Jason
& Sam #18 August 6, 2007 - October 31, 2008: 8 hour edit
#18A
August 1st-2nd - 3rd Liz is called to testify in Jason's trial. Ric asks
Liz how long she's known Jason and what the nature of their relationship
is. She says she's known him for 10 years and they are good friends. She
says she did not overhear any part of his conversation when she was with
him the day Alcazar disappeared. She assumed it was business, coffee
business. He asks if she's ever been to the penthouse. She says yes. He
asks if she's ever spent the night there. She says yes. Elizabeth
admits that she dated Jason briefly years ago but that it didn't get
serious and that they remained just friends. Ric asks her if she ever had
sex with Jason back when she dated him. She tells him the truth, which is
no. Ric asks her if she ever visited Jason at his own residence before
alone. She admits that she did. Ric then asks her if she has ever had
sexual relations with Jason. Jason jumps up and yells at Ric to leave
Elizabeth alone. The judge orders Jason to sit down. Jason eventually
calms down enough to sit after Diane talks to him. Ric suggests that it
would be better if Jason is put in restraints for the rest of the trial to
keep him from having more outburst. Elizabeth admits that she had sex with
Jason. Diane keeps objecting to the judge who overrules her but he gets
fed up and calls for a 10 minute recess and asks for Ric and Diane to meet
with him in chambers. Lucky approaches Jason and sits behind him. He tells
Jason he is garbage because he only rescued her and his son to get closer
to her because he wants her for himself. Later, when court reconvenes, the
judge allows Ric to continue questioning Elizabeth about her relationship
with Jason. Ric asks her when she had sexual relations with Jason. She
tells him it was in late August. Ric asks her how old her baby is. She
tells him that he is about 3 months old. Ric does the math out loud and
tells her that based on the math she could have conceived her son while
she was having sex with Jason. He tells her that it is possible that Jason
could be the father of her baby. Lucky reacts as expected which is in
disbelief but with some suspicion.
August 3rd Liz tells Ric on the witness stand that Lucky is the father of
her son. She is friends with Jason and that's all. She tells the jury that
Jason is a wonderful person and he is protective and kind. She tells Ric
there's no way he can twist or change her testimony. Liz steps down and
court is adjourned.
August 6th Sam visits Jason and tells him to admit the truth about Jake
once and for all, or she will and Jason reminds her that he will turn her
in for being an accessory to Jake's kidnapping if she says anything. Sam
says that Lucky deserves to know the truth and that although Maureen was
crazy with grief she would have been a better mother than Elizabeth. Jason
tells Sam that she likes to believe that Elizabeth is a horrible person
but that is not true and that she is having a difficult time with
everything as well. Sam tells him that he deserves every bit of pain that
he has because he caused it himself.
August 7TH Liz returns home to find Sam there talking to Lucky.
Liz asks Sam to leave. Lucky defends Sam, and Sam apologizes to Lucky for
letting this go on as long as it did, then she leaves. Liz tells him that
Sam only intended to make things worse with them. When she admits to
having visited Jason, he walks out.
August 8TH Liz tells Lucky that she's being called as a witness
again today. He wants to know if he has to go, too. He asks if there's any
other secrets he needs to know about. She tells him no, and he decides to
stay home with the kids. After she leaves, he smashes their wedding
picture. Sam rings the doorbell and he answers the door. He asks if she
waited until Liz left, and she says yes. She didn't feel like explaining
why he invited her over. She asks him what he wants to know. He asks again
if Liz is the reason why she and Jason broke up. She says yes. The secret
Liz asked him to keep was too much for their relationship. Sam says it's
partly her fault for sleeping with Ric, but Lucky doesn't buy that. She
points out that Liz wouldn't have slept with Jason if he hadn't slept with
Maxie. Lucky tells her basically that two wrongs don't make a right. He
says it would be a lot different if that little boy upstairs weren't his.
She asks him if he would leave Liz if Jake wasn't his son.
August 9TH Elizabeth comes home to find Lucky playing
with Cameron while Sam is holding Jake in her arms and playing with him.
Lucky tells her he didn't expect her home so quickly. Elizabeth is very
dismayed to find Sam in her living room holding her son. Lucky explains
that Jake woke up while he was busy with Cameron and offered to stay and
help out by feeding the baby a bottle. Elizabeth acts very territorial
about Jake and takes him out of Sam's arms. Sam just watches amusingly.
Lucky asks Elizabeth what she had to say on the stand again. Elizabeth
tells him that it wasn't anything new and that Diane wanted to ask her a
few things about her marriage to Ric. Elizabeth tries to avoid answering
Lucky's questions. Sam picks up on that and decides to have a little fun
with her discomfort by pointing out that after what happened, Lucky has a
right to know what she said on the stand. Elizabeth explains to him that
Diane just asked her about Ric and that she told the court about Ric's
hatred of Jason. Lucky makes a comment about how it is already getting
around town that she slept with Jason and that he was just wondering if
there was anything else she said on the stand that would affect him. He
heads upstairs which leaves Sam alone with Elizabeth. Sam tells
Elizabeth that she should be more understanding about how Lucky must feel
and how he has good reason to be suspicious of her since she lied to him
for so long. Later, they have another run in at the courthouse. Elizabeth
grabs Sam by the arm as she tries to walk by her without speaking to her.
Sam tells her to keep her hands off of her. Elizabeth tells her that she
wants her to stay away from her children and her husband. Sam accuses
Elizabeth of hanging around the courthouse hoping to see Jason and show
her love for him. Elizabeth accuses Sam of hoping that Jason gets found
guilty of murder because she is spiteful and wants revenge.
August 16TH The verdict is read at Jason's trial. He is found not
guilty. Ric watches in disbelief that he didn't get a conviction. Jason
hugs his attorney, Diane and thanks her for all her help. Elizabeth
and Sam come face to face outside the courtroom while waiting for the
verdict to come in. Sam makes a snide remark about how Lucky wouldn't be
too happy if he knew that his wife was waiting for Jason's verdict so she
can be there in person. Elizabeth tells her she is a friend who is there
to support him. Sam thinks Elizabeth is being insensitive to how Lucky
feels and that he will be humiliated again by her being at the courthouse.
Jason heads out of the courtroom and greets Elizabeth. He hugs Elizabeth
in public and this catches the television news cameraman's eye and the
press. Sam watches in disbelief as Jason hugs Elizabeth and thanks her for
her testimony in helping him get his acquittal. Elizabeth tells him she is
glad because she was afraid her testimony may have hurt him in court.
Diane makes a statement to the press about Jason's acquittal in front of
the cameras. Sam grabs Elizabeth as she is walking away from the cameras
and warns her that this doesn't mean things are over yet for her.
Elizabeth smugly walks away. Jason notices that Sam is in the courthouse
and saw him hugging Elizabeth.
Jason returns home to his apartment to find the star necklace he gave to
Sam laying on top of the desk. Sam shows up at his apartment and tells him
she just came to get the rest of her things. Jason hands her the necklace
to give back to her but she refuses to take it. She tells him that she
can't wear something that reminds her of what will never be again. She
takes the box that is sitting on the bottom stair and heads out of the
apartment. She turns around and tells him she is glad that he was
acquitted but feels that he paid too high a price for it by losing his
son. Jason tells her he gave up Jake because he can't put his son in
danger and give him the life he deserves and he can't understand why she
can't accept that. Sam tells him that he is giving up his son because
Elizabeth asked him to and that Elizabeth gets to keep her son and be with
her husband while he gets to live his life alone. Jason defends Elizabeth
which angers Sam more. Sam tells him that Elizabeth is afraid of him and
that is why she is staying with her husband and keeping her son from
Jason. Sam shocks Jason when she defends Lucky's right to know the truth
and that maybe she should sleep with Lucky to even the score some. She
tells Jason that he and Elizabeth deserve each other.
August 17TH Sam runs into Liz at the park with the kids. Sam asks to
hold Jake and Liz tells her that she has made her feelings known about
staying clear. Liz says she has to go to work and turns to leave. Liz is
going to work on foot because her car is in the shop. Sam asks where Lucky
is and Liz tells her he is busy.
August 20TH Elizabeth and her sons are held at gunpoint by two men
in the park. Sam arrives with a gun pointed at them and demands that they
leave. After they leave, Sam inquires as to what they wanted. She then
suggests that they call the police which Elizabeth agrees to. When Lucky
and Cruz arrive, they question both Elizabeth and Sam. Elizabeth says that
Sam saved them. Afterwards, Elizabeth calls Jason and asks him to meet her
at the overlook. Sam is seen talking to the two men who held guns on
Elizabeth and her children. She tells them what a great job they did at
the park and how convincing they were. Lucky comes up to her and asks what
is going on.
August 21ST Lucky is suspicious when he sees Sam talking to the men
who harassed Elizabeth. She explains that they work on the set at her TV
show. Later, Sam and Liz run into each other at the park. There is an
awkward moment but Liz thanks her again for saving her. Ric passes by and
makes a snide comment. Sam tells Rick about the incident in the park, and
tells him that it is his fault for exposing Elizabeth and Jason's affair
in court. An argument ensues between the three of them, and Ric tells her
that she is as bad a Carly when it comes to defending Jason.
August 22ND Sam pays off the thugs that threatened
Elizabeth and tells them she'll kill them if anyone finds out she was
involved. She tells them to leave town. Maxie sees the men as they are
leaving and confronts Sam, who denies everything. Maxie warns Sam
that if she can figure out Sam paid the thugs to threathen Elizabeth that
Jason will figure it out, too. Jason comes home and wakes up
Spinelli to tell him about Liz and the kids being threatened. Spinelli
calls up security camera footage from across the street from the park. He
finds the evil dooers and is able to get a license plate number on them.
August 23RD Lucky asks Sam if she is asking him to be her
bodyguard because she is trying to get revenge on Elizabeth. Sam denies
that is what she is doing but tells him that she does blame Elizabeth for
her breakup with Jason. She tells him she would never use him or anyone to
get to Elizabeth because she knows it is over with Jason.
