her son too. Theo suggested that Suzanne had spent a lot of time with Brenda and that he was aware of the "strange" tendency for women to bond. Suzanne claimed that she was concerned about Theo. Suzanne feared that Theo might have lost his advantage as an international criminal by not remaining anonymous. Theo argued that everything, except for Suzanne, had become second after they had lost Aleksander. Theo wanted Sonny and Brenda to feel the pain that Theo and Suzanne had felt when Aleksander had been killed. Sonny and Brenda exchanged vows and then wedding rings before being pronounced "husband and wife." Everyone, except for Carly and Lulu, erupted in applause as the happy couple kissed. In the Balkan's cave, Theo received an update on Brenda's wedding. After Theo ended the call, he turned to Suzanne to let her know that Brenda had made it down the aisle. However, Theo revealed that there had been a brief scene prior to the wedding ceremony. Suzanne suspected that Carly had pulled a stunt. Suzanne's smile slipped when Theo explained that it had been revealed that Brenda had been pregnant in 2007 with their grandchild. Theo was curious if Suzanne had known about the pregnancy, since she had spent so much time with Brenda. Suzanne carefully lied as she told Theo that Brenda had fallen ill for a week during their trip to Africa. According to Suzanne, Brenda had been delirious with a fever, during which time Brenda had mentioned a child. Suzanne claimed that she had asked Brenda about the baby during Brenda's recovery and that Brenda had confided about miscarrying a baby boy weeks earlier. Theo was furious that Suzanne hadn't told him about the baby. Suzanne explained that Theo had been too distraught over their son's disappearance that she hadn't had the heart to add to his grief. Theo wondered if Aleksander had known about the baby and if it were the reason that Aleksander had been so driven to find Brenda. Theo was horrified that Brenda had been carrying Aleksander's son when she had killed Aleksander. Theo felt as if Brenda had taken everything from him. Suzanne reminded Theo that no one knew that she was the Balkan's wife, so she could still seek justice for their son. Theo agreed to forgo the pleasure of Suzanne's company, in order for her to return to the pavilion to make Brenda pay for what she had done to their family. Theo was confident that Suzanne knew what to do. Shawn called as Suzanne prepared to leave. Shawn quickly explained that he had failed to carry out the mission and then arranged to meet Theo at a remote location. Theo ended the call and then informed Suzanne that Shawn had switched sides. "That's not good," Suzanne observed. Theo disagreed; he thought it was the perfect opportunity for an ambush. 2/23 At the penthouse, Sam, Jason, and Shawn reviewed the plans to rendezvous with the Balkan at Pine Barrens. Jason feared that it might be a setup. Shawn insisted that he had a code of honor, which was why Shawn hadn't targeted Carly or Molly, so it was to Shawn's advantage to get Theo. Sam was certain that Theo would show up with a lot of firepower, so she worried that Shawn would double-cross Jason. Jason intended to get to Theo fast, so if anything went wrong then Theo and Shawn would be the first to be killed. Later, Sam kept watch over Shawn while Jason changed clothes. Shawn assured Sam that her gun wasn't necessary, but Sam refused to be taken hostage by Shawn again. Jason entered the living room moments later. Sam started to go to the bedroom to change, but Jason told her that he needed her to keep an eye on things at the wedding. Sam argued that they needed to stick together, but Jason refused to endanger Sam. Jason relaxed when Sam agreed to abide by his wishes. However, she pointedly told Jason that she would see him soon. Jason nodded and then left. At Pine Barrens, Shawn made a last-ditch effort to persuade Jason to let him walk away, but Jason insisted that it wasn't an option. Jason threatened to kill Shawn if it were a setup. "Fair enough," Shawn responded as Jason handed Shawn a gun. Moments later, Shawn stepped out to meet Theo, but shots immediately rang out. In the Balkan's cave, Suzanne wondered how Theo knew that Shawn had switched sides. Theo believed that it was a logical conclusion to make, since his spy had reported that Jason and Shawn had left the wedding. Theo believed that Shawn had