August 24TH Jason and Spinelli track down the thugs who attacked
Elizabeth. Jason beats the truth out of the goons Sam hired and learns
what she did.
August 27TH Sam opens the door to find Jason. He turns the light on,
is clearly very angry and tells her they need to talk.
August 28TH Jason confronts Sam about hiring the men to scare Liz. She not
only doesn't care, but tells Jason that he should be thanking her for
giving Liz a wake-up call. Jason is furious, and threatens to kill Sam if
she ever hurts Elizabeth or the children again. Later, Lucky visits Sam
and finds her crying. He tries to ask her why she is upset. She doesn't
really answer him, but tells him she feels so much safer now that he is
her bodyguard.
August 31ST Liz is ironing at home when Sam comes by. They argue
over Lucky working for her and how Liz thinks Sam is just trying to get
back at her by seducing her husband. When Lucky shows up, Sam lies and
tells Lucky that she was trying to make amends with Liz but all she is
interested in is whether or not Sam and Jason are getting back together.
Lucky meets up with Sam in the park. She apologizes and says she thought
she could make peace with Liz. They kiss and Jason walks up and sees them.
Sam sees him also and asks if he has a problem with it. Lucky says he's
probably going to rush off and tell Liz so he can rescue her yet again.
Lucky tells Jason that he may get Liz, but he'll never get his boys. When
Lucky leaves, Jason tells Sam that Lucky doesn't deserve this. She
explains that this is all for revenge on Liz. She's repaying her, unless
Jason kills her first. She reminds him of his threat. He tells her that
the anger she is carrying around will hurt her more than he ever could.
She says she never thought they could hate each other this much.
SEPTEMBER 13TH Jason shows up at Sam's new place after she calls him to
tell him she is in danger and needs his help. When he gets to her place,
he realizes that she lied to him about it. She tells him she asked him to
come by so they could talk and leads him to her hot-tub outside her
apartment. She tells him she plans to seduce Lucky and she wanted to let
him know. Jason tells her he doesn't care what she does and now he
realizes he can't trust a word that she says to him anymore. Sam can't
believe he wouldn't help her if she truly was in danger. Jason tells her
he would help her but he would have to see her in danger with his own eyes
to trust it since he can't believe her anymore. Sam tells him that she
hates him and that she wouldn't even call him to save her if she was
crawling naked over a floor of broken glass. Jason leaves her alone.
OCTOBER 31ST Wyndemere -- 5:00 AM Nikolas says, "People
say that I love you more than life. I never knew what that meant until
tonight. Would you die for love?" Next, Nikolas is shown lying on the
ground with a bloody hand. He opens his eyes and looks around. He sees a
mask on the ground and screams, "NO!!!" 11 hours earlier: Quartermaine.
He wishes he could be there tonight so he could hear the announcement of
his engagement to Emily. Everyone applauds while they kiss. Outside,
Liz watches as Nikolas and Emily begin the first dance. Lucky comes
outside and the two reminisce from the past parties at Wyndemere. Lucky
asks Liz to dance, for old time's sake. Sam watches them from the shadows.
They finish dancing and she says this was how they were supposed to end.
They went full circle. They started dancing in the courtyard at Wyndemere,
and that's where they are ending. Lucky leaves without seeing Sam. Sam
comes out and tells Liz that she just played Lucky like a real pro. The
two girls continue yelling at each other over Jake being Jason's child and
Sam's inability to deal with it. Liz slaps Sam, and Sam returns with a
punch. They start yelling and screaming while they fight until Lucky comes
out and breaks them up. He asks what they were fighting about, and Sam
tells Liz to come clean.
NOVEMBER 1ST Sam and Elizabeth start a brawl out on the terrace.
Lucky gets between the two women who trade insults at each other. Emily
comes out to see what the commotion is. Lucky takes Sam's side in the
fight after Elizabeth calls Sam a lying slut. Sam hints to Lucky that
Elizabeth is the liar and that they are the victims in all this since
Jason and Elizabeth betrayed them both. Emily takes Elizabeth's side and
yells at Lucky for not appreciating the fact that Elizabeth stuck up for
him in the mediation the other day. Nikolas shows up and surprises
everyone when he gets in Emily's face and yells at her for how she was
talking about his brother. Emily realizes he is having one of his episodes
again and backs down and takes Elizabeth over to one of the bedrooms to
help her fix her hair and her torn dress strap. Later, Sam apologizes to
Nikolas for what happened earlier with Elizabeth and fills him in on what
he did when he yelled at Emily for yelling at Lucky. Nikolas doesn't
remember this episode like he doesn't remember any of his other psychotic
episodes and thinks he is getting worse. Sam tries to reassure him that
Emily seemed to be ok and probably knows he didn't mean what he said.
Later, Lucky and Sam talk after the fight. Sam asks him why they are even
trying to be in a relationship when love dies eventually.
NOVEMBER 2ND Wyndemere 9 hours earlier: Alexis screams when she finds Ric,
who has been stabbed by a sword. Lucky asks what is bothering her, and she
tells him that she doesn't like the way Liz treats him. Sam later catches
back up with Lucky and tells him that someone took an axe to the
generator. Luke finds them and tells them about Ric being stabbed. He
tells them there's safety in numbers. Luke tries to keep everyone calm in
the ball room.
NOVEMBER 5TH 8 hours earlier: 9 PM: A voice says, "When you're
alone in the dark, you never know who will be coming for you or why."
Liz opens the closet door and a body falls out with a knife in the back.
She takes the knife out of the dead body. Jason is speeding towards
the island in the boat not realizing the boat has a bomb on it that is
quickly counting down. The bomb on the boat is at 35 seconds and
quickly counting down. Jason notices something flapping in the wind. When
he reaches down to touch it, he realizes it is a bomb. It is at 5 seconds.
The bomb explodes. Sam pulls Emily aside after seeing Anthony again and
him waving at her. She tells Emily that they need to talk. Emily says that
if it's about Lucky or Liz, she's not interested. Sam tells her she just
wants to know about a person running around Wyndemere. Does she recognize
the person in the corner? Emily doesn't see anyone. Anthony is gone. As
Sam works on the radio, Jerry searches for the fuelline and finds out that
it is missing. The two start to bicker, but Jax tells them that this is
going nowhere. Carly decides she has to go back to the house. She knows
who is doing all of this. Jax tells her that she needs to stay safe to get
back to her boys, but she sneaks out when no one is looking. Jerry, Jax,
and Sam realize Carly is gone and has headed back to the house. Suddenly,
gun shots ring out.
NOVEMBER 6TH Wyndemere 7 hours earlier: 10 PM "There are two choices
when you are scared. One, you hide. Two, you stay and fight." Jason
asks Liz what she's doing running around the dark house. She tells him
about looking for flashlights and how she got disoriented in the dark
house. She tells him about the body she found. Jason knows that Anthony
Zacchara is up to no good. Jerry and Sam walk into the ballroom and tell
everyone there what happened. Luke tells them to stay here and stay away
from the grudge match. Jerry thinks everyone needs to get off the island.
Luke tells him no one will leave the island tonight.
NOVEMBER 7TH 6 hours earlier: 12 AM "We all have limits, lines
we know we won't cross until we do." Luke tells Jerry that trying to
get off the island by boat is suicide. Jerry tells him they won't make
room for him. There is no launch, but Jerry tells them about the boat Jax
is driving. Sam interrupts and says she needs to know where Lucky is. The
men argue over what is best and what they should do.
NOVEMBER 8TH Five Hours Earlier Jason shows up in the room they are
in and wonders why they are arguing when they should be staying with the
others in a safe room. Lulu wants to help Johnny find his father and
thinks she can be bait for him since Anthony wanted to kill her because he
thought she was Johnny's new girlfriend. Jason agrees with Johnny that
Lulu should not make herself a target for Anthony but thinks that Johnny
is going after his father to protect him and so they aren't exactly on the
same side. Johnny tells Jason that he isn't going after his father to
protect him but to kill him himself. Jason grabs Lulu's arm as she starts
to argue with him about making her own choices and Johnny reluctantly
follows them. Carly finds Sam and Jerry arguing about who is going to take
the boat back to the mainland, Jerry or Jax. Sam doesn't trust Jerry to
take the boat since he may decide to leave and never come back for anyone.
Jerry tells them that he has no intention of leaving without Jax or Carly.
Carly starts arguing with Sam about her involvement with Lucky and having
sex with him to get revenge on Jason. Sam tells Jerry and Carly that she
is not going anywhere until she finds out where Lucky went.
Carly wonders around and comes face to face with one of the gunmen looking
for Zacchara. The gunman aims his gun at Carly. One of the other gunmen
joins him which distracts the gunman enough to allow Carly to duck away
behind one of the pillars. Jason shows up to protect her and Sam also
shows up as well with a gun of her own. Jason and Sam look at each other
and Sam nods her head to let him know she is ready to cover for him while
he shoots at the men. They both end up shooting the gunmen as Carly
watches them. After they take care of the gunmen, Jason asks Carly if she
is okay. She tells him she is fine and asks him if he is okay. Sam feels
unappreciated by them for helping them and lets them know it. Carly
accuses Sam of wanting a pat on the back from Jason, hoping he will
forgive her because she helped them. Jason tells Carly that Sam already
knows why he will never be able to forgive her.
NOVEMBER 9TH Four Hours Earlier Arriving as Zacchara is on the verge
of choking Nikolas to death, Johnny tries to talk his father down.
Following Jason's rejection, and feeling that he put Elizabeth's safety
first, Sam wants vengeance. Calry defends Jason, Lucky defends Sam. Sam
tells Jason that she wouldn't take him back if he came crawling on his
hands and knees. After Sam leaves, Carly warns Jason that Sam wants
payback. Jason says he has more important things to worry about at the
moment. Eventually, Lucky and Sam make their way to the stables to join
the others, including Elizabeth.