requested the meeting at Jason's urging. Suzanne assumed that she would have to skip the reception to deal with Jason, but Theo insisted that Suzanne stick to her plans. Suzanne apologized to Theo for not telling him about their grandchild. She explained that she had been concerned about Theo's health, which had been precarious after Aleksander's disappearance. Suzanne had hoped to spare Theo the shock of learning that their grandson had died. Theo assured Suzanne that he understood. Suzanne hated leaving Theo in the damp cave, but he argued that it was a good place to hide. Suzanne suggested that they plan a trip to somewhere warm and tropical after Brenda had been dealt with. Her smile slipped when Theo suggested that she "hurry along." He promised to take care of everything and everyone while she created a diversion at the wedding reception. Later, Sam climbed into the driver's side of her car and then adjusted the rearview mirror. She was startled when she saw Theo staring at her from the backseat. 2/24 In the parking garage of the penthouse, Theo chided Sam for not having the foresight to check the back seat before she had gotten in the car. Sam warned Theo that Jason would stop him before Theo had a chance to carry out the plot for revenge. Theo chuckled confidently as he informed Sam that it would be difficult for Jason to do anything because Jason was busy dealing with an ambush at the Pine Barrens. Sam demanded to know what Theo wanted. Theo explained that it was a shame that Sam bore such a strong resemblance to the new Mrs. Corinthos because Sam would pay for it with her life. At the Pine Barrens, Jason took cover while the Balkan's men fired shots. Eventually the gunfire ended, so Jason slowly made his way to the road. Jason looked around, but everyone, including Shawn, was gone. Jason jumped into his car and then raced back to the penthouse. In the parking garage, Jason called Spinelli to arrange for a meeting. A short time later, Spinelli arrived home to find Jason waiting. Jason was curious if anything had happened at the wedding reception. Spinelli confessed that he had left early because it had been difficult for Spinelli to watch Brenda and Sonny. Spinelli was curious if Jason had found any leads on Theo. Jason revealed that Shawn had double-crossed him at the Pine Barrens. Jason was certain that Shawn was with Theo, so Jason wanted Spinelli to find out where Theo could have disappeared to. Carly left the reception and was on her way home when she spotted a man lying unconscious in the road. Carly raced over to check on the man, only to discover that it was Shawn. Shawn quickly aimed a gun at Carly as he ordered her to help him to the car. Shawn threatened to kill Carly if she didn't cooperate. Carly assured Shawn that she had every intention of helping him, so he didn't need the gun. Shawn refused to put the gun down because he didn't trust Carly. Carly calmly let Shawn know that her car was nearby and then slowly helped him to his feet. A short time later, Shawn and Carly arrived at her house. Carly explained that the kids were with her ex-husband, so they were alone. Shawn seemed leery as Carly helped him to the sofa and then tried to examine the wound. She was startled when she realized that he had been shot. She offered to fetch the first aid kit, but Shawn feared that she would try to escape. Eventually, Carly managed to persuade Shawn to let her patch him up. He was unaware that she had managed to dial Jason's cell phone. Jason was frustrated when he saw the incoming call from Carly. Jason started to tell her that he was busy, but then he heard her talking to Shawn. Carly cleverly let Jason know that she was at home. Carly was in the middle of assuring Shawn that she wouldn't turn him in because she felt that she owed him for helping Molly. Shawn appeared to relax until Jason suddenly loomed in the doorway with a gun aimed directly at Shawn. Jason ordered Shawn to drop the gun, but Carly leapt up to beg Jason not to shoot Shawn. 