NOVEMBER 12TH 3 hours earlier: 2 AM "Some things are too
important to lie about." Sam yells at Liz about lying to Lucky. Jason
comes in and tells her she needs to stop. Lucky tells Jason to stop
ordering Sam around. Sam tells Lucky not to bother defending Liz. She'll
never admit that what she did was wrong. Lucky wants to know what's going
on. Jason tells him it's not Sam's place to say. He is Jake's father, not
Lucky. Lucky is in denial at first and wants a paternity test done. He
calls Liz a lying whore. When Jason grabs Lucky's shoulder, Lucky punches
Jason and threatens to kill him. Jason tells him he's not going to kill
anyone. The four continue to bicker and place blame on each other. Lucky
and Sam storm off, and Liz asks Jason why he had to reveal the truth
tonight while a killer was on the loose. Jason says he couldn't keep his
son a secret any longer. Meanwhile, Sam tries to calm Lucky down.
Lucky doesn't know what to do. He's bonded with Jake, and he doesn't know
how he should handle the situation now. He realizes now that Sam was
trying to tell him the truth. She apologizes that she didn't tell him
sooner. She's known since the day after Jake was born.
NOVEMBER 13TH 2 hours earlier: 3 AM Robin: "Love is messy and
complicated. When you're sure it's over, love saves your life."
Nikolas finds Lucky and Sam and asks if Lucky has found Liz. Lucky tells
him that Liz is right where she wants to be. They start to talk about Liz
and Jason, but Nikolas erupts in anger at Lucky when he questions where
Emily is. Emily runs into Jason in the ballroom. She asks him how he got
there. He tells her about the speed boat and asks why she is alone. She
tells him she is looking for Nikolas. He is getting worse. She locked him
in the cellar, but he's not there anymore. Jason wants her to go to the
stables, but she won't leave Nikolas. He wants her to be reasonable. He
will take her to the stables and then come back to look for Nikolas. He
tries to grab her to take her with him, but Nikolas comes up from behind
and slams Jason down on the table. He tells Jason to get his hands off of
her. Emily yells at Nikolas to stop.
NOVEMBER 14TH 1 hour earlier: 4 AM Nikolas: "You can love
someone forever, yet lose them in a heartbeat." Jason knocks Emily
off of him and starts to beat Nikolas. Emily tells him to stop. Nikolas is
having another black out and it will pass soon. Jason decides to tie him
to the chair. He wants to get Emily out of there, but she won't leave
without Nikolas. Emily wakes up and is horrified when he learns what he
did to Emily and Jason. He pleads with Jason to take Emily away so he
can't hurt her again. He promises Emily that as soon as this is over, he
will get help and then they will get married. They kiss and Emily leaves
with Jason. Lucky and Sam go back to the barn. Lucky thinks that Sam
should stay there to guard the others. Liz doesn't think this is a good
idea. She mentions how Sam needs to tell the truth to Lucky about that day
in the park when she saved Liz and the boys. Lucky finally agrees that Sam
should not stay there either, but he tells Liz that by sending Sam away it
doesn't make any of this less of her fault. Jason and Emily go to the
stables shortly after Sam and Lucky leave. Jason assures Emily everything
will be ok. She takes solace in him saying that, and he leaves.
As Nikolas sits tied to the chair, he hears someone enter and asks Jason
if he's made sure Emily is safe. Anthony starts to strangle him, but
suddenly stops. He tells Nikolas he's not much of a host. He shouldn't
have invited him, but Nikolas asks who would have provided the
entertainment. He asks who tied him up and implies that he has Emily.
Lucky comes in and pulls a gun on Anthony. Nikolas tells him not to shoot,
because he has Emily. Sam tells Nikolas that Anthony is just trying to
mess with his head. Anthony escapes and Lucky tries to chase after him.
Lucky comes back and asks Nikolas if he's ok, but he says not until he
knows that Emily is safe. They untie him and he runs off. They quickly
follow him, but Sam and Lucky get distracted and before they know it,
Nikolas is gone.
Jason goes back to the room where he left Nikolas and finds Johnny. He
explains that his father is not the only one who is a danger. Nikolas is
out of control. They agree to each check separate areas of the house and
leave. When they leave, Nikolas comes out of hiding. He picks up a mask,
but has to hide again when Robin, Leyla, and Patrick come in searching for
pain medication. They find some and quickly leave again. Emily runs into
the ballroom and finds Nikolas. They are happy to see each other, but
Nikolas tells her she needs to stay away from him. He starts yelling at
her, and suddenly you can hear her choking. Out in the hallway, Sam asks
Lucky if he considered that Nikolas was tied up for his own good. Lucky
can't believe she would ask something like that, but she says she has a
bad feeling about this. She doesn't think he got lost. She thinks he
ditched them on purpose.
NOVEMBER 15TH Nikolas comes to after passing out. He wakes up to find
Emily lying on the floor with a noose around her neck. He starts to scream
when he sees her. He goes over to her and tries to see if he can
resuscitate her but it appears he is too late and Emily is dead.
Meanwhile, Jason finds Carly, Jax, and Jerry in the main atrium and yells
at Carly for running off the way she did. She explains to him about what
happened to Jax and Jerry on the boat. Jax tells Jason that they managed
to get Alexis to the hospital but ran into problems on the way back during
the storm. Suddenly, they hear a scream coming from the other room. They
find Nikolas sitting on the floor, cradling Emily in his arms and
appearing to be in shock. Jason tries to get Nikolas to move away so he
can check on Emily but Nikolas refuses to let go of her and rambles on
incoherently about how she is just resting and will be ok. Carly tries to
talk to him but he can't tell her anything about what happened to Emily.
Jason goes to find Elizabeth and tells her about Emily's death. Elizabeth
refuses to believe that Emily is dead but agrees to help anyway she can
and gets some horse tranquilizer. Elizabeth finds Nikolas holding Emily
and not letting her go. She injects him with the tranquilizer and gets him
to let go of Emily so Jason to lift her and carry her somewhere to lay her
down. Sonny finds her laying there with Jason looking on with a lot of
sorrow and devastation. Sonny also reacts with sorrow. He tells Jason how
sorry he is for his loss and talks to Emily about how he always wanted her
to be safe and happy.
NOVEMBER 16TH Jason comes out on the balcony and sees Anthony
holding Liz at gunpoint on the edge. He tells Jason that one of them is
going to fly tonight. He notices that Jason loves Liz. He asks Jason which
one of them is going to fly and die tonight.
NOVEMBER 19TH Jason tries to stall Anthony and tells him that he
should leave. Liz jumps backwards and kicks Anthony in the leg. He falls
and he and Jason struggle for the gun. Anthony jumps off the balcony and
lays on the terrace below, unmoving. Jason comes over with his gun
drawn. Johnny tries to stop him from shooting his dad, but Trevor tells
him to let Morgan go down for murder. Mac arrives on the island and
tells Jason to put his gun down. The cops go over to Anthony's body and
asked what happened. Jason tells them that he jumped off the ledge. They
ask if that was before or after he was shot. Georgie, Maxie, Spinelli and
Nadine come running over. Nadine offers to help with Anthony. Maxie tells
Mac that Robin is inside helping Ric. Georgie reveals that Emily was
killed. Mac goes over to Jason and offers his sympathy but asks how soon
after Zacchara killed Emily did he try to kill Anthony?
Nikolas stands over Emily's body. Sam comes in and asks what happened. He
tells her that he had another blackout. When he woke up he tried to revive
Emily, but it was to no avail. She asks if anyone else knows, and he tells
her that Jason and some other people know. He doesn't care, though.
Elizabeth gave him a shot to help ease the pain, but nothing will help the
pain. Liz walks in the room with Nikolas and sees him talking to Sam. Sam
yells at her for leaving her best friend and Nikolas. They bicker about
Jason and Lucky until Sam decides to leave to find Lucky.
NOVEMBER 20TH Sam overhears as Liz tells Emily that she's going to follow
her heart. Sam tells her she is still looking for Lucky. Liz suggests she
tell Mac, but Sam erupts into a fit of anger again, blaming Liz for
hurting Lucky. Nikolas walks in as they are putting Emily in a body bag.
He starts yelling at them to get out of his house and hugs Emily's
lifeless body. Sam tries to comfort him, but he pushes her away. Liz ends
up comforting Nikolas as they take Emily's body away.
November 26th Sam finds Lucky on the docks and they talk about
Emily's death. He blames himself and Sam assures him that it wasn't his
fault, they all believe it was Anthony Zaccara who killed her. Lucky
confides to Sam that he feels like he's lost everything that matters, she
encourages him to visit Jake.
November 27th Jason attends Emily's funeral, but doesn't
make his presence known. Elizabeth delivers her heartfelt and
emotional eulogy.
December 4 Lucky tells Sam that he told Liz he would continue being Jake's
father. Sam is surprised that Liz agreed. Lucky tells her that Liz knows
what is best. Cameron and Jake will always be his kids. Sam asks him what
is next, and Lucky says that he is going to set up a schedule so the boys
can be a part of his life without Liz. He also wants Sam to be a part of
the kid's life. He wants them to get to know her. She acts like she
doesn't think it's a very good idea. She especially doesn't want to get to
know the kids in the home they all shared with Liz. They decide to let the
kids get to know Sam at her place.
DECEMBER 28TH Sam goes to see Jason, she demands to know if they are going
to get involved in an all out war with the Zacchara's. Jason tells her he
can't reveal that information to her. She refuses to be dismissed and
demands to know if she needs to get her mom and sisters out of town. She
points out that she has been shot before when he was a target. Jason says
that steps have been taken to protect them. Sam reminds him that if Jason
were able to protect everyone without any doubts, he would be with Liz and
Jake. Jason informs her that Alexis knows about the situation. Sam finds
that interesting since Kate has left town and Sam assumes it was in order
to be protected.
January 7, 2009 Sam overhears Elizabeth trying to find a babysitter. She
offers that Elizabeth that Lucky can bring the kids to her place and she
will help Lucky watch them. Elizabeth says that she will not let Sam
anywhere near her children. Sam tells Elizabeth that no matter what
relation Elizabeth manages with Jason, his job will always come first. She
accuses him of being a coward who will not acknowledge his son because
keeping his job with Sonny is more important than his family. Sam
drops by to return a bracelet that Carly lost at the hospital. Since it is
a baby bracelet, Sam assumes that Carly knows about Jason's relationship
to Jake and tosses out several innuendoes. When it becomes apparent that
Carly does not know about Jake's parentage, she tries to back off, but
Carly becomes enraged and tells Sam she knows Jason much better than Sam
does. This is too much for Sam and the dam breaks. She tells Carly the
truth. Jake is Jason's son.
JANUARY 8TH Carly refuses to believe it and thinks that Sam is just
jealous of Carly and her friendship with Jason. Carly says she saw through
Sam from the start. She asks how many beds Sam had to bounce around in:
Jax, Sonny, and Jason. Sam tells her she knows she was thrilled when Sam
couldn't get pregnant because Carly knew what a son would mean to Jason.
Now Liz had a son with him and didn't tell Carly. They did a DNA test. She
was there when Jake was born and Jason called him his son. Carly says all
she has to do is go to Jason and he will tell her it's a lie. Sam tells
her that he could keep up the charade because of what he has with
Elizabeth. Carly tells her to leave. Carly shows up to see Liz and as she
looks at Jake and realizes it's true, Jake is Jason's son. Liz tells her
to leave. Carly tells her she has a choice, to talk in front of the kids
or send them off to bed. Liz takes Jake and Cameron in the other room and
tells Carly not to be there when she comes back. Carly doesn't listen and
is still there when Liz comes back. Carly says she's been going over
everything that has happened since Jake was born. Jason has known for a
long time, hasn't he? Liz asks what this has to do with her. Carly says
it's because Liz used a baby to hook Jason. Liz tells her she's just upset
because Jason didn't confide in her. Carly doesn't believe that Jason
wanted to keep Jake a secret. Jason would never give up his son. Liz can't
believe the ridicule coming from the town whore. Carly slaps her. Liz
tells her she needs to leave. Carly thinks Liz got pregnant on purpose.
Liz tells her that she and Jason made a miracle together, which is
something Carly can never have with him. Carly mentions how pathetic it is
that Liz gave Jake the initials of his father. Liz asks how Carly found
out. Carly doesn't say, but Liz guesses it was Sam. Later, Carly
shows up to talk to Jason. He asks if this is about her wanting to have a
baby again. She tells him it's about him having a baby with Elizabeth. Is
it true? Is Jake your son? Liz shows up at Sam's, furious at her for
making trouble. Lucky comes to the doorway and asks what is going on. Liz
tells him that Sam went to Carly and told him that Jake was Jason's son.
Sam looks away.
JANUARY 9TH Lucky asks Sam why she did it. She tells him that Carly
kept belittling her and she lashed out. She tells Lucky that she regrets
her actions and she would take it back if she could. Elizabeth is ready to
tell Lucky about Sam's other betrayals, but he gets a phone call and has
to go. He wants Elizabeth to leave with him, but both she and Sam insist
that they need to talk further. Once they are alone, Elizabeth reminds Sam
that Lucky does not know that she watched Jake being kidnapped and did
nothing, or that Sam was responsible for hiring two men to pretend to be
thugs to threaten Elizabeth and her children in order to make Jason think
he was a danger to Elizabeth. Sam pleads with Elizabeth and tries to
generate sympathy for her actions, but Elizabeth is unforgiving. Sam then
tells Elizabeth to keep quiet for Lucky's sake, using the same argument
that Sam and everyone else condemned when Elizabeth said she kept silent
about Jake's paternity for Lucky's sake. Elizabeth has a few choice words
for Sam, but when Sam asks her what she intends to do, Elizabeth tells Sam
that she is going home to love her children and as far as Sam is
concerned, she might do nothing, except leave it up to Carly to punish Sam
for her actions.
Carly is hurt when he admits that Jake is his son and he has not confided
that information to her, especially when she finds out that Sonny, Lucky,
Lulu and Spinelli all know the truth also. She blames everything on
Elizabeth. Jason interrupts her tirade to tell her that this is why he did
not confide in her. He continues to insist that it was his decision to
keep Jake's paternity secret, while Carly vents and rants about Elizabeth.
He points out the problems with Michael and Johnny Zacchara, along with
all the other reasons that he does not want his son to follow in his
career. Carly counters that Jason and Sonny are good men, and a son could
do worse than to be like them. Finally, Jason asks her to stay out of it
and let him handle the situation with Elizabeth. A fired-up Carly, now
wants to be his "knightess" in shining armor and she insists
that Jason should have his son. She completely ignores his wishes and
before Jason can stop her, charges out of the office.
JANUARY 10TH Carly returns to Elizabeth's house to confront her about
keeping Jake from his father, Jason. Elizabeth tells her that they both
made the decision to keep Jake away from him, and for Lucky to pretend to
be the father for Jake's protection. Carly accuses Elizabeth of wanting to
keep Jake away from Jason because it is inconvenient for her that Jason is
her son's father. Elizabeth tells Carly that she loves Jason. Carly
doesn't believe her and thinks she is only looking out for her own best
interests and not what is best for Jake or Jason. Elizabeth tells her that
this doesn't concern her and asks her to stay out of it. Carly refuses and
plans to make sure that Jason gets joint custody of Jake, no matter what
she has to do.
JANUARY 11TH Jason finds Sam on the docks and asks her why she told
Carly about Jake. She tells him she did it to get back at him for hurting
her. Now they are even. He questions if they really are even. He knows she
wanted revenge. She knew the consequences of Carly finding out. She agrees
that she did realize what it would do, but she was only telling his best
friend that he was a dad. How could he not realize how much it hurt her
that Liz gave him the child that she could not give him. At least Carly
has the guts to say what's on her mind, unlike Liz. Sam tells him that
this is about Jason and the choices he is making for his son. He will
never be able to make it work with Liz. She doesn't understand him or his
life. She doesn't know how to stand by him for the man that he is. Liz was
his choice, and his son will pay the price. She leaves.
January 14th Liz rushes Jake into GH after he has been exposed to smoke
during a fire at her house. She finds herself in the middle of a hostage
situation at GH. A frustrated husbad, Joe Smith has brought his wife,
Angie, to emergency for a second time, despite being refused treatment
earlier. This time he reveals that a bomb is strapped to his waist. He
threatens to detonate it if someone does not help his wife. Sam tries to
get Liz to leave, but she is too distraught to heed the warning. When Joe
tells her she cannot get treatment for Jake, she notices the bomb strapped
to him.
JANUARY 15TH Joe tells Liz that she needs to take baby
Jake to another hospital. The doctors are all needed to treat Angie.
Epiphany and Liz both try to reason with Joe, but Sam is the one who
finally gets through to him. He agrees to let baby Jake in to see a
doctor. Epiphany rushes off to a cubicle with Jake. Joe is outraged when
Jason arrives. Jason says he needs to check on a baby that was brought in.
Joe asks if he's the father. Jason says that the mother is his friend. Joe
does not allow him in. He asks if he is armed, and Jason pulls out his gun
and lays it down on the floor. Joe thinks he's a cop, but Monica says he's
a gangster. He's one of the most dangerous men in Port Charles. She should
know, because she's his mother. Jason preoccupies Joe by asking about the
baby. It is revealed that Angie had multiple miscarriages and they decided
to stop trying. They got pregnant anyway, and Joe considers it a miracle.
Angie wanted a boy, and Joe wanted a girl. He thought the shop could
support them, but now he realizes that no one cares about anything. Lucky
and a security guard eavesdrop on what's going on in the emergency room
through a door in the stairwell. Lucky sees Joe holding Monica hostage.
Joe asks Jason how he feels about his mother. Lucky relays to Scott that
he thinks he can take out Joe. Scott tells him to shoot to kill.
Meanwhile, Jason prepares his own plan.
JANUARY 16TH In the emergency room, Joe, the bomber, becomes
increasingly distraught and threatening. Jason tries to calm him down.
Scott encourages Lucky, who is poised in the hallway with a sniper rifle,
to shoot the bomber. When Lucky hesitates, because Jason is in the way,
Scott orders him to fire anyway. Lucky refuses to kill an innocent man,
even Jason. When Lucky sees that the bomber, Joe, is holding a "dead
man's switch," he realizes that if he shoots, the bomb will go off.
He tells an irate Scott that they will have to find another way. Jason,
with Sam's help, continues trying to reason with Joe. Jason gets Dr. Ford
to agree that no action will be taken against Joe, that Angie will still
be treated and that Joe can stay with her until the doctors determine what
is going on. Joe is on the verge of relenting when Nikolas storms in,
still in a rage. When Joe threatens to detonate the bomb, Nikolas taunts
him and tells him to go ahead. Jason and others try to restrain Nikolas,
but it only makes him madder. He rushes at Joe and knocks him down.
Someone screams and the screen goes black.
JANUARY 17TH Nikolas confronts Joe at the hospital and dares him to
push the detonator and blow up the place. Joe warns Nikolas to back off
but keeps walking closer and closer to Joe. Sam grabs Nikolas and tries to
stop him from provoking Joe when he could blow up everyone in the hospital
by getting him angry. Nikolas refuses to listen to Sam and still starts
walking towards Joe. Jason slugs Nikolas in the jaw and knocks him out
cold to prevent him from ruining things. Joe gets more anxious and tells
everyone to sit down and shut up. Joe asks Sam what the doctor said about
his wife's condition. Sam hesitates a little too long in trying to give
him positive news about his wife and unborn child. Joe starts to get very
anxious when Sam doesn't have good news to tell him. Dr. Lee comes out of
the examining room and approaches Joe. She tells him that Sam is telling
the truth and points out that he is making the situation with his wife and
baby worse by causing stress for her because she is worrying about what he
is going to do out here. Joe relaxes a little and tells her to go run
whatever tests she needs to run on his wife but makes everyone sit down
and be quiet.
Joe talks to Sam about some car he had and how all he wants is for his son
to one day be able to get behind the wheel of the car he had gotten from
his own father. Jason overhears Joe talking about his dreams for his son.