2/25 At the chapel after the ceremony, giddy guests dispersed while Sonny and Brenda made their exit. Sonny helped Brenda into the waiting limo and, as he prepared to walk to the other side, the car exploded. Ethan ushered Kristina, Molly, and Morgan into the chapel. All were distraught over what they'd just witnessed. Outside, everyone began to react to the shocking scene. Sonny broke down in tears. He attacked the limo driver and accused him of having been in on the hit. Michael and Abby arrived, and Michael helped Luke and Dante restrain his father. Jason and Shawn aimed their guns at each other as Carly stood between them. She explained to Jason that Shawn was injured, but Jason told Carly that Shawn was working for the Balkan. Shawn countered that he had been trying to help Jason when Theo shot Shawn. Carly took the gun from Shawn without a struggle. Jason took a call from Luke, who explained that the limo had been rigged and that Brenda had been in it when it had exploded. Shawn promised that he had not been aware that Theo had been planning to kill anyone. Carly insisted that Jason go to Sonny. Jason made one last threat to Shawn and reluctantly left Carly to fend for herself. Jason arrived at the pavilion and explained to Sonny that Theo's DNA was a direct match to Alexander's and that the lawsuit was simply Theo's way of getting Brenda to confess to having killed Alexander. Jason consoled Sonny. Luke tried to coax Sonny away from the scene, but Sonny declared he would not leave without his wife. Jax and Alexis arrived at the scene, and Jax castigated Sonny for having left another innocent victim in Sonny's wake. Jason urged Jax not to spur a confrontation at that moment. Jax continued unabated, invoking Lily's similar fate. Alexis demanded that Jax stop, but he continued to taunt Sonny, telling him he should "do the noble thing" for once and shoot himself in the head. Jason told Luke that he couldn't understand why Theo would have chosen that moment to kill Brenda when he'd had so many opportunities in the past. Jason took a call. On the other end of the line was Franco. Franco told Jason that he had a grand event to attend. Jason threatened to kill Franco, who insinuated that he might have had something to do with the explosion. Everyone stood around as the fire crew took Brenda's body to the ambulance. Sonny demanded to see her face. When he pulled back the sheet, it was Sam lying on the gurney. 2/28 At the Archer Pavilion, Jason was relieved to see that Sam was alive. Paramedics loaded her into an ambulance and headed for General Hospital with Jason following. Patrick called ahead to alert the staff. As soon as Sam arrived at GH, Steve ordered tests. Robin and Patrick told Jason that they would let him know their findings as soon as they examined her. Steve examined Sam as Robin ordered a rush on the test results. Abby and Michael joined Jason. Alexis and Jax followed. Olivia comforted Jax while Alexis talked to Steve.
Alexis asked Jason what had happened. He told her the whole story of what he and Sam had done to discover that Theo was the Balkan. Robin and Patrick interrupted with answers for Alexis and Jason. Patrick said that Sam did not have a head injury or broken bones because of the bombproof limo. He said that she had been drugged before being put in the limo and that they would not know about the side effects until after she woke up. Alexis went in to see Sam. She told her daughter that Jason was outside and that Sam was going to be okay. Alexis begged Sam to open her eyes. Jason called Sonny and reported that Shawn was at Carly's. When Sonny wondered if Shawn had escaped, Jason said that Shawn was wounded and Carly had a gun, which she knew how to use. When Suzanne arrived at the ER, Jax met her and told her that Sam, not Brenda, had been in the limo. Suzanne seemed shocked. Alone, Suzanne phoned a fellow conspirator and said to be ready to move at a moment's notice. Jason got a call from Franco. Franco asked if Jason had ever posed for a photo. Franco tried to engage Jason in conversation but Jason remained mum. Finally Franco said he would be home soon. He said that he thought of Port Charles as home. He said that he had a present for Jason. Robin told Alexis and Jason that Sam was waking up. Jason rushed into the treatment bay. Patrick encouraged Jason to talk to Sam. Jason took her hand and asked if she could hear him. Sam squeezed his hand and opened her eyes. Jason continued to talk to her, but Sam could only see his lips move. She was deaf. Brenda woke up to find Theo standing over her. When she asked where she was, Theo said it was time to be reintroduced. He said that even though she knew him as her lawyer, he was also Aleksander's father and the grandfather of her child. **The End** |