#18B January 17th - Jason decides to take a chance and
confront him again. Joe asks him what he is doing standing up and
approaching him again without permission. Jason asks him if he ever has
played poker. Joe tells him he doesn't play much poker because his luck
has been very bad lately. Jason tells him that he likes roulette himself
because you have a fifty-fifty chance of winning at it. Joe doesn't like
it when Jason starts walking closer and closer to him. Dr. Julian Tavares
starts walking behind Joe to help Jason out by distracting Joe enough for
Jason to grab him and disarm him. Jason grabs him and Joe pushes on the
detonator. Nothing happens. Jason pulls at the bomb Joe has strapped
around his waist and shows everyone that Joe was bluffing and that there
was no bomb after all. Everyone sighs in relief. The cops show up inside
and arrest Joe. Joe pleads with Sam to watch out for Angie for him after
he pleads with the cops to let him stay with Angie and they say no.
Both Sam and Jason see Elizabeth and Lucky with Jake and can't help but be
a little bit jealous when seeing them together. Jason doesn't announce his
presence and leaves to go back into the emergency room.
January 28th Elizabeth is unhappy to find Sam with Jake when she goes to
Lucky's home to pick up her son. Sam tries to make amends, but Elizabeth
does not trust her, and tells her to make plans to break up with Lucky.
Elizabeth threatens to tell Lucky that Sam stood by while Jake was
kidnapped and that she hired men to threaten Elizabeth and her children.
Sam pleads with Elizabeth and says that she is falling in love with Lucky.
A noticeably weak and limping Elizabeth shows her the door as she says
that Sam is incapable of love and that she does not deserve a good man
like Lucky. Before she finishes her diatribe, Elizabeth notices that her
leg is bleeding and nearly passes out. Sam is helping her to the couch
when Lucky arrives. Elizabeth says that she is fine and just wants to go
home. Lucky points out the obvious, that she is in no condition to care
for herself or her children. On top of that, the fire damage to her house
has not been fully repaired. Lucky wants her to go to the hospital, but
when Sam volunteers to watch Jake, Elizabeth balks.
JANUARY 29TH Liz sleeps in her hospital room while someone sneaks
in. She wakes up after having a nightmare about the fire and Jake. Sam is
there and she tries to calm Liz down, but Liz wants to know what she's
doing there. Sam says she came to make peace. Sam says she and Lucky
should have talked to Liz first about them dating. Sam goes on to explain
that if they had talked to her first, she might not have been so upset
when she found Sam at home with her kids. She wants to make peace and asks
Liz to allow her to be with the kids. Sam tells her that she has come to
care more for Lucky than she could have imagined and cares about the boys.
Liz tells Sam she's kidding herself if she thinks Liz will allow Sam to be
anywhere near her kids. Sam begs her to reconsider as she will be
punishing Lucky by not allowing Sam to be with the kids and Lucky is a
good guy and deserves to be happy. Lucky overhears as Liz tells Sam that
she'll never be allowed near her kids after what she did. Sam thinks that
Liz is still trying to emerge as the town saint. Liz mentions that she is
raising two kids as a single mom. When she's not working, she's doing
laundry, changing diapers, and cleaning up puke. She questions why Sam
still thinks she is trying to be a saint, and tells Sam to guess again.
Liz tells her that nothing has changed and Sam leaves.
JANUARY 30TH Lucky confronts Elizabeth in her hospital room. He
overheard her conversation with Sam and wants to know what Sam is hiding
from him. Elizabeth tells him to talk to Sam, but Lucky insists that she
trust him and tell him the truth. Finally, she does. Sam watched Jake's
kidnapping and did nothing, she confesses. Then, later, she hired men to
pretend to threaten Elizabeth. Lucky is stunned. He leaves the hospital
and goes to the docks, where the same boy who sold a gun to Michael tries
to sell drugs to Lucky. Lucky blows off steam and runs the boy away. He
picks up a plastic bag filled with pills that the boy dropped during their
struggle. As Lucky contemplates the pills, Jason appears on the stairs
behind him. He watches as Lucky tosses the pills into the lake. Lucky
notices Jason and bitterly inquires if Jason was wondering what Lucky
would do with the pills, or wondering if Lucky could still be trusted with
Jake. Lucky tells Jason, "You know I'd like to swear that I'd never
take another pill, but that's a dangerous road for a recovering drug
addict. But you could be with the person day in and day out, look them in
the eye, into the heart, think you know them and be dead wrong." As
he walks away, he looks Jason in the eye and says, "But I don't have
to tell you that."
FEBRUARY 4th Monica, Elizabeth, and Carly are driving in the rain.
Monica is drinking, Elizabeth is dozing off, and Carly is crying. Sam
fights off the "Text Message Killer," but runs into the path of
an oncoming car, which does not stop after hitting her.
FEBRUARY 7TH Sam wakes up in the hospital to find Elizabeth standing
there watching her sleep. She asks Elizabeth what happened and why she is
in the hospital. Elizabeth explains that Sam was hit by a car and the
driver took off without stopping. Sam remembers being hit but doesn't know
who hit her. She asks what Elizabeth is doing in her room. Elizabeth
notices Sam is getting agitated and her heart rate is going up and offers
to go get her a doctor. Sam doesn't believe Elizabeth cares what happens
to her and tells her she wants Lucky not a doctor. Elizabeth takes off.
FEBRUARY 11 Lucky confronts Jason outside Kelly's. Since Jason showed up
at the scene of Sam's accident, Lucky thinks Jason must be the hit-and-run
driver. Jason listens to Lucky rant. As he walks away from Lucky he tells
him to take himself off the case, not because Jason has something to hide,
but because Lucky is too close and cannot be objective.
FEBRUARY 12TH Jason confronts Monica about the night Sam was hit and
Monica's claims about her car being stolen. Jason asks Carly about the car
accident she was in. Carly wants to know why Jason cares. It's not Jason's
problem. She didn't hit Sam, so he shouldn't bother with it. Carly
thinks she needs increased security if the Text Message Killer is really
still out on the streets. Carly gives Jason the details that about her
accident and insists there is no possibility that she hit anyone that
night. Jason is sure she is hiding something and asks what she is afraid
of. Liz goes into Sam's hospital room to take her vitals and witnesses Sam
having a nightmare. Liz apologizes to Sam just as she wakes up. Sam wants
to know what she's sorry for. Liz explains to Sam that she was having a
nightmare. Sam thinks she saw the person driving the car, but the lights
were so bright. Suddenly, Lucky comes by and asks how Sam is doing. Liz
tells him Sam's vitals are good, and she leaves. Lucky tells Sam that her
cell phone has been found, but the text messages are unable to be
recovered. He tells her it's not his problem anymore and he leaves. Sam
can't believe no one believes her.
The Text Message Killer is shown getting a bottle of beer out of a small
fridge. He walks over to newspaper clippings and photos of his victims.
There are red X's next to Leticia, Georgie, and Emily, the three women he
has killed. There are also pictures of Maxie and Carly. A red phone cord
and cell phone are shown on the desk.
FEBRUARY 13TH Jason goes to Sam's hospital room to ask her about the
accident. Sam is still very bitter and gives Jason no useful information
until she mentions the Text Message Killer. Jason is shocked. Sam thinks
that he does not believe her, but he does. Sam softens momentarily and
Jason says that he is sorry for hurting her. She wonders out loud if
"Saint Elizabeth" caused the change in him. Sam hardens her
heart and shouts for Jason to get out. Dr. Devlin walks in. He stands up
to Jason, who leaves after telling Sam that he will listen if she wants to
talk. The Text Message Killer gets a telephone cord from the stash in his
lair. He is wearing black. Even though his face is not visible, we see
newspaper headlines detailing his exploits and pictures of Sam and Alexis.
Elizabeth tells Lucky that she feels responsible for Sam's hit and run. As
she starts telling her story, Lucky stops her when she reaches the point
of leaving the hospital because she wanted to see her children. He tells
Elizabeth that she has no need to feel guilty, because it is his fault for
throwing Sam out of his house. Besides, Lucky says, he has reason to
believe that Jason did the deed. When Elizabeth scoffs that Jason drives a
motorcycle and Sam was hit by a car, Lucky does not swerve, but remains
fully fixated on Jason. Jason may not have hit Sam, says Lucky, but Jason
has no conscience and he knows something about the accident. "So,
please," says Lucky, "Keep your distance. It's still the best
thing for our little boy."
FEBRUARY 14TH Dr. Devlin walks with Sam down the hall, Elizabeth and
Nadine are at the nurses' station when Sam approaches the desk to lean on
it for support. Dr. Devlin gets paged suddenly and asks Elizabeth to
monitor Sam for him while he goes to see about a patient. Elizabeth
hesitates before answering him. Devlin asks her what is wrong. Elizabeth
tells him she is supposed to be manning the station, not watching out for
patients. Devlin tells her that he only needs her to watch out and make
sure Sam gets back to her room safely. Elizabeth tells him that it isn't a
good idea for her and Sam to be around each other. Devlin orders Elizabeth
to be professional and treat Sam as she would any patient. Elizabeth
agrees to do as he asked. Sam tells Devlin that she and Elizabeth have a
man in common with each other and tells him that the truth isn't
Elizabeth's strong suit. Devlin leaves them.
Nadine comes over to Sam and offers to walk with her to make sure she gets
back to her room safely. Sam thanks her but decides to stay there and talk
to Elizabeth alone. Sam confronts Elizabeth about telling Lucky the truth
about what she did. Elizabeth tells her she had no choice but to tell
Lucky everything since he overheard their conversation that day and knew
she was keeping something from him. Sam warns her that the ball is back in
her court. Elizabeth thinks Sam is threatening her but Sam tells her she
is only telling the truth. Nikolas arrives and approaches them. Nikolas
asks to speak to Sam before his appointment with Patrick. Sam walks over
to the waiting area with him. Nikolas tells Sam about how he blacked out
that night while he was driving and that he may have been the one who hit
her. Sam tells him that she wouldn't hold him responsible if he did do
that since she knows it isn't his fault. Elizabeth overhears them talking
and wonders if maybe Nikolas hit Sam with his car and it wasn't her after
all. Jason shows up at the hospital to see Elizabeth. She tells him about
her discovery that Nikolas may have been the one who hit Sam with his car.
Jason tells her that it wasn't Nikolas and he has proof of it. He tells
her that the police report states Sam was hit from the passenger side of
the car and that Nikolas' car doesn't have a dent on that side so he
couldn't have hit her. Elizabeth realizes her car was dented on that side
so she could still be the one who hit Sam that night.
FEBRUARY 15TH The next day, Liz talks to Nik about his feeling of
guilt over Sam's accident. Liz says she still doesn't think he is
responsible for Sam's hit-and-run. Sam overhears their conversation and
tells Nikolas he should listen to Liz about this. Sam thinks Nikolas
should concentrate on getting well and being with his son. Nikolas says he
can't be with his family because of his blackouts.
FEBRUARY 25TH -26th The Text Message Killer attacks Sam in her apartment.
He cannot resist letting her know that he is Diego Alcazar, who Sam and
everyone else in Port Charles, believes is dead from a bullet that Sam
fired. He tells her a funny thing happened on the way to the morgue. He
taunts her that she should have kissed Lucky goodbye because that was her
goodbye. He promises her that Lucky will be so sorry and he is sure that
Lucky will cry at her funeral. Sam fights and tries to get away, but
eventually Diego subdues her. She is bound and gagged. Diego takes Sam
back to his hideout. Chloroform and wires sit out in the area. Diego tells
her it's going to be sad to say goodbye to her.
FEBRUARY 27TH Sam wake up in an old warehouse. She is bound and gagged.
Diego rips the gag away and they trade insults. He reviews all that he has
suffered at her hands, how Alexis killed his father, how many times Sonny
and Jason tried to kill his father. Diego shows her a bomb which he sets
in her lap. He leaves with the bomb, which he places and activates in an
unknown location. Sam breaks her bonds and escapes through a ventilation
duct. After a crawl through the ventilation system she finally
arrives at an exit. When she lets herself down, the light come on and
Diego is holding a gun on her. She is back where she started. Diego has
set up the fake escape route as a way to torment his captive. Diego tells
Sam that he is ready to kill her but they have one more stop to make
before her "bon voyage" will be complete. Diego collects several
things from Sam's apartment, so it will look like she left on a trip. He
does not see her cell phone, which is on the floor partially hidden by the
sofa. Just before he leaves, he puts on his ski mask. He gathers several
bags and when he opens the door, Elizabeth is standing there preparing to
knock.
Feb 28th Diego took all of Sam's belongings and put them in a duffle bag
to make it look like she left town. He didn't notice that he left her cell
phone lying on the floor under the couch. He put his ski mask back on and
went to leave. He opened the door to find Elizabeth standing there. He
grabbed her and carried her back into Sam's apartment. Nik has a flashback
to the night Emily was murdered and finally remembers her killer was
Diego. Nikolas told Jason that he finally remembered who killed her, Diego
Alcazar. Jason told Nikolas to let him handle things. Nikolas refused to
let Jason handle things on his own and insisted he be involved in
capturing Diego.
Diego used chloroform to knock Liz out, placed her in the backseat of the
car, and tied her to the door frame. Max found Diego in the parking garage
and pointed a gun at him, then noticed that Elizabeth was in the backseat.
Diego still had his mask on, so Max couldn't see who he really was. Diego
pointed his own gun at Max and the two men had a shoot-out. Diego shot
toward Max to cover himself while he got into the car. The shooting woke
Sam up. She had been tied up and thrown into the trunk. She had duck tape
around her mouth. Diego backed the car up and hit Max with it when Max
tried to shoot at his tires. Max hit his head on the cement wall and got
knocked out. He called Jason on his cell phone and told him what had
happened. Jason, Nikolas, and Nadine showed up at the parking garage to
find Max lying on the ground. Jason searched Sam's apartment for clues.
Elizabeth woke up in the backseat of the car and saw Diego driving with
his mask still on. She asked him who he was. He told her he never sent her
a text message like the others. Elizabeth realized he was the killer and
asked him who he really was. Diego took off his mask and revealed himself.
Elizabeth asked him why he killed Emily. Diego told her that he killed
Emily because Jason killed his father and he wanted to make Jason pay.
Elizabeth grabbed Diego by the head and scratched him in the face. Diego
got angry with her and hit her in the face several times to get her off of
him. Elizabeth realized there were orange warning signs and roadblocks
ahead of them on the bridge and warned Diego to look where he was going.
Diego swerved to avoid the roadblocks and lost control of the car. When it
stopped, the car was hanging dangerously over the side of the bridge.
FEBRUARY 29TH A message on Sam's cell causes the phone to beep.
Jason finds the phone and picks it up. He hears the recording through
Sam's phone of Diego threatening Sam. Jason is shocked that Diego is still
alive. He tries to figure out what is going on in the recording and
discovers that Diego took Sam and Liz to Hangman's Bridge, the same spot
where Jason dumped Lorenzo's body. Jason gets back with Max and tells him
to contact Spinelli and make sure he's working on Michael's disappearance.
Max tells him that Sonny has it covered, but Jason disagrees. Max asks
what he should do about Nikolas and Nadine. Jason tells them someone might
come back. They need to stay put.
MARCH 3RD A handcuffed Elizabeth fought with Diego while he was driving.
The struggle caused him to crash the car into a bridge railing. Both
Elizabeth and Diego were knocked out when the car crashed. Elizabeth
recovered first and managed to get the key and free herself from the
manacles. Elizabeth heard Sam in the trunk, but before she could free Sam
and escape, Diego woke up and caught her. As they struggled, Lucky and
Jason arrived at the bridge simultaneously. Lucky called the accident in
to the PCPD. Diego quieted Elizabeth with a gun. When Lucky got out of his
car, Diego shot him and Elizabeth screamed. While Diego struggled to
subdue Elizabeth, Jason crept out from behind Lucky's car. He pulled Lucky
to safety and went after Diego. Diego escaped the car and got away on
Jason's motorcycle. Jason had to stay behind to prevent the car from
falling off the bridge into the raging river below. He climbed on the
trunk and kicked in the back window of the car. Elizabeth climbed out. She
rushed over to Lucky and started first aid on his gunshot wound and he was
able to sit up. Sam managed to free herself and kick in the back seat. As
she tried to climb out through the back window, the car lurched
precariously. Jason was thrown backward off the trunk and knocked out. As
Lucky and Elizabeth watched, the car, with Sam in it, plummeted off the
bridge. When Elizabeth checked on Jason, he was unconscious and had deep
bleeding gashes on his hands, which were caused when he tried to hold onto
the car and save Sam. As Elizabeth tended Jason, Lucky called out
frantically for Sam.
MARCH 4th Lucky hears Sam screaming from over the ledge and rushes
to help. He asks her to trust him and he pulls her to safety. Meanwhile,
Liz cradles Jason while ambulances rush to the scene. The paramedics load
Jason into the ambulance, and Sam tells Mac and Lucky about Diego. Both
Georgie and Leticia were not intended victims of Diego's killings. Mac
blames Jason for Georgie's murder, that it was because he had killed
Lorenzo. Sam explains that Diego told her he was after Maxie as she sent
him to prison but Georgie appeared in response to the text message
instead. Diego was also trying to kill Carly when he killed Leticia. Liz
was also in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mac asks Liz where she was
when Diego grabbed her and she explains she was in Sam's apartment.
Everyone questions why Liz was there in the first place. Liz is
interrupted and never answers the question. Sam is in pain, so she is
transported to the hospital. Mac puts an APB out on Diego. Lucky offers to
help find Diego, but Mac wants him to go to the hospital and get checked
out.
MARCH 5th Nikolas started to strangle Diego until he managed to get
free from Nikolas' grasp. Diego grabbed a line of wire and choked Nikolas
until he passed out. Diego ran out to find Maxie and started to strangle
her. Emily's ghost came to bring Nikolas back from the brink of
death. Nikolas took a deep breath and ran after Diego. When Nikolas saw
Diego choking Maxie, he saw Emily in Maxie's place. Maxie stabbed Diego
with a screwdriver and managed to get away long enough for Diego to trip
over a rope and hang himself.
MARCH 10TH Elizabeth visited Jason in his hospital room. His hands
were completely bandaged from the surgery. Lucky stood outside of Jason's
hospital room and overheard her tell Jason that she went to see Sam
because she felt guilty and believed that she had hit Sam with her car. As
Elizabeth and Jason discussed whether or not she had actually hit Sam,
Lucky listened. Jason told Elizabeth that they could not be sure of her
guilt. He told her that it might also have been Monica, whose car was also
damaged on the right front fender. Elizabeth agreed to wait before telling
Sam.
MARCH 13TH Lucky went to see Jason to tell him he knew that Elizabeth
could have hit Sam with her car, and knew that Jason was trying to cover
it up to protect her. Jason asked Lucky not to tell Elizabeth that he knew
the truth since they didn't know if she hit Sam with her car or not. Jason
told him that there were others on the road that night who could have hit
Sam with their cars, and he wanted to find out who it was before allowing
Elizabeth to take the blame for something she may not have done. Lucky
told Jason that he didn't want Elizabeth to get hurt either, but that he
still needed to do his job and find out who hit Sam.
MARCH 14TH Lucky admitted to Liz that he overheard her when she talked to
Jason about her accident. He and Jason didn't want to believe Liz was the
type of person to hit someone and leave them on the side of the road. Liz
realized Lucky thought she hit Sam on purpose. Lucky said he didn't want
to believe Liz did it, and Jason told him there were other leads. They
talked about how it could have been Monica, although she claimed her car
was stolen. Liz said maybe it wasn't Monica and maybe it was her. If Sam
found out that Liz hit her, Liz would lose custody of the kids. Everyone
would know about Jake's paternity. Everything they worked so hard for
would be for nothing. Lucky tried to reason with Liz and reminded her
there were extenuating circumstances. Liz apologized to Lucky. Sam is
shown listening outside of the doorway.
MARCH 19TH -20th She knocked on Elizabeth's door and gloated about having
the power to put Elizabeth in jail and make her pay. She played on
Elizabeth's guilt until Elizabeth realized that Sam was not remembering,
but had overheard her conversation with Lucky earlier. When Sam threatened
to lie on the stand and pretend that she remembered Elizabeth hitting her,
Elizabeth turned the tables and threatened to have Sam prosecuted for her
part in Jake's kidnapping. Sam threatened to press charges against
Elizabeth for hitting her with her car. Elizabeth threatened to have Sam
brought up on charges for aiding and abetting in Jake's kidnapping if she
did. Sam told Elizabeth she had no solid evidence to prove anything.
Elizabeth told her that Jason and Amelia found out what Sam did when she
let the woman kidnap Jake in the park and didn't try to stop her. Sam
pointed out that if Jason and Amelia had to testify in court, the secret
of Jake's paternity would have to come out. She asked Elizabeth if she
would sacrifice her son's safety to save her own skin. Sam asked Elizabeth
if she was even sorry for hitting her with the car. Elizabeth insisted
that it was an accident. Elizabeth told her that she wanted Lucky to be
happy but felt that Sam wasn't the woman who could make him happy. Sam
wished that all of Elizabeth's secrets and lies caught up to her someday
and said that she planned to celebrate when that happened.
MARCH 21ST Sam told Liz the only reason why she did not press
charges against Liz for the hit-and-run was because Sam had grown up
without a mother and she didn't want the same for Liz's children. Sam also
told Lucky he was a good father and she did not want him to lose custody
of the boys. Liz and Lucky both thanked Sam before she left for therapy.
MARCH 24th Jason entered the Quartermaine mansion through the patio doors
and confronted Monica, who had just poured herself a stiff drink, with
proof that she ran down Sam. Monica accused Jason of being the source of
her distress, but quickly admitted the truth of her actions when he told
her that film from security cameras in the area clearly showed that she
hit Sam with her car. He questioned Monica about her drinking. She
admitted that she'd had a blackout. She bitterly told Jason that she had
good reason to drink. She accused him of putting Sonny and his business
above his family. She blamed him for Emily's death, because Diego had
killed Emily in retaliation for the death of his father, Lorenzo Alcazar,
at Jason's hands. Jason took it all in and calmly told Monica that it was
okay for her to hate him, but he wanted her to get help. Lucky
showed up at Sam's to take her to dinner. She told him that Monica, not
Elizabeth, had run her down. Now, she said, he did not have to romance her
to keep her from turning Elizabeth in. Lucky looked stunned.
March 25th Monica lost consciousness when she crashed her car.Jason
went to his Monica's hospital room. She was distraught and talked about
how alone she felt because Alan and Emily were both gone. She said she
should be honoring their memories, but instead she was wasting her life.
Monica told Jason she loved him, despite the previous things that were
said in moments of anger. The moment clearly affected Jason, because when
he turned away he had tears in his eyes.
APRIL 4th - 7TH Michael is shot at Sonny's warehouse and Carly
called Jason to tell him about the shooting. The next morning, Sam asks
Liz about Michael's condition and is told he survived the night.
April 21-22nd In the lobby of GH, Jason ran into Sam, who offered
her support. She says this whole thing with Michael was a big wake up call
for her and she burys the hatchet and they make peace. Jason talked to Sam
about his concerns with Ian and his possible role in Michael's shooting.
Sam didn't know much, but she did tell Jason that Ian was an awfully big
flirt.
MAY 9TH Jason sat down to visit with Michael. He poured his heart out,
apologizing for all the mistakes that he made and for failing to protect
Michael as he had promised. Jason spoke very emotionally to Michael,
saying he was most worried about Carly. He was sure the new place would be
more comfortable for Michael, though.
May 14th, 2008 Lucky, Sam, and Elizabeth visited Nikolas after he
had a seizure, which should have been prevented by the medication that
Epiphany had administered shortly before the attack. Both Sam and
Elizabeth remembered that the same thing had happened to a patient of
Elizabeth's. That time it had been thought to be negligence on Elizabeth's
part, because the medication had not shown up in that patient's blood
work-just as it had not show up in Nikolas' just completed blood work. Sam
chimed in that her pain medication had also stopped working. Lucky,
Elizabeth, and Sam wondered if Dr. Devlin had been counterfeiting
medication along with his other crimes. Nikolas confirmed that Dr. Devlin
could have been a drug counterfeiter. Lucky, Sam, and Elizabeth were
shocked when Nikolas admitted that he had paid Dr. Devlin ten million
dollars for a drug that allowed him to have hallucinations of Emily.
June 2nd Sam and Spinelli were practicing eating at a formal dinner
when Jason came home. Sam and Spinelli were uncomfortable and both babbled
apologies and explanations while Jason remained silent. Spinelli feels
guilty for putting them both in an awkward position. Sam explains that she
was trying to help Spinelli with a girl he likes.
June 6th, Liz was about to take her break at the hospital when Sam asked
to speak with her. Sam apologized for her past behavior. She tried to
explain her relationship with Jason and, more recently, Lucky. Sam wanted
to spend more time with Lucky, but since Liz didn't allow Sam to be with
the boys, their time was limited. The two women talked and seemed to come
to a truce. Liz also apologized for her behavior. She said she would not
be able to forget what Sam did to Jake, but she would try to forgive Sam.
It was unhealthy for the two women to carry these grudges for so long. Liz
decided they could start working on integrating Sam into Cameron and
Jake's lives. Liz was concerned with doing anything too quickly and said
she didn't want to confuse the boys. She suggested maybe Sam and Lucky
could take the boys to the fair later in the summer. Sam was very pleased
to hear this and thanked Liz. Both women agreed they were happy they had
met and talked.
June 9th Lucky stopped by ostensibly to interview Jason about the Zacchara
fire. When Jason said no comment, Lucky agreed to let him stop by the
station later with his lawyer. Lucky was really there to tell Jason that
he felt privileged to be part of Jake's life and that he admired Jason for
making the decision that kept Jake safe and let Lucky be the father of the
boy. The two men shook hands.
July 16th Sam visited Nikolas at the clinic, a Spanish-speaking
woman came in carrying a sick little girl. With Sam acting as interpreter,
they found out that the woman had been to Mercy Emergency a few days
before and her child had been treated with antibiotics. When she returned
to the hospital, she had been turned away, with instructions to give the
medicine time to work. Matt said that the girl had a serious infection
that appeared to be untreated. He said that the child would die if they
did not get the infection under control. Nikolas sent the child to GH with
Matt and Nadine. Sam and Nikolas stayed behind and discussed the
counterfeit drug business that seemed to be rampant in Port Charles. Sam
was aghast at such a hurtful scam and wondered how to take action. Nikolas
and Sam went to GH, to find out the status on the little girl that had
been in the clinic earlier. Nadine came to the lobby and told them that
her condition was critical, but she was stable and it appeared that the
girl would recover.
At Sam's request Lucky met Sam at the clinic. Sam shared how devastated
she felt when her daughter died. She told Lucky that seeing a little girl
almost die had brought it all back to her and she was passionate about
taking action against those people trading in counterfeit drugs. Lucky
said there was not much the PCPD could do without more clues and facts.
Nikolas and Nadine joined Sam and implored Lucky to do something, Lucky
said that he would take down all the information and turn it over to the
narcotics division, because there was not enough money in the budget for a
task force. Sam asked what would happen if going through official channels
were too slow for her. Nikolas chimed in that he would put up whatever
money was necessary to fund a private task force to work in cooperation
with the PCPD. Lucky thought that was a good idea and they started making
plans.
July 17th At the free clinic, Sam tried to convince Lucky, Nikolas,
and Nadine that her plan, to find work with the smugglers in order to
uncover who was behind the counterfeit drug ring, would be the best way to
shut down the operation. Lucky refused to consider it. He felt it was too
dangerous and that Sam should allow the police to investigate the crime.
At GH, Lucky apologized to LIz and explained that he wouldn't be able to
take Cameron to a baseball game over the weekend because of work.
Elizabeth waved away his concerns and told Lucky that it wasn't a problem.
Lucky reached out and grabbed Elizabeth's hands as he thanked her
profusely. Just then, Sam walked up and began shouting at Lucky. Elizabeth
tried to explain that Sam had misread things, but Sam and Lucky ignored
her as they yelled at each other. Everyone watched at the argument
escalated. Sam announced that she was through with Lucky and stormed out
of the hospital. As she passed Elizabeth, Sam stopped for a moment and
told her, "He's all yours!" Sam walked into her penthouse and
found Lucky waiting for her. They kissed and then Sam thanked Lucky for
trusting her and staging their public breakup. Lucky said that he hated
lying to the people he cared for but that it was necessary.
July 24th Sam and Lucky were in Sam's apartment, discussing Lulu's
situation when they were interrupted by a knock. It was Elizabeth. While
Lucky hid, Sam answered the door. Elizabeth told Sam that she had stopped
by on a whim. With Lulu on the run with Johnny, Elizabeth felt that Lucky
needed Sam back in his life. Sam was surprised when Elizabeth asked her to
give Lucky another chance. Elizabeth quickly explained that all she and
Lucky shared was parenthood, nothing more. Sam kept up appearances and
told Elizabeth that she was afraid of having her heart crushed again.
Elizabeth understood but assured Sam that Lucky would respect and cherish
Sam's heart. Before she left, Elizabeth asked Sam not to give up on Lucky.
Once she was gone, Lucky stepped back into the living room. Sam admitted
that she respected Elizabeth for her concern for Lucky.
July 28th Sam went to the clinic to meet Lucky. She pretended to
have an arm injury and Nadine sent her to a treatment room where Lucky was
waiting for her. She told Lucky that she had a lead and a potential job
with a man named Karpov. Lucky wanted Sam to discontinue her attempt to
get a piloting job while he investigated Karpov through police channels.
Sam argued that she had an in and that getting her on the inside of the
operation was the only way to stop the counterfeit drugs. Nikolas walked
in while they were discussing the situation. He, too, preferred that Sam
not put herself in danger, but left the decision to Sam. Lucky was not
happy, but Sam felt that she was the only one who could get the evidence
necessary to stop the counterfeit drugs that were being distributed in
Port Charles and she insisted on continuing her undercover work. After
Nikolas left, Sam told Lucky that for the first time in a long time she
felt she had a purpose and a reason to get up in the morning. She begged
him to trust her to get the job done without putting herself in a
situation she could not handle.
July 30th At the clinic, Nadine told Sam that she was doing some
undercover work of her own because she suspected that Matt was involved
with the drug ring, but Nikolas interrupted and told her that she was not
to try to get information out of Matt. Nadine responded that Nikolas had
no control over her and she could do what she wanted. Lucky arrived to see
Sam, so Nikolas and Nadine went back to work. Sam and Lucky talked about
the case. Lucky wanted Sam to back off, but Sam would not. She got a phone
call about the piloting job and left to meet her potential boss. Sam
returned to the clinic to report on the meeting with her prospective
employer. She told Lucky that she had secured the job to pilot the goods.
Lucky told Sam to call him as soon as she knew where the landing would be
made, so he could stake it out and get the police involved, but Sam
insisted that the cops stay away from the delivery site.
August 4th Jerry caught Sam sneaking around a dockside warehouse. He
wanted to know what she was up to. She said she was looking for a job. She
wanted to know why he was there. He said he was looking for a place to
house his import-export business. She accused him of using Alexis to
further his nefarious schemes. He told her that they had a lot in common.
August 6th Sam was on the docks checking cargo when Lucky arrived. Sam
accused him of harassing her and they used that ruse to have a brief
conversation. Lucky wanted Sam to drop the investigation and give him time
to investigate Jerry Jax's involvement. Sam refused and went so far as to
slap him to remain convincing to those watching. Lucky stalked off, but he
was not happy to leave Sam there. Later, as she was checking invoices, a
box fell and broke open. As she was about to look at the contents, one of
the foremen yelled at her to stop. She did and the process of checking the
boxes went on. After the other workers left the area, Jerry, who was
lurking nearby wanted to know what Sam was up to.
August 8th Sam met with Karpov. He complimented her on a job well
done with the previous shipment, and gave her another assignment. Sam
returned to her apartment and found Lucky waiting for her. She was happy
to see him and threw herself into his arms. They both admitted that their
undercover work added an exciting element to their relationship and they
were enjoying it. They soon made love. Afterwards, Lucky asked Sam to move
in with him, once the counterfeit drug ring was exposed. Sam hesitated.
All she could promise him was that she would think about it.
August 15th Lucky was very worried about the shipment Sam was about to
help Karpov bring in. He made her promise to call him if anything went
wrong. Once on the boat, Sam told Karpov her plan for turning the boat
engines off so they would coast into the harbor. She was worried about
Harbor Patrol and also staying out of Jason Morgan's territory. Karpov
told her not to worry about things she knew nothing about. Her job was to
land the shipment safely or things would go very wrong for her and
everyone involved. Meanwhile, Sam oversaw the shipment being delivered and
shots rang out. Sam tried to take cover but was hit. She fell to the
ground just as Lucky moved in.
August 18th Sam was shot when the DEA intercepted Karpov's shipment on the
docks. Luckily, Lucky was there and was able to rescue Sam and protect her
from arrest. He wanted to take her to the hospital, but Sam insisted that
it was just a flesh wound and she convinced Lucky to take her back to her
apartment. When they arrived, Sam was still bleeding. She refused to go to
the hospital because she did not want to answer questions about a gunshot
wound and blow her cover. Lucky called Elizabeth instead.
August 25th Sam called Lucky to tell him that something suspicious
was happening on Pier 52. While she was leaving a message, she heard
voices, and hid. She overheard Jerry and Karpov speaking Russian as they
walked by her.
September 10 Sam got a call from Lucky, who thought he had
discovered a clue to Karpov's involvement in the drug trade. Sam met him
in an alley on the docks and confirmed that a carton Lucky found looked
like one that had gotten smashed in the shipment that she had brought in
for Karpov. The invoice inside the box showed a delivery to Mercy
Hospital. Sam said neither the box nor the invoice was linked directly to
either Jerry or Karpov. However, said Lucky, it was enough to send the
cops to Mercy. Sam and Lucky were sharing a victory kiss when Jerry
happened on them and expressed suspicions about their supposed break-up.
They recovered quickly. Sam accused Lucky of stalking her and not taking
"no" for an answer and said Lucky played the part of rejected
lover. When Jerry threatened to report Lucky's behavior, Lucky left. Sam
expressed her gratitude to Jerry, who seemed to accept her explanation.
September 29th Lucky and Sam stopped by Elizabeth's house to
pick up the boys for their camping trip together. Lucky got irate when
Elizabeth said she was going away with Jason. When Lucky tried to forbid
it, Sam pointed out gently that as long as Elizabeth kept her relationship
with Jason separate from the boys, he had no say in who Elizabeth kept
company with, just as Elizabeth had no say in who Lucky kept company with.
Lucky seemed to get a grip and acceded to Sam's assessment that it was
only fair to meet Elizabeth halfway. They parted on a good note.
October 13th Sam and Lucky were having an intimate dinner in her
apartment when she got a call from Karpov and had to leave. Sam met Karpov
on the docks. He told her that he had a valuable shipment coming in that
had to get through. Sam took out her maps and plotted a course for him. A
lurker watched from the shadows and snapped shots of them going over the
charts together.
October 14th Meanwhile, Sam received a call from Karpov. He wanted
to meet her at Pier 52 in an hour. Sam agreed and was just about to rush
out the door when Lucky walked in. He pulled her down onto the couch to
make out, but Sam stopped him and told him she was about to meet with
Karpov. He was disappointed and concerned, but he quickly let her go so
she could meet with her "employer." Sam hid at the piers
when she saw Jerry speaking with Karpov. She listened as they talked about
business, but one of Karpov's guards found her lurking in the shadows.
Just as Jerry left, Karpov's guard brought Sam out of hiding.
October 15th Karpov's henchman grabbed Sam as she was sneaking away after
witnessing him give a PDA filled with schedules and contact information to
Jerry. She told Karpov that she was just being cautious, but he searched
her and took her cell phone away. He put her on notice as they left for
the ship she was supposed to pilot into the harbor for him. On the docks,
Sam met Lucky after successfully landing Karpov's shipment. She told Lucky
about seeing Jerry and the PDA Karpov gave him. Sam told Lucky that she
could get it from Jerry and then they would have the proof they needed to
take down the counterfeit drug ring.
October 20th Alexis interrupted Sam and Jerry in the hot tub. Jerry told
Alexis that Sam had been coming on to him. Sam told Alexis that she was
trying to get proof against Jerry and that he had a PDA that contained
evidence that showed Jerry was working with Karpov. Jerry insisted that
Sam was lying. He offered Alexis the PDA and his password. When Alexis
opened the files, she found nothing incriminating. Sam was stunned.
Moments later, Mac showed up with a warrant. He wanted to arrest Jerry,
but Alexis insisted that Mac let him go. She advised Sam to get a lawyer.
Sam did not think that she needed a lawyer and told them about her
undercover operation to nail the counterfeit drug dealers. Alexis almost
believed her until Mac's search turned up pharmaceutical drugs that had
been stolen and replaced by counterfeit ones at Mercy Hospital. Jerry met
Karpov on the docks. He gloated about how well his plan to frame Sam and
draw the attention away from Karpov
had worked.
October 21st At her apartment, Sam tried to explain that she had
been doing her own private investigation by working for Karpov. She knew
Jerry was involved but she didn't have the evidence, yet. Alexis kept
telling her daughter to stop talking and incriminating herself. Sam said
she just wanted to make sure her mother believed her and didn't think she
was only trying to sleep with Jerry. Lucky suddenly rushed through the
door and asked what was going on. He had to pretend that he knew nothing
about what was happening, because he and Sam had been working undercover
together. Lucky didn't want to compromise his job or any possible evidence
in the case. Mac wanted him there anyway, but Sam acted as if her rights
were being violated by her ex stalking her when he heard a warrant was
being served at her address. Alexis tried to calm Sam and told her to
allow Mac to arrest her. Diane would meet them at the police station.
Alexis arrived at the police station first to find Jerry waiting. She
asked what he was doing there, but they were soon interrupted when Sam was
brought in wearing handcuffs. Sam tried to lunge at Jerry, but the police
officers escorted her held her back. Lucky brought Sam into the
interrogation room and asked what was going on. Sam told him all the drugs
had been planted in her apartment and her fingerprints would surely show
up on everything. Jerry was too smart to leave his fingerprints on
anything. Lucky was too preoccupied after having learned about Jerry and
Sam being caught by Alexis in the hot tub. Sam realized Lucky was jealous
and apologized immediately. Lucky asked if she would have slept with
Jerry, had it been necessary to get the evidence against him. Sam said she
wouldn't have, but Lucky didn't believe her.
October 24th Jerry became Sam's first visitor while she was locked up. He
brought her chocolates, but Sam was not charmed. Jerry said he was
genuinely sorry for turning her in, but he was pretty sure Nikolas would
be bailing her out soon. Jerry wanted to make a deal with Sam, though, to
cut Karpov out. Sam asked what the catch was, but Jerry never answered
her. Sam started to flirt with Jerry and walk closer to him until Lucky
interrupted them. He said he was there to help, but it looked like Sam had
all the help she could need. Jerry quickly left, so Sam could try to get
back on Lucky's good side. Lucky couldn't be convinced that Sam wouldn't
have slept with Jerry if Alexis hadn't walked in that night. Sam asked if
Lucky would meet her later after she was bailed out of jail so they could
talk. Lucky said he was going out of town, though, because he couldn't
deal with the mess at that moment.
October 31st After Sam finished her conversation with Matt, she
received a phone call from Jerry. He wanted to meet her at the docks. Sam
arrived and called out for Jerry, but he wasn't there. Sam pulled her gun
on Jason when he rounded the corner. He asked what she was doing there,
but suddenly there was an explosion and he and Sam were flying in the air.
